Exclusive: Expert Believes Haleigh Cummings Dead; Misty Splits!

A high profile child finder and veteran of 1,100 missing persons searches, including Haleigh Cummings tells The Bald Truth that he believes the missing six year old is dead, and chances are slim her body will ever be recovered.
âI hate to say it, but thereâs no possible way I think sheâs alive,â Tim Miller, founder of Texas Equusearch, said in a phone interview with me Monday, taking a break from an unrelated search in the Nevada desert.
Heâs not basing his words on hard evidence, but a lack of it, pointing to the âflunkedâ polygraph he arranged for ex-Haleigh stepmom Misty Croslin, recently divorced from Haleighâs father, Ronald, and what law enforcement calls âconsistently inconsistentâ statements about what happened to the little girl she reported missing Feb. 10.
Both Miller and Putnam County Sheriffâs investigators have said they believe Misty holds the âkeyâ to unlocking the mystery of the missing child, if sheâd only turn it. But Croslin maintains her innocence, and says she woke up to find Haleigh gone.
Miller says he feels no good has come to Haleigh based on what eh says her ex husband has told him as well: that she did not sleep in the bed, that she did not wash clothes as she said because they were out of detergent, and that âhe believes she was involved or knows who was. He always said, âKeep your friends close and enemies closer.â
âWeâve worked too many of these cases, and after spending all this time without any solid leads, you just get a feel for them,â Miller told me.
âShe probably is dead,â one top law enforcement source confided. âThatâs what statistics on these cases show, that if you donât find a child right away, itâs likely something bad has happened. But weâre still working this like a child who is still missing.â
Asked what different techniques would be used on this and a child they believed to have been murdered, he said, âNone. You canât say for sure itâs a murder until and unless you find a body, and we havenât. But weâre still holding out hope. You have to. We want nothing more than to bring a little girl home alive.â
âIf anyone could give us any indication or a clue to follow that says sheâs alive, weâd be on it in a heartbeat,â says Miller, who has moved on to other cases with more promise of bringing closure to parents by finding a child, or a body. He understands: his daughter, Laura, vanished and was found murdered, and heâs found some hope and redemption in helping other parents.
Meanwhile, The Bald Truth has learned that Misty Croslin has left the state of Florida, to join her family in Nashville. With few options in Satsuma, sheâs hopped a bus to Nashville to help her grandmother, Flora Hollers, a friend confides.
Law enforcement sources tell me they are keeping track of her movements, but with no charges pending or imminent, sheâs free to travel wherever she wants.

She will be in Nashville for not very long, that is a temporary stay. She is receiving help from out of state and will be traveling there soon. She also has an informant close to her that she is aware of. She was to leave last night but didn’t make the bus

Inside–At last a reader who is truly INSIDE! And has the inside scoop we also reported this evening on Nancy Grace. She took the bus Monday, and it was scheduled to arrive at 3 a.m. when her grandmother, Flora Hollers, tells me she aimed to pick her up and give her some time away from the madness of Satsuma. She was going to leave Sunday, but did indeed miss it, I’m also told, and plans to stay about two weeks…She has no real place to live in Satsuma, except the risky gal pals she was hanging with when a dope deal went bad and suddenly she found herself on the victim’s end of the sad 911 call, Misty in pain.
But if all goes well, she will be back for an upcoming hearing on her injunction against brother Tommy, the one she took out after the fight with ex husband, Ronald, claiming she’s afraid of the brother who told police she wasn’t home apparently when he banged on the door of the trailer about 10p the night Haleigh went missing…Misty now says she’s no longer afraid of Tommy, and has been invited to live back home, but can’t until she asks a judge to dissolve the injunction…Art

You know I love your reporting, but this artile shows no sensitivity! I think its a bit presumtious and uncaring to state the child is dead all well knowing the mother or family could read here and see those words in print. Even if Tim Miller told you this, and you believe it, please do not say it so coldly, for those of use who still pray that Haleigh will be found alive!

On Nancy Grace tonight Teresa Neves states Haleigh had two inhalers. One that she used basically used to help control the weezing you have from asthma and the other when she gets real bad when pneumonia starts setting in. This is called a NEBULIZER, which came up missing when Haleigh vanished. The other is a puffer inhaler; it is used to control or stop an asthma attack. they are usually referred to as a fast acting inhaler. They both use albuterol. I do not know how Haleigh would survive an asthma attack without her inhaler; since it was stated she in fact has intense asthma.
I believe we all hold out hope that Haleigh is returned alive, but in our hearts we already have feared the worst sometime back. I pray LE keep the pressure on and bring Haleigh home no matter what.
I hope Misty comes clean. Haleigh needs her to be truthful. HALEIGH NEEDS JUSTICE!!!
I have not seen any where at this point that the nebulizer has been found. That leads me to still feel it could of been used in foul play. Anything could have been put in that nebulizer and she inhaled into her poor little lungs.

