Ronald Cummings, Misty, Questioned in Road Rage Run-in

Ronald Cummings, the father of missing six year old Haleigh Cummings, has been questioned about an alleged road rage run-in with a local Putnam County man under investigation for making harrassing phone calls to his ex-wife, Misty Croslin, the 17 year old babysitter he married a month after she reported his daughter missing almost a year ago.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Cummings was driving a pickup truck that hit another vehicle on Wednesday night on a county road in Welaka, a small community near Satsuma, where he was living with Misty when Haleigh vanished last Feb. 10.
JaxNews4 reports “the rear of Cummings’ pickup struck the front of Charles Jones III’s vehicle. Deputies said Jones told them Cummings stuck a gun out his window and said, “I will kill you.”
According to the police report, deputies said Cummings, 26, and his ex-wife, Misty, said they were riding back to his trailer to pick up clothes she’d left behind before their divorce, when Jones’ tried to run them off the road. Cummings denied he was carrying a gun, and kept the one he did own locked in a gun case at home.
Jones claimed he was the victim of Ronald’s road rage; the incident reports were sent to the state attorney for further investigation.
Lt. Johnny Greenwood said in a press release the incident was not related to their on going investigation of the missing child, and that Misty remains key to the probe for questions police say she’s failed to answer satisfactorily.

Art, I am glad to see that you are still on top of this case. I check this site everyday to see if anything new comes up.It has been quite for a while, but I see Ronald and Misty are still scremming together. They are not going to get to far from each other because they are afraid one will tell on the other. They both know a lot that they are not telling the police. I hope someday we will know the truth. Thanks for keeping us informed and God bless little Haleigh.

Sounds like a set-up. Ronald Cummings is alot smarter than that.
Why on earth, when he is already a “target”, would he be an instigator in an allegeged “Road Rage” incident ? At a time like this, during the Holidays, is NOT when someone feels like picking a fight…..NOT when you have “lost” a child. Its a time for reflection, racking your brain for any more information that might help find her and trying to stay out of trouble, so you can “focus” on finding her. Ronald was probably hoping that Misty might remember something and with it being the Christmas Holidays and New Years Eve, a time of New Beginnings is a great time for Misty to set the record straight with any new information she might remember now. Holidays especially Holy ones can do alot for people trying to right a wrong.
Anyway, I think the Road Rage was the other way around. I think Mr. Jones was up to no good and targeting a man full of unspeakable heartache.
Perhaps he thinks he has a good reason for this. Maybe, Mr. Jones has some heartache baggage of his own and he feels that Misty is guilty and he is trying to force her to tell what she knows about Haleigh. In his own mind, he might be “saving Haleigh” and is willing to do so by any means possible. Its not a Liscense to do things like Road Rage, etc. though.
This little angel Haleigh, has touched alot of hearts and alot of people are hurting for her and her family.
Just my opinion, for what its worth.
Thanks again Art, for keeping us all up to speed on this. Its nice to know, that not all of the news media has “forgot” a lost little girl, what with all of the other “News-Worthy” stuff going on.

When a incident is reported about the cummings or croslin press release said it been said again and again the incident was not related to their on investagation of the missing child and misty remains the key.
this report about Ronald Cummings hitting another vehicle and pulling a gun out the window qoute i will kill you, why is Ronald carrying a gun in the past present,Tim Miller Stated ronald took him to the room and Demostrated showing the assault riffle stated if he ever hear misty had anything to do with it he going to blow misty teeth behind her head. its my opinion again could it be drugs or gun Possesion could have had Haleigh vanish.[i.m.o.]

