Art Harris Misty Cummings Scoops on CNN HLN Nancy Grace Show Fri. Oct. 16
From Bald Truth Staff, (c) www.artharris.com, all rights reserved
If you missed Art Harris on The Nancy Grace Show Friday, with Mike Brooks hosting, click on to hear artharris.com insider exclusives on Misty’s makeover, her plans to reconcile with her family, police plans to grill her mother, Lisa Croslin, now home with her family after a long stint behind bars in Nashville, then recent transfer to Putnam County Jail where she was being held on a $10,000 bond for alleged forgery until she was bonded out by husband Hank Croslin, Sr.
According to Palataka bail bondswoman Donna Jaquith, Hank Croslin put up the $1,100 fee to spring his wife. Earlier, in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, Hank told me he’d been trying to raise the money to get her out for a couple of weeks now, and was able to finally borrow the balance of $800 he’d carried from Tennessee to Palatka.
On Friday, Lisa Croslin was happy to be home celebrating the 6th birthday of grandson Austin, Haleigh’s favorite cousin, family tell The Bald Truth. Lindsay Croslin, in an exclusive interview, said that the family would also welcome Misty home if she would drop the restraining order against her brother, and Lindsay’s husband, Tommy, who reported she wasn’t home the night Haleigh disappeared when he knocked on the door about 10 p.m.
On the CBS Early Show, Misty Croslin said he likely made that false claim to get out of jail, where he’d been locked and charged with stealing a gun from a neighbor.
While her real mother was locked up, Misty bonded with her “undercover mama,” Texas Equusearch volunteer Donna Brock, whose double agent mission was to keep her company and keep her safe, and away from Satsuma and Ronald Cummings who Tim Miller feared migtht carry out private threats to kill her, then himself. But Ronald Cummings attorney scoffed that Ronald was in no psychological danger, and did not have the assault rifle that Miller has described in a sworn statement he sent to Putnam County child welfare officials.
Miller tells me that he was contacted by the officials as a result of a frightening scene he witnessed at Ronald’s trailer, where he pulled out what appeared to be a military assault rifle, and in the presence of son, Junior, 5, put the gun barrel in his mouth and threatened to kill Misty, then himself if he learned she had anything to do with the dissapearance of his missing daughter, Haleigh.
Misty says she has no idea what happened before she woke up at 3 am to find Haleigh gone. Publically, Ronald has supported her, but privately expressed his doubhts–the same doubts police and others have that she knows more than she’s telling.
The Bald Truth has also learned investigators aim to compare what Lisa Croslin told us here at artharris.com several months ago in an exclusive sit down interview about the night Haleigh Cummings vanished, and what Misty called to tell her–with other stories Misty has told police and artharris.com.
Lisa Croslin has also said in her heart she believes Misty knows more, but also wants to see her.
When we talked, and later when Misty’s lawyer, Robert Fields, called us, we learned Misty she may be planning to ask a judge to remove the restraining order she filed against her own brother, Tommy, and reunite with her own family. For now, she has no place permanent to sleep, and has been staying with friends who don’t have the means to support her longterm.
Fields says he’s now representing Misty again because he feels she was hoodwinked buy Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch and claims they convinced her to ignore his advice she not go on the CBS Early Show, and other matters.

So Misty does have friends who have the means “to support her longterm”?
Bombshell….Misty, get a job and support yourself!!!

Home Sweet Home!

Nothing seems to be Misty’s fault. Why on earth would TM tell Misty not to listen to her attorney? I don’t believe anything that Misty Croslin Cummings Croslin has to say. She has a knack of blaming everyone else for her problems. She throws her family under the bus and when she doesn’t have anywhere else to go, she wants to kiss and makeup.
I believe Misty does what she wants to do and on her terms. She signed a statement saying she wanted the tests but said she was forced to take them. GMAB

