September 28, 2009
Last Wednesday (09/23/09) an unidentified woman stopped at the offices of the St. Augustine Record and dropped off a letter containing a tip as to the whereabouts of missing Haleigh Cummings. Detectives determined that the information in the letter needed further clarification, and Friday the video of the woman arriving at the St. Augustine Record was distributed to the media. The woman learned that the Sheriff’s Office’s needed to talk to her, and came to the Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon.
The letter contained information about a possible burial site for Haleigh Cummings, the six year old girl reported missing from Satsuma, Florida. Detectives thoroughly followed up on the information provided, but the tip did not lead to Haleigh. This tip, as have the other more than 4,000 received in this case, has thus far not led to the recovery of Haleigh.
The woman who delivered the tip informed detectives that she was a messenger delivering the information for someone else. Her name, as well as the location of the burial site, is not being released.

I think someone took Haliegh right under Misty nose, because she was crashing from her 3 day run, the little boy said a man dressed in black, prob. someone who Shady Ron owed money to, Ron is plety shady and the only reason he has custody of these kids is because he is smart enough and bully enough to find really insecure “girls” like Crystal who was 14 when she met him, and look how broken she seems! Then this Amber who has this other child that he owes child support for, better really watch that child because he may turn up missing too! Why arent’ they really tearing this Ronald apart?? He seems just as shady as Misty! I think she was out like a light and somebody came right in and took that little girl right from under he nose and maybe it was her own brother!!

If this is the case and the information contained in the letter was in fact a BUST, then would criminal charges be made against the person for offering false information in an on going missing persons case.

At what point does law enforcement become a liability ?
What I mean is…..this little girl has been missing almost 8 months, and local LE knows the babysitter / stepmom to be lying about all aspects of the investigation. Yet they haven’t made an arrest, and they haven’t found this little girl. Having said that, is it better to have a bounty hunter, P.I., mercenary or even media outlets pursuing leads in this case.

Even small stuff has the basis in probable cause a crime was committed: Tommy Croslin and witnesses regarding Marv Martin’s gun; Lisa Croslin and one of Marv’s checks that she allegedly cashed for $400…Evidence, evidence…The prosecutor has to have a comfort level…who wants to try a losing case? What does the Haleigh mystery messenger and Websleuths.com have in common? Alot!
Apparently the woman in question is rumored to be a formaer moderator at the popular crime dicussion site Websleuths. At that site she used the screen name Windchime. It was Discovered Feb 26 09, that this person was a convicted child sex offender. She had been convicted in 1992 before RSO laws were enacted. She was convicted of 2 of 4 counts of Lewd and Lacivious acts on a child under 16. Two children accused her of having sex on a diningroom table in thier presence as well as exposing her pubis to be photographed by her husband in thier presence. The charges state that this occured between 1980 and 1991. I’ll infere from this info that the offenses were ongoing rather than a one-time occurance. Here is a link to the documents on her case.

Now that you know who Windchime is, let me also say that Patricia (Trisha) Griffith, owner of Websleuths has been extremely nervous about this person’s identity and her association to the website comming to light. Since the video of Windchime was made public there has been a gag order sent down from Tricia that NO ONE can even mention the “blue scrubs” lady. PERIOD! Any mention immediatly is followed by threats; banning, closure of thread(s), closure of forum. When Windchimes crimes were exposed there was a total ban on speaking about it on her forum as well. Members requested at least a private thread for them to work through thier issues of betrayal, violation of trust and privacy, due to Windchimes access to IP addresses and personal information, as well as anger that the website administrators had not checked into this persons background before giving her such access. Tricia refused to give them any opportunity to do so. She insisted it was not
relevant to the forum, was a closed case and she didn’t feel she had any obligation to offer them assistance. Many long time members were reported to have left soon after.Others were banned for asking a question or complaints. What members complain about most is that Windchime’s sister was allowed to post in her defense. She stated that the charges were bogus and that the children had lied. Members were outraged that they were refused even 1 thread to dicuss the event yet the sister could post such drivel.
Others complain that once banned, they are still considered members and are still being used toward the websites total membership numbers thereby adding to Tricia’s monetary gain off the site.
What I wonder is this: Did Tricia contact the authorities once she realized who this person was or may be? Perhaps she kept quiet in order to protect herself and her website. One would think that since she is the administrator of a very popular crime sleuthing site that she would feel obligated to tell all she knows, not hide it away through threats. It is rumored that Windchime is still a member at Websleuths and has just been given another screenname. If it is true, then Tricia sanctioned it herself. What exactly is she trying to hide?

