Exclusive: Divorce Looms for Misty, Ronald Cummings?

As we’ve been reporting, the honeymoon was over for Ronald and Misty Cummings last week, despite happy spin from his family, kiss kiss photo ops to camouflage the couple’s deepening divide and some media cheerleaders who kept parrotting the Cummings party line that Misty just needed some space, and that her husband aimed to join her on the road in Orlando for quality time at Universal Studios.
Meanwhile, The Bald Truth was reporting exclusively that their fighting had escalated to the point of near breakup, and in one heated phone call, we learned, Ronald told Misty not to come back.
Now, divorce is in the wind, with journalist Steph Watts, an old friend, sitting down with Misty to get the rest of the story in a Satsuma interview, that it’s over for them, with her family’s dysfunction cited as the key reason.
As we’ve reported in our last two exclusives, publically, Ronald tried to keep up a front, dodging questions from Nancy Grace as a guest on CNN Headline News about any suspicions he might harbor that his wife knew more than she was telling about what happened to his missing six year old.
But privately he was seething, our sources were reporting, suspicious his wife might be lying to him, about so many things, including knowing nothing about what happened to his baby girl, while police also put the white hot glare of suspicion on her, too.
When I asked Ronald months ago why he was hanging tight, why he was overlooking so much doubt, he just said he was keeping his friends close and his enemies closer, afraid if Misty left, he’d never find out what happened to Haleigh. Then she agreed to take a polygraph, then waffled about it, infuriating Ron’s grandmother, Annette Sykes who fumed that if she could have a few hours to do what needed to be done, Misty would talk.
“I said, ‘Whoa, grandma,’ we don’t need to do anything like that,’” Tim Miller recalled, in an exclusive interview with The
Bald Truth, after organizing the polygraphs she would flunk miserably for Texas Equusearch, which I’m told also orchestrated the psychological pressure Misty was feeling over the last few weeks–that also took a toll on Ronald and his family.
Seph Watts reports Ronald is actually filing for divorce any day now.
Why are we not surprised?

Now, I have a question.. Just what does this mysterious woman, (whom we could get her full name from Tim Miller) and Steph Watts really think they are going to get out of Misty?
Is she so young and emotionally immature, (stuck with no place else to go), (staying with a Friend?) who in imo has pretty well set this up with Watt’s to pull info out of her, and she has no idea she is being pretty well set up? How long before misty figures this out? This isn’t Rocket Science either.. Clear as a Bell.. And we also know that Watts is very clear in knowledge that misty does have an attorney!!
First of all, lets make this very clear, I would love for misty to open up and tell the Truth.. To Actually Shed Light, on what happened that night and Where Haleigh might be.. But, I would prefer that she Gave this information to the PCSO, before she gives it to someone to Report on the Internet on a Blog!!!
On top of Fake Tips that have been strown around recently, inaccurate reports of finding Little Haleigh, Strange notes left at Newspapers, who the people were smart enought to know not to leave with the PCSO, that might consititue a legal problem in making a false report.. Something tells me there is an agenda at hand, My Momma Didn’t Raise Fools, and it is becoming very clear, whats actually going on.
This game will not last forever, someone is going to make a terrible mistake, and like a house of Cards it is all going to come tumbling down.. And People With It!!!!
This case has been so divided between Families for what 7 Month’s now.. Groups working on or for individual sides of the families, creating hate and abuse for the opposite sides. Of course this has caused so much confusion, that it always seems to put Finding Little Haleigh on the Back Burner.. And I have to wonder, is this also part of the Agenda..
I keep hearing that Haleigh needs to be kept out there in the Public Eye.. Well it would be easier if the Side Shows were not so Entertaining and News Worthy, and over shadowing the Search For Little Haleigh!!
If the Public is being encouraged to believe that Little Haleigh is dead, of course it stops people from looking for a live Child.. But, what happens when its time for her to come home? How is this going to work out?? Will we hear the same sad tune, that couldn’t be Haleigh? thats your imagination..
Me, I’m waiting for a RESOLVE.. waiting for Little Haleigh to be found and returned Home.. AND FOR ALL OF THE ARREST WARRANTS THAT WILL BE GOING OUT!!!

Well it’s about time stupid opened his eyes……..I just find it hard to believe that someone would be with someone suspected of doing harm to their child, esp someone who is really not related….being married and a mother of 3 boys..I work nights also my husband works days and keeps my kids at night while Im working…..my point is…while he keeps them at night he knows that he BETTER answer my calls everytime I call his phone it dont matter if they are 5 minutes apart, and number 2 if I was to walk in that door and hes standing there one of my kids are gone and he’s clueless to what happened to them or not called and notified myself or the police.WHOA he better call authorities quick because he’d be the next missing person. I dont play the crazy game…those kids were in her care, and if they so much as burped she should have been aware of it. That just goes to show that you shouldn’t leave one child to watch another….But we are all still praying around here for Haleigh’s safe return!!

From where I sit, I see an uneducated abused child that has been co-operating with LE for 6 months (sometimes even against her attorneys advice).
SHOCKING they are having trouble if they really are..not.
It’s either a molester familiar with the group, or Misty’s brother or Cousin, and Misty has told them this for 6 months over and over. I’m SICK of seeing Teresa being beat up on Nancy Grace, and SICK of the Bullchit info from Crackheads in Jail being taken as gospel. I have no idea of what happened, so I could be wrong, but I SURE hope LE can get to the bottom of this and if that CHILD Misty has been telling the truth and it comes out… I think Nancy Grace and Everyone acting like she is guilty should apologize. If she is responsible in some way, you all can call me an idiot that’s fine.
At this point I am not believing anything I hear in this case unless it comes from Law Enforcement direct quotes or Teresa Neves.
I am thankful however that the recent events and reporting have pressured everyone.. hopefully LE in particular… to solve this case.