I posted this on BNN a couple of days ago.
===========================================
ALL IS NOT LOST… Perhaps, LE was counting on Lisa to be bonded out of jail…could be tracking her movements… let’s see how long it’ll take for the Croslins to accept Misty back into the family fold now!!
Who else has she got??
October 18th, 2009 at 11:26 am
If only Misty had a decent place to go until this is final solved. The girl needs to be trained to get job, and maybe go back to school, or get a GED. I DO NOT believe she killed Caylee. I believe she knows what happened, and is very FEARFUL to say what happened. If she would stay away from drugs/alcohol maybe she could get a better life for herself. As long as she stays with her family, nothing will really change. I find that so sad. She looked so pretty boarding the plane to N.Y. I hope she tells LE what she knows, and maybe then move on with her life. Outside of Fla.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:29 am
So, basically she is homeless. Will have to make consessions just to get back into a home full of drug, alcohol, and sexual abuse in order to just survive. Of course she will be a pawn to whoever her care-giver is at the time. I am a 72 year old grandmother but I wish I was wealthy and healthy enough to help her get a decent job and a safe place to live. Where are all those televison personalities that are so quick to condemn but never offer help. Maybe this would make a real reality show!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:37 am
Mr. Fields lost his credibility when he stopped representing Misty and then comes back to represent her. His excuse is Tim? Very weak. Steph W. step up the interview, not Tim. Mr. Fields, learn to control your client.
October 18th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
Most people even remotely close to a healthy place can identify manipulation regarding the terms around the restraining order. I could go on forever here on this “ultimatum” one thing it does not do is surprise me. Misty’s story has not changed only wording of it sometimes and if I had to reiterate a story a gazillion times it would be worded different too. However if she had not changed the wording then everyone would be saying it is to rehearsed, to mechanical and so called specialist would be saying she shows signs in deception because of that. If she knew every detail everyone would say she is to detailed and no one remembers that way. IMO people are frustrated, dead locked and want some one to blame it. It would be fabulous if the Police would make public addresses like we are people with the right to be treated like we are worthy of the truth. It would also be grand if they addressed people like we are real and as though they are. We can handle all sides given to us ex: Hank Jr, following the “I can’t imagine why someone would with hold this” How about being REAL!!!HONEST!!! Tell the other side of those possibilities. If the Police want to use the Media to convict this person then please allow people all facts so that we the people can make an informed decision based on facts not on one sided carefully selected words that are nothing short of calculated bias. I think the Police do not want to admit this because if this turns out to be one of the Croslin family or even Crystal’s family “I don’t think the latter” either way they have completely messed up. Failing to turn over everyone’s homes and property that day, their cars, and everything attached to them may of caused Haleigh her life. Should that come to be the result another Lunsford story what are the odds the Sheriff will get back in? What are the odds Policing in Florida want another story like that on their hands? This is not far off from what is being done to that girl in Italy, this is modern day railroading, IMO.

J–of course it’s possible they could be barking up the wrong tree, and they acknowledge that. but misty is the one they feel they have the most chance of using to find haleigh or what happened to her. for now anyway. art

You know I could forgive someone for making love in that oval office…
But, he just had nasty sex and that seems to have made him some sort of star for some reason.
What the heck?
Let’s see if this flies.

Guess it attracted flies, like bees to honey.

“Play Misty for Me”
October 18th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Art,
I have a question for you,how come Misty hasn’t been charged and jailed for Child Endangerment? She is the last one to see her, hence she was responsible for Haliegh’s well being. Ron, they say is a great Dad, yet he has gone to great lengths to protect Misty, which raises a red flag to me!! He shouldn’t have custody of Jr. Also, Tim Miller is a hero!! Tim was 100% right to try and get Misty to confide in someone!!! He did the right thing, and I’m sure the Police knew all along what he was doing. Bonnie
October 18th, 2009 at 7:27 pm
Art,
That was a great interview with Mike..You were allowed to finish, and not interrupted, unlike some other show heads who like to put their quirky two bits in, more than not, just for the sake of letting us know who runs the show…You guys work well together..
For the life of me I can’t figure out why Jr. is still with Ronald..Will it take him going missing, or worse yet, dead, for CPS to wake up? I understand CPS is investigating, but he is remaining with Ronald..As a mother, I am very worried..Ronald is careless with guns, and threatening..Does he threaten Jr. with a gun when he misbehaves? It wouldn’t surprise me.. Do you know if Crystal has filed for custody, and if not, why not? If she hasn’t, and something tragic happens to Jr., she will have a horrible burden to carry for the rest of her life, wishing she had done all in her power to get him out of that atmosphere.. If money is a problem for her, I am sure she can find people willing to help her with legal fees..I will donate to a fund, if money is the problem.
What’s the latest on CPS? Thanks much!
IMO
October 18th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Misty get back together with Whiteboy Greg (if he is not in jail). Does anyone know how long Nay Nay is in the Pen for? What a crew-you can hardly keep track of who is in jail and who is not.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
Seems like nothing knew. I fear since Misty and Ron are apart we have alot of nothing new to look forward in the future.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
I’v said it once and I’ll say it again,I still feel somewhat sorry for Misty.I just don’t think she directly caused harm to Haleigh.Ron is the one with the temper.Remember Misty’s mother said she thought BOTH of them new something.I’m sure I heard that.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Fields says he’s now representing Misty again because he feels she was hoodwinked buy Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch and claims they convinced her to ignore his advice she not go on the CBS Early Show, and other matters.
Well I think it was the Cummings family and Ron Cummings that had the influence to get Misty to ignore his advice.
Not Tim Miller. Maybe he had some up till he told the world about the polygraph but it is hard to imagine someone would be stupid enough to listen to him after that. Even Misty.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
I said it once and I’ll say it again.I feel sorry for Misty.I just don’t believe she directly caused any harm to Haleigh.Ron is the one with the temper.Remember, Misty’s mom said she believed they BOTH new more. That’s at least what I thought I heard.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
I have been thinking about this case. If Misty did something to Haleigh then what did she do with her? Did she even have a car that night? Dead weight is pretty heavy and Misty is small. Ron Cummings was at work. Maybe LE should look at who Misty would trust. Her brother? Give him a polygraph. Both of them.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Sometimes even just asking someone if they will take a polygraph can provide useful information. Considering how much this case has cost why not polygraph Misty’s family and Crystal’s and Ron’s family. Have they done this?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
Cummings? I thought the court gave her last name back to her?
October 18th, 2009 at 11:00 pm
If Misty was on the porch when Ronald got home and Haleigh was missing, where was Jr.? Was he sleeping in the bed, on the couch, on the floor or just running around? Misty said he was sleeping with her, but Ronald said the bed was just made. So, where was Jr?
October 18th, 2009 at 11:48 pm
Nothing to write about?
October 19th, 2009 at 1:59 am
Hi Art,
Great job on Nancy Grace!
Question for you:
Did Donna Brock, backed by Tim Miller/TE fund both of Misty’s Orlando visits prior to her split from Ron? Or just Misty’s second visit to Orlando?
I ask because I am wondering if Teresa Neves outright lied on Nancy Grace when she claimed her boyfriend treated Misty (& later Ron + Junior) to the first Orlando trip.
Appreciate your clarification.
Thanks Art.