Every time HaLeigh’s remains are not found I breathe a sigh of relief. Yet, relief is not joy and uneasiness lingers. I felt the same way when the dogs hit on the dumpster. No dead HaLeigh, but no living HaLeigh either.

Great work as always. If Haleigh is no longer with us (which I still pray is not the case ), her body could have been moved at some point during these months from a pond to anywhere.
I am not from that area so I don’t know much about that pond but I have heard a lot of talk about alligators being around. If that were the case, why would parties be held near it ? Also, LE did not mention encountering any during the search and the pumping out of this pond. Someone would have to be very bold to go there if these reptiles were around. I believe that if that were the original spot a number of people could have come to move it, if they did not have to worry about encountering a reptile.
It is coming up on 8 months and I hope we can bring Haleigh home.

I am so thankful that the media is showing intrest in this little girl again! For a while she was out of the picture, not even spoken of. It brings great joy to know that she is going to be found and jutice will be served!

Amber was arrested on 08/15/09 on a Failure To Appear warrant and is currently in Putnam County jail.
I’ve always thought Amber and her mother Lisa Brooks need to be looked at a little closer. jmo
Lisa Ann Brooks has a warrant for robbery and is currently out of state, leaving Palatka shortly after HaLeigh disappeared. It’s believed she is in Wise, VA.

Wonder why Misty C. is staying in Orlando for so long? Her mother is in jail on $100,000 bond. (Which possibly has been reduced to #10,000) This case, like Casey Anthonys is getting more and more bogged down. I will NEVER understand why Ron married Misty! His poor Mother was on Nancy Grace tonight, and her heartbreak is so real, so very sad. My prayers are with her. Misty, like Nay Nay, are victims of their enviorment. Drugs are a BIG part of their lives, and sadly, they will rasie their children in the same manner. I can’t imagine little Haleigh being alive, but if she is, I pray that she is safe and secure. I still believe in miracles.

Misty could possibly met more of “her kind” in Orlando, and has decided she wants to stay there. Who knows, she may decide to divorce Ron and stay away from all the questions, and accusations she is facing in Satsuma. She could also take off with another man. You never know with people like her. Anything’s possible.

I was hoping that something, anything would turn out from the tips but so far Nothing. It makes one wonder why would this tips suddenly surface 7 almost 8 months later after Haleigh went missing. Sounds like someone is trying to side track LE and has lead them on a wild goose chase. Misty taking a vacation in the midst of an ongoing investigation, which involves “the girl(Haleigh) that she claims to love so much.” Misty withholding information from LE.
In other parts of the world to withhold information regarding a criminal investigation is known as OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, I guess that term doesn’t apply to Patnum County, Florida. Other’s would be arrested in such situations just based on the fact that the children were underage to care for themselves, and under the care of someone who was not able to respond to their needs.
If LE wanted to arrest Misty believe you me they have enough to charge her with Obstruction of justice, child neglect leading to child endangerment, etc., However, the problem is that they can not hold her forever so she would be released within a matter of time (depending on the donations received by Haleigh missing)because the Cummings and Croslin families don’t work.
LE enough is enough the public is becoming frustrated and annoyed by the mishandling of this case. Not even does the 17 year old Misty take you guys serious, she selects who she wants to interview her, and walks out on those that she doesn’t. After all this is Ronald’s and Crystal’s child that is missing and it seems as if they gave up searching for Haleigh 7 months ago.
LE stick to your word and do something about it “Misty is the key to this investigation.”

This is nuts. There is a reward and you would think by now that if there was a party and something happened to Haleighy that somebody would of said something by now…….especially since nobody works or has any money. I guess if that story was true the only reason they might not talk is maybe they were all involved and are too scared to say any thing because they know they could be in trouble.
I have often wondered if she left that door opan and went out and planned to be home before Ron, but when she got there Haleigh was already gone.
Misty eyes just don’t seem right and she dosen’t seen to look at people right in the eye. Now she is on the run…….something is funny about that. Why is she not comming back if she “loved that little girl” Most Mom’s or step Mom’s don’t take off when the child is missing. Very strange imo/ JMO

Has Law Enforcement ever asked Misty at what point, if any, did she actually make it to the bathroom? Since she had to go bad enough that it “woke her up”, and she said befor she made it to the bathroom she noticed the kitchen light on, then checked on Heleigh, don’t remember her saying she checked on Jr. Then Ron arrived home, just at that moment, then the call to 911…. We all know she did not get up to go to the bathroom Just another lie on her part I guess.

