Exclusive: New Misty Croslin Jailhouse Letter! Key To Cracking Haleigh Cummings Case?

The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that after a month behind bars in the St. John’s County Florida jail, 18 year old Misty Croslin has written a jailhouse letter detailing what she claims happened to the missing five year she reported missing on Feb. 9, 2009 while babysitting Haleigh Cummings at her then boyfriend’s trailer in Satsuma, Florida.
Sources close to the case tell me investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department missing child task force obtained a copy of the letter from a Croslin relative Misty wrote last week and are comparing it to other stories she’s told before. “Part of it they believe, and part of it they don’t,” said a source who has read the letter, and says investigators are going through it with a fine tooth comb.
“The problem with Misty is that they need someone credible to corraborate anything she says because she’s told conflicting stories about that night,” says the source.
We discuss Misty’s letter on The Nancy Grace Show tonight (Friday, March 12, 2010) for the first time, 8 and 10 p.m. est.
Croslin remains behind bars on 7 counts of drug trafficking and faces upwards of 130 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT! After a year, Misty writes a letter detailing specifics of this crime? I think this is media manipulation from LE to take the heat off their poor investigation. Why isnt Crystal Sheffield screaming from the rooftops DEMANDING ANSWERS? Her silence is deafening and suspicious. Misty is not the key–she has been made the scapegoat by an inept police force that lost focus since day one!

Do you think it is Ron and Tommy? or Tommy and the Cousin? I have hard time believing that Ron is not involved. IF my child was missing I believe I would be out looking everyday. I will be glad when we find out what happened to lil Haleigh. I pray that she is safe, where ever she is; whether here on earth or in heaven.

Yeah! Someone FINALLY gets it! Leonard…..for all his faults, I believe is actually onto the true story. Misty and Jr. were removed from the situation while Haliegh was being disposed of and the house cleaned up. The pot was removed, the house wiped down and Misty and Jr. were returned just before Ron came home. Maybe he even went and got them!
Granny Skykes was there to pick up Jr. IF she was ever there.
Clearly, to anyone watching this case. Misty was not home. However, not because she was out partying..she was taken away while the crimes scene was cleaned.
Finaly,I believe IF she knew anything on anyone except Ron..she would have sang like an bird by The ONLY one she refuses to discuss or implicate is him. She has thrown her family under the bus time and time again. Funny how that is the only people she has to call or get help from now!

So…is Misty a little vamp, never even had a baby of her very own (Gosh, thank goodness not)…then what of the Father that had Haleigh, actually just impregnated her mother, than begot?

I think you have done some awesome research involving this case.
It looks to me like Misty is pointing her finger at everyone else but herself. Her actions and words from the get go have shown nothing but GUILT to me…
She’d rather go to prison as a drug trafficker than a baby killer. She may be eaten up with it but she is not that stupid when it comes to how she will be treated when she goes down to serve time.

I think it’s more of Misty’s lies…She is going to try to say Tommy, and Overstreet took her. She cares more for her lover Ronald than she does her own brother..Misty knows her letters are screened in the jail..Why would she tell a relative in a letter who she thinks is involved in Haleigh’s disappearance?..She wouldn’t tell the bounty hunter, Padilla, who said he would get her out of jail if she confessed, but she will tell in a letter, knowing it will be read by LE, possibly? I’m not buying it..She is just trying to take the focus off she and Ronald..I think Ronald and Misty were involved in Haleigh’s disappearance, and no one else…

Misty is still lying, IMO, she is trying to put someone else in the hot seat besides herself. This girl will lie and lie, because she knows if she tells the truth she will be in more trouble then she is in right now.
I dont believe for one minute that Tommy had anything to do with Haleigh being gone, IMO, he was too busy doing drugs to worry about a child, hell, he tried to lie for Misty to begin with to save her ass, but he ended up telling
LE that he went to the home that night and she wasnt there, he only told this when he had to to get out of jail. Misty is the guilty party here and probably Ron too,

Ya know, I have believed from the get-go that the guilty parties are Tommy and this Joe that no one seems to talk about, at all..I haven’t even seen a picture of him…Wasn’t this Joe staying with Tommy when Haleigh disappeared? And wasn’t the van moved that night? And didn’t they say that Tommy went over and knocked on the front door of rons house? Looks to me like the side door is used daily..Why would he be knocking on the front door? And wouldn’t he have gone to the bedroom window and hollared in? Or perhaps even looked in, to see if anyone were there? Misty didn’t do anything, but Tommy and Joe? I don’t know..Tommy keeps saying that he is innocent? He even looks weird to me…And that crazy woman on Nancy Grace said that Tommy sounds innocent to her! To me, Tommy looks and sounds totally guilty to me…And I don’t believe that Misty would protect too many people, but I do believe that blood is thicker than water, and if she were going to protect someone, it would surely be Tommy…And why do we not hear or see anything about this so called Joe? Lets get the focus off of Misty and put the spotlight on Tommy and Joe..What do you think Art?