I am not surprised by this announcement. I just find it hard to believe that there is nothing that can be done about Misty, why can’t they get a court order to make her either go under hypnosis or something. She is definately hiding something, she knows exactly what happened to Haleigh and does not want to come forward because she will lose her freedom to prison. She is nothing but a liar. I have no sympathy for her at all what so ever, I don’t care how old she is, she knows right from wrong, and I hope the law puts more pressure on her family, someone in that family is going to break down and tell what happened, she had to have told someone. I feel sorry for Ronald Cummings, you can see the pain he is going through. Ronald wake up and smell the coffee, Misty is behind your daughters disappearance.

I am not suprised. I don’t believe it is only because of her families dysfunction. This goes much deeper. I just hope that someone will come forward with the truth about what Happened to Haleigh. Misty has been lying and due to Rons actions he also looks suspicious. I knew Teresa did not seem right last night on Nancy Grace. Where will Misty live once she comes back to town; if even? I have been praying that Misty will succomb and go to LE and tell them what really happened.

Divorce happens with at least 60% of all marriages today that do not have the odds stacked up against them like this couple does, this unimaginable high stress situation, high emotion, extreme confusion and anger, and age being as young as they are. Everyone is throwing everyone under the bus. Tim Miller goes on Nancy Grace to swear by a Polygraph that the Polygrapher says his self works only 50/50 Nancy puts all the weight in the Poly only to get that back as well. Nancy and the rest disclaim the Voice test which is largely disputed but the Polygrapher finally brings to light his motives for getting in on this which is to market his new toy “voice stress tester” which he claims is 95% accurate yet high profile companies and so fourth disclaim it. A University did a study on it and found it to be a bogus program and the company filed to have the study made not available to the Public. Hanks wife gives an interview the day her husband is arrested and states no one has information to give about Haleigh and the night she went missing only for her husband to give another story while in jail. On one hand she claims there is no way the cousin could go out and she not know it, on the other she says maybe he used the van to go to the store she would not know. She sayS her mother in law does not deserve to be in jail yet her mother in law stole cheques from a blind man who was only trying to help and THEN defrauded HIM and stole from the guy, and helped her son steal a family memory ‘a gun’ a GUN!!! If divorce makes people guilty of child abduction and possibly more then most people are guilty. With that said it does not share any light on the issue… Haleigh and who took her, the only thing the latest releases have shown is how much material the defense has to smack back in everyone’s face, and how inconsistent the Croslin family is especially in this very clear attempt to blame Ronald which is once again them serving them INSTEAD OF THINKING ABOUT HALEIGH Only THINKING ABOUT THEIR SELVES in a desperate child vindictive hissy fit so lets blame Ronald now. On the other hand it keeps Haleigh’s name out there and if Ronald and others have to take some bruises it’s likely they won’t mind going through it again & again if it brings Haleigh home.

If Ronald is filing for divorce then hopefully he gets on NG and tells it like it is for a change , instead of sticking up for her and not really saying how he feels. The truth from him is needed just as badly as the truth from Misty.
They both need to just say it like it is and bring this baby home .

It seems both families are turning on Misty now. I’m not sure Misty did it either. There isn’t any evidence to support it. There is the letter from Nay Nay, but she’s saying that it isn’t true, or that she wasn’t there. I want to know if someone has checked out that red truck Hank sold. Maybe there is evidence. A hair, blood stains, a piece of clothing torn off that belonged to Haleigh, or etc. If the police think this letter is so real then have they checked out this “Chad” guys house for evidence. Like, oh, I don’t know….Oxycontin.

Art, Why has Ron never been arrested for child molestation as Misty was his underage 16 year old girlfriend. I haven’t seen a clear answer to this question. He clearly took advantage of a young uneducated girl.

I have been following this since day 1 (I hope they find little Haleigh, I dont think they will). I believe Ron’s mom (which covers his tracks everytime he gets in trouble) may have told him to marry Misty because of her age and all the publicity the case caused. I really think this is the case. The relationship did not stand a chance. I do think Ronald knows something and I would not be surprised if someone doesnt turn soon especially with the reward money involved. On the other hand, could it be Misty and Ron’s own mom that is covering up his dirty little deeds. Either way I pray someone steps up and let the family and world know where little Haleigh is.

If Misty is escaping from Ron without being pregnant, then she should count herself lucky. I only hope she is able to get far enough away so that his threats to kill her are empty threats. It seems so possible to me that RON also knows more than he is telling. Did they routinely give Haleigh something to help her sleep? Could the child have died, Misty hid the death from her violent bf Ron, and all this soap opera began? Ron has used woman like rags his whole life, and his mama continues to lie for him. What does Theresa Neves know?

Noone should be surprised… it was always a matter of time. Although Art, it’s fishy to say the least, I just think that the clan plays too many games and they love the swril of drama around them.
The one reasons for divorce, I bet is Misty’s wild weekend.. Ronnie can’t get past that WBG issue.. and now theres speculation per Nay Nays’s letter the group gathered again.. surely this is makin ronnie flip

I’m not surprised at all to hear this. I have had faith in Ronald all along. I think he is very much aware that Misty has information and he is doing what he thinks is right regardless of whether it actually is or not. The pressure of his baby girl being gone for over 6 months, his new marriage falling apart and the media swarming him every time he turns around, OF COURSE he is going to make bad decisions. Go Ronald go! Let’s find Haleigh!!!

