It’s the first time I’ve heard Misty Cummings explain why she washed the blanket and put it back over little Haleigh before she went to bed.
“It smelled like pee,” she says under artful questioning by private investigator T.J. Ward of Atlanta. Ward recently gave Misty a Layered Voice Analysis test for Texas Equusearch after Haleigh’s stepmother volunteered to do whatever it took to clear her name as the 17 year old babysitter who was the last person to see the five year old alive early Feb. 10 — and the key person of interest police say knows more than she’s revealed about what happened that night, including why she washed the blanket.
“Who’s going to cover up a kid with a blanket that smells like pee,” she told Ward, exasperated and teary-eyed. So she washed it.
It’s all on videotape shot by my old friend, Steph Watts, former ABC and FOX producer who once worked for Court TV.
Voice stress testing is not as widely accepted as traditional polygraphs used by law enforcement, though Ward says they can be an equally effective investigative tool, revealing degrees of truth or falsity as the questions roll, and allow the interviewer to double back in real time, re-ask a question and watch the “truth-o-meter” jump, allowing another quick follow up question.
In this case, Ward asked Misty some 25 questions, he says, compared to the six question polygraph Misty agreed to take with a former FBI polygraph operator retained by Texas Equusearch, which has said Misty failed “miserably,” showing upwards of 99 per cent deception.
Ward tells me that she also appeared to be lying throughout his testing, but did appear to be confused about who took Haleigh, and as police have announced, appears to know more about the disappearance than she’s revealing.
With Ward, she mentions she returned to babysit Haleigh after she was gone for the weekend, but doesn’t volunteer she was said to be partying with drugs, sex and rock and roll pals – much less engaging in a revenge fling she confirmed to police investigators in Putnam County with a light-skinned African American nicknamed White Boy Greg. Her girlfriend, Kristina Prevatt, who goes by the colorful nickname “Nay Nay,” told me in an exclusive videotaped interview she picked Misty up after she had a fight with Ronald and called for a ride.
As Nay Nay told me, Misty described Ronald’s fury that she might be pregnant with another man’s child, and squeezed her into a ball, allegedly roughing her up, so she fled. Misty has never publically discussed the fight, but investigators confirm she related that story as well.
On Ward’s test, Misty maintains Ronald picked up Haleigh from the bus stop, but two parents who were there tell me Misty was behind the wheel, yelling for Haleigh to hurry up and was overheard to describe some “bad shit” she’d scored the night before.
Regardless, Misty strikes a chord of sympathy, begging be understood, as she describes her sad, hard life, living house to house and out of cars, describing her parents as druggies, says she was molested by a cousin, as well as one brother, and that her sad life didn’t’ look like it was going to get any better. You can’t help but feel for the kid.
After all, as she says, “how much can a 17 year old girl take?”
At least her husband Ronald is standing by his woman, and doesn’t believe she had anything to do with Haleigh vanishing.
That’s what he said on The Nancy Grace Show last night, telling me months ago over fried grouper and sweet tea at MeMas that he loved her, despite alleged wild child ways, and that he planned to keep her close, just in case she did know more than she’s been telling.

I watched the Nancy show. Firstly the fourish people have never been an issue for me. Brother, wife, their kids, A/C guy, Nanny. Now someone may think in terms od adults it was 4 but include kids the numbers go up. What is the problem with that. NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE, SHE DID NOT LEAVE. SHE DID NOT DO IT. Tim Miller told her she had limited days brought them there and them says he won’t look for Haleigh unless she does the test? That is emotional black mail, it’s low balling, power tripping, border line extortion, blantinn exploitation and a flat out set up. What is with the Tester saying ” He thinks it means this and that” What kind of bogus tester is that, never stand in court, speculation. This girl is being rail roaded by a bunch of YAHOO’S Wyatt Earps gone south. The one paying the price for all this nonsense is Haleigh. The Police, Tim, Nancy, you, and the rest should be sued. All of you, you all make me sick!!!

#1 It has already been reported and confirmed by LE that Ron Cummings did not pick up Haleigh from the bus stop the day she disappeared; Misty did. Here is a lie. #2 you cannot look under beds when they are lying flat on the floor. #3 If they came back home and went to sleep until 11 or 12 O’ clock where was Jr?
It sounds like they have studied everything they have said since Haleighs disappearance, so that they can remember what they have already stated with out changing their initial statements. Unfortunately, Misty has trouble with memorization skills and Ronalds is very easy all he says is ” I DON’T KNOW”
Ronald says to Tim Miller he does not believe Mistys story , but on public media he stands by her. He did the same when he first met up with Cobra and told Cobra and Art Harris he married Misty to keep her close and referred to her as his enemy.
Where was Jr. if the beds were not slept in and they were made up? Jr was supposedly in bed with Misty sleeping. Ronald is the one that made this statement.
If Misty really loves kids, including Haleigh, the way she says she does; then she needs to tell the TRUTH

It would be in Mistys best interest to leave Ronald and start speaking the truth , he is her ENEMY!! This is not about two love birds in love. They are just trying to cover their butts from prison.
Little Jr. needs to be removed from this enviroment and perhaps put in his mothers care until this is over.
How can Misty say she does not believe Haleigh is deceased and then send detectives out to find a fake rose and start the search there. How does she know about this rose, unless she and Ron planted there and are playing a sick game with LAW ENFORCEMENT!!

