Exclusive: Cops Tell Misty Croslin Clan, “We’re NOT Going Away!”

When the state police investigator assigned to bird dog Misty Croslin and her family showed up at their home in Satsuma, Florida Tuesday, her sister in law, Lindsay Croslin, recognized FDLE agent Jason Jolicoeur immediately and cracked up laughing.
“I said, ‘You look kinda funny with a bulletproof vest on, you’re usually dressed in such nice clothes,’” Lindsay Croslin tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview. “I was trying to make a joke out of it.”
Only the agent wasn’t laughing, said Lindsay, a recent nursing school graduate, mother of three and wife of Misty’s brother, Tommy. “He said, ‘Is Hank here?’ So I turned around and said, ‘Hank, Jason wants to talk to you,’ and the next thing I hear is Hank saying, ‘Are you arresting me?’”
As the agent cuffed Hank Thomas Croslin, Sr., 41, and lead the patriarch of the tight-knit family away, another agent pulled Lindsay aside, no longer hiding law enforcement strategy, and read her the riot act: that the Croslins would keep feeling a world of hurt as long as Misty failed to cooperate.
Law enforcement maintains she knows more than she’s revealed, and that her conflicting stories have yet to be resolved. Misty maintains her innocence.
“She let me know, that as Misty’s family, we’re the target,” said Lindsay. “She said, ‘I want to tell you, we are not going away. Everything will just get worse. We are on a high profile case and we are not going away.”
“She threatened to keep arresting everyone in the family, then start taking the children away,” said Chelsea Croslin, who has moved to Massachussetts with Misty’s other brother, Timmie, and also maintains the family knows nothing and had nothing to do with Haleigh gone missing. “They need to start looking at the parents again,” she said, referring to Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield. Both have been cleared by detectives, sources say, but both families, and certainly the ex-inlaws, have drug issues in common.
Haleigh’s brother, Junior, now lives with his father; his mother, Crystal, was fighting for custody, until her former attorney, Kim Picazio, said she advised her clients going forward would be unwise, and unethical, after learning in June that Crystal had an on-going prescription drug problem, including a baby named Chloe, born with painkillers in her system. It’s all in Picazio’s response to her former clients bar complaint, thrown out by the Florida Bar Association after an investigation found the complaint frivolous and riddled with falsehoods. Case closed.
Since Misty reported Haleigh missing in Feb., then married and divorced her father, Ronald has gone to jail for fighting, and several Croslins have gone to jail, as well. After police stopped playing their strategy cards close to the vest, they declared their focus to be on Misty and those close to her.
Some say focus is the wrong word. War would be more like it, as police have mounted a quiet, full court press, from Florida to Massachussetts, to Tennessee, where a Croslin cousin lives who was in town the weekend Haleigh vanished, but has not been named as a person of interest so far.
The subsequent string of arrests and charges against the Croslins include Tommy for gun theft; his mother, Lisa, spent several weeks in jail for allegedly forging checks before she bonded out; Tommy again for drug possession after he was found passed out in his car shortly after dropping his son off at the school bus stop several weeks ago, and police found several narcotics in the car, from methadone to oxycodone, that Tommy claimed belonged to his father. That time, he spent the night in jail, charged with possession of prescription drugs.
Sources tell me that investigators notified child welfare workers and a case for possible child endangerment was opened on Tommy; Lindsay says welfare workers stopped by to check on the children and seemed satisified they were safe and well cared for. “I’m not sure where that stands,” said Lindsay.
Then there was the injunction for domestic violence that ordered Tommy to stay away from Misty–until she asked a local judge to drop it so she could go home last week. She’s had no place to live, and the family tells me they are thrilled to have her back, along with another party friend who has moved in, too: Kristina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, who drove Misty on a wild weekend before Haleigh vanished.
After his arrest on gun theft charges, Tommy was held on a whopping $50,000 bond, and released only after revealing for the first time he’d stopped by Ronald’s trailer at 10 p.m. on the night Haleigh vanished, banged on the door and no one answered. He said no lights were on, and no one appeared to be home. But Misty maintained she was there, just sleeping hard after several days of partying. She later said Tommy was lying, probably to get out of jail.
“They must think if they put enough pressure on us, we’ll force Misty into telling what happened to Haleigh,” Lindsay told me. “But we don’t know and I don’t believe she knows anything, either. She’s saying, ‘When all this is over, they are going to know the truth and owe me an apology.’”
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department denied a direct link between Hank Croslin’s arrest for allegedly concealing prescription information from three doctors so he could obtain more pain meds from another was “related to the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings,” in a press release Wednesday, adding investigators had discovered leads to Hank Sr.’s illegal quest for prescription narcotics while investigating what happened to Haleigh. She was last seen by his daughter, Misty, when she was babysitting for Ronald Cummings last Feb.10 and reported the child missing.
Police insist her conflicting stories have yet to be resolved and that she will remain under their microscope until they can rule her out as a suspect, like they did her now ex husband, Ronald, and Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield.
Meanwhile, detectives in the Haleigh Cummings investigation plan to grill Hank Croslin Sr. while he’s in jail, “to determine if he has any knowledge of the events that took place the night Haleigh Cummings went missing,” according to a statement issued Wednesday by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.
“As we have previously reported,” said Lt. Johnny Greenwood, “there are inconsistencies in Misty Croslin’s account of the evening that still need clarification. Investigators have interviewed other family members subsequent to their arrest, or during the course of this investigation, who have also been unable to clarify the events leading up to Haleigh Cummings’ disappearance.”
He had no comment on what police learned, if anything, from talking with Hank. Sr.
But the drug investigation “revealed that Croslin obtained approximately 300 Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different physicians between April and May 2009. None of the prescribing doctors were aware that the others had prescribed the controlled substances. This practice is known as doctor shopping, a third-degree felony” according to the FDLE release.
But in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth two weeks ago, Misty’s father said he believed Misty was innocent, although her mother expressed doubts in a television interview that she might know more than she’s revealing.
And just where was Hank, Sr. the night Haleigh vanished? In a Gainesville, Florida hospital, with his wife, Lisa, by his side, after suffering severe back and leg injuries from a hit and run by a driver with no insurance, said Lindsay. “He’s been in tremendous pain ever since and has been taking medication for that,” said Lindsay.”
“How could he possibly get to the crime scene and hop back in bed like that?” scoffed Chelsea Croslin, “unless he was some magic man.”
His family denies he was doctor shopping and said that physicians with the Family Medical Group in Palatka, referred him to a pain clinic in Gainesville, and that the doctors all knew what he was taking “because they had prescribed it,” said Chelsea. Clinic doctors could not be reached for comment.
“If he did anything, he had no idea it was illegal,” said Lindsay. “He can’t read or write, so anything he may have signed with doctors, he didn’t know what it was.”
Fuming that the arrest happened two days ago and it was a long shot whether they could raise enough money to bond Hank out by Thanksgiving, Lindsay said, “I’m pissed off. I have three children, I’m a good mother, just finished nursing school, don’t do anything wrong. I take my state test in two weeks. I don’t want this to ruin me. I’m not a bad person.
“But it’s making us all look bad. I don’t know what to do, except I do know we will stick by each other because we are a family. We had nothing to do with this. We are not killers. We are not bad people.”

