Exclusive: Misty Cummings Back With Haleigh’s Dad!

After almost a week on the road, her relationship with husband Ronald Cummings on and off the ropes, she’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack home in Satsuma and apparently patched up with Haleigh’s father.
That’s right, Misty Cummings, the 17 year old babysitter turned stepmother who last saw Haleigh Cummings alive, who was staying with mother in law Teresa Neves earlier this week, sources tell us, has moved back into the trailer home with Haleigh Cummings Dad, Ron, and stepson, Junior, after ironing out a few issues.
“What young, married couple doesn’t have issues?” said Ronald’s grandmother, Annette Sykes, in an exclusive chat with The Bald Truth, adding that rift reports were overblown. Mrs. Sykes, the apparent rock of the Cummings family, has welcomed Misty back into her home, and tells me everything is now fine between them.
But we are still wondering why Misty may have taken off, other than to clear her head, as her lawyer has said, and what sparked what sources described as serious conflict with Ronald while they were apart…
Sources close to the situation tell us exclusively that Misty tried to speak with a Baptist minister after attending a church service while away from Satsuma, but he was unavailable. Our sources say she waited around, then finally gave up and hit the road again. Just what may have been troubling her that she may have wanted to get off her chest?
“She told me that while she was on her vacation, she went to a church, but I don’t know if she spoke to a minister or tried to,” said her lawyer, Robert Fields, in an exclusive interview with me Friday.
While on the road, we’ve reported she paid a visit to Universal Studios in Orlando, where she was spotted at the amusement park with a Haleigh pendant around her neck, playing tourist, then took off when the press blasted her whereabouts.
Her family is now spinning that she and Ron spoke on the phone every day, but our sources are telling us it was hardly happy talk. And how come Ronald didn’t pick up her call one day, but texted her back that he was too busy to talk and would call later. Unsure if he ever did. But if all was perfect in Satsuma, what happened to the romantic beach rendezvous that never happened?
We understand, that despite the loving photo op before Misty left, there were questions about a deep divide, bordering on possible breakup, but that whatever “issues” there were, they’ve been ironed out in the last few days. Ronald told me months ago in Satsuma he was keeping her around because if she left, he’d never find out what happened to Haleigh. “You keep your friends close and enemies closer,” he said.
Now, her mother in law, Teresa Neves, on The Nancy Grace Show Wednesday, says she can’t account for Misty’s conflicting accounts of what happened the night Haleigh vanished and her brother, Tommy Croslin, banged on her door, got no answer–and that her family is so dysfunctional, it’s hard to tell what’s up…but still supports her. She told Grace, a former prosecutor, that she just can’t play investigator and try to keep the family together.
Indeed, her mother, Lisa Croslin, Wednesday waived extradition in Tennessee, and should be picked up soon by Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies to bring her back to the Putnam County Jail, where her bond is expected to be about $10,000. Her husband, Hank, Sr., disabled for now from a car accident and drawing unemployment, tells me he has no idea how he will bail her out, but expects Misty wll visit her mother in jail, even though in her heart, Lisa has said she feels Misty knows more than she’s telling.
At the same time, her mother in law, Neves, insists she still believes, as Misty has maintained, she was asleep at the trailer, despite flunking two polygraph tests along with private investigator T. J. Ward’s Layered Voice Stress Analysis showing deception.
The reason? The answer is that she was was partying for days before that and just crashed; whether drugs, sex and rock and roll can be used as a defense, or turned into an asset for someone police say holds the key to what happened to the missing child, is a question for the lawyers. Voluntary, or involuntary intoxication? A hangover defense? Misty’s family also tells me she’s always been a deep sleeper, could sleep through a freight train.
“I could never wake her up when she had to go to school,” her father, Hank Croslin, Sr., tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview.
Meanwhile, I’m told investigators still want to meet the so called tipster the St. Augustine, Fla. woman on the video claimed she gave her info she turned over to the local newspaper; sources tell me she met with detectives over a mystery letter with purported details where Haleigh’s body might tbe found, but it turned out to be a bust. They are still waiting for her so called source to come forward, an 80 year old retired FBI informant she has yet to cough up.
There’s no evidence she’s been proved a hoax, my sources tell me, but now skeptical cops want to speak with the man she claims gave her the info.

Well all I have to say is it appears more and more likely that little Haleigh will never be found…These folk just stick together like glue and the poor childrenn are such victims here…It can only be assumed that Misty wanted to be noticed, that is why she had a Haleigh pin on..these people are just the scum of the earth..Ms. Neves included..IMO they are all junkies…and Ms Neves is at the top of my list…there are lots of SOCIAL junkies who go to work everyday.