Not sure what to make of this report, but it’s known Ron has a temper, and he and Misty together is like a bomb waiting to explode.. Road rage makes sense to me, but I’d have to know more about the incident to say who the guilty party is…

So let’s try to think of the most logical scenario, imo anyway. Misty is coming off a three day drug binge when Haleigh comes home from school, at this point her and Ron have been fighting, she may be going through withdrawal, and is definitely getting antsy from the drugs leaving her body. The pull to get a fix is very high and most polydruggies (more than one drug at a time) use alprazolam, and a lot of it. One BIG side effect of alprazolam in high doses is amnesia while under the influence. So let’s assume she was doing oxycodone, alprazolam, and probably alcohol and marijuana. She had to take the kids with her, which probably made her very angry, or she had to have someone come over and hang out with her at the house. Looks like the folks in that area have many drug connections so it isn’t hard to find it. What does a 17 yr old girl have to offer for drugs? If we are to believe Jr she exchanged sex for drugs on the couch. I have a feeling the adults passed out and Haleigh got into the drugs that were left out. If you’ve never seen oxycodone look it up, the pills are brightly colored and resemble candy in a way, a child her age would definitely NOT know the difference. Also note that when people polydrug, they tend to pass out without warning rather quickly and teens like these are notorious for doing large amounts to “show off” their tolerance. I think Misty passed out, Haleigh accidentally overdosed on drugs that were left out, Misty woke up from her slumber and found the child dead. She couldn’t call 9-1-1 because they would do toxicology tests on her and Misty for sure would get charged with something and go to jail. So she has 1/2 hour maybe, since that is when she claims she realized Haleigh was “gone” and very easily could’ve arranged for removal of the body which may have ended up in the trash bin and later removed and taken to another location. I suspect her parents/family/family friends probably helped her because they don’t want their loved one to go to jail, and they figure it isn’t her fault as an accident, although it is. I believe she sincerely doesn’t remember at all as she has stated because of the large amount of alprazolam she took. She just found the aftermath and cannot fess up now. Interviews after she used past tense verbs like “loved that little girl” (did she ever say her name?) She seemed more scared and confused probably because it all happened quickly while she was comatose from the drugs. Her story doesn’t add up and kept changing, they didn’t find anyone else’s fingerprints on the door from what I understand and she is the only logical person to have knowledge of this little girl’s fate.
I truly believe she is no longer alive, at one time I thought she was kidnapped for a drug debt but I think they would’ve figured that out by now. Her behavior and psychological responses to the questioning don’t show extreme sadness for a child in her care that she “loved” being missing but remorse and shock that it happened as well as fear but only for herself. Seems like she tries to convince herself that she had no complacency. Her friend even said she needs to stop talking so much. I know everyone grieves differently but I was a teen mom stuck in the house all day with my kids, I didn’t use drugs but it really wore me down. By the time my husband got home from work I HAD to get a break. To have children that are not my own thrust upon me by a man I am dating when I would prefer to go out and party would probably make me very resentful and I would make the bad decision to do the drugs in front of the kids thinking “I can handle it, they’ll be fine”.
I doubt we’ll ever know for sure unless the person who brought her the drugs was there when Haleigh died. He may have left when Misty passed out, why stay and risk Ron coming home when he can go make more money or party harder. He got what he wanted. Misty’s memory has been erased by the alprazolam. I know this can happen because I was put on it once for sleep and apparently I tried to drive a car with my boyfriend because he asked if I wanted to go somewhere after I had taken it and I didn’t remember saying yes or even getting ready to go, driving the car, which he stopped me from doing because I went so slow and brought me back home. I woke up on the couch with him and thought everything was normal. I had no idea at ALL what happened. I also am studying to be a nurse and can tell you that if Haleigh did ingest oxycodone as if it was candy and took a bite out of it, even if she spit it out oral absorption begins rather quickly, since druggies usually use the strongest 80mg tablet it is equivalent to approx. 240mg of oxycodone. So a small child who you would give maybe 2.5mg of oxycodone to for a safe dose for pain (after surgery and stuff they do) to bite an 80mg tablet of oxycodone, even if she spit some out, there is a high probability her body absorbed a larger dose than the safe dose which will cause respiratory depression and eventually cardiac arrest from the lack of oxygen. The other possibility is she gave her too much diphenhydramine to sleep and that caused the overdose. If she was high it would be hard to measure properly the dose, if she even bothered to do that at all.
I hope they find her body and I would think to search where her mother, father, brother, and anyone close to her traveled the immediate 48 hours after the incident, maybe rural family properties for fire remains or fresh graves, etc. Ron certainly didn’t know what happened because he would’ve called her out immediately and told them to take her ass to jail. His daughter def is more important than Misty, even if he is a pretentious jerk.
Other than that I don’t think anyone will know, it is possible that the letter was a partial truth about the oxycodone but the person who wrote it was there and didn’t want to implicate himself so he added things that were false but hoped they would pick up on the main problem, Haleigh ingested a lethal dose of oxycodone.
We can pray that her soul moves on happily into the light but statistics aren’t on her side for being alive. At least she is with goodness and love and doesn’t have drugs surrounding her, she knows true happiness now. Maybe she can help solve it, I’m not sure. But there is something, somewhere. Dirt on tires or under body of cars, hair or other biological material that contains DNA, basically every family member needs their vehicles combed through for evidence. Look for new construction and concrete, maintenance in the crawl spaces of the houses and trailers, anything that may have seemed “normal” but could potentially have been used to lay the child to rest.
I think fields are the best place to look, on a relative or friend’s property that either farms or has some kind of convenient place to place a small child. Fresh concrete, graves, old wells, anything that might be overlooked as background “normalcy”. She must be found and justice should be done, either way Misty should be charged with negligent homicide (or some charge that is equivalent) because I doubt she meant to do it but it happened because she was too selfish and needed to get high instead of take care of those kids.