This information was not overed on NG. Can you give us more info? Do you know the actual contents of the letter? Do you know which parts are believeable and which parts LE consider “unbelievable”? Do you have any idea of how soon we can expect answers?

Art, since I found your website, it is the first and last thing I look at each day to get the latest information in this case. I know that you have been on this case since the beginning and you have possible come to care about this family but I have a hard time listening to this whole bunch act like they are fighting over every penny given to them by Padilla or their government entitlements! Misty has no work ethic and I have seen no work ethic from the mother, father, or brothers. Sell drugs, break into people’s homes that seems to be their idea of work! Their cigarette tabs alone must be a fortune. I have no pity for them at all! I hope that the inmate up stairs that has befriended her is a plant! Something has to give in this case. Sorry for the ranting Art. I normally do not blog so I kind of got carried away! Thank you for all that you do. It is appreciated!

Were the actual Lie Det. test results or even just the exact actual questions she was asked, ever released. I keep hearing both “failed miserably” and “showed signs of deception”– with regards to the test(s), but is that overall or on specific parts/questions?
Good Job Friday on NG. She is so snippy towards you sometimes when all you’re doing is telling answering the exact question she asked you and relaying information. It’s so unprofessional of her.

With all due respect, you are wrong about Fields. He’s not been paid, does it because he feels she needs someone to stand up to the system and negotiate the best deal for an accused felon, and has finally convinced his client she needs to listen. Anything she tells Padilla or investigators is not privileged, and as generous as Leonard has been, anything he might learn from her (unless he were working for Fields) could not be used to work a plea bargain that might find Haleigh or what happened to her.
To be effective, lawyers like Fields, who is quiet and highly respected locally, also need clients willing to take their advice. He doesn’t just take on anyone , and, fyi, no longer reps an accused sexual predator charged with capital sexual battery against two girls.

Bombshell is right! I sure would like to read the letter. I know it can’t be released to the public but it would give us an idea of how Misty is at least trying to explain what happened and who was involved. I’m wondering, if she insinuates Tommy and Joe as being the two who would be hurt by her talking and LE thinks half might be the truth, since they have apparently cleared Joe, that leaves Tommy. His wife in one of the tapes last night seemed to be telling him to tell what he knows in order to solve what happened to Haleigh.She’s getting impatient. He of course said he doesn’t know but it didn’t seem like she believed him, he pretty much says it won’t matter anyway, he’s still going to be in jail on other charges. She’s kind of going on blind faith, knowing the other things he’s done and lied about such as the B&E’s. Somehow i don’t see Tommy or Timmy as child killers,but i can picture one of them helping Misty if something happened and she was desperate for their help. I never thought Timmy was involved because he has been on the outside somewhat given he now lives in Mass(?), but he was in Fla at the time and Joe was staying with him if i got that part right. LP said if Tommy or Joe had any involvement they would have been arrested by now but i’m not convinced of that since LE needs a strong case before making an arrest because of double jeopardy.They need the whole truth and who did what exactly. However, Misty said to Crystal it would hurt someone they care about and told her to use her head and she could figure it out. To me that’s an admission from Misty she absolutely knows what happened to Haleigh and if she talks she has to implicate one of her brothers. Here’s the thing, if they rule out both Tommy and Joe, what does that leave? Any premise that one or both were involved would be false, so what other scenario does that leave? If Misty took the kids out that night ( i still doubt) and something happened, how does that hurt someone they care a lot about? This gives us a lot to think about but does indicate what many people already thought, Misty is responsible for whatever happened to Haleigh and she dragged someone else into it. The window of time is too small for any deep planning. I don’t believe everything Tommy says, so him saying he went there that night and got no response doesn’t mean much to me. He could have made that up to cover his own self, could be why Misty told on him for the B&E..revenge. Lisa C is hard to listen to but i think Hank has tried to get the truth out. I think it’s great you Art have such a good communication with the Croslin’s, someday i hope you tell us your own personal theory. I know as a journalist you only state facts but we all have our own idea of what happened. Great work Art, i think the letter is going to be the start of finding out the truth. It’s long overdue and time to get justice for Haleigh and let the chips fall where they may. I think at least some of the right people are in jail, just not sure all that should be are. IMO.

