It was a recent yard brawl between Ronald Cummings and Misty’s brother, Tommy, that blew their family feud sky high.
In part two of her exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, Misty’s sister in law Chelsea Croslin takes us inside the Haleigh Cummings tragedy that has left both families reeling and out of control, baffled the best law enforcement tax dollars can buy, put a 17 year old named Misty Cummings under a microscope of suspicion — and riveted viewers of 24-7 cable news shows who hope and pray the missing (now) six year old will be found and yearn for a break in the case.

It began with a desperate call from Misty Cummings.
“She’d called Tommy to pick her up because she and Ronald were fighting,” Chelsea tells me. “She’s called us many times to pick her up in the middle of the night because she and Ronald got into an argument and needed their space. She’d go to her family’s house and he’d stay with his family.”
The night of that showdown, “Tommy was just trying to be a big brother,” she says, and “when he got there Misty told him to leave or Ronald will beat your ass.’ I don’t know what Ronald’s problem was, maybe all the stress. So they started fighting.”
Fists flew. Misty later said she got socked and took out a permanent injunction against Tommy; even Ronald’s grandmother, Annette Sykes, couldn’t break it up, until she sent Ronald back into the trailer. Tommy called the cops, filed a complaint for assault.
Ronald wound up in the Putnam County jail, then bonded out the next day. “It totally tore the family apart,” says Chelsea.
And let’s not forget “Ratgate,” where Tommy found a headless rat in his mailbox, took it as a threat, said he feared it was Ronald and asked police to investigate; the Putnam County Sheriff forwarded it’s probe to the state attorney. But Ronald had an alibi, he said, and though a neighbor says she heard and saw his truck, Misty backed him up. Tim Miller tells me he heard Ronald say he’d ordered Misty to lie for him so he could guage how adroitely she might be “lying to me.”
Then came her voluntary lie detectors tests; at first balking, then flunking two miserably. Miller, founder of Texas Equusearch, who has been donating time and money to cracking the case, tells me Ronald recently showed him an assault rifle in his closet and threatened to “blow Misty’s teeth through the back of her head, if she had anything to do with it, and take a few people with her,” then kill himself. “I said, ‘Whoa, Ronald, you don’t want to do that.’ He was obviously a distraught father and not thinking straight. He put the gun back.”
Sources tell me law enforcement is aware of the incident. But whether such displays of angst indicate imminent danger to anyone is unclear, or whether the honeymoon is over. Her polygraph results certainly tested the Ronald-Misty bonds, not to mention the jailhouse letter from a Misty party pal who wrote her boyfriend that police had confronted her with an accusation she’d been at a party with Misty and Haleigh accidentally OD’d, which she denied. Misty says it’s not true, as well.

Months ago, Ronald marveled wide-eyed as William Staubs, aka Cobra, opened the back of his black Tahoe and showed off a fancy machine gun he kept for emergencies. We were at a park in Welaka. Ronald asked if he could touch it…a gun buff who like many in Satsuma arm themselves for self-protection. But in Cummings case, guns and women sometimes don’t mix. Both Amber Brooks and Crystal Sheffield have told me they were frightened when he’d put a pistol in his mouth and threaten to do himself in. Russian roulette was a game he sometimes played as well, they say, unsure if the gun was loaded or not.
It seems everyone has guns in Satsuma, including a 76 year old neighbor who later reported Tommy Croslin had stolen an antique .45 Colt pistol from him, sending Misty’s brother to jail on a whopping $50,000 bond on a gun theft charge–until he and coughed up new information that he’d banged on the door the night Haleigh went missing and Misty didn’t appear to be home.