This is so sad, I kinda knew within the first month that Haleigh was not alive. She died that night and Misty knows what happened. What is even worse is this little 17year old girl out witted the PCSO. I knew this was going to happen. PCSO had the opportunity to arrest Ronald for child molestation in the weeks after Haleigh disappeared, they did not. PCSO had the opportunity to get CPS involved for obvious reasons and did not. Where can you go to buy drugs get mugged and admit you were there to buy drugs and not get arrested. Too many red flags and nothing happened. Haleigh was most likely put in a pond with the gators that same night. Misty did not sleep in the bed – she was probably with WBG on the couch. Haleigh was probably given a cocktail of legal drugs to make her sleep and she OD. Misty panicked and threw her in the dumpster, panicked again and moved the body to the pond where she knew the gators would get her. This is disturbing, it makes me sick. I will never read anothe article about Ronald or Misty nor their families. My prayers for Little Haleigh will continue, but, I am done. That little baby did not stand a chance (Nancy Grace) said that is she is right.

I am happy to hear Misty has moved away from Satsuma..I hope she will get a grip on her life, and stop doing drugs, but unless she sincerely wants to stop, and starts associating with clean people, she is doomed whereever she goes..She can move a million miles away, but she will still find drugs, if she choses to continue..I’d like to see her in rehab for about a year..I maintain she did not kill Haleigh, but I think she knows who did, and has been programmed to lie to protect the killer.. The attention is on her to take the focus off the one who did this horrible act…I agree with TM. Haleigh is dead..I think she was buried in the surrounding woods.. Why did NG have Neves on again tonight? Those fake tears are not convincing..She never says anything that could help the investigation…Of course she is going to protect Ronald..I would rather have seen Crystal, but NG is so convinced Ronald had nothing to do with Haleigh’s missing, she won’t have anyone on who would question his guilt..Someone killed this beautiful child, and I don’t think it’s Misty…It’s time to move on..She is not going to say anymore than she already has, and I think it’s because 1) she really doesn’t know, or 2) she has been threatened severely if she says who harmed Haleigh…Great job on NG tonight Art!

And if you want to talk statistics here you go…Jaycee Dugard…missing 18 years…FOUND ALIVE… Elizabeth Smart…Missing 9 months…FOUND ALIVE…Shawn Hornbeck…Missing 4 years…FOUND ALIVE along with another missing child.
Sorry Art, I know, it’s being said so you need to report it, but it makes people want to give up on her and nobody should give up looking for her. She deserves to be found.

Let’s be honest, the lie detector arrangement was questionable the examiner him self stated his lie detector test is only a 50/50 chance of being right. The examiner placed more weight in the Voice test, a test highly disputed and checked out by a University that declared it completely bogus. Several Policing agencies world wide also hold no weight in the test. The conversations that took place between counsel, family members, Mr.Miller and the examiner prior to the test show complete bias, a bias examiner is well known for causing a false result even cautioned by the FBI and makers of the machine itself. Also the reporting of Misty changing her story a lot has been done by media who got it wrong and then blamed her for it. This case has been so severally polluted by media that it has placed the entire case in jeopardy no matter who is responsible. I don’t think Misty is Stupid, I just don’t think she thinks things through and does have what it takes to carry out this crime. I am staying on the side Haleigh is alive unless other wise found, don’t give up on this girl, Tim Miller is just acting out again and being irresponsible not to mention playing God, he needs to be humbled.

While I agree the chances are not in Haleigh’s favor, something came to me as I was reading over these comments… Maybe,just maybe the nebulizer is missing because whoever has her knows she needs it to survive! My husband often uses his nebulizer in place of the “puffer” when we are waiting for refills. Praying for closure.