Surprise, surprise, these two are back together again! How he, the supposed grieving father, could even consider having anything to do with his “teenaged bride” is beyond me. Whatever happened to Haleigh only Misty knows for sure yet Ronald keeps going back and forth with her which defies speculation.
For Junior having to live under these circumstances with these two morons as guardians of his welfare just underscores the fact that he undoubtedly will grow up with the same lack of values they impose.
Haleigh is gone and will never be coming back yet these two behave like it is just a game between them. It is beyond logical that after almost one year the police are no closer to discovering the truth than they were when this first happened. Sad.

IMO this Jones is not stable and should be taken very seriously as a stalker. IMO The Police are failing in this situation by not placing an order against him. Failing to do so could be construed later down the road as their deliberate selective Policing and if anything happens to Misty or Ronald it could land the Police as payees of a law suit. The LE needs to stop this no more BS confessions no more selective Policing. For the sake of Haleigh and her right to Justice this man and LE needs to understand everyone has to follow the rules so nothing can come back to hit the Crowns case out of the field. This is about Haleigh not this mans delusional desire for his out of control revenge this is no time for Police to have emotions and personal feelings leading their choices. Please for the sake of this child’s right to Justice will everyone doing this knock it off!!!

So they are hanging out again, hope he gets info out of her to find his daughter. I find it hard to believe that she knows nothing. I dont understand why the police did not arrest Ron on terroristic threats alone, how do these people keep getting away with breaking the law down there???
I have a few questions for you Art that have been bugging me,
1) Is it true that Cobra ran into a girl in a bar who told him Misty was not home that night and that they all were at a party and a threesome took place and that haeligh was there too? (thats just sick by the way) (this would go along with what the jailhouse letter guy relayed to LE, thus making his story seem more credible).
Poly–Not Cobra, that’s what Tim Miller told me long ago and he passed it on to law enforcement; my sources tell me they ran down the so called party girls and witnesses, and that a sex party did happen–only it was NOT the night Haleigh vanished. If she was at such a party that night, no credible witness has come forward to claim he or she saw her there–at least not one that can be corraborated. What has frustrated police all along is they believe they are hot on the trail of such tips, then the Swiss cheese for brains they are quizzing turn out to not remember dates too well, and a day or TV show they often use to remember an event turns out not to have happened on the day they truly believed it did. Drugs have been known to do that to brains, young and old. –Art
2) What was the reason that nay nay ditched her car in the junk yard? or was it someone else that ditched her car there? Im a bit confused as to why she would have done that after Haleighs dissapearance anyway, seems like a major red flag, If LE did take her car out of the yard and do the “csi sh*t” then perhaps they didnt find anything, however, you know as well as I do that that does not mean there is ‘nothing’ there, maybe they need to check her car again. Maybe put some cadaver dogs near it and see if anything happens. Also the guy s house who they were supposedly at that night, check his car too, and anyone else who was there. Im not sure what LE has done or has not done, but I find two different people saying that Misty was not home and at that “threesome party” that night would seem to be credible, why would two people lie about that? Why would the police not poly the people saying this and find out if its true?