Misty Croslin-Cummings surely has no problem with “lie detector” tests since she proclaims to all and sundry “I PASSED!!” In my opinion, she is an uneducated, self-absorbed druggie that manipulates and twists everything in her path, including the truth. So she had an unfortunate childhood! Welcome to the human race and get over it. I have no sympathy for her or for Ronald Cummings. IMHO they are two lazy liars who deserve each other. Poor Haleigh for ever being in their path.

Nancy Grace has picked up the story once again. I am disappointed however that she obviously still believes that Ronald Cummings is innocent of any wrongdoing in the disappearance of his daughter.
She has a marvelous track record as a prosecutor, so I really troubled by the fact that she continues to believe Ronald’s story. It is so obvious that he is the “person of interest” in his daughter’s disappearance. Misty is just the puppet, Ronald is pulling the strings. Misty knows….but she is not going to tell….Ron is keeping her close to make sure that she doesn’t cave in to pressure. He married her thinking she could not testify against him.———–

OK, I have been following the Haleigh Cummings case from the very beginning. I have watched Nancy Grace faithfully, I have read anything and everything possible on Art Harris. I was so please to see that Nancy had picked this story back up again. I watch Nancy because she is good at getting the facts on this case as well as many others. Any of these cases involving children just pulls at my heart as I could never imagine something so horrible happening to one of my children. I can not tell you how much I want this case to be solved but what I can tell you is that I am through watching Nancy Grace after watching her be a total BITCH to Haleigh’s mother tonight! Where does she get off being so nasty? What gives her that right? I mean my god, she is a very talented, educated woman, there is NO reason to be so nasty. Whatever facts that Nancy can possibly cover on her show will surely be covered on another show, for example JVM or even on this site. What a shame, I can not imagine going through all that Nancy Grace claims she has been through, then be blessed with two beautiful, healthy children, have a successful show and still be such a BITCH!! Thank you Art for your continued coverage on this case. I pray that Haleigh is found alive and safe!!

Nancy Grace is a smart woman, why did she reduce herself to trying to pick a fight with Crystal?
Crystal is a good and polite guest, Nancy treats her with distain. Crystal is missing a daughter, does Nancy ever consider that? The worse part is being in limbo, she doesn’t know what happen to her child or if Haleigh is dead
or alive. Crystal may never even find the grave of her only daughter and Nancy Grace insists on hammering her for something petty. Why?

Watching Nancy Grace again tonight and she was a BITCH to Haleigh’s mom. Nancy totally believes Ron, which suprises me. I thought Nancy was more intuative than that.
Yeah, he has a alibi, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what happened.
Tonight Tim Miller stated that Ron told him ‘if he (Ron) had the $35,000 he could get Haleigh back’.
Is it possible that Ron knows that Misty has been on a drug binge for days and they owe someone $$$ and she is being held hostage?

Did anyone but me notice Crystal has all this make up on and nice clothes. Which was probably made from money she made that was suppose to be used to find Haleigh. I could be wrong but I still say Misty is innocent and Crystal is guilty. Maybe Crystal had someone else go there and take her, but I just hope she is alive and will be found soon.
Nancy was pretty tough on Ronald also, but maybe the new interest in the case will bring closure.

Thank you olddarkie and Gigi for making me not feel so insane. Olddarkie, thank you for saying exactly how I feel. Also, thank you to Gigi. It is so sick to me how she handles Ronald Cummings with kid gloves. When he’s the one sleeping with the enemy. That Miss Nancy stuff makes me sick. Then she attacks Crystal. Hello, her daughter is missing too. Crystal was under age when she got pregnant with Haleigh. Does she really think Ronald is a good guy?You can just tell he’s a controlling guy. I understand she has to keep Ronald on the string so he will come back on the show, but I had to fire off a nasty letter last night.
After this whole circus, I hope someone can save that little boy before he turns into his father.

Curious and Gigi (8 & 10), did you watch the same show the rest of us did? How could a “mom” not have a frickin CLUE what’s going on with her precious missing child? She doesn’t KNOW what time she gets out of school? She doesn’t KNOW what time she gets off the bus? Why? “Because they don’t tell me these things.” Why should anyone have to TELL you about your child? Get up off the sofa, go to her school, meet with her teachers, talk to the guidance counselor, talk to the principal – my God, you’re not the only parent on the planet that doesn’t live with baby daddy, but most of those parents at least can tell you when their kids school hours are. You don’t know cause you don’t care to know. You don’t live on Mars, you live 80 minutes from her school. You don’t work so surely you could have carved out a couple hours out of your busy day to meet with the people that take care of your child 5 days a week to see who/what/when/where she spends every day. You’re the biological parent. They talk to biological parents. They even like to talk to biological parents.
It’s been 7 months and you don’t know the basics of who saw your baby last and what happened the day she disappeared. I’d have names, weight, height, criminal background checks, neighbors address and photos of every person that laid eyes on my baby that day. I’d have police report copies and witness statements of every person who could tell me anything that give me insight into a minute by minute timeline of where my child was that day.
And most important, I’d damn sure have the chick’s number that was the last to see my baby. There wouldn’t be a damn thing I didn’t know about her from the time she left the womb until what she at for lunch that day.

