Exclusive: Misty Cummings’ Brother, Tommy, Jailed!! Investigators Win Whopping $50,000 Bond; Haleigh Squeeze Play?

Hank “Tommy” Croslin, Jr., 23, the baby-faced brother of Misty Croslin Cummings who reported her then boyfriend, now husband’s five year old daughter missing last February, was booked into the Putnam County Jail Tuesday at 6:49 p.m. on felony theft charges for allegedly stealing a gun from a family friend, sources tell The Bald Truth.
Bond was set at a whopping $50,000, a signal, sources close to the case exclusively tell The Bald Truth, that investigators are turning up the heat in the nearly eight month old investigation of missing five year old Haleigh Cummings, setting in motion what some hope could be a break in the case. When Croslin showed up for his “first appearance” before a judge Wednesday in Palatka, there was no bond reduction, and it’s unclear if he will hire a lawyer or have one appointed.
“The pressure has begun,” a trusted source close to the case tells me in an exclusive interview.

Indeed, the Croslin clan are a family divided by the unsolved mystery. Misty’s parents, Hank, Sr., and mother, Lisa, last week, in effect, called their daughter a liar, accusing her of holding back information. Her father said he believes she may have left the trailer that night to party, and Tommy’s wife, has declared the family has been “distancing” themselves from her.
But Misty’s lawyer, Robert Fields, says Misty is the one who says she’s been “distancing” herself from her dysfunctional family.
In an exclusive interview with me Tuesday night, he related that his client was surprised to learn Tommy had been arrested, had no idea why, and little reaction. Even though she’s failed a private polygraph arranged by Tim Miller’s Texas Equusearch that Fields puts no stock in, Misty maintains she had nothing to do with whatever happened to Haleigh and doesn’t know who did.
But her new revelation during one of the “truth” tests arranged by Miller– that she remembered a vague dream involving four shadowy people the night Haleigh vanished triggered mild excitement among the Haleigh task force. They “hadn’t heard that before,” one source close to the case confided.
Her brother, Hank, Jr. (Tommy) is expected to make his first appearance before 7th Circuit Judge Terry LaRue early Wednesday morning; we don’t know if he has an attorney who could request a bond reduction. My sources tell me it was Judge LaRue who signed the arrest warrant and has discretion on setting bond amounts, and agreed to the sky high bond was appropriate in Croslin’s case.
According to police reports, Croslin and his mother rang the door bell of a former neighbor at 4 a.m. the 18th or 19th of August, when 76 year old Marvin Martin, retired and legally blind, and asked to use the phone. Marvin looked through the peephole and recognized them, so opened the door, he told me in an exclusive interview Wednesday.
. While Lisa phoned relatives, and asked for a call back, Tommy disappeared to use the bathroom, Marvin later told police. The next day, he woke up to take his medication, and spied a drawer cracked an inch—the same drawer he kept a valuable family heirloom—a 1905 Colt .38 Special with a 6 inch barrel and walnut handle. It was gone. Since Tommy and his mother were the only ones to visit, and he saw Tommy in his back bedroom, he told me, he figured he had a suspect.
Since the family had dropped by before to call relatives and await a callback – their phones had been shut off, and they were quick to drop by to ‘borrow” sugar, milk, toilet paper, you name it—he had the number for Chelsea Croslin in Massachussetts, where Misty’s other brother recently moved to start a new life with their new baby.
Martin called Chelsea and delivered a warning for Tommy—if the gun weren’t returned, he was going to press charges.
Within two hours, he told me, Hank, Sr. and Lisa were at the door and handed him the gun. “Tommy stole it,” his father said, mumbling “something about pills and dope,” said Martin.
