Exclusive: Haleigh Cummings Dad Probed by Child Welfare

The Bald Truth has learned that Putnam County child welfare officials launched a new investigation Tuesday into the safety of Haleigh Cummingsâ baby brother, “Junior,” 3, after we reported exclusively that an eye witness claimed the missing childâs father, Ronald Cummings, brandished an assault rifle in front of his son and threatened to kill his wife, then himself, if he learned Misty Cummings had anything to do with his missing daughterâs disappearance.
âI got a call from a child welfare investigator Tuesday who asked me to fill out a sworn statement about what I told you I saw regarding Ronâs threat,â Texas Equusearch director Tim Miller told The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview Wednesday. âOf course, I will cooperate in their investigation. Iâm worried about a child living with a father who is careless with his guns.â
With his 3 year old son, Junior, watching, Miller told The Bald Truth Cummings âmade a statement that if he found out Misty had some involvement, heâd blow her teeth through the back of her head. Then, he put the (assault rifle) down on floor, butt first, and almost got on his knees, bent over, and put the barrel in his mouth, and says, âIâll kill her, and then kill myself, and take a few others with me.â ”
Sources close to the investigation tell me a local Bald Truth reader anonymously called the Putnam County abuse hotline to alert child welfare officials to our story; officials called Miller, verified the accuracy of our account, then opened a new investigation into Cummingsâ fitness as a father.
At the request of (child welfare), the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday dispatched a deputy to accompany the DCF investigator when she visited Cummingsâ trailer, where he lived with Junior and Misty until their recent split.
Miller, as we reported, said thatâs where he saw Ronald pull the assault rifle and two 32 round clips from a closet, then replace the weapon without locking the closet or a case.
Miller tells me after watching Ronald put the barrel in his mouth and threaten to blow himself and Misty away, if she was behind Haleigh gone missing, he began to fear for Junior AND Misty, and wanted to help get her out of town and keep her away from her husband, fearing if she was killed, “the case would die with her.”
Enter volunteer Donna Brock and Miller’s Uncercover Mama operation to use her as a double agent.
Cummings lawyer, Terry Shoemaker, told Nancy Grace producers that police had confiscated all Cummings guns long ago. In fact, sources close to the investigation tell me police did seize Cummingsâ guns the day his then girlfriend, Misty Croslin, reported Haleigh missing in Feb.
âThey did take them as a precaution, in case Haleighâs body was found,â a source close to the case told me Wednesday, âso if she died of a gunshot wound, they could rule Ronaldâs guns in or out as the source of any bullet.â
After his guns were taken, sources tell us Cummings bragged that he bought more guns. It was unclear whether any where found Tuesday during a DCF visit to his grandmotherâs trailer, where he once shared a bedroom with Misty and Junior, but he discussed his reverence for guns with private investigator Williams Staubs, aka Cobra, when we both met Cummings in a Welaka park last March.
When Cobra mentioned he was licensed to carry a machine gun, I remember that Ronald begged to see it, and grew wide-eyed as the beefy self-proclaimed hillbilly PI who remains passionate about finding Haleigh, opened his trunk and took it out. I was riding shotgun that day (unarmed).
Since deputies did not fill out an official report Tuesday after visiting Cummings trailer, and DCF findings are confidential, it was unclear if any guns were found.

Haleigh was last seen at her trailer home at Hermet’s Cove, Fla. Feb. 9 about 7:30 p.m. by her great grandmother, Annette Sykes; about 8 hours later, her stepmother reported her missing. The child would now be 6 years old, and is estimated to be about three feet tall, and weigh about 40 poundsd. She has brown eyes and blonde hair.
A Florida Amber Alert is active, and the reward fund has swelled to nearly $70,000. T.J. Hart of Skye radio in Gainesville advises that anyone with information can remain anonymous, if they call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477) or you can Text your tip by Texting âTIP231 plus your messageâ to CRIMES (274637).