Art, My opinion Ronald is divorcing Misty so that when she tells on Ronald for the part he participated in Haleigh’s disappearance, the father of the year will say she is still lying!!! Watching Nancy Grace grill Ronald seems cruel to me.
The hope that everybody else is wrong and Misty is telling the truth is the ONLY hope Ronald Cummings has left. Nobody can push him into killing that hope and it’s heartbreaking to watch them try.
Why don’t they understand that he can’t be the one?
He’s waiting for evidence, letting LE handle it & now he’s putting space between himself & Misty. That’s the best he can do.

You’ve been at the core of this tragic case from the beginning, Art. Good insight. No matter which way Ron jumped, he was likely to earn somebody’s ire. But I think he hung onto Misty far too long. As much as he didn’t want to think the person he loved was complicit, she was and always will remain: the last person to see Haleigh alive. Until she breaks, nothing can go forward.
It has been interesting to (finally) hear about some theories (the jail letter & the lobby drop off letter). Of all the possibilities, these seem to make the most sense.
The pressure being put upon Misty’s family … does she even CARE? She’s lived with the lies she’s told for eight months. (NG had Ron on tonight, and the divorce was officially announced).
One can only wonder if Misty had been cut-off from the outset, and long overdue pressure had been applied much earlier … could Haleigh’s story have gotten an ending that much sooner? Before she met Ron, Misty didn’t have a job or any way to make a living.
She should have been turned out in the cold long ago.

Well I just watched Nancy. I am now speculating that Crystal and her attorneys are pushing for custody of Jr. He is trying to assure he keeps custody of Jr. They will still talk and more than likely meet up in private. I know if I were Crystal I would be seeking custody.
I thought Rons Eyes were mighty large tonight. I could be wrong, but it looked as if he were on something.
The question about Haleighs meds. Ron said she was only on the albuterol treatment at this time. He mentioned her inhaler being there, but failed to comment on her nebulizer MISSING! The missing nebulizer still weighs heavy on my mind.
I feel Nancy was throwing harder punches tonight and got in some good hits!

Ronald Cummings doesn’t miss or grieve over Haleigh as much as he claims/pretends to miss and grieve. If it were my partner who had played such a role with my missing child as Misty has with Ronald’s child, that partner would be talking.. if not to me to LE. He is as transparent as a magnifying glass.

Not surprised here, about the divorce.. Why they married in the first place is a puzzle to me.. Now that they are divorcing, I feel that Misty is going to talk, and she is going to bring down another person/s with her…Her family has been slandered by the Cummings…Talk about calling the kettle black!! Teresa has no business talking about dysfunction..Ronald was the same as he always is on NG tonight.. He broke a big grin when Nancy said, “If Misty had a party, and Oxcontin was given to Haleigh, people would yap about it, and it would have already been known”. Welllll, not if only two people knew about it, and those two aren’t talking.. The grin made me think he knows no one is yapping, because no one knows but maybe he and another person.. Ronald seems as secretive as Misty in what he knows, and what he is saying…I still think both of them know what happened to Haleigh..The divorce could be a ploy to keep the attention on Misty, and off Ronald. Finally NG said tonight that she doesn’t believe Ronald is being truthful in giving his reason for the divorce.. Maybe she is coming around, and realizing Misty may not have done it, and if she did she had help..Ronald knows what happened. He should be grilled as much as Misty..His favorite comment is, “I don’t know Miss Nancy, I wasn’t there”.. I think it’s time to give Misty a break. She isn’t going to say anymore than she already has, but perhaps those closest to her would if they were pressured as much as Misty…I had hoped NG would have asked Ronald tougher questions, but I didn’t expect her to..She is in his camp..I think Art would have done a great job interviewing him, but that’s not going to happen..Ronald likes the soft interviews..His lawyer acts like he doesn’t really know what is going on, and is acting as Ronald’s security blanket..His interviews are vague, and misleading…I hope Crystal gets her baby girl home soon, and if she is still alive, I hope she is in a smoke-free, drug-free place..It doesn’t surprise me she used a breathing inhaler for asthma, living in the environment she was…I am still holding out hope she is alive…My thoughts are with Crystal, Haleigh and Jr..

Well with ronald mother working for LE I think their going to just look at misty and her family but not at ronald,It is sad while he was on NG he never tried to reach out and talk about finding haleigh. I don’t think he married Misty for any type of spousal immunity, but because he was worried that he could face charges of statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

BREAKING NEWS about Misty & Ron’s BREAK UP??? Not hardly. Considering the reason why they got married to begin with – Which is??? I dont recall ever hearing Ron say he married Misty because he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Why did Ron call Misty 20 times that night? Then why did he ask her brother to check on them at the trailer home? Then why, after hearing that no one answered the door when Misty’s brother came calling, did Ron not think something was wrong??? After all, the person watching his children is the same person who was out partying the weekend before. And she wasn’t just partying. She was out having sex with someone else.
So, my point is, why didn’t Ron feel a need to go and see if his two children were okay, when very probably, his girlfriend Misty, had left them home alone in the house?
But no. Instead, Ron worked his entire shift!!! And then inspite of the unanswered calls, he decided to stop off at the local convenient store for cigs and beer on his way home.

Art, I still have this feeling that Crystal Sheffied has something to do with the disapperance of her daughter. I still want to know if she has been fully investigated? Have police questioned neighbors or friends in her town? I just don’t think Misty is cunning enogh to pull this off. But I cannot get an answer from anyone on this. I have missed seeing you on Nancy or Jane’s shows.