Misty has been MIA for over a week now and the whole truth about what she knows hasn’t come out. Since she isn’t being forth-coming and she was the last person to see little Haleigh alive, can’t they pick her up and hold her on a material witness warrent? Having her just running around and her timely disappearance makes me worried that the closer they get to finding Haleigh the harder Misty will be to locate. Am I off base?

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Haleigh. Hands on her face with a squished up nose.
In a weird way, I’m almost comforted by the theory of her dying from an overdose as opposed to being taken by strangers, raped & tortured.
It seems like there were several stories over the summer about children being left in cars that perished from the heat. I’d think that to be a truly horrific death as well.
There’s going to be a lot of blame to go around in this case and those involved need to step up, do right by her & get it over with…get her home. As long as she’s lost, people will never stop looking. If Haleigh doesn’t have peace, neither will you.
Do you tell yourselves at night that you’d trade places with her if you could? Do you mean it? Then prove it, don’t wait for the police to come dragging you out by your hair. Look at that little squishy face & do right by her.
Go do your time (it’s not like the movies…it’s lonely but not as scary as the police would have you believe. Most inmates there are trying to do their own time & go home, their main objective is NOT physically attacking every new person that walks through the door).
Read as many books as you can get hold of, get an education & make peace with Haleigh & yourself.
It only takes one bad decision, 5 minutes to change your life and send it spiraling out of control. People will understand & some will forgive but letting a family continue to worry & leaving her little body out in the woods makes it worse every second of every day.
There really is no other choice. Nobody is going to give up on finding her….EVER.

The letter and the tipster in my oponion are bogus, as has been proven by the letter itself. Cases such as this will always bring out the nuts who get a charge out of cases such as this. A shame that LE has to waste their valuable time in perusing these ricidolous leads. As far as Nay Nay’s letter, that one leaves much to the imagination. I know this will sound really crazy, but any chance that it was “suggested” by LE that the letter be written in the hopes that it would scare Misty enough so that she would tell what she knows, and or to help flush out the person or persons who took Haleigh? Considering the insanity of this case it would seem that it could be a possiblity.

I just have a feeling that this investigation is going to break around the first week in October. The police have a piece or two missing from the puzzle, but are close to solving this case. The key players in this investigation are not smarter than the detectives working on this case. As my grandpa used to say ” just gotta get the chickens to come home and roost.” My grandpa was a wise man.

This little girl always looks so full of life & animation, like a little ham. What an adorable kid & from the pics she seems to have a delightful personality. This whole thing is infuriating! I wouldn’t let a 17 year old who dropped out of school in the 6th grade and has no direction in life (except toward the next blunt) be solely responsible for my child. I know that these people are struggling financially/ educationally, etc. but you’ve gotta have standards when it comes to your children’s welfare. This seems to be a tragic lesson in what happens when you entrust a defenseless child to a spiteful, angry, rebellious and dim- witted teenager. There’s something wrong with this whole situation- this misty chick was known to be irresponsible and unreliable and an 8 year age difference when one is a teen is a real red flag that ron has a problem relating to women his own age & seems to have potential to be violent & abusive (older chicks tend to be less tolerant of that). He showed that he was verbally abusive right in that 911 call, so if that’s how they lived & he’s got all this upper hand because of his age/ finances, etc. then she may have been full of spite and rage & trying to get back at him. We know she was rebelling against his control from the previous weekend, so this sounds like a domestic violence situation. How could he leave his child with someone who has such crappy judgment??? what does that say about his judgment??? I know they’re suffering, but, just sayin. Sounds like they’re learning the hard way how messed up they are. I’m a firm believer that you’ve gotta have your shite together before you start having kids. I really hope Haleigh is in good hands but my instincts tell me this misty chick prolly pulled a casey anthony. Also-If the little brother went to a party, wouldn’t he have some recollection of the last time he saw his sister? There should be a law that any profit to come from intra family violence (from books,tv shows/ documentaries) does NOT go to the surviving family- who caused the situation but rather to the taxpayers who pay for these futile searches when the killer already knows what happened! jmo

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if LE had someone interview Haleigh’s brother, or if he is in therapy and has revealed anything. That we have no heard anything about him since back in the beginning makes NO sense to me. He knows his sister is missing. He has to be scared and it has to bother him. Therefore, he is talking about it to someone. He could be the BREAK in the case. Especially if Misty took them somewhere that night. (But that would only be known if they interviewed him early on, the likihood of him remembering that specific night now would be unreliable.)

