Exclusive: Misty Croslin Flunks Secret Police Polygraph!!

The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that Misty Croslin has flunked a secret police polygraph test she took last month in an attempt to shore up accounts she gave in recent jailhouse letters about what happened the night she reported five year old Haleigh Cummings missing from the trailer she shared with the girl’s father, Ronald Cummings.
“The polygraph operator said, ‘She didn’t just flunk, she flunked miserably,’” a source familiar with the hush-hush test tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview.
“The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arranged it, picked her up and took her to an interview room in our jail,” recalled Sgt. Chuck Mulligan, spokesman for the sheriff’s department in St. John’s County outside St. Augustine, Florida who later requested we clarify that he didn’t know the nature of the meeting. For all other questions, he referred us to PCSD, where no one would officially confirm or deny the Croslin test ever happened.
Since our story broke, other news media have scrambled to try to confirm our exclusive, meeting a wall of frustration. No police officials will publically comment about the polygraph. However, no one in law enforcement has disputed the accuracy of our account, or our sources. The Bald Truth stands behind the story.
The 18 year old former babysitter has been incarcerated in a solo cell in the St. John’s County Jail, charged with 8 felony drug trafficking charges and going nowhere soon with a whopping $1.5 million bond. An undercover police drug sting operation netted her, ex husband Ronald Cummings, her brother, Tommy Croslin, and two others.
Sources familiar with the test tell me her polygraph questions were carefully crafted to sort fact from fiction in the shocking claims Croslin made in two letters family members tell me they received with her details about what happened the night 911 was called on Feb. 10, 2009 in the pre-dawn darkness.
On jail tapes, Misty Croslin can be heard discussing letters she planned to write her family, telling sister in law, Chelsea Croslin, that what she now recalled could hurt one member of the family they cared about, and another who was not as special.
In an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, Chelsea tells me the letter she received from Misty several weeks ago detailed her claim that a cousin visiting from Tennessee snatched Haleigh after dropping by the trailer with her brother Tommy Croslin—an account Tommy denies.
“I’m aware of that whole story,” Tommy Croslin attorney Jim Werter tells me, “but it’s bogus. A lie detector test we’re trying to arrange for Tommy would clear him.”
Rather than take an official police polygraph, he said his client would submit to one he was trying to arrange with a “more neutral” tester, perhaps a former FBI veteran. He said he was shooting for a sitdown in the next two weeks, and that he and private investigator, Steve Brown, had huddled with his client in a “come to Jesus meeting,” telling Croslin they would know if he were telling the truth.
At the same time, bounty hunter Leonard Padilla tells me Tommy is also willing to take a polygraph he suggested Misty’s brother do on the Dr. Phil Show. But Werter rejected the idea after he says Padilla asked for “proprietary” rights to the test results.
According to Chelsea Croslin, Misty describes how her brother, Tommy, also behind bars on drug charges, and a cousin, Joe (Overstreet), dropped by the trailer to steal a gun we’ve since learned was a prized assault rifle that Ronald Cummings had been bragging about – and even showed off — over beers at his trailer with Joe and Tommy.
According to her letter, Chelsea said Misty wrote that when Tommy and Joe arrived, “Misty told them she didn’t know Ronald had apparently taken the gun from his usual hiding place. So when they got there, and couldn’t find the gun, Tommy said, ‘I’m going home,’ and left, and then Joe got mad, grabbed Haleigh and took off.”
To further confuse things, Tommy claimed – during a previous stint in jail – that he dropped by the trailer about 10 p.m. Feb. 9, 2009, after Ronald asked him to check on Misty who was not taking calls, banged on the door, peered in, got no answer and concluded no one was home. Misty says she was dead asleep, after days of hard partying first reported here at The Bald Truth.
After she read her letter, Chelsea told me she phoned Florida Department of Law Enforcement agent Jason Jolicouer, a top investigator on the case, to alert him, but he said knew about it and “blew it off as nothing,” she said, figuring he’d already read it. In fact, he had, since regulations allow police to monitor incoming and out going inmate mail; sources tell me detectives clock every letter Misty writes, or receives.
In an exclusive interview, Croslin attorney Robert Fields acknowledged agents had alerted him about the letters’ contents, as well, including not so flattering remarks his client had made about him. When he learned of the polygraph test results, he tells me, he was “very disappointed,” as were investigators who were rooting for at least some truthful replies.
Sources tell me Croslin was upbeat about taking the test, perhaps figuring it would serve to exonerate her in the Haleigh matter if she told the truth.
Fields also told me he’d heard her claims from the letters that she’d fingered brother Tommy and cousin Joe Overstreet of Antioch, Tennessee, who had been visiting Satsuma when Haleigh disappeared.
Overstreet has denied any involvement, or knowledge of what happened to Haleigh, and sources familiar with two interviews he gave investigators tell me he had made prior plans to leave town on Feb. 10– days before Haleigh vanished.
“I’ve asked him over and over, and he tells me, ‘No, he didn’t do it,’” his grandmother, Flora Hollers, told me this week.
She says she has her doubts, loves them all, but doesn’t know which of her three grandchildren to believe. “I wish they could put Joe in with Misty and Tommy so (police) could get them all to sweat and maybe someone would tell us what happened,” Hollers said. “I’m just sick about that little girl.”
Repeated calls to Lt. Johnny Greenwood, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, requesting comment about quietly orchestrated lie detector test were not returned by deadline. Another source tells me it’s considered too sensitive for police to confirm or deny.
However, sources close to the case tell me detectives have copies of Misty’s letters, and are comparing her written accounts with conflicting stories she’s told over the last year—and that Croslin – and police – agreed a polygraph could rebuild her credibility and lead to her exoneration if she passed.
So, at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 26, it was the moment of truth. Investigators had arrived earlier, with a veteran private examiner Patty Knight, who also works for the Jacksonville’s Sheriff’s Office (JSO), setting up her machine in the jail’s admin building. Then word went out to Croslin’s cell block and she was slipped out a side door, and escorted, in shackles, to the test area just a few minutes walk away.
She was upbeat, sources tell me, and investigators gave her a cigarette to relax. Then it was time. As is customary with polygraphs, the examiner went over the ground she wanted to cover, who was at the trailer when, and what Misty saw. Then it began, lasting over two hours.
It was the first official police polygraph Croslin has taken since she began relating the latest account of Haleigh’s possible kidnapping –and detectives were cautiously optimistic they would be able to learn something that was truthful, then use the lie test results as one way to corroborate it.
Had she scored truthful on any part of the story, sources tell me, it could have advanced the investigation, but her poor performance briefly crushed the optimism of hard-working investigators like Putnam County Sheriff Detective Peggy Cone and top FDLE agent, Jason Jolicoeur, who waited in a nearby room at the St. John’s County Jail. (Neither returned calls for comment.)
Then, the polygraph examiner who works a day job in community policing with the JSO finished her testing—and delivered the news. Not only had Misty Croslin flunked, she’d flunked “miserably,” sources tell me she announced. Those are the same words Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller used to describe her performance on a private polygraph he financed last year that she took voluntarily, along with layered voice analysis. She also submitted to hypnosis, but that was a bust, too, said Miller. “On a scale of 10, the hynotist said she ranked maybe a 2,” for her ability to relax and submit to the process. Experts say there are some people who just can’t be hypnotized and it’s unclear whether drugs or learning disabilities could have played a role.
Asked about the Jacksonville Sheriff’s department role in possibly helping with the case by loaning out. Lt Knight, Lori Smith, JSO media liason, denied any member of her department had been loaned to Putnam County to polygraph Croslin. But she did concede Knight could have done it as a private consultant off duty. That Knight did not return repeated calls further suggests the secretive nature of the test, and law enforcement concern how the results might affect the investigation.
After Haleigh turned up missing, Misty Croslin told me in an exclusive interview she had taken a police polygraph and claimed to have passed, but police say that one was inconclusive—and there were no Tommy and Joe stories to vet at the time.
The letters and their accusations about Tommy have twisted up the dysfunctional Croslin family even more. No Croslin wants to believe Tommy had anything to do with the missing child, but concede they will have a hard time reconciling who’s telling the truth until he takes a polygraph they can believe in.
Ironically, his credibility has been shored up by default after police gave Misty an F, and it’s doubtful cousin Joe would volunteer to take one. Why should he? He may be the family’s favorite suspect, but with no evidence to charge him, he remains free as a bird.
“Maybe Misty is one of these people who just can’t pass a lie detector because she’s lied all of her life,” sighed a source close to the case, “but maybe she is telling the truth, about something…The sad thing would be, ‘What if she’s telling the truth,’ but can’t pass a polygraph?”

Fascinating article Art. I look forward to Tommy taking one now. If he takes one and passes questions about that night, the walls would be closing in even more on Misty. If she passed the question(saying no) about if she knows what happened to HC i would be open minded to considering a local SO since HC has never been found but Misty keeps indicating she knows what happened. Might be time to ask A Sykes to take a poly, she’s the only one who says she saw Haleigh that evening while RC was at work. Starting to think(for the first time) RC knows more, he should have called 911 that night, not Misty. IMO.

