It was a unique search operation for Tim Miller, founder of Texas Equusearch, who seems to have a sixth sense â and a track record few can challenge, cracking unsolved mysteries by making people talk, finding the missing and the dead, offering expertise and equipment to police –and hope and closure to grieving families.
But in the search for Haleigh Cummings, heâs found his toughest challenge yet.
Instead of scanning ocean bottoms or busting through bedrock, heâd hoped to chisel away at the hardened heart of a tortured teenager, a child bride of 17 who police still believe holds the key to a missing five year old she reported missing eight months ago, while babysitting in Satsuma, Florida.
Call it âOperation Misty,â with one of Millerâs volunteers playing Misty Cummingsâ undercover Mama, to keep her safe and glean information that he hoped might be useful to the Haleigh task force, The Bald Truth has learned.
In an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth Monday, Miller confirmed he secretly funded Misty Cummingsâ mystery road trip to Daytona, Cocoa Beach, and Orlando, including a visit to Universal, after after she flunked a lie detector — because he feared her life was in danger. âIf she died, weâd never find Haleigh,â he said.
Only last weekâs road rage incident, when police pulled Misty over with driver and new best âfriendâ Donna Brock, blew his cover. Courtney Ballinger told the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office that a driver and passenger of a blue Dodge Caliber kept gesturing and making threats as they were driving near her on Interstate 4. No one was charged or arrested, but Brock was identified as a Miller volunteer, outted by a Florida radio station.
The information, that her pal, Donna, was in effect a spy, albeit for a good cause, reached Misty after the CBS Early Show flew the women to New York for Mistyâs two part interview last week. âShe was sitting there and got a text from Ronald, telling her what happened,â says Miller. âLetâs just say she wasnât too happy.â
Brock is a long time Texas Equusearch volunteer; sheâs worked on searches in North Carolina and in the Caylee Anthony case, lives parttime in Florida and, Miller tells me, offered to befriend Misty with a two-pronged goal: to glean information Misty confided that Miller would feed Putnam County Sheriffâs investigators, and to put some distance between her and husband Ronald Cummings.
âI was afraid Ronald Cummings might carry out his threat to âblow her teeth through the back of her headâ if it turned out she had anything to do with his missing daughter, then kill himself,â Miller told The Bald Truth.
âWeâve worked several missing persons cases where the one we believe has the answers has died or taken their own life, like Trenton Duckettâs Mom, and the case dies with them. If anything happened to Misty, the key to finding Haleigh, or what happened to her, would be gone.â
Miller says he first became alarmed after Misty âmiserablyâ flunked a polygraph and a voice stress test he says she asked him to set up to clear her nameâafter initially balking. In getting to know the couple, to make them feel comfortable, heâd dropped by the Satsuma trailer where they lived with Annette Sykes, Ronaldâs grandmother.
There, he says Ronald lead him to a closet, where he kept an assault rifle, with two clips, each holding 32 rounds, and pulled it out.
With his 3 year old son, Junior, watching, Miller tells me Cummings âmade a statement that if he found out Misty had some involvement, heâd blow her teeth through the back of her head.
âThen, he put the (assault rifle) down on floor, butt first, and almost got on his knees, bent over, and put the barrel in his mouth, and says, âIâll kill her, and then kill myself, and take a few others with me.â
âI said, âRonald, give me that damn gun! You donât need that gun around here. We donât need anymore problems,â and he said, âNo, Iâll need this one more time.â
âAnd Junior is in the room, watching, and Iâm thinking, âHere we go. Heâs got a gun in the closet that doesnât lock. Itâs not in a locked gun case and thereâs Junior in the house. It felt like child endangerment to me.
So I said, âRonald, you already lost one child, and even at Juniorâs age, theyâre curious, and you donât want to lose another child being irresponsible with this damn gun.â That was the bedroom where he said he slept with Misty and Junior.â
Miller said he relayed the gun incident to the Putnam County Sheriffâs Department, as Ronald and Misty appeared to be butting heads, with numerous family fights reported on this site, and documented by police. Ronald Cummings lawyer could not be reached for comment, nor did Donna Brock return our calls.
Two weeks ago, cameras captured Misty and Ronald in a very public embrace before Misty climbed into the car of a mystery friend who would later be identified as Donna Brock, and took off for the beach. Our sources told us, however, that The Kiss, belied the tension between them, and over the next week, we reported numerous fights via phone and text, including one where Ronald purportedly told Misty not to come back.
Shortly after she returned to Satsuma, Ronaldâs mother, Teresa Neves, blamed major dysfunction in Mistyâs family as one culprit in the relationship, with a restraining order against brother Tommy, whoâd accused Ronald of decapitating a rat and putting it in his mailbox, both Misty parents declaring they felt she knew more than she was revealing about Haleigh, and a mother awaiting transfer to the Putnam County jail from Tennessee on theft charges.
Meanwhile, Misty flew to New York for the CBS Early Show, accompanied by Donna Brock, with the network paying for round trip airfare, hotel and meals, as is customary for those flown in for interviews.
At the same time, Ronald Cummings was telling his story to Maury Povich, for airing Oct. 22, and the couple was blaming media pressure, that they could go nowhere without mass attention, for the cause of their split, even hinting reconciliation might be possible one day.
Is any of this beginning to sound scripted?
As we reported the roller coaster relationship, we were told initially Misty had split from Ronald, gone AWOL, with the couple fighting and acrimonious.
Then as we learned more, we were asked not to reveal our sources of the inside information on the rift in progress, lest we blow TEâs strategy to unearth any surreptitious Haleigh leads, and honored that request. We did confirm independently that law enforcement was receiving a regular feed and updates on Misty whereabouts, along with tidbits that might be useful in the investigation, on a voluntary basis.
In no way were Miller or Brock official agents of law enforcement, sources tell me, or agents would have to read Misty her Miranda rights, that she was a target and that anything she said might be held against her.
âDetectives didnât know where they were all the time,â says one insider close to the investigation,âbut they knew how to find her if needed.â
Indeed, when Misty Cummings returned from her initial road trip week ago, she spent a few days in Satsuma, then joined back up with Brock who Miller describes as âthe mother she never had,â for the brief New York foray back into fame, her second bite at the Big Apple after The NBC Today Show with Ronald.
Then it was back to Florida, and Satsuma, where Brock let her off at a gas station in Satsuma Saturday night, a bit of a come down, Miller tells me.
By then, Mistyâs initial anger had passed, he says, with Donna reporting back sheâd actually gotten a kiss on the cheek from her new friend, who also told her, âI love you.â
Now that Miller has confirmed his Undercover Mama, he says he still has compassion for Misty, who âdidnât stand a chanceâ with the upbringing she received. âBut the only reason we did this is to help find Haleigh.â
Whether Misty or anyone is ever arrested or charged with a crime remains up in the air, but at least for a time, if she ever winds up behind bars, Misty Croslin Cummings can say she got a taste of the good life, with mini-makeovers, hair and nails, a little spoiling, and a sympathetic shoulder to cry on and confide in, thanks to Miller and TE special agent Donna Brock.
With her lawyer, Robert Fields, resigning last week after she kept ignoring his advice, Misty may well feel alone in the world; her father has moved back in with brother Tommy; her mother remains behind bars, and sister in law Lindsay tells me she canât come home againâthough theyâd welcome her â until and unless she asks the judge to drop the TRO against Tommy.
Meanwhile, her grandmother, Flora Hollers, in Nashville, asks me to relay a message to her that she will drop everything and drive to Satsuma to pick her up, if she wants to come home to live with her. The family, by in large, seems relieved Ronald is out of her life, for now.
But those close to the case can only hope an isolated Misty will reveal what investigators believe sheâs holdingâinformation that just might solve the case.
Miller says she asked to speak with detectives several days ago, so Brock drove her in and sat with her, as investigators laid out what her future could look like if they make a case against her: she may be too young to get the death penalty, but life in prison is a possibility, she was told.
âWe still donâtâ believe sheâs giving us straight information,â a source close to the case tells me. âShe keeps telling us the same thing over and over again, and we have information that shows itâs not trueâŠAt some point, she has to make a decision if she wants to stay the course, or is she going to tell us.
âWeâve told her, âWe are going forward with the case, no matter what your commitment is, and the moment we can prove you had something to do with the disappearance of Haleigh, we will proceed with criminal charges against you.ââ

I think Misty knows who, and what happened to Haleigh, but she is scared to death. She has been threatened, and she can’t even answer questions without looking at him for permission.
A wife abuser doesn’t just stop with the first wife, it continues with the girlfriend/wife, and the two children.