Misty reminds me so much of Casey Anderson. She has outwardly gone from a hickabilly in flannel, to a made up, made over witch. Just like Casey, Ron worked nights and she was alone with the weight of the children. Although she appears too uneducated to use a computer, rage comes naturally. I feel that she became tired of the ball and chain and took care of it. What puzzles me is that she didn’t include Junior so as to rid herself of everything that stood in the way of her being a popular, drug using, party going 17 year old that she aspired to be.
I also wonder what is in the water in Florida. It is obviously affected the population in Florida, causing them to kill.
And finally, it is my opinion that they should open the gates to our prisons and release any one who is being held as the result of a marajuana offense and let them out. They should then fill the empty cells with the sex offenders. You know only in America do you see such a miscarriage of justice. People smoke pot. Many end up giving it up to pursue family, careers, life. Sex offenders however never change. They are sick and as such we should protect our children and women in America.

Im on team Crystal, Mrs Nancey has no clue what its like to be a young disadvantage at risk teen pregnant in a drug addicted relationship with kids-and she is doing the best she can-she needs to know what happened to her baby gurl. She left the kids with Ron, state said he was the better parent and now no answeres-i need to blame someone, but who?

The difference between this statistics is that Jaycee Dugard was abducted from the bus stop 18 yearsâŠFOUND ALIVE⊠Elizabeth Smart was abducted from her bed, torn screen found and forced entry, her younger sister witnessed the abduction and was honest about it(Missing 9 monthsâŠFOUND ALIVE) Shawn Hornbeck was abducted while riding his bicycle (Missing 4 yearsâŠFOUND ALIVE)and so on.
While with Haleigh Cummings the last person to have seen her alive is reported to be Misty.
There was no forced entry. The kitchen light was turned on. Misty reported that the back (screen door)was propped opened with a brick, QUESTION: How could Misty possibly know this? when the back door if opened closes itself?? There is no way that Misty could have noticed the screen door propped opened unless opening the back door herself and seeing the person who opened it. Cadevor dogs hit on several spots during the search. Both Misty and Ronald were and continue to be very inconsistent (LIES)with their stories? 20+ call Ronald made to Misty with Zero response. Not checking up on his family, instead working an overtime shift, and stopping to buy what have you at a shop. Lets not forget the drugs surrounding this family.
I support Tim Miller, he has better judgment and is reality based. I am certain that he would really like to be wrong about Haleigh as would the rest of us.

I hope Misty gramma knows the extent of her drug addiction, Misty anger issues could be accute withdrawls from all the pills/weed/alcohol
seems this family has been struggling with addiction for some time
I work in a homeless shelter in Toronto ont canada- we treat the Misty’s- of -this- world to get a fresh start-there are options available, she needs rehab, possibly suffers from post tramatic stress and is self medicating b/c she does not have the brain to help herself.
There is hope for people like her-she will be adored if she came forward and told the truth, she is still young enough to where she can be helped and given another oppurtunity in life, but as it stands right now, this will be like a dark raincloud that will fallow her where ever, trust that she will not be at peace just running, but at 17 thats probebly the extent of her knowledge-flight or fright.
we got a nice shelter bed for Misty here in canada,people who are trained to deal with these issues and get you on your feet,3 square meals and an allowence, with education classes and job training,+ access to youth housing and councelling…… and a round trip ticket to a treatment center for her issues

I read an article with TM a few days ago, and felt he was very insensitive to the family of HaLeigh. Yet, with you, he has toned down his words!!
And I now question why he came back into the picture. Just when did he come to the conclusion that she is dead and has been for 6 months??
Also, I thought Misty and Ron were to have NO contact, per her attorney!! Will he DUMP her again???

I am so aggravated,I have said this so many times,Misty knows what happened to Haleigh.I know people talk Art,but I also believe that some of our officers when they are told things they brush it off,thinking it isn’t worth reporting or the people are crazy.I have seen some things lately out of some of our officers that is unreal.I think seriously there are a few that are here only for the check.Our officers are making people not want to speak up and that is uncalled for,they are suppose to make us fell safe.I feel our sherrif would not be to happy with this info,cause this to I think is an injustice to Haleigh,and to anyone else who suffers from a crime.There are people who want to talk and who do but noone wants to listen!Do you realize how many unsolved cases we have here?This isn’t a big city.If you get murdered pray it’s not in Putnam County.Don’t get me wrong we have some good ones but, I believe the bad ones are bringing them down.IMO

is not magic, He can stop something He sees, but allows us
to make decisions. If our decisions are self-destructive,
will the Lord stop rescue us? If so what would we learn or continue the bad behavior? We would never learn if someone came to our rescue through our own fault. Yes, there are Miracles, few and far between.

