Art Harris Tuesday on Nancy Grace Show

The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that after a month behind bars in the St. John’s County Florida jail, 18 year old Misty Croslin has written a jailhouse letter detailing what she claims happened to the missing five year she reported missing on Feb. 9, 2009 while babysitting Haleigh Cummings at her then boyfriend’s trailer in Satsuma, Florida.

Sources close to the case tell me investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department missing child task force obtained a copy of the letter from a Croslin relative Misty wrote last week and are comparing it to other stories she’s told before. “Part of it they believe, and part of it they don’t,” said a source who has read the letter, and says investigators are going through it with a fine tooth comb.

“The problem with Misty is that they need someone credible to corraborate anything she says because she’s told conflicting stories about that night,” says the source.

Art Harris talks Haleigh Cummings on HLN’s Nancy Grace Show

The Bald Truth reports how investigators in the missing child case of Haleigh Cummings are now using her father, Ronald, as a sort of “undercover Dad,” in an attempt to crack his ex wife, Misty Croslin, who he believes holds the key to finding what happened to Haleigh.

Haleigh Cummings, 5, missing one year tomorrow…

Here’s the Putnam County Sheriff Department’s Media release we just received updating the public on the status of the Haleigh Cummings investigation:

“As many of you know, February 10, 2010 marks the one year anniversary of Haleigh Cummings’ disappearance from her home in Satsuma, Florida. Sheriff Jeff Hardy understands the public’s interest in this investigation, and everyone’s desire for the return of Haleigh to her family. Sheriff Hardy has asked that the following information be released to the public in an effort to provide insight into the investigative efforts being taken to bring this case to a logical conclusion. I was shocked to see a chyron go up on air quoting Lisa Croslin telling daughter Misty that “Art Harris” was trying to bail her out.

In fact, I’ve never even spoken with her mother or Misty about bail, but have been chasing a variety of rumors suggesting someone sees gold in them thar hills, and asking other family members, who if anyone has approached them about it, as well as her lawyer, Robert Fields.

In an exclusive interview with the Bald Truth Thursday, Misty’s sister, Chelsea, tells me that Fields doesn’t trust any third party type who has approached him to talk bailing out his client. Good instincts. Read the rest of this entry »