Two days before Haleigh turned up missing last February, a drunk driver with no insurance smashed into the used car Timmy and Chelsea had just bought days earlier. Hank, Sr., her father in law wound up in the hospital in Gainesville, Fla., she says, and didn’t come home until after Haleigh vanished, on crutches, pins in his leg and a lot of pain.
With her car totalled, Chelsea started driving the blue family van, which she initially reported appeared to be parked in a different spot than she usually left it the day Haleigh was reported missing. Cousin Joe Overstreet had spent the night, and Chelsea later told police she’d left the keys on the kitchen counter, where she usually does, within easy reach. Reflecting now, she says, “What I told police was that I can’t totally, 100 per cent account for Joe that night…
“I don’t see Joe doing something like this, but I just gave police my observations — that the van just seemed to be in a different spot. I have a long driveway, and the back steps are to the left. I usually turn the wheel so the car is behind the stairs. This time, I noticed it seemed to be parked more on the side of the house. I don’t know if Joe took it to the store, or maybe he didn’t take it at all.”
While police say there’s no evidence he had anything to do with Haleigh gone missing, Cousin Joe, whose mother tells me was questioned twice by police about the case in the last two weeks, became the Florida Croslin family’s prime suspect; months ago, I watched Misty’s mother, Tommy and wife Lindsay give private investigator Williams Staubs a yard tour, showing him a drainage pipe under the driveway where they claim Joe stashed a gun he’d allegedly stolen from Ronald; Joe declined to comment.
What Chelsea does know is that the day Haleigh was reported missing, cousin Joe split for Tennessee; she was beyond exhaustion. “We’d just left Gainesville, dropping (Misty’s mother) Lisa off to be with Hank at the hospital. I’d been up late trying to figure out insurance claims for our car that was wrecked, dealing with an injured father in law and then, we go to sleep and about 4 a.m., and I get a phone call.”
It was Misty. “I don’t usually answer the phone in the middle of the night,” she tells me, “but I did this time and heard everyone in the background yelling for Haleigh.”
They lay in bed for an hour or so, not sure what to make of it, not wanting to wake up her two girls, close to giving birth to a third. At about 6 a.m., “I woke up Timmy when we realized this was serious. I couldn’t imagine anything like this. I just figured she’s probably hiding in a closet. My kids hide from me all the time. Sometimes I’ll find them in a cabinet. To them, it’s a game.”
It was no game. Within hours, she’d raced back to Gainesville to pick up Misty’s mother and hightailed it back to the Sheriff’s Department, where she and Timmy joined the long line of family members for interviews, took polygraphs, and watched Ronald and Misty hand over the clothes they were wearing to police. “Ronald was wearing his company jumpsuit, like a blue work outfit that zipped up the front, and they both went in back and took off everything, including their underwear.”
Chelsea says whenever she has a question, or comes up with a detail that might be a lead, she calls Putnam County and asks for one of the investigators she works with. “I don’ t want anyone to think we had anything to do with anything. We love Haleigh and Junior; I’d never hurt a child. We don’t even spank ours.”
But they came under the glare when a tip came in that Haleigh had been spotted in Abbington, Mass., far from Cape Cod ere they were living. “Everyone started saying, ‘Timmy must have kidnapped her, which was ridiculous. None of the rumors made sense. We were in Florida for the first six months of the investigation.
Even private investigator William Staubs, aka, Cobra, grilled her early on, she said. “I knew he was working for Crystal Sheffield’s family, but I have nothing against Crystal, so I told him what I knew. But I stopped talking to him after he started spreading rumors about someone named Donald Sapp, saying there was a convicted sex offender by that name and he was related to someone in our families. Lindsay (Croslin) has someone named Sapp in her family, but whoever Cobra was talking about, it wasn’t the same guy.
“You’ve got to be nuts to think I’d let some known pedophile near my kids…Then I heard he was saying Timmy was in Satsuma when police drained the Mondex pond, and he’s never left Massachussetts. It’s unbelievable…”
As for the custody dispute, she calls it a big distraction that took the focus off finding Haleigh–and takes issue with those who accuse Ronald of being an unfit father.
“Even though we’re at odds now, because there’s a lot of stress in the family, I’m not going to lie about it,” Chelsea tells The Bald Truth. “I’ve never seen Ronald hit the kids. He’s a very good Dad, and he’s proved it. How often do you see a father get custody over a mother?”
Even before he began dating Misty, Chelsea would see him at the bus stop with Haleigh, dressed to the nines in matching outfits, “cute little bows in her hair. I was very surprised to see a single Dad be the one to get her dressed up, put her hair up…
“Haleigh was his little Daddy’s girl, completely. It’s true she wanted him to marry Misty, like she’s been saying. Long before she went missing, they’d been pestering her father, Hank, to sign papers to allow it.
“He kept saying no, that you guys haven’t been together long enough. Wait until you’re 18,’ but that’s what Haleigh wanted. She was a very bright little girl, she knew what was going on and loved Misty. She didn’t care for Ron’s other ‘baby mama,’ (Amber Brooks).”
Chelsea also says it was obvious Misty loved Haleigh and the little girl adored her stepmom, as she’s claimed in interviews. Others have told me they’d see them walking hand in hand from the bus stop, and Chelsea says Misty did a fine job watching her kids, too, even if she’d occasionally fall asleep. “The kids were together all the time,” she says.
In an exclusive interview last week, Hank Croslin, Sr., also told The Bald Truth that he was against the marriage at first, and now feels guilty he allowed it because of the tragic events. He says Misty was a wild thing, out all night partying, running with a bad crowd before Ronald, and he felt she would be “safer” with someone looking after her,” despite the age gap between them.
Like her mother, he still feels she may know more than she’s revealing, and says he’s here if she wants to talk. “I know if I could spend a couple of days with her, she would tell me what’s in her heart, what she knows, but I need to get her away from Ronald.” So far, sources tell me, she’s refused to take her father’s calls.
Hank tells me he doesn’t believe she could hurt a child, and if she’s protecting someone, she needs to come clean. “I don’t want her to go to prison,” he says, “and if she knows somerthing, and doesn’t give it up, it’s going to be worse later. I don’t think she could survive prison. She’s such a tiny thing.’ But I don’t think she did anything to hurt Haleigh.”
Right now his main concern is bailing out her mother, Lisa, transferring soon from Nashville to the Putnam County Jail on petty theft charges for allegedly stealing a $400 check from a neighbor. He’s got to raise about $1,200 for her $10,000 plus bond, he says.
“She doesn’t deserve to be in jail, says Chelsea.”It’s obvious what the police are trying to do, put pressure on the Croslins by putting them in jail for anything and hoping someone will crack and give up Misty. But if anyone knew anything that would help bring Haleigh back, or solve this case, I don’t believe they’d hold it back to protect Misty, even though we’re all family and as family, and have to stick together.”
No question it’s taken a toll on the Croslins as well as the Cummings. Ronald keeps his grief bottled up, says his mother, Teresa Neves. Haleigh’s little brother, Junior, believes she’s just lost and is trying to find her way home. “He drew her a map the other day,” Annette Sykes tells me.
Meanwhile, Hank and Tommy are out of work; Timmy is still job hunting on trendy Cape Cod, where the economy is vacation based rentals and summer residents, but hopes to find work soon, she says. As for her children, she feels they are far safer there than in Florida, where it seems a child “goes missing every day.”
What’s especially hard, is when she has the news on for an update about Haleigh, and her children hear reports she might be dead. “I wish the media would stop doing the whole soap opera thing about the family,” she says, wincing every time she sees video of her crossing the street with daughter Destiny and Misty used as b roll. “I wish they’d use another shot because what if it is a stranger abduction and the same person who took Haleigh sees her cousin and knows what my daughter looks like?”