Art, thank you for your continuing coverage on Haleigh’s case. I agree with Grouper, I think Misty did something to Haleigh to make her sleep that night and it went terribly wrong, and I believe Haleigh’s body was disposed of in Shell Pond, with the alligators in there, there will be no evidence as to a crime. I believe Misty will get away with what she did, and I hope it eats her alive for the rest of her life. My prayers for Haleigh, and for her family.

Those are wonderful examples of children that have returned,but in Haleigh’s case we have a stepmother who abuses drugs and failed a lie detector test. Not to mention a dad,a grandmother and a great grandmother who hindered Haleigh being found by defending Misty. I agree with Tim Miller. It is time to let Haleigh rest in peace. If it was a drug dealer who took Haleigh to get revenge on Ronald,they wouldn’t let her live.

My thoughts on the inhalers are….. perhaps if someone indeed does have Haleigh and knows of her need of inhalers, people share inhalers when someone is in desperate need. Maybe if someone has Haleigh they are providing an inhaler.

Misty has referred to Haleigh in the past tense.
Posters here, who are strangers to Halieigh have struggled to do so.
It is an indication that Misty knew that Haleigh was deceased.
It is a sad fact, but this is the only web site that reports facts and keeps the story alive. Without it, we may find nothing in the news.

I am very glad that Misty has left town! I live right down the road from Ron’s Grandma, and my daughter was in Haleigh’s class at school. It took everything I had everyday, to keep myself from going down there, and “forcing” the truth out of her!
I am praying for her, and I too, feel that she is no longer alive. But, she never had a chance with that family, and maybe, she is in a better place!

The missing nebulizer doesn’t make sense. A nebulizer consists of a small air compressor, tubing, and a mask, along with a cup in which to place medication. If Haleigh was injured or died, why would someone take the nebulizer? If someone wanted to give Haleigh medication to sleep, why not crush it in a drink? Why drug Haleigh and not Jr?
Does TES have sonar equipment to detect metal in lakes and search for the nebulizer?
Misty withheld information to would not alienate Ron and be kicked out. Now that she is on her own, she may talk and let something slip. Unfortunately, she will be in TN or MI or wherever she ends up, and if someone hears something, who knows if they would call LE in FL!

#27 ann, you are right about the puffer inhaler. More than half of the US. are prescribed these inhalers. I posted sometime back that the nebulizer ( used for breathing treatments) vanished when Haleigh did and to my knowledge has not been re-covered. I to believe there was something put in that nebulizer to make her sleep, but this time she od on it. I feel she is somewhere using it or it was disposed of due to foul play. Just to remind everyone Crystals nebulizer was accounted for.
One of the guest reporting on Nancy Grace said last night that Misty failed 95% or more on most of the questions asked. It has been reported that the same questions that were asked on the voice analysis are the same questions asked on the poly. The one about Haleigh being deceased where Misty says she believes Haleigh is alive was 95% deceptive. The only one I heard that was not deceptive is the 42% that had to do with who removed Haleigh. Misty is not sure who it was that removed her. What about when the analyst asked what Ron had to do with Haleighs disappearance. Did it also register deceptive when she said Ron had nothing to do with it? I know the analyst told her that it said she was not sure, but that could of been done to get a better reading to see if Ron was involved. That questions percentages has not been released to my knowledge. This could be why TM feels that Misty is scared, needs protection and is covering for someone else, as well as her own butt(jmo).

Art, I appreciate your honest reporting! I would like to tell Crystal that my heart goes out to her,if she had custody none of this would have happened. Only an abusive guy like Ron would have put his personal need for a teenage mistress or bed partner, knowing she had just came off of a 3 day drug orgy ahead of his precious kids! Just a situation of convience, he had choices, So crystal has to pay for his arrogant stupidity!! I have grandkids and never would have let this go on Theresa is in denial and shares the guilt! Yes other children have been found alive, but at least in the cases of Jaycee Dugard and Elizabeth Smart there were witnesses to their abductions. Haleigh might as well have dropped of the face of the earth. The last person to see Haleigh was Misty, and she isn’t talking. There were no witnesses and no sign of forced entry or of anyone else being in the trailer that night she disappeared.
I would like to see Haleigh found alive too, But I beleive Ron and Misty’s drug lifestyle led to her death. It might have been an accident or unintentional, but I am sure whatever happened was avoidable. I have no doubt that Ron and Misty loved Haleigh, but love doesn’t make you a fit or a good parent. Haleigh never stood a chance in that family no matter what happened to her. This child will never be able to be laid to rest, but that doesn’t seem to matter to the father’s side of the family.