Oh absolutely…I agree with you. Misty does fear Ronald….he has this volatile temper….if I got my story right, I understand during his last arrest for fighting with Misty’s brother and father, Misty got roughened up in the process. She said she was trying to stop the fight. Hmmmm…could it be Ronald was roughing up Misty and her father and brother intervened?
Something happened to Haleigh…AND RONALD AND MISTY BOTH KNOW WHAT. Law enforcement’s job is to get them to talk.

i know alot of people think that misty barely got home that monday and that she was high? i listened to the 911 atpe she dosent sound incoherent at all- she seemed to have all her senses? ronald seemed irate- his reaction said that misty was incompetent to be a good babysitter or wife- i think that she is covering for him!!

I still Say, Misty has been Coxed into keeping her mouth shut on what really happened to Haleigh. I also Still think, that Ron and Misty Has had something to Do with her disappearance,and or what happened to her, and Both Mothers of Ron and Misty Knows all about it, and their not wanting for those two to go to jail, So! with that said, I think that the police department clearing Ronald of any wrong doing is a tad bit extreme to say the least. those two didn’t get married for pleasure. {Well maybe] – with their thought processes, they thought they would not have to testify against each other, Course with some people weather their married or not, Some wouldn’t tell the truth the Hole truth and Nothing but the truth, So help them… no matter what course of action was tossed at them, their Hard Core, Don’t give a Hang Individuals, that could care less! weather it’s one of their own or not! Hey yeah Cobra If your seeing this, She Misty stated that she started Dinner around 5Pm {while being hypnotized} and Before that State of Mind! – OK – On Simmons Program you mentioned that Haleigh and Her Brother was out on the porch eating their dinner around 7 – 7:30 Pm – and it was cold out there! Right! I’m Sorry But why if she started Dinner at 5:00Pm did it take So long to feed the Children, it doesn’t take two hours to cook dinner, I mean Unless she was cooking a big amount, what was she having that night? that might be a question for thought! if it was hot dogs, dang they had to be mighty crunchy? { Food For Thought Cobra – Food For Thought! }

I also agree with GiGi and Curious, why is Nancy Grace making Crystal feel like she is a bad mother and it is so apparent and she acts like Ronald Cummings is the wonderful caring father! He is a bully…a phony. Has anyone seen his smirks…he gives me the creeps. And now he is wearing a tie for the camera? Whats that all about, who is he trying to impress? I hope Nancy is just humoring him or she doesnt have a very good judge of character. yes lay off Crystal she is going through her own personal hell and regrets I’m sure and I know Ronald is still controlling her with the kids. she made mistakes but you know she hasnt back bited anyone since this has been going on I think she just tried to gain a spine with Ronald and probably was threatened by him like he has threatened how many people in the public eye alone. Nancy she I am sure has felt his wrath just like Missy and his kids.

Art, Nancy Grace? Nasty Nancy! How could she belittle another mother on national television as she did Crystal, the precious mother of Haleigh Cummings? (edit) … We are so disgusted with Nancy Grace here in Jacksonville, FL. How could she treat the suffering mother of Little Haleigh Cummings like that and suck up to Ronald Cummings…(edit) Crystal and her mother, Marie, did not deserve that smart mouth’s treatment. Tonight and forever, many, like us, will watch reruns of The Andy Griffith Show so we don’t look at her face when she shrugs and rolls her eyes at a mother who no doubt is still crying tonight from Nancy Grace’s treatment that Crystal endured.
God Bless you Crystal; stand strong against the devil. We love your family and want Haleigh to come home. The guilty will pay, Nancy Grace. We want to see your show “after” Ronald Cummings is jailed along with the ones who are involved and are covering up for him. Nancy, will you just, by chance, be on vacation when this happens? We are all ASSUMING (especially Nancy Grace) that Misty was the last person to see Haliegh alive, but let’s say for the sake of argument that Ronald was the last person to see her alive. Finding out that Misty was running around partying with other men, is it so far fetched to believe that Ronald, in a fit of rage and with Haliegh, as sickly as she was, in the middle of a tantrum lashed out at her and (accidently) struck and killed her. What better alibi than to have Misty play dumb and not remember anything. “If you leave me Ronald I’ll tell what you did.” To hell with hypnosis, give her truth serum. What’s more important, finding Haliegh or Misty’s civil rights?

Plausible theory, however no physical or circumstantial evidence backs your dreamavision, and cops have cleared him officiially of any involvement in the disappearance of his child. Maybe this question has been addressed earlier, but wouldn’t the investigators have records of Misty’s cell phone pings and or calls on the night Hailey went missing?
Carol–Absolutely, and Ron’s, too. What we know is that the tower near the PDM plant picked up his cell phone twice, and that witnesses put him at work, and while some sources suggest his time card was punched in and out properly, we don’t know if he did the punching or whether there’s evidence or witnesses putting him somewhere other than PDM. For now, police have cleared him as a suspect, and he maintains he has no idea what happened to his child, and is standing by his woman. Although, as I’ve said before, he sure had his doubts over sweet tea and fried grouper at MeMas when we spoke in Satsuma months ago. He said the same thing then, we’re hearing him say now as to why he’d stay with a woman whose story has been undermined by polygraphs, lawyered voice analysis, hypnosis sessions and numerous conflicts: he aims to keep his friends close and his enemies closer. If she does know anything about who took Haleigh, he said he wants to keep her within arms length. Then again, if she knows more than she’s telling about Ronald, he just mght want to keep her close, too, right?–art

I can’t believe folks want to stand up for Crystal. Her child is missing and she has not bothered to find out when she was seen last? What time she got out of school? If the AC man saw her? Talked to the Great Granny that saw her, talked to the neighbors that saw her. Talked to Misty’s brother. WTF. COME ON. No matter what you think of Ron Cumming’s he loved this child and Crystal did not know a thing about her own kid. The kid is missing and she still does not bother to find out? Crystal did a great job of making herself look like an idiot. All Nancy did was ask her some basic questions that any decent mother who’s kid was missing would know. misty is makin a deal to get folks to feel sorry for her story what has to do with Haleigh, Ron smart to keep her close. If she had done what her parents said and been sent to live in Michigan none of these interviews would been done. She was going to be sent by her folks, Ron asked her to marry and she stayed. So if she is involved there is better chance to get to the bottom of it.