What I learned is that Misty recently wrote a letter from jail to a relative detailing her claims about some of her memories of the night Haleigh went missing; police have obtained the letter and are trying to corraborate those claims, and comparing it to other conflicting Misty accounts. This is what I think happened. Misty was on a 3 day binge but by her own admission the drugs were bad (ineffective). Ronald is a control freak. Ronald knows the door closes and locks automatically on the trailer so he makes sure Misty has no key. She has no car and he assumes she won’t go anywhere. Misty has figured out though that after she puts the kids to sleep she can leave by propping open the back door as long as she returns home before Ronald returns from work at 3 A.M. She admitted that when she was 5 years old Joe sexually molested her. Haleigh was 5 years old. Misty props open the door and leaves. Joe and Tommy come by the house looking for drugs or Misty. They see door open and kids asleep. They leave, then Joe comes back by himself and takes Haleigh. He does what he does then kills her. That would explain how Joe scratched up the side of the van while he was disposing of her body. Also he is the first to get out of town. Misty comes home about 2:30 A.M.-2:45 A.M. and realizes Haleigh is gone. She has to lie to Ronald about having left the trailer because he is violent. Later on she hears from Tommy about them having come by and puts two and two together when Joe flees town. She lies to the cops because she feels guilty, and doesn’t want to rat out her family. That’s my guess as to what happened.

Your assumptions are way off, regarding LE and CS, IMHO…When has she EVER screamed from the rooftops…She cares and wants answers, and has been unfairly accused of some involvement (despite cops clearing her family), but has her own issues, her caretaking now monitored by child services as she recovers from a questionable chorus of sycophants who rallied round her unwitting Mom, sowing conflict, needless drama and spreading rumors and disinformation, including a convicted child predator luridly drawn to the case whle hiding behind his website who spent eight years behind bars in a California prison for raping his two daughters. He left the web for a while when exposed, but he’s back, brazenly blogging about the case again, like Chester the Molester who just can’t stay away from the schoolyard…There are so many whackos and grandstanders who have wasted police time and manpower chasing false rumors and outright lies, and LE knows who they are and now knows to ignore them and stay focused…LE makes no bones that Misty remains the key to unlocking whatever door may lead to the next door and the next tip and ultimately answers LE needs, sources tell me, and her family is feeling the heat, whether that’s unfair or not. I’m also told she is feeling the pressure and is frightened, though you’d never know it from her false bravado and arrogance on jailhouse video as she proclaims her innocence–something we have to note to be fair–even as LE keeps its hammer down. Art, you were great on NG Friday…I heard you stand up to to her..BRAVO! It’s so obvious you know this case better than anyone on her show. She wouldn’t be NG if she didn’t try to get a sarcastic dig in..I think you handled her brilliantly..
Now that Padilla is working on bonding Tommy out, I think it will tick Misty off so much she will talk..Remember in her conversation to her Dad when she told him, “worry about getting me out first”, in reference to bonding Tommy out..Tommy and Timmy love her, but she could care less about anyone except her drug buddy, Ron..I hope Tommy is bonded out, and tells all he knows about the life of “Ron and Misty”..I think he knows a lot, and is protecting his sister..She will throw him, and anyone one else under the bus..It’s time Tommy realizes Misty is about Misty..Tell the truth, and lets the cards fall where they may.. Always look forward to seeing you on NG. You have the best insights. I have always thought this was Tommy and Joe. Misty flunked the poly because she “knows” instinctively when she sees the missing detergent. It’s Tommy’s calling card. Look at the list of what he steals: Soaps and detergents. What is wrong with Misty’s story? Missing laundry detergent and Tommy’s conflicting report. Misty and Ron also know their illegal drugs, and possibly Ron’s unregistered guns, are missing. That is why/how Ron knows it isn’t Misty but he can’t say that. Cops didn’t find any drugs in the trailer which is like not finding coffee at Starbucks.