I do believe Misty often called her family for refuge. I believe she called them that night when Ron beat up Hank Jr. I do believe Hank Sr. that if he could get Misty away from Ron she may tell them what happened. This is why Ron is alienating Misty from her family. Just like Crystal said he did to her. He is an abuser. He pretends to be this great guy in the public eye, but in private he is who he is!! Teresa and GGSykes know it all to well.The enabling needs to stop!!
I have great concerns over him stating he is going to blow Mistys teeth through the back of her head and then turn the gun on himself. He is not in his right mind and just may do this. If Le starts closing in and they are going to arrest Misty; he may just do this to keep the truth of what happened to Haleigh being revealed. This is why LE needs to remove Little Jr. from this violent enviroment!!! Sooner than later. He may take out his whole family!! I can see why Misty may need protective custody!!
I still believe this was not intentional, but accidental. I believe they gave Haleigh something to make her sleep and Ron was aware. This time it was too much. It would still be negligent homicide and they would both go to prison!! I do not believe Misty acted alone.
I believe no matter what happens that when Misty really needs her own families support; they will be there. Unfortunately they will be visisting her behind bars.
I have the same God as Teresa Neves and I do believe God can and will give you what you ask for. I believe every family that has someone missing believes the same . Sometimes it is not as when they left. The Lord works in mysterious ways and he will prevail in this case. Baptism may wash your sins away, but it will not save you from your punishment. Our God is a just God!! All the time!!

LE get a grip and arrest Misty, this 17 year old has your department looking like amature cops! She’s running the show and Ronald is letting her since she has something on him.

If Chelsea is upset that the media speculates that Haleigh may be dead, why does she speak of Haliegh in the past tense?

I think haleigh got in to Rons drugs when misty was in a drug sleep and in a panic she called someone to help hide the body. When ron fines out he helps her with her lies becauce the drugs were his and he knows he would go to jail together.

Interesting interview, but c’mon, Chelsea: You honestly think it was RONALD who got HaLeigh dressed up every morning and did her hair?? When has Ronald ever NOT had a live-in girlfriend to handle the kids? Immediately after Crystal, there was Amber Brooks, who lived with him for about two years. Immediately after her, Misty moved in–last September, in fact, right when HaLeigh started taking the bus to kindergarten. So if anybody was dressing HaLeigh to the nines, it was Misty–with Teresa Neves or Annette Sykes as backup on mornings when Misty was–shall we say–too “tired.” GMAB.
And maybe Chelsea never SAW Ron hit the kids, but SOMEBODY made those marks on Junior’s legs…

Chelsea had a different story in the beginning, she mentioned a family member she felt responsible. Did she forget cousin Joe was on her radar? Another Croslin changing the story. Lisa doesn’t deserve to be in jail??? She stole checks from a blind man…where would Chelsea expect her to be? Misty’s own father says she was wild before Ron..so what is she now…tame? Her own family let her babysit knowing she couldn’t wake up with the kids, and Misty herself says Jr. woke up & crawled over her, yet she made no move to check & see where he was going in the dark. But yet they are all sure she did nothing to hurt Haleigh. How can they be sure if no one knows where she was, or do they?