When he started hearing rumors he might be targeted for payback by anonymous people, he filed a police report. Putnam County Sheriff’s Detective Ken Taylor took it all down and took the gun in as evidence. Martin was filing a criminal complaint in the hopes it would take Croslin out of circulation for a while, he said, and keep him away. Home alone, he now has a Remington 12 guage to protect himself.
He told me on one occasion, Misty waited in his living room while her mother used the phone. “This was right after she started living with Ronald and she just blurted out, ‘I’m damn tired of taking care of someone else’s kids.’” Martin told me. “I thought that was an odd thing to say. Then she said, as she was leaving, ‘Will you pray for me?’ I said I don’t much go to church. I don’t know why she said that.”
When Taylor stopped by to take the criminal complaint Sept. 12, his next stop was Hank and Lisa Croslin, according to his report obtained by The Bald Truth, but they weren’t home. Gone to Tennessee to live with family there, he was told.
When I called their relatives Wednesday, Lisa’s mother, Flora Hollars, (“Dollar with with an H instead of a D and an S at the end”) 66, said Hank told her he was moving to Nashville because he was looking for work and there were no jobs in Satsuma.
Flora told me Misty had lived with her as a young girl, when she was about 12, and had a terrible time in school “because her parents never made her go. She hated school, but I made her go. She only missed one day in four months, but she’d sit in the living room at the table and get so upset when she had to do homework. She’d say, ‘Nanny, I don’t know how to do this!’ So I’d say, ‘I may not be much help, Misty, but let me try.’”
Nearby, Lisa’s sister, Tina, was upset when two officers showed up to reinterview her son, Joe Overstreet, the cousin who had been visiting Satuma when Haleigh turned up missing, but had been ruled out earlier by the task force. I asked if he could come to the phone, but she said he was sleeping, up all night getting grilled. Police are not calling him a suspect, or a person of interest.
For the moment, their focus is on Joe’s cousin, Tommy. But I’m told investigators are not pleased with the dearth of information Tommy is offering, and I figure they won’t mind if he sweats it out for a few days in an orange Putnam County jail jumpsuit and thinks about the “consequences” of holding back what he may know about Misty and others, sources tell me.
Croslin can expect another visit from investigators soon. “Tommy is playing Russian roulette,” one source close to the case confided. “I think we’re gonna see some fireworks.”
If the strategy is divide, conquer and squeeze, it just might be working.
It was Tommy, you may recall, who found a decapitated rat in his mailbox last month, and filed a complaint alleging Cummings had threatened him.. He told officers he believed Ronald planted the rat to send him a message.
Tommy, Misty’s mother and father, you may recall, wound up at the trailer of Annette Sikes, Cummings’ grandmother who has been housing the couple and Haleigh’s brother, Junior, and got into a fistfight with Ronald the other night, claiming Misty had called them to rescue her. She denied it, but Tommy filed battery charges against Cummings, who was arrested and spent a night in jail before making the $12,500 bond. Shortly after that, Tommy, aka Hank Jr. discovered the headless rat in his mailbox and fingered his brother in law, Ronald.
Ronald Cummings denied any ties to “Ratgate,” and claimed he was partying, with Misty as a witness.
But Tim Miller, director of Equusearch, the non profit search outfit dedicated to finding the missing who arranged the polygraph, hypnosis and a voice stress test for Misty, tells me in an exclusive interview that Ronald admitted he planted the rat –with Misty — as his own test of truth, as bizarre as it may sound.
The reason? “He said he wanted to see how good Misty could lie to the police so he could tell how good she was lying to him,” Miller told The Bald Truth. Another well respected attorney confirmed he heard Cummings relate the same story.
Neither Ronald, his mother, nor his lawyer, Terry Shoemaker, could be reached for comment.

