Exclusive: Misty Croslin Family Fist Fight; Brother Tommy Jailed!

Two days after Haleigh Cummings stepmom, Misty Croslin, dropped her domestic violence injunction against him, brother Hank Thomas Croslin, Jr., aka Tommy, 23, was back behind bars Thursday before noon, arrested and charged with one count of domestic battery –this time for allegedly fighting with his father, Hank, Sr.
No bond was set, which is customary with a domestic violence charge. “They just called me and told me, ‘Tommy got out of line, that they were fighting and Tommy went to a jail,” sighed sister in law Chelsea Croslin in an interview with The Bald Truth. “Nobody really knows what the argument was over. All I know is they called me and said, ‘Tommy’s back in jail …”
Croslin is scheduled to appear before a county judge Friday, Nov. 20, but it’s unclear if law enforcement will request a sky high bond, like the whopping $50,000 set on a gun theft charge that was lowered only after he recently revealed a shocking twist in the missing child case—claiming Misty didn’t answer when he banged on her door about 10 p.m. the night Haleigh vanished, and didn’t appear to be home. No witnesses have placed her elsewhere, and she insists she was home – sound asleep.
A high bond would suggest detectives want to sweat Tommy while they have him, to see if any more information falls from his pockets.
In a police report that reads like another episode of Satsuma Meets Springer, we go ringside Thursday morning. It’s 8 a.m., breakfast time — Misty’s second day back home with family in rural Putnam County, Florida, since she slapped Tommy with a domestic violence charge for fighting with her now ex husband, Ronald Cummings—then, Tuesday told a judge she was no longer afraid of him, sources tell us, and asked that the injunction against him be dropped.
Bouncing between friends in Satsuma, Jacksonville and family in Tennessee, she’s had no place to live since Ronald divorced her, and as she took in the breakfast scene, must have wondered about her logic of coming home to Mama Lisa, recently out of jail herself on theft charges, and Daddy Hank (who’d accused her ex of trying to poison him with bad pills) — two parents ly nicknamed “crackheads”) who said publically they doubted she had told police everything she knew about Haleigh’s disappearance, but still loved her. Misty fondly calls her parents “crackheads.”

