CNN host Jane Velez-Mitchell will revisit the tragic and baffling disappearance of Satsuma, Florida five year old Haleigh Cummings on her show, ISSUES, Thursday Night, May 14, on Headline News.
It’s been over three months since Haleigh vanished Feb. 10, reported missing at 3:30 a.m. from the trailer of father Ronald Cummings by a 17 year old live-in babysitter named Misty (then) Croslin. Within a month, Cummings married Misty, whose timeline has been a major focus of federal, state and local police; seven members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s major crime unit are now the investigators on the front lines of this shadow war, along with a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigator.
Overshadowing the hunt for clues are the embattled parents– father Ronald, and mother Crystal Sheffield –locked in a bitter child custody, he-said, she-said, battle royal over Haleigh’s four year old brother, Ronald, Jr.; abuse allegations against his father remain under investigation by child welfare workers with Florida’s Department of Children and Families, but staffers are considering Crystal’s fitness as well. In court in 2005, she lost custody to Cummings when they split.
Sources familiar with the case, including witnesses who tell me they’ve been interviewed, also tell me investigators have quizzed family members on both sides, along with Ronald Cummings’ exes like Amber Brooks, Ronald co-workers at PDM Bridge, where he worked as a crane operator before he was fired last month, neighbors who saw Haleigh get off the bus on her last day home from school, and others.
While there’s a normal 60 day deadline to finish child abuse probes by DFS, which ended last Tuesday, The Bald Truth has confirmed a news account reporting the deadline has been extended so investigators can keep digging into the fitness of the parents and determine whether Ronald Junior is safe living with his father and stepmother at the trailer home of Cummings grandmother in Welaka, or needs to be removed. “We typically try to wrap up cases in 60 days,” says John Harrell, Putnam County’s DFS spokesman. “Occasionally we go longer, but we try not to go too far beyond that.”
In the Haleigh case, a criminal probe into the missing child that includes multilple interviews with some family members was reason enough to buy child welfare workers more time to investigate, sources close to the case tell The Bald Truth. Law enforcement has been sharing some information from the case with DFS, sources tell me.
“It’s hard to go into details because of confidentiality,” John Harrell tells The Bald Truth. “What I can say here is that we’re continuing to look into things; and that child safety is a top priority.”
Options include removing the child immediately if the evidence shows he’s in immediate danger, a hearing to determine where the child should go if he’s at risk but not in immediate danger or dropping the investigation.
In the Cummings case, some witnesses have spoken to both DFS and police in joint meetings. Jerry Santos, a father of three and Ronald Cummings’ neighbor, tells me he described how Ronald was driving his purple Altima like a bat out of hell on the Monday morning that was Haleigh’s last day at school.
In fact, Santos believes he saw her through Ronald’s tinted windows as the father sped around the corner, whipping within inches of a pickup truck and nearly hitting him and others. He told investigators his daughter, a third grader who had taken Haleigh under wing when they road the bus together, was frightened for days afterwards. He recalls at least one detective giving him a thumbs up, “like now they knew why Ronald was in such a hurry that day. They didn’t tell me anything, just, ‘Now it’s starting to make sense.”
Santos tells me he also told investigators about a bizarre meeting with Cummings immediately after Geraldo Rivera, the FOX news host, confronted Ronald on camera, hitting him hard about allegedly abusing his ex, Crystal. Afterwards, he says Cummings made a beeline for his house to press Santos’ father to counter Geraldo’s charges by contacting FOX to declare him a fit parent. Cummings figured he’d do it because Jerry’s father is the DFS investigator who dug into complaints against Cummings in the past, including one that charged he had abused Junior by beating him with a stick.
That investigation reportedly determined that while Cummings used corporal punishment, it did not meet the threshhold of physical abuse.
Still, the DFS investigator was shocked Cummings would come to his son’s house to make that personal appeal that appeared to be a demand. “My Dad told him, ‘You shouldn’t even be here, the proper place to make that request is at the DFS office.’ He said there was no way he could take up for him with Geraldo.”
Santos says that Cummings was stunned, and on his way out, got hit again between the eyes with an impromptu question from his outspoken mother. “So what did Misty do with your child?” He didn’t respond, but Santos did take a moment to ask Cummings why he was driving so fast the day at the bus stop, when he almost hit his daughter.
“Haleigh was missing,” he says Ronald responded, implying he was distraught.
“No, Ronald, that was Haleigh’s last day at school. She didn’t go missing until the next day,” said Santos. Then he said it must have been because Haleigh had spilled something on her shirt and he was running late for school (even though the bus had yet to leave from the corner where Haleigh often caught it).
A call to Ronald Cummings lawyer, Greg Kimball, for comment was not returned by deadline, though Cummings did speak out in a video on the lawyer’s website findhaleigh.com, thanking volunteers and asking people to keep looking for his daughter.

You tried your best again on JVM but way to much twists in this case for few minutes. If I wasn’t following this I would have no clue what you were talking about tonight. It is impossible to connect the dots. Can you answer something for me? Am I thinking this out correctly? This guy Jerome decides he is going to help and go dig up the dirt on Misty, etc. BUT before that could happen he was set up undercover sting, and is now in jail but this time no bond possible? So he has gone in and out this jail like I would a grocery store but now that he wants to dig into the ‘underbelly’ like it said he is kept under lock and key? It all smells to me personally

If the part about Haleigh’s shirt needing to be changed is true and then the bus hadn’t even left the bus stop yet when Ron, according to the neighbor “sped around the corner, whipping within inches of a pick up truck and nearly hitting him and others” I am even more concerned about Ron’s agressive behavior.

Driving like a ‘bat out of hell’ could be a result of anger. He may not have been in a hurry at all, or it doesn’t seem like he needed to be since the bus hadn’t arrived yet. Was Misty home from her 3 day junket by Monday morning?
We got new neighbors right around the first of the year. The women are very brazen according to my daughter, who does not like them at all. I knew they had a son about 10 years old because he’s been all over the place. I even had to warn him away from fishing in the pond next to our home because, as I told him, “the granddaddy of all water mocassins lives in that pond.” Curiously, a younger boy began making an appearance a few months ago. I saw him for the first time one night when his mother was outside saying goodbye to a visitor, possibly her sister. The boy was jumping around, making high pitched noises, and just having a great time in a late night, hyperactive state of happiness. He was wearing an over-sized, adult t-shirt, so that it looked like a dress on him.
A few days later, I got a closer look at him from behind. He was going to the pool with his older brother, but what struck me was the younger boy’s haircut. It was nicely layered, pouffy, dark blonde, very effeminate, and he even walked like a girl, which provoked a few thoughts . . . if someone has Haleigh, they would color her hair, or dress her like a boy. Anyway, I’m waiting for my next opportunity to go a-Sherlock-Holmesing, without being obvious, of course.
The case is intriguing. It has turned so many of us into amateur investigators. I confess I’m a literary snob; I don’t like mystery or detective novels, but I now understand the genre’s mass appeal.