Once again, NG had Teresa on her show last night and she said the exact things she has said in the last three times she has been on, “That God answers our prayer’s” And she feels Haleigh is still alive and at this point she is the only one… I would believe that Teresa truly loves that little girl if she had told her son that Misty was far too young to care for his young children and had intervened, but NOO, we see her at that sham of a wedding, dollar store arbor not withstanding, beaming away, camera in hand acting all proud her son has married that lying piece of trash!! And then singing her praises for the last 8 months and swearing that Misty had nothing to do with Haleigh going missing and that she was a “good mama” to those poor kids. Well, that speaks volume to me,,,Now she has split again as I just heard here first, that Lisa is out of jail, but she is going to live with her granny? How is she going to support herself? About the best job she could get would be stocking shelves at the local Piggly Wiggly and I don’t see her working at any job to be honest and that leaves selling herself or drugs and I can easily see her doing both.I have always said I thought Haleigh ended up in the landfill and isn’t it eerie the Clay CO deputy in his frantic search to find Somer Thompson, lead him to follow the trash and sadly, that beautiful child’s body was found in the landfill? Now, Art, do you know if the landfills in that area, I understand there is two, were ever searched after the cadaver dogs hit on that dumpster??
(GO BACK AND READ MY POSTS THAT TALK ALL ABOUT THE LANDFILL AND DUMPSTERS, ETC. AND HOW CLAY COUNTY GOT THAT IDEA FROM PCSD.)
I can’t seem to get a straight answer on that and sadly, even if that is her final resting spot, she would be methane gas at this point… … the landfill makes sense and so does dumping her body in a gator filled pond, wherever she is, I doubt she will be recovered, unless that loser gives it up and she is not going to willingly.
Now can’t LE arrest her for at least child neglect seeing as those kids were technically in her care and let the chips fall where they may? All we hear out of Putnam is they are working on leads and let’s face it, the child is not going to be found at a Denny’s in Beer Fart OK and while I understand probable cause, LE charged Casey without a body, why can’t Putnam? I think the only people that have worked hard to find Haleigh is YOU and TIM MILLER! You guys have done far more than Putnam has and you guys are not LE!

After reading the newest posts I have a few comments.
A) To Auntwisa- yes sex offenders should come first in the jails, HOWEVER, please remember marijuana is a gateway drug for people like Misty and associates. The ones who are responsible for our children, and are still children themselves/ or mid-teen not as far as adult maturity. Marijuana for some does no harm, but for many leads to addiction and a greater high ultimately leading to death. The ones selling it should be held accountable for those deaths. They are with full knowledge of consequences yet preceed to sell it anyway. For those who grow it themselves…well I believe thats their own responsibility.
B) Although there are no real concrete signs pointing either way as to what actually happened to Haleigh I can see Tim Miller’s and LE’s standpoint. Statistics show that if a missing child is not found within I believe 24 hours or 24-48 hours, the chances are .00000001 in a million to find a child alive. Also, the polygraphs “I don’t know”. It has been from my observation those who lie rehearse and repeatedly say the same line over and over. Misty made a big mistake awhile back when she started to say “I didnt do anything with- to that little girl.” She almost slipped up, but caught herself just not in time for everyone else to observe this.
C) Theresa has faith. I do believe God is good…. As a parent I believe we hold our children very near and dear to us. We get a sixth sense about them. When something isn’t right we have a gut feeling. Well Theresa, grandmother only believes she is alive. I truly believe that is her gut feeling.
To sum this up I see both sides to this, and understand what each are saying. I do praise both. Theresa & family for not giving up. Tim Miller for everything he has done. Of course LE for having a personal belief but without the evidence not giving up on having a missing child, and wanting to bring her home alive. Statistics are statistics, but as many have seen Jaycee Dugard. I wonder if her mother ever had a gut feeling or was just so overwhelmed grief.
God Bless everyone! Art you are doing an amazing job as well. Without you, Nancy, and the above mentioned I truly believe Haleigh would not have even had so much as a chance at justice. All of you are there for a reason. Haleigh being #1, however, without the media attention that has been on this case Somer’s family would not have ever had a sense of closure. Thank you!

In an earlier post where someone stated haleigh probably OD and Misty moved the body twice.Seems to me she would have left some type of evidence behind that LE would have picked up on.After all she is only 17.I thought Ron did not believe her story but yet he is still communicating with her?I still say something is stange about him!