I think Lindsay should take her maiden name back and move out of Florida all together. What medical facility would hire an RN with known ties to a family of drug addicts under investigation in a case where a child has been missing and possibly dead for almost a year. Then again…maybe she’s doing drugs too if hubby Tommy is passed out in his car after dropping their child off at the bus stop. Stupid is as stupid does.

I have to say Lindsay is solid as a rock, and the family is lucky to have her and Chelsea, two inlaws who are doing their best to make sure all sides of the story get told. You can’t blame them for caring about their family, warts and all–they have children to raise and it kills them to see the little ones bullied by kids at school for something they had nothing to do with. We respect the fact they are trying to make sure the press, and The Bald Truth, balance the glare of suspicion on Misty and others with the rest of the story. Hang in there Lindsay.. Good luck on your Nursing exam…How can Dr. shopping happen in 2009..The Pharmacy has computers. Can’t they trace who, and where people are getting multiple drugs? I agree with Chelsea Croslin. “they should look closer at the parents”, namely Ronald…All this arresting going on, it helps the city function financially, but does little good in getting Misty to talk..I am wondering why Ronald hasn’t been picked up for drugs. Did he abruptly stop? Not likely.. Hank Sr. had an auto accident. What’s the excuse for the others taking drugs? (illegal drugs) I think LE is going about this the wrong way, if they are trying to get Misty to talk, which they claim is not the case…The persons who had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance are spending time in and out of jail, while the quilty one/s are having a big Thanksgiving meal surrounded by their families..Something is missing in this tragedy, besides Haleigh..

Welfare workers are satisfied the children are safe & well cared for? That doesn’t say much for Florida Dept. of Children’s Services. IMO a new worker needs to go out there & find out if ANYONE in that house tests clean for drugs. That’s one hell of a lot of nerve to say Hank Sr. didn’t know he did anything illegal; he can’t read or write. First thing the Croslin’s bring up is the lack of education. With all the free time they have, you’d think they’d go to school since they talk of it so often. Yet, they still can read the addresses & street names to buy their drugs. Misty only went to 6th. grade but passed a DL test & can drive. But they are uneducated & ignorant. IMO they had no problem with the reading on the welfare application. Flimsy excuses.Not bad people? What else do you call a father who drives w/child & drugs in the front seat? He also robbed a man. And welfare sees no problem? Well, they better train some of these workers to see the difference between right & wrong, because this sure isn’t it. How sad to defend & stick by “family” when your own flesh & blood are at risk around their own “family”. Sorry, but “good people” would put their children first. They make themselves look bad, no one else. How proud the family must be, to have their own nurse at hand.