What I find interesting is that you do not allow postings regarding the lie detector being interviewed and claiming a poly is 50 50 yet a voice stress test is 95% yet many sources including FBI by in large hold no weight in the bogus testing. A Univeristy did a study on the voice stress test and declared it bogus the company filed to have the study removed. Nancy gave great weight to the lie detector to only be thrown under the bus along with Mr.Miller by the tester his self. God Bless Haleigh and all her families

Well, it seems like to me Misty would just get it over with.How long can she actually live with this heavy burden?Misty,do you see Haleigh’s face at night when you try to sleep?Why not do the right thing and tell the truth?You should of never been left alone with them in the first place,but you owe it to Haleigh to tell the truth.It’s not gonna go away.You need to tell the truth now ,before you have kids and then the truth comes all the way out, and you have to leave them and more people end up getting hurt.God Bless Haleigh.

I believe Misty!! The police are making her a scapegoat in their sorry dectetive police work. If, you are asleep, what else can she tell them? According to Tim, Ronald said “the beds were made”. Did Ronald tell the Police this same story when questioned. If, not then his story is inconsistent also!! Tim Miller is no good, they should have found Hayley before Roy Kronk.

Re-check Ronald Cummings time line at work. What time did he arrive? What time did he leave? What was his schedule shift? Ask co-worker could he have left and they not know? Is Ronald setting misty up, think about it? If Ronald lied to Tim Miller about the beds not being made!! Ask yourself, why would he lie on his wife? The two videos on the internet where misty is taking a polygraph and voice anaylsis seems consistent to me. Misty is being set up to take the fall by Ronald, her family and the police.

Remember the police went to the the trailer where Johan Couey was holding jessica Lunsford and left. Misty story is not inconsitent. Why want the police release the transcript of her interview?

Art, Let me start of by saying that I am not trying to criticize your journalism…But I do have a qestion…In this article where it stated that Tim Miller said that Ron JR was in the room when the gun incident occured…Did this come right from Tims mouth…The reason I ask is because I had heard an interview he gave about that incident and at no time did he mention JR being in the room…If it is true that JR was there, I feel that a call to DCF is in need of being done to get JR out of what could be a very dangerous situation…Do you know first hand if anyone has called DCF regarding this incident?

Seems to me the most logical suspect would be the mothers sides of the family. I mean I read he had custody for three years and she wanted it bad. So bad she even just up and took the kids and he had to go back to court for her to give them back. The FBI should be checking every relative of the mother and every farm house, hen house, out house. It they have not then why not the “Other Side”. I look for motive and that is where it is.

This is beginning to remind me of the Ramsey case. Law enforcement has a one track theory. Therefore, they are stuck at a standstill. They need to stop being stuck on Misty and look at the broader picture.

hopefully misty will feel so alone and cornered that she will talk..for god sake i hope and wish that someone could and would make her speak.. its been 8 months now and its been way to long for haleigh to be “missing” i pray that she is safe somewhere and the truth comes out.. i would hate to see or hear that another poor child is killed for no reason..
honestly i hope the cops really did tell her what you said they said and hope it puts the fear of god i her to just come out and tell it all.. she should see either way shes cornered and either way shes gonna fry for this…

Thanks for the update Art! Based on the information about Ron, I am guessing that Misty may be too afraid to tell what she knows.
It could be that Misty went out for awhile and came home to find Haleigh missing. Misty may be afraid that Ron will use that machine gun on her for leaving the kids alone.
Why is Ron allowed to have an unlocked machine gun? I thought it was illegal for private citizens to own machine guns?

Hi Art,
Great story, but it’s killing me…,why did Tim Miller reveal to a radio station…Donna Brock’s real motive for befriending Misty? Didn’t Misty meet Donna Brock through her dealings with Tim Miller?
If so, why spill the beans?
Also, why didn’t Tim Miller give Ron a polygraph as well when he gave Misty one, with the same reasoning: that he wanted to rule out their involvement before they used Texas Equusearch’s financial resources to search for Haleigh?
Ron’s 20 unanswered phone calls to Misty combined with his making a detour to a convenience store on the way home from work makes no sense to me whatsoever! As a parent, I would have gone straight home to check on my kids.

Lisa–excellent points…TIM TOLD ME IT WAS AN ORLANDO STATION, NOT ONE I RECOGNIZED, AND THAT HE DIDN’T REVEAL IT, BUT THEY BROKE IT–FOUND DONNA’S NAME ON A LIST OF TE VOLUNTEERS…AND TIM LATER CONFIRMED…He says once the road rage happened, it ruined the undercover operation, so no need to hide anymore, and he released me from a promise to keep sources confidential…says for now he’s only speaking on the record with me and Steph Watts, and has turned down numerous requests for network interviews in the last couple of weeks…so stay tuned to The Bald Truth for Tim’s updates. You can continue to pressure someone, that they make up a lie. Many people have confess to crimes they did not commit due to police pressure. Misty will crack with falsehood due to the police incompetents. Did Ronald killed that baby before he went to work. What time did he leave for work?

Just wondering since the following have occured in the last weeks or so one would think that Law Enforcement would now interfere and take Misty into PROTECTIVE CUSTODY as one choice or ARREST her for hindering the criminal case.
1. verbal death threat was made towards Misty (LE has a duty to protect)
2. divorce (risk of spousal death increases during divorce)
3. familial problems
4. lawyer is no longer representing Misty
5. isolation (leads to depression, drugs/alcohol and often suicide
6. control (clearly Ronald is still manipulating and controlling her via text, cell etc.,)
Art–do you know if DCF notified LE (vise-a-versa) about the report made to them regarding Ronald and the gun situation in the presence of Jr., and if so, do you know if LE removed any weapons Ronald may have in his possession? In my last post I belive the answer was the LE simply just blew it off. Doesn’t that become a liability against LE and DCF if something were to happen to Misty or to Jr?

Going undercover to observe a suspect doesn’t always hurt that suspect, sometimes it can help clear them.
Donna Brock could have easily walked away, from this little mission of hers, an enlightened defender of Misty…but did she?
It doesn’t appear so. I understand the compassion felt towards Misty (I have it as well) but with every passing day, that compassion fades.

Ronald Cummings worked at PDM Bridge at the time Haleigh went missing. There are railroad tracks that run adjacent to his work. The same railroad tracks are close to his home in Satsuma. The canine’s lost Haleigh’s scent at the railroad tracks. There is a tressel that goes over water midway. Have the police/Tim of Equesearch checked this out?

We all have relatives like this family…they are in a never-ending cycle of living their lives in violence, drugs, and raising their kids in the same ignorance that they were raised with!! Now it seems as though Junior knows his father’s plan with a gun if/when things don’t go his way! This guy {Ron} has been on Nancy Grace, but has not shown his true colors to her, if he had, I would hope that she wouldn’t give him anymore air time. Ron’s mother Mrs. Neves appears to have both oars in the water, and if she wants to do the right thing for her grandkids, she’d try to get custody of them, I have grand children, if they were being raised in that kind of environment, I would be trying with my lawyer to do just that!! I truly hope that this little angel is found and brought home, I mean to a stable home!