Tim Miller was so worried that he got Misty out but left Junior in the home? If he was so worried why not call DFS himself? This is getting ridiculous. Tim Miller is wasting donations playing policeman and his lawyer defends him? This Donna Brock was with Misty and they cause a woman to fear for her life, is that what we pay for when we donate to Tim Miller? That and Misty’s manicures? Real nice.

If Tim had of been successful with Operation Undercover Mama, everybody would be patting him on the back, but it didn’t so he gets this.
Collateral Damage. I remember the Jonbenet Ramsey case. Soooo many peoples lives were ripped apart because of it. Everybody sees the pain of family in the spotlight, but seldom do they acknowledge the strain put on LE families and others who tried to help.
I’m glad you’re sticking up for Tim. I’m trying to avoid all the blog/press politics, but I don’t see any other blog owners taking people to task when they cross the line. Kudos.

If it was my child missing, I would be forever grateful to Tim Miller & Co for any and all help he could give.
He had no right to take a child from his parents, but with Misty being a legal adult, Tim could take action to protect her.
I don’t understand why anyone would be critical of Tim Miller.

If we think that Ron is a ticking bomb now, I hate to even begin to think about how he would react to JR being removed from his “care”. I hope LE has him covered and stays safe themselves.
Art, I agree that Tim Miller needs to use any tools that he feels are right in this case. Klass, Miller, and others all have different techniques which they use and I am sure that at this point Tim Miler is using ANYTHING that he can to try to find Haleigh, I believe this child IS worth our donations being used to pay for nails, hotels, theme parks, and anything else that Tim Miller deems appropriate! We cannot put a price tag on this child!! I will now donate more money to Tim Miller!

Having secured guns only means the child cannot access them easily. The person they should worry about accessing them is RC. The 911 tape, police report, Cobra, and now TM have all told the story about threats and the use of guns.
The investigation by DCF should be looking into whole picture. Where is Butterbean staying now? He has lost his sister and moved from the MH to a tent, then to GGS’s home, and now with a “friend”. That is quite a few times in 8 months.
Art, why didn’t you tell Nancy Grace about the text message RC sent to MC last week about Misty’s new friend Donna? RC would do anything to find Haleigh? Yeah, right.

IMO, Tim Miller has done what I would expect the father of a missing child to do. He has gone beyond the call of duty. If I had a missing child, I would hope Tim would have the same determination he has displayed here. Tim Miller was asked by the family to come in and help find Haleigh. When things didn’t go as they thought they should, they turned against him. Did Tim walk away? NO. There are so many ppl that would love to do the same thing. We have all followed this case from day one and it is very frustrating to know that someone knows the truth and they are not being forthcoming. Tim Miller wants to find Haleigh!

Art, i was wondering if you knew Crystal Sheffeilds ethnic back-ground? Not that it matters but it matters to me b/c i am also full blown first nations from canada- When this story first broke in febuary, i was watching very close to what this mother was saying, and in one of her first interviews on tv with her mother by her side, she was holding an eagle feather.
That my friend is a native amaerican thing, just like how a priest holds a bible, it gives spiritual strength and helps form the right words to help you speak when your spirit is broken.
I actually started watching b/c i thought Haleigh might be ‘part’ native american b/c i thought i saw Crystal holding an eagle feather.
I just think this child needs to be brought home, any means neccesary.
I dont know why i brought this up, eccept i was trying to figure out why i was so stuck on this case, then i remembered the first video i ever saw, and crystal had that feather in her hand, you do have to look close, the camera GUY KEPT TRYING not TO FILM THAT.
As i light my ceramonial prayers and send them up for the day, i will ask the Great One to bless you all, make your hearts strong and keep you safe as you keep Haleigh name out there in full view of the world.