I DON’T THINK MISTY IS THE ONE WHO WAS HOODWINKED. NO MATTER HOW YOU WASH IT.
October 19th, 2009 at 5:24 am
Misty Cumming only has a 6th grade education. Come on people, do you not see what Law Enforcement is doing. They are making this child (yes, Misty) their scapegoat for their failure to solve this case. She was sleep, I do not doubt that for a second. There are 3 people the police should focus on only, Ron cummings, AC guy, & Hank Croslin.
October 19th, 2009 at 5:29 am
Why want the police realease Misty’s transcrips? I don’t believe the police are all that concern about finding Haleigh. They have their scapegoat name Misty and they are using it to the fullest extent. Why want they realease the phone records from Ron’s phones and Misty. The AC guy used Misty phone that evening according to her.
This is what the Police is doing “Oh we can’t move forward because this real simple minded girl keeps fooling we experience dectetives.”
October 19th, 2009 at 7:03 am
I have always felt that her family would be there for her. Mistys mom was very sincere when pleading with her daughter through the media. That is what family does no matter how dysfunctional they may be. I do not feel that Tim Miller hoodwinked Misty into anything. I think Misty and Ronald all along had a plan to work the media and make a profit from this.
Misty has been caught in two bold face lies. The first one is when she was asked in an interview if Ron was cussing and blaming her in the 911 call and she said no he was upset because they were not getting there fast enough. Everyone heard that 911 call ” How you ler my daughter get stole you B….!” and when officers arrived he immediately called her his ” dumb B… girlfriend” Yes he was talking to and about Misty. The second was ratgate. Misty gave Ron an alibi, but Ron blew himself and Misty out of the water when telling Tim Miller that he in fact did it and got Misty to lie for him. Every time Misty lied she was covering for Ron. I know LE has said he is not a suspect, but he is in my mind.
—————————
CC–I’m also betting they milk their rift, and get back together one day soon…art
October 19th, 2009 at 9:13 am
For now, she has no place permanent to sleep, and has been staying with friends who don’t have the means to support her longterm.
————————–
Awesome! Great work to protect her. Bust up all her relationships so she’s homeless. Productive no matter what one thinks of her knowledge.
October 19th, 2009 at 11:18 am
As much as I feel Misty is hiding something.I can’t help but feel sorry for this young girl who has been betrayed by every single person in her life. Has she ever had any sense of stability? Has she ever had a real parent? Has she ever had one person truly be there for her? It is really sad? She is only 17 and I don’t believe she was raised with a a real sense of what is right and what is wrong in her young life! It does not mean that what she has done is forgiven or right, but this girl has never had a chance for a ‘normal’ life from the beginning. She’s been set up to fail without any guidance ever. The whole thing is very, very sad. STill we have no idea where Haleigh is?? I still think Ronald is more then a little bit involved here as well.
October 19th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
I just don’t understand why Ron would text Misty to tell her that Donna Brock “undercover mama” was a plant. Its like he wanted to warn her so she would not say anything incriminating…….I thought he wanted to find his daughter. Maybe not. Maybe he knows what happened.
October 19th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
I have been reading/watching so much about this case. I have never heard of a “Tim Miller” before in my life. However, I have heard of “Marc Klauss” and his daughter Polly.
I have always never wavered in MK’s mission, because of his horrific loss! However, I myself am also a victim of a murdered loved one. I actually KNOW the emotions and everything that goes along with that Myself! I don’t have to “imagine” what they went through…..I KNOW!
Point is, most of us that suffer this horrific tragedy in our families aren’t “privey” or aren’t “rich” or maybe aren’t even “pretty enough” for national recoginition??? I don’t know that nor really care! My loved one’s case is stll a mystery! UNSOLVED! Talk about Anger!!
I understand completely TM’s outrage comments and thank God Almighty that he know’s that we victims have to take extreme actions at times to get results, because plain and simple that’s the way it is!! Bravo to him and to Donna Brock!! Bless her heart!
In my opinion, that road rage thing was Donna realizing she had to show herself as a person of shall i say….less educated or lower class than she really is, because Misty unfortunately was raised this way and felt more comfortable with lets call them … hicks?
I pray for Haliegh, She is the real concern here! Not MK, or TM! I can’t even believe that MK got upset with TM, because I understand as a “victim”, why he did what he did and I just wish it had come out with good results! MK wouldn’t be so harsh at him if it had now would he??
Sad thing is, it’s been months now and poor little Haliegh is gone. FACT–Misty Croslin IS the answer to where that little child is! How can a 17 year old twit get away with this for this long??? She is NOT that smart, so WHY are police letting this drag out??? Also, why I am sharing my opions……..Ronald Cummings isn’t a fit parent and child protective services sure are demostrating their lack of concern for Junior! IMO!!