I am really surprised that Tim Miller has released all of this information. And from one reported conversation, far more detail seems to come out each time. And really surprised that he would release any information that was obtained by the Detectives from Misty. Something about this is making me very uncomfortable. Has there been any confirmation about information given to the LE, by the LE? I understood that Tim might well trying to be protective over his image and his companies image involving Donna Brock and their project. I think it is far too late to ever find Haleigh’s little body. When the “party goers” (drugged out and drunk) realized she was dead, they threw her in the gator filled swamp. They all live in that area, and knew the best place to leave her. So, unless one of them “talks”…she will never be found.
However, the reward is quiet high now. Around $70,000. So you never know what scheme one of them will try to come up with to get it. Heaven knows, they don’t want to work for a living! Rest in Peace Precious Haleigh

If I lived in that area I would have a gun too! I hope that when this is over (if ever) that Ron and his family will move far away and try to make a new beginning in a safer area. I think he is a good person at heart and has suffered untold grief. I wish him the very best.

Art, I have a question that has never been answered: concerning that cement block that was holding open the back door, was Misty able to move that block on her own or was it too heavy? If it was too heavy for her, it indicates that someone else was also involved in making this look like a kidnapping.
It does appear that if she is the one responsible, it happened when she was alone with the kids since at this point it would seem that one or two of those druggies she hung with would had spilled the beans by now. Intelligence amongst this group is sadly lacking.
And for the record: watch Misty return to Ron. She has no place else to go at this point. Mom in jail, brother ratting her out, no job, no prospects, no future. Ron will take her back wait and see.

Just unimaginable what goes on behind the scenes of this case. You know, I have seen the recent footage of Misty and
I see a very pretty young lady who from the sounds of it really did have a rough life growing up. Misty this is for you……… I sincerely hope that you had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearence. And if you are cleared in this investigaion, I hope that you can only move forward with your life. Move away from where you live and away from your present so called friends and family. Get a respectable job and work hard at it. Misty……. girl please make good of your life. Stay away rom non-meaningful sexual relationships, drugs and alcohol. I know this seems like an impossible way for you to live life, but you need to do it. You have lived in an adult life too long. You are 17 years old. Please Misty do something positive for yourself. We are only here on this earth for a very short wait. Misty please do this for yourself. Everyone has good in them. You need to find your goodness and make positive changes in your life. If you know something right now that can bring answers in finding Haleigh Please let the authoities know. They can protect you. Maybe you need to be put in protective custody. What did Ron mean by his statement that ” no, he would need it one more time”? Referring to the gun.
On Nancy Grace last night they went over Rons timeline at work. He was not running the crane that night. He was doing various other duties. He was seen throughout the night, but not constantly. He could of left unnoticed and returned. When you are busy at work sometimes you do not realize how much time has passed. IMO whatever happened to Haleigh happened just prior to 8:30pm and that staged argument was about Haleigh and Misty was instructed to turn off her phone. The plan to stage an abduction was on.
If Ron was so worried about where Misty was and called 20 times within a two hour period from 8:30 -10:30pm what made him stop calling? Why would he not continue calling? Why would he choose to work 3 hours past his normal shift and stop off at a convience store before going straight home? None of this makes sense!!
If we go by Mistys testament that she was home all night and everything was locked up, then how would anyone including anyone from Crystals side of the family have gotten in? There was no force of entry to the home.
The BIG RED FLAG for me is that Ron texted Misty to inform her of who Donna Brock was. IMO Ron would of welcomed this plan to find out what Misty knows of Haleighs disappearance. Instead he warns her. Ron sais this is why he married Misty. To see what she knows and referred to her as his enemy.

Art: About Misty and Ron….I know the police cleared Ron, but I feel he also knows more than he is telling. Something really stinks here. For one, if the outside door was held open with a cinder block, what was holding the inside door open? If Misty’s story is true, the kidnapped had to be someone with a key if they always kept their doors locked. Also, the door hadn’t been tampered with. I do believe that Misty is afraid of Ron and that’s why her lie detector tests come back deceptive. I know what it is to be afraid of someone….ask any abused woman that finally got out of the relationship. I don’t believe that Misty’s family is the only one that is dysfunctional. They need to look again at Ron.

What has always bothered me about Misty’s story is not the inconsistencies but just how consistent she is. No matter how many times she tells her story it is always the same word for word. I have always been told that is the sign of a lie. If a person is telling the truth there are things they wont know and they say “I dont know”. but misty has an answer to everything. And she ALWAYS says “I put them to bed at 8 that was their bedtime they had school the next day” word for word. I just dont understand.

I think Ron and Misty both know a lot about what happened to Haleigh. I think both of them and Rons Mother are sickening on TV and just eating up the attention they receive, (and probably money thrown in here and there)both Misty and Rons families are dis-functional and probably most of them are lieing.

I think Putnam County will have to build a new wing, just to house all the family members that will end up arrested by the time this case closes.

a couple of side questions. why hasn’t Ronald been arrested for having sex with a 16 year old? and second, why isn’t LE suspicious that Ron is so evasive about Misty… He TEXTED her to alert her that someone is undercover to help find out more of the TRUTH? It could have cleared Misty as well as implicated her. He said he’d do anything to find Hailey. is he looking? he keeps saying on Nancy Grace that he is leaving things up to LE. even as far as questioning Misty. what he says and his actions are not consistent. He did not have to be present to have something to do with Hailey’s abduction. He does not need to want harm to Hailey to know more. He could be hiding something HE thinks is not important to finding Hailey, but he is hiding something. he does seem to know more… he is older and wiser than Misty and is much better at being stoneface… Misty talks too much. on their first interview, her looking at Ron before saying she did not know why she told conflicting stories is so telling. no one is mentioning that. she was clearly trying to support Ron when she put attention on Hailey’s mother. I hope LE is doing more than we know. They seem so inompetent. I hope it is not so.

Art- can you please clarify anything you know about this dead rat in the mailbox. Has any credible person seen this rat or is it a rumor? It seems like a glaring clue- eh? I mean a CHILD IS MISSING and someone is sending another person a ‘rat and you die’ message!? I’m beginning to wonder if ron & misty are gonna end up on that show ‘wicked attraction’ someday. They both seem to be enjoying the spotlight way too much and refer to the ‘media & cameras’ in every conversation- we just want to know Haleigh is safe & all their secrecy & lying has put the focus on them & their stupid lives. And those 20 phone calls he placed to her the night Haleigh went missing, was that just normal for him to call that much to keep a short leash on her or was there some reason, and WHY hasn’t anyone asked them about this. So frustrating to see these interviewers asking the same questions over and over instead of the ones that could lead somewhere (what was she doing those 3 days she supposedly left? who watched the kids during that time? Did it cause a problem for ron to have to pay someone? how did ron & the kids react to her when she got back? did she have access to a car when babysitting in case there’s an emergency? was she angry at her for ‘peeing’ on the blanket? were the kids easy to put to sleep that night or were they trying to stay up later? was anyone new at Haleigh’s school that day or week? etc). We’ve seen before that sick minded and distressed parents are capable of lying and killing their children (ron & misty certainly qualify on the sick part), maybe he was calling to check up on wether or not she was carrying out some plan they had together. Maybe they need to search along his route to work- maybe he dumped the body somewhere after leaving ‘early’ to get to work? And what does the younger child say happened the last night he saw Haleigh- I know he’s too young to be a credible witness, but he may remember what he did that night before going to bed & if Haleigh was there when he went to sleep, etc.