In one corner, looking “flushed…(his) left eye swollen:” an angry brother, Hank Thomas Croslin, Jr., 23, aka Tommy, who claimed he’d “thrown a bag of DVDs” to his Dad, who then “got mad and hit (him) in the head. ”
In another corner, actually, out on the screen porch we’ve visited: father Hank Croslin, Sr., who told a different tale, that “he and Tommy were wrestling,” then he grew “uncooperative,” and clammed up, said the report.
“Tommy stated his left eye was swollen where Hank hit him,” according to the report,” but …refused to write a written statement. Tommy kept a hostile posture throughout the investigation…was extremely uncooperative…and, continued to try instigating verbal altercations with his father, Hank, and his mother, Lisa Carmen Croslin.”
Onlookers included not only Haleigh Cummings’ ex stepmom, Misty, 17, who reported Haleigh missing Feb. 10, and remains key to the investigation for what police believe she hasn’t revealed, but her party pal, Kristina Prevatt, 18. That’s right, Nay Nay, small town party girl now seeking shelter with a friend after her own purported domestic love spat.
It was Nay Nay who drove Ronald’s ex on what all described as a three day binge of sex, drugs and drinking with White Boy Greg Page, the weekend before Haleigh vanished.
There was also Tommy’s son, Austin, who misses playmate Haleigh terribly, his family tells me; the report said he’d just missed the school bus he used to take with Haleigh, but “did not want to go with his father because he was scaring him.”
”I don’t think anyone really got hurt,” Chelsea Croslin told me in a telephone interview. “It’s just, when Tommy gets riled up, he likes to yell a lot, and I guess he wouldn’t calm down, so someone called the police.”
Missing in action was Tommy’s wife, Lindsay, the rock of the family who is juggling nursing school with motherhood while living at ground zero amid a town aptly nicknamed Dysfunction Junction. She’d spent the night in the hospital, and was apparently waiting for someone to pick her up when the fight broke out, said Chelsea. “Someone told me they were fighting over who should go pick her up,” she said.
“Lindsay had two seizures last night,” her mother, Peggy Collins, told me in an exclusive interview, possibly grand mal seizures she believes were triggered by exhaustion and stress.
“Lindsay was not raised like that,” said Peggy. “I just hate what’s happening. She’s finishing nursing school, and her husband is in jail as we speak. He used to be such a good guy; he had a great job…Then he got on drugs and he just won’t straighten up. There’s a lot of help out here if he’s willing to ask for it.”
When it comes down to the family of missing six year old Haleigh Cummings, chaos –and drugs –seem to be an on-going theme. We’ve also learned that Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, has had an on going drug problem, her former lawyer reveals in a sworn affidavit she filed with the Florida bar—a drug problem she claims she didn’t know about until June.
Crystal and her mother, Marie, filed a complaint against Picazio for refusing to fight for custody of Haleigh and Junior, her son. But Picazio has now revealed that when she learned her client had lied to her about on going prescription drug abuse, she knew that was not a fight she could win, nor file in good conscience. THIS IS GREAT!!! Wonderful article. My first thoughts…Art you are the writer version of Jerry. (with all due respect. you are wonderful and well respected man) Definitely gives a twist of humor to all of this. I could not help to notice the difference between his last mug shot and this one…He has a black eye on the left. Same shirt, same pitiful look. If Tommy has children why hasn’t anyone called CPS on him? Instead of worrying about a grieving father who takes care of his children the best he knows how. Certainly this family can do better than fighting in front of their children, drugs or not, no excuses. Especially hitting their grandfather. My question is this: how many times before Haleigh went missing did the family have domestic disputes? Is this something by the stress/ guilt? I do not necessarily believe all of what Misty says. However, when she went on the CBS show and stated her family would say she wasn’t there because that’s how they are. I do believe they will do what is best for themselves. However, I believe he went there that night at some point. After Ronald had called him. Thanks for the laugh, I really needed it. Hopefully they hold him for awhile and the truth comes out.

In addition…Tommy needs to stop scaring Austin. According to Crystal’s lawyer she needs rehab…she and Tommy can go together. Hank Sr and Lisa need to get away from their children. They are enablers. The way I see it Chelsea and Timmy are the only ones who are thinking.

Seriously, does anyone know how the police have approached Misty in their questioning? Are they coming across as we think you are guilty so tell it. Or have they told her they believe her, but without further details there is no way of proving different. Aside from what conclusions I have come to, maybe she is just scared. Look at the scrutiny she is under. I have a feeling that if brother is locked up awhile the truth will come out. Many people have blamed Ronald and have said they believe she is scared of him. I still believe it is her brother she is scared of, and when Ronald finds out he has said he will kill whoever is responsible. Crossfire…Misty in the middle. Hypothetically speaking, if I knew what had happened and I was not the one responsible. I knew who did this. Why would I not tell police? Who would be close enough to me that I would cover for? My brother, or an immediate family member. He is the only other person who has told LE he was there that night. There are various factors granted. However, he knows more than he is telling.

Has it been looked into about any phone activity that Tommy has AFTER he said he went to the home that night to see if Misty was there? It has been said that Tommy was there that evening to smoke pot with Misty. So to begin with Misty was coming down off of a weekend long drug binge PLUS she was high that night in question. Was this a set up, to allow Tommy back there. Everyone in her family says she was a heavy sleeper to begin with. Then being under the influence of pot would that make her even more sleepier. One thing that puzzles me.. well there are a many.. but this one stands out. LE said when they arrived at the home around 3:30 they noticed the washer was going. Now if Misty is telling the truth and was at home that night sleeping, then how would the washer be going. Tommy said she wasn’t home when he stopped by around 10. Misty claims she put the kids to be around 8 and then did some wash to wash a blanket, that she had to go get from the van. Keep in mind that van had scatches show up on it that nobody knows how they got there and it was parked in a different spot than normal. I’m just wondering where Tommy was after he was at the trailer and if his whereabouts can be confirmed. Thank you Art for keeping all of us up to date on this…God Bless you