Questions: Why did it take police questioning to get Misty’s brother to admit he went looking for her after Ron alledgedly asked him to? If it was sincere, why couldn’t he “offer” this info in the beginning of the case? Does he thing Misy has something to hide and was protecting her, or does he “himself” have something to hide and was hoping to take the focus off himself and put it on Misty?

My issue is with Hank Jr,WHY WAIT 7 MONTHS TO TELL THAT HE WAS THERE THAT NIGHT WHY HAS HIS WIFE WAITED? Either he was not there and used the situation for his gain to get out of jail, or he has something to hide. Anyone who would use this situation for self gain is not trust worthy period. No one WHO HAS NOTHING TO HIDE AND IS NOT LYING with holds that type of information. One way to tame the media circus and keep your children from being exposed to the same predator, stop giving media interviews, no comment is a powerful statement.

The last two articles you have written ring very true from things we’ve heard.I think the root of this tragedy,is Misty and Ronald Cummings arguments.Misty calling people and leaving all the time.While her father is in the hospital with major surgery,Misty is running around partying,doing drugs and having sex with a man she just met.Everytime I hear Misty loves the kids,she was good to them,that is unbelievable.She was running around with NayNay before that weekend and we’ve seen what kind of lifestyle these girls live.
She can’t stop calling family,because of arguments and causing more trouble.There was an argument just recently,she leaves and needs to clear her head and get away?There is a child missing who would love to have time with her family clearing her head and getting away from whatever she is going through.Misty was smiling when she just recently picked up Ronald Cummings from jail,she got her away again,start trouble and everyone else has to pay for it.
Just the fact that she’s told so many inconsistent stories on what happened,should get her arrested.Now,there is supposed to be a statement by her of how she’s been treated by the detectives?If she would stop telling one story after another,they wouldn’t have to keep hauling her in.It sounds like a lawsuit might be in the works,so an arrest would be questionable.
What kind of life is Jr having in the midst of all these arguments?Police need to just keep an officer there full time,because they are always being called to the grandmother’s house.Is it not enough the child has lost his sister?Once again it seems Misty is being placed above a child in the home,when will it end,or how?
Was there another man involved she met before that night when arguing with Haleigh’s father?Why did she turn off her phone after she put the children to bed?
If Chelsea was up late that night and got a call by four oclock,how much time did cousin Joe have to take the van,go somewhere,do something and get back by four oclock before that call?What time did Chelsea go to bed?

I don’t think Misty has any clue as to what happened. If she did something to Haleigh they would have more evidence (like the Casey Anthony Case) and would of arrested her aleady. And she is not smart enough to full the cops. Lie detector test is puzzling though but they are not even admissable in court for a reason. Her brain is so messed up with drugs and confusion it makes sense that it could be wrong. I don’t think Ronald has anything to do with it although puzzling things about him are stopping by to get beer after 20 phone calls home, first thing he said on 911 call was “You let them steal my daughter”. I found that really odd. Why would you assume that from the start. But he has been cleared for a reason.
Frankly I think a child molester did come in and take Haliegh. They are more clever then the bunch LE is accusing..i.e. Elizabeth Smart and JayCee Dugard. Puzzling thing about that is the entrance and door proped open.
Anyway – I hope LE knows what they are doing and not missing the mark on this. I have to give them credit that they know alot more then we do.

Not to be picky, but the gun that was stolen from Marvin Martin (or vice versa) was actually a .38 caliber army special Colt revolver, with the last patent date of 7-5-1905. That’s what is stated on the police report.

Bull on Neves and her son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neves color turned white on NG when upholding her son. She knows who hurt Haleigh!!! Can’t people see and hear? Put Ronald Cummings on national television instead of his mommy to uphold him. Misty, I hope she doesn’t end up in a septic tank or well. Bet they would look there if Ronald Cummings went missing.