On Ronalds comment “Keep your friends close and your enimies closer”. I would think that enimies make strange bed fellows. I can’t imagine what their “pillow talk” conversations must have been. I am not surprised to learn that Ronald is now seeking a divorce.

Hi Art,
On Nancy Grace last night, while Ron addressed his break-up with Misty, Ron appeared to have much difficulty formulating complete thoughts and sentences. Have your sources provided any insight as to what is going on with Ron? My take: he is either high, hiding something, or all the above.
Moreover, I find it odd that Ron cannot tell Nancy Grace, neither pre-break up with Misty, nor post break-up, that he is concerned with Misty’s inconsistancies, failed polygraphs, and failure to answer his phone calls and her brother’s knocks on the door that night. To this day, Ron continues to dodge Nancy Grace’s very direct questions. Art, what do your sources say about this?
My two cents:
Now that they are divorcing, if I were in Ron’s shoes, the only reason I would hold back from voicing concern over Misty’s inconsistancies, failed polygraphs, and failure to answer the door when Tommy knocked, was if I was responsible partially or completely for Haleigh’s disappearance and out of guilt, I could not let Misty take the blame. Your thoughts?

I watched the latest interview with NG and Ronald Cummings. Before now, I would have said, maybe he’s fudging a little; and now I believe he’s fudging all the way. He told NG that the relationship was strained because he and Misty had no privacy, they couldn’t go anywhere, couldn’t go to the store. And Ronald went on to say, “maybe somewhere down the road in the long run, and if something comes about with Haleigh, he and Misty might get back together.” This does not sound like someone who has thrown in the towel, and is ready to move on with his life. TO me, it sounds as though, those two are going to party with other friends for awhile, and pick up where they left off- maybe.
Call me a cynical, but why now? After almost seven months of marriage, you’re giving up. Where’s the commitment? Love, cherish, til death do us part.
This is what I think, 2 criminals are going their separate ways until the heat is off and the media frenzy dies down, then they’ll hook up again. I guess Misty will have to get a job now, she’s lost her meal ticket.I think she has plenty of money, they both do, bottom feeders, feeding off the kindness of strangers.
I hope no one is buying this b.s. yarn they are spinning. The truth will come out, sooner or later, but I no longer have any sympathy for Ronald Cummings. Does anyone recall they got married in the first place because Haleigh wanted them to? So, they need to stay married in case Haleigh returns. Not unless Ronald and Misty know something the rest of us don’t. At this point right now, I wouldn’t believe anything Ronald Cummings had to say. It’s all about them and what they want.

OK.. Here are my thoughts..
-Misty met with someone that night — at least 2 people (them).. after 8,
when the kids were asleep
-They came in a van that belongs to Misty’s family
-She did drugs/drank that nigh — maybe not certain — maybe a light drug,
because she was with kids
-She was so tired from the partying or had done drugs that she passed
out/slept.
-She was in a deep sleep/passed out and didn’t hear anything
-They either came back after she slept and took halleigh in the van
-The scratch on the van are from a wooded area
-The driver of the van is known to Misty. The other person(s) are not known
I have not seen anyone put these clues together in the news…The police
must have this idea as I pieced it together from Canada. Maybe this can be
used to put pressure on Misty and the family member that Chelsea says took
the van that night
What do you think? I think you guys should
put this out there. .at least show the videos … and get misty’s interview
transcribed and draw the connections to the van.. maybe some witness will
remember something about a van that night … This is very plausible

But about the divorce– I think they should have never gotten married in the first place, not while all this was going on.. At first I thought they were doing it cause of the law in Florida and I was thinking that she was covering for him and thats why he proposed but the law clearly states that if there is a child involved then the law does not apply..

Why do I want to rip my hair out when I see Teresa Neves sit up on TV with her “make over” and smile when asked hard questions by Nancy Grace or any of the other interviewers. If my grandchild were missing I would never smile again in my life!!! What is wrong with that woman?

Just had another thought…as it relates to finding Haleigh. In looking at maps of Putnam co. there are other lakes that are L shaped. Did they pump and check all such shaped ponds? Also did they use cadaver dogs to sniff the muck after it was drained?
The must keep looking and never stop till she is found.

Art, I’ve been reading your site since the cailey case everyday. i also read the cailey dailey every morning. i read on there about misty cummings getting into a rage incident in orlando. came here to read more about it, but you have nothing. you don’t have the story on here. will check back later to see what you’ve learned. thaks for all your reporting on these 2 cases. a lot of people that do not post, also keep up with them, like myself. i’ve never posted on either site before, but wanted to learn more on this misty cummings. i hope they nail her SOON!!! and tha anthony’s, too. they all need to find out what the inside of a jail cell looks like.

In a snippet of Ron’s interview with NG regarding the divorce, Ron mentions “the fight”. Now, what fight is that, between him and the brother in law ? I doubt it’s just that one, because Misty dutifully filed for Protection of Order, which surely made him happy. I could be reaching but I think he’s speaking of the latest tussle between the newlyweds!! The ones you reported!!!

