Ayden, age 4, has cancer; Agent Jason Jolicoeur Fights For His Son

At four, his son, Ayden, is a tough cookie, fighting bad guys like his Dad, FDLE special agent Jason Jolicoeur, a fearless gang buster praised for tackling the violent Crips and Bloods in Flagler County, Florida, and mopping up their mean streets.

Only in Ayden’s case, the bad guy is cancer, a rare and aggressive childhood type called Glioblastoma that made him sick while on family vacation in April. In May, he was diagnosed with the rapidly spreading disease; doctors removed a tumor and urged a pricey treatment called proton therapy and chemo.

“As a Dad, I’ve got to wake up every day and know that beast is in his back,” agent Jolicoeur told First Coast News, a father who watches his son smile every day, then excuses himself to go into the bathroom to “cry my head off.”

Art Harris Exclusive: Misty Croslin on where Haleigh’s body was tossed

By my count, Misty Cummings has flunked four lie detector tests, an initial test by the PCSD, a polygraph by Texas Equusearch, a layered voice analysis by investigator T.J. Ward, and the secret police polygraph we broke here at The Bald Truth that detectives were rooting for her to pass, or at least not fail “miserably,” according to my sources close to the case.

As veteran prosecutors tell me, nuggets of truth can be found even in the yarns of tattletale tellers, and that’s the challenge faced by the embattled investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, FDLE and saavy Florida State Attorney homicide prosecutors based in St. Augustine as they struggle to find a case, any case, that can be made against whoever kidnapped and killed little Haleigh. When the state police investigator assigned to bird dog Misty Croslin and her family showed up at their home in Satsuma, Florida Tuesday, her sister in law, Lindsay Croslin, recognized FDLE agent Jason Jolicoeur immediately and cracked up laughing.

“I said, ‘You look kinda funny with a bulletproof vest on, you’re usually dressed in such nice clothes,’” Lindsay Croslin tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview. “I was trying to make a joke out of it.”

Only the agent wasn’t laughing, said Lindsay, a recent nursing school graduate, mother of three and wife of Misty’s brother, Tommy. “He said, ‘Is Hank here?’ So I turned around and said, ‘Hank, Jason wants to talk to you,’ and the next thing I hear is Hank saying, ‘Are you arresting me?’” Read the rest of this entry »
