Geraldo at Large has invited 2x Emmy winning journalist Art Harris on his FOX show tonight to talk about the latest in the Casey Anthony murder trial, set to begin Tuesday in Orlando.
After a megaton of pre-trial publicity, can the jury render a fair verdict? We’ll talk about that and more.
Some experts might argue it’s not just the quantity of publicity, but the quality, the visceral hatred spread far and wide and whipped up by radio shows, editorials, TV talk hosts and blogomania against a defendant because it’s such an extraordinary crime story with elements like:
Party girl Mom who doesn’t report her child missing for 30 days, then poses for photos with boy toys in hard drinking mode…Then comes evidence…a little girl’s body, a car trunk her father, an ex cop, says smells like a dead body…and more. Read the rest of this entry »
Art Harris on Nancy Grace: Haleigh Cummings Update

Why has no one in Misty Croslin’s family cracked open with what happened to the missing five year old she was babysitting on Feb. 9, 2009, if they do know? For almost two years, they pointed to Tennessee cousin Joe Overstreet as the culprit, before Misty says she made that up, and Chelsea Croslin recently apologized…
Now, The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that it was Tommy Croslin who ordered sister Misty to concoct one of the many stories she’s told about what happened the night Haleigh Cummings disappeared. Sources familiar with the investigation tell me, in a brilliant move, police captured that conversation on tape as the siblings were allowed to ride together in a patrol car enroute to the St. John’s County Jail, where they were housed before drug trafficking convictions earned them a total of 40 years in the big house (25 for Misty, 15 for Tommy).
After Tommy apparently prepped his sister on what to say, Misty elaborated that she’d huddled under the covers with Haleigh’s little brother Junior, as we first reported, glimpsing cousin Joe Overstreet grab the screaming child, and head out the trailer door with Tommy, before she heard a van door slam. Atlanta Criminal Defense lawyer Ray Giudice: how to crack Misty Croslin

Last night on the Nancy Grace HLN “America’s Missing” special, frustrated callers wondered what it would take to pressure truth from the one person police still believes holds the key to what happened to missing five year old Haleigh Cummings: her ex babysitter Misty Croslin, now serving 25 years on drug charges in a Florida women’s prison.
So why not file obstruction charges against her if law enforcement can prove she’s deliberately interferring with their attempt to solve a murder?
If anyone knows what tactics can whip truth out of a reluctant suspect, it’s Atlanta criminal defense lawyer Ray Giudice, a former prosecutor, who wondered why Croslin would turn down an immunity offer in the missing child case-unless she had a hand in the death or was protecting somone she loved or feared. Updated:
“Strap me up!” an angry Chelsea Croslin told The Bald Truth Wednesday night when we asked why her husband, Timmy Croslin, had “shown deception” in a police polygraph the day after five year old Haleigh vanished, as sources close to the case exclusively revealed to me.
The day after five year old Haleigh Cummings was reported missing by her father’s babysitter, then 17 year old girlfriend Misty Croslin, her brother Timmy, agreed to take a police polygraph, as did father Ronald Cummings and several other family members.
As it would turn out, all three would flunk that one, or subsequent lie detector tests.
“They never told us that,” says Chelsea. Read the rest of this entry »