Well been watching this case since day 1 and will be so glad when the truth comes out about Haleigh. How could Ronald marry that girl after Haleigh goes missing and the whole Teresa Nevis standing behind Misty and letting her stay in her home its crazy and i agree Ronald needs to be looked at closer. his crimanal record and all the charges with drugs that were always DROPPED. If the media would go away, Haleigh would be found..Ronald and his mother loves the attention. To go a month without their fake tears on camera would not make them happy campers. I heard Theresa tell NG “they are a dysfunctional family”…Who was she talking about? Misty’s I assume..Has she looked in the mirror lately? Her family is just as messed up..I truly believe if there were no media attention someone would rat out the perp/perps…In the drug world there are “secrets”, and some may fear retaliation; however, the truth will prevail sooner or later..In this case later, sadly. If Misty is guilty, she did not act alone.. She is not that savvy. Ronald and his mother know what happened..Why are they not being hammered like Misty? NG treats Theresa and Ronald kindly, yet treats Haleigh’s mother like dirt..I can’t figure out why Jr is not living with his mother, where he should be..I have said from the beginning, Haleigh is buried in the woods surrounding the trailer (within a mile radius). I think she died accidently, the perps panicked and she was buried nearby..I also think she died before Ron went to work that afternoon.. After awhile the liars believe their own untruths, and their stories become the truth to them. I think it was a story that was concocted among Haleigh’s immediate family.. Another thing I don’t understand..If Misty’s mom is jailed partly to make her talk about the Haleigh case, which I don’t think she knows anymore than the media, why not look for something to arrest Ron’s mom and G’Ma to make them talk?

I’ve been doing some more thinking.
Misty obviously loved Haleigh & vice verse. I don’t have any doubts about that. Hanging out with this NayNay girl was her downfall. By all accounts Misty did a good job of taking care of the kids. There’s nothing sinister about her. She’s young & naive but meant well.
NayNay, on the other hand, is VERY manipulative. One minute she’s almost bragging about getting half the profits from a prostitute friend and the next she’s pretending to be an innocent tag-along. Holding onto this white boy greg guy (feigning intimidation of Mexicans) was nothing but a show for Misty. NayNay already talks & carries herself like a career criminal. She gets some sort of excitement from all this & that’s obvious from her video.
OMG…That whole video she (NayNay) does nothing more than lay groundwork & excuses for what she knows is coming. She’s been busy getting her alibi in order, trying to intimidate witnesses, implicating Ronald & even provides an excuse just in case they find something in her car.
She’s so obvious, it’s pathetic.
Can’t you see it? Geez…I can. I don’t know whether she convinced Misty that it would be safe to give Haleigh a drug to sleep or she did it herself but she’s ultimately to blame for all this mess.
When they realized Haleigh had been OD’d, Misty on her own probably would have called for an ambulance if not for NayNay.
White Boy Greg talks (on tape) about his first encounter with NayNay…do you remember? He said it was a hit & run. He states how he couldn’t believe how NayNay had gotten away with it.
NayNay, the manipulator took Misty in her state of grief & shock and convinced her she only had one choice. She paints herself to look like a hero and orchestrates the cover up.
Who else is she working? She’s trying to pull strings even now from jail. I’m sure she has everybody convinced they’ll be in trouble if they come forward when all the while it’s HER own ass she’s protecting.
Time’s ticking. If they find Haleigh before Misty talks, Misty’s going to end up taking the fall alone. Ol sneaky snake NayNay will just slither her way on out of there. Too bad really. I feel kind of sorry for Misty. In a way, she’s really a victim too.
Sometimes, I think part of Ronald wants Misty to confess & the other part wants her to continue to lie. It keeps hope alive for them. Watching Ronald’s mom talk tonight on Nancy Grace gives me the impression they still care about Misty, they just don’t know what to do.