Carol-Misty turned off her cell phone at 8pm after a fight with Ron. Says Ron’s lawyers. Either Misty did something with her, Misty went out and someone took her or Ron had Misty turn off her phone and do something with her body.

Art, Our theory of the rose: it is the one seen on the Granny’s trailer door in a news media release, or it is one or one of many purchased for an “occasion” by the Cummings. It was placed in the woods by the “owner/s” of the China rose. Since Misty Croslin Cummings knew of its, “the rose,” location, she placed it in the woods to get media attention. Misty wanted authorities to get mislead into thinking someone buried Haleigh in the woods. The rose was placed there to DISTRACT LE from Haleigh’s last known location which she knew Haleigh was “not in the woods.” That was her plan, and it didn’t work as there was not much exposure on the red rose. We are still curious if it is the one on Granny’s door or one like it in Granny’s home. We believe that is called “impeding with an investigation by law enforcement.” The theory: the rose was placed there by the last person/s who saw Haleigh alive. Who put it in the woods??????

If it was my child I would search for the truth, not stereotypes, I would fiercely oppose tunnel vision because I know the devastation & loss of Justice it causes. I can say something good about Misty because I have my own mind and I have the right to. If the truth was the agenda on the table during this testing there would have been several things in place. Firstly a lawyer or some type of advocate for Misty, and a specialist that deals in Trauma. Confidentiality agreements to ensure integrity that ensure it does become subject to evening drama specials. In regards to Mr. Miller failing to ensure these things were in place I do not believe was intentional in terms of trying to set up or harm Misty, I think it was do to lack of experience in this end of an investigation. I don’t see a problem with her time line, no one remembers things step by step, second by second, remembering things as a fog, as a dream, standing across the room watching snip bits of it, floating from the sealing looking down at it, all these things are 100% consistent with trauma. There are numerous other things that happen, completely blocking parts, loosing audio in memories, colors being exaggerated, flash backs night mares, dreaming things before consciously remembering it. Remembering a detail later realizing something was different but it does not change the big picture those experiences are also not unusual. There are so many other factors to take into consideration, how does this person deal with trauma, has this person had to before, if so has that person already acquired skills for copying, what is the history of how she remembers things? Are you sure her memory method this time is inconsistent? Taking a 17year old girl isolating her, especially if it was men, older, can cause extreme anxiety and thus severally impact the results. Being that their great specialist why was this not taken into consideration? They need to get off this kick and find the answer not the easiest route.

Art, you are sure right about Misty. Your earlier comment was just perfect. WHile I do not in any way admire Ron, the pain in his voice on that 911 call was obviously real. It all comes back to Misty. If she is so afraid of Ron–like Crystal is afraid of Ron–she may never tell what she does know. Nancy Grace is sometimes a fool to take sides in a fight that will have no winners at all when the dust finally settles. Ron is guilty of all kinds of horrible things, and if he were to be locked up, I would throw a party. That doesn’t mean he had anything to do with Haleigh disappearing. Here’s hoping somebody manages to make Misty tell the truth.

After reading about Munchausen by proxy syndrome. The parent or caregiver misleads others into thinking that the child has medical problems by lying and reporting fictitious episodes. He or she may exaggerate, fabricate, or induce symptoms.
Typically, the perpetrator feels satisfied by gaining the attention and sympathy of doctors, nurses, and others who come into contact with him or her and the child. Some experts believe that it isn’t just the attention that’s gained from the “illness” of the child that drives this behavior, but also the satisfaction in being able to deceive individuals that they consider to be more important and powerful than themselves.
Frequently, the perpetrator is familiar with the medical profession and is very good at fooling the doctors.
Because the parent or caregiver appears to be so caring and attentive, often no one suspects any wrongdoing.
Even the most experienced doctors can miss the meaning of the inconsistencies in the child’s symptoms.
If… doctors can miss the meaning of inconsistencies I can see how LE could miss the meanings of one that appears to be so caring and attentive in a missing child case.
With that being said. If a person can control their emotion by taking drugs prior to a lie detector or control emotions & pass a lie detector by answering Yes or No to questions and say nothing more. Chances are the person(s) holding the key to Haleighs disappearance has been over looked. If a parent can deceive a doctor the perpetrator that took Haleigh may be familiar with the Law enforcement profession and is very good at fooling the law.

The guy that gave this stress test said on Nancy Grace that Misty does not know if Haliegh is dead or alive. This makes no sense to me. I mean if what they are saying is true, which is that Misty did something to her, wouldn’t she know if she was dead or alive? This is very odd.

I saw lots of photos of the mom and grandma with huge smiles at Haleighbug Center, I have not seen the father smile at all. Not even at his wedding. I have seen Misty, Crystal and Marie Griffis, Chad Griffis with huge smiles and laughing. Which to me is very odd.