I am not sure if this is Art Harris or someone else moderating this board. I assume since it says Art Harris that is who it is. I found a reaction you had to something I said very odd. So I put in a search engine and found that there are websites about your website. People have to go there to post what they feel because you do not let them?
I have never seen so many comments. But they talk about 25spunky? Someone explain what this is about?
———
Llisa–
Several times, this website and others have come under attack by the lowest form of life on the web; internet vandals, crazies and others who try to crash sites whose policies they don’t like, or who won’t let them post vile, tasteless, and often defamatory writing – grown up gangs with nothing better to do, and no place to go.
Many call people killers who have yet to be charged with any crime, and smugly try to pass rumor as fact, don’t attribute information, sometimes copy and paste whole stories from other sites here knowing it’s not right — which would make us in violation of federal copyright laws, and an insult to the journalists who spend long hours and volunteer their time to these causes only to find these internet thieves stealing their intellectual property without attribution.
Oh, and they do it to us, as well, and we then alert the website owners, who may or may not take it down or insist on the minimum manners of posting no more than a sentence or two from us and a hot link back to our site for those who want to read the rest of our original reporting.
If you will go to the Jacksonville Times Union, there’s a piece about the blog madness over this case and the communities it has spawned. Johnny Greenwood, the PCSD spokesman, cite our site and another fellow journalist, as the only reliable journalist bloggers who bother to check facts with the department and other sources. Those who attack us don’t get their calls returned because they are viewed as the nuts the sheriff and others have called out.
Even the Cummings family has called in stalking complaints against a blogger who used to be allowed here– for trespassing, actually going onto private property to snoop and take photos, behaviour that would get her canned by any bonafide news organization and put us at risk for allowing her to publish work here. You know what they have nicknamed her? The stalker lady.” Nice.
In another incident, we kept getting love bombed by well meaning zealots who insisted Ronald left work the day Haleigh went poof…they were actually MAD we didn’t rush to press with THEIR headlines, citing their stories…See, there was just one little teeny problem–the esteemed high poobah who was tsk-tsking us for wishing we had his story hadn’t done his homework and went with one source reporting from the Stalker Lady. Gosh, is she everywhere? She spoke with one person who said he had seen Ronald, but…we also had a long interview with him, his wife who remembers Misty being there and letting pretty little Haleigh come in to use the bathroom on another occasion…and his sidekick who suffered from severe pain and is always very heavily medicated. He sort of remembers what was on TV that night, but it wasn’t good enough for LE investigators to hang a case on for probable cause they’d take before a judge to get a warrant for Daddy’s arrrest…
We also spoke with LE who wished it were that easy…So the upshot: we dropped the story, having wasted two days chasing ghosts, bs that still sits on the site of the high poobah as gospel…Too arrogant to admit he was conned by stalker lady and that wishing don’t make it so. We have a phrase for such reporting, “too good to check.” Ready, fire, aim.
Now how would we have looked to LE and others had we been muscled into picking up the bogus story…? The big joke is the true believers may still believe it to be true. If only wishing made it so, the crazies would be running the asylum…
A couple of months ago, we got a personal call from a high law enforcement official thanking us for thoroughness and fairness towards LE and the story. We will certainly call it out if we uncover wrongdoing, but we won’t republish scathing attacks from those who have no idea how LE works and what they are faced with and doing in this case. Get my drift?
But top officials do read our site daily, and if they have time, they tell me, they will wade down to check out the comments. So our contributors should feel good that your work is not falling on deaf ears; they are all ears and if we can jog their brains to think about something not covered, that would be great.
As long as they spell our name right, we are delighted attack sites find us worthy of coverage; and we appreciate their efforts to vilify; it’s high flattery and they are sending traffic our way to read the rest of the real story you know you can only get here first. Others who may attack us here and there have likely not developed sources who trust them like ours, so they don’t get the scoops we do; and we credit them when they break something.
Case in point (no names, but they know who they are), one site came to some very wrong conclusions before a story had played out recently. A day or so later, after snide comments and innuendos, what we reported was proven to have happened behind the scenes just like we said. Oops. Dead silence over there. No apology came; we certainly didn’t expect one. Classless acts abound in the minor leagues. We will not be bullied, and bullies get banned here.
Those who have tried to trash us, well, we’re still here and they’re still garbagemen and women. Let them play in their own dumps. We’ve got environmental rules, and do our best to keep out contamination.
Surfing is free, so people can go here, there, everywhere, but we are delighted to hear folks come back for a reality check.
And we value our loyal readers who appreciate what we try to do and what goes into this…
Our satisfaction comes from keeping interest up and fresh and accurate information flowing.
Spunky is our brilliant, hard-working moderator who donates her time and energy to keeping the forum humming with a great give and take of ideas in a civil atmosphere. We love Mad Max, but don’t invite anarchy on the boards. So many knives have been thrown her way, she must be doing something right. Enough said.
With too few hours in the day to sit on the board and approve comments, we often have to choose between other work, or using the time to write and report…so may go a day or four without, and folks get frustrated sitting in limbo. It is not personal, and we appreciate so much everyone taking the time to write. We also reserve the right to edit out tasteless or defamatory comments, and if they are too long or too nasty, we may zap you or leave you up forever because it takes too long to read your novel, as pithy and on point as it may be. Actually writing thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat long is selfish to others who may not get our eyeballs to approve their short and to the point remarks.
Secret to getting approved: keep your comment short. 3-5 sentences is ideal, and you will rocket way ahead of the term papers we receive. Term paper writers often wind up on those mad at Art sites, complaining that it’s all our fault. We censor, we’re rude, how dare they not publish my feeeeeeeeelings that Joe is a slobbering ax murderer. Waaah waah, waaah….
Nothing personal, just no time…but perhaps they might want to consider there are thousands of readers who want questions answered, and we wish we had time for all.
We are batting around ideas, like offering paid subscriptions for an area where our VIP members who help pay and pave the way would have access to more info and personal attention. What would you think of that? Beef up coverage, maybe even ad a researcher and staff writer and ad sales type? Takes time and money. Should we put up a donate button? LOL.
Note we do not mention names or sites you may be referring to because we don’t believe in punching tar babies.
Some are unstable, psycho wannabes we turned down for jobs and we have their letters praising us to prove it, writers scorned who are considered jokes by LE and others who don’t return their calls.
Yet they stir a handful of true believers much like ideologues of terror we once covered in the third world. They hope to engage by attacking, and at some point, may look in the mirror and realize the worst–they are irrelevant. No more said. They go straight to our junk mail. What is it they say; when you fight with a pig, everyone gets muddy, but the pig had a good time? Our policy is no pearls before swine.
For those who get you, no explanation is necesssary, for those who don’t, none is possible.
Choose your poison, just keep coming back.
Who loves ya, baby?