I think Grandma needs to take a Poly, They need to ask her if she really seen Haleigh alive that night after Ronald went to work.She may have brought clothes for her, but was she alive at that time?

Just saying, saying Misty flunked miserably will only add to the already smug egos some of the players already have, because most of us knew already Misty and truthfulness are like oil and water

IF….Overstreet & Tommy took Haliegh, WHY? WHEN? & HOW?
IF…. they took her, did they take her in Misty’s blanket? which she said was still in the Van?
IF….they took her, and Misty knew it, then what did she do? Roll over & sleep until nature called just about the time Ron was due home? Did she call Ron? Should he know at the time????? Did she? Did he??
IF…..they came to see Ron’s gun, but he took it, where was it and why would Haliegh be the alternative? Thats just wierd!

The Van was said to be “moved” during the night. Returned scratched. Hmmm, but why was Misty’s blanket in there? and where is that blanket now? Has it been recovered and tested?
Are the guys going to let Misty “dump” on them? Can’t hardly say otherwise without implicated themselves. Does Ron know? Or did Misty know how he’d take it and blame her for “letting his daughter get STOLE”.
Something stinks about this whole situation. The truth is as lost as Haliegh! Will we ever know the truth?

There is nothing you can believe out of a single one of them, they are all nothing but trailor trash. It’s part of their upbringing, it’s in their blood. I can see why LE would try and coroborate prior statements, but if that means speaking with any members of the Croslin family-it’s all for naught. Nothing but a clan of drug-infested lying, cheating, self-serving, educationless white trash. Lisa Croslin is supposedly 40 years old, and with her gummy/toothless meth-cracked face looks more like 70.
Sorry to be so harsh, it’s just the reality of the sitation. Makes it all so clear now how Haleigh NEVER had a chance, she was destined (very sadly) for a horrific outcome given the drug-infested clan of animals that were her caretakers.

I would like to know if Rons mother or granmother has ever took a LDT and if so did they pass, also I would like to know what time Ron really got to work and if he had a chance to leave at anytime. IMO Ron, Misty, and Rons mother and grandma know what happened. I think something bad happened to Haileigh and Ron disposed of her body that is why Misty says she does not know where Haileigh is , because Ron has not told her where he put her body.

Thank you Art, for updating the Haleigh case, and in such detail. It answers some questions that we have wondered about for so long. I know you must leave certain things unsaid, but how I wish I knew what you might know~
If Joe Overstreet DID take Haleigh away, why didn’t Misty call Ronald right away at work and tell him? (Or did she? Have you heard otherwise?) Or call the police? That statement lends some credence to her utterance of “Why didn’t they take me? I could have fought.” I understand that if she was alone with Joe, she could have been overpowered very easily. Did she and some family members spend all that time looking for Haleigh, before Ron got home? If Joe did take her, did he hand her off to someone else? That seems unlikely. Most likely her body is close to home, like Cayley Anthony’s body was, unless the alligators got to her first. (I’m sorry to bring that up; I sure hope it’s not true.)
Grandma Flora seems to suspect one of them (Tommy, Joe, Misty) more than the others. I like her idea of putting the three grandchildren in the same room and making them sweat.
If this is the truth, (even though she failed her LDT) it seems like she would have told Ronald about this right away (“Why did you let them take her, B?” That comment makes so much sense now.) unless her supposed complicity in the gun taking scheme had her feeling guilty. But it seems like Ronald knew something all along, doesn’t it?
On the other hand, she has mentioned the maternal side of the family as suspects, but she may have been trying to throw detectives off of her trail.
Did Joe contact Tommy or Timmy after he took Haleigh? (Are there corroborating phone records?)Is it possible that Joe took the van while Haleigh was alive, then drove to a mucky lake, did whatever he did, then disposed of her? If the van came up clean, that is one way it could have happened. (Of course the van might have yielded clues, too, that we are not privy to.)
It always seemed as though Ron and Misty weren’t too worried about the supposed kidnapper, because they slept in a tent right across from their home. If they were worried about an unknown predator, wouldn’t everyone’s safety, especially Junior’s, be paramount? How could they sleep outdoors in the pitch black near the crime scene? It wouldn’t have been the wisest or most logical thing to do.
Was Junior present during Joe’s alleged actions? Has he been questioned as to that scenario?
Something still doesn’t add up, though.

In order for me to hold any confidence in this test this test needs to be carried out by a neutral party completely in no way affiliated with any law enforcement agency in or near Putnam County. The tester needs to sign a confidentiality agreement eliminating any other agendas. A bias tester can completely taint a test. Why is this officer releasing results? What does that speak to in terms of professionalism? This Jason needs to be no where near the test he is bias going in and should not be predisposed to the tester. I like thousands maybe millions heard his statements to Ron about the Judge that has already decided to give the full 114 years to Misty. I like anyone wants to know what happened to this child but I do not want it at the expense of another life. I do not want to find out ten years down the road I played a part in taking a life, locking it up or flat out ending it are the same same. Rid the arena of bias persons, rid the tester of bias exposure by bias persons. Fight for the truth stop setting the ground up for getting the wanted answer vs getting the truth. I’m fed up with these officers taking the easy way out. If Haleigh Cummings is alive she in the end will be the one with more courage than all of these officers together. Can you imagine if she just looked for a yellow brick road leading her like these officers have, she would never be free. Fight for the answer, step out side of the norm, circumstances they can bias, and then I will be convinced they are trying. Until then for me its all smoke and mirrors. I don’t like Jason you lost my confidence in saying he was any where near the area at the time, and I’m not alone in my thoughts and feelings regarding him!!!

I think LE knows Misty diidnt harm Haliegh.Like i said this could be stratigy to get to a bigger fish.I bet LE has a real suspect in mind,thats why they want Misty to verify what she may know.This long they would have charged her in Halieghs didipearence.But shes yet to be charged.God i pray this girl doesnt go down,for what she didnt do,just to satisfy public,an higher ups who just want the case to be over.Im Praying for Haliegh to be found,Im praying for Misty,Ron,Crystal an all the families.This is so heart breaking!!!

and if he has then his charges are just the drug dealing charges..which he will probably walk on..they have never held him accountable for anything he has done…
poor little haleigh was really at the mercy of this bunch of morons and i hope that little junior is safe with his mother and grandmother because god knows that little boy saw something and god knows what it was…just a man in black came in and took her, but there is probably more hidden that he hasn’t been able to articulate poor little mite..

For the moment Misty is the center of attention. She seems to think that all she has to do is prove she had nothing to do with the disappearance of Haleigh. And like magic the doors to her cell will open and she will be free.
How wrong she is. She still faces the drug charges and I believe she will face a harsh reality when she turns 21 behind bars.
Once again, Misty is in the limelight where she is happiest, and the focus in on her and not on Haleigh.
Art, thank you, for your tireless dedication in the search for Haleigh. I think this has been the main focus from the moment you began reporting this story.

I can’t wait until this mystery is solved. I feel so sad for Haleigh and the short life she had surrounded by selfish and ignorant people. So, basically Misty tried to make up a story about her brother and her cousin coming over to steal a gun from Ronald…but, when they got there the gun was missing, so they kidnapped Haleigh (but, does the story have an ending?)…but, since she “flunked miserably” then she technically made up the whole story. And, the story she told was different from the story she gave for her first polygraph test. So, in conclusion she has yet to tell the truth. So, what we really need to happen is for Tommy to take a polygraph test. B/C if he passes then we can pretty much believe that he didn’t have anything to do with her disappearence. But, if he fails then we will know that he is guilty just like his sister. I like the grandma’s idea…lets just put all three of them in a room together and see what happens. The icky feeling I get though, is that from day 1 this cousin has kept coming up in the scenario of that night. I do still believe that Misty was in fact maybe mad at Ronald still and wanted to get him back somehow for being “mean” to her. You add that and her coming down from a 3-day drug binge and you don’t know what people are capable of. I just really hope they find her or her body, so the people that matter can finally get some closure…and the people who are responsible finally get what they deserve.

Art, You get an A for this excellent article!! Art do you think it is possible that with the series of Questions that were asked of Misty that she may have already exonerated Tommy and Joe Overstreet? I think that LE would definitely address these two since that is who she is blaming while questioning her.
I think Misty would of ratted these guys out long ago to LE and Ronald had they been the actual ones that took Haleigh. If there was a brother that she trusted it would be Timmy if she were in a bind. I am not saying he is involved; just suspicious. Someone helped Misty with all of the staging. She did not do this all by herself.
Misty knows what happened! I hope Tommy gets his poly and if he passes then the heat will really be on Misty.
I still believe Ron has knowledge of what happened to Haleigh and Misty will continue to cover up the truth. I also agree with the other posters above that it is time to poly Annette Sykes and the aunt Lisa that came by that night. Furthermore, they need to poly Teresa Neves as well.
If it were the maternal side that took Haleigh, Misty would have squealed along time ago. Good point from post above that it should of been Ronald that called 911, not the 17 year old girl that barely knew her. Misty had just met Haleigh 3 1/2 months before she disappeared.