Has anyone ever seen a picture of Joe? I haven’t…and to all that are putting ronald down..I am sorry, but no way is he involved in this…If ever I seen a man that truly loves his daughter, it would be Ronald Cummings..He may not have made the best choices as to where he lives or some of his female friends, but I absolutely, 100%, believe that no man loves his daughter more than he does…I would like to know one thing though? First of all, ronald is working in a factory while Misty is doing drugs..Sounds to me like ronald is trying to be a responsible daddy, but Misty isn’t behaving..Also, why is it that Nancy Grace, nor anyone else is trying to figure out why, after divorcing Misty, all of a sudden Ronald is with her, doing drug deals, in some other part of Florida? Why was he with her after the divorce? Is it possible that Ronald was part of a set up with the law to land Misty and Tommy in jail? To say that Ronald is guilty is like saying that Casey Anthony is not guilty…Can’t even compare the two..One shows total love for his daughter..The other shows total love for herself…What about it Art? Do you think that Ronald was part of a set up to get Misty and Joe behind bars?

Unless there is access to the letter in its entirety there is no way of knowing what it is relevant to. It could be relevant to Haleigh, drugs, both, either or, or just theories, theories of others that were over heard by Misty, things she suspected, behaviors she noticed of someone else, etc etc etc. Other than Misty & who ever she has disclosed it to, the receiver of the letter and whom they have shared it with and the Police know what it pertains to. Even at that the writers perception may be different than any one who has been exposed to it. With that said until you speak with Misty and hear it from her as to what it pertains to, what she means by it, and the exact context in which each aspect is meant, its all speculation. Nancy Grace has no way of knowing what the letter pertains to let alone what level of validity it has. Mr.Harris I know how the world works and I realize NG gives you exposure and you both serve an agenda for each other IMHO NG is aggressive, accusatory, judgmental, rude, speculative, manipulative, and obnoxious.

I think Misty is playing silly little games with LE at this time, because the reality of the situation has not really hit home with her. The reality being that she will probably be spending many years in prison. She thinks all she has to do is come up with some “interesting names” and be released. Someone needs to hit her with some hard facts, and perhaps then the truth will finally emerge.
I understand that she has spent over $400. since being jailed. That’s alot! I wonder where the money is coming from?

there’s so much we the public do not know. Thanks for the above response. It puts the breaks on ignorance.
Just FYI for all: Children’s Services gets a lot of bad press but they CANNOT respond due to confidentiality laws. Often times they know abuse/neglect is going on but proving it in court is another issue.
CPS investigators can remove a child from a mother who moved her 3RD convicted sex offender into the house but when a judge gives back the child, the mother tells the press “my baby was taken away from me because I’m not rich”.
CPS is NOT allowed to speak to the media and again looks like the bad guy.

Art, Thank you for your diligence. I missed the show on Friday. I came down with a stomach virus. I do not believe Misty. I do not blame LE for not listening to Misty and her non-sense. I believe LE said they believe part ofit because they already knew that. The thing is LE will know what the truth is when they hear it. I think they know what happened to Haleigh and what they are looking for is a confession and who all is involved with Misty and the main question WHY. Art: Did you catch the part of the audio of Tommy in jail telling Lindsey that he wrote her a long letter and he hoped she wouldn’t be mad with him after she read it? Do you think he told her something about Haleigh that implicates him in some way? The audio I’m referring to was on Sky radio.

It seems to me we have three choices in order to come up with the most logical chain of events. Was it 1. someone with a motive, revenge maybe? 2. An accident, possibly overdose or physical assault and 3. A stranger abduction. Can any of these be ruled out after all this time?

Art–I appreciate your candor and honesty, Your great work does not go unappreciated. As for as LE, police have been known to focus on one person at the exclusion of all others even with evidence pointing in another direction.I do not envy their job here considering the players in all these families. Haleigh was surrounded by people who put their drug habits first, and raising their children off on someone else. Crystal and family created the Haleighbug Foundation to help in the search for Haleigh and to elicit info on what happened. I have yet to see any action by this Foundation (besides a cookout). Many parents in the same situation (Amber Dubois`s parents come to mind) conducted searches endlessly and did media interviews to keep their daughter`s story front and center. Sadly their outcome was tragic. I would just like to see Crystal, Haleigh`s mother, speak on her behalf. It would be what any concerned parent would do. Thanks again for what you do. Think about getting your own show, I think you would have a following.