I want to thank Art for keeping Haleigh’s story out there.
I have a few questions about some articles I have read over the past few days and know that Art is the man to get the answers for us if he can, so I ask. Art could you please fill us in on the story about the truck and $35,000 that was mentioned, the fight, Misty’s cell phone, Misty walking Haleigh in to school that Morning, What time was Misty found after her weekend drug partying, and Ron being at work at 4:00PM.
WHAT IS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUCK?
Misty points fingers at her brother Tommy when she took the voice analysis, saying he could have done something to Haleigh. I recall the rumor about a truck being heard the early morning that Haleigh went missing. Someone claimed they heard a truck around 1:30AM. Misty claims Tommy drives a red truck and that he sold it right after Haleigh went missing. From what I read on Steph’s site The police were going to get the truck and process it and the truck is still in Tommy’s and Mom’s name. Any news on this truck yet?
HAS THIS FRIEND OF RON’S BEEN CONTACTED BY LE?
Ron’s attorney said that Ron has a friend who has a little four year old girl and Ron talked to her and she told Ron that she (the 4 yr old) talks to Haleigh. And that Haleigh told her that she is being kept by a so called Larry? Has Ron given LE the name of this friend and has LE gotten the phone records? And why would Ron be talking to a 4 year old about his missing daughter?
Ron’s attorney also made the statement that Ronald said to Misty’s dad that if they knew who Larry was and 35 thousand dollars then they could get Haleigh back. Tim has a check ready, no return of Haleigh? What is going on? Is there anyone by the name of Larry in either side of the family?
SO WHAT TIME DID RON LEAVE FOR WORK? I THOUGHT HE HAD DONE A DAY JOB THAT DAY LANDSCAPING (RUMOR OR FACT?) IF SO, WHERE? DID HE EVER COME BACK HOME THAT DAY BEFORE LEAVING FOR WORK?
Ron’s attorney also claims that Ron starts work at 5pm and that he left for work early 30-45 MIN, but it was said that Ron started his work shift at 4pm which if that was the case he would of left the home around 3:15PM.
Ron’s work hours that night were 4pm to 3am. LE and PDM both state that Ronald was present and accounted for that night. cell phone pings lend strong support to those statements by law enforcement and PDM.
Which is it? I would go with the 4pm and that would bring Misty back in the picture and it would place her as the one picking up Haleigh from the bus stop as it was reported on Artharris.com.
Also, this whole deal with Ron and Misty going to Weleka that morning to get an outfit for Haleigh to wear to school, does not make sense. I just can’t see Ron saying, lets go get your outfit since you don’t want to wear what you have on for school (He would of disiplined Haleigh the way DFC told him to, remember he and Haleigh have an agreement JMO). He was seen speeding by the bus stop that morning so how did he have time to travel to Weleka and still get Haleigh to school? Misty said she even walked Haleigh in, so was Haleigh late for school that day?
I still feel that what ever happen, happen around 8:00 that night and I hope that even if Misty’s phone was off that there is a way to get her cell phone pings.

Ron tells Tim Miller if he had $35,000 he could get Haleigh back. Does this sound like a father that has no knowledge of what happened to his daughter or where she may be? It has been reported that Tim Miller has given Ron a check for this amount. Tim got a friend out of Texas to write a check out for this amount. LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!!!
Ron and Teresa Neves both claim Misty knows behind Mistys back to Tim Miller but contradict themselves in the media and they defend Misty. Like it is not going to get reported and Misty will not hear what they have said.Why all this drama? It is like they are just playing games with LE and anyone trying to help find this poor little girl.
We all heard nothing from Cummings and Neves until after the altercation with Hank Jr. They were not looking for Haleigh. Ron and Misty both were not cooperating with LE.

ART has already months ago confirmed by LE and the witnesses at the bus stop that it was Misty that picked up Haleigh that day and Jr. was with her. Not home taking a nap. They sure sleep a lot since that morning Misty said they came back home and went to sleep until 11 or 12 O’clock and then Jr. supposedly taking another nap at around the time haleigh was to get off the bus at 3:30 p.m. Mist said she was home with Jr; not picking up Haleigh. Ron did. LIARS!! Nancy reads Arts articles and knows all these facts. She knows!! Nancy Grace is a very smart woman and was an excellent prosecutor. She knows what she is doing.

Just watched the video again! If I see she is telling different stories why can’t The LE see and quetion her. Misty and Ron love to get high before doing interveiws, why doesn’t their lawyers advise them against this.
1.) If she walked Haleigh in her classroom someone at that school had to see her teacher, parents, video etc. Just to see if this is true. Never heard it before. Sources say Ron just took her to school from AH
2.) Ronald did not pick Haleigh up from school.
3.)Did they take Jr. in the morning with them to drop her off? Misty said when Ronald picked Haleigh up from school she stayed home cause Jr. was sleeping around 3:00. OK she said after they got back from school they went back to sleep until noon. Was Jr. up then? was he being watched while they slept? Then put Jr. back to bed at 8:00. I guess I could be 17 and watch kids if I kept them in bed all day.
4.) This is the first time I have heard Misty say she was gone for the weekend. Who watched the kids then? Does or did Ron work on weekends? I am assuming since he stayed in bed until noon.