As far as the night of the rat, there were several witnesses (besides Misty) that were with Ron that evening, I believe. You should look into whether they filed statements.

I’m aware of Ron’s alibi, J, and also the Tommy neighbor who reported a truck like Ron’s slowing to put something in the box. Yuo remember her. Look, I’m just reporting what Tim Miller and another highly regarded told me Ron told them. It’s new information, and suggests the public Ron and the private Ron are expressing different views, no? Thanks for the updates. Isn’t it just so amazing how Ron just happened to be partying with Misty during ratgate. How convient, with Misty, and partying? It is amazing how they just dig a hole with every new passing day. Seems some want you to believe his is depressed over all of this and just sitting holed up in house yet he was partying the day something like this happens? Wow, is all I got for that bull.
Wonder who says Tommy stole their belongings? Why is it every story that comes from this family is about drugs, guns, stolen property, parties, fights, arrests but yet no Haleigh? Shameful

Mr.Harris I was not refering to the rat incident. In fact I pay no attention that nonsense. I was refering to whom picked up Haleigh and that you could of verified it with the Sheriff as easily as you spoke with this woman who allegedly seen other accounts. You could post both sides and periodically you do but with a bias perspective. If you are unable to take that then don’t dish it out. My point is in my opinion your reporting is bias, slandering, and heavily founded in mere gossip. Back to Haleigh, now that the Police are focusing on everyone in the family they may get results. What astounds me is with the list of suspects the main focus has been Misty which I find rediculous. Mr. Harris I’ll be quite frank with you. I have found your coverage to lack fairness. Firstly this memory thing, I am 42 & until there was a better understanding of why the brain develops the way it does I just thought I had memory damage from other afflictions I endured. This did not cause me any issue in my life as I do not go through high stress events with emotional attachment that often. However in 2004 when my brother was killed I quickly learned that issue still exists. It was not until later in life I learned that memory is dramatically affected when one endures abuse and continual stress during development. Yet no one has dove into researching that from a perspective of why Misty may remember things in the way which she does. There has been no coverage as to the make up of a sister and the youngest at that who grows up being abused by her brothers. I truly believe the reason this case has not been solved is simply due to a lack of understanding this type of family. I think the polygrapher was decided before hand & thus dramatically affected the results, I guess what I am saying is he dooped both Misty and Mr.Miller I believe Misty is a victim and needs to stop being victimized especially when the population and media is doing it to her, convicting her prior to trial based on gossip. I have found the responses on this board hold some imaginary scale a survivor is suppose to meet other wise something is wrong. I have found talk like trailer trash, white trash, calling human life scum, exaggerations and even who has slept with whom ate up like it’s buckets of blood at a vampire meeting. I am in another country & have had some even accuse me of being present in the home, I have not even been to Florida once in my life. This just hit me…. Didn’t the order of protection state that Tommy was suppose to surrender his guns… right ??? Very, very interesting the arrest is for a firearm.. What is this with all the guns around this case? Didn’t a cousin of Misty’s supposedly steal a gun of Ron’s that was later found in a ditch? Now another relative of Misty’s supposedly stole a gun? This is just plain weird to me!
What kind of conditions must be met to support a $50,000 bond? Did he shoot someone or threaten to bodily harm someone? That is alot of money.

As the events have unfolded over the last weeks, there is not a doubt in my mind that every single one of them know things that they are not telling law enforcement, and they aren’t going to anytime soon.
I feel so bad for Jr. and hope that the State of Florida makes the right decision SOON to remove him from this situation and get him to safety.
If not, in about 15 years it’ll be Jr.’s mugshot we will see.

I hope and pray they get the info they need!! You are right Art. Ronald says things in private and then totally contradicts himself in public. I believe he felt what he said in private would not go public. He has two faces. This is why I feel he knows something!!! I have always felt that the ratgate incident was a threat. It had to be more than just their altercation. It was the statement that Hank Jr. made to the media that ” he wanted to make sure Ronald pays for what he has done” that got me to thinking. It was after the statement he made; the rat appeared in his mail box. I really thought then this has to be more than just a family brawl!!
After it came out (exclusively on The Bald Truth) that Ron confided in Tim Miller he in fact put that decapitated rat in Hank Jrs’ mailbox to see how well Misty could lie to police, then he would know how well she could lie to him, made me pure sick!! It takes a sick human being to decapitate a rodent!! This confirmed to me that Ron is one mentally disturbed individual!! He thrives on intimidating and manipulating others in order to keep them quiet!!
I wish they could find a good reason to arrest Misty and hold her for a few days and make her sweat. The question on the voice stress test ” what did Ronald Cummings have to do with Haleighs disappearance?” came up not sure in Mistys answer. Ronald had already been cleared proir to Mistys series of test I believe. HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

I would like to remind you that the “victim” here is Haleigh Ann-Marie Cummings. May I also remind you that Misty was the care taker of this precious little girl and the last person known to have seen her. She has also lied on numerous occasions as to the events that took place that fatefull night. I don’t believe for one minute that the polygrapher dooped (as you put it) Misty or Tim Miller. The people who administered the Poly and Voice Analysis tests on Misty were professionals in their prospective fields. I believe Misty is lieing and knows what happened to Haleigh. If she truely doesn’t know what happened, she would have passed the tests. I base my opinion on the evidence at hand. Is there any evidence at all that states she is telling the truth? Her own Mother, Father, sister-in-law but most telling is her husband don’t believe her. These are all facts. Yes she may have been abused but do we actually know that for a fact? The only one saying so is Misty herself. She’ll point the finger at anyone but herself and tell what ever lie she needs to, to keep herself out of prison(something a lot of folks would do). While I don’t think she acted alone, I do feel she is the responsible person. Haleigh was left in her care. I also blame Ronald for leaving his daughter in the hands of a drug dazed, self centered, unstable child. Both Mr. and Mrs. Cummings are responsible for what ever happened to the only VICTIM here, HALEIGH ANN-MARIE CUMMINGS.

