The Life and Death of Michael Jackson 6/26/2009
« on: June 26, 2009, 03:07:49 PM »
Art will have to move this later, as I've posted it here since there was no other heading that fit the subject matter...

CBS new is reporting that a press release by the coroners office in Los Angeles  will begin shortly.

God rest your soul, Michael, and be with those that love and care about you.

~ Spunky

When you're standing at the gate, and you ask the question, "why?", how will you feel when you hear the reply?

The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.

That is a nice picture Spunky.

Earlier I was struck by a thought, the King of Pop (MJ) died way too soon.  The King of Rock and Roll (Elvis) died too soon.  They were connected by Lisa Marie.  Just one of those things that hit me.

I hope he rests in peace, at long last, as those he chose to surround himself with--I  don't think, served him well....thinking of ANS and others....poor troubled soul...

Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?

This is very sad and as Lisa Presley said there certainly seem to be close parallels with the death of Elvis, which I also remember vividly.

Watson - I miss you on the Haleigh thread.

Spunky - I have 2 shelties; it's a wonderful breed!

Yes... she released a beautiful statement today. She also said that when they were together they were talking once about her father's death and Michael looked at her "very intensely" and said he was afraid that he would have to face the same things as her father did... meaning his addiction to prescription meds.

Rest in peace, Michael. You were loved by so many  and you will be missed for a long time!! May you moonwalk your way to Heaven and sing for God's Angels!

I grew up with MJ as many have. It's so sad to think that money and fame and he was still very sad and unhappy, lonely. I pray he will be at peace now that he is with our Lord. You will be missed. :'(

Rest in peace Michael. May your soul finally fly above the horizon like your music has.

I never knew how much love a heart could hold, until somebody called me mommy.

[/size]font=Verdana]so many people are learning after the fact just how wonderful a person, full of love to give, and a generous soul like no other, Michael Jackson really was.  It is such a shame that the tabloids and papparazzi win over during the life and the truth and news that comes out after his death paints more of the real picture (of course there are still those that want to spread horrific rumors even after one is dead and gone).  I have watched old interviews Michael did with many, and have learned so many great things about Michael, I have discovered a new found respect for the King of Pop. One of the most talented men ever!  Some choose to call him different, I choose to call him a legend.  His legacy will always live and so many people that he has touched the lives of....regular ol' people that needed a touch of love or generosity that he has graced, will continue to come forward and tell their stories.  In the end, Michael's was a generous, caring person whose life ended prematurely, but whose memory will live on forever.

Rest in peace Michael.... finally....some peace....the peace you longed and hoped for during your life, will now come to you.   You will never be forgotten.

Has everyone forgot what he did to the children omg i cant believe how anyone could worship this person but this is jmo. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

I don't know that anyone here is worshipping MJ.  I know I recognize that Michael Jackson was not always associated with scandal.  I'm sure every second of his life will be dissected and I'll have to determine how I wish to remember him.  For now, I'm grateful for his music, his talent.