Very interesting article – thanks! It will be even more interesting to hear about the results of a Tommy polygraph, should he follow through and take one. His lawyer seems to have quite a bit of faith in him.
If Tommy passes and Misty fails, then this would take the focus off him and make Misty look even more guilty. But, if he also fails, then what?

ART: wth? Refer to your article 3 wks ago re:Padilla’s claims on NG that Chelsea had told him (Padilla)that she had been told by Misty that Cousin Joe was involved.
In the article you stated that you phoned Chelsea and spoke to her regarding L.Padilla’s claims. According to you, Chelsea denied telling Padilla any such information. She stated she had heard it through a 2nd or 3d party; Chelsea then stated that she contacted an “agent on loan” for FDLE, who then (to quote Chelsea), “blew it off like it was nothing.” The agent has since then been identified as Jason Jolicouer, the LEAD AGENT and also a confidant to Ron.
So, according to the time frame, it appears that it would have been at the same time the “mystery letter” was sent to Chelsea…FIRSTHAND,RIGHT? So how much of a coincidence is it that L.Padilla has that same information at that same time??
Where else would he have gotten that info from?
Why would he implicate Chelsea in his statement, if it wasn’t true? For that matter, he could have said it was any family member.
Next time you call Chelsea and Timmy, PLEASE ASK THEM WHY HALEIGH WAS SPOTTED IN THE ABINGTON, MASS. WALMART RIGHT AFTER THEY RELOCATED THERE.
This is outrageous!!! All the Haleigh sightings HAVE COINCIDED with her various family members AND the states they move,relocate,visit,transfer, and FLEE TO.
They are ALL in on it. Why do you depict Chelsea and Timmy to be so innocent and good? Don’t you wonder about the timing of that sighting? And of Cousin Joe? And of Johnny Sheffield? Every state they are in, right after it, there is A HALEIGH SIGHTING.

You are trying to connect the dots and have narrowed the source of Padilla’s info re Joe story…it’s hardly the first time he’s been debated…Joe has been the Croslin family favorite since last March when they showed me where they claim they found Ronald’s handgun he was accused of stealing (he denied it). That’s a different gun than the one Misty is now claiming in the letter he showed up at the trailer –and took Haleigh instead — when he couldn’t find it. Joe denies this, and Tommy denies he was there, as Misty claims. As I report, he says he’s willing to take a poly on that and his lawyer tells me that may happen in the next two weeks.
As far as your chip against Chelsea and Timmy, no evidence they were involved, or they’d be in the same pickle as Tommy and Misty, and as for the sitings, my law enforcement sources say they were ruled out long ago…Now if you have hard evidence, we have a number for you to call, and hopefully you canl back it up with time, place, photos or solid witnesses whose stories don’t crumble and turn out to be flakes passing rumors that one mentally unstable blogger has sent LE, wasting time and taxpayer money, and dashing yet another hope of finding Haleigh…Until then, you will have to look for somewhere else to park your free-floating anger about whatever it is that angers you.
Everyone is frustrated, especially LE, but you won’t get anywhere slamming those LE has ruled out.
Why doesn’t it get discussed? Because it’s NOT NEWS. There’s nothing NEW revealed, only old recycled rumors we see on so many fringe websites people cling to. But wanting to believe someone has to be a suspect because you disapprove of their lifestyle or have some other beef, well, doesn’t help move the ball forward.
It all leads back to Misty, say police, and that’s why our Misty flunking a new secret police LDT IS news. High hopes, dashed again. It’s happened before with others investigators were lead to believe had the key to finding Haleigh, or others who claimed sources in the streets who knew where Haleigh was…or knew drug dealers or users who could find her.
For instance convicted drug dealer Jerome Williams, told me he could work his contacts in the Satsuma underbelly to find the little girl and called me back to say he’d be willing to talk to the cops, maybe cut a deal on the drug charges he was facing–only he turned out to be another dead end–and now sits in the Putnam County jail near Ronald Cummings, also facing hard time for alleged drug dealing. (The same Jerome Snakeman says he taped without his knowledge during a relatively cordial encounter at a Palatka motel that he hyped as a virtual War Zone moment, a frightening, near deadly run in with a local gangster that wasn’t. )
It turned out to be nothing, another lead gone bust, perhaps interesting for those hooked on Satsuma’s inside baseball of questionable characters, but not news.–Art

Question: Why have prosecutors not charged Misty with murder? I realize there is no body, but in the case of casey anthony there was no body but charges were filed…so why haven’t the authorities simply charged Misty as they did with casey?

Terrific insight; that motivation makes as much sense as any; remember you read here first that Ronald squeezed her into a ball to make her abort a child he thought she was carrying by someone else, according to what her friend Nay Nay Prevatt told us on videotape, then kicked her out. That prompted Misty’s call to Nay Nay, and fueled her revenge drugs and sex romance with Greg Page of Palatka, a three day rock and roll weekend that lead to tragedy. Art

Who would actually believe that Misty would write any truth in this jail letter. She is smart enough to know that those letters are read by jail officials before they leave. If she said anything, it was to lead LE away from her and ronald. They will both be found guilty; IMO. Yes, please give all members a poly. It would be interesting to find out how AS and TN do on them. I believe they both know more; and are trying to protect “poor ron”. Thank God they found out who killed Somer Thompson; now we need a miracle for Haleigh. Justice is needed for Haleigh.
Some of these posters who support ron are in my opinion; ignorant. You know if it was your child, you would be out looking every minute of every day; not making drug deals.

Wasn’t tommy and his kids there earlier in the day playing with RC’s kids? If so, a poly should have been administered a long time ago due the fact was she really there then playing with his kids? What if (and thats all we can say right now) RC,TC,MC was all involved and believe me trash will stick together and maybe RC was tired fed up and MC was partying and he hurt her himself then when MC got there HC could have been hurt badly but everybody is covering for him which would explain my theory for him saying i will kill whoever that is a direct threat to TC and MC and they arent telling because once again trash sticks together and that would also explain the reason for a quick wedding i don’t know i just wishe the little girl to come home dead or alive to give the family that loves her to have some peace within. Is misty smart enough to realize that she could get more time for the trafficking charges that she now faces in Putnam County verses the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings? As far as I am concerned, she is trying to save her own sinking ship. She doesn’t have a fisherman’s chance in hell of seeing the outside of a jail cell. I appreciate you and Nancy Grace for keeping this case alive and in the forefront of the news. We need more advocates and investigative journalists who care about the well being of these little children.
I used to live in Putnam County, Floria and they certainly have their fair share of dysfunctional families. Do you think that Tommy and the cousin could hold vital pieces of information to the Haleigh case? Keep up the awesome work.

I just don’t know what to make of this. The first poly was inconclusive right? So, maybe they should go back and re ask those questions. I am pretty sure they ask control questions like name address and those type things. If those questions didn’t show deception then the it would follow that the questions she failed were lies. To bad they can’t use truth serum-although I have my doubts that anything could help this girl tell the truth. I think Ron needs to take another poly too. It is very possible that something could have happened to Haleigh before Ron went to work plus I think he is the only person Misty would lie for.
Poor Haleigh this kid never stood a chance.

She stated “Ma, I still love Ronald”..She will protect him to the end…She, and Ronald alone know what happened to Haleigh.. IMO

I think most folks would disagree; if you wanted a controlled press, you can find one in China. I told LE what I was going to report, asked for official comment, gave them a day to respond, even asked for guidance if what I’d discovered might hurt the investigation. I got silence, and took it as a green light that they had more respect for the process than you do–and our extra efforts to get it right — and more were not going to try to pressure us to sit on a story they had not “released.”
Would you prefer we sit here and twiddle and wait for press releases to report? It’s not even a close call; our readers and the public’s right to know the course of an unsolved missing child case crying out for a break, far outweighs your willingness to sit on a newsworthy story, even if it’s bad news for the investigation. This case is getting more and more frustrating. Okay, so she failed the lie detector test when trying to blame Tommy and Joe. Did they specifically ask her “did you hurt Haleigh, did you kill Haleigh, did Ron kill Haleigh?” etc. The only questions I have seen released to the public through Tim Miller’s group is stuff like are you withholding information and other basically vague stuff. Of course she is withholding information. And now flunking on questions about her brother and cousin. I would like to see answers to specific questions like did you kill Haleigh or better yet did Ron kill Haleigh.

Here’s a scenario,probably far fetched i admit. What if Misty told “the other guy” she was prego by him but RC caused her to miscarry his child? MO-revenge. You take my child, i’m taking one of yours. If you take away Tommy and Joe you have to widen the circle a bit. RC did say something in the early days following Haleigh’s disappearance. He said something like “i’m sorry if you lost a child or whatever but bring back mine, she’s a child, she’s not a thing”. Anyone recall him saying that on the news in a plea to get Haleigh back? Probably sounds off base but after a year and no results, at this point anything’s possible. Misty may have put it together but is lacking in specific details.Her initial lie about being pregnant could have triggered this whole thing. Like i said, far fetched but possible? If not, please feel free to say so.