Art, thank you for keeping Haleigh in the news. It is with deep regret that I think the police know exactly what happened to Haleigh, and, they just cannot prove it. That kills me that this little brat Misty got one over on them. Haleigh was probably killed the same night that the so called 911 call was placed. Misty will not come forward, trust me. Also, I think WBG knows something, just a thought…..What do you think?

Those nebulizer and asthma pumps are used all the time to smoke crack and other drugs -
After removing the cylinder within, a screen, or foil with tiny holes poked thru to replica that of a screen, is placed over the mouth opening, and then the drug of choice is smoked thru the bronchial medicine dispenser from the opposite end….
I had a friend hooked on “crack” and she used to use her asthma inhalers all the time to smoke it. It was that, or the usual/typical pop can – Whatever she could use, that she could easily clean out afterwards to get every last hit off of it, and of course, that she could either toss away or clean and remove all traces of drug use evidence -
I still shake my head, and hurt at the loss of that friendship….

It is evident that people are becoming more sympathetic to the plight of poor little dumb uneducated Misty and are succumbing to the idea that no way she could have caused any harm to Haleigh. I could absolutely gag each time I see her face in a news video. Body language speaks volumes!!! Her mouth may deny taking any part in Haleigh’s disappearance but her actions say more. She may not have directly caused harm to Haleigh, and I do believe that much, but she KNOWS what happened, she knows who is responsible, she may fear for her own life if she comes forth, I’d say she certainly fears the possibility of spending time in prison! She is certainly smart enough to know that without probable cause, she will never be arrested if she keeps her mouth shut. I would say the person or person(s) responsible are not about to spill the beans any time soon either. She has lived a hardened life, that most of us posting our comments on this blog probably could not begin to imagine, yet, I’m not going to relent myself to symphathy for her because of her upbringing. Do you really think she will carry guilt for her knowledge of what happened to Haleigh? Not for long!

It is very sad, but the poor little unfortunate child has probably been thrown into a swamp. Please do not let this case go by the wayside. Someone needs to be brought to justice for this murder. OK!!!!! Now, what i believe is that ronald picked Haleigh up at the bus stop, drove home and misty wasnt there. now he has to go to work and puts on a video for the kids to watch till Misty gets home (now remember Misty has been out partying for 3 days}maybe he figures she will be home soon …… ok so off to work he goes… Kids home alone… hes trying frantically to call misty shes not ans the phone and she is not home so brother goes to see if misty is there and bangs on the door. by this time kids have fallen asleep and the banging on the door wakes little Haleigh up she goes out to see what happening turns on the light in the kitchen and opens the door looking outside and using the cinder block to hold the door open so it wont close on her maybe she walked out into the night to get help and got lost, next thing Misty comes home in just enufff time to meeet ronald as hes pulling in the drive and now ron thinks misty was there all night and she really wasnt. I really think the children were left home alone and neither one of them knows what has ha[[ened to little Haleigh

Hey Art, was drugs found in the trailer the night Haleigh was reported missing? I have never heard anything about this. If there was no weed or anything found I find that highly suspicious. I do not think anyone denies that at least Misty got high on a daily bases. No one would think to get rid of everything if they honestly woke to find a child missing.

My very best friend was in hospice care with severe RA. She was in extreme pain. She was given Morphine through a nebulizer. Who knows, maybe some of the druggies have tried nebulizers before! I do find it very, very odd that someone would take that…that’s something I would really look into!

a NEBULIZER must be plugged into an electric outlet. A puffer is much more portable and can be carried in a small purse. Why would someone remove a nebulizer which weighs at least a pound?????

Hello, My very first gut feeling when this all started was that Haleigh’s real mom had something to do with it. I think she (mom) didn’t like her (Haleigh) being there with Misty and came and took her and is keeping her out of sight somewhere. Now I read that her breathalizers are missing too? If a child molester was involved, I don’t think that the perpetrator would take the time to make sure that Haleigh had the necessary things to keep her healthy. So I think it was somebody who knew she needed them and someone with compassion- Her own Mother??? Hmmmmm. Was this angle overlooked??

There are just too many players in this situation. ALSO, the person who took Haleigh knew that the door of the home need to be propped open with something. This was an inside job. Also, can’t the police tell her that all the supposed supspects have come together to say that Misty was the one responsible for her disappearance? She would totally believe this. Or that some of her friends saw her at a club at the time Haleigh was taken and they are going to testify to that?? Do you think that she will talk then?? Anyway, I for one do not think she is dead yet. My gut tells me she is still alive.