Somebody needs to get Ronald before he uses his “big gun” on Misty and himself! He has threatened doing that, has he not? Then, we will never know what happened to Haleigh !!!!! Donald Sapp, Donald Sapp, Donald Sapp, Donald Sapp—keep going back and stay on it. Donald Sapp just happened to be involved with a couple whose young toddler girl ‘accidentally’ drown in his pool many, many years ago…the mother of the drowning victim was once Donald’s love interest…
Donald Sapp just also happened to at one time have been a resident of the same exact trailer Ron Cummings lived in—yes the one from which Haleigh was kidnapped.
Donald Sapp filed his required address change as a convicted sex offender disclosing his current address as residing with the widow (dig and you will be shocked to see who this is)
but even more shocked to learn that the widow’s late husband had just days earlier filed a no-contact order against Donald Sapp…

Misty is OFF again – Back on another vacation to “clear her mind”! “She needs some space” – AGAIN!!!
I think it’s funny because in all likelyhood – Clearing her head probably means a line or two of coke, a couple oxy’s to let time release, and maybe some crack or pot or something other than CIGARETTES to smoke – GOTTA have that!
And well, I’m sure on top of it all, she will definately require a drink or two in there to wash everything down -
YUP! She should be CLEAR then!
Wonder if that’s when she’ll finally choose to go sit and chat with the PCSO. …
After watching the “Grace” show tonight, hosted by Mike since Nancy’s mom is in hospital (I send my best regards and wishes to the Grace family) I noticed that Teresa Neves seems to be a little bit more on the map where Miss Ditzy Mitzy is concerned, and judging by her comments, her and Ronald have been pushing at Misty to go talk to LE.
Think the light is finally starting to shine bright in that lady’s “denial” mind!
That, or she really is becoming desperate to find Haleigh at whatever cost, and whoever’s expense! It’s about time! Damn that took her a long time….
As far as the last tip that resulted in PCSO wasting time and energy digging up property to find the body of Haleigh in the bag buried within the well –
ART – For months now, I’ve been saying/asking about Dug and drilled wells in the area. I was astounded when I heard that the tip included that!
Is there any chance that Haleigh’s body was thrown into a well in the area somewhere. I sense, like many others, that she did spend some time in the dumpster, and then was disposed off later in a more “secluded and secret” place.
The whole “WELL” issue has sat in the pit of my belly since the very beginning…. I can’t help but think that that would have been the easiest, most secretive, and a place “last thought of by searchers” with regards to disposing of a body.
Most would not think that a body can fit thru, and down most wells, yet I know different, first-hand, that IT IS do-able. Especially now, that I hear that some of the wells are actually covered over/buried in Florida – I’m sure they are NOT all like that since Wells come in different versions, and some are working, where some may not be up and running. Either way, there’d be nothing to it, and I stand firm that it’s a place that can completely REMOVE someone from the face of the earth -
Something there – One of the neighbours, a place not too close, but close enough to carry a small child to, and just drop in….
How I wish I could grab the next flight out to FL, and go check out that damn neighbourhood myself… Something just isn’t right with this flippin’ case, and the way things are being handled is driving me absolutely crazy.
WE get missing children here a fair bit also, but I gotta tell ya, there is NO time wasted, no stone left unturned, and for the most part, they are usually located. Quite quickly I might add – Tho it might not be in the state or condition that the people want, a body is better than NOTHING –
NOTHING, drives the families and peoples crazy – At least the return of the body to the family is a start to them beginning the grieving and healing process.
This allowing suspects and witnesses to just leave town to party in another town, then the dragging of the heals by LE, the avoidance of disclosing any info to the public, have they given any thought to maybe, their methods of conducting this investigation just AREN’T working! Maybe it’s time to try a new technique or direction…. Enough already of this sloppy, non-producing so called investigation….
Haleigh NEEDS be found! If not her, then her body, at the very least!

It’s obvious that many of the commenters here know the people involved in this case. I’m in OK and I do not know anyone involved. I just hate to see all this finger pointing going on, it’s too early for that. Little Miss Haleigh is the focus right now, not Misty, Ronald, Crystal or anyone else. WE do not KNOW what happened to Haleigh? We don’t know who did what or who knows what? Although, I do think Misty needs to get her butt back home and talk to the police. She knows something more. She has too!
I for one would like to hope that this little girl is still alive. I dont get the same feeling I did with the Caylee Anthony case. I always felt in my heart that Caylee was dead. I just do not know about Haleigh.
I DO know that Ronald Cummings was NOT there when Haleigh went missing, that much has been confirmed. He is a father with a baby girl that could be ANYWHERE in the world! That is so scary! I can not imagine what this man is going through. I can not imagine what Crystal is going through? I don’t know why she doesn’t have custody and Ronald does but, I don’t care! NONE of that MATTERS NOW!
I can understand how Ronald might get upset and pound his fist or get in a fight with in-laws. So what? Sounds like the same crap we all watch on TV!