Krissy–Go back and read my stories about Nay Nay and White Boy Gregg where I broke Misty’s whereabouts in the days leading up to and through that weekend. She didn’t get back with Ronald til Sunday night after she claimed to him she was pregnant on Wed or Thurs. That’s when she told Nay Nay he got rough and curled her into a ball, and squeezed hard. She ran and called Nay Nay to pick her up…She told the same story to LE, about the missing weekend.
As for the last day…i’ve reported they were up all Sunday, and overslept, then raced out, whether Misty rode with Ronald that morning as he drove like a bat outa hell to get Haleigh to school, can’t say. Parents who saw him whip around the bus stop and almost hit kids waiting there tell me his windows were tinted dark and you couldn’t tell if Misty was inside, or Haleigh. But Haleigh didn’t ride the bus, and she did get to school later. Misty says she wanted to wear an outfit they didnt’ have at the house so they had to stop by her grandmother’s. And parents at the stop also tell me,as I’ve reported, that Misty was driving the van that picked up Haleigh up later that afternoon, not Ronald. Unclear why they’re sticking to that story. Cops confirm they interviewed the witness parents and have no reason not to believe them. =art

There is woman in this story, mother, wife, sister, someone is not coming forward, it is either one of the ones in there that day, the brother, A/C guy, a neighbour, someone affiliated to a neighbour. The brick may have been placed in front of the door to keep it out of the way while the lock was fiddled with or in preparation to carry to the child out and not have it band being the resistance bar did not work, it could have been done for both reasons. Misty is not lying, neither is Ronald, the Grandmas, and while Crystals absence is hard to reconcile I think what angers people the most is that she fails to take responsibility and opts to blame. Yes of course it has always been her responsibility to make her child her business, not have the info delivered to her, none the less I don’t think she had anything to do with it. No matter the family, the short comings, who was there, Haleigh or another like her, a child would have went missing from that home or a home in that immediate area that night

The first and biggest”lie” I picked up on, was that Misty was freaking out, looking all over the trailer for Haleigh, even looking “under beds” how and why do you look under mattresses laying flat on the floor ??
She claims she washed the blankets, yet her newest statement, she retracted that statement also…said she “never did any laundry, because there was no laundry soap, and the clothes that were in the dryer were dirty clothes” She also has most recently said that she never went to sleep that night….when is this gorl going to get her stories straight?
The time is getting closer to Misty and Ronald throwing each other under the bus…When Ronald was recently asked about Misty, he said ” I know that little b*tch has something to do with it. he was asked, why did you marry her? He said..”because you keep your friends close and your enemies closer”

well another thing to think about…Ronald claimed he punched the hole in the back door when he got home from work and was freaking over Haileigh being missing….But…At 3 am the back door is open and propped open by a rock or brick, and is still that way when LE comes…I seriously feel that something happened to Haleigh while Ron and Misty were fighting before Ron ever went to work, which is also when he punched the door…DNA proved the blood found on the door was his…Maybe Haleigh stepped out and got in the way during the fight, and even if it was an accident, they both panicked, and lied.

For all of you who are being so hard on Crystal: I’ll admit her lack of information seems odd, but I remember reading that law enforcement had told the 2 families to NOT communicate. Also, if the police can’t get a consistent story from those 2, how do you expect Crystal to get any answers? I’m sure she’d like some basic info., but I would bet, it’ll never happen. Maybe the question you should be asking yourself is this, ‘Why hasn’t Ronald [the loving father & all-around wonderful person],@ least called her & told her the whole story?’ & yes, I was also very put-out with Nancy Grace & her usual antics. She has just gotten so rude & disrespectful to certain guests & panelists-& then to jump from all of that anger to syrupy adoration of her twins is just weird. To disconnect from emotions that quickly, just seems fake.

The comment about Haleigh getting in the way- there would be evidence, if she got in the way, after all his blood was on the door or wall. Whatever he hit. Art does Misty have a valid DL? Could they be dumb enough to be worried that she is not supposed to drive the children? Because since this child was seen by so many into the evening, no reason for them to lie….Besides the sister in law is the one that had the car? Correct? I mean unless the entire Croslin family is lying including Hank Juniors children, not to mention JR would know when his sister was around. This theory that he did something to this child before work needs to go. He had no time to cover this up after work.
Misty does not know who took the child. She was heard yelling by a neighbor and she says she was yelling Haleigh, seems to me whatever she did, went out, did drugs, left the door open, if she does not know who took this kid, maybe she just left the place unlocked and someone just took this child. Because they wanted her. If she left it unlocked it could be anyone. Perhaps that is why she urges them to just move on. Why don’t they polygraph everyone? Entire Croslin family, cousin, Crystal’s fiance, EVERYONE. What is this department doing besides blamming Misty?

What in the world is Florida thinking letting “Dumb & Dumber” (Misty & Ronald) keep custody of Ronald, Jr? They have proven they are unable to raise children. Ronald said himself Misty NEVER did laundry because they never had laundry detergent. My word they can’t even take care of themselves… Neither of them can keep a job, even before all of this happened Ronald could not keep a job. What is Dept of Family Services waiting on??? I hate to think about the things these two children have had to witness being in this home with “Dumb & Dumber” Misty talks about how close her & Haleigh are and Haleigh always wanted Misty to match her shoes, etc. That is because Misty has the personality and IQ of a 7th grader. Ronald said himself the bed Misty claimed to be sleeping in was made and had not been slept in. His lack of judgement to marry her after he himself said she wasn’t telling the truth about what bed she was in says dont let him raise ANY children. At the VERY LEAST Ronald is guilty of poor judgement and shouldn’t be raising children. At first I felt like Teresa Neves was a positive influence but as the grandmother of this child she should be demanding answers from Misty Instead she right along with Ron just stand beside Misty. If the dad & grandmother are standing behind someone who has not been forthcoming in this investigation and has many indescripincies then why hasn’t Ronald Jr. been taken from them???