Now Art i listen to the 911 call from Misty,as well as Charles.An Charles said he hit Ronalds Truck. LE looked at the front of Charles car an only old damage was on the Car,no new damage,from a new accident.Like the car,an truck striking each other. An then Charls said, Ron was close behind him flashing lights.So how did charles get over those hill,an be able to turn around,an go the other way.Charles also sad he stuck a gun out the window,an cussed him,but then the story grew to he had stuck it out more times than one-an i never heard any cussing on the 911 call. He Passed a law car going 90 What?.I guess he was no where near a station,or any place lit up to stop for help.Come on. Charles said he passed a new police complex-what was that? Surely you don’t believe everything you read–or misread. If that’s what she said, I don’t believe that’s what she meant, and if she did, she’s wrong. My intent is to be fair and accurate. I reported what could be documented from reliable sources, and if a lawyer isn’t going on the record or refuses to confirm, for obvious reasons, a client’s drug use or misuse, and I haven’t seen it first hand, or have police or court records to back it up, you may read it elsewhere as rumor, but not here. We tried to stay focused on the missing child, and any clues to that, not the sideshows. We did report the cocaine use she mentioned in court at the custody hearing. Later, her lawyer went on the record about her drug use, but only after she was fired…Ok.
So Haleigh had far from perfect parents. But if you look at all the piling on that was and is still going on, none of the fingerpointing at Ron or Crystal has yet to finger the kidnapper, or killer.
Misty remains the key person of interest to law enforcement, and they have ruled out Ronald as a suspect, and Crystal. Look at all the people pumping up the rumor her family took Haleigh…how many hours of hot air were wasted on that? Or that Ronald’s family has her stashed…
Nothing shocks me about this case any more, except the legions of people with nothing better to do than spin it in the weirdest ways. Art

It seems that anger is a primary characteristic in Ronald Cummings. Althoguh he himself isn’t considered a suspect, this could be a substantial roadblock in Misty not “telling all she knows” regarding Haleigh’s disappearance, seeing as how he’s already stated that he would “kill her” if Misty was even remotely responsible. Obviously, this additional “roas rage” incident with Misty present would only add to her fear of retaliative bodily harm. Couldn’t (or wouldn’t) LE LE be able to ensure that this wouldn’t happen in order to entice Misty into talking? Have they done so already? Please let me know.
Also, thank you for all you have done to keep Haleigh in everybody’s minds. I’m a Federal Correctional Officer living in Wisconsin, and I’ve been following all of the twists and turns of this case since February 10th of last year, not because it interests me from a legal standpoint, but because my heart aches for Haleigh. Every time I look at her picture, see her bright eyes so full of life and her brilliant, angelic smile that radiates contagious happiness, it brings me to tears. Not a day goes by that I don’t pray for her safe return, however remote such may be. So please, if you can, please let me know what the latest updates are regarding the investigation, or just let me (and the countless others like myself) if LE is still no closer to find her. Thanks again for all of your tireless work – without you, there would be little chance for Haleigh.

After listening to Misty’s *friend on the 911 call, it seems there is much much more to their relationship then , “I just had no where to go”-story Misty told us all on the blog radio show, she graced them/us with her lies, once again she was given a platform to talk out her butt-like we are nieve enuff to beleive her, because well you know, Ronald being an informant and all, he has his own way around the law-that much is apparent, especially when the other driver said, “Ronald will never go to jail-i know how things run around here” “I just past a cop doing 100 in a 45-wheres the damn cops”
not to forget how this dispatcher herd the name of their EMPLOYEE (RONALD CUMMINGS)-his NAME was mentioned and she totally acted like she could not hear a word of what he was saying-she was of NO ASSISTANCE to this guy, constantly repeating herself, she sounded like my cuzzin when she smokes to much herb-forget what she herd two seconds ago.
in my oppinion Ron Cummings is an Informant-hes on the god damn payroll, so no one will look for Haleigh because they already know, they now wish for us to forget about her and move on, i dont think so.