My prior post never made it, so I’ll throw this out there again. This is an opinion only — What was the reason RC and MC went to Amber’s house, when Amber’s mom called the police, etc? Maybe they were going to kidnap Amber’s child, the one RC tries to deny. Maybe that child was going to be taken by the “man in black” — or the “them” in RC’s background 911 statement, “I can’t believe you let them take her”… If there were pimp/drug people involved that needed a child for payment, maybe that was the reason. The cop and dog that followed the path in the woods to the pond and ended at the RR tracks… maybe they took her on the train — black market, whatever they do with those stolen children…IMO

I love you Art Harris and wish you had your own show. Nancy Grace is good, but she often gets rude with her guests and that is hard for me to take. Valez-Mitchell is too loud! Art Harris is calm, listens, and questions people without getting rude or loud! I liked Greta when she talked about crime stories, but now it’s all about politics. I think HLN would have a hit show if they would have an Art Harris hour to talk about the crime stories making the news. It’s nice to hear both sides of issues, but not with people screaming at you or getting in your face when you say something they don’t agree with. There is enough agression in the world…..a nice calm news information show with Art Harris would be a hit – I have no doubt!

Chuck–OJ very difficult to prove, lotta work, and arguing case to a jury like juggling jello. very subjective. No prosecutor wants to bring a case he or she can’t win. It’s gotta be strong…Soooo.
On the other hand, you can bet child endangerment, or stronger charges will likely be filed if they find a CREDIBLE source who puts her somewhere other than where she said she was when Haleigh was gone. And if they catch her with illegal drugs, that’s a possible arrest…but they found none on any of the girls the other night when she called 911. Art

I’m constantly amazed at all of the people who go along with the idea that because Ron Cummings went to work that evening that he couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with the disappearance of his daughter. He showed his temper on the 911 call (and give me a break–Nancy Grace says that she would have behaved the same way if the twins were missing? she would call the 911 dispatched an MF???). Who can say that he didn’t lose his temper and become out of control with this poor little girl before work. No one knows what took place just before he left for work and between when he returned home and the 911 call. I don’t understand why “Miss Nancy” thinks that he and his mother can do no wrong, but that Crystal is a villain. I can’t understand a judge ever giving this guy custody of a child, let alone two of them. Poor children and poor Crystal, as far as I’m concerned. Poor anyone who gets into a relationship with this guy. Misty is just a little girl herself.

I realive Tim Miller is a great man, but making statements that the child is dead is just wrong, if it were my child Id be devastated to hear that.

This case really disturbs me, as it does anyone with a compassionate heart. Please tell me why they haven’t arrested Misty? They should have arrested her when they found out that she was involved in a drug buy. I have a feeling if she were in jail, she might just talk. Especially, being as young as she is. If arrested, she wouldn’t have been able to go to TN. How do we know that she won’t flee to an undisclosed location? We all know that she is involved in Haleigh’s disappearance and I believe that Tim Miller is right.
On another note: All sex-offenders should receive life sentences. That may seem harsh to some, but they cannot be rehabilitated. The stats prove that. I urge everyone to go on Mark Klaas website to search locations of sex offenders in their area. I did and was appalled at what I found. We desperately need to protect our children. It is becoming more and more freguent that a child disapears or is found dead due to a sex offender. We need safe houses for children that have to walk home from the bus or play in their yards. We need to go into the schools and teach children how to protect themselves. But we also need to educate parents. It doesn’t matter what size of town or city you live in. It can happen anywhere.

Polygraphs are not a proven science. That is why they are not admissible in court…I don’t see that Misty has lied anymore than others who are closely related to this case..She has basically repeated the same thing over and over, and IMO what she is saying, she was coaxed to say…One day the truth will prevail, and it will come from Misty, but not until she is free from Satsuma and the group of people with which she associates, including Ronald..

Pam: Think about the facts. First of all Ronald has alibis, cell phone pings, and alibis. If something were to have happened before work…dont you think he would have been distraught, acting strange, or some kind of odd behavior from him. In addition he passed a polygraph test. Fact is every person has a temper….which buttons does another press to get it out of the person? If this were me and I came home to my child being gone, vanished into thin air…MF would not be the only words coming out. At that point I would be thinking stop asking me questions, get somebody here now. We need to find my child. I would be in pure outrage. Everyone knows the first step of grief is anger and typically you lash out at those around you. Intentional or not.