She is an enabler, she was with Tommy and had restraining orders on him in Flagler before they were married and had to take him to court for child support. He also had a battery charge in Flagler. Its public record , look it up.
You cant get arrested unless you break the law. She acts like this is all a set up, behave and clean up or the police are going to arrest you , just like any other criminal. And as for the children they should not be around drug addicts even if they are relatives. jmo jmo

Did the Croslins and Cummings meet when Ron supplied the Croslins from his “drug vehical,” the one that Ron was arrested for?
Did Nay Nay move in with the Croslins to be their drug runner/supplier? or to make it easier for Misty and Nay Nay to go on drug/sex binges?
Did Lindsay graudate from RN or LPN school?
Either way please, hospitals, do not hire Lindsay to work Peds or Drug Rehab!!!

First of all if there is charge of medical Fraud as Hank was charged with, Ms Lindsy better be changing her address because the state board of nursing will definitely change their mind about issuing her a license in the state.
Plus the fact that her husband has been arrested and charged with not only drug related charges but also domestic violence charges. She herself was recently in the hospital for having seizures.
This is one of the most dysfunctional families I have ever seen and someone needs to take those children out of there.

You are so right about Lindsay and Chelsea. The family really needs to follow their lead. As far as education and wanting more than drugs. I find it very sad that this man does not know how to read or write. My father had a rough childhood. He has an eighth grade education. My father dropped out in eighth grade to help my grandmother raise her other children. He provided for the family. However, he never got involved with drugs, nor did he compromise his family. Instead he taught his children instead of having a boss, be the boss. Work hard. College was never pressured on us. High school education was the requirement. As horrible as the acts this family commits I do wish they could get it together and prevail. I am not one who likes to watch people just dwindle and go down. This is extremely sad. Really what DCF should do for families. Instead of taking children away automatically. They should give them resources and help them find their way in life. Try to put Hank on the right track with basic reading and writing classes, as well as the rest of the clan. Maybe if someone brought some light to their life, something to look forward to they would set goals. Instead of getting the next high. The more I think about this the more I realize it is us as a society who are wanting to jump the gun. By no means should any child live in this environment. The flipside is how detrimental taking a child away from their home can be. We need to first intervene to help. Then should that fail take more drastic measures. I pray for the family to get it together. I pray for Haleigh. Most of all for the truth.

Lindsay should be praised for going to nursing school to better her life and that of her children, not trashed.Nursing school is not easy, especially when you are a mother with children.I am sure she values that diploma that she had to work very hard to obtain. You dont know what her plans are. I would bet Tommy better clean up his act, or once she has a job he will be gone.

Art, with due respect, I have to disagree with your view of Lindsay and Chelsea. While they be more “solid” individuals than the rest of the Croslin clan, they are in it up to their eyelids. At one time I was married to a man who was an alcoholic and dabbled in some drug use and was on the police radar in our small town. I, on the other hand, held down a full time job which paid well, and tried to make a good home for my family but I finally had to come to the hard realization that my husband was keeping me down and because I chose to stay with him at that time, I made myself look bad. These women are doing the same thing. They are codependent on people who have drug problems and as long as they choose to stay and support them, they run the risk of having bad reputations as well. Guilty by association is a valid assumption and if Lindsay is truly serious about persuing a nursing career and gaining credibility in her life, she needs to rid herself of the sickness she is married into. If not for herself, then at least for her children’s sake. They don’t deserve to be treated like crap b/c their mother chooses to stay in a family riddled with drug abuse and fist fights at 8 in the morning.
Time to break the cycle …. otherwise her own children will turn out to be the same and that would just be a shame.

Everyone in this family, including her husband are doing drugs…and it doesn’t look like any of them are interested in quitting. So how is that good for her kids?

I don’t believe Browning Pearce teachers, guidance counselor, or the principal would allow other children to harass the Croslin children in any way..
Timmy & Tommys wives need to stop worrying about the collective family of Croslins & worry about their individual children & what’s best for them..
Law Enforcement has now given them MORE than a fair warning & that’s more than anyone deserves being that precious Haleigh is a missing child & her location is being kept secret by SOMEONE & that’s not FAIR AT ALL..