Art, please explain why Donna Brock, who was the driver of the car involved in the road rage incident, would have chased after that saleswoman Courtney Ballinger the way Courtney she claimed she did -if indeed, Ballinger is telling the truth.
What does this say about Donna’s credibility as an agent for TE? What does Tim have to say about her behavior now? Or was there something else going on here? What do we know about Ballinger’s story?

Hard to believe that a 17 year old hasn’t cracked yet with complete upheaval in her life on a daily basis since February 2009. Maybe it will happen now. If she knew that someone was holding Haleigh and they were “bad people” she could have easily made a deal with LE and Haleigh would be safe right now under state care. For the first time in this case and after many prayers, I believe that this case will not turn out to be a miracle.

No wonder Misty will not talk…would you sleeping in same room with 32 rounds of an assault rifle at the hands of a hothead like Ronald Cummings… He is at fault for this … and Misty is AFRAID to tell the truth… He will kill her… He has said so… Is this not a threat against someone’s life… Witnessed by Mr. T Miller…LE can do something here… They need to Hall Mr. Ronald in… His alibi is not soooo airtight….. A FIGHT prior to going to work.. arrived at work 1/2 hour early… calls 20 times and calls her brother to check… did he not call him back and say no answer… Would he not rush home immediately to check on children or at least come straight home after work… NOT work OVERTIME as reported and stop at store to get beer,ciggerettes and nuts… He stated himself he did… His story DOES NOT add UP either….. I felt during that 911 call he was pulling her hair and battering her at that point forcing her to make that call… covering his own butt… All this is in my own opinion….

Tim Miller tells me she doesn’t dispute losing her cool, and blowing Donna’s Undercover Mama super sleuth role.
She was the driver; Misty, the passenger, so it was the adult who apparently had a meltdown. Maybe the stress of it all got to her; playing double agent with no training, maybe bonding too deeply with her target? Wondering, maybe nervous she’d get made before learning, if there was anything to learn, what happened to Haleigh…?
I understand Misty developed some real affection, even felt spoiled and cared for, getting her hair and nails done, staying in hotels, going to theme parks. Tim says Donna grew to like Misty, felt badly for her handicaps in life, and Misty confided in her new best girlfriend as her marriage to Ronald was going South.
Sources tell me Donna has been regularly talking with investigators, who are losing patience with Misty, even warning her recently that she is in their crosshairs and could spend life in prison if they ever make a case and charge her … unless, that is, she comes clean and lays it all out, or at least what they believe she knows she’s not telling. –Art

I am a Misty supporter. I do not think she hurt that child. I do think she knows something but she is a child herself with no family to support her. I have no idea what happened but Ron sure doesn’t look innocent to me. That cry of his on the call to 911 was fake to me. What father goes into that kind of thing when the child has been missing for an hour or so? Wouldn’t a father be screaming come now and help me without the tears? Most men use their brains and not their heart at times like this. It is usually the mother that falls apart. And please, the following day falling down on his lawn in such pain? We had a man here in our area (Coleman case) do the same thing. Falling on the lawn, crying his eyes out, unable to speak and guess what? He had just murdered his beautiful wife and two sons.
Misty comes from such a horrid background. She has been educationally deprived. She may have a language disability and is unable to form the sentences correctly time after time. And she may be out right lying. Scared child. Scared. I wish I was well and able to grab her and be her mother. So sad.

Misty is 18 but she acts and talks more like a 10 year old. She may have trouble expressing herself like you say. And yes, she is a scared child.
Maybe it is something as simple as her inability to communicate that has caused her problems but I have to think the police have something pretty solid they can use against her.
She is terrified of Ron and terrified of the cops and what she knows they know. Maybe this is why she has trouble expressing herself in a clear manner. Terror.
It seems Misty is the type of person who would respond much better to kindness rather than threats.

ok now I’m so confused, If Im reading this right, It says Ronald text Misty in the middle of an interview with CBS , and told her about this Donna person, What the heck would he do that for??? Wouldn’t he want this person to follow Misty to get any information from her. Does he not want her to say something that would incriminate her. Maybe Ronald and Misty both know what happened and he is keeping her close so she DOESN’T SPILL THE BEANS!!!! And the whole incident with the gun, and JR being in the room, is insane. That little boy is in a total mess everyday of his life. I can’t believe he is still in the house, where is sister was taken in the middle of the night. He should be living with his mother, where he can be safe. This whole story is so crazy!!! I don’t understand how Misty is walking around free, lying to everyone, and getting away with it. While her whole family goes to jail, one by one. They cant’ find anything to pin on Misty. Maybe a few days in jail will scare her into telling what happened and implicating ALL involved.

Art, have they absolutely cleared the AC guy? Misty said he was in the home alone while she sat outside. I think he could’ve opened the back door & left it unlocked while he was working there. While he was working he could’ve found the brick under or around the home while working on the AC. I know our AC guy sometimes uses the other door while he’s here. He could’ve been watching Haylee playing outside & set it up to return later. Or, knowing Misty’s reputation, maybe her & the AC guy got together & Haylee caught them. That would explain how the back door got unlocked since Ron & Misty swear it’s always locked.

I read every single comment & thinking if Ron is so dangerous-Why not try & protect there interest in Misty and put her in a Safe house as she has no where to go and nobody seems to be reliable to her/ trust worthy. Maybe away from everyone she can sit and clear her mind, Feel safe enough to talk. If she goes back to Ron whom is said to be an Abuser, won’t he just sit and control and threaten her and scare her more, this story will never end cause I do believe Ron knows alot more.
And Misty right now is scared. It seems like every interview she has done, she is actually giving out hints of that night. Does anybody else notice this? I can imagine being interogated by Police would be scary, they imtimidate you , make you feel false reality’s etc.
What is strange about Ron is that, When he finds out Haleigh is missing from the 911 tape, he completely loses it but in that Homicidal way and now You see him, He smirks & acts like he can take on the World and gives that look of “I know who you are and I’m coming for You” very cocky & know I don’t like it.
Something just isn’t right with this Whole story as it just keeps going around & around, almost like they want for months to go by. The more months the better.
My 2 cents anyway is: Ron even going out with a 16 yr old at the start is very disgusting anyway, she was a Child and still is. … Then to have her (misty) a Child herself watching Children is utmost the stupidest thing ever. And Why in gosh name would she be lying in a bed with his son too. We all know it should of been other way around. NO EXCUSE for that.
How is it possible that these Young Adults can actual outsmart -Detectives, Police & Cadaver Dogs etc-HOW??
Either the Police have messed this up, just like the Jon Bene case or they know something more and just aren’t releasing it. Cause Criminals are not that smart and this cannot be the Perfect crime, no way!! or Can it?? Umm…
I Pray for Haleigh’s safe return and this all ending very soon and for All involved be locked up so far away & forever.
And Someone needs to go and Get Lil Butterbean and that damn Gun, before there is another tragedy and this Police Station & The State needs to stop fooling around with these Peoples and show them who is the Power in Town.

art, i know psychic have been said to try to help locate little haleigh, but i was wondering if anyone has tried contacting psychic noreen rainer? she is been known to solve crimes accurately includeing the scott peterson case. lacy petersons mother contacted her and noreen told her scott had killed laci and saw her body wrapped up and on a boat. after that lacis mother dropped contact with noreen in disbelief. then guess what.. she was right on.she actually has a very good tract record and it sure couldnt hurt at this point. actually with her track record solving crime it could be very beneficial.i really wish someone would look into this. its worth the try.

