Tommy Croslin, Misty Finger Cousin Joe!
Art Harris on Jane Velez Mitchel: Cops Pushing Misty’s Ronald Button!
From Bald Truth Staff, (c) www.artharris.com, all rights reserved.
We’ll ask you the same thing, Jane Velez Mitchel asked Art Harris: Will Ronald’s plea deal to testify against ex-wife Misty Croslin and her brother, Tommy, in the drug trafficking case in exchange for a possible 15 year sentence send her a message that he’s throwing her under the bus? Or is he? Sources close to the case laid out plans to try to turn him against her, and use her Ronald hot button to make her crack…
Will it finally work?
We loved sitting on the couch in the HLN’s Atlanta studio with our old friend and fellow journalist Jane Velez Mitchell, who always lets us finish our thought…Not that we’re complaining.
We also appreciate how Nancy Grace keeps the pressure on the case, and law enforcement sources tell us the show is actually working to do just that. As we’ve seen, her whole family watches it and reports back on the jail tapes how made she makes them.
As of now, we’re scheduled to be a guest on The Nancy Grace Show Friday night, May 21, with the latest on the search for Haleigh Cummings’ snatcher, her remains, a murder weapon and her father’s plea deal, as Ronald Cummings’ lawyer says he’s getting close to nailing down 15 year prison term in exchange for testifying against ex wife Misty Croslin, and her brother, Tommy. Cummings was facing several decades more had he been tried on all five trafficking charges.
Even if they agree to agree, Ronald attorney Terry Shoemaker has made it clear, that a judge won’t endorse any deal until all the drug defendants are tried, and Ronald’s value will evaluated, and rewarded with a sentence reduction, or not.
He’s said he expects the deal to go down soon, before Ronald’s drug trial, set for next month in Palatka, Fla.

I think that Misty will spill it if Ron testifies against her. However, with all the missing pieces, and majority of posts seem to think Ron has something to do with this, who knows – maybe he wont accept a plea deal, just for that fact – that Misty will spill everything. If Ron, really did have nothing to do with it, I think he will accept the deal, and screw Misty to the wall, as any father who lost a daughter should and would do. I think Ron is very abusive and narcissistic, and thinks he is above the law, and can’t face the fact that he did something to his kid if that is what happened. Another thought that I did have about this case, is maybe the drug overdose thing is not too far from the truth. If anything else but that happened, the police would’ve found something. If she died a violent death there would be some kind of evidence to be found. This bunch is too dumb to clean up a crime scene. Maybe, just MAYBE, Misty and Ronald commonly dosed their children to get them to sleep, and this time, maybe Misty or Ron gave her something so she would sleep and instead killed her. Thanks Art for all you do!

I don’t think Ron will be getting a deal (15 yrs)..The guy has a rap sheet as long as my arm, separate from this case…With 15 years, he’ll likely be out in 7, hooking up with his old buds, and back in jail..After seeing the video of he and Misty selling drugs, I can’t see a 15 year sentence..What kind of plea would he deal? They weren’t mine, they were Misty’s drugs? Tommy gave them to me? That doesn’t fly IMO..Possibly he will rat out his supplier..I think Ron will get 25 years, and no plea..Misty isn’t going to tell anything she hasn’t already said.. She’s a tough nut to crack, excuse the pun.. lol and she isn’t going to rat on her lover, UNLESS he accuses her of killing Haleigh…and if she isn’t guilty she may tell all she knows..IMO Looking forward to seeing/hearing you on NG Friday night, Art…Don’t let her put words in your mouth, and get ready to repeat yourself..lol She enjoys asking guests to repeat their answer..

Honsetly Art i don’t see what Ron has to offer, to testify to, especially in regard to Tommy. I doubt Misty is going to react either way unless she has something so bad on Ron that talking would get her a deal. I’m sure she thinks she is going to be tried as a juvenile offender and if so it won’t matter what he says. If what she’s been hiding doesn’t have anything to do with Ronald, i doubt his testimony against her will be the thing that gets her to talk. Sometimes it just takes TIME to reflect and see a clearer picture, and the fact that Misty has tried to blame others including Tommy tells me she had a large role in what happened to Haleigh. Enough is in the open now even if there had been a threat made, it’s not a valid point anymore. From her perspective i would bet she’s more willing to take her chances on these charges and hope for the juv. offender ruling than to tell what happened to Haleigh, which would probably get her a life sentence anyway. Both Misty and Tommy probably figure they have a better chance at less jail time on the drug charges than if they tell the truth about Haleigh, and Joe, he isn’t talking because as long as he doesn’t remember it, it didn’t happen. JMO.

how made she makes them. Mad?
May 20th, 2010 at 7:05 am
They need to turn and point their fingers toward them and toward Putnam County Jail facility. These are the ones involved! Possibly even Timmy Croslin!! This is such a sad case. Joe is a scapegoat if we are expected to believe the story we are getting right now of his involvement. Joe could very well be involved, but it was over something other than what we are hearing. These folks are truely OFF THEIR ROCKERS to come up with such a rediculous fabrication!!
May 20th, 2010 at 8:47 am
JMO but if Ronald is waiting on a deal, then he knows exactly what happened to his daughter. I have always thought he knew what happened and I never fell for his “crocodile tears” on tv. He needs to fry (more so than the others) because he is her father, and all he cares about is saving his own a–.