After listening to the Simon Barrett show from yesterday afternoon, I’ve been thinking…
Cobra mentioned that the “Cummings” home had all kinds of garbage cans strewn about when he was there. They were NEVER emptied or put to dump, even tho there was several of them (5-6) and that they were FULL!
They had been there for quite some time, until finally toppled over and gone thru by racoons….
Can you imagine, instead of picking up the stuff, they just left it there, until neighbours, and the owner of the MH complained….
Here’s where my thoughts have taken me -
Could this be why?
Because they didn’t want to dump it into the dumpster, being that Haleigh was/had been in there?
They didn’t want their “crap” tossed into what potentially could be “evidentiary” at a later date with regards to the missing child!
I know Cobra mentioned it was all ‘Garbage’ can food containers and various cans of different kinds of beer…
That in itself seemed strange – I know I sample different beers at times, for company or for change I might try another style/brand beer, but for the most part, I have my regular usual beer in the fridge.
And Misty, with her cooking dinner, and actually making statements to that – She only gave those kids can food -(Chef-Boy-RD) Everything out of a can!

I thought Chelsea had said she was a light sleeper & that she would have heard if anyone had left the home that night & now she is saying that he was up until 4am that morning & received a call saying that Haleigh was missing & she could hear people yelling Haleighs name on the phone as she was going to lay down ? Is that right ?
She also didn’t feel it important enough to wake Timmy until some time later when she felt the situation had proved news worthy as she didn’t want her children woken up?
She thought that perhaps Haleigh was hiding somewhere in the house as her children liked to hide from her ?
NONE of that even has a ring of truth to it ! It’s not like Timmy would have had to have gone a great distance to check on the situation regarding Haleigh being missing.. They were RIGHT THERE !
So, since Chelsea is talking about that night is she also talking about how Ron allegedly called their home looking for Misty also ? Is she talking about what time Tommy left & what time he came back ? She thinks she knows the comings & goings in that house so if she was unaware that Tommy left that night then that idea is OUT THE WINDOW ! Tommy himself says that he left so how can she debate it if she has even spoken of it ..
Did Chelsea & the rest of the Croslins inform PCSO that Ron had called their home & that Tommy had went to Ron’s that night to check on Misty ? ..
I just find it odd that if Tommy had went to check on Misty that Timmy or Joe wouldn’t have went with him if for no other reason than to just tag along for the walk or ride..

I just hope and Pray this case dosn’t end up in a COLD CASE FILE that in a few years from now that a new detective or detectives pull it and have to start all over.None of this makes any sense it just seems to get more confuseing as it goes along. Ronald should have Never left his childern wth a 17 yr old who just came back from a 3 day party spree, But I haven’t had much in respect for him messing around with child anyway, To me that just say’s alot about him. Wanting a child to help raise children O Please!!!! She is just a child herself wanting to play house, not needing the responablities of children to go along with it. Wow! Just watched Nancy Grace – Mike Brooks was sitting in for Nancy. Apparently Misty has taken off for Orlando with her girlfriend AGAIN & Mike Brooks was coming down hard on Misty for leaving town & not talking to LE. He was calling it a ‘vacation’ and questioning how she could afford to go on a ‘vacation’ since she has never held down a job. He ask Teresa Neves if Misty’s girlfriend was independently wealthy and Teresa replied “her husband might be.” With so many negative fingers pointed at Misty and so many MISTY HATERS in Satsuma (even her husband, Ron says ‘you keep your friends close & your enemies closer’) Why wouldn’t Misty want to take the opportunity and get the hell outta Dodge? Then again maybe this ‘Kind Couple’ has taken Misty under their wing and offered her a ‘job’ – Maybe writing a book??? After watching Nancy Grace last Friday night and seeing the interview with Misty(sitting with her mom) – a more complete interview and just not little interview tid-bits that I saw before – I believe Misty’s tears were real. Just like her answer a few months ago as to why she didn’t have a lawyer “A lawyer is for guilty people”. I beleive a child molester is responsible & even though there are so many registered sex offenders in that area he may not be known. He either knows the family or has watched them & is familiar with the trailer. Thanks Art~for giving us a place to post our comments. I don’t have a problem with Ronald. He’s paying the ultimate penalty anyone could pay right now.
His 911 call is one of the most genuine reactions that I’ve ever heard. It’s truly painful to listen to.
When the family mud-slinging started, he stayed his course and his steely glares to the cameras only made him more credible in my eyes.
I can even identify with his desire to keep Misty close while he’s waiting for the evidence that brings him closure.
I, too, know what it means for a father to get custody over two children in these parts and one sneaky court appearance won’t cut it. For all his faults, he was trying to do the best with the cards he was dealt.
Did he need some counseling? well, yeah…but he didn’t deserve to lose his little girl.
Ron’s story is one of tragedy but it’s not over. When the shoe drops, he might very well try to take a few people out and justified as it might seem, I hope he doesn’t do it.
To get revenge would leave Jr. without his father and no….that’s not for the best. He can’t just make arrangements for Grandma to raise him. Jr. would still view it as abandonment later on. He’d feel as if he wasn’t worth Ron sticking around for.
I’m rooting for Ron….”Don’t do it. When this is over, grab your boy and move somewhere away from all that will remind you of this. Start fresh & be there for your boy.”