Dang! I have wondered if Haleigh didn’t go missing before Rod went to work that Monday? I don’t know but something is rotted in Denmark! I just can’t make sense of a few things. Like why Ron married Misty, when he didn’t marry Crystal or Amber and has lived longer with each of them and has children with each. Misty went on a wild sex and drug filled weekend, and when Misty returns Ron just welcomes her back and leaves to work? I don’t think so. Then that same day Haleigh goes missing… (while under Misty’s care)a month later Ron and Misty get married? I don’t think so! and one more thing… Ron refuses to enter and/or live in the house, house that Haleigh went missing from or the house where *IT* happened! I have a strong feeling that is why Ron refused to go back or live in the same house. I have had a bad feeling about this situation from the very beginning, if Haleigh had gone missing from Crystal’s home I would suspect her too but Haleigh went missing from her dad’s home. At first I thought it was Misty, but now I think it was Ron or someone in his family. I think that since Ron is known for having a bad temper, with Misty missing and out on her *payback* sex and drug filled weekend… I don’t see Ron welcoming Misty back with open arms. Ron has abused his other women for less. I think Ron was on a *rage* and poor Haleigh may have just crossed his path at the wrong time and Ron hurt his little girl. I think this is why Misty has so many holes in her story and timeline, because she is covering up for Ron. I also feel that is why Ron refuses to live in his house, because Haleigh could be stashed somewhere in the house, under the house, in the attic or in the septic tank. I just don’t understand why Ron wouldn’t go back to his home. As for Crystal, no children have gone missing from her home or while under her care.I have read that the cops have not even searched Crystal’s home.I want to make it clear I’m not a Crystal fan or a Ron fan. I pray I am sooo wrong, may God keep Haleigh and her loved ones. I do fear for Junior’s safety. God bless the children … the inoccent!

La girl lindy-My take is that Jerome wasn’t able to deliver what he’d hoped, became waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to high profile sashaying about with his girls and cops just couldn’t let his wheeling and public dealing go unchecked any longer, not with a registered sex offender, Mr. Bass, tossed in the mix as self-styled landlord of the housing arrangements…Trafficking is pretty serious, so no bond justified legally…locked away, the galpals have no protector, no telling what trouble they might get into, or hill of fire ants they might kick over…

One thing i noticed about Ron tonight was he looked “Cleaned up” as in “no drugs” I think that is why you think he looks so “good”. To me, he showed no emotion. He could have been talking about a truck that was missing.

Haleigh was never safe in that home. Girls are not safe around Ronald Cummings. Ask the majority of them. Jr will be safe, he is a boy. Ronald will make sure nothing bad happens to him. Thank god there is no Statute of Limitations on Murder.

Art, I heard from someone in town that Misty and Ronald had a fight outside the house last night, That Ronald shoved Misty into the side of the house and then pushed her on the ground, they were very loud argueing at each other, but LE wasnt called because it was over very quickly, have you heard about it yet… also I think Kim and Crystal will be live on Geraldo Sunday night….

well, well, well…..Ron went to insist Santos to speak on what a better parent he is. A DCF investigator as a neighbor. Hmmm. very interesting. And a LE buddy pal mixed in there somewhere. No wonder this catz got 9 lives. He thinks he’s the cats meow here and the world revolves around him. Explains a lot of his egotistic tendancies when he speaks so highly of himself and blames others for the downfalls in his everyday life. Im glad Santos finally saw thru it enough to tell him “NO”. This young man has been hiding secrets. His mama needs to stop coddling him on TV interviews before she ends up an accessory to a crime thats been commited. That poor sweet baby girl, his whole heart, but his big ego takes center stage and she paid the price, for whatever it was. He’s got a LE in his back pocket for sure ART, find out who they are, and the house of cards will fall on Ronald…he thinks he’s gotten by with something. This is the reason why NayNay got bailed out by that Cucks BB and why Jerome got with her that night, someone in LE didnt want NayNay to straighten up and talk about what she really may know. Here’s the thing though, Haleigh, according to her teachers, was in school that Monday. Neighbors and the bus driver also recall dropping Haleigh off after school that Monday.
I can’t figure this into the mix.

Responding here to make sure we stay together on the Q and A.
Actually, Jerry does give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Sometimes “gotcha” doesn’t turn out to be gotcha.
He paid a fine for possessing a nickel bag of pot six years ago, he tells me, used to smoke pot but gave it up. “I was wrong, I admitted it.” A lot of stress after moving down from New York mid-custody fight with a woman with a past he didn’t learn about until after they’d had a son together. Long story, but he says she calls Putnam county cops to report domestic battery, says he hit her. Cops show up, arrest him, giving her enough time to scoop up their 7 year old son and split for Kentucky where he’s been locked in a court battle for years.
Meanwhile, Putnam County DCF checks Jerry out, and clears him of the battery accusation. They drop the charges, but in process of cuffing him, cop breaks his shoulder–all caught on camera, an event that triggered a lawsuit against the county and yielded a five figure settlement recently.
The rest of the story behind the story appears to be one to really lol about: grand theft auto charge dropped, put him through the ringer. He’d let a relative park her car at his house, not knowing it was about to be repod’d. Truck shows up to take her car, it’s gone. They report it stolen; he’s at work, arrested. She’d apparently snuck back and taken it. Wasn’t his car. Don’t see any adjudication on rap sheet, do you? That’s because it was dismissed, he says. Also very old case. Note dates.
As for his character, he’s in a great relationship,finally found the right woman, he says. Recently been approved as a foster parent, in addition parenting his own three children –two of his and one his current girlfriend, Stephanie, brought to the table. Coaches all in little league, heading to the playoffs today, steady job, helps his mother who takes care of handicapped kids; his father works for DCF in PC. He did want to clarify spotting Ronald speeding at the bus stop and nearly hittin the parents.
Says he saw Ronald through the dark glass, but not Haleigh, though we know she was at school that day and later told Jerry he was in a hurry because she’d spilled something, after he related he was in a hurry over stress of her gone missing.
Jerry has been quizzed several times by DCF and the cops, and I’ll have more to report about some of the other shocking things he heard or witnessed…that day at the bus stop, and later. It will not make you LOL.

I do agree with you Gayle-Ron cleaned up- no ear rings. For a minute-…. I felt like he forgot what he was there for . Just feel him and Misty are making this case more difficult by not telling all, just like Casey did with Caylee. Cindy & George cleaned car and all. They know… Grama Tresa cleaned trailer and they all moved out fast… LE will probably go back in the trailer even though they say they are done. I hope if little Haleigh is alive that they can get her breathers to her. She has a little dent in her throat, that tells you she needs those breathers. If she was shipped to one of the family members- Please bring her back or take her to a dr. under someone elses name… you are already in trouble but maybe you can make a deal. You would not to wake up in the morn and find her dead…Please stay calm and think this out… Let the Good Lord Guide You!

