It was a first in Anna Nicole Smith FOX News media coverage, and a surprise to a guest who expected a knife in the heart, or stab in the back, on a show that’s been a revolving door for attackers calling Howard K. Stern every name in the book.
Hold the presses: was that Stern, Anna Nicole’s executor and lawyer, live and on the air with host Greta Van Susteren Tuesday? Indeed, only this time it was different.
Howard talked and Greta listened. “I think she treated me fairly,” Anna Nicole executor Stern told me in an exclusive interview after the show. Take a look at our clips from Greta –more on the next page –and tell us how you felt the interview went. Read the rest of this entry »

While FOX News is promoting Howard K. Stern’s live Tuesday night interview with Greta Van Susteren as “shocking” before the first word has been uttered, perhaps the biggest shock of all is that Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer and longtime companion accepted an invite to go on a talk show he’s declined until now.
Many of his critics have grown uncharacteristically silent, or at least subdued, since the Bahamas inquest jury into the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, last week ruled the 20 year old with a history of depression and drug issues, died of an accidental drug overdose that Stern, nor anyone else, had anything to do with. A coroner’s jury in the Bahamas looking into the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, declared Monday the 20 year old died of “non-dependent drug use,” in other words, an accidental overdose, ruling no further criminal investigation necessary.
The verdict certainly exonerates Anna Nicole’s long time companion Howard K. Stern of any wrong-doing. “There was never any evidence to suggest Howard did anything wrong,” said popular Bahamas talk show host Lincoln Bain in an exclusive telephone interview after sitting in on court Monday. After months of wrangling, The Bald Truth has learned the court-appointed legal guardian who charged the estate of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter almost $200,000 to look after Dannileynn’s best interests has agreed to accept a drastic reduction of his bill.
“There’s going to be a significant cut in fees, as there should be,” a source inside the negotiations with Miami lawyer Richard Milstein told me in an exclusive interview. “I’d rather not say how much since we hope it will be finalized in court this week.”
Milstein and lawyers for Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn’s father, and estate executor Howard K. Stern, are scheduled for a “case managment” hearing before Broward County Circuit Judge Mark A. Speiser on Tuesday, April 1, according to documents dannielynn-milstein-casemanagmnt-401-08-c.pdf obtained exclusively by The Bald Truth. Read the rest of this entry »
Friends Say After Daniel Died, His Mother Died of a “Broken Heart.”

In a legal victory for Anna Nicole Smith’s beleagured lawyer and longtime companion, Howard K. Stern, the Bahamian magistrate says he will instruct inquest jurors that homicide has been ruled out as an option as a cause of death in Daniel Smith.
We’re told Magistrate William Campbell today hashed out four possible options jurors can choose from in determining cause of death in the 20 year old son of the late Playboy model and reality TV star, who died of a drug overdose in September, 2006:
–accident, “misadventure non-dependent drug use and an “open verdict,” which means they cannot agree how he died.
Jurors will return March 31, courtroom sources tell The Bald Truth, to hear the judge’s instructions, then take two hours to return their verdict, or “finding,” as it’s called. Read the rest of this entry »
Believe it or not, Anna Nicole Smith appeared happy, lucid and sober during the day the so called Clown Video was shot at her Horizons house in the Bahamas, according to a guest who attended a belated birthday party for the daughter of Ford and Gina Shelley. Riley had just turned nine, when a very pregnant ex- Playboy model pulled out the stops to show her a good time.
“Anna was fine,” says Tara Grinna, an acclaimed swimsuit designer in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth. “Ford wouldn’t have left Riley there if she hadn’t been.”
Almost six months later, after Smith died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in Florida, Tara says she was shocked to see Ford on talk shows touting the Clown tape as proof Anna had to be gorked out on drugs.
“Absolutely not while we were there,” she tells me, “and we there at least a couple of hours. That was the first time I’d heard that.” Read the rest of this entry »
Lawyer Howard K. Stern Warms Up On The Stand…In Florida

In what some described as “powerful” testimony, Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer and longtime companion told a Bahamas’ inquest jury Tuesday what he’s been confiding to friends and family for months–that he was shocked to learn Daniel was abusing drugs, and at first didn’t buy toxicology reports citing a deadly stew of methadone and anti-depressants as what killed her son.
According to the Associated Press, other media accounts and my sources in court, Stern told the jury looking into the cause of death that drug abuse just didn’t jive with the young man he knew.
At first, he saw the toxicology reports as “a set-up,” then learned more about Daniel’s secret life, heart-breaking clues he only recently connected up—and has had a hard time accepting — after he died: a bottle of Zoloft in his backpack, that he may have taken a bottle of methadone pills from Anna’s Studio City house, that he’d been admitted to a hospital ICU for valium “misuse,” that he was depressed after breaking up with a girlfriend. Here’s what Bianca Symonette reports in Tuesday’s Nassau Guardian:
“The inquest into the death of Daniel Smith, the 20-year-old son of the late actress and model Anna Nicole Smith, resumed on Monday. Larry Birkhead, father of Anna Nicole’s one-year-old daughter Dannielynn, took the witness stand and gave evidence indicating that Daniel had stolen a bottle of methadone from his mother’s medications.
According to Anna Nicole’s former lover, during the Easter weekend in April 2006, Anna Nicole noticed that a bottle of her methadone medication was missing, after she returned from spending a few days in a hotel in California. Birkhead said Daniel was the only one at home at the time, but he denied taking the medication. Read the rest of this entry »

Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, was caught on his mother’s home security camera taking a bottle of methadone pills from her hiding place, Larry Birkhead testified Monday in the Bahamas inquest into the 20 year old’s tragic overdose in September, 2006.
Sources in the courtroom also tell The Bald Truth exclusively that when the bottle turned up missing in April, 2006, Birkhead said he reviewed the tape from her Studio City home with Anna Nicole and it showed Daniel red-handed, with friends in the house rummaging around. Later, he tesified, they also discovered an empty bottle of whiskey in the garbage. Read the rest of this entry »

A Los Angeles probate judge Tuesday declared Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, as sole beneficiary of the late Playboy centerfold’s estate.
“It was a long time coming, but we’re delighted the court upheld Anna’s intention that Dannielynn be named sole heir and receive all her assets,” said Smith estate attorney Bruce Ross in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth.
The ruling clears the way for the baby girl to inherit as much as a half billion dollars from the estate of Texas tycoon Howard Marshall, late husband of Anna Nicole who had fought to inherit her fair share from the brief marriage –a drama still hotly contested by his heirs.