Well it’s about dang time, althow, I have a feeling Nothing will have been found, After this about the gun/Guns was threaded, and comments was made, Mr. Ronald most likely got a heads up, and Put the guns into a safe hiding Place, and no one knows where but him. Sadly, Jr will be left in his care, because DCF, will most likely have No alternative but to Sweep this matter under the carpet, Like Most other cases, But this time through No fault of their Own.
I think, That Ronald, wants to Keep at least one Gun around, Because Should the Law Really find out that He was the one that Actually Harmed Haleigh, That he doesnt want to be taken alive. And I think Annette Sykes, is mistaken about her time line of being there dropping off laundry, Or she her self is helping in the cover up, So Ronald wont go to Jail, Or Has any one Asked Ms, Sykes where she went after leaving Misty the laundry, Perhaps Haleigh hitched a ride unbeknownst to Gram ma, and got out somewheres, maybe a store, or something. Non the less, Something went terribly wrong, and their not fessing up to it.
You Know I have had the Privilege to have known a few Hill – Billy Type people in my life, and Ya Know Somthin, they Ain’t all that Thar Stupid, Some are Pretty Dang Caggie.

Anyone who reports abuse or suspicion of abuse should be praised and not ridiculed. After all it is the LAW TO REPORT ABUSE!
WAY TO GO TIM MILLER wish there were more people like you.
Unfortunately the United States has such a faulty system when it comes to child protective services, intervention, prevention and providing safety for our children.
DCF intervenes and basically will go to the home and ask the (perpetrator) if they have weapons? Of course the perpetrator and family will answer NO the police took them all. Tell me who reported me so that I can file a complaint against them. A bunch of MANIPULATION! So the case is unfounded the child remains in the home case closed. By many people, Tim Miller will be looked at like a liar. I have lots of experience in dealing with domestic violence offenders and victims that one thing I can say is Tim Miller should stand up tall, he did his duty to report to appropriate agencies. Now it’s up to the professionals to do their part and provide safety to that child and remove him from the home until the investigation is completed and the father has received some form of counseling. Safety is the number one factor, and professionals should have the ability to distinguish what is in the best interest to the CHILD not the parent.
I would imagine that the entire family would be in some kind of counseling just to deal with Haleigh missing.

It’s all about finding Haleigh, and if Tim Miller has to use a manicure or a road trip to do it, so be it. My grandpa was a wise man, and often said “you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.” I’m sure the Tim Team had this in mind when they befriended Misty. Don’t ever mistake kindness for stupidity. You do what you have to do, to bring a little child home.

One other person thought “outside the box” and tried the exact same solution as Tim Miller – to get close to Misty and see if they could get a hint at what happened to Haleighy. Both Ron Cummings and Tim Miller failed in their attempts.

I have to agree with Mr. Harris, Misha. You should think more outside the box. There may be things we don’t know yet.. like maybe this Donna Brock person is a highly trained psychologist specializing in backwood bumpkins and could glean more info from Misty than a herd of police ever could. Maybe she possesses superhuman, mumsy-like qualities that she emitted during makeovers and rollercoaster rides(I know I’ve spilled my guts a time or two after such treatment). And maybe her terrorizing that woman driver was but a necessary evil to infiltrate and cement her relationship with the likes of people who deal drugs, beat the crap out of each other and leave headless rats in mailboxes. Sacrifices must be made, you know. I’m considering donating to Equusearch now so they can buy Misty a new purse. That white one she’s been carrying is sooo last season.
Major kudos to whichever reader on this site contacted the abuse hotline. Tim Miller should’ve immediately done so himself.

I am so glad this is being investigated. Tim Miller is a good man and wants Haleigh found just like the rest of us. Remember he lost his own daughter and he knows better than anyone a families grief and need for closure. Remember also the Cummings sought out Tim Miller not the other way around after their 4 months of silence and not looking for Haleigh, until Ron found himself in trouble again.

Mr.Miller has such weight then why did the Police not take a sworn statement from him charge Ronald and remove Jr? Under Florida law they can.

Art in your original article you stated that Tim Miller told you that JR was in the bedroom when the gun incident occured….I send you a message that day in the comment secttion to verify that Tim Miller had actually stated that…But I noticed when you were on Nancy Grace last night you did not mention anything about JR being around during that incident and it is now not listed in the above article…So I am confused…Was Jr in the bedroom when this happened or not…Thank you.

