A New Moderator!
« on: June 15, 2009, 03:06:29 AM »
You may have noticed ArtHarris.com has a new global moderator!  2Spunky brings to ArtHarris.com over 20 years of experience with a major media company, and has done assorted editing and reporting during that time, including her work with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, National Georgraphic's Lisa Ling, and David Neuman, current President of Current Media, former Vice President Al Gore's media company.  We’re thrilled she also brings with her a passion for crime and justice—and missing children—and has agreed to keep this place at least reasonably sane, and  always reasonable.

She understands I like it to be a model for a utopia forum where it runs itself with self-policing, with a respect for each other, even if critical of another’s opinions or analysis.

Please join me in welcoming Spunky in her new capacity, and as always, please let me or Spunky know if you have any specific issues, ideas, etc.

MOD UPDATE:

Thank you all for rallying behind Spunky in her first amazing week at the helm. All you amazing artharris.com readers and writers and thinkers are drawing more visitors and members who can't seem to get enough of each other, with record page views and time online, even if there was some testing of Spunky's riot control skills.

We're lucky to have such a saavy, dedicated and incredibly hard-working mod extraordinaire. She's made some hard calls but always with the well-being of the forum members in mind, and remains committed to fairness and fairplay. So let's try to play ball with her and keep this a place where respect for conflicting opinions and each other reigns... If someone pushes your button, try to respond without lashing out, and see if behaviour changes...after a few warnings to play by the rules, Spunky has my blessing to keep the peace, even if it means some have to go the penalty box. Like a hockey game, the ref can let them back on the ice to play again...just watch how you weild those sticks--to play not slay.

Ok, let's find Haleigh, and let us know other cases you'd like us to cover...

This is your place, and as long as it serves a purpose and a higher calling to get at the truth, and everyone treats each other the way they'd like to be treated, we'll keep pushing forward, peeling the onion--and try not to cry.==Art