I am not at all happy with LE and DCF for blowing off Rons death threats. They need to take this serious! Jr needs to be removed NOW! NOT later! Their heads will roll if Ron carries out his threats!! They think AMERICA is angry NOW! They have not seen the half of it.
Gahoundawg: Misty has her own cell phone she did not need a quarter. In order to make a local call on a pay phone it takes two quarters . I am sure Misty gave instructions to where she needed to be dropped off and I am sure Ron had Misty picked up. Whatever plan Ron has come up with he and Misty are in it together. I do feel some sympathy for this young girl, but she has done this to herself. Only she can change her future. NOW WHERE IS HALEIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not calling into question your skills in reporting, but I am having a hard time grasping the things you have written.
Let’s see, being local Orlando I believe I saw Miller several times in local media whining over what it was costing him to search for Caylee Anthony. Roll local media outlet tape if you want to see what I believe to be whining yourself. Compare that to, IMO, opposite comments about costs for Caylee on Nancy Grace when asked or subject came up.
Then in this Haleigh situation, same guy seems spends money buying disposable phones for Ron and Misty, pays their way to Orlando etc., pays for tests, then later engages this Brock gal and pays expenses to trot Misty around?
Meanwhile he implies some connection to Putnam investigators, even though Putnam SO knows the gal is legally represented. Is this with the approval of the area State Attorney?
Do I have this right? Because if so, I never seen or heard of such outright absurdity.
BTW 1: It has been over 6 weeks since August 18, here at Nejame’s office wherein Miller and/or Nejame stated he would search again ( For Haleigh ) when conditions improve in 4 to 6 weeks…Seen any searching going on in the last week or two?
BTW 2: If he were going to engage, IMO, in his spy vs. spy stuff did you swallow hook line and sinker the explanation given for outing his spy or just part of the hook? He could just as easily answered Brock had volunteered for him but he did not feel comfortable saying anything more about her or about TES volunteers generally. But appears as though, NO, gosh, just had to out her.
BTW 3: Do people who donate to Miller/TES know money is being spent on what seems his whims to do his own investigating, when it seems people who donate think the money will be used for actual search efforts for missing people?

Will you please tell Nancy Grace and her reporter Maria Schaivo that LE has never used the word ‘cleared’ in relation to Ronald? Both have continously stated that Ronald has been cleared. That is not true. Even Ronald’s lawyer, Shoemaker, stated that Ronald has been moved from the top of the so called list to the bottom but is still on the list. When I hear Nancy and Maria keep saying that Ronald has been cleared, I want to throw something through the TV screen. Next time you are on the show, will you please clear this up????

I really used to like Tim Miller, but after this stunt he pulled I am now believing he is only in this for publicity and money. Did he use money that people has donated to Equa-search to pay for her little vacation? If so this is totally disgusting.Before he looses all credability he needs to distance himself from these people, if he is really in this to just help people, but if he is in this just to help himself, then stay on and do what he’s doing.

I am no expert so I am just thinking out loud here but aside from the area near and around the MH and outlying areas has there been any other searches of areas familiar to and/or known to have been frequented by any of the family members?
Also Art I am wondering if we have any confirmation on the actual area where Teresa Neves was living at the time that Haleigh was reported missing?
Some are saying Teresa Neves was living on Rita lane in Crescent City. Do you know if that is correct?

You Know I don’t understand Why Hasn’t the state of Florida removed Jr from that Unfit Father, Or Moreover Why hasn’t Crystal gone after Custody, under this situation, voicing her fears for her son, Or for that matter how about Her Parents the Sheffields, to try to get custody of their Grandson, or are they to busy Moving to another state. I Know Being a Grandparent, And I have custody Of my two Grandchildren, I’d be there in court faster than the speed of light, If I thought for a split Second that My Grandchild was in harms way!!, And Doesn’t The state of Florida Know they CAN be held accountable Should Something happen to that child?. I think with all the all the investigations held about Ron’s Parenting Skills by the state of Florida, and they Kept turning a blind eye to the fact that he was and Still is a Unfit parent, Because of Haleigh being missing, that they would slap a Charge upon him that would make his eyes cross, and remove the son as well. No Something isn’t right at all in this hole mess, with every one concerned. The State of Florida Will have a Law suit slapped against them in one way or another If they Don’t Do Something soon, regarding this hole mess and that Little Boy Should anything happen to him. And Rightly So!!!
What has the Cummings or Ron’s Mother have on or or who in the state of Florida, that their afraid to act on this hole mess! anyone or any wheres else heads would have been rolling along time before NOW!Mark My Word, and Misty would Not have walked out of a tegration like she did! and Ron needs to be integrated as well!.

D: I asked sources close to the case about Baker Act possibilities, but this happened in August, and for Baker Act action, the complaint or investigation has to occur right after an incident, when the person appears to be a threat to him or herself or others. Laura Marie, I do not think Donna set up Misty. Donna may of lost her temper with the other driver due to the fact it was reported she almost hit them. No excuse for their demeanor. This only tells me that Misty is a follower. I am not sure that the road rage was as violent as the victim claimed. Usually I-4 is very busy. It is hard for me to believe that no other driver on the free- way did not phone in this 30 minutes of road rage with the alleged driver hanging out of the window yelling and flipping off the alleged victim. I would think someone else on the highway would of spotted this. JMO
CC: In fact, Donna tells Tim the other driver failed to yield when lanes merged and nearly ran her off the road, sparking the rage, though she downplays the drama. Miller figures the caller saw Misty and recognized her and went into orbit. Ron is a loose cannon …. I don’t think he is telling the truth and has threatened Misty into covering for him. I wonder when the last time someone outside the family saw Haleigh the day/evening she disappeared? Did any neighbors or the AC repairman actually see her after he left for work? I know police say he has been cleared, but I think he knows exactly what happened to Haleigh. I think Jr. needs to be taken away from him. I can’t believe that he would say and do what he did to TM in front of Jr.

I’m starting to wonder if ron would be so eager to keep ‘Haleigh’s face out there’ if Nancy Grace was suspicious of him rather than defending him all the time. This guy seems to be silencing and controlling everyone! If he placed a dead rat in the mailbox it’s kind of consistent with the threats he made in front of Tim Miller & his son (which was also a direct message to keep his mouth shut as well). All this time he says he doesn’t think there’s any more to misty’s story it’s almost like he’s telling her there’s no more to her story. ‘Keep your friend’s close and your enemies closer’ maybe an enemy is someone who has knowledge that could put you in prison for life, eh? Then he text’s her to prevent any further info from being spilled? If NG & others keep allowing him to play the victim, they might be throwing up a roadblock for people who are under his threats & see all this support he’s getting. Maybe LE & NG can play this in a way where misty or other’s can feel SAFE to tell the truth, take the pressure off her & put it onto him:) then she’ll know she’s not alone. They’ve gotta give her a way to tell the truth & keep everyone else safe, esp the little boy, because if one child is already hurt/ killed it’s totally possible…

I also think that none of Ron’s behavior is that of a father with a missing child. I know that no one can predict how you would act in such a situation, but to me all of his behavior is way off base. The think that stands out to me the most is how fast they left the trailer that they were living in when Haleigh disappeared.

This comment section blows my mind. I can only hope and pray most people are smarter then this. All those people that point to Crystal..Wouldn’t she take both kids. You say shes a horrible person but Ronald has been arrested 29 times and left a drugged out 17 year old hooker to protect his kids. Ronald has guns in the room with Jr and nobody in that family works. So keep copy and pasting sheffields arrest records. Trying pasting Ronald’s. The judge and DCF really are failing that poor kid. He should not be there. I think people should demand to know why Jr is still with a lowlife like his father. If Ronald and Theresa would have protected Haleigh like they are always protecting Misty NONE of this would have happened.