Art, why did you build up the lies about Ronald and Misty being in a fight and all the drama that goes with it, Did you not see the video of them kissing and hugging in the front yard and Ronald walking Misty over to the waiting car.What is up with that, And now Mrs. Neves comes on Nancy Grace an says that they all knew where Misty was from the get go and there was no fight with Ronald or anything,GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, I see T.J. refuses to lie just to get on some show and start drama thought you were devoted to the truth and only the truth…Maybe you should join him and tell the truth about what is happening in the case, We all want HaLeigh to come home or be found but not if it means sensationalizing the story just for the fun of it…..Im not sure I can believe anything you write from now on!

JUST ME–I stand by MY sources, and do not take staged photo op kissy-face sessions as the gospel. You’ve been played like a reality show. Misty may have checked in with others, but those who were familiar with her conversations with Ron tell me what I reported and believe to be accurate…when I have an update or can flesh out what I’ve reported, I will post it. Your choice whether you choose to read or not. TJ is a great guy and fine reporter, but may have had a different experience, and different sources who weren’t as plugged in as mine on this one. During other twists in the story, I tip my hat to him for getting there first with first rate reporting. I hope she is back for good, but on another post on topix someone said she is missing again. That would be hard to believe. NOT! Art, can you tell me why Nancy Grace continues to support Ron, Misty and Ron’ mother. She needs to ask more pressing questions, she needs to get up in their face. Why won’t she put some pressure on them? All three of them are hiding something and everyone else sees it. I know if my child was missing and the last person that saw them was living in my house, then they would be talking. I would beat her a** until she talked. I probably wouldn’t but they are all hiding something. I wish Nancy would quit worry about her show’s ratings and put some heat on these people.

She is not staying with Teresa. In fact on Nancy’s show her producer said yes she was home with Ronald and Mrs. Sykes. Ron did meet her for a few days.
You need to fire your sources or double check their facts.
I do not believe Tommy banged on any door when he went back over there late that night. Did Tommy unlock the side door earlier in the day when he was there so he could go back and steal later?

Hey, Vac, I’ll take my sources any day…she did not have a romantic rdvu with Ron while on the road, and check what Nancy’s producer said, that she was BACK in town, and had spent the night with Teresa, then apparently moved back to Mrs. Sykes, who conceded to me today that there had been “issues,” like many young couples. Only their issues are far deeper than most, I can assure you.

Holy Cow ! Teresa Neves has the nerve to claim that Misty’s family is dysfunctional ! Has she ever looked at her own ? BOTH those families put the “funk” in dysfunctional ! Misty only makes herself look more guilty by the day, and Ms. Neves acts more like Cindy Anthony every day ! They are ALL crazy, and Ms. Neves certainly is making herself look like a fool on Nancy Grace ! So, now can we expect this case to go on and on, and see Ms. Neves on national TV everytime we change the channel? Is she about to steal the “lime-light” from Cindy Anthony ? These two women are too much alike, and the Cummings case is seeming more and more copy cat to the Anthony case all the time !

Since the Cummings “clan” are making this seem so copy cat to the Anthony Case, why not take it ALL the way, and let it backfire on them? They arrested Casey on “suspicion”, why not do the same with Misty ? Something still doesn’t seem right here….Art….When Ronald was questioned,(in the begining)he said he got off work about 3 am, and stopped at the store on the way home for beer and cigarretts…well first of all, WHERE can you buy beer in Florida at 3 AM !! Nowhere to my knowledge !It may seem like something trivial, but it’s still a hole in his story ! Which makes me wonder just hoow many more holes we can find if we go through all of his statements again !
I’d also like to know who their “rich friends” are…Ronald got a tattoo that cost a few hundred dollars, and a “freind” paid for it….Ms. Neves was asked by Nancy Grace, how Misty got the money to go to the theme park in Orlando, she said, a “friend” paid for it. If you also look at pictures of Ms. Neves from even just a month or so ago, and look at her now, and she looks different(almost like she’s had a a face lift or something) Did the “friend” pay for that too ? Ronald was on Nancy Grace with his lawyer, and Ronald was wearing a brand new suit(heck he didn’t even wear a suit for his wedding !)SO, my question is: Where is ALL this money coming from ? Nancy asked Ms. Neves WHO the friend was, and Ms. Neves would not say. That money is coming from somewhere, and it’s alot, apparently ! IF they have a “friend” with that kind of money, where was this friend when they were living in tents ?

Im starting to really think bad about Ron’s mom and himself. They are enabling Misty. If she has nothing to hide and hasn’t done anything wrong and truly wants to find haleigh, she doesn’t need a lawyer to talk to police. Now she won’t talk and claims it’s all her attorneys fault. This is making Ron and his family really bad. They make excuses for her. I think the only one that really wants justice is Haleighs mother, Crystal and jr. should be with her. My prayers go out to Crystal and the Sheffield family, who have nothing to hide and have done so so much more to try to find that beautiful little girl. The rest of the bunch make me sick and I love Nancy Grace but she treats Crystal like crap and treats the Cummings clan with kid gloves.