Ron was known for getting mad at Misty for associating with Kristine “naynay” prevatt. Why? Because she was the influence on his last girlfriend Amber Brooks ,who she got involved in prostitution. They both have the same pimp Jerome Williams.Google this guys name if you don’t already know about him. Ron and Misty were both drug users but I know Ron didn’t want Misty to be involved with them because he knew they would influence her to go the route they both did. …may have even owed her pimp cash for his drug habit which prompted retaliation(total speculation). So in the end Prevatt set Misty up with her first client “whiteboy” Greg Page and his Hispanic buddies on the side without Jeromes knowledge!Pimp dont get Paid .Pimp gets mad. Pimp (or one of his associates) takes peoples kids for payback. Sick… ….. Sad to see so many girls prostituted through this system and now little girls are being killed kidnapped for their scheme too. …real criminals are the bail bondsman who keep the circle going rather than letting the pimps rot in jail keeping the streets safe. There are only a handful of true surety bondsman out there that are legit anymore.!!!Not suprised to see Ron wake up to the fact Misty was heading down the same road as his ex. Although maybe hes the one who picks them out young and sets them up to become prostitutes. Who knows he might even be on the payroll for providing these pimps their” dolls”. – I rember an interview where misty acknowledged “she knew she shouldn’t be hanging out with these girls but…” The reason why is becauseshe knew they were prostitutes bcause ZRon has a kid with one of them and made comments about taking that kid too because she was prostituting as Ron told her. In the end she ends up going with ” whiteboy” anyway. So now they are all prostitutes and thats child endangerment. The problem here in almost all states is that repeat offenders can get out of jail by putting up only 10% of the bond amount to walk out and start dealing again.. there should be laws for instance that set bail at 10% of bond for first offense , 20 percent for second, 30% for third and so on.. If ya beleive in the three strikes you’re out system it would be more like 10% for first, 50 percent for second, and no bail for third offense. There needs to be a grassroots effort to change the bail / bond laws so “career” criminals cannot make a career out of being criminals! Sometimes I wonder if the judges/warrant officers who set bail so low are in on the whole thing too. Us regulars out here dont have the means to start these kind of grassroots campaigns ; what we need are some affluent pepole with clout to take our ideas and put them to work with a volunteer effort getting signatures on petitions to change state bail/bond laws on the ballots to be voted on or we’ll never make a change for the better for these kids. WE will just sit here like always in sorrow posting wishes of hope that may never be. We need Someone like a Kim Picazzio or anyone for that matter to help get this started!

OK, so to a viewer all the way up in bum phuck maine things seems a little off in some areas. I agree that Misty is full of inconsistencies. Though, this aching thought in my mind of Crystal Sheffield [sic]isn’t sitting too well. Remember back when it was stated that there was an incident that happened with Haleigh? To me it seemed as though Crystal set him up yet, it failed. Crystal isn’t fooling me, she is hiding something. Also, this so called “Road Rage” incident, the timing was a little too perfect. How could this woman not know who Misty is while living in Florida? I live in Maine and I know what she looks like. Not to mention have there been any videos surfacing from the incident, here in Maine we have cameras all over the highway. I am not by any means defending Misty but, I do know that valuable time is missing. The human emotions tend to get in the way of allot of investigations in my opinion. Naturally she would be suspected being the last person to see her though, Ronald had a great amount of scratches on him for being a crane operator. Look back at the videos from the beginning. Look at his hands and neck. Misty to me doesn’t posses the smarts nor strength to kill a child, hide the child, or whatever happened to Haliegh. Misty is a very petite girl. Though, Ronald isn’t nor is Crystal.I guess what I am rambling about is people should keep a very open mind and remember that only blaming leads to a lazy investigation.

Watch the Today show interview just after they were married.
When she is asked about why she had inconsistencies she stops and stares at Ronald waiting for him to chime in. Look at her expression… It says a lot.
She is covering…. That is what she is guilty of.
He also could have come home on his dinner break.. you do not have to punch out for those.
He is the type of person that if his GF was not answering her phone he would have gone to hunt her down..
He worked only 19 minutes from home.

Back again! I just watched the video of Rons mom taking Cobra down the road to a trailer where she thought some underground cages were at. They ended up being underground pig pens!!! Where I’m at I cant let my grass get over 6″ long without neighbors calling me on ordinance violation . I get a warning to cut within ten days or the city will cut for me at the expense of $100. Apparently Putnam county has no ordinances whatsoever if you’re allowed to have underground pig stys in your front lawn. The trailer and whole scene look like there right out of the movie Deliverance (squeal piggy) Sickos! You hillbillies down south are what’s causing kids to be taken. Get civilzed for cripe sakes. They should be over there now citing that owner for city ordinance violations , investigating the area then making the owner clean up if there isn’t anything! You all look like sickos the way you live there.Looks like a third world disaster down there.Does Putnam county have no shame.(and no I don’t think rons mom was wrong for being concerned, it was no setup as the P.I. said) I would be genunly concerned if I saw underground cages down the street from where a missing girl was taken. The same mistakes were made in the jacee dugard case where police investigated mysterious backyard tents then wandered down the street for doughnuts! Sickos! Do your job.

Mel–Whoa, Mel…don’t know if you may have missed it in some long ago comment, but I believe I reported sources telling me the pig pen tip came in and was investigated shortly after Haleigh vanished, with cops fanning out to search the property of this wiry , ex Marine. I met the man that day, and he was none too happy we were on his property, or that cops had been there several times. Nor was he at all polite to Mrs. Neves, as you’d think a neighbor might be towards a grandmother who was desperate to find her “baby.” Fact I was an ex Navy officer and had been in the dirt with the Marines during the Iraq invasion in 03 didn’t register with this guy, that we’d both been shot at and missed, as it usually does with most true blue veterans, so made us all uncomfortable and we apologized for wandering onto his property and hustled out and up the dirt road as he warned us not to come back.
Oh, and LE told me they’d searched the property twice, including underground hog pens in the back yard (no front lawn there, pal), in the woods, between the house and river. Search included flyover with chopper equipped with high tech detection gear called FLEAR, picks up minute body heat signatures, even from a buried body. Negative results, as they’ve found following up some 4,000 tips in the case. Art

what if misty and ronald are just pretending to breakup???? just to go on a media blitz/licencing photos/payed interviews/free trips/hotels (crab puffs), this sems to be the next step in this situation, what if a divorce means misty would be charged as a child/underage, instead of an adult, if down the road charges are going to be filed against her-slap on the wrist- they both say mabe down the road we will be togethjer….also mrs neves said the woman misty id with is someone she met while with tim miller, how wild is that?!