My wife and I have two different sides on this case, however we both feel this is sick! Tim Miller…You disgust me! I once saw you as a good man looking to solve grieving parents to find their children who had been murdered. You are not the FBI. You are not the LE and you are not a hero of mine anymore. Another media man on the loose. I hope your funds dry up and karma comes around.
I feel sorry for the family and especially for the parents who are being put through this circus and it’s just plain sick!
And to the Fat Mama. Go on a diet in a jail cell. It seems to me that Misty and the family has a lawsuit!

I’m thinking to get Misty locked up on purpose. This way, she is away from Ron and feeling like she is protected. Then maybe she will start to talk. Keep hope alive for baby Haleigh. Hopefully, this case will catch a break and we’ll find out what happened to her. Silence will not do it so keep reporting on it. As usual, you’re doing a fine job on this.

I would love to know why Ron sent a text to Misty about Donna Brock ??? You would think that he would want her “DONNA BROCK” to find out all she could from Misty…. I have thought from the beginning that Ron had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance… BUT now this makes me wonder is Ron hiding something?

I wish Misty would talk..But… Why would others try to do Detective work.. Maybe a Hero if they get their answer, but may be tormented if Misty can’t handle all of this.. I think everyone should leave the Detective work to the Detectives. Even if LE knew about this Operation Misty. It’s an awful thing to carry in your heart if the one you we’re trying to get info out of gives up on life. Ya, We all want to know where Haleigh is, but getting personally envolved is another thing, there has to be some acountability in these types of covert operations too. ConcernedCitizen: Maybe Misty stole a quarter off of the Van floor, before being dumped her off at the gas station, so Gahoundawg knew she only needed one more quarter? And why would you pretend and befriend her, then dump her?? If one is worried about Misty holding the truth, man your playing Russian Roulette? The cops just want to put somebody in jail. They don’t care if it’s Misty or anybody else; in other words, they don’t give a damn who’s guilty. I had to laugh when Ronald’s mother called Misty’s family “dysfunctional.” Here’s her son with three out-of-wedlock children by two different teenagers, and living with a third underage teenager who was expected to be a free maid and babysitter for two of his children. He’s been arrested himself. Trust me, Ronald doesn’t exactly go around with a halo over his head and as for dysfunctional, that’s Ronald Cummings’ middle name.
Ronald’s mother works for the police and is in a position to warn her son about drug busts and other such action. How many times has she saved Ronald from arrest? Or gotten her cop buddies to reduce charges? This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Misty is an absolutely vulnerable, helpless teenager who has landed herself in a terrible mess. I do not believe she killed Haleigh. While there may have been an accident and a cover-up, I believe Misty is telling the truth when she says the cops should lay off and focus on somebody or something else.

Furthermore: I agree with people who say that Junior should be taken from that idiot father of his. Ronald Cummings is a brutal adult male who makes threats constantly. He HAS to be taken seriously by police, or there will be bodies lying around various trailer parks in Satsuma and Palatka and points north, south, east and west. Everytime something goes wrong in his life, he’s threatening to murder someone, and he has weapons to carry out his threats. Ronald Cummings, drug user and God only knows what else he’s into, should never have been given custody of those two little kids. Neither should their biological mother. And what idiot in Social Services decided that a sixteen year old live-in girlfriend was a proper substitute mother for those children?
Bottom line: what the hell is going on in Palatka and Satsuma? Police, child welfare– they’re all to blame.

The gun incident Miller witnessed with Ronald confirms my thoughts that Misty is afraid of Ronald, and will stick to any story he gives her..For a couple going through a divorce, he keeps in contact with her often, which is somewhat unusual..He seems to want to make sure she doesn’t screw up his story, or “their” story..
I have mentioned this early on in the investigation..I have not received an answer…The only answer given was, “Ronald has an alibi for being at work”..What I would like to know is, what is his alibi from the time Haleigh was picked up at the bus stop, until 7pm when Ron reported for work…His Pastor was on a talk show right after it happened, and stated, “Ronald went to work at 7pm and worked his eight hour shift”…The Pastor was never heard from again in the media..G’G'mother, Sykes stated she was there briefly around 7:30pm, and the A/C man was there…Has it been established what time the A/C man was there?
I think whatever happened to Haleigh, it happened BEFORE Ron went to work…NG, states repetiously with her guests that Ron was at work…She has asked him a few times…Why doesn’t she ask him what he was doing from around 3:30 until 7pm, before he went to work? It could explain why Ron didn’t rush home, after calling Misty twenty times, and getting no answer..I would have rushed home after the first call, and no answer, as I think many would have..Also, stopping off for beer and cigs before going home, even working overtime seems strange to me, when he doesn’t know where his children are, and if they are safe..Twenty unanswered calls to the babysitter of his children?? Misty is hiding information, but it isn’t all about Misty..She, and Ronald know more than they are saying…If Misty goes to jail she will not go alone…Bet the ranch on that!

Maybe the police can not break Misty’s story because she is telling the truth. How can a seventeen year old uneducated,probably abused girl outsmart the police for so long? Haliegh is not the frist child taken while caretakers slept. I don’t think Misty harmed the child herself,but she may know more than she is telling. I feel sorry for Misty. Where is she staying nowthat she has no one?

I ,living in Putnam County, am very concerned on how this case of a missing little Angel has been handled. With that said I do know there is a great amount of information or details that the PCSO cannot release, however this is a small county of 70,000 and unfortunately news travels fast, often the facts being over exagerated as the news spreads.
Please let us all remember the main focus that a Precious Angel is missing. The drama that has unfolded in this case is embarassing not only to residents of the county but LE as well.
There has been no definite time of when haleigh went missing , the only time accounted for was between 8pm to 3am, the only other fact is the last person to see Haleigh was Misty.
It was reported that Misty was on a party spree for three days leading up to the day Haleigh went missing, however and no one has reported this ,but if you listen to the interview at the airport ,misty makes a statement ” After this weekend the truth will be told by my lawyer and the truth of that weekend will be told.”
I am left wondering now if the lawyer/client priveledges are null and void and the lawyer was at the moment he canceled all services that he obligated to share any information to LE?
I think Tim Miller did the right thing by having one of his volunteers get close to Misty ,however I disagree with the timing of that informaton being released to the public.
The night of the search ,it was reported that the cadaver dogs followed a trail/scent to the edge of the river, I do know as it was reported that a search of a five mile radius was conducted including the river ,however being raised on the river and an avid boater/fisherman ,I will tell you that at that time of year there was a full moon and the tide was going out, north, that the current with all those factors is very strong.
In ending, our prayers continue to go out to that Precious Angel and her well being and brought safely back to family that can care for her, and if anyone has just a small piece of information that they beleive could be valuable or information that they may not think is relevant but could add something more to information already given, we all ask that it all be shared with the proper authorities.

I have always thought (unpopularly) that something happened to Haleigh BEFORE Ron went to work. Maybe Ron lost his temper, he and Misty were fighting, poor Haleigh was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Since Haleigh is still missing there is no way to prove absolutely that she was alive when Ron went to work. There is no other explanation for Ron’s marrying a girl who can’t take of herself much less his children. I beleive he married her to make sure she kept quiet about what really happened. Then, the marriage makes some kind of sense. Can a wife testify against her husband? Add now the recent text message he sent to Misty warning her of the true identity of her “new friend”. I also believe that Ron is a dangerous man. We may never know the truth about what happened. It’s too bad Ron blew the whistle on Tim’s plan. I truly think that Misty felt safe and cared for with Donna and she may have confided in Donna with the truth. Now, Misty won’t trust anyone. Pray for Haleigh.