And Maybe Ron’s Mother may be on to somthhing here…she says that the whole family is disfuncuctional …she might see into a cover up with those two brother’s at Ron and Mistys expense. Art.This is a strange case.However When it comes to LDT I dont believe in them.Due to I myself faild one.And I know I was telling the truth.They keept asking repeated questions,which cauese me to get aggravated,therefore my stress level went up throwing test off.I also know that,some serial killers,have passed them,even though later.Admitting to the killings.Could it just possibly be That little Haliegh was abducted.When viewing D casey investigations,in Caylee Anthonys case.I see where the have a S Offender,who lives in area where Haliegh went missing.The older man was joking with another man.about going to the mall,to search for children.Said he liked to rape kids under 5.Was this man checked out.How do we really know shes not hidden in a bunker somewhere.Or haa been taken somewhere out of town.We could possably find her body in another town,or state someday.Im sorry i do not think Misty murdered the child.I do believe she could have cut phone off to keep from fussing,an fell into an exausted sleep.I do believe Ron Jr,or Haliegh could have opened door for person.Due to Ron jr crawling over Misty while under Hypno.Children are smart,they know how to pull chairs up to turn lights on,or open doors.Do not believe mistys family,they spoke after,restraning order.Clearly these people there,are only guessing.In order to get reward.Le would have already arrested Misty,if they had any inkling she harmed this child.Look at Pedifiles,an their friends.Trailor park,children playing out doors,Rons night shift,wooded area to easly slipp away.What happened to Dogs hitting behind the house,small foot print being found near river.Then looping around another block.Leading to CSX RR tracks,an scent being lost there.Where a SO could have parked,while going to get child,returning to ride off in to the wind.With Haliegh.It Rail car rider,use to got to small towns.Jump off,break in an rape,an murder.Then jump rail car an,be off again.He killed many this way,was caught,an was a season fruit picker.Many things could have happen to that baby girl!!! Can this woman be forced to tell who gave her the information,”the so called 80 yr old retired FBI informant?” I am just wondering? I know journalist do not have to,but do private citizens have that same right of protection?
Also do the police want to talk to Misty in your opinion based on Nay Nay’s letter about the party?
How can Ron even be civil to Misty after hearing all of this and that she may have possible caused harm to his child? It has to be so hard on Ron and his Mother,Teresa.Teresa, you can tell is devastated by it all. I still don’t think Ron is 100% innocent here yet though. Time will tell.

Don’t you think if Misty never answered the phone, he would never of stopped at the mini-mart? He would of drove straight home.

Art, can you answer this…. in regards to the letter that was dropped off at the newspaper.. was an old well covering found or anything like it? Just think LE statement is not completely clear and direct. To say nothing “came up” could be double talk.. and why not elaborate on “special abilities”?
Cent–First, from talking with several folks in the know, nothing came of very specific, treasure hunt directions to a possible body in the area around the trailer. so who would perhaps want someone to check it out without any blowback? Maybe a self annointed “psychic” who got a friend or true believer to trot on in and pull, not exactly a hoax, but a fantasy wish they believed in their delusion just had to be played out?
If by some heavenly roll of the dice, the same kind of hunch some use to bet a number in Vegas, came up all 7s, well, bingo, they come out of the closet, take a bow and write a book. A so called psychic’s or psycho’s lucky lottery gambit…But what if, as this is believed to be, another other high drama lead that lead nowhere? Chalk it up to the graveyard, bad analogy, of some 4,000 other tips law enforcement has diligently chased down and ruled out because that’s what they have to do?
Is this another hunch, fantasy, rumor, that served no purpose but to exhaust hardworking investigators? If that was the only basis in the tipster coming forward, she should be arrested and charged with filing a false police report, something, anything to dissuade whackos.
We know of one delusional blogger with hero fantasies, who once served time and has no business in this business, who dispatched a whacko follower to file an official police report that Crystal Sheffield’s former lawyer, Kim Picazio, had the child secreted away. Can you believe detectives had to actually take this down, clinching their teeth all the way? Do you have any idea how much time and money self-annointed fools have cost taxpayers, inflicting yet more pain and grief on grieving parents, and adding nothing positive to the search for Haleigh?
In the case of the lady in scrubs, for all we know, she was a pal of another mental case who purports to have a psychic dog? Helloooooo. Where do these people come from, investigators ask. What rock did they crawl out from under? One source tells me detectives wasted two days tracking what sounded like a great tip, that when tracked back to the originator, 5 people away, learned the original rumor passer had heard or misheard it watching Nancy Grace and turned her notion into a slinky that couldn’t be stopped until it hit the bottom of the stairs.
However promising this tip may have seemed in the initial hype, it’s gone nowhere fast, and if turns out to be fool’s gold, passed as pure by the tipster, we hope the counterfeiters of truth will be ordered by a court to reimburse Putnam County for the time and overtime, identified and outted, maybe marched through the streets of Palatka in sack cloth with a sign, “I’m a liar, liar, pants on fire,” something, anything to deter this sort of disservice to Haleigh and insult to every missing child who needs to be found.
The blond tipster in scrubs may still believe she was righteous, but if she wants us to buy it, and law enforcement to give her the benefit of the doubt, she needs to identify herself so, if a phony, others she’s deluded in the past will raise their hands and say, ‘what took you so long?’ Fooled again…Is she yet another rumor passer, a frenzy-feeding blogger? Detectives should be able to demand her phone records, put her on a polygraph, make her prove her credibility, and if bogus, tell us so we can be on the lookout for those who keep yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Art, I am so glad you are persuing this case. If law enforcement doesen’t keep applying pressure Misty will never tell the truth, She is a surviver and was raised up as an underdog. People like that can lie as easy as they breathe. She has everything to gain and Crystal and Ron have everything to loose. As long as Theresa backs her she thinks that she has fooled the Matriarch and will continue lying. She holds the key and thinks she has fooled everyone. Keep up the great work!!!