I’m confused here……when Misty was talking to Lindsay (Tommy’s wife), she said the information she gave her lawyer would hurt two people: one she cares about and the other she kind of cares about. Lindsay asked if it was Ronald, and Misty said no, just think Chelsea and she’d understand. Isn’t Chelsea’s husband Timmy Croslin, not Tommy? I think she’s trying to implicate Timmy and Chelsea. Cousin Joe was staying with them, not Tommy. Timmy only moved away 6 months after Haleigh went missing. He was still living in Satsuma.

Letters going out of jail are not read by LE.Or they arnt suppose to be.All incomming are checked for contraband.But im sure some of the gaurds read them. However you said it was turned in.It could be something that would cause her Mother,an Father pain.
In the beginning.As Haliegh was a girl child …it was someone who just wanted a girl child.As we see the boy child was left.
I think if LE had ordered Rehab,an counseling in the beginning she would have talked to them by now.Art you know your self Misty did not make all those sells.Donna Brock /Ron/or Tommy could have handed some out.An you know temptation of 200 pills offered by UC to these little people ,was a big thing to them.But it cant be charged as a sale,because no moneu was passed,an not one of those pills were sold.Because of that extrapment those should be thrown out.Ony the sales,with money passed should stand.Was the person she went an got the pills from for one sale arrested.as a drug supplier.The one where she an kelly went to the home to get pills from to sell to UC.
I find Haliegh going missing,or if she deceaced.Exposed a lot in that county.When audios were released.Of Cobras tapes when he went to the darker side,of town.It was revealed of many big dealers.Charles…was said by Barbra to be a big dealer,Ace was mentioned as a dealer.We know Jarome was said to be a dealer,an pimped girls out.mANY MORE MENTIONED,ABOUT misty going there to cop dope.This being the old motel,flop house room 3 was mentioned.It was said the tapes were turned in to LE,an they listened,an turned them back over to im guessing Cobra.His words Hes there to find Haliegh,an if a drug dealers was owed,he would pay them off if they did take Haliegh.Later after the tapes–we see this arrest.Why has all these dealers, not been cleaned up.Yet they went after these little peons.We all know it was a set up,an we all know it was to get anwsers.Clean the big ones up,the little ones cant get the dope.Tommy also said on Jail call,that he saw ( WONT SAY WHO) But it was A head person over this case on news 30, Tommy talking to Lindsey,an said hey thats the -a head person over Putnum co SON,he takes more pills than i do.Now i heard the audio of this.Why wasnt that put on NG show-an know im only repeating what has put out for us to hear,an read.That part isnt mop.Why hasnt that county been cleaned up before now.!!!
Art ,i have followed this case,sence the first.It has made me sick Halieghs gone,an not a trace of her todate.We know investigators didnt find blood in the house,an the would have detedted it with Luminal.If they had,Misty would have been arrested,an charged,with murder.

But i do know Roxys,an Oxys come in different colors.An it could be this child got into her purse, or where meds could have been hid.looking for sweets.Took a tablet,but they are so bitter if chewed she would have spit out most of it. Could it just be she walked in from being out an caught someone who had did something bad to Haliegh,an cover up all of it.
OR could it just be exausted sleep,an child was taken.Many have been taken from their beds with family asleep.An no forced entry,or DNA left behind.200 SO are missing not reg,Georga.Florda area. When someone sets their sights on a child,they usualy take them,an the endings not good.
I want the truth,to see any evidence LE has.So we can know what LE has investigated,an who!! Haliegh im praying for you to be found.

Art Mistys lawyer knows.Misty told her mom he knows on a jail call.Why doesnt Mistys Attorny.Go to Dectives,an Misty tells what she knows.Haliegh can be found.Misty gets dropped charges to missdimeaner.An goes into a in house rehab,an long term counseling.That she has needed for yrs. Its a win, win situation.If she didnt murder Haliegh.This child can be found,an closure comes for all those who love her.It happens, deals all the time.Why not in this case.

I was raised to respect LE, with a bit of fear thrown in, to keep me on the right path..Misty is lying, and teasing LE with her actions..I am surprised she gets away with her actions..Her parents are enablers..They too, are blaming everyone except Misty.. LE should drop the hammer, and get tough with her. I’m sure they are working slowly and methodically to piece it all together, but it’s gone on too long.. I think if this case weren’t high profile, Haleigh’s whereabouts would be known by now…I hope all the media attention isn’t clouding the case…Misty isn’t going to talk until she has to, and so far it’s been smooth sailing for her.