Thank you Art I saw you on Jane GREAT JOB,then I switched channels as I will not watch NG anymore she is so obsessed with Anthony’s I think if the twins were misssing she would still be hung up on the A’s IMO. Art, don’t post this one but can’t you track down Rainy’s IP (I believe that is what it is called)? I looked back at all Rainy’s posts and I swear that this is Misty. Go back and reread all of them. The horrible grammar and sentence structure and the words used. This has to be her. I’d like a hint that it is her so we could start pumping her up and offer her help because I feel like she might be insecure in her relationship w/Ron at the moment. Mobile homes do not have attics. The home was searched for a week, and the skirting was removed for the dogs to sniff in the crawl space. Haleigh is not in that house or under it.

I don’t understand this part. Why would it make sense to the detective that Ron was speeding that day? Haleigh did not disappear until the wee hours of the next morning. Did Santos get his days mixed up, or did Ronald? Please explain, I may be a little dense.

Gayle,,,I totally agree. Ronald C. could have been talking about how to plant tomatoes…No emotion what-so-ever…What the hell is going on with these people????? Ron’s little ditty on the new vid, showed a showered Ron,,,NOT neccessarly “cleaned” up as drugs….Just a water and soap bath…Of which, he never looked cleaned up before…Misty his gf is always nasty looking…What woman has dirt under her fingernails??? Just pure trashy…. What would Misty do, if she found out Ron has been with Amber again? There has to be a reason why Misty chooses to go after Amber’s baby….As she stated on Amber’s myspace…………..Getting back to the vid of RON’S last night……there was a flat affect,,,,,no emotion. This guy “KNOWS” where this little girl is…………I am so sorry to say this but, little Haleigh is not waiting somewhere to be resued in MO………She is with Jesus now, I feel, and the good Lord only knows what this child went through before her demise….Ronald C and Misty know where she is…….Please don’t let them get away with this….Pleae keep Haleigh’s face and name out there until this case is brought to an end…..one way or the other.

My husband and I are looking at the possibility of moving to Florida when we retire….I can say this “we would never move to Satsuma”…..This has to be one of the worst places in this country to live…..I wouldn’t want these trashy people as my neighbors…..Does any of the kids, IN THAT AREA and I said Kids (MISTYCroslin) ever graduate from high school????????? Gayle – I have read comments on other sites and the majority think he was high/tweeking. IMO, didn’t seem like his “heart” was in it. I have heard him talk alot clearer when he appeared on NG show. JMO
KIKI, you have brought up a lot of the same questions I have had all along. It has crossed my mind that maybe she went missing before he went to work. However, that would mean that grandma Neves and great grandma Sykes lied about seeing Haleigh that evening. They stated clothes were dropped off between 7 and 8pm and Haleigh and Junior were eating dinner on the front porch. I think neighbors may have said something if they didn’t agree with what the family said.

I also saw the new Ron video and I totally agree with several of that have also seen the clip. While Ron appears *cleaned up*. His efforts to *bring a tear* to his eyes was not real. He lingered for what seemed like several mins. trying to churn up tears to go with the fake emotion. It wasn’t working. It was so fake, so staged. I think his lawyers attempt to make Ron seem sincere, failed! I really doubt Ron fooled anyone. I agree, Ron seems to have moved on and at peace, with whatever happened to Haleigh. I can’t believe things like this are going on, but then I saw this news clip of a two boys and their mother killed in their beds, the husband/father seems to be the one suspected of this crime. I can’t understand what makes a person kill his or her child? There was a woman that killed her toddler, daughter and lied about it claiming someone hit her on the head and stole her child. she later broke-down and told the cops she killed her daughter and tossed her just off a freeway. These people are just selfish creatures and if they don’t want their children, they should give them up to people that would really love these poor children. It just makes me sick. I have kids and grandkids. I’m just glad that my kids and grandkids are healthy and happy. I am blessed, but me heart breaks for all these children and these young parents that just can’t seem to care for their children properly. God help them all.

But that doesn’t mean that Amber could not be somehow involved in Haleighs disapperence, just because she is related, look at what so many mommas do to their own children. Just two nights ago in Orange County, a man broke into a home by the way of a window, went in and located the four year old little girl. He took her from her room to another room of the home and THANK GOD the little girl screamed and her father came to her aide. The guy ran and dove out of the window. The little girl and her parents were able to give a great composite. I thank God for the little girls scream and her being able to tell the officers his description.
Here we have force of entry- No force of entry into the home of Rons home.

The four year old able to give a description- They do not want to listen to Jr. about what he saw- even though Jr. first made this statement to GG Sykes, before Crystal ever heard Jrs testament.
Everyone has a past. Some worse than others, but in a case where a child is missing their past is exposed. we have those who admit their past and present mistakes and then we have those who deny everything from their past to present. No one is perfect, but you have to put Haleighs best interest above your own.
If DCF did have a case open against Ronald pertaining to his children before Haleigh disappeared and people are thinking Ron is hiding Haleigh out, why not Jr to? If DCF did learn anything that might be going on and felt they should take Haleigh out of the home; they would take Jr also. I am sure Jr is capable of telling events he has saw. Perhaps Haleigh knew more, but if DCF finds reasonable cause to take one child ;they take all.
I have always thought Misty was involved or knew what happened. I did not think for one minute Ronald was involved at all when this story came to light. There have been too many twist since then and now I do believe that Ron knows what happened to Haleigh. If Ron has no invovlvement then I wish he would come out and not hide behind his lawyers video cam. There is so much more he could be doing to help find Haleigh. To start with he and Misty could tell the Truth about the night Haleigh disappeared. Stop worrying about his feelings that are being hurt by all the different allegations said about him. He needs to be worried about who is/has hurt Haleigh.
I cannot help but to remember what Mark Klaas and Nancy Grace said about how, even now they could not go back to where their loved ones were murdered. I do believe those were tears out of Ronalds eyes at first, if not, Ron deserves an EMMY for his performance. I just don’t understand why he could not enter or go back and live at that mobile home. Why has he done all of the things he has done since his beautiful daughter has been gone. There are really no excuses for his actions and it is his actions that have made him suspicious along with the rest of his family.
Art stated that LE are no longer looking at the theory that Crystal or Chad was involved with Haleighs disappearance. Art would not have printed this if it were not confirmed by LE. I do not believe He stated they were cleared. It just means they have no evidence to support this theory. It does not mean something could not arise later. ( jmo ) I personally do not believe Crystal was involved.
I really wish Ron and his family would come out and combine with Crystal in her events to help find Haleigh. I realize that they would be asked some tough questions but if they have nothing to hide; then what is the problem?