Why are people so very upset?
October 20th, 2009 at 12:29 am
I keep hearing that there are no grounds to arrest Misty Cummings, but with her obvious untruths, can she not be taken in for obstruction of justice?
October 20th, 2009 at 7:09 am
Art:
I trust your reporting but do not trust anything that Tim Miller, Donna Brock, or Cobra Staubs says. If what Miller told you is true, then Misty qualifies as a “battered” woman and could probably partake of the services of a shelter instead of living with friends. At least in a shelter she would be safe from Ron and any other amateur undercover operators.
October 20th, 2009 at 10:29 am
Hi Art, Although I think Tim Miller may have used some strange ways of trying to obtain any information from Misty, I don’t blame him for him trying. This case has been nothing but strange since the beginning. I agree with mark klass about there have been other cases where the children have been taken from the home while the parents were still in the home at the time, but, how many of thoses familys are drug users? Misty had been partying the weekend before and admitted to smoking pot whren her brother had come by at 6pm? not really sure of the time, but, she may have passed out and some one saw a oppertunity to snatch little haleigh while misty was asleep. The whole notion that crystals family or crystal had anything to do with this is nuts. Why would they just take haleigh? why not take both kids? No crystal wasn’t going to get mother of the year, and nancy grace has been way to hard on her while giving ron and his family a pass. This little girl is gone because both sides actually all three sides of the family have problems, any one that knew theses family can see that and may have taken advantage of the situation.Ron’s no saint, either is cystal, but i feel for both the parents in that no one wants to lose a child this way. I just hope that some day they actually find out what happened to her, and that they both become better parents because of this. But thats my opinion Art, doesn’t mean any one has to agree with me, lol.
October 20th, 2009 at 11:10 am
Art, I am confused about a few things. Were Misty’s mother and brother given polygraphs? Was cousin Joe given one? (he took off the very next morning; isn’t that red flag?) Has he been requestioned at all? Do you know exactly how the police cleared him? Was the van’s steering wheel checked for his fingerprints? (ie; is he the one who drove it and brought it back with unexplained scratches?)Has Junior EVER said anything about that night to ANYone? Has he been gently questioned by the police? If Ronald is suspicious of Misty, why he would alert her as to the identity of her “sugar mama,” after he had already filed for divorce? Also, why are there still reports that Ronald was the one who picked up Haleigh from the bus stop when witnesses say it was MISTY who did so? I think Misty knows what happened but it seems like Ronald is the one who really is keeping her quiet. Forgive me, but I just never believed his reactions/actions during the 911 call. It seems like he could have orchestrated it to put the blame on Misty; maybe that’s why he has told people he secretly suspects her, but in actuality, he may be the perpetrator, even if it was an accidental death (BEFORE he went to work). Doesn’t it seem to you, ART, that HE’S the one keeping Misty under his thumb for whatever reason? Has he ever explained why he stopped at the store on the way home instead of rushing home to see why Misty had turned off her phone for hours? He may be undereducated but I think this could be Ronald’s devious plan to deflect culpability, while still professing faith in his wife. Misty’s loyalty seems to be with Ronald. She definitely seems to know more than she is saying. I keep remembering her face when they appeared on the morning show and she looked to Ron before she answered any questions. Be that as it may, does LE think some answers may still lie with Greg and Nay Nay? Even with a reward, this small street smart group would realize that it would in no way prevent them from going to jail if they spoke up.
October 20th, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Art,
any update on the case?