Not only does the public have a right to know what is going on in Haleigh’s case but I really and truly believe that LE wants this kind of thing made public. It will only pressure Misty more once again seeing her lies plastered all over Nancy Grace, Art Harris and the internet. I know she is in jail, but she has access to television and I’m quite sure her family keeps her up to speed on daily happenings regarding Haleigh’s case.
I, for one, appreciate knowing this information. I am not surprised in the least that Misty failed yet another polygraph and I certainly believe it will move the case forward, even if just a bit.

Thank you so much for keeping Haleigh’s story in the news. I know we will one day know what happened to this precious lil girl. But until then, I say they need to put Misty in general population and tell her when she tells the truth, with the crime scene and other evidence to back it; she can have her own cell again. Her and Casey make me sick. They are in their own cells like they are celebrities. let the girls in there school them!! Take away their ho ho’s and chips and make them get a jailhouse job. By the way, they should take their commisary money and put it toward their defense; taxpayers are having to pay for both of these cases!!It is beyond me, that these two girls have people sending them money. There are so many decent families that could use the money they are buying all their goodies with. This case frustrates me so much, because I live near where all this started and I have kids.
Could a sexual predator have taken Haleigh? It’s possible. We do have alot of sp around the county; Somer Thompson was taken in Orange Park, and that is a little over an hours drive from where Haleigh disappeared. But I keep going through this case, and it is more likely that Misty and Ronald are involved. Watch their interviews from the begining(today show & Greta VanSustren)very telling.

Art, do you have access to data regarding lie detector test or hypnosis performed on children. I think it is obvious that Misty is immature and more than likely has a learning disability. Would the mentality of a 12 or 14 year old affect the results of any of the tests that she has taken?

I’ve always thought that the cousin had something to hide when he left town immediately following hearing that the cops were going to the trailer. Why would he do that unless he had something to hide? Wouldn’t he be interested in finding out what had happened to little Haleigh like all the others? If not… why not? Because he already knew!
We all know that the entire previous weekend, Misty was out partying… drugging and drinking with some guy. She comes back on Monday, talks to Ronald and they decide to try to work it out. She doesn’t want to “babysit” for the kids she tells Ronald’s mother. Maybe she has somewhere else to be that night. She’s going to meet up with that guy and tell him that she and Ronald are going to try to work things out. Well, Cousin Joe’s there. He can babysit while she goes to talk to the guy.
When she gets back, Haleigh’s gone. Her brother has been there, pounding on the door and arousing no one. Why not? Because Joe’s got the kids (at least Haleigh) outside somewhere, trying to find a spot to put her body… why not that trash dumpster? That’s a quick place to put her for the time being, until he heads for home and puts her into the back of his truck.
Somewhere along the way home, he dumps her off. Who knows where.
The cops find him on his way home and there’s no body with him and they forget all about him. The dogs did hit on the dumpster, but they didn’t put the cadaver dogs around Joe’s truck. I’ll bet if they did, they would have “alerted”.
I wonder if it’s too late now to try that.
Anyway, when Misty comes back to the trailer, it’s almost time for Ronald to get home. She doesn’t know what to say to him… she cannot tell him she’s been with that other guy, so the only safe thing to say is that she was asleep.
That’s my guess.

I personally think that all of them should be given lie detector tests…Misty just had hers, give Tommy his, and just for the sake of getting this all figured out, give one to Ron also(Still think there is a hole in his alibi to still be discovered). I think LE should try to find a way to make “Cousin Joe” take one also…since his name is coming out so much, if he would want to be completely cleared of this(IF he had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance)he should me more then willing to take one, or even demending one himself. By not wanting to take one, would/could raise more suspicion on him !

Art: I cannot believe anything that anyone in this family is saying. Seems to me that the entire family has issues n their upbringing speaks for itsself. Here you have a father n mother who are in trouble with the law, so the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I am just truly heartbroken for the child that is missing n the lil guy who is missing his sister. I hope the truth comes out cause i m so tired of seeing Misty gloat in front of the monitors when family is visiting. Does she not realize that she isn’t cute just sickening. I m sorry to say if this was my child i could not love someone i thought even had a remote possibility of hurting them. The love for my child would outweigh everthing else. In answer to your question to DENVIP, I do not beleive the public should have the right to know everything that is going on with in a police investigation and I applaud PCSO keeping their inner workings private.
That being said, I think investigative journalists serve a much needed service by delving in to areas the average citizen does not have access to and sharing their information with the public.
Please continue to follow HaLeigh’s case and keep her name out there until she finally receives the justice she deserves.

Question, how many more polygraphs is it going to take before LE can charge Misty with Obstruction of Justice, Child Endangerment, etc.,? At least until LE can recover Haleigh(????)!
I would like to see what the outcome of a polygraph would be if Misty said she was lying, but would answer the truth? For example, when asked if she knows who took Haleigh-Misty would answer with yes. Or, did Ronald have any involvement with Haleigh missing-Misty would answer yes. IMO, Misty would likey pass the polygraph. Just a thought. Yes, LE should administer the same test to Tommy, Ronald, and the Croslin and Cummings clan that were in the area when Haleigh went missing.

I need to see the letter in its entirety before I conclude anything. I have seen other letters portrayed in a way that that was completely false “Nay Nay” I truly hope that Tommy Croslin does carry out a test. I hope even more that the objective of the tester is the truth. For me it will hold weight if specific questions are asked in regards to that night and his alleged visit to the home. I personally would prefer his lawyer has access to view and hear the entire test as it is happening. I want to be assured that the test was not carried out in a way that could possibly be bias, even towards Tommy Croslin. I need to feel assured that should anything happen during the test that is out of norm procedure or behaviour that his lawyer has the power to shut the test down. For me that would eliminate slamming of it after reading the results should the results not favor Tommy Croslin’s answers.I also want to feel assured that the questions LE want answered are asked. Should it come out he did not go the home that night LE is in a bit of a pickle. It was the manner in which LE set up the circumstances surrounding his incarceration and bond. I don’t think LE would prefer for those details and copies of interviews being available to the public. LE could possibly be facing the fact he may have lied about going to Ronald’s home that night and merely said so as a result of a high bond and LE pressure. With those circumstances on the table I don’t think LE would stand a chance in hell of getting a conviction on any type of Obstruction charges. I don’t care who it is. I just want who it is brought to Justice. I just want the truth.

AS I POSTED ON YOUR March12(key to cracking case) post 81 and 82. This all makes since if you think about it..Tommy and cousin were accessories after the fact and now she is trying to pin the whole thing on them. I think Tommy and cousin are still not telling the whole truth because they know what an effective liar Misty can be and they know evidence will be pointing at them after all, how could Misty have moved the body after Ronald got home and police were interviewing her? They are the ones with criminal records. They better get together and start telling the whole truth or they are going to take the fall together.. No way in hell would she have kept this info to herself brother, cousin whoever..noway would she have let them take that child unless she was involved!! Everybody knows Misty mixes truth in with lies I believe my theory is where the truth comes in

What if they conducted a lie detector test on Misty and asked only questions they knew were correct. That way, the courts could see how her system responds when she’s responding to neutral questions they already have answers on (e.g., date of birth, mother’s name, cigaret brand smoked, color of her car, etc.). This issue of telling the truth and not passing a test is a bit much to believe. I still hold to my belief that Haleigh was payment for a missed drug payment.

Would Misty REALLY falsely accuse Joe and her brother, Tommy, if it wasn’t the truth, just to save Ronald? Joe, maybe, but her BROTHER? Blood runs thicker than water most of the time. Did Misty ever say what the fight was about between Ronald and Joe? (The one that Ron claims never happened.) Could Tommy pass a poly? Is he on meds that might make lying undetectable?
Maybe Misty snapped when Haleigh wet the bed. (Abusive parents, have been known to harm, even KILL their children after bedwetting.)But how would Misty have killed her? Choking, shooting, stabbing? Purposefully overdosing her? None of that makes sense. Perhaps LE has already found signs of Haleigh’s death from that mysterious blanket. I doubt Misty disposed of Haleigh herself, if she died in the home. Somebody knows alot more than they’re saying!
Was Joe wearing dark clothes when he went over there? (ie; could he have been the man in black? That would jive with Junior’s comment.)
Off the subject, Art, you looked fantastic on NG last night. Very sharp, indeed. I noticed she made sure she behaved civilly, even to her other guests. It made watching her show a real pleasure, not a chore.
Also, I just want to tease and ask you if you’ve managed to keep your garage neat and orderly? I remember watching you on one of HGTV’s Organization shows!