Again this is bias reporting. Keeping in mind Gossip is always exaggerated. What was 20 miles an hour 4 people down the gossip mill is 120 miles an hour. It is all to open to interpretation. Your idea of slow may be my idea of fast. Whipping around to me may be a slight dodge to you.This is any little thing you can find. This can be done with anyone’s life including you, me, and every investigator from every source involved, this is desperate reaching to say the least. It would be a bit contradictory to the importance of child safety to remove a child after over 2 months from an alleged dangerous environment. How about finding Haleigh!!!

The fact the Ron thought Santos could clear him of abuse just leads me to believe that there was none. Of course Misty being on drugs and being married to Ron may change that situation. I do not know if Santos is correct about LE feeling that Ron being in a rush with Haleigh is going to crack the case. But lets just take it that route. That would mean that Haleigh needed to be in bed on time. Misty had issues getting her to sleep as we have heard from Art.
So, how would Misty get her to bed? Could she have given the child some medicine like cough medicine or xanax and something went wrong? LE has said Ron worked his shift. What are the hours of that shift and did he even have time to do all this? Because you know if Ron came home and did something to Haleigh he did not have to call 911 that night.
He could have taken a couple hours to get rid of her and then call, have time to make up a good story with Misty, not the kind of lame ass story that she can’t even remember.
The time of it makes me wonder about Misty. I think she is either very slow or she is hiding something. If she did care about Haleigh and she did not do anything to her then why would she lie? It would have to be about something that she believes would not matter in the search for Haleigh. I heard that TN said something very important to Haleigh was missing with Haleigh. Something Haleigh would need when she got home. Then Internet rumor turned that in an inhaler for asthma. It could mean nothing, if it was a blanket or stuffed toy she slept with and the person took her out with it in hand. Like Jessica Lunsford. And I would like people to remember that Mark Lunsford could not and did not want to be in the trailer where his daughter went missing from. Before they found her and for the same reason. It reminded him of her and made him sad. I would also like to know about the keys on the counter at the Croslin’s. Is this Lisa and Hank this cousin was staying with? If this was Misty’s van did she have a key to the house on them? Why did Ron say no fight was had over a gun? Did LE tell him not to point to cousin? If they did then why did Misty?
Who was this cousin staying with? Also Art where was Sapp staying? How is Sapp related to the Croslin’s? I have not been able to link him but Cobra linked him the other day.
So, which of the Croslin’s homes was Sapp at? Could he have had access to those keys at any time to make a copy? Next time you talk to Cobra please ask him to place Sapp-time and place-

#13 Gayle – I agree with you that Ron looked very well, but there again, I think he always has. I respectfully disagree that he showed no emotion, I thought he showed a lot of emotion, he couldn’t talk at one stage and had to take a slow deep breath before continuing; as for the smirk, my middle brother always smirks when he’s in the limelight, regardless of what’s being discussed, he just doesn’t enjoy being centre stage, maybe Ron is shy who knows.

Haleigh isn’t even my kid, have never met the sweet pea ever, BUT I have shed more tears over here than they have!!
I so wish I could be there to help. This case has had me from the start. Rainy, The idea that this child is in or under the home of Ron Cumming’s seems really far fetched. LE tore the home up based on what I read. I also have wondered why Ron married Misty. My teenager daughter said it made sense to her as an us against the world type of alliance. If Ron should discover Misty has involvement, I would worry for her safety. I wonder if what Cobra said is true. That he married her to keep her close. I had heard that her parents had planned to send her to relatives in Michigan to get her away from the media. Misty has said she does not really like Satsuma as the reason she did not want to live there.
Perhaps Ron felt she would not come back. Either he loves her and was afraid to loose her, as he just lost his child perhaps he did not want to loose Misty as well. I wish I could know if Cobra was telling the truth. Art did you hear that yourself? Friends close and enemies closer? If this is the case that explains itself. People have said they could not imagine how anyone could be so cold as to marry for that reason, but I would. If if would tell me what happened to my missing child, I would do anything. Including getting married to find out.
There is a rush to judgement here on this site that I do not like. Many children have been taken from their homes doing the night. LE has blammed the family as the last person with the child. Saying as in this case that it was not a stranger. IF LE does not know who took this child, they should not be pointing at Misty Croslin. Of course they may have information that I do not. I do not like those that have made the custody issue more important than missing Haleigh. I think that is very irresponsible where missing Haleigh is concerned. I also think even Ron Cumming’s does not want people to link this with custody.
He wants people to look for this child. Not assume he killed her or Crystal took her.

Just a quick note to thank you for the last two updated posts. They were GREAT!! My Gutt keeps telling me Misty holds the key to everything. The one thing I cannot shake is the odd behavior Ronald showed within days and weeks of Haleigh’s disappearance.
For the life of me, I can’t get over him marrying Misty. I know a lot of marriage’s that have gone south from something happening to a child on one of the parents watch. This is common behavior, to hold blame for a tragedy. It rips families apart. It is very uncommon for someone to up and marry the person who was “On Watch” to protect their child when something tragic happens to them.
How insensitive is that, to celebrate a marriage when your precious child is missing? How can you not be thinking of just your precious child 24/7?
I would be consumed with grief not out doing the things that Ronald and Misty were doing. JMO

Therefore those that claim Crystal took Haleigh are not doing Ron Cumming’s any favors. He himself has said many times this is not about custody. I believe what he means by that is Haleigh was not taken in a custody battle so do not assume she was. Because the focus needs to be on finding her, not on his lifestyle or Crystal’s lifestyle. This is his worst nightmare I believe. His child is missing and all everyone cares about is how he lived his life and how Crystal lost custody. Taking the focus off his missing child. Crystal in doing what she has I feel has shown a total lack of sense as far as her kids are concerned. She has put her needs above those of Haleigh and Haliegh is missing. She should be able to put Haleigh Cummings first. If she felt so badly Junior was in danger, she could have asked DFS to investigate without putting it on every news program that would allow it. The focus can’t go back it seems, to finding Haleigh. Now that the mother has put it on the father and herself. It is sad.

Please tell me I’m not crazy. Why would the police believe anything these drugs addicts say. Do they not have a drug task force in their Police department. I have family who work’s on a drug task force in a Police Department in Ca. I can’t imagine them not knowing who all the players were ahead a time. At any time day or night they can call and my family member will know who is who and what the are up to. Where they live who their friends are where the hang out and so on. It’s called a task force because they are always working trying to I.D. all the players. Watching them putting there resources together. They should already know these people and what they are doing and what they are up to. Could it be that some one is in bed with these drug dealer’s? Something more is going on. This whole thing makes me sick. Good look Art and Corba. I defitenley would watch you back’s. I am just reading and watching anything I can about this story. I have found few things and of course my mind starts to rattle off scenarios that include all the key people in this case. I read today Kim is making Haleighbug non profit. It does allow tax exempt from federal and state level and allows salary based employees with no profit share. I started to think about this about it brought up a fact that early in this case just did not sit well for me. Someone stated Haleighbug would great career for Crystal since she had not made any job directions. My first thought months ago was that she is going to make business out of this tradegy.
I have found many angles to this little girl being missing. I don’t like thinking either parent may have something to do with but that is just where we are lead in any direction we choose. Drugs, abuse, DCF and custody
What do you know of these plans? Any insite on this?