Still I wonder why Misty couldn’t be charged with, Child abuse for hitting, child endangerment, child neglect, minor in possession of drugs, underage alcohol use, illegal drug use, something. What’s up with no charges? I don’t understand.

Jack-believe he had the truck with the slogan, only god can judge me, that replaced his last slogan, “gravedigger.” haleigh’s last morning, monday, parents tell me he was driving a red or burgundy nissan car that belongs to Mrs. Sykes, I believe. Windows tinted dark, so hard to see who was inside. had to be haleigh, and misty if in fact she walked haleigh to class like she said, unless she’s thinking she did that on another day.

I bet Tommy stole Ron’s gun and him and Lisa said that Joe must of have done it. Joe was not staying with Tommy so why would it be hidden in Tommy’s ditch?
I still don’t get the 50,000 bond though.Another man was arrested with the same charge as Tommy’s along with a few others and his bond was 26,000. The grand larceny charge only garnered a 1000 dollar bond.
The high bond makes no sense.

As much as I don’t think Ron had anything to do with it, I keep going back to the video of Ron crying with his mother on his knees, so strange, he clearly says Haleigh jumped off the bus and into his arms and pretty convincingly when we know for sure by witnesses that Misty picked her up, why lie about that ? Especially so early in the investigation, not that it’s that important but just seems weird. Definately knows something.

It is very sad that JR has to be raised by this trashy and dysfunctonal group. It seems that it may be time for the Fla. authorities ( child welfare) to take another look at this case and get that kid out of there and back with his Mother. The longer he stays there,the less chance he will have for living a decent life. As long as he is surrounded by this group of dysfunctional, drug using, gun toting loosers the better the chance that he will turn out just like them.

Your article states Ronald was partying with Misty the night the rat was placed in the mailbox. Dear GOD, how could someone “PARTY” while their 5-year-old child is missing. This whole group and their very existence is all too sordid for me. I hope the little girl is found alive and well and when she is found…PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT PUT HER BACK WITH THESE PEOPLE. Casey Anthony was initially charged with child neglect and lying to law enforcement and bond was set at $500,000. Later charge for the financial crime bond was increased by $3K.
So, I think they could at least charge Misty with those. Not the financial part, but terroristic threat if she was involved with the rat episode.

That is a pretty high bond for a stolen gun that, according to some news reports had already been returned. Is this for real? Is Tommy perhaps being held for his own protection?
Oh, and great job on the appearance on NG’s show tonight!! Did you hear Ron’s reaction to Nancy’s question about why Misty wouldn’t do another hypnosis? He said he didn’t think it was necessary. Imagine that!!

Thanks Art, for reporting this last episode of this awful crime….There has been a crime committed here…..Art,,theycallmej says, she doesnt appreciate the name calling,,well I call it the way I see it, and so does everyone else..The Cummings and the Croslins are trashy people, into drugs and when I last visited the Tommy and Timmy and Misty’s myspace the marijuana filled their entire page…All they could talk about was weed…..theycallmej,,,,do you condone parents druging and drinking, everyday while raising little children.,,,, everyone who had a hand in little Haleigh going missing and the day to day life in front of a 4 year old little boy named JR..There is NO polite way to put it and thats whats wrong with this country today is that people like you want everything sugar coated and politically correct…..The murder of a little precious girl and the pure evil nasty lowdown actions of parents in front of their children, one missing (because of them) and one currently having to live in it, is downright shameful….like someone else said, if Jr is not removed from that enviroment, his mug shot will be pasted on the front page of the local paper in about 12 years….

This family is really really screwed up. I think they are all liars. I have seen Ron on Nancy Grace the past few nights and something is really off with him. I don’t believe for one second that Ron believes Misty’s stories-but why the pretense? I hope this mystery is solved soon and I pray Haleigh is still alive. But like Nancy Grace said the other night, I wonder if this little girl ever had a chance.