I find it strange that someone who loves Misty like a sister & loves the kids, laid in bed for two hours before waking her husband. And shortly after they just up & moved out of state.
And now Misty is gone again. A trip to Disney. Jr. would love that. But he didn’t go. Art, any idea who this rich woman is that took Misty to Disney? Since the news were there when she picked Misty up for Universal, I’m surprised they didn’t pick up on that. They only shot the front of her car…mmmm. And where has this wonderful friend been up till now? TN says they met a year ago. I think an advocate has stepped in rather than a friend.

Art, please clear something up for me,,,please……The back door that Misty said was held open by the cinder block,,,was the screen back door right…On the NG show we saw the inside door automatically close,,,soooo, my question is this,,,,exactly which door was being propped open….If it was the outter door,,how did Misty see this with the inner door closed….or were both doors propped open……I can’t get this tidbit clear in my mind…Thanks

This has been an emotional case for me , the same as the Caylee case…however, this case has some hint of dysfunction as I experienced when I was a child…For those of you who do not understand what it is like to be raised in an alcoholic, fighting, cussing and neglectful family,,,this is pure hell for a child…The fights, the trips to the police station, hospital,, because my mother was profusively bleeding from the head…My grandmother ended up giving me some semb;lence of “normal” living….I know for a fact what living in this type of household is about,,,,,that is why I can say this,,,,,Florida children’s services dropped the ball with Haleigh and now they are giving Junior the chance to be next on the news,,,,missing or found shot to death….When you have the dynamics of this brood,,,,drugs, alcohol, tempers flaring, jealousie, rage, guns,common thoughts like “only God can judge .me”,,all of these things we the public have seen first hand,,,this is the recipe for another disaster….Who will it be next,,,,,Junior?? Misty???? who knows,,,but something will happen and you can take that to the bank….

I’m SICK of seeing Teresa being beat up on Nancy Grace, and SICK of the Bullchit info from Crackheads in Jail being taken as gospel. I have no idea of what happened, so I could be wrong, but I SURE hope LE can get to the bottom of this and if that CHILD Misty has been telling the truth and it comes out… I think Nancy Grace and Everyone acting like she is guilty should apologize. When Misty was off partying with her friends that weekend,where was Ronald and who was watching his children?He probably was not in any frame of mind to pay much attention to them,since he was angry with Misty and wondering where she was. JMO: misty was exhausted that night, spiteful toward ron, stressed to the max, angry & in no mood for any acting up. I think the son fell asleep but Haleigh probably was rambunctious & this chick lost control & took out her anger & stress out on poor little Haleigh & maybe shook her (or worse) & ended up killing her. this misty chick is not a good kid- in fact she sounds like someone who flagrantly disobeys any rule or social convention aka- a bad seed. She quit school in the 6th grade (according to her sister in law)left her ‘kids’ for 3 DAYS supposedly to go off doing who cares what, and has the audacity to sit in an interview w/ an adult who’s asking why she told different stories and reply with “i don’t know” when there’s a CHILD MISSING:) that shows what kind of person she is and the TOTAL LACK OF URGENCY she has with these vague responses seems pretty telling that unfortunately it’s too late to do anything about saving Haleigh. Why doesn’t Nancy Grace refer to Haleigh as a beautiful little florida girl- the same way she always does w/ Caylee A? This little girl is so precious & her personality really comes across in pics- I really hope that her family can start to wake up and hold the loser babysitter accountable. In some ways this chick is using their hope that Haleigh’s alive to keep them off her back, nobody wants to believe she’s been accidentally killed by an irate babysitter (wouldn’t be the first time)- we all hope she’s ok, but that hope can be blinding in a case like this, when it’s so OBVIOUS. This girl literally has nothing to lose but her freedom, so why would she confess? she certainly doesn’t seem like someone who has any desire to “do the right thing.” I think LE is going to have to get creative w/ this one.

If she was at home though, and her brother was banging on the door, she might have been in a deep in sleep, but the two children would have been woken up by the banging. That probably would have frightened them. They probably would have tried to wak Misty up.

As for misty’s brother going to the trailer that night and knocking on the door, he would have known that he and Misty had smoked pot around 6pm that evening together. Don’t know if that makes you sleepy or not but Misty probably had enough drugs in her system already from the 3 day drug binge she had been on. So maybe he felt comfortable enough to get inside the house and take Haleigh after Misty went to sleep. I thought I had read someplace before that Misty and Ron kept an extra house key hidden outside someplace. So if Misty’s brother or even Joe knew where that key was, they could go into the house very easily.
I don’t think Misty knows what happened to Haleigh. She may have her suspicions, but that’s all they are, just suspicions. As many times as LE has questioned her, they are still not any closer to finding Haleigh. I’m sure they have already asked her every question under the sun. What new questions could they possibly have to ask her? She had been questioned lots and lots of times by LE.
If I were looking at anyone as a suspect, it would be Joe or Tommy.