I believe this all started 2/7/09 when misty told Ronald she was preg.He was mad and said it wasnt his baby and took Misty to her Brothers house and drop her off.Misty calls Naynay to come get her.Ronald calls and says he comming back over.Misty leaves with Naynay,she tell her that ron pushed her into a mirrow and curls her up in a ball.Misty arm is all cut up.So then Naynay and Misty go pick up white boy Greg they smoke a little weed,pop a few pill drink some and party hardy until Sunday nite.At this time Misty tells Naynay to take her to her brothers house because she has to wacth kids in morning.Monday morning rolls around and Misty hasnt come back home.Ronald gets up in a hurry to rush Haleigh to school and almost hits a truck.That after noon Ronald,Misty,and Teresa Neves rons mom all go to school to pick up Haleigh.Five people say Misty picked Haleigh up.Three people say haleigh was out side playing around five p.m jumping on trampOleen.Granny Skyes said she was their around seven p.m. and the kids were eating. Misty claims she put haleigh and jr. to bed at eight p.m.then went to bed her self at ten p.m.so last time haleigh was sean according to Misty was at ten p.m. What happen between ten p.m. and Three A.M.

This is a Mess! First off Ronald Has a Bad Temperament! And it would not surprise me at all if Haleigh didn’t get in the way of a Battle Royal, between Misty and Ron! It is quite Obvious that their all Covering up for each other, some one done something wrong! and I think Mist, Ronald, Reynolds Mother, and Misty’s Mom, Knows all about it all. and their Covering up for each other!
That Place down there in Satsuma, is A Drug infested area, that the Police evidently has Ignored for a LONG TIME! and it has gotten out of hand, why was it being ignored, Kick Backs! I have to say that to say the father did this seems ridiculous to me. He would have to get Misty to lie. Then assume she would lie even after he accused her on the 911 call. Misty just had an affair so it does not seem that she is totally under his thumb. He clearly loved his daughter and clearly she was daddy’s girl. I would lean toward a pedophile that watched the family. If LE truly has ruled out a pedophile I would look to Misty and an accident or her having company that she does not want to share. If the child is alive I would lean toward the mother’s side of the family. But to say Ron Cumming’s did this, I mean he would then want to look good on his call to 911. He would want to make himself look good. He did not do that. I believe his reaction was an honest reaction to finding his child missing. LE does not know where all the pedophiles were because they do not even know who all the pedophiles are.

I still think that whatever happened to Haleigh happened in that trailer. I don’t believe that she will be found alive, and I do believe that both Ron and Misti were involved in what happened, or at the very least trying to cover up what happened.
The old saying is that a rattler doesn’t change it patterns so I would tend to think that Ron married Misti to keep her mouth closed about what actually happened.
Granted this is just my opinion, but it seems to be one that is shared by many folks.

Ok, here is what i think, JMO, so at first i thought that it was misty, she hurt her and had to do something with the body, but then, ater some peeps i know said that she was no even home that night, i thought ok, maybe, just maybe someone was watching the house and saw her leave and in her absence, they had their chance to take haleigh, but the minute Ron married her, I KNEW, KNEW, he did something to her or knows why she went missing. Question, in the real world, if your child went missing on your little sneak around and screw every body and get high with them “girlfriends” watch, would you marry her, ummmmm, hell no, so that immediatly led me to think she has something she can hold over him and now will get what she wants, or with her little 17 year old mentallity, she will tell!!! In a sense, the girl is far from stupid, she sure has the LE going in circles, so , the only way they are gonna fidn out what happened to this little andgel ^i^ is if and when Ron gets fed up with her, but the cahnces of him going to jail are slim to none, His little nasty bride will hold his secret for ever and the sad part is, she wil take it to her grave, maybe even at the hands of RON!!!!!!!! If what Mr. Santos says is true then it appears to me that Ron was more concerned with defending his past actions than with finding his daughter. Has LE been able to verify the statements made by the Santos family as true and accurate? If Ron was innocent of any accusations made by Geraldo or Crystal then why the sudden urge to disprove and defend? It seems like Ron was confident that the DFS investigator was on his side rather than on the side of the children and the law. Why would Ron assume that an investigator from DFS would have the authority to speak on behalf of DFS regarding confidential reports? Why would DFS allow an investigation by a neighbor of the alleged? Did Mr. Santos report to DFS that he was a neighbor of Ron’s? Did Ron think that because Mr. Santos was a neighbor that his reports and investigation would be bias in his favor? I wonder what gave him that impression? Could this be another reason that Ron did not want to move back into his home once released as a crime scene? Did he fear that his neighbors (the Santos) were and would remain alert to his and Misty’s actions and report the truth, as they saw it, to the authorities? Was he shocked that they may have been aware of some of the things that went on the day that Haleigh went missing? JMO

IMO this case has many similarites to and is almost mirror image to the Trini Gonzalez murder case out of Texas. Ie. Broken household with two small children + Drug Abuse + Drug Dealing + Domestic Violence = Murder + Cover Up.
*Trini was only 9yrs old. Her little sister was witness but too young to articulate. Over a year and a half after Trini went reported missing from her bedroom, her remain were discovered in woods some miles from where she lived. Trini’s guardians; great aunt and her live in boyfriend were found guilty of her murder and both sentenced 45+life in prison.

Where were they when this took place? How is Sapp related to Misty? Has anyone thought about Ronald on the warpath? The morning he was driving frantically, maybe he went looking for Misty because she wasn’t home yet? Junior might have been in the backseat also and he figured he would drop Haleigh off at school while looking for Misty. I don’t know that we have heard when she actually returned after the party weekend. It was reported that Misty generally drops Haleigh off at the bus stop. Just another thought to think about.