Tim Miller has inserted himself into the case for fame and fortune just as he did in CMA’s case. All for $$$’s that’s plain to see. After receiving $$’s in Caylee’s case he decided to stop the search. How convenient.

Art, I am so glad that you are being a friend to Tim Miller. There is so much BS being spread around the net about him. It truly hurts me so much that Tim is getting such a bad rap when all he is doing is trying to find out what happened to Haleigh and where she is.
It is all of these people badmouthing Tim Miller that is sitting behind their collective monitors doing nothing but running their mouths. At least Tim Miller is doing something besides just talking.
And while I am at it, what’s up with Marc Klaas? His behavior on Nancy Grace last night was disgusting. I have respected Marc and appreciate what he is doing for missing children, but he was way over the top last night. Sounded like a jealous, vindictive schoolboy. What he fails to say when he is blasting Tim is that not one person in the cases he cited failed several polygraphs as did Misty.Bless his heart, Marc Klaas is just so obviously wrong in this one.

Art, for once I don’t agree with you, I think Tim Miller should be ashamed of the stunt he pulled. Wasting money that people have donated to equasearch on Misty a manicure,taking her on vacation etc. is pathetic.

Praise God for people like Tim Miller. At least, he’s trying and why not plant a spy to try and get Misty to talk. Let’s hope he doesn’t back off. Also, who knows at this point that Brock didn’t find out some useful information. She was reporting to the police and they did’nt have a problem with this approach. But let’s get Ron Jr. out of this environment.

I wish people would stop bad mouthing Ronald, do not judge him only by what you see. He seems to be the only one who is not publicly gossiping and getting caught in the middle. IMO, when he is interviewed, he is extremely careful to not verbalize too much info. Isn’t it possible that LE has told him to keep quiet, and he is just doing what he has been told?? Tim Miller stated that he visited Ron and Misty to earn their trust, yet then goes blabbing about the Gun Conversation. Sorry, but poor Ronald was probably an emotional wreck, weak, tired and frustated; sounds like Tim Miller tricked him into a personal conversation. Why else would Ronald have disclosed such information as to having a gun and wanting to shoot not only Misty, but himself also?? He probably thought he could trust Tim Miller…how do we know Jr. was watching him??? This is the same Father who has video and pictures of himself and his children coloring easter eggs, playing, hugging, and loving his children. If Ronald were the MONSTER everyone is claiming him to be, how come his children look so happy and joyful in every single video and pic? How many Daddies even care and take the time to save all those special memories? Haleigh looks like such a happy wonderful well taken care of little girl. Let us all stop and take a moment to think, HONESTLY, how we would act and behave if this were happening to us…

I know Sykes said she saw Haleigh at 7-7:30 when she dropped off clothes, but it wouldn’t be the first time a family member lied to protect their own..Was Haleigh really there? If another person can back her up, is that person/s telling the truth? I think Teresa is being untruthful in what she knows..In fact; the whole family needs to come clean, and stop covering up the truth..I think this is a concocted story among family members, and they are sticking to it..A child doesn’t just go missing from her bed, when the doors are locked, (as Ron stated he knew the door was locked), and the step-mother is sleeping three feet from her.Maybe it has happened, but I’m afraid not in this case. I don’t think Haleigh was ever in her bed that night/morning.. Why hasn’t Sykes, Neves, and other family members of Ronald questioned as intensely as Misty? Granted Misty was the last to see Haleigh, but she isn’t going to change her story, so it’s time to get tough on everyone who claims to have seen Haleigh last.. I think LE are doing what they can, with what they have to work with..I just think it’s time to move away from Misty for awhile, and start re questioning others..Misty and Ronald know, but won’t tell..If they are guilty, they never will, but the truth may prevail if those closest to them are pressured enough..