“Please answer” asks you why you continue to say Ronald has been cleared when LE has never said that. “Please Answer” goes on to say, LE has said he is not a suspect. That’s not exactly what LE said. They said Ronald is on the bottom of their suspect list. Unless Ronald was chained to his work position that night, he had every opportunity to leave and be involved in Haleigh’s disappearance. If he made 90 phone calls that night, it’s pretty obvious he wasn’t closely supervised. Maybe LE needs to move him up on that suspect list, and this investigation might make some progress!

Please answer#47, LE said on Aug 17th 2009 that Ronald and Crystal were not suspects in Haleighs disappearance. This released statement by LE usually means they are cleared of any wrong doings pertaining to the case at hand. I think LE was still watching Ronald, but wanted him to relax and see what he would do thinking he was cleared, the same could be said for Crystal as well.
Since this case began LE has followed every avenue,but in the end they were always led back to Misty. Misty has the answers! They just need to find a way to get her to tell the truth.
As far as Ron taking his ONLY poly. He says he passed it. On NG Friday night it showed that NO RESULTS from FBI or Putnam County have been released. According to most experts you are not told if you passed or failed. REMEMBER!! Ron said he and Misty both passed there polys on the Today Show. He said John Merchant told him that.

If Misty was truly angry at Ron, making a deal with the maternal side of the family would be the highest form of revenge. However, once the relationship with Ron was patched up, the deal with the “other side” would be the last thing in the world Misty would want to admit. She would blame anyone and everyone else.
Not saying this is really what happened, but it’s an intriguing scenario.

I agree. If you have trustworthy info, and you called LE with your info, and told them what you would be reporting, yet received no response, it’s a green light to proceed..Had they not wanted the info out, they would have been in touch with you immediately, or very soon after..NG’s “bombshell and breaking news” reports are usually old news. I appreciate your being on top of the Haleigh case, and I do believe you are accurate in your reporting.. If we waited for LE to report, we would become discouraged, and it would possibly become a cold case..This case isn’t only about Haleigh. It’s about all the young children who are missing, and never found..We care about the innocent, helpless children who are our future, AND we are adamant that those who are guilty of horrendous crimes against children be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. IMO

I think people need to lay off of misty and ronald…they are not the guilty parties here…I have a few questions Art, and some insight…First of all..whomever took Haleigh, why did they take parts of her medication? If they intended to kill her, they wouldn’t need that..The fact that they took medication, to me, would mean that they intended to keep her alive…Second, I listened to Misty under hypnosis..she stated that Jr. got up and went out into the living room..If it is a fact that Misty fell to sleep while Jr. was still up, could he have let someone in? Could he have turned the kitchen light on? I have a 3 year old that can reach light switches..The third thing that I wanted to add was…When this first happened, I recall that there was a physc that I believe stated that a black man has Haleigh, and that he is in a red truck, headed somewhere, I just can’t remember where that was, and that Haleigh knew the man, along with the rest of the family..Sort of goes along with the fact that Tommy sold a red truck to a black man? And as far as what’s going on with the rest of this crew..It has taken Tommy over a year to take a lie detector test! And only under his lawyers conditions? An independent lie test, with lawyer at hand! Give me a break..He is so willing to take one now! Misty took tests and answered any questions she was asked, from the get-go! Not independent tests..Not with lawyers present! And Ronald took them…Why weren’t Tommy, Joe and Crystal forced to take the tests when this happened? Another problem that I am having with this case is this van..I would think that a van that has been moved, that has long, deep scratches on the side and that has brush or branches hanging out of a headlight would be a van that would raise a lot of questions towards Joe..but it’s never discussed…If these things were being discussed as much as Misty has been discussed, we might have a lot more answers by now…I have listened to as much as I can from Misty…I don’t see where her story changes..From what I have heard, it’s been..Haleigh layed down at 8pm..Misty went to bed at 10pm..woke up around 3am..seen the light on in the kitchen…went out, seen the door open…went back to the bedroom to get the phone..discovered Haleigh was gone and started freaking out..The only other story that I have heard is now, a year later, that she is saying that it was Tommy and Joe…Did not NG clan state that it would take Misty a certain amount of time to come down off the drugs and then her mind might start clearing up? Is it possible that she is now starting to see things more clearly? I just don’t think that she is as bad as she is being made out to be…I have a lot of thoughts as to what I think may have happened, but none of my thoughts point towards Misty, and surely not Ronald…So, what do you think Art? About the physc? The van? Jr. in the living room?

ART: I wish I did have a credible sighting myself that I could report.
I am not bashing Timmy and Chelsea. As I keep saying, I find it hard to believe that there was no connection b/w them moving to Abington,Mass and shortly thereafter, a Haleigh sighting. I only hope LE stated they ruled it out, (and I did read their official statement they had released after the incident, 9-09) because they are wanting to keep it under wraps. I hope the sighting of Haleigh w/a man described like Joe Overstreet w/a red suv/truck was r/o for the same reason. There all too coincidental. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, then it’s a duck.
Just because LE makes their “official statements” doesn’t mean it’s the truth. I pray that it’s for the good of the case, and not for corrupt reasons. I say this because there are too many episodes of evidence being exposed, and then all of a sudden, it’s gone.
Johnny Sheffield, an ex pcso cop, turned criminal, and with the extra fringe benefit of connections to organized crime.
Fake searches, coincidental timings of moves and fleeing, Johnny going to Kentucky because it’s a no bond state.
Tommy not blabbing about going to the trailer to check up on things until he’s in jail and probed for info.
Misty Croslin being spoken about like shes Al Pacino in Scarface!!!!!!! Yes, it’s drug trafficking, but the PCSO acted like they busted a main dealer from Miami!!
As for providing hard proof, photos, witnesses, times, and photos, I was under the assumption that that is what the walmart surveillance cameras would provide. Why have we seen other surveillance tapes televised on the media in other missing children and people cases: even before they are ruled out as the person of interest? WE NEVER SAW THAT WALMART TAPE, OR THE ONE IN THE GOODWILL STORE, OR THE GAS STATION(THOSE WERE IN KY OR GA I FORGET) If you really think about it, don’t you recall seeing so many surveillance tapes throughout the years of what might be a “possible” sighting of someone? Okay, so where are the Haleigh “possible” tapes? I can only hope it’s for a good reason, but my gut tells me, like so many others believe, that it’s secretively corrupt. I am asking you for your opinion as a respected journalist. What would the reason be?
For the record, I did not make any statements regarding me dissaproving of anybody’s lifestyle….I would never, nor do I, judge anybody until I walk in their shoes. IRONICALLY, though, I feel that is a main fault of this case; there are too many rumors, gossip, and assumptions that have been unfairly and ignorantly directed towards the families in this case, because they are not rich, they do drugs, they don’t have “educations or degrees”…
How many times have we heard that Ronald is a bad father because he had a drug history? If anyone bothered to look up public records, which Ronald publicly stated on TV to do, then they would see his record became clean the year his daughter was born. You stated he was seen running around town stealing money from collection jars, and also that he cut trees for extra money since he had lost his job, and that he didn’t report his earnings to the IRS.
Rumor? Fact? Or wasted gossip that has nothing to do with Haleigh missing. Sorry, but that’s bashing.
How about Misty watching the kids? The same people bashing her are the same ignorant people who allow 15 year old babysitters into their homes to watch their children. Do they really know them, or what they do??? Now, that’s what I call judging and bashing.
I don’t have a chip on my shoulder for Timmy and his family, I have a HUGE CHIP ON MY SHOULDER for everytime some feasible credible piece of evidence starts appearing, then BAM, Cobras in jail. BAM, statements are made by the people in charge, then redacted….
Did you listen to that tape of Cobra and Jerome?? How can you say it was cordial? Jerome was nuts!! He threatened Cobra, he said violent things, and let me tell you, I stopped in my tracks..Cobra handled it like the pro he is.
I don’t have personal beefs w/anybody in this case; I am just losing my faith in LE. At first I thought they were hiding info from the public eye for good obvious strategic reasons….now, I really wonder, why are so many people coming out and proclaiming they don’t care what happens to them, they want “the truth to be told.”

Ummmm, oops, guess everyone forgot that a long long time ago LE said that they no longer wanted family members organizing and implementing searches. However, that does not mean that Ron is not constantly searching and HUNTING for his daughter every waking and sleeping (if he does) SECOND of his life. That’s wasted gossip. The man has lost 15 lbs, and constantly cries…he knows things we don’t, and worse, he is also in the dark about so much. So much suffering and pain.

Cent has a point: Is Ron being polygraphed again? I really thought he was cleared early on. But could they still test him again. (even though he’s innocent) BTW, hi Cent, guess who??? I hope you are feeling better.
I am also curious as to whether LE questions why Ron didn’t use his phone to call 911. Why would it make a difference?
Art: Once again, more gossip: where is the proof of the ridiculous story of Ron rolling Misty into a ball and kicking her, etc…any bruises, scratches, internal injuries?? NO PROOF.
Ron has not gotten off of his past charges, look at his record. (but yes, he has seemed to have gotten the minimum punishments ie diversion, community service, for each past charge. Makes one wonder….) Informant? Snitch?? UC??
Also, Art, please inform your posters that it is not in good taste to call people “trash” or any other offensive terms. It’s mean and cruel. Remember, these are Haleigh’s family members.