I still don’t understand Ronald getting same sentence as Hope when the videos can solidly convict both Misty and Tommy without a single word uttered by RC.
May 20th, 2010 at 6:15 pm
I still find it very hard to believe that Ronald did not play a major part in Haliegh’s disapearance. Maybe LE will make Misty believe Ron is throwing her under the bus and she will stop protecting him. This whole case is a big mystery. I am sure LE knows much more than they have released to the public, but for it all to go on for over a year makes Misty a very smart seventeen year old girl. A smart girl that should be locked away from the public. If Ronald knows anything at all about what happen that night, he should have already told, instead of running around talking about killing people. Let’s hope he doesn’t make any more babies in the future.

my thoughts on this is, Misty will get heart broken when Ronald testifies against her, and feel betrayed. My expectations are, that as much as Misty lies, and has lied, her next story is going to be Ronald had more to do with , and knows much more about the night Haleigh disappeared. Remember, she is young, childish, and is going to seek revenge, because her “Knight In Shining Armor” is going to throw her under the bus and betray her ! As for Ronald, of course this is a time Ronald can’t walk away with no repremand for his offenses. As in the PAst when he never had to serve jail time, because his Mommy always found a way to keep him out of jail. This time, since she can’t halp him put of this one…he will do anything to at least reduce his time in jail.
This whole bunch area joke ! I say Misty is still NEVER going to tell the truth about what actually happened to Haleigh…Misty will be looking at a very long time in jail on the drug charges, so she certainly isn’t going to say anything that will put her at fault in anyway, or having any part in haleigh’s disappearance. She certainly isn’t going to do or say anything to add even more time then she will already be getting…she’ll hope she can one day make it out of jail. A possible death penalty, or life in prison is certainly not in her agenda.

Art, I sure wish Nancy Grace would let you finish a sentence! Kat

Art, why in the world would they make a plea deal with Ronald C. The videos are quite clear. I understand they think they are after bigger fish so to speak, but come on if Ronald C is totally innocent in any of these deals, then I will eat crow. Anyone that has watched his body language and actions knows better than the poor innocent father he trys to put out to the public. Grandma (Ronald’s mother) should know more than what she is telling also. Ronald also gets out of what ever trouble he seems to get himself into and mama is right there with him.
May 21st, 2010 at 10:47 pm
Yes, Sylvia Moffatt! My thoughts EXACTLY! I agree with you. What a total joke….”plea deal” for R. Cummings?? yuck!
I hope he rots in jail!

Who is Kayla? There was one tape (shown on NG)with Misty and another girl in the car with the UC guy and when the girls were about to get out Misty said her name and i’m quite sure it was Kayla. Her face was blurred out on the tape so we couldn’t see it. Was she someone going along for the ride but didn’t take part in any deals? Also, anything going on with Donna Brock? We never hear anything about her. If she was UC i could understand them quietly just letting her go, but if she, on her own, went to another state to get prescriptions filled and carried them across state lines, well, that’s definitely trafficking. Missed you tonight Art, was looking forward to it. I just don’t care much about the case that was covered but i suppose some people do. Hopefully soon Art.

Kat, I agree. I also wish that Nancy would tell the callers to quit with all their compliments on her and her twins…or is that a requirement in order to get on and finally ask a question?
She wastes about half the air time fawning over those twins, showing their pictures, and then there are all the birthday wishes and others to her friends or fans!
I have been tuning in everyday hoping to see Art and get his latest but needless to say, have been very disappointed with Nancy Grace and I don’t think those other cases she is reporting on are at all interesting. Yes, they are sad as they all are but the woman in the suitcase was at least located and identified and nobody even knew she was missing so why all the attention now focused on her? Anyone with information should have enough sense to call LE. Until there is some news, she needs to go back to this case or others that need to be solved.
May 22nd, 2010 at 3:34 am
Hi Art,
By the way, I would love, just LOVE to hear a really smart strategy from the LE on this ridiculous case!
How about putting another girl/young woman about Misty’s age in jail/prison right near her cell. You know someone to be in their with similiar drug charges and someone who is smart and knows how to manipulate because this person is PLANTED in jail to get closer to Misty and be her “friend” and pscycho-analyze her and become her BESTEST friend and then leak any and all info. to the cops!
Come on…can’t they do something like that??
Pulease already…these cops have got to solve this stupid case!