Art, can I ask a question please? If yourself and Tim Miller actually believed that JR might be in danger while under Ronald’s care, why did it take a call from one of your readers to alert The Department of Children and Families Services of an event that happened weeks ago? Art, I visit your website numerous times a day and I have been thankful that you have kept Haleigh’s story in the news and in the hearts of Americans like myself. However, if what you have reported is true and this event with a gun took place as Tim Miller states, could I get an explanation as to why the undercover operation itself was more important than protecting the child that is still in Ronald Cummings care? I also think that Mr. Mark NeJame said it best last night on Nancy Grace when he stated that Tim himself would like a “do-over” , a chance to go back and handle the situation differently, the way I understood it. That truly said it all.
I am a faithful donor of Texas Equusearch and I will continue to contribute twice a year to support the work of which he lends himself unconditionally. When I send in my donation I do so with an open heart and do not expect to have an explanation as to how my dollars are spent. I just wanted the opportunity to say that although I might question the latest developments, I still respect Tim Miller and his choices and will wait with hope and in prayer that the choices he made will bring Haleigh home to all of those who love her.

Q: Thanks for the note. I reported it and was delighted a reader took action and called the abuse hotline. I’d make calls to sources at DFS, but no response. Plus, how many probes had they done of Ronald with no action taken? Perhaps they view it as an acting out that’s more huff than puff, and aren’t really worried about Junior since others tell me Ronald has good fatherly qualities, and there’s no doubt from those who have seen Misty with Junior that he does adore his stepmom, or ex stepmom. If the gun incident with Ron that Tim saw while Jr was in the home with them was in August….then why was it not reported then? This is 3 months later…a lot could have happened in that time incuding a tragic event with the child and a gun.
Why the long delay???

DD: Tim did tell me about the incident weeks ago, and also informed LE, but unclear whether he told DFS, likely not. At the time, I recall him asking me to keep it off the record since he was getting close to both Misty and Ronald and didn’t want to rock the boat at the time so he could glean more information before the door inevitably closed, which it has…It also fit into the pattern of gun in mouth both Amber Brooks and Crystal Sheffield told me they’d witnessed as well, a sort of faux Russian roulette that does seem disturbing, perhaps as a technique to control his women through fear. If you act crazy enough, doesn’t that afford you some degree of power and control of those a manipulator, or bully, might want to dominate? Let’s unleash the shrinks. Art

I think Tim Miller is doing everything in his power to help in this case, as he has with every one he’s been involved in. Klaas was out of line with his rude remarks. SOMEBODY is either lying or not telling what they know and nothing has worked so far to get to the truth. Misty is so concerned about being pretty for the cameras, it seems, that Haleigh is almost being forgotten!! I don’t know what she did that night, but I know what she did the 3 days prior (or what’s been reported about her drug binge) and if she and Ronald were arguing, there’s no telling what she did! The whole thing is mind boggling and someone has got to break eventually! Even if a stranger took her, someone will talk eventually…I hope. No matter how it turns out, the child that’s still there needs to be taken care of (whether child services gets involved or not). I say thumbs up to Tim Miller for his dedicated and back-breaking work, and do what you have to do to find this baby!!

Now doesnt Mother theresa work for the putman county sheriff’s office?? You know she is going to make it all nice for her son? And the sad thing is they will believe her just like Nancy Grace does. I think we need an unbias county sheriffs office in there where Mama Theresa doesnt have any influence and this investigation can proceed in a positive manner with some results. I think mama is even afraid of big bad Ronald. I still believe he is the one behind it all. He is a sick man…

I know it’s breaking the law.. but, I would advised all involved in the case to be wired!!! I would prefer to break that law than to have some serious allegations come back to bite me in the ass!!!
I just don’t see any other way around all the lies!!!! It’s all so very scary, that children have been exposed to this madness.
I do believe TM, I just think he should tread carefully thru this cesspool of insanity.

My heart goes out to Ronald Cummings. A child disappearing? If he did in fact threatened to kill Misty or himself, why wasn’t he “Baker Acted”? It is my understanding that a person is a possible threat to society or to themselves, here in Florida, a person can be hospitalized. Ronald could possibly be assisted with his grief (and anger)problems. He, perhaps, would emerge a stronger person, and would have the ability to focus on the real issue at hand, his daughter.