Where was Misty’s lawyer in all this? It would seem to me that he would never advise her to take a polygraph for the same reasons stated here: she may be so delusional she no longer is able to separate the truth from fiction.
She is covering herself. She had something to do with the disappearance and is afraid of losing Ron if the truth comes out. Plus the fact that he has threatened to kill anyone who had a hand in Haleigh’s disappearance may be the reason she won’t talk. I think Haleigh did end up in that dumpster and was carted away before LE had a chance to thoroughly examine the contents.
Whatever the truth, Misty holds the key. Right now she is basking in the notoriety, unable to look beyond the fact that she is seriously looking at real jail time for the next 20 years and hopes to say anything that will get out of jail.
She ratted out Tommy in the past so it is not unusual to try it again. No loyalty in this group.

You do a great job keeping us informed of the latest news on Halegh. After keeping up with this case for the last 6 months, I have a theory that Ronald was the one that caused harm to Haleigh before he left for work and left Misty to deal with it! I think Haleigh died as a result and after RC got to work, he was “freaking out” and that’s why he kept calling Misty’s cell phone. I think he was ordering Misty to clean up the evidence and dispose of her body. I think that is where Tommy,cousin Joe and the van come into the equation around 10:00 pm, I think Haleigh’s body was either taken to RC’s jobsite or some wooded area in that van for disposal. Maybe, she was originally put in the dumpster where the dogs first went and then moved. Maybe there were towels or rags with Haleigh’s blood or scent in that dumpster. I believe Misty knows what happened to cause Haleigh’s death, but does not know exactly where her body is. I believe she was carried out the back door wrapped in garbage bags or something and hauled off. What was all that business of RC putting the headless rat in Tommy’s mailbox right after Haleigh came up supposedly missing. Was RC afraid that Tommy or one of the Croslin family might tell something they knew or were a party to? I firmly believe that RC married Misty because of the sworn pact between them for Misty to never tell what really happened. The tatoo’s give another clue as well. I think it is well past the time to re-investigate Ronald if LE isn’t already. I just can’t fathom any father who has no involvement being so tight with a girl that ultimately is responsible for his daughter’s disappearance. We all know that RC has a history of drug use, alchol, violence, threats, weapons and lies. Let’s get to the bottom of this for justice for Haleigh and keep him out of society.

It is extremely juvenile and he sounds jealous, sour and more like 14 year old girl than a journalist. Every so often I will check out the “journalism” over on BNN and I’m never impressed. It seems they get most of their information from NG or you, but then bash and slam your sources or angles of your journalism. I’m sure what I’m typing is not news to you or anybody reading this but it really is a distracting to the public who follows this case when S.B. takes his focus off a missing child and turns it into a jealous tirade of insults directed at, of all people you. Art, All I can say from the beginning of Haleigh’s disappearance until now is: Cummings’ family and Misty Croslin.
I believe their arrest is near because of what they did to the baby, Haleigh. It is my opinion, and I respect it.
Why is Ronald Cummings in Putnam Jail, Art? Do you know why? We all know his LE buddies are there! Is he being protected? It is my opinion that he should be put in the same jail as Misty and Tommy. Afterall, Cummings has been in PCJ many times, so I suppose he gets special treatment from ol’ friends. Good food! Good conversations! Money for goodies! Hope he doesn’t escape like the most recent convicts did! What a horrible thought!!!
We need more of the “secret” videos and phone calls of the Cummings on NG. Oh but Miss Nancy won’t do that to the baby Ron.

What’s interesting about that is that Misty denied it, and Ron later explained he instructed her to deny they had anything to do with it because he mentioned he wanted to see her tell a lie to police that he knew was a lie to see if he would be able to tell when she was lying to him–his own internal polygraph…For someone he suspects knows more about what happened to Haleigh, why would he be hooking up with her again, unless the split was a ruse and they planned to get back together from the get go? Not only does the public have a right to know what is going on in Haleigh’s case but I really and truly believe that LE wants this kind of thing made public. It will only pressure Misty more once again seeing her lies plastered all over Nancy Grace, Art Harris and the internet. I know she is in jail, but she has access to television and I’m quite sure her family keeps her up to speed on daily happenings regarding Haleigh’s case.
I, for one, appreciate knowing this information. I am not surprised in the least that Misty failed yet another polygraph and I certainly believe it will move the case forward, even if just a bit.

First, I don’t publish “gossip” and if I do I label it such, but your question about Ron rolling Misty into a ball isn’t gossip. If you recall–go back and watch her friend’s interview, Nay Nay Cristina Prevatt–who told artharris.com that’s what Misty told her, when she called to be picked up after Ron kicked her out and she went AWOL with Nay Nay at the wheel for three days of drugs and sex, the revenge romance with WBG–same story WBG also told us on the record and on videotape and sources close to the investigation confirm Misty, WBG and Nay Nay told t hem. I’d say that pretty much attributes the info to what they told real sources WE interviewed.
Why do you call it a ridiculous story? Did you perhaps get that from one of the internet sites we consider a joke, that couldn’t get anyone official to take its calls, much less its reptilian guests? LOL. We NEVER reported Misty had internal injuries? where did you get that? I don’t believe we reported she said he kicked her either…All we reported you need to go back and read and hear from Nay Nay’s mouth, and from what WBG said Misty told him, and LE.
I try to edit out the word trash and I totally agree that is not appropriate and if in my daze of going through comments I see anyone throwing cheap insults like that, they will be zapped and their whole comment sent to trash.
Unlike some blogs, we encourage civil behaviour and restraint, and don’t appreciate anyone making it personal. We agree it’s mean and cruel, but that’s the nature of some bloggers and some blogs with big chips and inferiority complexes. We choose to ignore them.
We get called names, sure, but that comes with the territory, and could care less what folks we have no respect for say about us. We’ve already had one of our members file a police report about a convicted sex offender named Hobbit who stalked and harrassed several or our members who busted him for covering up his prison record–8 years for raping his daughters– only to emerge with a blog that feigned interest in Haleigh, we now know, so he could get his twisted jollies from hanging and trying to blend in to a caring public posse that genuinely tries to keep missing kids cases alive. Look him up yourself: Ricky Lee Lincoln, RSO, Yuba City, Ca….we hear he’s back on the web, trying to make a comeback and rally his old fans.

No psychics have offered anything LE has found useful; the van has been processed by the FDLE lab and returned long ago to the Croslin. Jr told what he told to a veteran child psycologist with a top university LE has relied on as an expert, but he’s under age for a witness that could be used in court, so it is what it is. Art

I don’t want to start any rumors… Lord knows there are enough of those, but I have a few questions about what I’ve been reading here… so I’ll ask about them.
1. I thought I knew a lot about this case, but I heard nothing about a van. ??? Who has a van? Doesn’t Joe have a pick up? And it was gone, then back again with scratches and the blanket off of Misty’s bed?
2. Someone took away Haleigh’s medications? How do we know they weren’t sold by dad and step-mom after her disappearance? I never heard they went missing when she did.
3. Was Misty pregnant by someone else and rolled into a ball? What’s that all about? I never heard that before.
4. Even if Joe was supposed to have left on the 25th, and had decided to do that long before Haleigh disappeared, don’t you think it would be a reasonable thing for him to stay to see where little Haleigh was? Wasn’t he curious? Not in the least? Was it the 25th when he left when was it that Haleigh disappeared? Why leave early?
PLEASE help me out here and let me know which are truths and which are not. AND please answer my questions #50, which are still pending moderation. I’m too curious about this Joe guy.

6. One of the brothers sold his red truck to a black guy? How does that have anything to do with Haleigh? Did he even ever SEE her?
And let me clear something up for NG… no one ever said that Misty got up to go to the bathroom clear across the trailer. If I get up in the night and someone has a light on in my house, I know it. I can see it shining. Misty was going to go to the bathroom in her bedroom, but her bedroom door was open and when she awoke, if she did, she would be able to easily see that there was a light on somewhere and would go investigate. Wouldn’t anyone?
Now, about that blanket… if it was found in the “van” that I have heard nothing about, did they ever let a cadaver dog sniff it to see if a dead Haleigh had been in it?

LE also “cleared” Misty at the same time about a year ago, in the same article. What does that tell you now?
LE doesn’t have to tell the truth to the media, us, the family, or anyone if it will hurt their case. I believe it would be very helpful for you to read up on that. It may help you understand more about how Law Enforcement really works.
As an investigative journalist/reporter, Art Harris knows this to be true as well.
Remember the search at the Mondex for Haleigh’s case? LE came directly to the media and said it was an underwater training exercise remember?

Polygraph tests are no more reliable than guessing. I think it was a stranger. I have not seen any signs of guilt in any of these characters. Kind of sad that journalists dont make it more clear that polygraph tests are a fraud.