Saw Ron and his lawyer on Nancy Grace tonight. I simply can’t understand why he still accepts Misty’s story about the night Haleigh disappeared,even though he couldn’t reach her on the phone that night. Maybe she has told him the real story in private, but for their own reasons, he’s not telling. I’m beginning to wonder whether this case will ever be solved.

Fla will never solve this case. If a sex offender like Evander Couey could be overlooked right next door I dont have much faith they can solve this either. My bet is on Tommy. Big deal he says he knocked on the door. He probably also proped it open with a brick too, because he was their earlyer , got stoned or gave missy drugs, and knew she was already exausted from her 3 day party,also he knew she was a deep sleeper, so he set her up and then took Raleigh.

Oh Gee!! That sounds like the man that was spotted with her in the campgrounds possibly several months ago. It’s just a guess however because I pray that this poor baby is still alive somewhere and maybe this person only just said, she was dead to throw people off of their tracks. I pray that it is that way and people can still look for her and not give up!! ((((((Haleigh)))) Love ya sweetie!! All I can say is bring her home to her Mother where she belongs and hopefully Junior can be returned to the Bio-Mother as well! *MUAH* oxox

Saw the rerun of the “NIGHT” on NG.
First impressions and statements are usually correct.
After months now of thinking Misty is guilty of something,
I am having a change of heart. She is guilty of something…but….that night when the 911 telephone responder asked her if the door had been pried open, if she was lying she would have immediately said “no”…instead she said “hold on let me check.” She obviously didn’t know how door was opened….unless she was looking to Ronald was a response (but I don’t think so).
A review of the tapes show Misty really, really distraught.
Ronald on all interviews is too calm….too self-controlled.
I do go back to my original suspicion….Ronald KNOWS what happened…Misty knows…after the fact.
The 20 calls Ronald was supposed to have made to Misty with no response, were the calls between 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. or were the calls over the time period from 8:30 pm to 3:00 am?
If from 8:30-10:00, why didn’t he go home to check on the kids? If from 8:30 -3:00, why didn’t he go home to check on the kids? AND THE BIGGIE, WHY DID HE STOP FOR BEER AND CIGARETTES, IF THERE WAS NO ANSWER FROM HIS TRAILER FROM 8:30 PM – 3:00 am?
Ronald’s actions and reactions are the most puzzling….
maybe he did send Misty on a week’s get-a-way. Something is not right about that guy despite what Nancy Grace says and thinks…and I do respect her history of prosecutions…but even the best can be wrong sometimes.

I have to believe for my own sanity that LE is going to take Misty C into custody and grill her until she cries like the child she is and tell the TRUTH!!! Hell, isn’t there a chance that if she were so drugged out the night that beauutiful child went missing that she does not even remember??? Would a polygraph still be effective???
Thank God that Misty has not given birth to her own offspring!!! Hopefully that it not her next move!!!

Missed you the last few days. You know this is the same old Cummings Clan. I believe this was a planned stunt to get Misty out of reach. I believe they wanted everyone to believe they were at odds, even though they may not have been, that is why Ron looked into the camera and grinned. They are pure ignorant!!!! They keep playing these stupid games!!! How in the world does someone continue to play useless games instead of concentrating on finding his daughter? They say they do not care who it implicates; they just want Haleigh home. Their actions speak volumes and in my opinion they either know where Haleigh is hidden or that she is not coming home. They just want this to end so they can go on with their lives. I also believe that they all are covering for Misty in order to protect Ronald. You know as well as I do stronger alibis have been broken.
Apparently Terry Shoemaker knew where Misty was and what was going on. He did not bother to clear it up. Then when she was back in Satsuma he is actually grinning on Nancy Grace like hahaha. Teresa neves says I would of told you and thought it was NO BIG DEAL! Then why this was being made a big deal and she was appearing on Nancy Grace, why did she not clear it up?
We have seen LE make sure those close and important witnesses in this case stay in Satsuma. Tell me then why did Ron really marry Misty? She is not allowed to leave the area. Misty still would of been close enough for him to control and monitor. No need for the nupituals!
The missing nebulizer still weighs on my mind. I believe either she is using it somewhere or that it was disposed of due to the fact it was evidence of foul play. Perhaps it was not chloroform but something to make Haleigh go to sleep and this time it was just too much. Speculation of course.