FooBros Misty was talking to Chelsea,not Lindsey Listen to the voice.Thats not Lindseys voice..Thinking the reason she told Chelsea to think.Because Chelsea in the beginning of Halieghs disapearence. Chelsea Had suspusions,because the van. had been moved,an scratched. But it had been a yr.thats why she told her to think.In other words look back from the beginning,an you will know.
Out of Misty ,an Tommy.Tommy is the sneaker type.He slips out,an does B&ES in homes or sheds, an steals to supply his drug habit.As has been told.That is a person slipping unnoticed in the night.Probably wears dark cloths.He would surly be one i wouldnt trust.Why did LP need to get a puter with web cam on it to talk to Lindsey.He doesnt need to see her to chat.He always seems to have a theory,an has been wrong so many times.But playing one against the other.By maybe IF Tommy gets a bond.He sees it as Misty would get angry,an say something.An could it just be Mistys Attorney wanted papers signed that LP wouldnt chat,or spill anything on TV.an LP wouldnt sign those papers.I watch people,an their habits.

If Misty put the kids to bed around 8pm and she went to bed by 10-11pm, how is it that Jr was awake and saw a man dressed in black? Something would have had to wake him up. I believe he saw someone. If Haleigh was also awake she must have still been in bed for Jr to have seen someone pick her up. Doesn’t it seem like if she was awake she would have made some noise when someone was picking her up? Maybe she did and it woke up Jr? If she was sleeping than she was taken on purpose, not because she witnessed anything. Whoever did this was walking around freely in the home, turning on a light, propping doors open. Sounds a lot like someone who has been in that home before and weren’t very concerned about waking people up unless Misty was already awake. IMO.

Everyone is talking about Crystal. She didn’t have custody. Ron knowingly left a drugged out, uneducated, damaged, and immature young girl at watch the kids he loved so much. Theresa N. cared so much she didn’t want to watch Ron’s kids either. The grand mother didn’t watch them either. So Ron endangered his kids time and time again. This time his luck ran out. He is a known informant that’s why a person that has 32 charges against him has always walked. Then how in the world did he get custody. Could you imagine what that judge was thinking. I have never believed Ron was a good guy. You get young girls because you have control issues because you lack confidence in yourself. Then after all he knows he marries her. Nancy grace falls for his BS all the time. She’s worthless and rude. Ron was so comfortable with his DFC worker he would go to his house. How insane is that? You know where your DFC worker lives? really ?!?!?!? That’s a BS move right there. So Crystal failed these kids however Ronald was the one that continually put them in harms way. Then there’s other kids he doesn’t claim. The real Ron is the one on that 911 type not the acadamy award winning crying scene in the trailor park. So give me a rather large break.

Jan 57. Thanks. I also think the cinder block is a bright red flag for Tommy. It’s an OUTSIDE object. Misty lived there. She didn’t have to run around in the dark, in the middle of the night, to find something to prop open the door. She could have used anything INSIDE for both doors. (notice outside object: cinder block, inside object on inner door: dirty clothes?) However, she had no need for that kind of stealth. She could have simply closed the bedroom door, if anything. We know Tommy knows how to break in to trailers. He puts himself there that night. The propped doors and the objects used don’t fit Misty. They fit Tommy.

Art on Levi’s radio show last night you said Putnam county was not releasing any of Ron’s phone calls. If you go to the youtubes you posted of Ron’s phone calls and listen to the first one you will hear in the first 7 seconds that it is from Putnam county. The infamous dirty shorts call was made from Putnam and so was the bad tooth call made from Putnam.
Any idea why they are not releasing anymore and just releasing ones of the Croslin’s?
Do you think it is possible LE is just trying to poison the jury pool?
Are these tapes being released under the Sunshine law or are the police just releasing the ones they want?

Art, How are they going to find anyone credible to corroborate this story if Misty, Tommy and Cousin Joe are the only ones that know what happened? LE must have evidence in order to realize what the truth is. Right? I have to believe that LE knows what happened to Haleigh, because if they are waiting on a credible witness to come forward; that is highly unlikely to happen.

As a former teacher of students who are Misty’s age, I’m familiar with ‘false bravado’ and sassy backtalk. This young woman’s fear/anger expresses itself through her nasty attitude and defensiveness. While I grant that she’s terrified, she also seems to have a personality disorder, perhaps oppositional defiance disorder. Conscious of the implications of her talk, she cannot control what she says because there doesn’t seem to be an internal censor to filter her comments. Having been raised in a family accustomed to living outside the law, this behavior makes perfect sense. To us, it’s brazen and ridiculous. Keep up the good work, Art!