I dont care what Art has said in the past I still believe something is not right with the Sheffield side and the more I read the docs from the lawyer the more convinced I am that Crystal may know more also she has never showed real emotion about Haleigh being gone its hard to really be upset if you know where your daughter is and I have not seen raw emotion from Crystal but I have Ron. Now I see why Art was pushing Misty is guilty of something so much it looks as if he was “helphing” Kim make Crystal look good and Ron and Misty look bad…..shame on you! We just weant the truth!!!!! I thought coming on this site would help me get there

They were wrestling? They both are a little old for this behavior. I am not sure what to think anymore. I do not believe Misty was ever afraid of Tommy. If he was the one who took Haleigh and she told LE it was him he would of been in jail with no bond and unable to get to her or Ronald getting to him. That theory don’t sound right to me. Misty is lying to protect herself. She is just like the rest of her family. She only worries about saving her own skin. Misty is not involved in Haleighs disappearance alone.
I do not know who is guilty, but it sill bothers me that Ron texted Misty to let her know Donna Brock was an informant. This does not sound like a grieving dad who wants to find out what happeaned to his beautiful daughter.

woke this am , to the kitchen for my coffee, then turned my computer on and went to my favorite site for an update. Art you never drop the ball, always on top of the story and I love it. I cant help but compare this mess to all the jokes out there about west virginia, well let me tell you, I am from W.Va and nothing there compares to this story.

Haleigh never stood a chance with these people. I have tried to remain non-judgemental but these people are RIDICULOUS. And all of this bullsh*t with Marie, Crystal, Kim and these foolish, selfish bloggers has only served to take valuable time away from the prime focus on this case …. little Haleigh. They all make me sick.
At this point, I’m afraid that Haleigh will never be found and we will never know what happened b/c all of the drug adled minds and posers in this case. Disgusting.

These poor little children, they need to be out of there. Nothing was done about Tommy passing out at the bus stop, I don’t know if anything will happen this time. This has a future tragedy written all over it.

I have to agree with concernced citizen. If Ronald wants his daughter found so badly why would he alert Misty to Donna Brock’s real intentions? You would think he would want any and all information given. So why tell her…this would just make her more tight lipped and not say anything. Sounds to me that Ronald didn’t want Misty to slip up and tell the truth. That there IMO makes him guilty of something involving Haleigh being missing. IMO

I hope he’s not let out until after Thanksgiving…Seems he is safer in jail..Lots of fighting goes on that day in the lives of dysfuntional families..He could end up right back where he is, and maybe take Pops with him next time..A family that jails together…stays together.. In previous posts I have said that I didnt believe the back door was unlocked, and if it was Misty unlocked it. Well, just had another thought. Tommy was at the house twice that day. If someone did come through the back door, he could have unlocked it earlier in the day. Since Ron was the one who checked it no one would have noticed. Ron was already at work. When Ron called that was opportunity. Some reason I believe Misty. I believe she doesnt really know what happened. To her it is like an illusion, she doesnt know what really happened.

Just imagine being in this town,it wears thin on your skin.You hear things,the investigators doubt that it’s true,God Bless them,who knows anymore.The thing is I don’t think anyone could start to understand,like I said before people are telling stories to throw investigators off,IMO I don’t think we have enough jailhouse room for all the people who are involved now. Oneday it will be to much for one of them to carry in their heart.You know for all of these people to love Haleigh so much it seems to me someone would step forward and say……Hey, I made a mistake and this mistake caused this to happen…….I’m not saying that someone who loves her intentionally caused this to happen but ,I think it definitely was what put this horrible nightmare in motion.

