A high profile child finder and veteran of 1,100 missing persons searches, including Haleigh Cummings tells The Bald Truth that he believes the missing six year old is dead, and chances are slim her body will ever be recovered.

“I hate to say it, but there’s no possible way I think she’s alive,” Tim Miller, founder of Texas Equusearch, said in a phone interview with me Monday, taking a break from an unrelated search in the Nevada desert.

He’s not basing his words on hard evidence, but a lack of it, pointing to the “flunked” polygraph he arranged for ex-Haleigh stepmom Misty Croslin, recently divorced from Haleigh’s father, Ronald, and what law enforcement calls “consistently inconsistent” statements about what happened to the little girl she reported missing Feb. 10. Misty Cummings Monday night 911 call to report she’s hurt, purse snatched in robbery

The Bald Truth has obtained a copy of the new 911 call Misty Cummings made to police Monday night, Oct. 18, after she was robbed and injured fighting off three unidentified men she says yanked her out of a car and stole her purse, along with purses of two other young women she was with. After scarfing down takeout from Taco Bell in Palataka, Florida, a ravenous Misty Cummings Tuesday swore she didn’t know what happened to the five year old she was babysitting, Feb. 9, a month before she married the child’s father, Ronald Cummings.

“I said, ‘Misty, even if it was an accident, and you just admit it, or know something, anything, tell the police, and you won’t have to spend life in prison like they’re saying you will if they ever arrest you,’” Hank Croslin, Sr. tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview. “We’ll be there for you no matter what.

“But if you know anything, I wish you’d tell me so we could all move on.’ And she said, ‘Daddy, I’m telling you the truth. I just woke up and Haleigh wasn’t there…’ Read the rest of this entry »

According to Palataka bail bondswoman Donna Jaquith, Hank Croslin put up the $1,100 fee to spring his wife. Earlier, in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, Hank told me he’d been trying to raise the money to get her out for a couple of weeks now, and was able to finally borrow the balance of $800 he’d carried from Tennessee to Palatka.