You know just a long shot but maybe Misty is behind the kidnapping after all she was the last person to see her. Perhaps it is her that has her stashed somewhere, after all it was her that once said, “she was going to steal Ron from Crystal to get him,” this might be the only hold she has on Ron. Maybe it is drug connected since her brother was arrested and isn’t talking. Haleigh might be her Ace in the hole, it is a possibility or just a passing thought. To bad the psychic’s weren’t brought in, or maybe a drug deal gone bad. I pray however that Haleigh is alive and will be brought home soon, the truth always comes out in one way or the other, so people everywhere, pray really hard for the truth to be out and shown. I am wondering what has happened to Ron? Last word was he was living in someone’s trailer in a driveway because he had lost his job. Misty has left Florida after the drug deal gone bad 911 call. I remember as a child people being killed because dealers thought they were narcs and/or owed money for drugs. Hopefully the police have investigated the local dealers and addicts for any info on outstanding debts owed by Misty or her family. Life means nothing to dealers.

As I said before, I do like Nancy Grace and watch her shows often. However, sometimes it is hard to take when she asks a question of one of her guests and then jumps down their throat or demeans them if she doesn’t agree with their answer(s). I like hearing new ideas and may not agree, but sometimes I hear things I hadn’t considered before. Art’s show would be a tremendous success I believe in part because of his patient, calm demeanor. I did hear Nancy tell the women on The View when they asked how she felt about having twins and she said, “Blessed”. Well I think her twins are just as blessed to have a mother like her. Her face beams with motherhood. But one more episode of her mock “crying” where she makes that shrill noise and puts her hands in front of her eyes – it’s like fingers on a chalkboard to me. I do realize she is a crime victim herself and appreciate her advocacy for the victims.
Some questions I have about the Haleigh Cummings case that haven’t been answered to my satisfaction:
1) Were they or were they not out of laundry detergent? While it may sound simplistic, Misty said she was doing laundry because Haleigh had urinated on her bedding. Ron said they were out of laundry detergent. It certainly doesn’t mean she is lying about the alleged kidnapping, but if Misty would lie about something as simple as doing laundry, what other lies has she told?
2) Why would Ron act the way he did towards Misty during the 911 call i.e. something to the effect of “I can’t believe you let them steal my daughter, bitch”? I realize in a situation this stressful and horrifying, one does not know how one would react until they are actually in that situation, but I am wondering if this statement shouldn’t be looked at closer. While everyone has heard it, no one seems to comment on it. If I were Misty I certainly wouldn’t marry someone who treated me this way after I cared for their children.
3) Why was Misty outside waiting for Ron when he got home? I can say for sure on this one I would have already called 911 and then had them stay on the line with me because the suspect could have still been nearby! I certainly wouldn’t have gone outside without some sort of weapon. The suspect could have still be hiding somewhere in that trailer!
4) Not to add insult to injury, but will Ron ever be charged for breaking the law now with TWO 17 year olds? I know hind-sight is always 20/20 but I think I would have left my children with some very able bodied grandparents that have popped up on the different news reports rather than a child herself – especially at night – especially in the woods.
Art, I would love for you to have your own show and I would love to help line up guests. Many people are interested in true crime and with your charisma, I’m sure you would instantly be a hit. After working for a state crime lab for nearly 30 years in Oklahoma, I also would love to join Tim Miller’s team. What a dream it would be to work with both of you!

I think that Ron is controlling Misty. He should be watched very closley. Watch his body language it will tell you a lot and I think that Misty is doing whatever he asks her. He tested her lying to the police because he wanted to see if the lies she worked out with him hold up. Her story is very rehearsed and she takes clues from Ron when speaking. He married her because that is what she wanted to keep quiet. Notice his hand in his pocket during the ceremony. Also he has a suite and tie on for Nancy Grace but jeans and a T-shirt for his wedding. He stonewalls when Nancy asks him what Misty says about that night. He is the one that needs to be focused on. I think Misty is a pawn for Ron.

Also we must realize the homelife Misty grew up with. Ron is a step up for her. She probably thinks she has made it with him . Another thought. Why would Ron insist that she babysit after she was gone for 3 days screwing around with another guy? He seems like the jealous type and would not be so quick to forgive. I just cannot see her waltzing in after being gone and everything snaps back to normal as they would hasve us think. No he was trying to keep her under his thumb. She did say she did not have any friends. Why not?? I do believe her when she says she loves the kids and she would not harm them but if something did happen she will stick by Ron because he has it set up to make it look like she is the perpetrator and has her convinced she will go down. He is very calculating.