Thank you Art for staying on this case. It’s difficult to believe Ron does not know what happened to to his daughter, by now. I think he should be polygraphed, again. If Ron left work at about 3AM….exactly what time did he begin working that night? Misty failed the poly about her cousin and brother. I still believe she is covering for herself or Ron. We will see if Tommy passes his poly.

Hi Art – After all this time and everything I have read, I still think Ronald hurt Haleigh before he left for work. Have you ever interviewed the AC guy? I doubt he can verify if Haleigh was ok – what repair person pays attention to the children playing in the yard? The only people verifying that she was ok that really knew her was Misty’s brother and Ronald’s grandmother. The grandmother said that the kids were eating dinner outside. I read that the temperature was in the low 60′s. That is chilly for eating outside – especially for Floridians. I also question the “rat” story. Am I understanding correctly that Ronald claims he did that to test Misty’s lying ability to police? In order to gain info about Haleigh? That is so convoluted it doesn’t even make sense. FYI – not that it matters because I am just one viewer – but I can’t watch Nancy Grace anymore. I know it is her “schtick” but her rudeness is getting obnoxious. Also, her support for Ronald is maddening. If for no other reason than he is a racist – she should not continue to profess her support for him. JMO!

Thanks for your reply and RC’s headless rat explanation/ self polygraph test.(that made me laugh so hard)Now to me, that definitely sounds like Ron had Misty sworn to secrecy and he desparately needed the security and reassurance that she WAS capable and convincing enough for him to lie to police for him and passed his test. I am sure had he not been seen putting that morbid thing in the Croslin’s mailbox, he never would have told that story. It just goes back to the old saying, tell one lie, tell another to justify the first. I still think that is why he married her in order to keep her covering for him. I never ever heard him say he was deeply in love with her, planned to marry, had the date set only that “was what Haleigh would have wanted” Isn’t that rediculous?? lol. Expecting a 5 yr. old to understand the meaning of marriage between her daddy and some young girl that had been hanging around for a couple of months. Still puzzles me as to why he did take the chance of divorcing her and possibly have her turning on him for it, but I do imagine he had her brainwashed that all the fighting/arguing/publicity was too much and that they would still be lovers etc. no matter what. Plus I also think she was a constant reminder of his guilt, not to mention a burden on his mother/grandmother who they were living with. Surely there was no means of self support or income for either of them. Keep it up Art! It is all going to surface soon because of your dedication and hard work! Jusice will prevail for Haleigh because of it and it is much appreciated.

Misty knew exactly what she was doing when she wrote that letter. if she knows nothing else, she knows her mail and jail conversation’s are monitored. i think she said what she said to throw cops off to who she is really protecting.
I’m curious if the police ask if she is protecting Ronald and if he knows what happened to his daughter and if she pass or failed that question.

Someone addressed what I said about Misty. That if she knew the maternal side had Haleigh she would of spilled the beans by now. I am sure that is the last thing she would want Ronald to know, That she was involed in letting the maternal side take Haleigh. Think about it!! Misty wants out of jail sooooo bad! If she could bring Haleigh home and it was that simple to do. Haleigh would of been home by now. Misty is out for Misty only.
I have never read that LE stated whoever took Haleigh they took her meds. It was reported that her nebulizer was missing. It was reported that LE confirmed Crystal had her nebulizer for Haleigh. The one Ronald had was gone. Please do not confuse the nebulizer with the inhaler that was still present in Rons home. Furthermore, Ronald himself said on Nancy Grace that Haleigh was on no meds at the time she went missing. Haleigh only had to use her inhaler( albuterol puffer ) twice a day.

If you read the original police report which is still available. Misty tells the officer that she woke up a little before three. She should of saw two something on the clock; not three something,which she later changed her story to. Why did she change it to three something? Because that would mean LE was not notified immediately upon her realizing Haleigh was gone. She got up to get a drink was changed to get up and go to the bathroom. In the original 911 call she said Haleigh was wearing her pjs. A t-shirt and panties. In the police report Misty then said approx 15 minutes later Haleigh was wearing a pinkshirt and tan shorts. Mistys inconsistencies began at the very start.
Misty says she was asleep; she don’t know what happened.Just like Rons I was at work speech. Now she is awake and tells a story about brother Tommy and cousin Joe.
Misty is involved in Haleighs disappearance even if it just having knowledge of what happened and covering up the truth.

I have no doubt at this point, Misty knows exactly what occurred.. For a long period of time, I didn’t believe she was covering for ron and family.. but.. the dawning of reality has rather slapped me around a bit and I do believe they are asking the wrong questions about the night Haleigh went missing.. And Maybe Haleigh didn’t just go missing..
These two Families have been at a war for a number of years, and it seems that the babies have always been the the issue, who has them.. and who wants them away from who has them.. And it is a truth that the kids would be taken from the house by their Mother, left with their Grandparent, and then their Father would have to go steal them back, as per JSheffield… So, the kids were always a target….
Why would this time be any different? And for the sake of peace of mind.. Lets say Haleigh left the house with one of the Bio Mom’s family members, if not the Bio Mom.. And had permission to do so!!!
What if it was a decision among parents that turned sour?
What if the 911 call was revenge?
What if there never was an abduction?
What if all the inconsistent statements have all been coverups to protect each other?
Has anyone at the school ever confirmed, they saw misty bring Haleigh in that Monday morning?
Was it truly confirmed that Haleigh went to school that Monday?
What if, Ron had gone over to say JS picked up Haleigh and taken her to school?
What if, Misty had picked up Haleigh and taken her back to JS house to drop off? As Planned, with nothing wrong but Ron changing his mind?
What if PCSO having to look at all sides of the story got stuck on Misty, because they aren’t asking her the right questions?
Maybe the timeline they should inquire about is not the real time in question?
From the beginning, I have seen action versus reaction with these two people, ron and crystal.. and one has to remember, that action was taken against ron in Dec, and finalized in Feb.. Was the child support issue the reaction, or was agreeing to let Haleigh go to Crystal the reaction, knowing that the sweet revenge could be.. Hey, she stole my kid??
Do I think anyone of the family members harmed Haleigh, NO, no way.. none of them would harm this precious little spit fire.. But, they would fight over her in a New York minute, even if she was a handfull… Could drugs have been a deciding factor on who should have Haleigh? Possible, the only person in either family that I have never heard the phrase drugs attached to a name, is Haleigh, Junior and Bruce Griffis.
So, my advise for all of you who think foul play has come about against this beautiful little girl, well rush on down to Putnam, make sure you have clothing to wear out in the woods to protect you, take what you need to spend days, weeks or months out there, and just search every drop of putnam county.. Oh, don’t forget to go through every pond out there too!! And went your through, and you’ve found nothing. Come back and tell us about your experiences.. My opinion.. you can search until doomsday, but if there is nothing out there to find, your going to find NOTHING.. Good Luck!!!

Art Like DR Pill would say What would M. Get out of this (what would be her gain.?).To take 3 LDT if she knew she was lieing? Why would she do that? When she could have just refused the test.What would be the reason,to hurt her already worried family,an give false hope to Halieghs family.That would be a stresser within its self when taking a test.Im sure her Lawyer instructed her of this,AS being able to refue it..Im not saying she is,or isnt guilty of something.I dont know.Could there actualy have been a plan to steal the gun,an she was out.An just thought this was what happened? I really wouldnt allow my child,or my client to take a LDT, unless it was from privite sorces.An if T gets a privite tester,an passes,shouldnt she be allowed one to.Away from the very people who are seeking someone to charge for Halieghs abduction.
Art I read up on these type test They have been known to fail,in quite a few cases.Some one would pass,an later evidence would lead right back to the person who passed.An they would be charged.I just read last night where some had only though that a person was involved,an it threw the test.I just as some who do testing of crime evidence say, they would rather reley on DNA,other evidence than to trust something that has neen known to have failed before.When dealing with serious cases such as a missing child,an another person/or persons life being at stake.(the person accused)Praying this is solved,an Haliegh is found.Who ever is responsible should be charged.No matter who it is.

I really enjoyed listening to the Steph Watts and Levi shows you were a guest on. WOW!! I could not believe my ears when I heard Steph verify and confirm that Donna Brock and Misty actually had an ad on Craigslist for prostituting themselves.
I agree with Pat Brown that LE wants Ron to believe he is not being looked at. I agree that Ron desrves to be looked at closer. You do not call home over 90 times and just stop off for beer and nuts as if you are not concerned about anything. This was a plan of his own to divert attention away from himself and have a more secure alibi. I do not think he himself hurt Haleigh, but I do believe he had indirect involvement and it is my opinion that LE does to. That is why I believe they feel they have the right ones incarcerated pertaining to Haleighs disappearance.

