Exclusive: Misty Croslin Dad, Hank, Busted for Drugs

The Bald Truth has learned that Misty Croslin’s father, Hank, was arrested Tuesday in Satsuma, Florida, and charged with fraudulently obtaining prescription medications, a felony. “They said he was ‘doctor shopping,’” a family member told us before we obtained and posted the law enforcement press releases below.
About 45 minutes ago, records show, he was booked into the Putnam County Jail (at 7:09 p.m.) on $7,500 bond. The Croslins are scrambling to raise $750 or 10 per cent, hoping to bond him out by Thanksgiving.
Hank told me recently he still takes prescription narcotics for back pain he suffered in a car wreck days before his daughter, Misty, reported Haleigh Cummings missing, and anti-anxiety medication for panic attacks.
Sources tell me he allegedly concealed one doctor from another, to be able to obtain multiple prescripions for narcotics from physicians, the same thing the late pop star Michael Jackson did for years. He denies the charges.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office today arrested Hank Thomas Croslin, Sr., 41, of Satsuma, Fla. for doctor shopping.
During the Haleigh Cummings investigation, law enforcement received information alleging that Croslin was fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs.
The investigation revealed that Croslin obtained approximately 300 Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different physicians between April and May 2009. None of the prescribing doctors were aware that the others had prescribed the controlled substances. This practice is known as doctor shopping, a third-degree felony.
Croslin was arrested at his home at 116 Tyler Street in Satsuma, Fla. and charged with withholding information from a practitioner. He was booked into the Putnam County Jail.
Five-year-old Haleigh Cummings was reported missing on Feb. 10. FDLE continues to assist the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in the missing child investigation.

maybe I am becoming cynical, but this seems like small potatoes compared to the overall issues in this case.There are so many illegal drugs being sold on the street in this area, why cant they make an arrest and take some drug dealers to jail instead of a man who gets a duplicate presciption. The bond is also ridiculous.

WOW!! Wonder where they’re going to come up with this bond? He can deny all he wants but LE more than likely already has the evidence to support their charges against him. It really is ashame that after everything that has gone on and a beautiful missing Haleigh these folks continue to live the same sordid lives as they did before she went missing. He really needs to stay in the slammer so he can have some time to figure out what he is truely thankful for other than staying baked all the time. I can understand needing meds for pain, but these folks are addicted and abuse them. I guess since Misty and Ron are divorced now he had to resort to doctor shopping since Ron no longer supplies him from his pocket.People like this need alot of prayers. Maybe he can enlighten LE to Haleighs whereabouts, but I doubt it. Please LE bring Haleigh home.

How is it this family is able to keep coming up with the money to pay the bond to get out of jail?? With all the drugs that are going around within this family.. which little Haleigh and her brother Jr. were around.. it makes me wonder if somehow drugs weren’t involve with Haleigh missing.

Where do these idiots get the money to afford drugs in the first place? No one seems to have an actual job to speak of yet they all seem to be able to buy whatever their drug of choice is without a problem.
This is a family that is nothing more than bottom feeders. Uneducated, uninformed, unreliable, unrepetent, and unbelievable. A freaken mess!
When not out buying the drugs they spend a good portion of their time bailing one another out of jail. Amazing!

Even with all the media exposure this family has endured, they do not possess the ability to stay within the laws of our land.
Yet, Misty is still uncharged in the disappearance of Haliegh.

I hope he sits in jail till he rots. You can bet he was selling those extra oxicodones. Thats why NayNay and all were there on the day Tommy got arrested. Why are the kids still with these people? Are they waiting for a tragedy or what. Lindsy needs to boot out the whole bunch so she can keep her kids.jmo

Maybe that really was Hank’s drugs in the family van that Tommy was taking Austin to the bus stop. That could be the reason for the fight that put Tommy back in jail. Who knows anything with these people. I just know that they should not be allowed to have a dog, much less a child in their possession.

IMO I really think the LE robbed theirselves of a grand oppurtunity when they had Hank JR in Custody with that high bond. Had they left theirselves open to the possibility that another version of events may have transpired and refused to accept what they wanted to hear and only what they needed to hear a conclusion may be far sooner than it presently is. I say hike SR’s bond right up there and don’t take a story of what is wanted to be said rather take the truth. This arrest gives credit to Misty’s claim that her parents in the past spoke out publicly only after she refused to give them prescription drugs, I totally believe her on that one now. IMO Some where in this family is an answer to what transpired that evening Haleigh went missing. As for DFS investigating children in or around this family “Chelsea, Hank’s and grandma” no children should be around them. Certainly Mental and emotional neglect should be grounds for removal even if the children do not show physical signs of abuse, allowing the children to remain in this environment and in the care of a person/persons that allow children to be exposed to this is abuse/neglect. The charges against Ronald should be dropped I would not believe a word that came out of either HANK’s mouth and quite honestly I don’t blame him and this arrest shows why the parents acted as they did.

To “P J”…you asked where they get the money for drugs…it is called pimps and prositution!!!
And to “They Call Me J” if the children were taken away where would DFS put them?…nowhere in Satsuma that is for sure. I don’t think there is a household in the county that is not drug riddled including the Cummings!!
Most likely the Croslin home with Tommy, Hank, Misty, Lisa, Lindsay and now Nay Nay is one of the better families in Putnam county!!

Hank was doctor shopping between April and May 2009. Ron and Misty were married then. Art posted an article on April 27, 2009 that said Hank accused Ron of trying to poison him with painkillers.

IMO, Hank poisened himself and tried to make Ron the fall guy. Look at the dates and the amount of pills Hank was busted for.

What a shame…drugs wasted on youth and youth wasted on drugs…when don’t you know it, near the end of days when you ache all over, or your pet does, then all that money down the drain and you will not then be able to afford some comfort for those that need.
Those darn, pharms, and docs…and our great government seems so lowly to me these days…just trying to make an all mighty buck…