Evening Art,im waiting for news about Little Haliegh.Lord knows i hope the get to the bottom of this.An that this child can be found alive,if not at least found for closure.So the families,strange as they seem to us,can finaly know what happened to this baby girl.

WHO BIT HALEIGH?
I’m sure ‘the wounds’ have been sized up and ‘those’ forensics were done long ago. I typed that a while back and going back over ‘these threads’ more times than I know ‘I know my comments don’t much count.’
Yet just like ‘the letter,’ we (the public) are not privy to ‘that reality show.’
Hope ‘all the evidence’ has been ‘officially collected and documented’ for more than some ‘Thriller’ ‘TV Court Show’ for some future ‘programming.’
Computers don’t make mistakes, just makes living seem easy, and but for the people who did create them, and now use them, do make mistakes…and this sort of ‘Last Picture Show,’ seems not to about justice for Haleigh…
Even picking ‘juries’ or ‘jurors’ is ‘misfit.’
It’s not about ‘justice’ it’s about ‘man-made law’ and some saying ‘they’re getting slammed with work’ that don’t really do much more than walk with their fingers and tap on keys.

‘The founding principle’ of law…was based on ‘belief’ and ‘con-science’ of something mightier than man, and Mothers and Fathers.
Seems we’re getting dissolved or drawn into some ‘lesser space.’
We all fall short, we all feel exactly the same…and unless we tell the truth and admit our faults, we are no better than.
That ‘worked’ once-upon-a-time…got someone to fess up, although it took me a week. And I didn’t want to know what they did, really…and really could not imagine, but did.
Not nearly so bad as murder, though. So, I doubt Misty would or could ever tell ’cause she knows there’s no forgiveness for that…yet, if she thought there could be?
And Ron left his little girl with a little monster he was screwing, I guess.
And then he married her, and so he could justify that, I guess.
Stranger than fiction, yet what is ‘fiction’ really?
Something we can ‘think’ or ‘cook up’ and call another word.

I dont see how anyone can praise one parent,an put the other down.From all i have read,an heard.Both liked pills.The only difference is.UC set one parent up.An left the other alone.Which we do know her own mother told she took pills/(or a pill YAH RIGHT) after she had went through everything to get her son back.I knowed she would get comfortible.An fail a test.Most long time users do. An 1 pill (loritab) would be out of a persons system.From one day to the next.
Urine test goes off amount taken,an what type drug. Usualy takes 3 to 5 days to get out of ones system according to DR at rehab center.So to fail a test,an refuse another tells me something.I know state will help her,or is helping her.But they need to do a Hair drug test from now on.I goes as far as a yr back on what drugs have been taken by the person.An can clock the tiniest trace in future test.Many big companys require ths test,when appling for work. I just never believed uplifting one,an putting the other down.When both have been at fault.How has she always got her drugs? Same way he did im sure.
I think the whole bunch should have been offered free rehab,many dont go.Because they cant afford it.they do have free places.When one sees someone in such truble.Knowing withdrawls can be so bad,that many run back to using.Because they can take the symptoms of withdrawl.With out help.

On NG they have called Misty the ring leader in the UC bust. After watching some of the video’s I get the feeling that Misty is more of a follower. She seems to go along with others but doesn’t come off like she is the boss. I think she is a child herself and has alot of bad people around her. In one of the UC video’s the pills belonged to Donna Brock, and Donna Brock was in the car when they were sold. Who kept the money? Misty or Donna? In another video where Ron and Misty were in the UC car, Ron had the pills in the back with him to start and then he hands it to Misty. Ron also made a comment to the UC that in two weeks he could come up with enough money to eat them himself. Hmmm

Art, thanks so much for having this site. I wish that there was a simple drawing of where Timmy, Tommy, Joe, Chelsea, and Lindsey were living during the night of Haleigh’s disappearance. It would help to see the location of these people and the “van” that was moved. Did Misty actually Not have a key? Even if she went to take garbage out to the dumpster she would need something to keep the door held partially open. I find Mary’s comment very thought provoking #35. Art- I’m sorry, but I still think there is more to this whole case then meets the eye. I think LE is putting so much focus into Misty, that they are blind to other alternatives. I still say they need to look into Ronald more. HE may have what they say is an iron clad alibi, but I am also sure that if they look closer they are going to find a hole in it. Is Ronald special or something(besides in Nancy Grace’s eyes). We see video tapes of al of Misty’s conversations with her family, what about Ronald? We know he has to at least be talking to “mama”…how come we don’t see any of his conversations? I’m telling you, “Pill Boy” holds answers too, not just Misty !