TS–First, what happens before a marriage is NOT protected when it comes to testifying about a spouse. Second, LE has a Haleigh siting late afternoon riding her bike around the hood and playing with cousins. Brother Tommy drops by to smoke a little pot with Misty, according to several sources, including his family, about 6 p.m., then grandma Sykes comes by with a batch of clothes to drop off about 7-7:30p…that’s what she told LE so she’s the last person who saw Haleigh. MASSACHUSSETS…another Haleigh sighting; how could all of this be coinciding with everytime a Croslin family member moves to a state, there is a HALEIGH SIGHTING???? What is going on here??? It is just way tooooo coincidental that of all the places for reported Haleigh sightings, these have been precisely in the same timeline as these Croslin family members have traveled to these states, Tennessee, and Massachussetts. What are the odds of a Haleigh sighting in a Mass. Walmart right after Chelsea and Timmy Croslin relocate there??? IMO, way too much of just a “coincidence.”

Tim Miller has gotten out of control with the way he handles things ever since he got involved with the Kayle Anthony search.He is trying to play cop.by him doing this it could have risked the police investigation into Haleigh’s disappearance.I do not blame Mark Klass one bit for being so angry about what Tim Miller didI believe misty did something to haleigh but for tim miller who claims to w ant to find haleighto take a risk if haleigh is still alive by trying to trick the person that has the answer is just purely insane.I think law enforcement should ban him from getting involved at all

I think Ron did marry Misty to keep her quiet. I think he is still keeping her quiet. There is no way that Misty believes the divorce is anything but to make a good outcome for herself and Ron. My feeling is that Ron played a major role and has talked Misty into being part of it with threats and a heavy dose of guilt.
Again, I believe that Misty has a language disorder and rather severe due to not receiving proper help. If you speak with a little one with this disorder, they are notorious for being in the middle of a story, jumping to the end, then to the beginning, back to the middle…and it goes on and on. As a parent that raised a child with this disorder (he is now a college graduate…top of his class and no the disorder does not go away), it becomes so frustrating to listen that you want to scream. You have to remember, this disorder is like having wires disconnected in your brain. For one without it, we just go to file a, b, c, d. One with this order, goes from d, b, c, then a. And no, a story never sounds right as you have to be patient. I used to want to scream….and THE ENDING IS????

I also want to add that the more stress a child with this disability is under, the harder it is to understand them. If they are called upon in a classroom, they KNOW the words won’t come out right. It becomes a high stressed situation for them. The answer they give due to the disorder and stress may not even match the question. Even at my son’s age (28), I would hate to think of him taking a poly. The stress level would be so high. Someone needs to do a bit of study on it for Misty’s sake.

I give Misty 2 weeks before something cracks. She has no lawyer, she has no family behind her, and she is uneducated. She will talk herself right into a cell before you know it. Kudos to Tim Miller for pulling that off, too bad it didn’t yield the info he hoped for. … That poor sweet baby never had a chance in this disgraceful family. On a lighter note, does anyone else hear the ‘Deliverance’ theme song everytime you hear them speak. But, okay back to the serious side of this. I really know Misty is holding more than she is able and she will break. If she doesn’t confess she will talk her self in a circle. This has too many similarities to Caylee. Let’s pray some sort of good comes from this awful tragedy, please find Hayleigh!!!

I agree with Mary, about the Hayleigh sightings that coincided with a Croslin move. Always the same state, always around the same time a Croslin moved to TN or MA. LE is not stupid! I mean, these are unfortunately not the smartest group. I do not think they are quicker than LE. I hope LE has abit more clues than they are telling the public. Has LE investigated the similarities in sightings to Croslin family moves? Misty is dropping more and more clues each interview.

All I know is that I am not allowing a search company to be involved if the horrid should happen to my family…No way!!!! People say & do crazy things in situations like this. What if a person just vented stuff at random? It turns out the company can be watching you and testify to it, completely twist it & it is some one else’s perception of it not to mention it is someone not feeling the grief the Parent is. Police work with these companies & allow that & encourage them to do that? Does a person have to involve the Police past reporting the abduction because I would be a bit frightened to involve the Police, very scary stuff.

When Nancy Grace asked Teresa Neves if Misty’s new “friend” was independently wealthy…Neves smiled and said, “no but her husband is.” So Neves seems to have known well ahead who the friend was and how the trips were financed…therefore, Ron must have also known who she was.
And a question for you (to Tim Miller)..If Ron made the gun threat in August then why did he leave Misty in danger until October???? That does not make any sense! Sorry to day I am fast losing respect for Tim.
I hear that Ron and Misty are going to get a Reality Show!! What a cast of misfits that will be. But it will keep the missing Haleigh’s name in the public….IF they mention her name.
And all the while little Haleigh is still missing.

When was the last time anyone besides Ron or Misty saw Haleigh? I am starting to have a lot of doubts about Ron-he has a terrible temper. He could have done something to Haleigh before he went to work and used Misty to cover his story and dispose of the body so he could get to work on time and have an alibi.

I think you’re doing a superb job of keeping “in the know” with the Haleigh Cummings case,as well as an excellent job reporting any&all details from the day to day,minute by minute goings on throughout this heart wrenching case. A case that SO MANY of us have become emotionally involved with.. Its quite obvious that the Haleigh case is extremely polarizing and ranges from Misty Croslin’s complete guilt¬hing but extreme sympathy for Ron Cummings all the way to the other end of the spectrum of believing Misty’s COMPLETE INNOCENCE&having Ron Cummings tried,convicted&wanting him put to death. I full well believe in Ron’s innocence in the disappearance of Haleigh,though this latest tidbit of info of Ron texting Misty “outing”Donna as a planted spy I truly DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF THAT????

I am so glad to finally have a forum to post my opinion on this matter, and here it is… As for the cummings/croslins they are a bunch of stupid hillbillies! I live in Satsuma so I know this place is full of them everywhere, including our fabulous Sheriff’s Dept(joke). What really disgusts me however are people like Nancy Grace and yourself. You both act like you are so concerned, but I am sure the only thing that concerns either one of you about any of this is how much you can exploit it for profit! Hell has a special place for the both of you, wish you’de both hurry up and get there.

Art, you are exactly right about Baker Act laws. The Baker Act only is available for immediate threats, however what about the Marchman Act being an option? Between his drug use, threats of violence to himself and others, and his overall pshycotic behavior could possibly convince a judge that Ron needs help. This Marchman Act can be a challenge to prove, but if someone really cares what could happen to JR, Misty, Ron, and who ever the others he was refering to saying he would take with him, it is really worth it. Using the Marchman Act is really a great option for Ron because he really is a time-bomb waiting to blow up. I think LE better be prepared when child welfare takes JR!!! SCARY!!

Her brother who was arrested for stealing a gun ,, he was there that day, he also asked misty to come baby sit that night at his house,, she had to ask ron,,,,, he was at work… Brother could of planned to come rob Rons gun with or without the cousin as it is said they stole it before.. and while he was there that day at Rons, he could of unlocked the door, plan being- while misty was at his house baby sitting, he or he and his cousin or whom ever could of came back and get in later, he knows they dont use the door.
Then Ron fights with Misty saying no I dont want and the kids over at Tommys. I want u home.. Well she gets mad but stays home,, goes to bed as she said,, Ron repeatedly calls, she had phone off so he cant get to her.. Well he calls Tommys to see if she went there. Tommy realise oh wow she went out.. and he enters the dark home thining she is out, he flicks on the light to look for the gun, walks over to the the bedroom, sees oh gosh Misty is here sleeping, oh when she sleeps at our house she sleeps deep..sees that pretty little girl laying there, The guy hated Ron, what a better way to get back at someone u hate then threw their child ,,, This is not based on fact,, just my opinion.. I dont see why everyone is looking at Misty…. Funny croslins family van was scratched that night, van had under brush on it,, and owner of the van said keys was moved and so was the van….