Hi Art- this is a statement directly from the above story:

Art please clarify:
Tommy gets arrested for an unrelated charge that has nothing to do with Haleigh missing. Yet investigator’s are using this tactic as a way to get information from him regarding what Misty may know? This doesn’t make sense, it’s obvious that both sides of this families have drug, guns, dysfunctional families, etc., etc. Why doesn’t LE arrest Misty and have her sweat it out at the jail. They have enough to charge her with obstruction of justice, child endangerment, Providing False information, and I’m sure they have a list of other things that can be added into their charges.
Oh and it would suprise me if Tommy were able to aford his bond or hire a private attorney. How do these people pay for their attorneys? As far as I hear all are unemployed, Tommy, Ronald, Misty, etc., etc., Attorney fees are very expensive.
It’s amazing how guns are utilized in the US so out-of-control, however, I find it hard to believe that a “legally blind” person would be allowed to own one. My son is 23 years old he is blind and as far as I know he is not allowed to own weapons, or drive.

Hello Art,
You were really great last night on Nancy Grace. You stressed the urgency for Ron and Misty to sit down and have a heart to heart. I felt it will be soon! I know there are things you may know, but cannot write until the appropiate time. That is why I come here many times throughout the day and only blog here. My mom does not have a computer, she lives in Putnam County, I read your articles to her by phone whenever you have a new one or have added to one.
I believe Nancy did a wonderful job as well. I could not believe my ears when I heard him say, because he did not think it was necessary to have Misty try hypnosis again, but after the break Nancy asked the question I know I and probably many others wanted to know. Why not and doesn’t he want to get to the bottom of what happened to his daughter,Haleigh.
I pray that Haleigh will be able to thank you in person for being her voice from the time this case began and not allowing them to sweep her under the rug. If not; then I feel she will smile down on you from heaven that you helped bring her the JUSTICE she deserves.

I’m wondering how Tommy received phone calls from Misty; supposedly crying and to come get her, when none of the Croslin’s had a phone? Tommy didn’t have a cell phone because he had to go to Kangaroo Market and use the pay phone to call LE.
What was the real reason Tommy, Hank Sr. and Lisa went over to GGMS? Is Tommy and/or her parents afraid of something Misty knows and trying to get her to leave town with the family?

To Ann, no, its a separate issue of stolen weapon. But, it is interesting that when Ron’s weapon went amiss, he thought it was cousin Joe, and sent Misty to Tommy’s house to look for it.. Where it apparently was found in a ditch under a board. But, these also leads us to how many differnet stories about that gun???
And as far as arresting Misty.. First they have to be able to prove she has actually done any of these allegations.
that she was out, that she had drugs, that she was drinking, there is no evidence in hand to support any of these charges. If they had the evidence.. she would be in jail. One of the elements I think they are hiding with cover story.. The pickup of Haleigh at the bus, why.. Misty was driving without a drivers license and the whole group new that? So, it seems like Misty is protected even from traffic violations. Or why would they not be honest???
Knowing now they have gone back to Tenn and cousin Joe.. is great news.. Too many issues with Joe, that just don’t add up. and his interview in Feb. Hey, he claims he wasn’t anywhere near Florida, “when that little girl went missing”, although he was at Timmy’s house. He claimed he left Florida on the first of Feb.. So, we also know that cousin joe seems to do what cousin misty does.. Lie…

CENT: That was the spin she put on it when she spoke with investigators, mainly to CYA with Ron, but no evidence WBG forced himself on her at all, not with witnesses and party pals like Nay Nay along for the ride who witnessed the revenge romance. She and Ron had fought, remember, and she’d bolted. Nay Nay picked her up and they were off. Yes, witnesses in the ‘hood told me couple of white guys in a pickup were looking for WBG one night after that, but never found him. Greg was scared but laid low.

It is a shame that the arrest did not receive more coverage. With the high bail, it is obvious that law enforcement wants information. It was a good move.

you miss the point.
Misty failed a polygraph because she is witholding information that SHE RECALLS. If she had no memory (say she blacked out from alcohol or drugs) she would not have failed. This is the kind of case child protective services pull their hair out over.
Anyone that goes to the home soon recognizes that Misty is a victim of domestic violence. Two minutes with Ron and it is known. The same CPS worker will recognize that both are subtance abusers and that the children are in jeopardy.
Proving this is another issue.
Misty literally reveals her ARROGANCY when interviewed. Notice how she lifted her chin when she was bathed and cleaned up for the interview where she claimed Tim Miller lied to her?? (Lifting the chin: see the exaggerated motions of our President).
She called 911 and what did she say?
I just woke up.
My door was open.
our child was gone.
Look at the order. If your child was missing, you’d scream that and NOT give yourself an excuse of sleeping first. She was lying and LE knew it FROM THE CALL.
Her first interviews, she spoke of the child in the past tense. She knows the child is dead.
Harris has been on the money, while NG placates Ron in order to get him on the show. “I know you, Ron”. Is this the same Ron who said, “you got my daughter, stole, b****!”
Why hasn’t anyone questioned the way he addresses a female??
I hope Art Harris stays on this until Misty tells us WHO took the child and WHY she covered and lied and was complicit. Did she trade Haliegh for drugs? Was Misty likely abused? Yes. No question. Her age, promiscuity, drug abuse, and willingness to be physically abused by Ron tell a story.
But that does not excuse what she has done with Haliegh.