I was wondering if a Grand Jury could compel Misty to tell what she knows under the threat of indictment for perjury.

I think Haliegh is deceased and it was likely an accidental OD. Misty is lawyered up now, so there may not be opportunity to offer her a deal.
I do feel that LE did a very poor job being outsmarted by a 17 year old who may have some cognitive limitations.

Children are always truthful, especially little ones like JR. A lie detector test/stress tests needs to be conducted on that pedophile joe/cousin of Misty’s.
Jr. states a man in black took her that night, cops say it’s an abduction. Misty is probably failing these tests because of a guilty conscience and was most likely not babysitting like a professional sitter would. Good grief, will this never end! Sombody needs to put Misty in jail till she can tell the truth, if she even knows what the truth is. This a reality show on the brink of destruction, with a 5 year old ‘missing’ and not a straight story out of any one! Poor Jr, his fate is sealed. I wonder if Misty herself knows what she did that night! I doubt it. I wish there would be a happy out come for Haleigh, but I am afraid that is not going to happen. So many adults knew the living conditions of these children and not one of them stepped up to intervine! They should be ashamed! Just does not fly. Keep at them Art, your her only hope, thank you.

Well there goes Misty again. 1st she has a wedding and now on “child support” money for Haleigh and JR. she goes on vacAtion to an amusement park? Im NOT amused ! She does not have a conciense at all. She’s flipping off the whole world and ought to be ashamed of herself. I can’t figure out how after receiving about $40,000 for back child support from a good samaritan, she can’t afford to get a trailer for her and Ronald to live in. She cries “poor mouth” poor me ? But the upside of that, is they are living with Teresa Neves and so I feel little JR is safe. After all, Teresa Neves has been not only their Precious Grandma, but a Precious Mother figure all of these years. God Bless her. I aqm very touched when I see Crystal hugging her and rubbing her arm, in the clips on TV where Teresa is sitting down crying so hard she can hardly talk. Then theres another shot of Crystal kneeling on the ground next to Ronald, where he is sobbing so hard he can barely talk. The whole time Crystal has tears running down her cheek, but she is again trying to offer comfort. She is stroking Ronalds back to try to comfort him. Those 3 love that little girl beyond measure and its obvious to see they need her to come home now, and nobody deserves whats happened to Haleigh or them. Little Haliegh most of all, is an innocent child.
To Misty I say, “Your days of freedom are numbered. This won’t go away. You can’t run fast enough or far enough. The Law will catch up to you. Hope you like cold concrete and hard steel bars. Becauses thats going to be your home for a vely long time. You are sickening.”
Art, I think they should add the cost of gas, and the cost of time, and salary of the officers picking up her Mom Lisa from Tenn. to the Bail-out money. Why should the tax payers be stuck with the cost of these peoples arrogance and stupidity. Misty, her mom LIsa and brother Tommy along with her cousin Joe, are Bottom Feeders ! Stick them all in jail and take away their cigarettes ! They’ll talk ! These people have given Satsuma a bad name and the world is watching. She is not staying with Teresa. In fact on Nancy’s show her producer said yes she was home with Ronald and Mrs. Sykes. Ron did meet her for a few days.

I do not believe Tommy banged on any door when he went back over there late that night. Did Tommy unlock the side door earlier in the day when he was there so he could go back and steal later?

my biggest roadblock to the whole thing of mistys story is this… why would someone come in a house and take not both children but only one? and if it was a prev they would take misty not haleigh..im hoping that this all comes to a conclusion soon, but there are so many questions people ask them over and over and over.. why not get down and ask them real honest questions that may open some doors..

My thoughts are, Ron does not believe a word Misty says. As long as Ron tries to tolerate Misty he will eventually know where his child is and I do believe that is when JUSTICE will be done. , it wouldn’t be any harm to check this out. In Alabama in 1999 it is believed that a construction worker abducted/killed a young girl age 11 named Teresa Dean from a low income trailer park. Her home was near a construction site. Teresa was never found. Then in 2001 there was another girl taken from a low income trailer park near a construction site her name was Shannon Paulk. She was found dead seven weeks later by rabbit hunters. Then in 2003 another 11 year old girl from a low income trailer park was abducted her name was Heaven Ross. Heaven and Teresa’s bodies were never found. The girls homes were all near a construction site either commercial, roadwork, or bridge building was going on near the parks they lived in. Teresa was taken in August 15, 1999, Shannon was taken August 16, 2001 and Heaven was taken August 19