Hi Art, glad to see yo0u back. I was wondering what in the world was going on and why you hadn’t been posting comments and such. Art, please tell me that you have some good news for us about Haleigh. I am having a hard time swallowing the story about Tim Miller footing the bills for all that’s been going on with Misty these past few weeks. I did go to another site and listen to the interview he did where he says that this Donna person is trying to get close to Misty and be motherly towards her and try and get her to talk. Isn’t this what Teresa Neves has been doing since February 9th? But, now because it is highly respected Tim Miller that makes it okay? I don’t agree! What I want to ask you is this, are the plans still for Texas E to search in the near future like they asserted weeks back? Do you hear any talk of the group returning after the foliage has died back? Also, I am wondering if you have ever talked to “Joe”, Misty’s cousin? It just seems unreal to me that this guy left Satsuma the same day…or a day later….that Haleigh went missing! Thank you Thank you for any response you might be able to give~

Q–I will defend Tim Miller to the max, since what he’s trying to do is find a missing child, whether excavating dirt, using sonar to scan ocean bottoms or find away to crack rock hard hearts for information. Isn’t the goal to find Haleigh? If so, surprised you’d object to going to any lengths to do that…If you will go back and read comments i make as well as stories, i believe i reported Joe was interviewed twice by agents, couple of weeks ago…spoke with his mother and grandmother. While he does have a record, no one has ever produced any evidence to back up the rumormongering about any alleged sex crimes…I know his rapid departure looks funny, but he insists he had nothing to do with what happened to Haleigh, and LE has basically ruled him out, as well, my sources said long ago. He’s being reinterviewed like many in the family, again and again, to try to fill in the timeline. Art

Being a Southern Lady, I take offense to this guy calling out Southern people. But of course he probably watches the Andy Griffith show and all those stereotypical shows. I just find it rude for all that ‘garbage’ spewed to be posted. I know he has a right to speak his mind, but come on. That is rude don’t you think?

Seems to me that Law Enforcement might have been patiently waiting for Misty to make a misstep, the way other members of her family have, just to get her behind bars and question her. Everyone can speculate all they want but should actually stick to the facts.
Ron And Crystal (bio mom) have been cleared, and a long time ago.
Not everyone can just take off from work, ecspecially because your girlfriend (whom he had been fighting with) just shuts off her phone. He probably assumed she was just not answering because of that. Instead, evidence points to her not even being home. Thats why she didn’t want to turn her phone on. Haleigh would have told this, and she just might of seen something that would have gotten her into big trouble with daddy. Funny, that she makes it home and is just starting to look for Haleigh at 3 am, just as she knows Ronald will be coming home. Who knows what time Haleigh really went missing. She had to be told by Ronald as he is desperately searching for Haleigh to call 9=11. Im not saying that Ronald might not know more than what he is saying but if he does, it was after the fact. Nancy Grace doesn’t believe the whole party theory but I do think it’s very possible. It was supposed to be just a very small party. Those people would keep their mouths shut. They aren’t the smartest and they supposedly all helped getting rid of Haleigh. That would totally implicate them and they could keep their mouths shut because they could be also be in big trouble. Trying to cover up a murder, I think would be a pretty big sentence.
Im curious as to what Lisa Croslin is going to let out of the bag. The woman looks like popeye! I think Misty may have confided in her. Im hoping for a arrest soon.
IM also curious to know if they have someone that may have heard Mistys sister banging on the door that night?
Funny how Misty won’t go talk to the police but she will go on the morning CBS show. She did that w/o her lawyers advice so why not talk to police, if she can help find Haleigh!!? She just wants her time in the limelight, she really has done nothing to try to help LE help find Haleigh. She can’t even say her name. Several times when talking about her it’s always “THAT LITTLE GIRL”. Then, she harassed that lady on the highway, threatening her. She responds to saying “she’s crazy”. NO, Misty, you are a proven liar and your crazy. You should be sitting in jail right now for threatening bodily harm and for child neglect charges… and then, hopefully for what you did to Haleigh. STand up and be accountable for what you did to a very innocent beautiful little girl. Fact… Haleigh was seen alive by others than just Misty after Ronald went to work. You gotta stop with these false comments or nothing will ever get accomplished. Misty is not covering for Ron. Ron didn’t do anything to Haleigh. She was alive and seen after Ron was already at work! Isn’t that right Art?