Gigi, I agree with you. I have always been a fan of Nancy Grace until I have finally had it with her being so rude and nasty to Haleighs bio mom. There is no since in it. But she has NEVER been that rude to Ronald. Ronald who shacked up with a 17 year old CHILD and yes she is a child! Ronald allowing this 17 year old to be the caregiver to his young children even with her wild partying and drug abuse. Why has Nancy chose to be so rude to the bio mom and not mention his poor judgement? No longer Nancy’s number 1 fan! Nancy I lost alot of respect for you. It might be different if you were rude to everyone but you chose the WRONG person in my opinion. Why not ask Ronald about his drug use?? Why not ask Ronald why marry the woman who has NOT been forthcoming in your daughters disappearance?? I was womdering if Haleigh checked into school late on Feb. 9? Cause there is no way she made in on time if Ronald drove by the kids waiting for the bus went all the way to Grandas in Welaka, then back to her school on time. The kids waiting for the bus leads me to think it was pretty close to start school. Just want to make sure Misty in tellin the truth.
She has NOW lied 3 times about her waking up. The police report said to get a drink of water, then she said to use the restroom and now out of a deep sleep she doesnt know why she woke up. What?

Ron did NOT TELL TIM MILLER he could get Haleigh back for $35,000. HANK CROSLIN left a message on Tim Millers voice mail to say that he felt Tim Miller was setting her up, they should test Ron because Ron said this. Hank Croslin said this and Tim Miller DID NOT hear this from Ron Cumming’s. Hank Croslin says many things said Ron did this or said that and later we learn that he heard it from Misty, NOT RON. Tim Miller should not put out that statement as if it is a fact that Ron Cumming’s said this.
I do not like the way Tim Miller has acted in all this.

I sure hope Crystal gets involved in things now. I do not care where she lived, there is no excuse not to visit the school, have lunch their with your child, etc.When your her crystal and Marie talk about picking the kids up on Fri. at six and returning them on Sun at six it sounds like they are talking about dropping off dry cleaning.
Crystal should demand that her children should not be driven by Misty. There is no way she could of past the drivers license test. Hell she cant spell take. I sure Misty smokes in the car with kids too. But, I guess if Crystal didnt have to worry about it, just doing what the court said and she them 4 days a month. Crystal sid she could not eat cause she didn’t know if Haleigh was eatting. What do you think child support is? FOOD CLOTHES, etc. I still can’t beleive she did not pay one dime. Guess not really shocked anymore!!!!

Nancy grace is a Mother and I think she should give Crystal a chance to tell her side. Ron is a very poor parent to 1. Date and marry minors, to me that is very poor judgment on his part, whether he has a job or not, that doesn’t make him a saint, he offered them drugs, smokes, etc, manipulated them and the way he is acting he acts like the pedophile that took Jaycee, I mean he is no better than that man. I think until proven otherwise Crystal should have had custody of the kids in the first place, he wanted nothing to do with Haleigh, until after Crystal finally left him. She finally had the guts to do so, after she left he was sneaky and using the law to get custody, because the Mother new the police etc. He should have known better in cheating on Crystal with a minor (Misty and much more). Haleigh had special needs and the Mother (Crystal) would have found help not only for herself, but for her two children (Haleigh and Jr). After all it was Ron who supplied her with drugs and from what I understand, when Crystal told him she was having a baby, Crystal dropped the drugs, and Ron punched her because of it. I think he is using the children as tools to get money, not only from donators, but the Government probably to supply his needs in drugs perhaps for his habit, him in jail a lot proves that he is unfit. Keep enemies closer by marrying a minor, to me that is just sick. I think he should have worked it out with Crystal and remained with her, perhaps Haleigh wouldn’t have gone missing. Her peeing the bed shows signs of a behavior problem. The place they live in (Ron and Misty), bed on the floor, in with the parents, that isn’t right. We all are forgetting one thing here Haleigh is missing, we all know that Misty is lying, she may have faked her hypnosis as well, anyone can do that!! I can’t be put under and perhaps she can’t either. So I think we should put our focus on finding that sweet girl and give the kids back to the Real Mother, where they belong!! Still praying for you Haleigh and love you a lot!! *MUAH* oxox Bring in the Physic’s!!

Art, I have been waiting for LE to bring Misty in on some kind of charges. They could start with “Child Neglect/Endangerment” if she was not home. LE keeps asking the public to come forward if anyone out there knows for a fact that Misty was not home. I thought that someone already did give LE a statement that Misty was not home that night? Or was that rumor?

There’s something I don’t understand through all this with regards to the cinder block -
If it held the back screen door open, what held open the inner wooden door – That was the door with the difficult locking mechanism, which also automatically closed and locked after opening. This was demonstrated on NG’s show several times, and so I don’t understand Ditzy Mitzy’s version of the BACK DOOR being opened.
Could it be that SHE had used the block to keep the two doors open somehow while she went out? In order to access her way back in without being noticed using the front door. Perhaps, “Hitler” didn’t allow her to have her own house key…
Anyways, upon returning, (and upon the disappearance of Haleigh, assuming that incident took place in and around then) the wooden door closes completely and the cinder block remains on the step keeping the outdoor screen door propped open.
Just throwing it out there, cause as I said earlier, that cinder block deal really drives me to distraction – It’s illogical in fitting with the disappearance story, kitchen light on, and the door open. Notice word DOOR – NOT DOORS propped open…..