Once again outstanding reporting! I to am a little dismayed that money being sent to Tim Miller is used to fund such things as lavish trips “out of town” so Misty can “clear her head”, but I do see where a little sugar can possibly lead to a huge cube of sugar (so to speak, you get more w/sugar then w/salt). I sure hope whoever knows what happened to Haleigh comes forward or at least lets someone know what happened to her, the whole country needs closure. I am praying for her safe return every day.

I don’t have a problem at all with what Tim Miller done, at least someone is doing something. Someone is going to have to trick these people up to get any information out of them. I want Haleigh found and I really don’t care what means they use. Thanks Tim and Art

I agree! While unconventional Tim Miller really went above and beyond to help find answers in this case. I can understand a penchant for liking weaponry, we all have the right to bear arms. However, why would Ron be “bragging” about getting more gun-s? I hope LE continues to find more clues to help bring justice to Hayleigh and bring her home. Let’s hope DFS does a thorough investigation. I can’t see how the tense environment, with a dad who has a hair trigger is safe. Butterbean should be with his biological mother. He has to be traumatized by all of this. I noticed a few things on the pictures of Hayleigh that Nancy Grace often shows. She is always beautiful but I noticed in one picture she had noticable scratches and cuts on her face and legs. On another picture she is smiling bright with an outstretched hand showing the camara a ball, her little nails are filthy. Why the scratches and dirty nails. Did anyone else notice this? Maybe she was playing, but my gut just tells me on the surface she was being adequately cared for. While, if you peel back the layers her life was anything but perfect. I know LE is working overtime to bring her home safe, I hope they are successful.

Thanks for the update Art. Why do I have the feeling that even if DFS did find an unlocked shotgun in Ron’s closet, they would still let Junior remain with Ron? Maybe Tim Miller and the FBI should devote some resources into examining why Florida DFS is so incompetent.

This week on another board Ronald Cuming’s friend a neighbor said Ronald had a new gun and it would be in his possession when Ronald brought it to him.He is starting a new foundation.There is talk of people donating.If he can afford a new gun that cost hundreds of dollars,why does he need donated money?

I know Marc Klaas and Tim Miller both have lost their daughters. Marc had closure in the death of his daughter but Tim Miller, what read, the one that kill his daughter, was never found. I think he is doing a very good job on helping family to get closure of a love one. And befriending a person is the only way, at time, to get someone to open up. You go Tim Miller

I just heard you say something on the Nancy Grace show that I hadn’t heard before.
Something to the effect that Misty’s brother Tommy had been at the Cummings home and got in an argument with Ron, trying to get Misty away from him.
It seems to me that if Tommy went away angry and unsuccessful in getting Misty away from Ron, it’s conceivable that Tommy had it in his mind that
if Haleigh disappeared on Misty’s watch, Ron would naturally be angry enough at Misty to kick her out of the house. Maybe Tommy intended to kidnap Haleigh long enough for Ron to throw out Misty, then drop her off
somewhere that she would be found, but something went wrong. Maybe he came forward with the story that he went to the house and knocked on the door just to place himself at the house just in case cell phone pings placed him there. I just heard that Tommy has not been given a
polygraph yet.
More speculation on this theory, Misty has said that she has a “dream-like memory” of other people being there that night. Perhaps Tommy and some friends had been there earlier and given Misty some drugs, then they left and came back later when they knew Misty would be out cold. Doesn’t GHB affect memory? Maybe this part Misty really doesn’t remember very well, or if she remembers, she didn’t want to
admit to taking the drugs for the fear that Ron would throw her out for taking the drugs while watching his kids. From the 911 call we know that Ron was ready to kill on the spot if he found whoever took Haleigh. So in this scenario, Misty honestly doesn’t know what really happened to Haleigh, but she can’t pass a polygraph because she knows
enough to realize that she messed up that night and because of her actions, Haleigh disappeared.
From what I hear of the family dynamics, it wouldn’t be a far stretch for Tommy to do this…as I said, with no harm to Haleigh intended…but it went too far or something went wrong. I don’t think Misty is trying to protect Tommy, I just think it’s possible that she doesn’t know that Tommy may have come back to the house while she was out.
If you watch the video clips, it seams that Misty is always enjoying the limelight, swinging her arms, laughing it up, loving the camera. At seventeen, that might be an emotional high that helps her suppress her guilt or memories of that night. If I had a loved one missing, I don’t think I could laugh again until that person was found. You can see that in Ron Cummings, I don’t think I’ve even seen him smile since this all happened.
Anyway, I hope someone will check out this theory.