I have to agree with Kat in that I don’t think Misty has a clue as to what happened to Haeligh.,except that I do believe she is the one who propped open the doors. I do not believe however that it was stranger abduction and never have. I believe that Ron could have crossed the wrong person for the last time, either that or someone was getting back at Misty for something she had done. I believe that someone who partied with Misty for those days may very well be involved. I will always believe that Misty propped those doors open,in order to gain a quiet rentrance to the home., and if this is so, she needs to speak the truth.It is very possible that someone in their circle knew she did this on a regular basis and took advantage of it.
Misty’s accusations that someone from Crystals side had something to do with this is ludicrous. She needs to start following her lawyers advise and close her mouth.

They don’t have it right. I’ve been telling LE from first week that a sex predator is the one who Haleigh was taken to. Untill they check out what I’m telling them this case will never be solved. I saw Haleigh and the man with her. I saw his MO which is well known to Le. Le Thinks I read this stuff from the net somewhere. But as far as I know they don’t put police file with all the gory details on the internet. No way I could have known this stuff. But I know that I have this one right. Oh by the way, you probaly will be hearing my name on Nancy grace at some point because I told the Yale university police where to look for Annie Le body and they found her there. I saw haleigh just like I did Annie Le.

evryone says that ron is accounted for and that he passed a lie detecter test and is cleared. I for one believe that he is the key to all of this. Not giving misty an out, for she too is probably in as deep as ron and they are covering for one another. I think that ron did something to her before he went to work, got his buddys to do away with the body while he was at work (or he did before he left for work), and has scared misty into silence. he’s getting worried now and realizes he can’t keep a lid on her much longer, and the truth will eventually come out. but when it does, they will both be to blame.drugs will be involved. i don’t believe either of them meant for whatever happened, to happen, but it did, and they covered it up. BOTH of THEM. they were use to getting away with unlawful things, and never realized this case would be in the spotlight it is today. they figured that eventually it would just go away, and they could go their seperate ways, forget about it and be glad they never got caught. but here came the media and nancy grace and art harris, and a few others. so he marries her thinking they can’t testify against each other,(idiots that they are), and then found out he was wrong about that, too. His aliby went on all night, with the phone calls, and the fake phone fight, and stopping by the store on his way home, even though he couldn’t reach her all night. it’s odd that the 911 call wasn’t made till he got home…All this is a cover up to me. no one that had just spent 3 days partying with others would go back home and not talk to her man all night,or dare go out again immediently, while trying to smoosh her way back to him. especially a man like ron that you can bet has a temper tantrum everytime things don’t go his way. he had misty there to keep his kids for him, not because he loved her. he can manipulate teenagers in trouble, he was use to doing that. just ask the real mom about that. i know they are people like this, and they will do whatever i takes to keep themselves out of trouble. he is telling her she will be the one going down for whatever took place, and we can only imagine what that really is! if i’m wrong, then i’m just wrong. but that misty is not smart enough to do something to the child, and cover it up so well. the grandmother knows, too. she is about the fakiest of them all, with her new make over and her god talking she is doing. these people are no different than the anthony’s. Only the law there refuses to stick their neck out for one reason or another and put the cranks on misty. i say put her lil’ behind in jail and she will sing like a bird after a while. she’s only seventeen, she will break if she’s pushed. i hope they don’t wait so long that they find her somewhere in a ditch. ron really needs to be looked at much closer than he is. i am sick of nancy grace treating him like an angel on the air. really, GMAB.ron is as involved with the dissapearence of his daughter as the babysittter/NOT, is. they akk know what happened, both family’s, and they all are covering for ron and misty. that is the only reason no one has come forward with the truth.

I think Misty was in a deep sleep due to taking some drugs. In one interview her Mom stated that Misty said when she and the kids all went to sleep they were watching one video but when she woke up there was a different video in.One that Haleigh wanted to watch,so Haleigh must have changed the videos. I think she knew where Misty put her drugs and I think she must have took something and when Ron came home they found her dead and between the both of them they came up with this story. I think they both know what happened to Haleigh.

I do not believe the new story Misty and Tommy are telling because- they have been in custody a while now and Joe could not have harmed them…. had they told it to start with, Haleigh would have been found and the police would know what happened and who was responsible. Misty has realized the prison time she is going to get and therefore came up with a story that Tommy has gone along with so she could get a shorter sentence. Joe could have been involved, but Misty and Tommy are too….I am more inclined to believe that Misty killed her and these two helped cover it up.