What was up with Ron the Con last night with his suit and pink tie on. I almost fell out of my bed. Talk about culture shock. Then he was wearing a pink Haleigh button, with a new hair do. He didn’t even bother to dress for his wedding day to his child bride! When asked if Misty should be reteted …his was reply was Miss Nancy I don’t think so. Well who left him in charge of this investigation? Heck yes she should and so should he and all the rest! They need (LE) some answers and not the shuck and jive they have been given. Good grief, what a snack pit and the comment was right about Jr. if he is not removed from those people his mug shot will be right up there with the rest. They all know what happened to her and they don’t care, nice duds Ron, but you can’t put lipstick on a pig and make it any better. All you have to do is open your mouth!

Ronald, Misty, and other family members know something. For some reason they have a hold on each other. First they all talk about how great Ronald and Misty are as parents, now they are turning on them. By the headless rat is Ronald calling Misty’s brother a rat? Maybe this was a warning from Ron that he will label the brother a rat and let someone else take care of him. On the streets this could mean death. Do any of these boys or men bring in hard earned money to support their families? Ronald controls this family by providing drugs and that’s how he got Misty. Druggies are good liars and can be very convincing, including Ronald Cummings. It looks like Misty’s family is starting to scatter away from the truth. Ronald gives me the impression that he is a woman and child beater and that he knows what happened to Haleigh.

How long had the gun been missing, really? Whose fingerprints were on the gun? DNA? Why wait for nearly a month after the gun was missing to file a charge? Could it have actually been taken when Misty was in the home? Sometimes, we know what is in a drawer but, only to find it missing at a later time. (While sister, brother or mother were using the phone?)Since the owner of the gun let’s “anyone” apparently, into his home, maybe the gun was taken at the same time sugar, toilet paper, etc. The return of this gun by Sr. Croslin–?
We believe that this Croslin got jailed with a hugh bond, and baby sister can lose a child and goes FREE! In Satsuma, there must be more concern about an alleged stolen gun than a missing child!
Ronald Cummings court date–will he get time for battery and whatever else charge? In Satsuma, a child is missing; time is given for a d— gun and a $50,000.00 bond. Where is Haleigh? Misty, Ronald Co. tell us what happened to Haleigh Bug!

I want to know why at this point in the investagation Misty cannot at the very least be arrested for interfering with an investigation? Filing a false police reports? Fraudulent information in an investigation? Since they clearly know with all of her inconsistencies that she has told,there are lies there?
Also,Why wouldn’t Ronald want Misty to under go hypnosis to discover what happen? It would only make sense that he would do WHATEVER to find Haleigh!!! Unless he himself has something to hide also.

I was looking at the 2 part police report about the gun theft,

and there are a couple of things that stand out to me.
Firstly, the initial contact was made by the Detective following up on a tip. The PCSO was never called by this man.
Second, during the initial contact, Mr. Martin stated that Hank Sr told the victim that Lisa said that Hank Jr took the gun. On the Subsequent visit, the report indicates that the victim stated that Lisa told him that Jr took the gun.
Also, during initial contact on Aug 25th, the Detective looked through the gentleman’s caller ID and found a number said to be the other brother’s. I have to wonder if that was also covered in the Labor Day Weekend conversations up north about phone records.
There is also something that bothers me, the fact that Hank Jr’s SSN# is not blacked out on a report that is being blasted all over the internet (not to mention the phone numbers of the other brother and Lisa Croslin’s mother).
Please don’t get me wrong, I am all for anything that brings down whoever has the missing pieces to this horror story and quite frankly I think it is going to be right in the middle of the Croslin family, but I have to wonder if a good defense attorney couldn’t do something with those conflicting statements made by the victim as to who told him who took the gun.
Anyway, thank you for taking your time to read this far. I have always enjoyed your well thought out reporting and you have also been quite kind in your correspondence with me, so I just thought I would run those thoughts by you.