Rainy: while you have a right to your opinion, I do know about men. I have six brothers, a husband, 2 sons, 3 grandsons, so am quite familiar. I did not see any remorse in Ron.
Having said that, You cant expect someone to act a certain way that we believe they should for sure.
I still stick by the fact that is Ron , not Misty that did something with the child. Misty was just a pawn I believe. She is just a young girl. A girl that obviously had no direction in her life. Chrystal was very young when she had these children. I know what it is like to be young and have children. 1. Witnesses claimed a fight over a gun with cousin Joe – Ronald denies.
2. Ronald charged with prescription drug possession — Ronald claims they are for accidental injuries. I would think you would not be charged if you had prescriptions? I would fight like heck to have them removed immediately, if not true. Palatka/Putnam county and now Sarasota County?
3. Ronald accused by some for child abuse – Ronald denies
4. Domestic abuse allegations from Crystal – Ronald denies. Latest arrest record found from Sarasota County: Viol injunction for domestic abuse violation.
Art – On the Nay Nay story – On Sunday morning, Misty supposedly wanted to go to her brother’s house. On Greg’s interview, he couldn’t remember the day, but thought he saw Misty on Sunday…where was Misty from Sunday until Monday afternoon. Hmmm… I think my last post was lost 3 articles ago…
Most of what I had to say has already been said anyway, but there are a few questions I am still mulling over in my mind.
It is a shame nobody checked Ron or Misty’s hands/forearms for scratches from that cinder block. For the people suggesting fingerprints- latent prints cannot be lifted from porous surfaces.
Going back to one of Cobra’s initial interactions with Ron, it really stands out in my mind that Ron mentioned that he married Misty with the intent to keep his enemies close. I would love to hear anything from Cobra or Art expanding on that and their opinion on the subject.
I still have not ruled out the possibility that Ron has no idea what has happened here.
BTW- I do not think “Rain” is Misty. I don’t think the poster is speaking/writing English as a native language. Be nice people ;0)

Art…you are right…too many twists and turns for JVM to cover or decipher. Could you comment on this theory, please? I believe this case could be much simpler than everyone thinks…just by following your investigation. No one can help with info…only two people know the truth. The propped door wasn’t for a fast get away…but for someone who couldn’t handle opening the door and carrying a five year-old out it at the same time…slight woman perhaps? Or…how about a man with the child and other bulky evidence (sheets/towels/clothes)? Misty has said (I think) that she washed blankets due to Haleigh wetting the bed….many children have been severely punished and yes, killed for wetting the bed. Is it possible this child is dead because she angered someone by wetting the bed? Could it be that drugs and sex play no part in this case…could it be that simple?

I just wanted to comment on a few things. I know to us it doesnt make sense Ron marrying Misty, but I do think he did it to keep her close because he too, knows deep down that she is the key to finding Haleigh. ( Besides that I beleive COBRA is completely honest and forthcoming) If you look at Ron on his way to the Courthouse to get the marriage liscense he looks disgusted but also overwhelmed with sadness, while Misty looks happy without a care in the world, bouncing all the way…all the while little Haleigh is missing. Remember in the 911 call his 1st gut reaction to the terror of it all, was you hear him saying to Misty, “why’d you let him steal my child bitch?”
IMO Misty and her cousin are in cahoots. Her pedophile cousin that she had over the house when Ronald was gone. Just what do you think they were doing together…drugs. That same cousin slept in his clothes that night, didnt go home but supposedly left for Tennessee that same night, only to find out later he was seen with Miss Misty hanging flyers of Haleigh. Yet Misty claimed she hadnt seen him since the night Haleigh disappeared ??? She said on the TV show after she was married, that she didnt trust him, and yet she had him over to the house ??? Come on!
I noticed that Ron listens very carefully when she gives answers…its almost as if his heart stops. I think alot of people misread Ron and misread Crystal. I feel sorry for both of them. Nobody deserves to have this happen to them, no matter what kind of parent people think you are. Its clear to see that he and Crystal adore their kids. In the video that his attorney has on the web site, I think that when he hesitates, you see his jaw clench, he looks to the right, he keeps trying to breath and to get ahold of his emotions so he can get out the words he wants to say. (I notice Crystal does the same thing in interviews & appeals to the public) Now back to Ron…I think people need to remember that as a Dad, he knows that the person responsible will be watching too and that Ron has to show strength because that person might be getting a big bang out of the anguish and might give them fuel to hurt Haleigh…if she is still alive.
Also, if she is watching…he is always hoping maybe she might be…he certainly doesnt want his baby girl to see her Daddy crying, because that would make her feel afraid for one thinking he couldnt save her and sad for another simply because this baby girl clearly from all the pictures thinks her Daddy hung the moon and the stars and did it all just for her.
I think thats also the reason Crystal tries so hard not to cry…its to be strong for her baby girl, in case she is watching. Both parents always talk to her, and say if your watching…”Baby, I love you.” I am so sad for both of the parents to be going through what they are. I don’t agree with some of the mistakes they have made in their lives, but they certainly don’t deserve this. I’ve never seen such anguish on TV on a persons face as I’ve seen on Crystals and Ron’s…I pray for them both. They must feel like they are dying inside…a living hell.
Don’t give up Crystal and Ron. Hold on. Alot of people are pulling for you guys. Don’t listen to the hate mongers…they are just scared and worried for little Haleigh. People are human…and humans are passionate…especially for little Haleigh.

There are so many individuals posting here that are hateful and petty as shown by incessant Ron and Misty Bashing.Many of you have displayed an utter failure to keep an open mind about guilt or innocence in Haleigh’s disappearance( even though Art himself is becoming slightly less biased). No one has been charged or named as a POI yet many of you are crying out for Ron and Misty’s head on a platter.
Personally I did see emotion and true devastation in Rons most recent plea for his little girls return. He may not be the modle father but before Kim P scrubbed Crystal up she herself was not and still is not much of a winner. I would not award custody of these children to either bio parent or their immediate families- they all have drug history, arrests, and shady behavior- that by no means says that they do not love their children and do not try to provide for them.

Interesting to read that Misty did meet Ron through Amber, while Amber and Ron were together. Says Misty was their babysitter and she caused problems between the two by telling Ron that Amber left the child with her for long periods of time. Hmmm. Are we sure Amber couldn’t be out for revenge?

But Ron was at work. LE has said he was at work. he did not hurt her before work because people saw her after he was at work. Ron come home a call 911. Rainy, it does seem that Ron is holding back his emotions. I notice that he talks about Haleigh not being at home and he stops he is trying to stay composed and not break down.
He says Haleigh twice and people say he did not use her name. These people are on a quest to convict him because he is different and has a different upbringing. He does not act as they would therefore he is guilty. I do not like this rush to judgement. It is wrong. It does not matter what Ron Cummings does or what LE says, these people will keep this up and this may never be solved. Unless the creep that did it gets caught doing it again and admits he did this. For people to say it is a fact that Ron Cummings did this is ridiculous. If it was a fact he would be in jail. No facts exist that point to Ron Cummings. None. He may not be what most people consider the ideal father, he may not show the best judgement in marrying Misty but that does not make him the killer of his daughter.

Art, have you heard about the incident regarding Misty slapping Jr. in the head at a medical clinic yesterday? Seems that it was witnessed by several people and was reported to LE and DCF. Do you think this might possibly be on the news by Monday? Would there be a police report on that by now? If it’s true, then will this go into the file on the current abuse case?

jerry santos said that ron said he was looking for his girl. He probably was referring to misty cause haleigh attended school that day, he was out looking for misty . However Misty was still off on her adventure to put it nicely. Later Monday she returned to pick up Haleigh off the bus and ron left for work. Just a few hours to patch things up. Im sure there was still alot of angry feelings since they had left off on bad terms.
More so Jerry did a tatoo on ron’s back so they knew each other prior to being neighbors. This Jerry guy seems like when Haleigh went missing that was the last straw for him and ron.