Do we do this in our Country. Somehow it reminds me of the Secret Police in days of communism. I know a child is missing but just how far away are we from torture and taking family members away forever? Misty’s stories are inconsistent but I would be more concerned if a 16 year old stories were so consistent that it was being said from rehearsing over and over. I don’t know, maybe this is the way to go and waterboarding is the next route for law enforcement.

IMO Some times people assume the answer is in the for front of someones mind when they may in fact have the answer just not there, honesty to one self can be the hardest thing especially when denial is so readily available. Psychological war fare is exactly what is needed lean right in and don’t back off. I still believe Misty is innocent and we shall see how this goes. Having answers and being guilty can be completely separate.

I thought the same thing; was that a slip when Misty said “They are going to know what happened and owe me an apology?” Kinda sounded like one! (WHO is she protecting?!)
Also, remember when Misty was left in charge of some of the younger ones recently? I wonder if someone knows that Misty is “DEFINITELY” reliable, because of something she has said in relation to Haleigh’s disappearance.(ie; “dont look at me; so and so did or said this earlier,” for example)

To become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), only a high school diploma and training is required. And because the skills required are fairly basic, the program is only 75 hour of classroom and practical training, followed by a state administered evaluation. Once an assistant completes the program he/she receives the title of a certified nurse assistant. A CNA is strictly an entry-level position with little room to advance without further education and training, but a nurse assistant certification gives individuals a chance for experience and an opportunity to see if a career in healthcare is right for them.

I think if they continue with a closed mind to focus only on this family they will never solve this case.Misty has a lot of drug friends who are not family.I cannot understand why they think this family has to be involved. I think there are a lot of possibility’s outside of this family.

Grandpa Crosin doctor shopping. Grandma stealing a friend’s check book. Tommy Crosin driving his son with dubious prescription drugs in the vehicle. He also had a physical fight with with his own father. Misty files for and receives a gainst her brother. Tommy taking a gun from from. Misty was married and divorced at age 17, with her prarents blessings!
It will be interesting to see what becomes of the famy. Will they litigate?

Hey-i been talking to other staff about my theory that Haleigh could be hidding out with distant relatives on Tribal Lands, in one of our makeshift school in one of our free clinics getting madical care, unnoticed, my boss also reminded me that we as Native Americans also have DUAL_CITIZENSHIP, meaning we have governed rights to cross the border into Canada (and vice versa)Its our inherited right, that means free to wonder onto whatever native land that is protected by the Queen. I know my researve takes kids back home all the time from unfit parents from off the reservation,but its done in the court room- its law even if they have never grew up on tribal land, if they have status, they are a number to the Governmant and thats how our education and medical is payed for. The rest of the world would not know, because the rest of the world will never know how our system works, its diffrent across the nation that much i know. My mother took my sister and ran to the states when she was an infant, and left me behind to live in fster care-so we don’t know what goes through these womans heads, i say investigate her heritage and eny ties she may have to any reservation, Dual Citizenship means she can be looked after ENYWHERE. even though Crystal may be a drug addict-i still beleive she may have given her child a second chance by taking her away from Ronald (if my theory were true) Alot of (native) woman beleive the boys should be with the father and daughters with the mothers family-thats custom, and beleife that can not be changed in natice society, its customary and tradition.
but who knows, Ifs shes alive, id like to think she is living well, well better then the mobile home and teen bride drugg dealers she was living with.
Also the Shania Davis story has me thinking it was druggs and Haleigh is gone……sad thought.

I agree with you Mary. LE needs to pick up RC and give him all the tests that Misty took. I think everyone will be interested in the results. Remember, it was RC who refused to help LE. Mark Klass made sure he answered every question that LE wanted an answer to. Why hide if you are innocent? Why act guilty like RC does in his interviews? Watch Greta and the Today show. The Today show had RC and MC on and MC looks like a little girl sitting next to her father. Oh, WAIT that’s not her father …that’s a man that’s keeping his enemies close. Is that why he kisses MC, is that part of his plan?

It was Linseys van that had been moved that Monday night and had scratches and broken lens. Lindsey must be aware of her husbands and in- laws abuse of prescription meds. Only Hank Sr. has a reason to have prescribed meds. They would be in labeled pill bottles; not baggies. It would not suprise me if he was selling some for profit. I believe LE knows whom the perps are and trying every possilbe strategy to get the right ones responsible for Haleighs disappearance.
Ron is now laying low again as he did before for 3 and 1/2 months, until after his altercation with Tommy Croslin alledgedly there to rescue his sister Misty. Ron was arrested and then accused of putting a decapitated rat in Tommys mail box in which the credible Tim Miller said Ron confessed he did it to see how well Misty could lie so he would know what she looked like when she is lying. Well Ron now needs damage control and sympathy to get passed these new charges. Why not plead for his missing daughter in the media to help in his defense.Even though LE has come out and said he is not a suspect in Haleighs disappearance perhaps not directly, but I believe he knows what happened to his daughter, Haleigh.
I am going to stick with Pat Brown criminal profiler, who feels the answers lye with Misty and Ron and as long as they keep their mouths shut we will never know what happened to this precious angel.