So if Ronald is an informant-all facts seem to point that way-its not like that can publiclly be announced, but look at the facts, this mans use of the law is eye opening.
It was an inside job, the police dont care to find Haleigh as long as Ronald is cool with no one looking either.
it seems like they wanted to give the outward appearance of greif, but to me it looks like they all know, and just want us, the general public to leave.
Seems something creepy going on in this county, its a damn shame, but all the men in blue take care of each other-even if it means covering up a death caused by one of there informants, i mean he and his Mom are on the payroll, thats speaks volumes.

the police let Ronald marry a child bride, one who lost his child…..this SCREAMMS INFORMANT-Ron can do what he wants as long as he wants to.enyplace els in the world both would of been brought up on charges, one for child endangerment, and one for sexual relations with a minor.

Disappointed, I agree with you. I used to trust this site for my news and all the updates on Haleigh but after finding out he was paid by Kim P I started watching his postings and he still slants them against Ron & Misty no matter what they are. The bald “truth” should be the bald BS.

Art, we all know you are honest and balanced. You are even entitled to your own opinion. Ron and Misty make themselves look bad. I believe an altercation began, but Charles Jones did not back down. They were both responsible. They both reported in their 911 calls that they just passed a cop. There was no fear; just male egos being played by Misty. The phone calls on her phone were mainly for Ron;not Misty. Right before Christmas Charles had called police due to Ron harrassing him; at this time Misty was staying with Charles. Charles’s family warned him for getting involved Misty. They said because Charles has a girlfriend they try to act like there is nothing going on between them, but they know better. Misty even said that Charles did not know she was in the truck. If Ron and Misty definitely had two children in the truck with them under 5 like Misty stated in her 911 call and interview with Levi Page Ron should of been charged for child endangerment due to his participation. He passed an officer as stated by Misty in the 911 call, but did not stop and ask for help. He was already at home when police caught up with him so if he did have gun I am sure he already put it away and Misty once again was ready to lie for Ron. Misty has yet to roll over on Ron even though he in private has insinuated Misty has knowledge of Haleighs disappearance. I think Ron has knowledge of where Haleigh is and what has happened to her. He is more afraid of prison than he claims.

It was only a matter of time before some Cummings and Croslins self destructed again. I think LE is just waiting “patiently” for the inevitable next misstep. Ron almost looks amused in his arrest photo and Misty looks like she has been bingeing for days. She is the epitome of walking death and doesn’t look destined for this world for very long. Those deep black shadows under her eyes, the hollowness of her expression and her haggard appearance show me someone on a highway to hell. I have had all sorts of theories about their culpability in Haleigh’s “disappearance” but one thing seems sure; they’re in it together up to their eyeballs. PLEASE DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE OUT OF JAIL! Find the truth!
Is Junior living with Ron? Does Ron still live with Teresa? Can’t CPS take JR. out of that household? Sadly, drugs STILL matter to both of them more than anything else. Can Misty be forced into long term rehab? Hopefully, they won’t be able to make bail and will spend alot of time sitting in jail. Maybe forced withdrawals will shed new light on this sad situation. heard on the news Crystal got custody of the boy….too bad she didn’t have custody a yesr ago….can not beleive the courts can be so nieve! This is so sad…This may not have happened if the biological mom had had custody…………

Hey Art; what is your opinion of Donna Brock. Is she just a “volunteer” or a paid asset of Tim Miller? When Misty needed friends it was only Donna who stepped up for whatever reason she had. If the victim of the “road rage” had pressed charges maybe Misty would start to sweat.