Naples, now saratoga county? What was the last arrest date for Ron Cummings? It was not now. It was years ago. And that temporary order that he violated was dropped by a judge for lack of evidence. This order was dropped prior to the custody court hearing in 2005, that judge also was not interested in the domestic violence claims made by Crystal.
In any case nothing is happening now. This is 2009 is it not? Once again I have to wonder what you are all about and why you are posting misleading posts over and over on this website. This one is not as bad as others as far as being so outlandish. But what reason do you have to twist the facts? Ron Cummings never said his arrests were wrong he has not said anything about this. You are taking what his lawyer posted on his website and then applying that to old charges on his record. The lawyer is not addressing the old record at all. How are you getting there?

I KNOW Cobra will find her, I just think that at this point, he will have find when he is walking on streets of gold, that little angel will run to him arms wide and heart full with love. Cobra she is smiling on you now, knowing you will help bring her justice and peace. those who want her found you fill our heart with hope and gratitude, To the ones who don’t, They know your coming on a white horse and bringing hell with you, so you strike fear in them. This Jerome guy offered to help in finding Haleigh, To me that is a red flag, If someone is guilty or involed in an act that is bc invested the best way to appear innocent to offer help. potrays complete inoocence and co-operation, and he might get lcuky and overhear info from LE. drugdealer can scheme, they hussle for a living!

Art please give me your take on this one and fill in someblanks, How long had Amber and Ron been broke up before MC moved in with RC? I read on a post here that MC use to babysit for RC& AB. can you put the time and pace of of both the girls relationships up? Here is why, I think Misty is and was jealous and possive. She is imature.Took AB man bc she could. She was so giddy right b4 wedding bc it was a f-u to all his ex’s especially AB. childish yes but she is 17. Maybe she did something to Haleigh hoping RC would assume AB was involved since the fighting was so recent. I really think this highschool love triangle has some answers.

1) Have you spoken to PDM, Ron’s former employer, and verified the times Ron punched in and out that night?
If so, can you share these times – or has LE asked you not to?
2) In your conversations, have any of Misty’s family members or Ron’s neighbors verified what time and day Misty arrived back at Ron’s trailer after her wild drug infused weekend? Can you share this date/time with us?
3) Did Gerry Santos or any of Ron’s neighbors see Haleigh playing outside after school?
4) Have Croslin, Sykes, & Cummings family members who ‘witnessed Haleigh playing at 5 pm’ described what she was wearing and was that outfit found in the Ron’s trailer?

As a mother of two girls close to Haleigh’s age, I can tell you that I know all the clothes my girls own and I would be able to figure out for LE which pajamas or outfit was missing if a daughter went missing on a babysitter’s watch.
– Especially if it was PJ’s!
Granted, Haleigh had sets of clothes at mom’s and dad’s homes and there was likely clothing movement between the two homes. However, I have difficulty understanding how Crystal and Ron could not have run clothing inventories at their respective homes, compared notes, and then figured it out what was missing for LE’s search.
re: pedophile theory -
I also don’t LE can completely rule out local pedophiles in this case just yet. Yes, satellite images confirm registered registered sex offenders were not near Ron’s trailer. However, someone (Misty’s dealer?) from the drug netherworld could have snatched Haleigh and then delivered & sold her to a pedophile. The pedophile could have remained at his usual abode. Of course, as you pointed out, there are also the not-yet-caught pedophiles roaming around.
Someone above posted that Ron and Misty were seen fighting outside Grandma’s house. I think that Ron and Misty breaking up would be the big break this case needs.

Gayle-no evidence exists that Ron Cumming’s killed his child. He was at work. LE has said he was at work. Haleigh was in school that day and she was seen by people after he went to work. So is he a magician? I do not understand you reasoning that because Misty did not obey Ron she must be holding something over on him. Misty by the fact that she had an affair does not seem to be under Ronald’s control.
If Misty is involved it does not mean Ronald is. Just because he married her. He may believe she is not involved.
You may not like Ron Cummings or how he lives but it is just wrong to blame him when he was at work. It may turn out a child predator watched Misty and just took Haleigh. It happens.

Just to clarify, I am not posting new information as fact. What my opinion is based on is the actions of Ronald. I think Ronald is involved indirectly, by his actions. Misty has not been cleared and they get married? That is something that usually doesn’t happen, especially if it is what Haleigh would have wanted. IMO, did his lifestyle cause this in anyway? possibly.
Until LE can put the timeline together and get cooperation out of everyone, we will not know.

If you go on to Findhaleigh.com you will find a picture of her the day before her accident that the attorney claims shows no injury. Look at the right side of her face if you are facing her. It CLEARLY shows the entire side of her face had been injured and was healing the day before the play ground accident. Am I crazy or does anyone else see this?

What i posted i got off the article in the Jacksonville news. Re: in my own words so as not to copy and paste with a link. I should have used IMO when i said that it looked like Misty caused problems with Amber and Ron when she was a babysitter for Amber and Rons(?) child. I thought, in the beginning, I had read or heard something about a repairman being at Ron’s home the day of Haleigh’s disappearance. I know that LE would have questioned him but does anyone know the time of his visit and the length and results of his stay? Wouldn’t the repairman be able to say who was in the home at the time he was there? Does he recall seeing Haleigh, Jr., Misty, Ron or anyone else? Did he use the back door? I would think that the repairman might be of some help in determining a timeline. Hopefully he kept written records of his visit and time spent. I would like to know what the repairman had to say, if anything. JMO

I cant understand why anybody would offer Cobra any financial support in this case.
He came riding into Satsuma like a cowboy in a white hat, claiming that he was working pro bono. Doesn’t pro bono mean that he’s working for free? So if that’s what Cobra is doing, working pro bono he should not be out on the internet begging for money and other means of support. Because that negates the pro bono he likes to claim he is doing on this case.
Why is it that CNN and other reputable news networks aren’t allowing Cobra to appear live? They hardly even talk about him. Other than your site, Art, the only other places I see Cobra discussed are on blogger networks, most of which are based overseas and have horrible reputations.
Is it because all of these networks are onto Cobra? That they know he is nothing more than a media whore and trying to use the fact that a sweet little girl is missing and a family is in pain for his own personal benefit?
And he is by the way. Cobra is trying to exploit this case to a degree that makes my skin crawl. He has hired a guy to write songs about him and he expects to have an album produced. And he is working on a movie deal with Reverend Grund. He was overheard discussing his movie deal while visiting satsuma- how in the world can Cobra focus on finding Haleigh when he is busy trying to promote himself?
Seriously Cobra. Your fifteen minutes of fame are over. If you can’t afford to stay, go home. Contact some more producers and agents and see if you can sell your story. I doubt they’ll bite though because right now your credibility is as muddy as Dunns Creek.