I,too, believe LE is playing Ron like a fiddle. I’ve always believed he had everything to do with Haleigh’s disappearance. Right now, I think Misty and Tommy are just making up stories about Joe because they’re afraid of Ronald or Ronald’s suppliers. They both know the real truth and maybe Tommy really does fear for his family’s safety…but not from cousin Joe. So they use Joe for a scapegoat knowing that he won’t be charged without any evidence. I think it’s very very sad about Haleigh, but put yourself in these kids’ shoes…they’re scared to death of someone out there. They’ve seen what happened to Haleigh. As long as Misty is in jail, she probably feels much safer, but not enough to come clean about Ronald. Or maybe she already has, but LE isn’t putting it out there yet, while they’re gathering more evidence against him. So they let Tommy and Misty tell their stories for the public to hear, knowing that Joe will be all right when this is all over. They’ve probably instructed both of them not to say anything about Ronald yet in their phone conversations, etc. Who knows? Maybe this whole drug bust was just a set-up, too. Maybe Misty, Tommy, Donna and Hope were actually part of the sting operation just to get Ronald behind bars. Probably not…but just food for thought. Maybe LE has reason to believe Haleigh is still alive and they’re trying to ensure her safety through all of this. So LE is being very cautious right now. Why play all of their cards until they have a winning hand? JMO

It will be a sad day when LE gives Ronald a deal…They dont need him to prove their drug case against Misty. They have it all on tape.
May 24th, 2010 at 3:48 am
Haleigh was at an age she was noticing things and also telling what when on in the house. Children are innocent, don’t cover up for adult, they will tell on you unless threatened or silenced. She knew what went on and was rebelling so Ron gave Misty the right to put her in her place. Something went out of hand and the last thing they wanted was a police investigation at their door. Too many questions to answer and too many people that knew about it.
May 26th, 2010 at 1:49 am
Two, or maybe even three, times, you say, “In Tommy’s own voice.” But we never hear “Tommy’s own voice.” Not once or TWICE, NOT TOMMY’S OWN VOICE? Why?
May 26th, 2010 at 1:54 am
“Sources close to the investigation?” We want names, Art, NAMES? “Sources” include sewers and barking dogs. Any human people involved in this situation?
May 28th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
Gosh found this after ‘clicking’ James Brown…
Gosh, seems to remind me of when my clothing got lost.
Although, I should not dwell in the past seems not even the highly educated do much more these days.
WWIII…2 young men in my neck of the wood, in their early and mid 20′s have died in the far east…
And seems we can’t stop ‘this train’…

Kate–
I’m sure you do, Kate, but then I wouldn’t have any reliable “sources close to the investigation” who trust their identities won’t be revealed if they share reliable information on background. We’d all love to have people attach names and faces to what they’re saying, but if we did that, we’d have few sources close to the investigation talking to The Bald Truth. Duh. Remember Watergate? Know who Deep Throat was? Protecting sources who insist on remaining anonymous is the Haleigh world we live in.
My readers will likely be shaking their heads wondering what planet you are watching this from, shocked again at the lack of education visitors like you you exhibit about what it takes to dig up and bring you solid information, often before others, and often exclusively, about the case and the players.
That’s why my valued and educated readers come here for; like many of us who follow the case and its frustrating twists, turns and dead ends, they understand journalism is a snapshot of history and that tomorrow we may learn something else that perhaps changes the focus. And that we do our best to call it the way we find it…
You are certainly free to keep lapping up the lean gruel of rumors and spin you find elsewhere. And if you’re feeling a bit downcast and homeless, you are always welcome…We try to feed the hungry with a real meal, and always appreciate our valued posters and visiting web detectives who not only have the appreciation and good manners to say Thank You, but who keep pitching in to serve…even folks like you who only know how to complain. You’ve heard the phrase pearls before swine?
What’ll it be, Kate, feast or famine? Art

art your the greatest..Im still holding out on that phone conversation when Tommy said yeah but…
grrrr, trying to be calm and patient on what
Tommy meant by that..theres so much more then whats heard.
My mama always said that if you read between the lies..
that some of it is truth to start with..then it goes in the wind…lost. So many of us can speculate as to what happened …whos involved..thats why I am trying to be patient cause soon as Ron goes to court to testify
against them..the court room will be a mad house.
wish I was a fly on the wall!!!!!

Art:
Do you happen to know where the actual tapes are of Ronald's phone conversations or jail house visits from Teresa are located online to listen too?
I saw a clip on either Nancy or Jane's shows and can not find them, please help me if you can. Thanks so much