How in the world does a 41 year old man not know how to read and write? It just seems crazy to me that in this day and age a man who is only 41 never learned to read and write! No wonder this family is so dysfunctional! I don’t think any of this pressure on Misty’s family will get her to talk though…it is obvious she cares for no one but herself.

Why are LE doing this round-up of this totally dysfunctional family–Lindsay included in this description!–instead of picking up Misty and at the very least charging her with child endangerment/neglect since this little innocent “disappeared” on HER watch??? Per her own words she’d been on a 3 day binge and was “exhausted” (or on a downward spiral of withdrawals, imo) and “crashed” into a deep sleep without hearing a thing going on around her in the same room? BS! And, lying & misleading LE is obstruction of an investigation. Casey Anthony was first arrested on similar charges iirc? I know that MC is not the bio mom however, she WAS in charge which translates to RESPONSIBLE for this child on that night! She was last to have her health, well-being and whereabouts in her hands and somehow FAILED yet does not have to answer TRUTHFULLY for this?
I say give her a few days in a jail cell–this is the only thing I believe will make this girl finally come clean. Her youth has NO bearing on her accountability, tho she denies having any responsibility whatsoever! Give her a taste of where she could wind up for LIFE, maybe she’ll wise up and make a plea deal so she MIGHT have a future–something she is denying little Haleigh while she remains “inconsistent”. Just another word for LIAR.
For the sake of this child LOCK HER UP NOW–stop wasting more TIME and get the answers! This has gone on LONG ENOUGH!

LE has had at leats TWO opportunities to lock her up: the road rage incident and the screwed up drug deal! Her lawyer had dropped her at those points–another chance thrown away to get the truth out of a 17 year old. To think she could out-smart LE is a sickening idea, isn’t it?

I think if the cousin in Tenn disposed of the body it could be anywhere along the way. Its hard to believe that these low lives could hide the body and out smart the police. I keep remembering though the first dogs that came to the scene went to the water. I keep thinking maybe someone came up with a boat. They never mentioned the water again just the dumpster. That water thing keeps popping up in my head.
Wonder if any friend or family member has access to a boat??

I don’t understand how Hank Croslin Sr. can live in the United States and not know how to read and write.
The inlwas need to take their kids and run far from Misty, Tommy, Hank and Lisa. There seems to be no hope for this bunch. They get arrested every week. Well, Misty doesn’t, but then she’s suspected in a child’s disapearence. Lindsay and Chelsea need to move and leave no forwarding adresses. There’s something to be said about family loyalty, but they are putting their children in danger around all of these drugs.

Locking up the Croslin will not make them talk, and especially if they don’t know what happened to Haleigh..If Misty knows, so does another person..Misty is not the main perp, but is keeping quiet to protect the one who did away with Haleigh..Her comment, ” When this is all over, LE is going to owe me an apology” is believable..I think she is too afraid to tell the truth..Deadly harm may have been threatened against her..I wonder why the two people closest to Haleigh, who resided in her residence, are not repeatedly questioned..We know Misty has been, but what about the other? Art has said many times, “Ron has been cleared”, or something to that affect..Understood, but why is he not questioned as often as Misty? Granted, she was the last person with Haleigh, but do we really know who was with her around the time of her disappearance?..Personally, I think they know Misty is not guilty, but she knows who is, and that’s the reason they are staying on her.. Are the Cummings family so lily white they are beyond repeated questioning? There’s no balance here..It’s all about the Croslin family…By the way, a few of you are bashing Lindsay for going to Nursing school..Would you rather she stay uneducated, and poor? Also, one who bashed her for pursuing a Nursing career misspelled a few words in her/his post…Makes me wonder who really needs to go back to school. I am proud of anyone who wants to better themselves. I have tutored the aged illiterate..They are eager to learn, appreciative and humbled..If Hank Sr. had someone who showed interest, perhaps he too could learn to write and read…Criticism is easy..The way to clean up a community, such as Satsuma, is through education, and encouragement for a better life..Low self-esteem breeds a life unworthy.. The temporary high from drugs gives a person feelings of a rosy world..The down side is, besides being illegal, is one is worse off than before, after the high wears off…money lost, and more money needed for the next fix..It’s a vicious circle..Illegal drugs are the root of all evil, and possibly the root cause of Haleigh’s missing.. It is so nice to sit in our warm comfortable arm chairs surrounded by so many staples to assure our safety and security. We are the ones that can look down on these families that are actually in every state and county not only florida. They are uneducated, maybe not homeless but below poverty level. They came from generations of hardworking but deprived individuals. Some may be giving a hand and break the cycle and start building toward a middle class of arm chair detectives some will even go on to hate these poor people or become tv hosts and ruin the whole family’s reputation forever. Some may say, there “but by the grace of God go I”. I hope Haliegh is alive and well or will soon be found but I also hope,comfort can be found by the innocent ones that are being persecuted and justice will be served to the guilty.