Something that struck me when Ms. Neves was last on Nancy Grace, when Nancy asked her why she was so sure Haleigh is still alive, Ms. Neves responded by saying that she stands on God’s promise that if you pray for something and have faith and believe then He will give you what you ask for. That is NOT what God’s promise is…He only promises to answer your prayer…but that is NOT necessarily always in the way you would like! Furthermore, NONE of this has ANYTHING to do with God, it has to do with a teen CHILD being left in charge of two very small children. As anyone with kids knows, taking care of small children requires a lot of patience, and most 16/17 y/o children do not possess that kind of patience, especially not day after day. Compound that with the fact this is a girl who is a known drug user, which exposes those kids to even more potential danger.
I know everyone keeps pointing the finger at Misty and I totally believe she knows WAY more than she is saying. But isn’t Ron culpable here in some way for leaving the kids in the care of a teen child day after day??? He is significantly older than Misty, and if not him, someone in this group of adults should have known this was a disaster waiting to happen, in some form or another. Although the bio mom, Crystal doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb in the box either, so I don’t know that they would have been any better off being with her. It is just crazy to see these people, and all the extended family sooooo incredibly screwed up. While Ms. Neves seems like a genuinely loving and caring person she does seem a bit on the naive side. This whole situation is insane.
Hopefully with these new stories coming out, maybe others who might actually know something, such as friends at a possibly party, will start cracking under the pressure. At first I thought, no way would a bunch of kids all keep their mouths shut about a child ODing at a party, but then again if they are all using illicit drugs, maybe the fear of them possibly being implicated in the neglect and subsequent disposal of a body would keep them shut up. Depending of course on how many people are actually involved and if the story is even true.
I have followed this story from the beginning and it just seems to get more ridiculous as time goes on. I hope and pray they find this little girl, no matter what happened, so they can all have closure and hopefully the responsible party/parties will be prosecuted. Although heaven only knows what evidence would still exist after such a long period of time. If she is dead, and if the cause is drugs, it may be impossible to find any proof of that anymore in the remains. It is all just so sad.

I agree with #27, something definately up with Ron.If you look back at the video of him on his knees crying he says he picked Haleigh up from school that Monday and she ran and jumped into his arms. That we now know is BS cause it is a known fact that Misty picked her up. Why on earth would he lie about that at that time. I don’t know but I do know one thing, he doesn’t want to lose Misty weather she had something to do with it or not because that dude will never ever get another chick if she leaves cause the whole world now knows he is a beater.

I dont believe that Ron knows what happened to Haleigh, I DO believe that Misty is hiding something. When Ron gets on these shows for interviews like Nancy Grace for example he stands behind Mistys stories…. I think that maybe he just does that so he CAN keep Misty around to try and figure out what she was doing that night. If he was to say (on t.v.) that he doesnt believe her story, of course she going to watch the news (she is just like another Casey Anthony with the media attention)and she might leave for good. Ive seen the statement that hes said “Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer” That just makes me believe that he himself believes that SHE does know exactly what happened that night. Another thing that I havent heard or read about… Art, Remember JR said that he heard the couch or seen the couch “bouncing” up and down that night? and the “sqweaky” shoes? What ever happened with that?? Well, Ron’s bond was exactly 12,004.00 and no one has ever mentioned a bondsman involved, so speculation, he may have used his own money to get out of Jail.. So, there may not be any money left, and would have been surprised if he had the whole 12 grand lying around to use anyway, it does cost to live.
Needless to say, the entire issue of if misty or ron are together, or not together, if she is home or not at Grandma Sykes.. another sideshow, which does not take anyone any closer to finding Haleigh. Its just another show to watch..
The issue’s of Crystal, Marie heading for Austin and who’s going to foot the bill, I have no idea.. that information has never been put out, I don’t think any of the Reporters have gotten to that point yet. And not sure if they will..
I have been very upset with Nationwide news reports, that seem to speculate and have Haleigh as a Child no longer..

Everyone keeps saying arrest Misty, for what? You think if they had evidence that she was away from the mobile home that night she would have been arrested in the beginning but they don’t. They’ve begged for anyone to come forward that saw her out that night, no one has. So what are they going to arrest her for, being home?
We do have a constitution, thankfully, and this isn’t China where you can be arrested without due cause.
If LE had questioned Tommy in depth in the beginning this case would have been solved. Between the circus that was brought to town in March and an inept sheriff’s dept. this case went no where for almost 7 months. Pathetic

Vaquera, the $12,000 dollars is to go to supporting THE KIDS! Not for Ronald, the tyrant, to support his child bride. That family makes the Anthonys look like the picture perfect family. Atleast you know until Caylee went missing that girl was loved and well taken care of. Now with Jr. those poor kids never had a chance. They had daddy’s underage flavor or the month beating them and having sex and drug parties in the house. Then you find out the flavor of the month was having other flavors while the relationship is going on. Yeah sounds very mature of her to me. You love your kids sooooo much that after all we know about her now thats the person you want to take care of your kids. That family is completely gross. Teresa said to Nancy grace that she knew where Misty was. Nancy said why didn’t you tell me that. She said you never asked. NOT TELL YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS LYING.