This story came from family members,that Ron left work during his shift for over 2hrs and left his cell phone in his locker at work,he came back to work drinking or drunk. This was told by a person who was working the same night that haleigh went missing and ron was suppose to be working all night. The guy working the nightshift with Ron told this.

We could argue this all day; fact is no one knows if there even is a memory issue, or if the standard is to high, or if she did the best she could do and that is all that is to it. That is for the courts to sort out. Lie detectors are not admissible and that is the bottom line. As for abuse I am not playing into accusing someone of lying when younger children are in this environment, fear of rejection has a powerful hold over victims. All I care about is who ever did it pays. I believe in fairness, not this media blitz, not these publicity stunts milking pockets and kick starting careers. I don’t believe Police should go on TV and spark up bias with simple worded explanations that really don’t offer any information they simply paint a bias picture, be professional. This attack on Mistys accusation of abuse and the immediate approval of her Mother and others can serve as a window to some who would wonder why would some one hold something back, in a family like that your dog meat if you come out with anything, so with that said I never understood why the Police Guilty or not ever thought isolating Misty was a good tactic, now that they have broadened their scope hopefully it will yield answers bring this girl home so this family can have closure, and Justice.

Interested #65, you make a very valid point. If Misty were knocked out by means of drugs or alcohol then she would have no recollection and therefore could not be inconsistent.
LE has stated from the beginning that Misty was lying. Most likely due to the fact that she failed their poly( imo) Ronald Cummings says Detective Merchant said they had both passed. HMMMMMMMMMM! One would think that the detective would have told Ron the truth about Mistys, since he is the father of Haleigh.
I hope this case breaks soon.

Hi Art and fellow posters,,,,I’m reading the comments and everyone is thinking the same thing,,,Why doesn’t LE arrest Misty for something,,child endangerment,lieing,something,,,then a thought with teeth,,,,,At any given time, either she or Ronald could be picked up and I would bet a nickle to a donut,,,they would be high,,any Friday, Satuday or Sunday morning,,,,I bet they could be found with drugs on them as well as in them,,,Wouldn’t that be enough to have JR, removed from their custody…These are NOT intelligent people,who can forever,,,outwit the LE,,,,, and I believe they do NOT go a weekend with out getting high or drunk….If none of them will tell the truth about Haleigh,,,then maybe going down for drug use and abuse, will produce some answers….Who cares why they go to jail????It seems to me at any given time this could be done.Why are the LE allowing them a life full of drugs, when we all know this is the cause and effect of a precious little girl gone missing……..I did fall off the bed when I saw that yahoo, Ron in a suit….you can dress him up,,, but Deliverance still comes to mind,,just the same……From the very beginning,,,Ronald has not cared about Haleigh missing,,,,,tats, beer, cigs, Misty, marriage, guns, drugs,lies,dead rats,,,,,,does any one of these words pertain to a sweet little girl missing,,,you wouldn’t thinks so,,,,,,,,but they really do. The most telling thing to me was,,the memorial tatoo Ron got ,,because he KNEW she wasn’t coming back,,,,just like Casey…….Please people,,,we must find a way to bring this to a close, and bring this little girl home……Misty, if you are reading this,,NO ONE CAN HELP YOU HAVE A BETTER LIFE, IF YOU DON’T HELP YOURSELF…BEING WITH A MAN WHO HITS YOU IS NOT LOVE….BEING WITH A MAN WHO DEGRADES YOU,,,IS NOT LOVE,,BY THE WAY DEGRADES MEANS SAYING BAD THINGS TO YOU, LIKE YOU’RE NOT WORTH THIS OR YOU ARE NOT WORTH THAT………BEING WITH A MAN WHO WANTS TO CONTROL EVERYTHING YOU DO AND EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS NOT “LOVE’,,,,,I could go on and on, but Misty get a grip, clean yourself up (drugs),,,and tell the truth…I promise you this,,,UNTIL YOU TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT HALEIGH,,,YOU WILLL NEVER HAVE A LIFE,,,GOODD OR BAD…
pfh–what if party boys drugged misty and took haleigh, then dumped her in the pond…? then she will be looked at very differently, as a victim, even, no? Art