Misty failed a polygraph for a reason.
Lindsay should run far from this family and stop defending addicts.
He signed an opiate contract, which is carefully read AND explained, so that even if he is illiterate, he would understand that he cannot seek nor accept any pain medicine at all from any other doctor than his own.
His own kids call him “crackhead” and his substance abuse did not start with the “hit and run accident” but long before. The accident itself is doubtful.
He is an addict and has likely not only gamed the system his whole life, but he and his wife bred and had offspring and no one seems to hold a job.
How do they afford food?

This was what I thought had happened until that letter appeared. I believe that there is truth in the letter—that Haliegh was given meds to shut her up so Misty could continue to party, and died accidentally.
Misty has very good reason to fail a polygraph and it is NOT just to protect someone else. Drug abusers are incredibly selfish and selfserving individuals.
Misty is protecting Misty. Anyone else protected is just incidental.
The “we are not killers” did not get past LE. They know.

To Pat/Ohio: FYI…Misty doesn’t have a driver’s license. In the State of Florida you can’t get your driver’s license until the age of 18 if you drop out of school.

Thanks for doing such a great job ! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving in spite of the sad stories you have reported on. You will be part of the solution and answer to finding Haleigh. Keep the word out for her ! It was good to see you on Nancy Grace giving the update and doing all of the research you do for Haleigh and us your fans, now.
I think that Misty, Tommy, Timmy and cousin Joe know what happened to Haleigh and where she is. This family might hide their pills from one another but I don’t think they would hide their crimes quite so easily. They appear to do the “common crook thing” and thats to always have someone to back up their alibi. An alibi has to have back up. With the arrest records these people have, they are cons and do a pro job at it. They seem to collect favors from one another for future use. Lots of secrets in this family. With their Dad Hank being unable to read or write, they were probably able to skate through school covering their tracks from Dad when they were absent or got into trouble. Look at their Mom. She obviously has years and years of drug usage. Just look at her face ! Thats what Misty is going to look at not to far in the future. Rats stick together, until backed into a corner. Then its all bets off and every rat for himself. The corner would be the point of no return….where they are alone isolated and without the ability to call in favors or at least no favors in the goodie bag that would help. I think that Misty and her Mom, brothers and cousin Joe know what happened. Hank was in a car accident so needed those pain pills and if he cant read that explains how he might end up in the predicament he finds himself in. I think these kids were trained by their Mom and their Dad was left in the dark alot of the time. Just look at the Mom’s face and look at the Dad’s face. This is all in my opinion ofcourse. Nay-Nay is no Innocent either. She’s up to this in her eyeballs, in my opinion.

Well, it appears LE is following the trail of drug abuse, to include abuse of oxycontin. So, is LE putting more stock into this letter that makes reference to Haleigh dieing from an accidental overdose?? Evidently, Misty had access to oxycontin. It is not by accident LE became aware of Misty’s father’s illegal activity with oxycontin!! LE has followed the oxycontin trail, imo, and fell upon this info. Likely her father was selling and abusing the drug. Also, what I continue to wait for is when will LE interview Ron’s mother about her prescription for oxycontin, which she admitted to using during an interview on NG?? Does Ron’s mother even have a prescription for oxycontin, and if not, how did she obtain the narcotic, and how does she know how oxycontin taste like?? Drug abuse does not involve only Misty and her family, but it extends to Ron and his family!!! Oxycontin is generally only prescribed for cancer patients or for patients that just had surgery. Ron’s mother appears healthy and pain free. Why does she use oxycontin??? Oxycontin is a commonly abused prescribed narcotic, and when crushed, will provide a high compared to heroin. The investigation needs to extend back to Ron, Misty, and to include Ron’s family, not just Misty’s family, imo!!!
Don’t get tunnel vision LE!!!! But, no doubt, Misty continues to hold the key to Haleigh’s whereabouts!!!

I wanted to add, that I think, judging by this families past behavior, that mmore than likely they stole their Dad’s pain pills and thats why he was trying to get more. Just look at Tommy. He had the pills with him at the bus stop and was higher than a kite ! Those werent his pills and the only one with a prescription is the Dad. Thats my opinion on it. These kids & their Mom Lisa are nothing bu parasites off of everyone they come into contact with and if that don’t work they just STEAL….remember the gun incident, checks and pills ? Just in my opinion ofcourse.
Thanks for letting us have a forum to express our thoughts on this. Who knows. With all the input from everyone, it might lead to Haleigh. Two heads are better than one…and theres alot more than two heads here. Haleigh has alot of people that care about her and Junior.