Sorry to dissapoint, but no smoking guns here, and I’ve pressed all involved, had real experts vet it and interviewed Crystal in person; she’s tall and long limbed, with thick forearms and large hands… And where’s the motive? There are plenty of pix of her and Haleigh, so why photo shop one? This is the last time I will waste time on bogus theories originally floated by whacko wannabes with Donate to Me buttons on their sites, begging for cash in the name of a missing child..who only emerged as vengeful and obsessed, a defamer with a past after his job app was tossed by The Bald Truth…who lost a bitter custody fight and has been bitter ever since…regarded as a joke by officials peppered with complaints and marked as spam by a growing e mail list….including us.

MADJGNLAW in response to your post (#70) If LE would take Misty in for child endangerment/child neglect, then they should take Ronald also. When Ronald comes home from a night job, he goes to bed and sleeps(obviously) and Misty even said she goes back to bed after Haleigh goes to school too….when they are BOTH sleeping….WHO is looking after Ronald Jr.? The is Ronald’s child and should be making sure that the little boy is safe and being looked after !For all of the laws Ronald actually manipulated by lying in order to obtain custody of the children, you would think something could be over turned now that the truth is out !
Ronald tried calling Misty all night, and she never answered the phone(maybe it was turned off) she was watching HIS children, shouldn’t he have been MORE worried, and rushed right home…not stop at the store for beer and smokes? Something sure smells fishy in Florida, and it’s NOT coming from the water !!!

Danny, the picture of Chrystal and the two children is real, it has not been tampered with. Many people who know how to do it, also put that picture through their own programs, and it has proved to not be tampered with what so ever ! It’s time to move on and away from the picture speculations, because that is very old news, There are many pictured of Chrystal with the children, so there would be absolutely no point in making a “fake one” !

Please correct me if I am wrong…but, didn’t Misty say that on that last day, Ronald drove Haleigh to school because they were running late, and Misty stayed at home because Ronald Jr. was still sleeping? I thought I read that comment made by Misty somewhere.

Oh oh…..ok wait…now I am very confused ! The night that Misty called her parents and told them to come get her because she didn’t want to live with Ronald anymore…yes it said her brother went along, and Ronald ended up fighting with him,,,I thought it was said that it was her brother Hank Jr. who was there, not her brother Tommy, and now she has a restraining order on Tommy?
It just hasn’t made sense..Misty calls them for help, they go there to get her, Ronald fights with his brother in law and father in law, and gets arrested…Misty bonds Ronald out, then flips on her brother? Did Ronald have her do that, because this brother can whoop Ronald’s hide?

Hi Art,
Thanks for posting Misty’s voice analysis and hypnosis sessions. Here’s what bothered me about Misty’s ‘revelations’:
- No mention during hynosis of any details, she just quickly skims through the chronology.
- She does not mention her 8:30 pm argument over the cell phone / even mention of any 8:30 pm cell phone conversation with Ron, as verified by their cell phone records. No mention of conversations with brother Timmy using her cell, even though her cell phone records verify she had those conversations as well. Why is Misty reluctant to even mention these conversations?
- Also, once again Misty lies and states that Haleigh slipped in a movie into the dvd player in the master bedroom. That player was way too high up for a child under 4′ to reach, as photos and LE sources have confirmed.
- I was also struck by the shaking in Misty’s voice during the voice analysis, as well as the obvious dry mouth she had, due to her nervousness.
Too bad the voice stress test administrator did not ask Misty about any phone calls she received or made that night and the content of those phone calls.

Ok.. I have followed this case from the very beginning. For those of you that really think Ronald had something to do with Haleighs dissappearance, did you not hear the same 9-11 call as I did? That is a reaction of a man in a great deal of pain and he is clearly ticked off at Misty as he says “how could you let someone steal my daughter, you dumb *itch”! Misty failed the polys while Ron has clearly past his tests. They know where he was… they know that he called looking for Misty from work that night over 20 times!!! Then she shows up in the front yard just as he is getting home. Misty is the liar, she knows the truth. The only thing I blame Ronald for is sticking by her side and marrying her. She is a 17 year old druggie with little education. This is so very easy to see. Her story is so inconsistant and it’s just plain stupid and she just keeps sticking to the “I don’t know”. Her repeated ” I wouldn’t do anything to “THAT LITTLE GIRL” really bothers me that she doesn’t call her by name. I think that in itself says a whole lot.
The people in this case just amaze me. Poor Haleigh. She was just a innocent, beautiful little girl growing up with alot of bad people surrounding her and the one that was left to care for her is the one that knows the truth. Misty, you need to tell the truth!! But sadly.. I don’t ever think she will. Whether Haleigh is alive or sadly dead, I just want them to find her so that they can finally press some charges and get some justice! I agree with those that say that Crystal (Haleighs mom) should have known more about what was going on with her child even if she did live 80 miles away but I also believe that if she had been with her real mother, this wouldn’t have happened because she wouldnt’ have been left with that lying, cheating, manipulative 17 year old. People stop making excuses for Misty. She has made enough of them herself and has been proven to be 99% of a bunch of B.S.

i hope she is arrested soon. what i cant understand is why she was allowed to leave town to begin with. but got to thinking when i heard she went to orlando that an arrest there would be good. she could spent time in same jail as casey.and maybe we could hear recorded conversations between the two.solve two cases at once.