Finally had time to watch Misty and her tests. Does anyone else find it strange that Misty points to her brother and this red truck. Then her brother tells police he did go over to the house. After all this time. Maybe they know he was there and so know he admits to that but what else did he do? Why lie for all this time?

Art:
One thing has bothered me from the beginning of this story. If you go back to the interview Misty did early on (her mother is sitting next to her,) Misty says “I want everyone to know that I didn’t do anything WITH (she hesitates) to that little girl.” Doesn’t that tell everyone something: she didn’t do anything “with” her? Hello!!!! Is anybody listening!?

Art,
I check your website everyday. Thanks for all the updates. I have kept up with the Haleigh story from the beginning. I have never commented before. I just read everyone elses comments and of course, yours. I have to know though, why did Ron let Misty know about the undercover mama? Where is Misty staying? Please answer if you know.
October 20th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
Hey Art, Did you hear that Misty got robbed Monday night at Ragsdale apartments? She was with a couple of friends trying to buy drugs and got robbed!!! So much for her “innocent” act.
———
Didn’t hear, but I first read it in the Gainesville Sun (where did you “Hear” about it?)
Then called up always helpful Assistant Palatka Police Chief James Griffths who confirmed and tells me Misty was a victim of a violent crime…riding with another gal who got out to buy some drugs…Misty later told parents she wasn’t there for herself, but just a passenger which police so far say jive with story they have…Will be doing more interviews with Misty, was was robbed and had to get a new phone Tuesday. http://www.gainesville.com/ Here is the story reported in the Gainesville Sun. Can she still go home without the drugs?

The word you were looking for is by-not buy.

Art, i just read on youtube that Misty got robbed, is this true? and even though she is not my fav type of gal, i feel real bad if this is true. she needs protection, poor thang.