Art, why is this coming out now when poor crystal has been saying the same story with the gun in the mouth and Amber during interview?
My lord, I’ve done many interview with crystal about that. Type of control since march and look where we are now. Now maybe someone will believe that beautiful mother who had very good reasons to fight for custody. I was her advocate and my job was to help bring awarness to what Crystal endured. I’m just hope that next time I tell my clients nightmare she lived someone will listen before someone gets killed; liked a child playing with a gun! Keep up the reporting. Undercover Momma? I, myself, would re-think the strategy if this woman is the best candidate to extract information from Misty Cummings. There’s nothing like blending in, and keeping under the radar. Misty, along with her family, have just been given valid reasons to distrust anyone with questions. What a terrible slide backwards!

What puzzles me is the prior offenses and lifestyle pattern. One may wonder how they passed a drug test. Does anyone know if they came up clean or if “clean up herbs” were purchased near the time the child went missing? With the past history of family violence and custody they would have known a drug test would soon follow. Perhaps, if they had failed the drug test it would look more realistic that an abduction really did happen during the said time frame. I have not seen details regarding the children having been awake and responsive during the grandmother’s visit. The third question is the missing child’s teacher’s report on the level of the child’s alertness in class the day she went missing. The fourth question is, What was purchased on ride home from work? Did he stop casually at a convience store? Did the store have a camera? What was the babysitters standard method of punishment? Small children often challenge going to bed. The headless rat placed in the mailbox is very strange. Was this to address the person was a rat? Why does he seem to have a blind trust in this woman that had last seen his child? One cannot understand why the missing child’s sibling is not returned to the natural mother, where he can enjoy the companionship of his sibling.

oh my…I don’t think Ron’s involved with what happened to Haleigh. I don’t think Misty’s directly involved either. let’s consider this: brother ADMITS to be at trailer at time Misty says she’s sleeping. He says lights are off, he bangs on door. Teresa Neves says on NG “I think the kids would have woken up” if somebody was banging on the door. Maybe Haleigh did wake up and let Tommy in…Misty wakes up (or comes home, because how did she know the screen door was propped open if main door was closed?) to light on in kitchen and backdoor propped open.
Conclusion: Tommy comes to house, Misty is passed out or not home, he breaks in (or is let in by Haleigh) and turns on light, abducts Haleigh!!!

and btw…my ex and i used to argue all the time, it IS possible that Ron just figured Misty was ignoring his calls and didn’t want to risk losing his job by rushing home

Art, you are still the best journalist in the pool in my eyes. Thank you for asking me how I am. It’s a slow recovery but it is a recovery. As long as I remain stress free (LOL if that possible) yesturday my doc said hopefully I will not need an operation for 2 more years. I do have a donor match who just so happens to be a long time friend for a liver slice transplant should that be required. God bless true friends.
There is a difference in a reporter, blogger, journalist, author and novelist. I find your work to be that of a fine journalist/reporter who follows leads and remains dedicated to those who request anonymity while sharing the truth. Sadly a few who have requested annonymity and due to the scrutny or others demanding more information, some have had to go public on your site to prove they are – who they say they are.
This comment is more on the lines of what others have said or implied while judging advoocate’s and journalist’s character on other sites and in a verbal interviews.
If you do not mind me setting the record straight as I was there before the drama had begun that has now taken the focus off this missing child and another child who IMO is in danger.
People often run off the mouth before thinking of what the out come would be and in turn the after affect can cause serious damage to someones reputation. I am making two points.
1. As a mandated reporter I called Tim Miller and demanded -by message – that he speak with the police regarding Mistys safty because I had already heard what Crystal has stated in her interviews and then Amber about the way Ronald used the guns previously with them. I am not sure if my demand caused a ripple affect since it was reported and no action that I know of was taken.
I think a lot of us advocates who have endured a traumatic jolt due to our child being harmed, abused, raped, kidnapped and/or murdered often bring up subconscious flash backs of protecting somoeone else from harm and it jades or clouds our thinking. I am not sure what the comings and goings are of this case because the lanes merge or a new bridge become a new chapter in this long running soap opera and just when we think the truth is right in our face something or someone distorts it or present new evidence and we just sctratch are head and try and remain focused on HaLeigh and not the people who have become a part of this case, that had stayed or moved on.
2. Let me go back to March 11 2009. Now that I am reading from start to finish of this case on as many sites possible to catch me up to speed. I have been out of the loop since March of 2009 with most of it.
I am appalled with the notion that you came in on this case due to momey or because someone had to lure you in on this case. I say this emphatically because I spoke to you first regarding this case and it was approved by my client not because of anyone who handed me the cell and asked me to speak with you. I was reaching out to any and all media, which was why I there, in hopes that this case would be picked up and whoever heard what I witnessed, would stay on top of the case and not let go and I knew you were just the man I could count on due to our professional relationship, not because of anyone elses relationship and/or money exchanging hands. You wrote this prior to visiting Satsuma in which I asked if you could join me to meet those I had already interviewed and report it.
I am deeply sorry. If I had not known then what drama you may have had to endure due to my incapacitation and the amount of pain control I was on so I could endure the tests my doctors requested prior to them risking my operation, I would have made this comment on your behalf a long time ago.
Which brings me full circle. Did any of us know at the end of the day this case would be (as I am reading) larger than life with no control whatsoever?
Life is like the movie crash. We all must endure skepticism as to why anyone of us stood on the behalf of Jr. and Crystal. Some wish to remain annonymous in this quest, while others are willing to risk their lives being put under a microscope.
My work began the day I stepped off the plane and ended the day you agreed to give this mother a chance to tell her side of the story and I can only hope the other advocates who have offered their help – that their reputaion and devotion by becomming an advocate will shine through without scrunity that again takes the light off of America’s missing child HaLeigh Marie Cummings.
Never let anyone forget why you took the case and post the link for your readers to see for themselves that I too asked for annonymity, however, I also had to speak publically to spare anyone from thinking that the story was some type of hoax to lure a reporter by money or greed.
I will see you in Florida as we all pray justice will be served durng the Anthony trial. Venti Mocha, extra shot, extra shot with whip cream!

Here is something that has been bugging me. At some point it was said that Haleigh had her blanket. Then it was said her blanket was in the van. However, there was no van. Lindsay said it looked like her van had been moved that night. Is it possible that something happened with Haleigh, Tommy went over there because of the phone call, to find Misty needed help. Therefore together they did something with Haleigh. So thats how thats how the red rose was known to Misty. So in this time frame Ronald is driving home,to arrive moments after Misty got home, and thats why she was standing in the door. Therefore this is why Ronald passed his test, Misty failed hers, and the saga continues. Could this be a possibility?

Pathetic! You are so afraid of the truth you won’t post a simple question concerning you ever changing stories. A true reporter never takes sides as you have with Miller. You have defended a person who injected himself into the personal lives of a missing child, the same person who only response to Mark Klass is F_ Mark? what an upstanding man you defend! but you can not defend your lack of journalist integrity.
Your site should be titled The Bald Liar.

Bravo Tim Miller! And my hats off to Donna too! I also believe that if Misty has anything more to say it will only be retrieved with kindness and NOT bullying. If she has held back on anything I believe it has to do with Ron himself. Why would he tip Misty off about Donna?? What would that accomplish?? For Misty to shut her mouth, hmmm, wonder why Ron would want that, if he wanted the truth from Misty like he’s been feeding Nancy Grace?? Ron and Misty may be hiding nothing more than drug abuse while the kids were in their custody, who knows what they are hiding? Misty really is a child, let’s face it. Now after this little Somer case I wonder??? Maybe Misty did go out, and left the door open and that would produce horrible guilt I am sure which would definately show in her poly and voice stress tests.