Misty stated in a recent interview she thinks the “other” side has Haleigh..NG interviewed Teresa N. after Misty made the comment..NG asked T.N. if she thought it was Ronald’s side. Teresa said no..Of course she isn’t going to say her side.. I think Misty was talking about Ronald’s side..Misty’s side is Lisa, and Tommy. I also think Misty is coming out swinging since the divorce is happening, and if Ronald gives her flake she will nail him..I don’t think Ronald wants a divorce..It’s a ploy to keep the attention on Misty, and not himself. Misty is probably tired of all the bad mouthing about her family. Even her mother-in law calls her family dysfunctional..Misty may even agree her family is messed up, but they are her family, and blood is thicker than water, as the saying goes..
These questions linger in my mind:
1) Where, and what was Ronald doing from the time Haleigh was picked up at the bus stop until he went to work, around 7pm?
2) Why was the bed made, as if no one had slept in it?
3) How was it possible to look UNDER the beds in that house, as Misty stated she looked?
4) Why did Misty use the bathroom at the other side of the house, instead of the one closest to the bed she was supposedly sleeping in?
5)Why did Misty not call 911 immediately when she noticed Haleigh missing, instead of waiting until Ronald got home?
IMO it’s a cover up…Misty and Ronald know what happened to Haleigh.. LE should start grilling Ronald now. They know all that Misty is willing to tell them..Misty said on the morning show she is staying in Orlando with a person she met through Tim Miller..Art, is this the Tim Miller of Equsearch?(sp) Or maybe she said it to the interviewer who questioned her at the airport..Can’t remember, but I remember her saying it..She didn’t sound like she was in a hurry to get back with Ronald, although Ronald made it sound like it was his choice if/when they get back together..I was shocked when she said the woman she inflicted with road rage was crazy, and there was no truth to it..I have heard the woman tell her story…She seems very believable.. Misty had a smirky grin on her face as she talked to the guy at the airport..I think it happened. I am wondering if both families are in therapy? Or is that lifestyle of lying, and drugs a way of life in Satsuma, and it is accepted as normal..Haleigh’s whereabouts will never be known until the truth prevails, and I just don’t see that happening..

I really feel Misty is covering for Ron. …. Misty won’t cross Ron, because she knows his wrath. She is too naive and ignorant to know he is letting her talk herself into his cell. She doesn’t have a clue what she is dealing with. When will these idiots learn, YOU CAN’T GET OVER ON LE! What LE lack in brain smarts, they make up with all the cool gadgets they get each year with State money. Misty without a lawyer is really a ticking time bomb. She will crack soon, just talking in an interview. Misty will ‘ride or die’ for her man so she is covering.

Hi Art, good to see more information on this case from you. I think misty was dead asleep that night, but i am wondering if maybe she left the back door propped open when she was doing laundry? I had a house one time that when i had the dryer running it made the house hot so i would open the back door to left the heat out, maybe she forgot she had left that door propped open and was afraid to tell ronald that she had opened that door? I really don’t know what happened in this case, but but sides of the ronald and misty family are a little dysfunctional, Ronald had mentioned psychics had been used already, do you know anything on this? I was wondering which ones had been to the house and had actually looked for haleigh or if they had told them anything useful. This poor baby is gone, I think we all know that, she was taken without her inhaler and thats something you have to have a prescription for, and having asthma myself i know you need that inhaler. If she was alive some doctor some where would of recongnized her by now, also with all the supposedly pot heads in that town some one would of talked by now for the 30,000 thats offered for information. I don’t think mistys brother went to the house that night and banged on the door because the kids would of heard it and woke up, she maynot of woke up but the kids would of. If it had been crystals side of the family why only take haleigh? they would of took both kids so thats not a story i believe at all. Some one that knew that family and knew misty was asleep did this. And if they have done it once they will do it again. I’m afraid this is going to turn out to be another jon benet case and we will never know what happened to haleigh or who actually took her. I just hope the LE isn’t waiting on misty to talk to actually solve this because she is never going to to tell them anything more than she already has, and now the trail has gone cold. Poor haleigh, she never had a chance at life.

Art-Hope you can answer my question regarding a statement made by Steph Watts The week before this, Tim Miller had an intimate conversation with Ronald Cummings in the bedroom he shared with Misty in his grandmothers’ trailer just down the road. They talked in detail about their thoughts of Misty’s involvement in the case. Tim asked Ronald why he married Misty. Ronald responded “I have to keep her close till I find out what happened to Haleigh”. It’s what happened next that frightened Miller. Ronald pulled a gun out of the closet, an assault rifle with 2 clips, each clip holding 32 bullets. Ronald looked at Miller and said “When I find out where Haleigh’s at, I will blow the teeth out of the back of her head, and then I’ll do this…” He then got on his knees, put the butt of the rifle on of the gun on the floor and the leaned over and put the barrel in his mouth.”
Art-does Florida have a duty to warn law, and if so shouldn’t Misty be in sometype of protective custody because of Safety Issues.
In my view Misty should be arrested, but when a threat is made as such, I would imagine that LE would intervene by possibly arresting the person who made the threat and placing the other person in some sort of protective custody.

If you go back and read some of my pieces, over the last few months, you will see that I reported Ron’s erratic behaviour, ie waltzing with guns, and the closet visit with Tim Miller and his threat to blow Misty’s teeth through the back of her head and then take himself out…along with others, if he found out she had something to do with Haleigh gone missing…And that his exes have also told me he used to put a gun in his mouth, acting crazy, which did alarm them, but that when he pulled the trigger, nothing happened…Faux Russian roulette. He had the forsight to take the bullets out first.
And yes indeed, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department was made aware of it, but had heard so much bad ass talk from Ron over the years, blustering with guns, they kinda of shrugged it off.
And you hopefully recall what Ron told me months ago over dinner at Memaws with Cobra, why he was staying married, to “keep his friends close and enemies closer…” Nothing new there, just that Tim Miller didn’t want anything to happen to the person the police believe to be the key to the case and solving it…Misty.–

‘t trying to say anything bad about Marines in my comments above , just crazy ex-marines with hog pens buried in the backyard.( not frontyard as I assumed) Still seems like third world living from the video i saw(at least that guy anyway)especially with the couch out front. Still cant beleive the neighbors dont call on him for ordinace violations, but good to hear cops went more than once and with aerial bcuz like i said before, jaycee dugards(house) was searched multiple times and look what they missed there. I think its possible the PCSD does have more info but wont release so as not to compromise the case any further under the media blitz. As far as divorce, they both needed it., sh was way too young anyway . He mother should not have allowed it until she was 18 and an adult Whats the legal agin FLA. anyway? 17 or 18?