Art – I guess there’s much more that I had not heard before about the Croslin/Cummings reality show. But what I gather from what you are saying is confirmation that there was definate motive for the Croslins to do something with Haleigh to get back at Ron. They couldn’t get their sister back with a fist fight, so the “You have something of mine, I’ll take something of yours” strategy was the next step. If I remember correctly, Ron had only known Misty a few months before he moved her into his house. The Croslin family surely doesn’t have any emotional regard for Haleigh, she’s just the daughter of the man who’s shacking up with their under-age sister. I think the police should give the whole family polygraphs.
On another note, in defense of Marc Klaas, I think his disapproval of the “undercover friend” was this: The next time a child goes missing, the family is going to think twice about using professional search teams if they have an idea that the team might surreptitiously be gathering information to point the finger at them. That being said, if the family has nothing to hide then they have nothing to fear. But I would also say to Marc, you have to use every method possible to find the child. In this case, Misty knew the “friend” worked for Tim Miller, and unless you live on Jupiter you know Misty and/or her family is hiding something. – Mike

IMO…Tim Miller has put out more resources and tried more than Ron has to find Haleigh. How come Tim is now being brandished for supposedly spending donations on nails etc to try to get Misty to talk?
Did anyone else have any better idea? She is not truthful with anyone. Ron sends Misty a text to tell her Donna is a double agent. So Ron who’s side are you really on anyway? Misty’s or Haleigh’s?
Children in Florida have been taken away from Families for way less than what Ron has done who is protecting Junior? 1 Child is missing already does JR have to come up missing before DCF says oops should have known better. Ron was sleeping with a 16 year old girl that he entrusted with the safety of his children. Reports of Drugs, Alcohol Abuse, Guns etc have ran ramped in the news and DCF have not thought to step in before now? HELLO There is a child missing that was taken out of a bedroom where the person responsible supposedly slept 2 feet away?
I know the Lindberg baby, Jessica Lunsford and other Children were taken out of a home where Parents slept but none of them were taken by a stranger while a Parent slept 2 feet away. They were all generally in other rooms..
Also why did these kids all have there own bedrooms with beds in their rooms and they slept in the bedroom with Ron and Misty. Where were the kids at when Ron had sex with the then 16 year old Misty? Come on DCF and you are now all of a sudden concerned about JR???

Oh Art you are to funny for words. Tim Miller had the exact same strategy as Ronald Cummings. Get close to her and she what shakes loose. I did not see you putting Ron up on a hero platform.
One other person thought âoutside the boxâ and tried the exact same solution as Tim Miller â to get close to Misty and see if they could get a hint at what happened to Haleighy. Both Ron Cummings and Tim Miller failed in their attempts.- I agree plain as the nose on his face same thing.