Thank you,,Art,,,for letting me rant…I am very sad and it makes me sick, a little girl (Haleigh),,can go missing,,stay missing,,and the so-called parents are allowed to go forward with their drug infested life,,,,,and another child in their care, is left in their care…..With the history of drugs of these two ,,,Misty and Ronald,,,,are children’s services waiting for something to happen to Jr,,,, before they do something……Under the circumstances of having one child missing, more than likely she is dead,,,, I would think someone in authority in Florida would take it upon themselves to do some undercover work to prove these people are not capable of keeping this little boy safe….I so want Haleigh to be found,,,but what dangers lurk in the life of JR??????

art what ever happened to the air conditioner guy? did the locks get changed on the trailer before ron moved in,,who lived in there before.? could this gun had been left out and haleigh was shot somehow ? ls misty pregnant from her week end away partying with nay nay ? thankyou art for your coverage. last question sir ,how come we don’t know who saw haleigh in wallmart and man or woman????where is that security tape from walmart ?????ty

re 83: Art, if Misty got drugged up and let Haleigh be taken and killed, Misty deserved to spend the rest of her worthless life in prison. If someone dumped Haleigh in a pond to kill her, those druggies should face the DP. I agree with other writers here: why do ROn and Misty continually get “get out of jail free” cards from LE? They could have been jailed right after Haleigh disappeared and this case would have been resolved by now. It really does look like FL LE cares MUCH more about a stupid gun than the life of a darling child.

Art, you make a good point about “party boys” drugging Misty, and taking Haleigh…If that should turn out to be the case,,,I will be the first person to reach out to Misty, and help her in any way I can,,,because I do believe she has lived a horrible life…Her parents are sewer rats as well as her druggie bros. With the background she has had ,,she never had a chance, if you know what I mean,,,but she is NOW making decisions that are going to stay with her forever…..She has just gone from one druggie man (her father) to another druggie man (Ron)…..If someone responsible had been watching those kids that night,,,Haleigh would still be here,,,that’s the bottom line………This kind of life is generational, sadly enough…….Learned behaviour…..If Misty isn’t careful, she will be the next to go missing……..We’ve seen this is a life or DEATH situation,,,,poor Haleigh,,I think it’s too late for her,,,but Misty,,,as long as you hang with the sewer rats,,you will be a sewer rat as well….WHERE IS HALEIGH?????????

art it wasn’t said to me but was in a discussion between some family members that it came out in. but I feel if people speak up when they hear something it might lead to someone finding out where haleigh is its not like any of the family really cares,are she wouldn’t be where she is now. Opal–Not questioning you about what you heard but need to know the source…when you said came up in discussion with family members, where did you read it? what website? was it reported by a bonafide news org, or journalist or was it banter on the web of the sort we’ve seen retracted and corrected and disavowed. that’s why i dont want on here, rank speculation passed off as fact because a reader says “someone said,” or “I heard.” those are not authoritative…don’t mind IF you can cite where you heard or saw… but it’s case by case. tx

Art, I listen to Nancy every night and have heard all the remarks, but not once have I heard anything lately about where bio-Mom has been!!!Have police searched her home, friends, and family? I know she said she had never been in the Cummings trailer, but if that is where my children were I would make damn sure I knew how they were living. I have always thought that if Misty had anything to do with Haleighs dissappearnce that her mentality is not capable of or the mental appitude to get any of her recollections straight!!Not to make a bad comment about her, but it seems her aptitude is limited and that is why she has so many dicrepancies. I still feel in my gut that the bio-mom might know more than has been brought up or the focus is on Misty. I pray to God that that little girl is found alive. Have clinics and hospitals etc been alerted to Haleigh’s medical condition and to report selling any mdications that she might need for the Turners? And again seems like bio-mom is no longer in the picture. I can understand Ron adn Misty fighting, so much media and seems like maybe they both need a time-out from each other. Also was Misty told not to leave town? Keep up the good work.

Okay, so Ronald Cummings says he had nothing to do with the whole rat incident because he was partying with Misty as his witness. Why would Ronald Cummings be partying while his daughter is missing???????? He then indicates that he really was responsible for the rat incident. These people are so messed up.
The BIGGEST question is, why on earth hasn’t CPS taken the little boy away from this father? NO child should be around these people. It is obviously that these people are involved with drugs and guns and what ever else you can think of. NO CHILD SHOULD BE AROUND ANY OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