I dont blaim Donna for what she did, trying to find out information about a missing child is never wrong. If Misty would just tell the truth she would not be in this situation, I think if Ron stays out of the picture she will come clean. I believe he was what was keeping her from being honest, I believe it was because she either did something or went out that night and did NOT want to tell Ron. But if she feels Ron is gone for good, she just may spill the beans. Who knows.
Still Praying for poor little missing Haleigh..:-(

i watch these stories on tv all the time. im a senior citizen and it is really hard to imagine that these young boys and girls are always being abused or pedophiles and chil rapist can be let back out on the streets again after there time is up. why cant the victims do something before the prison lets them people out on the streets. how about our governorns stepping up and stop thes people from getting out cause there is no treatments in prisons. i wouldnt let any of them people out if i was working in a prison.they havent looked very hard for haleigh. but i bet u that misty croslions knows alot more than shes telling. i wished i could interrogate her she would finally break dow soon and tell all what happened. i hope u keep my letter in mind of what i said tyvm linda estes kingman az 86409

Wow, Art, what an update! I have newfound respect for Misty’s parents. I believe Misty could have slept through her brother’s supposed knocking. I am profoundly hard of hearing and have extra loud equipment (amplified phones, doorbells, etc) and my husband can totally sleep through that AND the loud, prolonged barking of my two dogs. If Misty had been asleep, does that mean the kids wouldn’t have heard the knocking as well and woken up? (If it’s true her brother was there) Even if Misty had wanted to buy drugs at the apts.(along with the driver) where she was jumped, all that means is she is an addict, not a killer. I can’t belive I’m feeling sympathetic towards her. As other readers/writers have said, she needs help and should be studying for a GED and getting work training. Now that she’s away from Ron, maybe that will happen. I’ve seen her ‘dead stare’ and from personal experience, know that means she’s been abused in some way, shape, or form. It’s called ‘disassociating.’ (It’s not happening to me; this isn’t real, am I dreaming?) Typical victim behavior. Even when asked about Ron divorcing her, she’s speaking in a monotone, not crying or expressing overwhelming sadness. We have to remember that Jessica Lunsford (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was taken out of a house that had two sleeping grandparents in it and she was next door the whole time, and was STILL alive when police checked out Cooey’s house and THEN killed. Elizabeth Smart was taken from her bedroom and the intruder got in through a small cut in the kitchen screen and the house was FULL of people. I look forward to each update, Art. Keep up the fantastic work.

It’s clear that LE has been biding time with Misty and hoping that family & public pressure would drive a wedge between Misty and Ron. They are hoping that, once this bond is broken, they will get more information from one against the other and break this case. If neither were involved with this crime, which is certainly possible, then LE won’t get any further with this angle. Then, what do they do? I think the answer is in phone records and I hope LE has done due diligence. LE needs to establish a link between the small circle of players they have been investigating and a larger circle who may have some knowledge of Haleigh, but also an UNEXPECTED tie in to a family member.

Hi Art -
Any chance you can do something about the comments posted by “Rainy”, numbered 16 & 17.
Quite frankly, I’m surprised they got through –
Accidents do happen,
but I find these offensive, and have every reason to believe
there are others here that would agree with me.
I thank you in advance for looking into this -
Best Regards,
KD

Art, your Editorial response is a thing of beauty. And thanks for Spunky. Simply said, she classes up the place. You’re both consumate professionals. Major props to you both.

Scorpio: You made my night. Thank you for appreciating. We don’t have time to teach Journalism 101 to bloggers who think we should take rumors and run with them like they do. So wasting time with those who don’t get it is just that. that’s why you may not read it here first, if it’s wrong, or we think needs to be checked out. Here’s what I’m learning, don’t trust anyone you meet cold on the web…or run with their so called tips until you check them out. And if they don’t check out, don’t offer them a job, or let them post on your site. Wink. Boy does that make ‘em mad when they find out they couldn’t fool you, that you had their number then, and you have it now. Art

I’ve searched every where on your site looking for this information-hoping you can help me out.
Whose phone was used to make the 911 call the night HaLeigh went missing? Was it Misty’s or Ronald’s?
Thanks so much
October 22nd, 2009 at 2:27 pm
art, do you have any idea that the name tar baby is a term used to identify a heroin user?? And this is what you resort to, calling other bloggers names such as this because they don’t report the same views as you do??
——–
NOT A FAN–
Suggest you go back and read some tales of the south, Joe Chandler Harris, and tales of Uncle Remus, classic literature that most children are familiar with if they’ve been exposed to a varied and classic books. There’s a story of, I believe Breer Rabbit, who isn’t as big and strong as the big bear, so his only hope is to outsmart him. What he does is hide behind a life size Tar Baby…A scarecrow made of black tar–also name for a type of heroin, not heroin user– but that came along eons later. Be that as it may, the rabbit doesn’t want to get eaten, so hides behind the tar baby and dares the bear to punch him, insults him until he does, and lo and behold, the bear is rendered immobile, his fists stuck in the tar baby, and the rabbit hops away, to survive another day.
We’ve learned not to punch tar babies.
And you? Art
October 22nd, 2009 at 2:44 pm
Hello Art,
First of all let me say that you need to rephrase the tar baby remark. A tar baby is another term for a heroin addict these days and it is an offensive term to many was well.
Secondly, I watched the dying breaths of your forum and I have to disagree with you about what happened. It was apparent to many people that weren’t posting but were communicating in other ways that your Moderator was bias and was banning people due to their opinions. If they didn’t fall into line with what she said then they were banned.
This was seen by several people and continued right up to the point that the forum became bare and several of us had to go elsewhere to find pictures so we could understand what was being talked about as far as the location and places that were being searched.
I am sorry that you feel as if the person taking those pictures was stalking anyone but I get the distinct feeling that certain people that are involved in a very personal level with this case don’t feel as you do about the person that you are calling a stalker.
Plus the fact that you are calling someone a stalker that not only hasn’t been found guilty of being a stalker, but hasn’t even been charged with stalking. So you are violating your own rules as I see it.
So when are you being banned?
==============
Lynn–It’s good to see you here and asking good questions. Suggest you reread the post…i didn’t call anyone a stalker, I REPORTED what the Cummings called the woman they found apparently tresspassing on private property to take pix of them…their nickname for her was and is the stalker lady. their words not mine. the methods used to get some of the pix are not legal, witnesses tell me, so we’d be wrong and stupid to use them and expose ourselves to possible liability for invasion of privacy and other possible legal blowback if anyone were to take action.
Sooooooooooooooooooo, a TOS back to you. Art