I see so many people bashing Ron. But, from EVERY picture I have seen and/or video of him and the kids together, everybody looks happy, smiles, hugging each other. Nobody is perfect. Being “less than rich” does not make you a bad person. People can have issues BUT STILL LOVE THEIR KIDS WITH ALL THEIR HEART. From all that I have seen, Ron does in fact love his kids very much ( I think the pic of them all brushing their teeth together is SO cute ). He held a job and working a side job, which tells me his priority was supporting and taking care of his family.
The 911 call is EXACTLY how I would expect someone to re-act who just came home from work and discovered their daughter gone. And, the latest thing here with the guns – RON’S Daughter is missing, looking like the very person he entrused with his children is to blame, do you honestly believe that this man’s emotions are not all over the place right now? Probably experiencing a million emotions from scared to death, loneliness, emptiness PLUS anger and probably some guilt in the mix too because it has finally hit him that the person who he left the kids with is responsible. I would not be in my best state of mind in his shoes, I know that.
Remember, he had only met Misty a few short months before this all happened. Sounds like he provided her a more stable family environment than hew own family did. And, I AM SURE SHE ACTED MUCH OLDER THAN HER AGE given her life. And, I’m pretty sure I read someone that her parents approved because she actually had someone to put a roof over her head and take care of her.
EXCEPT, Misty is too wild to be tamed, too selfish to put the children before herself, too stuborn to be told what to do (aka stay home with the kids) and to rebellious to not “teach Ron a lesson” for whatever she was mad at him about. She already proved this behaviour with her little weekend stint right before this happened.
I truly believe that she did whatever she wanted to do that night even though in their argument, Ron told her to stay home with the kids. I believe she was mad at Ron, had better things to do then just stay home with Ron’s kids, and one of the following happened:
1) Went out to a party with the kids and something tragic happened at the hands of someone at that party whom she is now protecting (along with protecting herself because she doesn’t want it to be known that she took the kids out and to a party that night).
2) She went out and left the kids home. People who knew her knew she had a tendency to do this and took Haleigh either for their own reasons OR to punish Ron (her whole family, including pedophile cousin, is known not to like Ron)
3) She had people over to the trailer (though unlikely if you believe her bro’s story that no one was home)
Also, maybe Ron is not talking much because he doesn’t want to hinder the investigation or the police have asked him not to for their own reasons, maybe he is a more private person, who knows? But, let’s not forget he passed the polygraph, was proven to be at work, Haleigh was seen by more than one person after Ron went to work, cell phone records support all he says, and he has been cleared.
People are so quick to judge Ron. He was the main caregive of this child with Turner Syndrome and she was getting the proper care. What does that tell you?
Yes, he may not be rich, he may have issues, but none of that has anything to do with the love he has for his children. People bringing stuff up on his history from 2000 or 2004 – he was a teenager himself then! Last time I checked, teenagers do things that are stupid. When you become a parent and have to support a family/household, you grow up. Your priorities change. Additionally, there are people who are in jail for one reason or another but bring someone in who has caused harm to a child and let them in public with the rest of the inmates and see what happens. People who harm children are in a category of their own.
The man passed a polygraph and has been cleared by the police.
Misty has failed multiple polygraphs and has not been cleared by the police.
My heart and sympathy goes out to anyone who has a missing child or has lost a child (except for Casey Anthony because there is no sadness there in her eyes, I feel she completely disconnected herself from Caylee a long time ago and to me, that’s no mother).
Of course, all of this is just my opinion. And, all of us are entitled to their own opinion.
May God watch over Haleigh, her parents, Jr and all who love her. I hope this little angel is found soon.

Why would DCF do anything about these latest allegations? they didn’t care that Ron was shacking up with underage girls–they didn’t care that these two are drug addicts or the numberous other things I could mention. What is it going to take for them to do anything? For Jr. to go missing or worse?

Kristyn, All too often, it has to be the “worse.” Unfortunately! Poor baby Jr. having to be subjected to live in the crazy environment is horrendous. Misty being gone only complicates his understanding even more. I believe it is getting worse–the living conditions, cursing, lying-unbelievable that he is being left there with the “dysfunctional” kin. Junior needs his sweet mommy–NOW. His mommy needs him, NOW.

Why would you people be supporting Ronald look at his arrest record and how quick charges are dropped the Satsuma le is so scandalized it is not funny if Misty is guilty of anything it is not telling what she saw Ronald do that is what the threat is about read between the lines