In reference to Keefer #36, I think Shanaiya Davis’s Mom, ought to be stoned to death by the public. Not a needle in her arm. Thats too quick and easy for her. IF she did it, that is. Everything points to her, but we shall see.
It might be a deterrent to other Mommy, child killers !
All this is my opinion and I have alot of it when it comes to kids being hurt !

Bannah…. well irresponsibility was a way of life in the Ronald Cummings household. Ronald would get home from work,sometimes he stayed up long enough to get Haleigh off to school, except for the days Misty did it, then he would go to bed. On the days Misty took Haleigh, when Misty got back, by her own admission, she said she would go back to bed also…with those words said…Daddy is sleeping, Misty goes back to sleep…WHO is watching little Jr ?? It is simply amazing that by the Grace of God, nothing happened to that poor little boy ! They allowed people like Nay Nay to be around the children, Misty and Ronald were always popping pills. yup that is sure one responsible household !! And DCF sees “nothing” wrong with this??
HAs anyone ever seen the show “The Oxycontin express”? It is a true story, maybe you should,(Google it, and you can watch it on hulu) I did, and there was a guy, who was sitting outside waiting for the people who “flew” into Florida for their “drugs”,(thus the name for this flight, “Oxcycontin express” these poeple who waited outside were buying pills from the ones who had acquired their illegal prescriptions…

Keefer, you make a very good point !! Ronald and Misty were both so into taking pills, smoking marijuana, and drinking, Human Trafficing sure sounds like it could be a very good possibility ! Ron took downers(pain pills, xanax, etc most of the time, and I understand he took some type of speed at night to get him through his shift at work. The money to acquire all of these drugs for him and Misty had to come from somewhere, he cried poverty most of the time. They have this kind of history, and yet Crystals attorney Kim P. dared to tell her client to go for custody at this time might not be wise, because of Crystals “PAST” addiction to perscription drugs, and some were found in her baby Chloe’s system when she was born? I thought they proved that story was a bunch of crap? Besides, obviously they didn’t take her child away from her…yet Ron and Misty are up to their eyeballs in drugs and booze, so are Misty’s parents, and Ronald’s dear old mom, THEY can keep Jr???? INSANE !! Just as in the Shaniya Davis case….DCF MESSED up, and unless they better do something right for a change and stop being lazy, blind and stupid, they better rescue little JR. before he becomes the next tragedy !!

Its plain to see that their focus is on other things besides the whereabouts of an innocent little girl (that is either dead or in horrific dangerous place). Where are the cops?? What’s up Art?? The local public should not be tolerating almost a year with no arrests and no leads. LE has a responsibility to the public and when a child is gone, and there is no body, that means there is a predator out there and others are at risk. Somebody is not doing their job and a criminal walks free.

I say arrest MC for obstruction of justice. She accepted the responsibility of the care of these children. In most states, once a female is married, she is no longer considered a “youth”, but a married WOMAN and an adult. Did I understand correctly that Misty Cummings and her exhusband quarreled because she wanted to keep other children? She couldn’t even keep TWO.
It also seems strange to me that Ron Cummings has been arested on drug charges several times and the charges dropped. Why, do you think, that happened? I find it hard to believe he is an informant. His only talent seems to be getting young girls addicted to drugs and pregnant.
He needs to be sterilized.
It upsets me when Crystal is treated badly by Nancy Grace. She has never been tricked and trapped in an abusive marriage, legal or commomlaw. I have. My exhusband tried that same stunt on me. There were no drugs or alcohol involved. I won and I understand what Crystal went through.
Fear is a terrible thing.
I believe Misty’s family should be left alone, unless it is for their own misdeeds. They should go for Misty for OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.

What the heck ? Im still in moderation ? Thats a relief really, because when I saw there weren’t any other posters I was getting worried. I thought maybe the coverage and concern for Haleigh had slacked off.
I know theres alot of stuff going on in the News right now, thats Newsworthy too.
The thing about Haleigh is, theres the possibility she is still alive and the Law Enforcement can still save her, and bring her home.
Whoever knows where she is, for crying out loud, at least drop an annonomys letter into the mailbox to the Police and lead them to her. Wear gloves if you’re that scared. Have some guts and do whats right. Until you do, the LAW will HAUNT you and HUNT you and they will do right by Haleigh one way or another. She has WON the HEARTS of AMERICA.