My coments about southeners above was rude .I’ll retract that. I was basically ranting about all the high profile cases in florida and more specifically central florida and especially putnam county where there seems to be 43+ registered sex offenders within a five mile radius of the home. So I’m retracting my statement for those below the mason dixon line and and ranting about Central Florida instead! They need to get some morals down there. At least in satsuma where the crime rate is bigger than it should be for a city of that size. Must be the humidity!

Thanks Art, I completely understand your assertions about Tim Miller. I guess I just assumed that Law Enforcement could handle the task of uncovering the truth about Haleigh. However, I am no investigator and Law Enforcement might be welcoming any help they can get at this point. I think that each person that has entered into this case since February has entered with Haleigh’s best interests at heart. But, then, somewhere along the way people just get sucked into the drama and focus shifts and we are still no closer to finding Haleigh. Thank you for taking the time to answer and I also thank you for being so diligent in this case!

This whole thing is so sick. I agree with another person, Charlotte that said Misty and Ron would go thier separate ways until the media frenzy dies down and the heat is off. I can’t help but feel that Ron knows exactly what happened. I hope the poor little girl is alive, but I doubt it. So sad.

I dont think the investigators should be looking just at Misty. Ronald Cummings left his childrens with a drug addict. Knowing she has just came off a binge and that she would go into a hard sleep from not resting the 3 days before. And at the time Misty was a minor herself, with her own life out of control. Ronald may have been at work that night but he is just as quity, because he left those children with drug addict teenager.

Nay Nay was a 2 faced “friend” and her and Amber provided Misty with some guys and got her drugged enough to pass out- why are the police not looking more into Amber Brooks? Her mom beat the snot out of Misty- Amber is probably still mad about Misty moving in on her man. And since she was the previous step mom so to speak- Haleigh would know her and might “hey want to see your baby brother?” go with her- who knows maybe she had a key?

NG makes me sick how she speaks so sweet to Ronald and yet so hateful to Haleigh’s mom. Maybe she feel there nothing to Crystal or Misty. But Ronald still left his children with a drug addict teenager to take care of them. And he knew she was on drugs and alcohol. Why did the law continue to let him keep the children? I hope and pray that Haleigh is alive and well. But Ronald left those children with a teenager that had just pulled a three days partying binge. She very well could have been in a real deep sleep or she could have been having withdrawal and became violent. Either way Ronald is as much as the blame as Misty.

LadyJane, wow one great piece of insight I never thought of as you said above. I always assumed they set misty up with a client away from the tralier but if the party happened at the tralier and misty passed out that would explain her sticking to her story of being there and not knowing what happened. Amber , nanay and greg probably kept partying and when they went in to check on Misty they found that haleigh took Roxies off the nightstandand and overdosed accidentally. That would explain the “inside” job with the deadbolt Amber brooks and her mother need to questioned some more about their past beating of Misty. Ambers mom might just be the drunken brothel queen connected to the pimp Jerome Williams that her daughter gets used by. They probably had a plot to get back at Misty one way or another. They may have even sent jerome to snatch her after they left and they knew she was passed out.

I agree Nancy, NG is way off base with this one. What if Ronald married Misty to keep her mouth shut. The wedding looked like a sham, did you see how uninterested and underdressed he was? It was almost like he got married under duress. Ronald really makes my hair stand up on the back of my neck. I am a psychology major and I really see Ronald as a narcissist, an abuser (period), and I see a liar. Misty knows more than she is saying, but Ronald ran the ship. Misty knows just how far to take Ron. I am sure she got an earful for falling for the Tim Miller hoax. In all honesty, I know we are all in agreement Misty is lying, but LE really should put her in a safe house. Not just from Ronald, but I fear this kid would try to harm herself. She has nobody in her corner. She has cast away from the Cummings, and someone she felt comfort with turned out to be a mole for Tim Miller. If she does that we may never know what happened. Ronald and Misty are bound by the events of that night. I really believe the marriage was a sham, and I also believe in their small minds they would not be able to testify against each other. They just didn’t expand their thought to a little thing called “loopholes”, one being in the case of child welfare and/or homicide that law voids itself out. I believe the divorce is also a sham. Ron of course wanted to marry Misty, eventually, young and trainable. He can spew his abuse off on a child and get away with it. A grown woman not so much. However, the divorce is happening because too much heat is coming his way. He needs to appear as if he wised up. I think they have a pact. Misty said in her Good Morning America interview that in the future if things settled down they may reconnect. She is dropping clues more and more. She has no legal representation and she will definately trip up eventually. I pray we have a miracle in this case. That precious angel deserves peace. I pray she is found.

I have written to Nancy Grace, to Headline News and so far no one evidently rhinka I knoW what I am talking about. I don’t trust him. He knows who has his daughter. I have believed that from Day 1. So why in the world couldn’t he know all about this. Please.Someone look into him.
Misty isn’t smart enough to have made up all these stories on her own.