Well Art, sadly two of the cases covered on the NG show have ended in tragedy but at least the babes have been found and can be laid to rest in a dignified manner. This is one reason i appreciate NG so much, she keeps public awareness to watch for vehicles, remember faces etc. It very much could/has help overall in solving some of the cases and it is the only show that night after night speaks for those who cannot, the victims. I will never understand why so many “adults” have to take others out with them when they decide to end their own miserable lives. We will find Haleigh no matter how long it takes. You have been relentless in this for the past year+ and you deserve so much credit for all you have done. We love you Art Harris, you are one great human being, the ultimate professional with a huge heart. I still think of little Neveah, i pray they find who took her life and rid society of more scum.

Art, can you tell me if Putnam County Jail has the capability to record phone calls and jail visits. More pointedly, do they have camera’s recording the jail visit? Do you have any insight whatsoever as to why we have not seen any of Ronald Cummings jail visits or phone calls? Thank you very much!!

Art, did I hear somewhere that Ronald’s gun was found in a ditch the next morning? Where was Ron’s gun found if it was not in the usual place? I can’t imagine why it would be found in a ditch but I keep thinking I heard that somewhere right after Haliegh went missing. Do anyone else remember hearing this? Did I dream that? Where is the gun now that RC said he didn’t own any guns? Help me please. Anyone know.

I don’t recall hearing anything before about Haleigh’s medicine being taken. Is this true?
Whoever here said..”nobody ever said Misty was going to the bathroom furthest away from the bedroom”, i remember quite well that comment came directly from Misty herself. Is this also correct?

Ronald’s alibi of being at work? Verified by cell phone pings at the job. Couldn’t a cunning person leave their phone at work and set it to redial a number over and over?
Seems to me it is more likely it was set to “redial” than him hitting redial 90 times when he is supposed to be working. Could also be preplanned for Misty to shut off her phone.

I still beleive that possibly Hailey did really eat an oxycontin at a party that misty took her to or a friends house of misty’s. It has been brought up before and little kids could mistake that pill for a piece of candy and everyone there probably did’nt notice till it was too late and she overdosed and died and they were all scared to call the police so they disposed of her body and they are all keeping it a secret now afraid that if it gets out that they will get in trouble for witholding that information. I beleive that why ronald was calling from work that all this happened and misty played it off, now maybe she has told ronald now maybe she has’nt but if she has then ronald will probably keep it a secret too…even though its his daughter they seem to be more worried about getting high and living there lifes without the drama of dealing with police and jail they have moved on and are trying to forget what happened thats what i beleive…I know that when I was in highschool a group of kids i went to school with were doing heroin driving down the highway and one of the kids overdosed they pulled into a rest area told the guy working there to call the emergency squad and when he came back they left the kid dead propped up against a tree cuz they were scared cuz they were all doing drugs so its possible it was an accidental overdose and they freaked out and got rid of the body and if they tell now everyone will know what they have done…and I could totally see this little girl getting ahold of an oxycontin and them being so high they didnt notice till she was about dead

Art, do you know what the results were when Jr. was questioned? And if the fact that Misty said that Jr. got up and went into the living room brought up to Jr? All that I can recall hearing about Jr. is that he saw a black man take Haleigh. Also, wasn’t there a fight between Ronald and Joe a few days prior to Haleigh being taken, right in Ronalds yard? And wasn’t there something thrown in the brush so some place during that fight? I guess it just stands to reason, to me anyways, that Joe, already having a record, and a not so good relationship with Ronald, had a pretty good reason for doing something to get even with Ron. And also, there seems to be a lot of talk about at least two different guns. Seems that Tommy is always stealing guns, not only from Ronald, but also neighbors. Also Art, do you know what the FBI results were concerning the van? If they did find a connection with the van, would they put this out to the public, or do they keep it hidden? I am just wondering, was there an explanation from anyone, including the family, as to where the scratches and the branches in the headlight actually came from? And why the van was moved, and by whom? You’re a great guy Art. God bless!

How could Ron leave his children with a known drug addict or dealer? Isnt that child endangerment? why is he not charged at least to that effect..i do beleive that tommy had something to do with this. he admits he was there that night. how did he bang on door and take a peek in? i beleive lil haleigh woke up and let him in..thinking it was her dad. drugged out Misty knew nothing..she was out. he took her..did his thang and well you know the rest…give him a new poly…

You know, I am truly afraid to put this in writing but she and Casey Anthony will go down in the anals of crime history as holding out longer than any other guilty woman ever has. Incredible. I guess when your entire family life was based on lies and deceit, that is all she can be; a deceitful liar. It just has to be common place for her, she does it so well and seems entirely unaware that she is lying???

Hi Art! I wanted to say first that I love you. I dont understand why they just dont put Ronald, Tommy, And Misty all in one room and have Ronald yelling at them to tell the truth? I also believe that Misty’s dad believes that she is guilty of something! He is the only real one in that CRAZY family that always brings up Haleigh and wants to know what happened to her. She is putting a lot of people threw HELL and doent really seem to mind. If she was innocent the real thruth would have come out by now. She would not be making up all these lies. Since she is a big inconvienence they need to throw her into GP and have it over with maybe after that she wont feel like prision (jail) is a joke!!

I apologize as I haven’t had time to read all 115 comments, although I will later on, but,……I am wondering if anyone noticed the way the father of Misty speaks to her on the phone in jail. He sounds as though he is *questioning* her like an under cover informant. I just always found it weird the way his tone is and the way he asks the questions fully knowing he is being recorded and possibly on the Nancy Grace show. Personally I like this idea he might be on the good side,…realizing in his heart his daughter is involved someway somehow. Another thing I noticed, when Misty speaks to her mother, the mother is the child and the daughter the mother. Lisa laughs over the most moronic things, teaches her daughter how to get salt for her food in jail, of all places, and says “huh?” one too many times. Just my opinions. Thanks Art.

I agree with alot of others. Give Ron and his mom a polygraph. Actually the peron giving the poly should do it on tv, so the nation can hear the questions asked, Misty might have failed the POLY, BUT do we know what the questions asked were?? NO, because this is all a SET UP probably, anything to make Misty look guilty..WHY DIDNT RON CALL 911, IT WAS HIS DAUGHTER. WHY DIDNT HE RUN OUT THE DOOR IMMEDIATELY, KNOCKING ON ALL THE TRAILORS, SAYING HAS ANYONE SEEN MY DAUGHTER SHES MISSING? WHY WOULDNT HAVE MISTY CALLED RON AT WORK? IT SAYS HE DIDNT KNOW UNTIL HE CAME HOME? i THINK RON DID IT, BY ACCIDENT, HE WAS SOO MAD AT MISTY THAT NIGHT, AND HIS MOM AND MISTY HELPED DO SOMETHING WITH HER BODY, AND MISTY IS SCARED OF HIM, REMEMBER HE HAS NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE FOR ANYTHING HES DONE?

Chelsea and Misty found the gun after searching long and hard, all muddy in the back yard, but others tell me it was in the iopen drain pipe under the driveway. joe denies he stole it, but family believes ron humiliated him with the accusations, getting in his face. Some claim that anger, getting even motivated him to go back for the assault rifle, if you buy Misty’s tale, and allegedly leaving with Haleigh, if you buy the story Misty flunked a recent lie detector test while telling…Art

I just don’t understand why Misty would let people in the house to look for Ronald’s gun to steal. (if that’s what she is saying) She is the one that would be be blamed by Ronald if the gun was stolen since she is the one in the house responsible for the children and the contents of the home. I guess she also says when they couldn’t find the gun they decided to take Haleigh instead. (and she just LET them)?? This just makes no sense at all to me. This sounds more like something she is saying as a theory instead of fact.
It has always bothered me that cousin Joe left the morning Haleigh went missing. Who does THAT? Tommy’s wife stated that the van had been moved and had scratches on it and that Joe would have had access to that van when he slept over at her house that night. (both he and Tommy had access) So many suspects because of Ronald and Misty’s lifestyle. Ronald because he had anger issues and sells and takes drugs, Misty because she sells and takes drugs, both because of the people they are around, most of Misty’s family and some of their friends. People are moving to get away for whatever reason, it looks bad.

Art, here is a suggestion for the Nancy Grace show tomorrow evening (Wednesday Apr 14): Little Haleigh was most likely dead before she left the mobile home. Please replay in full the interview of Misty on the couch with her mother, taped the day after the disappearance. Misty tells an elaborate and ridiculous story to explain why a blanket is missing from the house. I have felt from the beginning that this blanket was used to wrap Haleigh’s body in, before cousin Joe, or whoever, took her away. Nancy could lead with the headline: Where is the missing blanket? etc. If the blanket is found with the body, this proves Misty was involved with, or a witness to, Haleigh’s death.

I know tommy was in jail for stealing a gun not to long ago maybe he wanted the gun, and if JOE could kill a child they would have to know he would come back and kill them. Art, thank you for your non-biased reports, unlike NG who is so partial to Ron. I feel sorry for Bio mom, Crystal. She did not stand a chance with NG. Why hasn’t Ron’s past trouble with the law ever been brought to light? This is the first I heard of Misty being pregnant, and Ron Kicked her. I didn’t know if this is fact or Misty’s tales.