I hope and pray Haleigh is alive and well but my gut instinct is that she is gone. And I’m sorry if that offends anyone.I am so sick of reading all these updates about Misty, her body language alone reeks of guilt. Maybe she did not directly do harm to Haleigh but she knows what happened and who is responsible. I’m sure the LE of all branches involved in this investigation are about as fed up with her crap as the rest of the nation and would love nothing more than to slap some cuffs on her sorry ass and throw her under the jail. They have no body, no crime scene to prove she is dead, these ,,,bottom-feeding… will continue to jerk everyone around with their lies and fake leads trying to keep LE going in the wrong direction. Maybe this is all just some sick form of amusement to them. They all (every damn one of them) be locked away in a room together with no cigarettes, drugs or alcohol for a few days, one of them will eventually crack wide open.

I do apologize to everyone Art has an awesome group of people that follow this site and my hat is off to them. Was just checking in to see if theres any more information about little Haleigh. I hope they lock Misty up soon. But 1st I hope they give her a Depo-Provera shot today ! That girl does not deserve to be a Mommy to any child, ever, period. Junior must be so scared inside. One of the things that were turned in as evidence was pliers and 2 strands of her hair attached. Thats all the court needed to prove he did it beyond a shadow of a doubt. So wherever she is and whatever happened to her….Haleigh will be coming home soon. Misty certainly isnt as smart as Scott peterson was. scott peterson thought he was smarter than the Police roo and he enjoyed the fame & celebrity. Someone, somewhere knows the truth. If they don’t want to go down with her and share in her “reward” by the Judge and Jury, then they better speak up while they can. Its only a mtter of time. I hope Misty has nightmares every night, all night and no peace….thats what she deserves. Ronald & Crystal are in anguish. They might not be the best parents, but nobody deserves what they’ve been put through. When I look at the pictures of them with Haleigh, it brings me to tears every single time. A friend of mine and I have been watching this case from the beginning. She wondered why Ron and Teresa Neves stood behind Misty. My theory is if Ron left Haleigh and Junior with a known drug abuser (Misty) he could be charged with child endangerment. I think furthermore, he either knows or suspects the truth but won’t speak out because he would lose custody of his son Junior. Just my opinion.

I spoke with someone about how I thought these officers had to be out of their minds to fully believe Hank Jr. The person I know of whom has nothing to do with this case said he thinks the cops are not that gullible,it’s a pressure tactic in hopes to get a reaction. Hopefully that is right and behind the scenes they are looking into all possibilities and applying same pressure to all persons.

Art,when Misty was questioned about the night Haleigh went missing,she said she washed Haleigh’s blanket and hers (the one that was on the window) because hers was in the van.Why would it be in the van?Why would she lie about washing them?Ronald said they did not have any washing powders.Also how can you take a vacation or get away when you have a child missing?Is everyone in that family on drugs?There’s seems to be so many lies,drugs,alot of parting,i pray not around those kids.It seems that everyone Misty and Ron associate with do drugs,or are in jail for drugs.I personally would not subject my kids to this kind of life style. To Ms. Neves Did you miss the part where Misty said her and Ron came back home and took a nap unit 12:00 after they dropped off Haliegh at school. So they were not up for 24 hours straight. When Great Grandma dropped off clothes I guess she didn’t bring the one outfit that Haleigh wanted to wear? So all the way to Welaka that Monday Morning. Haleigh had to be late for school cause kids were already at the bus stop. They couldn’t have made it in time. Misty said she walked her in school. You have to check a student in when they are tardy. Is there a record of her being tardy. If Ron called 20 x he was not too worried about his kids, stopped at the store and as Ron told NG I pulled in the driveway and asked what she was doing up? Wouldn’t it be “WHY DIDN’T YOU ANSWER THE PHONE”? OR Something along those lines. So many lies! I guess it is okay to lie to police. I don’t get it! We want to find Haleigh, but this town is about DONE with them. TN please stop your fake sniffing now we know where Ron gets it from. The 911 call from a infant whine to yelling at Misty. If they each had there cell phones why did Ron have to use the one Misty was on? He made sure his statement was on the recording about police not coming before he hung up. TOO STAGED!!!!!!!!!

You have got to be kidding me that you are continuing to back this Tommy/Hank Croslin story. 7 months later, after being arrested, he says he went to the trailer and she wasn’t there. Really. And in the meantime this crackhead and his mom steal a gun and checks from a neighbor. Really.