Art, Have the Mexicans that Nay Nay took Misty & the girl from St. Augustine, to “visit”, ever been looked at by LE? Some people from Crescent City believe there may be a connection…Keep up the good reporting, regardless of what NG has to say about it.

Hey Art ~ I am not a “regular poster” but I am fascinated by all the different comments and theories everyone comes up with and I do blog in when I have something to say. I check The Bald Truth Website everyday and know you have worked hard to keep it going and keep us informed about Haleigh. I never miss JMV and NG(no matter how judgemental & rude she’s become!) You said you wish you had more staff & may try interns this summer – What are the reqirements to be an intern and where do I apply???

Art, Some of us wonder why LE put Misty in St. John’s County Jail and Ronald Cummings in Putnam. Ronald is among his well-known police officers, right? They are the ones he knows quite well, I heard. Does he think he is being protected by buddies? It makes no sense why he is the one in Putnam. Art, do you know why NG doesn’t show those “secret” phone calls of Ronald Cummings? Ronald C. needs to be raked through “hot coals” in the same way as Misty is. Keep up your great journalism, Art.

Whatever the letter says, I am sure she has put just enough truth init to nail someone else. I can bet she hasn’t told the truth about her part in it. I think that she is directly responsible for whatever happened to Haleigh and I believe anyone else involved is an accomplice after the fact. Some people believe Ron had something to with it, and his response has been strange at times. But, in his defense as far as the drugs, I can see how having your child missing and more than likely murdered would cause anyone who had ever had a drug problem to relapse.

Misty is not stupid. Uneducated and unintelligent are very different. She is very calculative…She knows that all her visits and conversations are being recorded and released to the media, the whole family watches every report. She uses this to communicate with accomplices 1&2.
Stating to sister-n-law”It’s hard to talk,It’s gona hurt 2 people” This is her way of letting those 2 people know…You roll on me and I’ll finger you 2 for the whole thing, and guess what? Now if they do roll on her she has this video to fall back on..No, it was them not me, see I told my sister-n-law that I wanted to tell back in March.
For those of you who make fun of this girl and assume she is stupid because she lacks socialization skills..You under estimate her. She will continue to get away with what she has done as long as people assume she is ignorant.

How can I send my idea-tip directly to the police without it being published in a way that the family can also find it?
When people want to win, they don’t show their hand to everyone at the table. I’m not meaning winning for me, but to allow the police to win, that means not showing your hand to the family under question and they are likely watching both NG+JVM and this site and likely Padilla if he has a site and who knows who else.
NG+JVM are in the entertainment business, in large part, but what about a serious tip that would lose effectiveness if the family knows?
How about a web site where I can post the idea where it is not seen by the whole world who has a curiosity about this case which definitely includes whomever is involved.

Nancy Grace has become a real drag. She brags about all the bombshells, jail house tapes and yet every show is like a rerun.

I wanted to see the letter and maybe I am wrong but I thought Nancy said she had the letter or atleast a copy. I thought in Florida they release everything to the public. Will we get to read a copy of this letter?

Art you should have your own show! Bravo!
First, I think everyone in this girls family played a role in her death. Her grandmother, Ronald’s mother, always bailing him out of jail on drug charges. He never had to account for any of his actions. If so, just once, he would not have been trafficking in drugs. Shame on her! Next, Ronald, he used drugs his babysitter, girlfriend/wife/ex-wife used drugs. How could he allow her to take care of his little girl? If he hadn’t Haleigh would be alive. Haliegh’s real mother. She has not photos of her and her daughter. She had to crock a photo of Ronald and Haleigh to make it look like she had one. Shame on her. I don’t think we will ever get to the truth of the matter. We know we can’t trust Misty. I prayed for Haleigh and God answered my prayers, she is definitely in a much better place!

It has ben a while since the police and search teams were at the St Johns River collecting evidence and I haven’t heard any news on what they may or may not have found. Any insights on that? Just curious.Cat