Art,
Oh my gawd! Spunky must be doing something right? Are you kidding me? You have 4 people posting on your message boards! You are the laughing stock of the internet! Bwaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaa. Talk about reality checks, you are long past due. Get back in touch with your website ya dolt!
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Hey typer, don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but those who get it tell me they appreciate our work, and the stats reflect that, as well as the nice notes we get and you can read on our site from our very polite readers…who have constructive things to say for the most part. Curious where you get your haleigh news, in addition to us. With your attitude and bogus info, it appears you don’t care about the facts, and just stopped by to write on the wall…If not, why not drop the veil, why hide behind the aol address, and tell us when you grabbed this anonymous nic you are hiding behind tonight. One recent day, fyi, our web stats showed 65,000 page views. In one day. I think it’s unlikely that four people could read and click that many pages, no? Be well. Art
PS Spunky is doing a fine job, despite the bullying, threats and lynch mob atmosphere you may be familiar with. Let me just say this: suggest you tell your pals, if they are your pals, they threaten her –or anyone on our boards –at their own risk; we are well aware of what amounts to cyberstalking, and it has been reported to authorities. It’s the web psychos who waste their time and valuable resources with bogus leads they tell us about all the time, keeping them from being able to truly focus on tips that may be more promising.
October 23rd, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Robbie…all the questions you asked and more. I have also wondered from the beginning how JR is thru all of this. I’m sure he witnessed his Father’s ranting the night Haleigh went missing and was very frightened. Did someone (child counselor/child advocate) talk to him about what happened that night…if they were home the entire night as Misty said, etc.
Also, why would Ron ‘warn’ Misty about Donna? Is it true that he did? Ummm big red flag if he did.
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Art, Appreciate up to the minute news reported here that most always isn’t available anywhere, and when so, days later. Handshake!
I ask in genuine concern for Haleigh and her loved ones, and others involved, especially you and your efforts, that as you connect, investigate and report, to remain as fair and balanced as possible. The truth is such a precious thing, and we can prove it by Honoring Haleigh in seeking the truths in this case.
Praying you strength, health, wisdom, understanding and joy as this case unfolds before our eyes. Concern grows daily towards those that are being harmed by this case, and only do we want the guilty to be revealed and receive due Justice. Ending to my comment, hoping the beginning of a friendship, KL of The Great United States of America

=====================================
Art, weren’t you also contacted to give a “sworn statement” about what you heard or knew?
———-
Durn–
What I hear and know–and can verify with credible sources and/ or documents– you read it here. Tx Art
PS Miller did submit his statement to authorities about what he saw, along with the account of another witness

I think Misty needs to just stay away from the public eye, cause all this does is bring drama to wherever shes at. If she did do this, I think she should just confess. I know that if I had something lieing on my consious I’d just tell it and get it over with. If someone else other than her did this, just let the police know. The least she’d get is a little time in jail for not telling. I think I’d rather try to get all this over with than living daily with everyone blaming me and looking at me like I was some murderer! So, Misty just grow up a bit and tell what the flip you know.
October 26th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Wow, I can’t believe anyone would suggest that Misty’s life should be made into a reality show! That is wrong on so many levels.
She’s pretty much the only suspect in the murder of an innocent five-year-old child! Why in God’s name would she deserve to make money off the very child who’s life was taken!
I am astonished that anyone even thinks that way. At the very LEAST she is 100% guilty of child negligence. And she’s an admitted drug abuser who’s pretty much tried to pin this murder on everybody who loved this child. So she should be rewarded for that? Unbelievable.