This whole situation is becoming more of a 3 ring circus than anything. In ring 1 you have Misty puttin on her performance. Ring 2 there is Tommy and his antics. Ring 3 is empty with no spot light!!! Why? that one is for Haleigh only Misty and Tommy are regularly stealing the scene and nobody is focusing on Haleigh anymore or so it seems to me!

IMO Misty needs to get away from these people as far and as fast as possible. Misty was home & that is just as it is. From the on-set I listened to the 911 call, Misty refered to her self in relation to Haleigh as Haleigh being her daughter. Misty percieved herself as Haleigh’s mother, Misty is not a guilty Mother IMO. Take the case of Davis who knew exactly where & when she placed the child, repeatedly stressed the child was able to unlock the door, named an innocent man, simplr math tells a person it was a lie in regards to time, and her emotion shifts all over. Misty is telling the truth and that is just how it is. Crystal’s behaviour raises red flags to me I find it odd. With that said I think LE needs to drill the whole bunch all over again.

Misty has had every opportunity to get away from those people. Misty does not want out of Satsuma. She wants to keep on living the same life she has been living. Misty is not the victim nor is the Cummings or the Sheffield/Griffis . The only victim here is Haleigh and the rest are posers!!!
As far as the comparison between Misty and Shaniya Davis’s mother Misty had more one on one time with Haleigh and on the 911 call she said Haleigh was wearing a pink shirt and underwear, but 20 minutes later in the police report she said Haleigh was wearing a pink shirt and tan shorts. Neither female ( it is a disgrace to use mother for these two) could give an actual description on what the children were wearing, but Shaniyas was closer in match. They are both druggies. The only difference I can see right now is Shaniyas perps are in jail and misty with all her inconsistencies is still free to roam. Granted I do think Misty would intentionally hurt Haleigh, but I believe it was either an accident or she knows what happened to Haleigh and who did it.

What if in a drunken, stoned state of mind, Misty ’sold’ Haleigh for more drugs. We’ve just witnessed (allegedly) a mother who did this, so why not a quote unquote ’step-mother’. I know personally that cocaine, when you get high on it, you just want more and more. It is very addictive and becomes very expensive and if your personal desire for more is such that you cannot ‘call it a night’ and go home, you just have to have more, you’ll sell your soul. So if some drug dealer offered a little ‘taste’ to Misty to let him ‘touch’ Haleigh, it is not out of reach that, she agreed and during the assault, the dude went too far and it killed her. Misty would have been out of her gord and things would have seemed “dream like”

And about that “block” holding open the back door. Why did Misty make it a point to state that she had no idea where it had come from, that she had never seen it before. Why if your child is missing would you worry about the block other than to say you found the back door propped open. The police in turn would have asked about the block, which if I remember correctly, there was a pile of them found about 50 ft’ from the trailer. I also still don’t know which story she settled on regarding what time she woke up to use the washroom. The first report by her said it was about 10:30pm but then it switched to just before Ronald got home at 3:00am. I wish I could pass on wisdom based on experience to Misty….sooner or later you will ‘thaw’ out from your drug use and what you know about Haleigh will haunt you forever until you come clean. And that is only if you’re lucky enough not to stay addicted forever. We are only as sick as our secrets and because you won’t face the haunting truth about Haleigh, you may stay an addict forever. God Bless you, I know he forgives you and once you tell the truth, you will feel it.

JMO, but the Croslins would be well advised to “Just Say NO” and then STFU when Harris calls. [Yes, calls, as in via telephone, because he is NOT "boots on the ground" anywhere near Putnam County.]
Druggies will not be the ones going to get his balled azz. It will be the non-drug-abusing, law-abiding citizenry who will be awaiting his return, IF they bother reading your drivel, which is doubtful. However, it’s better to Be Prepared, dud.