I think Misty is telling them what she knows, she has undergone many interrogations even without her lawyers consent… and she is saying that it was probably either Tommy/Hank or the Cousin who fled to Tennessee.

JUST ME–I stand by MY sources, and do not take staged photo op kissy-face sessions as the gospel. You’ve been played like a reality show. Misty may have checked in with others, but those who were familiar with her conversations with Ron tell me what I reported and believe to be accurate…when I have an update or can flesh out what I’ve reported, I will post it. Your choice whether you choose to read or not. TJ is a great guy and fine reporter, but may have had a different experience, and different sources who weren’t as plugged in as mine on this one. During other twists in the story, I tip my hat to him for getting there first with first rate reporting. Journalism is a snapshot in history, and what we often write depends on where we are standing on the sidelines as the plays go on in the backfield. Hello, first of all, how do you know if your sources are better informed then TJ,s, with all due respect, I think the video speaks for its self, and I hope you dont want me or anyone else to believe that the video was a fake one, now, if there was a big fight and Misty was about to leave because of it, I cant and wont believe that someone said to them, Hey guys, if you dont want the world to think yall are fighting lets make a fake video so yall will look like two Love birds and no one will be the wiser, and so Ronald said OK, I hate that girl but I’ll suck it up and we will hug and kiss and Ill pat her butt just so we can make liars out of the news reports that are gonna come out and say we had a fight. hmm OK..very believable..
Also you say now that Misty is the one that sources heard from and she said they were fighting, hmmm, we all know how truthful Misty is dont we,I think it would be in everyones best interest if things that get reported come from someone with a little better track record, maybe if you heard all this from someone talking to Misty, you should check them out also, you know birds of a feather and all that.
Last but not least,you say Ive been played like a reality show, hmmm, is Ronald and Misty back together, did Ronalds Mother herself say that there was no problems between Ronald and Misty, and that Ronald actually met up with Misty and enjoyed a day together at a park, I think she did, and that supports the supposingly fake video,and so…..I believe it is you Mr. Art that was played like a reality show. The proof is there for all to see!

I have a question. If Ron was sooo concerned about Misty not being home the night Haliegh went missing and called her 20 times then why does he take the time to stop and get cigarettes and beer at 3 am. If you were a normal Dad wouldn’t you be running home when you couldn’t get in touch with the person who was watching your children and even if he stayed at work, run straight home???????

Did Misty have a car or van? Was this in the driveway when Misty’s brother came over and knocked on the door? Also why couldn’t they tell by the pings of her cell phone if she was home or away, and what time she turned off her phone.If she turned it off after the time her brother came by-she wasn’t sleeping.

I am bothered by a couple of things, mostly the fact that Ron and his mom seem so protective of Misty! And I really hate how NG coddles both of them and seems to spit in the face of Haleigh’s mother, Crystal. The one thing that really bugs me is that interview on the Today show with MV. When she asks Misty why she told conflicting stories, she hesitates, almost looks at Ron for guidance with her answer, then says “I don’t know”.
I know this, if I was at work and my sitter wasn’t picking up the phone all night long, I wouldn’t have stopped for anything and would have left early after one or two calls to find out what was up….
There are so many things that just don’t make sense, many have already been pointed out.

I feel very sorry for Misty. She had a very troubled childhood, and is a victim of her raising.
She is only 17, just a kid. I dont understand why everyone wants her locked up. There have been lots of crimes where responsible adults were sleeping and there child was abducted from their bed.Why are you all so certain it did not happen in this crime???????

Right when Ronald could not get ahold of Misty that night after calling 20 times one would have thought he would have called his Grandmother to go over to check on the kids if he couldn’t have gotten off hisself, Then when he did get off he would have went right home not stopping for nothing to have seen for his self every thing was alright. And jump in the middle of her shit for not answering his calls. She should have told him I am not fussing with you no more tonight I am tired and I am going to bed now so please do not call back I’ll talk to you in the morning. Good Night! But instead she went about it all wrong. But I guess when a girl is doing something she isn’t suppose to be then turning the cell phone off is the best thing to do. Thats what my 17 year old does anyway. It is all about Them!! and what they Want it doesn’t matter who they hurt or who they have to go threw to get what they want as long as they get what ever it may be they are wanting. Teenagers now days are masters at playing the game of deicete. I know this game well fore I have one of these 17 year olds. I am sorry to say..Love Her but she is a mess and has dealt alot of greif. Just Thank God she isn’t on no drugs like so many. Misty is smart so people just because she 17 don’t let that fool you, they are smarter then you think they are. They are Masters!! Yes they are young,innocentlooking, you may think not so smart, well that’s where you just screwed up. Because they use all that agaisnt us and they will win. That sweat innocent voice, innocent face with tears running down the cheeks and those sweat little puppy dog eyes looking at you making you think Oh this child could not have done this or that and all the time she is laughing her ass off at you on the inside.