Art, I’m wondering why you told untruths to NG about RC and MC? MC leaving RC because of a fight and cops don’t know where she is? I’m asking with due respect of the awards you have earned. Last night Nancy Grace reported that Misty is back in town and refusing to talk to LE. She made it sound like she had disappeared and all the sudden the cops now know where she is. You reported earlier that LE said they knew where she was and who she was with. So which is it?

C–LE has their sources, too, but did not know exactly where she was all the time, I’m told. She was not charged or wanted for anything so they had no legal reason to put a tail on her, and were dependent on tips from those who did know her whereabouts at different times. Hope that helps. Art

Everyone needs to stop and take a breath! I believe that LE is close. The net is getting tight around all those involved. I pray that those who loved this little girl will soon have the answers even though it may be a long time before they are able to find peace.

Art, if anybody left a headless rat in a mailbox, it’s NayNay. If she didn’t do it herself, she instructed somebody else to.
Both the letters she wrote ask Donnie (Donevan Spells) to go “talk to” his friend Joe (who signed the sworn affidavit saying Haleigh OD’d in Misty & NayNay’s care) and she threatens to slap Joe when she sees him.
I never watched Nancy Grace before the Haleigh case because I find her abrasive but I can see where that particular trait might be very useful if she conducted one of her little interviews with NayNay Prevatt.
According to her letter, NayNay gets out the middle of October. It’d be nice to see a whole lot of pressure applied to her & her other drug buddies.
If none of these people have a moment of peace, they can’t score any drugs and their friends won’t want them around. Obviously it would be beneficial to all involved for this case to be over with so they can get back to their regularly scheduled party routine.
“If your quarry goes to ground…leave no ground to go to” – that kind of thing.

This is just an offhand question/observation, but:
Surely NayNay heard that Ron’s daughter was missing & her friend Misty was responsible for sitting…did she rush over to help look? I’m late on this case, but to my knowledge she just went to Donnie’s house & laid low for a week. Has anybody approached her about that? Do you know?
I haven’t seen Joe Pytko in about 15 years. He’s obviously gotten in a lot of trouble since then but prescription drugs are way out of hand in all these little local Florida counties. He’s not the first friend around here lost to pharmaceuticals.
I realize that drug use can change a person. At first, it’ll be small lies, then the lies get bigger and soon they’re stealing to support their habit, but there are certain personal characteristics that don’t change.
Joe Pytko was never one to manufacture drama & he’s not the type to engage in gossip for fun. I believe that he WOULD give a child priority over protecting his drug use and I believe that he DID sign an affidavit for which I’m proud of him.
From the looks of things, Joe’s friend Donnie Spells is in a horrible position right now. His baby’s mother (NayNay)is out of control and now she’s gone & went too far. She’s trying to use him to clean things up for her.
Too late to change how things went down, it appears that Spells has reached a crossroads. Giving NayNay’s letter up may have been a big step for him.
I have a feeling that he wants to come forward. He knows more than he’s telling and I think that it’s enough to end this. This isn’t going to blow over or go away and covering for NayNay isn’t going to help anybody…even NayNay. NayNay needs an extended vacation in a correctional facility. She needs to quit playing wanna-be gangster chick and grow up.

HEY THIS CALLI FARRIS. I HAVE WROTE A LETTER BEFORE ABOUT A VISION THAT MY GRANDMA HAD, AND SHE WAS SO UPSET ABOUT THIS.
THAT WHEN SHE WENT TO BED SHE ASKED GOD ABOVE THAT WHAT HAPPEN TO THE BABY CUMMINGS, AND WHEN SHE DID GOD ANSWERD HER AND SHOWED HER THAT THERE WERE 3 PEOPLE, 1 WOMEN AND 2 MEN STANDING SIDE BY SIDE AROUND A HOLE IN THE GROUND, ATTAINING WATER, AND SHE TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THIS MEANT FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS.. EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES SHE COULD SEE THIS VISION THINKING IT COULD HAVE BEEN A SEPTIC TANK, AND NOW ON 10-3-09 SHE WAS WOKED UP BY THE NEWS THAT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT GOT A TIP ABOUT A WELL THAT THE BABY’S BODY WAS PUT INTO IT. NOW WE KNOW THAT MISTY CUMMINGS KNOWS EXCALTY WHERE THAT BABY IS!!!! AND NOW WE KNOW THAT GOD DOESNT LIE AND I KNOW TOO. WE DO BELIVE IN SPIRTUAL VISIONS… THANKS SO MUCH! P.S.