why doesn’t LE just cut to the chase:
Put a drug raid on the Croslin household. Arrest all and drug test all family members. In the event that Misty’s drug test comes up positive (I find it unlikely it won’t), charge her with narcotics trafficing, then cut a deal with her provided, she is willing to take another polygraph with more specific ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions:
1) Was Haleigh alive at 5 pm?
Has Haleigh ever ingested drugs not perscribed to her?
2) Was Haleigh alive at 10 pm?
3) Did you leave Ron Cumming’s trailer that night?
4) Was Haleigh with you when you left the trailer?
5) Was Haleigh alive when you left the trailer?
6) To the best of your knowledge, did Ron Cummings kill Haleigh?
7) Did you kill Haleigh?
9)Do you know where Haleigh is?
10) Did you dispose of Haleigh’s body?
11) Did a person or person(s) you are aquainted with dispose of Haleigh’s body?
12) Was Haleigh diposed of in a body of water?
13) Was is X body of water? Y body of water?, etc.
Misty knows what happened, as the Texas Equusearch test results clearly indicate. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why LE does not pose more specific ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions when polygraph her to get to the truth. Then LE can follow-up on the new info to uncover new evidence.
If Misty is truly innocent, she should not mind taking such a polygraph.

When Misty says LE is “going to know the truth and owe me an apology.”, this strongly implies that she knows something more about the truth than she has told them, or at least has deep suspicions. The only reason I can see why she would not share this information would be to protect a family member(s). Misty may feel technically “innocent” if she was not physically present and directly involved in the abduction. But if she has awareness, she is peripherally involved. LE is on the right track to focus on and pressure this family. I think time is on the side of LE.
P.S. Art, isn’t the correct spelling of Tommy’s wife’s name “Lindsy”?

They are all waiting for court dates and I believe they are all looking at doing some time for their crimes. Misty and Lindsy are the only ones not looking at court dates. As long as they are on bail they can not leave Putnam county,this is a good thing because otherwise I believe they all had plans on leaving town. I think Misty learned to keep her friends close and her enemies closer from Ron.
That is why she is back in Satsuma, to keep everyone quiet and silent about what happened that night. LE will get the job done eventually, someone had to have messed up somewhere and LE just needs to put more pressure on these people imo.

I think LisaE poster #64, has a great idea for a new lie detector test. Her list of 13, yes or no questions are very clear and precise. I hope LE takes a look at them.
Art you have alot of supportive people on here that are very smart and have wracked their brains and searched their hearts trying to come up with ideas to input on here, to find and bring little Haliegh home.
Thank you again for your reporting. You are so honest and fair, and yet you present things in such a way as to always embrase compassion, both for the people you report about, Law Enforcement and your posters. You are a true Gentleman. Thank you again. I so hope little Haleigh comes home soon. I feel so bad about little Junior. I too think it’s possible the father could have been involved.Maybe he set it up,for some off the wall reason that even the police and or detectives haven’t thought about.Just because he was at work doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what happened that night.God knows he was sure on the phone a lot,when he was supposed to be working,and if he was so concerned during his phone calls,why? Did he remain at work and even stay to work extra hours that night?Strange behavior for a loving and concerned father

It’s hard to say any more what happened to little Haliegh, I want to point fingers at this one and at that one but I don’t really know. I feel like Misty knows more then she’s telling then I also feel like Ronald knows alot as well. I think they are both to blame. Him for leaving his children with a child who was hung over from a weekend of hard parting, and fighting with her after she came back. And with her for comming back and taking on that responsabilty of caring for the babies and not feeling like it.Plus Ronalds mother who came over to bring them cloths that evening she was there earlier she should have seen and felt something not right going on unless she was Hmm wasted JMO. I have been Praying Haleigh will be found and soon well before now but now I am begaining to think this will be a cold case file. She will be a face on a milk carton, newspaper or some where else saying ” Have You Seen ME?” Here it is going on close to a year now an not much closer then they was afew days after little Haleigh went missing. I guess all they can do is to keep digging,poking,proweling,and asking the same ole questions until someone or some thing gives. I just hope that LE just doesn’t focus on this one family even tho they look guilty as sin there is a chance they are not. Only with the drug misuse may be all they are guilty of, they may not of had any thing to do with Haleigh’s disapprence at all. JMO And of corse stealing I forgot that sorry.
Lets Keep Little Haleigh and Little Junior in Our Prayers

Do you think little Haleigh is still alive, in your opinion ? What does the Law Enforcement people lean toward ?
I still think that there’s 2 men involved and that Misty is involved. She may not know everything, but she does know something.
She is so young Art. Misty has her whole life ahead of her, but this will change everything for her. I think its a detour and wrong turn she didn’t even see coming.
I know what little Junior wants for Christmas. I wish there was some way to make him happy again. Poor baby. He & Haleigh are on my heart and in my prayers, & so is their family. May God be with them all. May God be with you too Art. Take care. You’re in my prayers.