Right now, Haleigh’s whole family is packed in an old pickup truck driving hours to the National Vigil for Hope to pray for the safe return of Haleigh and other missing children. Art, Something has been bothering me. Somewhere in court records of custody hearing it states that Ron took the kids to Texas and Mexico. Do you know where in Texas or Mexico ? That is a very long trip for him to make with 2 small children. If in fact he did go did he work? Who watched the kids ? If he didn’t work then who paid for this trip ? I believe it said he was gone for six weeks.

Wow, over three months and no closer to finding Haleigh, this is just killing me, said more prayers in church today, hoping God will now help us to find Haleigh, hang in their cobra, the man upstairs is watching you and proud that you and Art are doing all that you can!!! Im hoping there will be more searches coming soon, I could never give up looking if it were my child, I would go to the ends of the earth!!! I don’t think either parent took or killed haleigh, and am not convinced shes passed. I do think both parents have let their children down in sooo many ways, and I think that BOTH parents have been incredibly selfish and meanspirited since she disappeared, crystal moreso than ron, because I know he could have caused a major stink over her seizures, and demanded tox screens since shes brought up so much trash about him (many proven false repeatedly), yet he’s not once even commented about them. he’s got his own set of issues, and has hardly conducted himself appropriately since this all happened, but I think those who don’t think they share the resp for this mess are either incredibly naïve or too bullheaded to call a spade a spade. no one is perfect, and both have exhibited abhorent behavior mixed in with a total lack of class or conscience.

I just listened to the audio download of Simon Barrett’s interview today with Art, Cobra, and TJ Hart. The replay link is below.

Below is some info mentioned during Simon Barrett’s radio show that I thought was interesting.
1) Reporter TJ Hart advised that two credible sources have placed Ron, on Haleigh’s last day of school, in a neighboring town, Crescent City before he went to work. The sources advised that Ron had a heated exchange with a woodcutter and a couple of woodcutter’s co-horts. Ron was heard insisting that the woodcutter owed him money.
2) None of the reporters / Cobra have actual confirmed times of when Ron showed up for work and what time Ron left work. They just know that he did work that night and and he did eat a meal in the cafeteria during his break.
However…
Cobra confirmed that a store surveillance camera filmed Ron after his shift at a convenience store at 2:30 am.
Cobra stated that the convenience store is only a 5 minute drive from Ron’s trailer.
However, Ron reportedly did not arrive home until 3:00 am.
(This 3 am time is confimed in the police report and is as per Misty’s initial account she gave the police).
Then Ron and Misty did not make the 911 call until 3:27 am.
Conclusions:
– Ron’s has 25 mins of unaccounted time from 2:30-3:00 am.
– Ron and Misty have about 25 mins. of unexplained delay in calling 911. They both need to explain why they later changed their story to: Ron arrived home at 3:20 am.
2) Cobra advised that Johnny Sheffield, Crystal’s father, is a former marine and former deputy sherriff. Per Cobra, Johnny is the only family member on either side that is actively searching for Haleigh, be it on his own or with Cobra. Today, Johnny, despite sickness and a fever, went searching for Haleigh at a new site. Johnny is a straight shooter and helped raise Haleigh before Ron stole Haleigh from Crystal. Johnny just wants his little granddaughter back.
3) LE has not been able to find a witness who saw Misty outside of Ron’s trailer that night.
4) When a caller asked if Misty was on drugs / doing drugs that night, Cobra replied that Art and Cobra do know something about Misty’s activities that night, but LE has asked them not to release the info.
5) Art confirmed that Haleigh did have two breathing machines, one at Crystal’s and one at Ron’s. The breathing machine at Crystal’s is still there. LE was very focused on locating the breathing machine that was in Ron’s trailer. Art and Cobra do not know if LE ever successfully located that second breathing machine.
6) Cobra advised that he and LE haved been looking into every person with a motive (per Cobra – “there are lots of them!”) and single lead. Cobra found that in his investigation, other than Ron and Misty, all the other suspects have ultimately been ruled out for one reason or another.
7) Cobra advised that known sex offenders cannot be ruled out yet just because LE knows their whereabouts within 100 yards due to the ankle tracking bracelets they wear. There is a 15 min. time delay in the tracking system, so LE can miss movements. The tracking also does not function well if the ankle bracelets are near bodies of water. Moreover, Cobra’s own girlfriend was kidnapped by a man out on bond who had successfully removed his ankle bracelet.
9) LE is still focusing on filling in the holes and ironing out inconsistancies in Misty’s timeline.

The principles aren’t talking and we all want information. Should we be so tough on those who are willing to share? Surely we can evaluate their words in a rational fair minded way without slamming them so hard?

Although I’d give a lot to see Croslin’s cell records from that night. Since they’re not public, lots of otherwide good theories by armchair detectives come to a dead halt.

Maybe, this week will be different. I don’t think some people realize the effort and “heart” that Art, Cobra and TJ put into this. It is hard to believe that this little girl’s life in so meaningless to some. This family is so unbelievably disfuntional, the children do not have a chance. We should all pray for them. I don’t understand how law enforcement could be so inept. I keep thinking they are laying low and will pounce on the person that did this. I am going to pray for law enforcement or Cobra to get to the bottom of this. Maybe, some of them are afraid of Ron and his peeps. It is so sad, all of it. llisa (r’s mil?), why do you care about what I say? IMO, the tape was not showing a grieving father. The tape protrayed him as someone who thought it was more funny doing the tape than the concern for his daughter. IMO, he could have put a little more “heart” into what he was trying to say instead of talking like a zombie and trying to hold back smiles.

Reading this reminded me that I had read somewhere that Haleigh had missed a lot of school and had been tardy a large number of times. It is quite possible that the school had put Ron on notice that Haleigh could not miss any more school without a doctor’s note, and could not be late again, or the school would have to take some sort of action against Ron. Maybe could be the reason Ron was in such a panic that morning when he nearly ran over people.
My theory is that whoever was in charge of getting Haleigh up and off to school often overslept, causing Haleigh to be late, or to miss school altogether. It makes sense that Misty, if she was charged with getting Haleigh off to school, overslept once again after her previous long weekend of partying. Maybe she wan’t home yet. At any rate, Ron was running late and angry that morning, thus his display of aggressive driving that nearly caused someone to get hurt.
I don’t think the kids were being well cared-for by Ron and Misty. Ron relied on Misty, and she wasn’t always reliable. Wheher this turns out to have anything whatever to do with Haleigh’s disappearance is anyone’s guess, but I hope the police have looked into Haleigh’s school attendance.

Thank you Mr. Harris, for investigating and reporting the facts on the Haleigh Cummings Case. You are appreciated! I, like many others, have been following this case. There are many twists and turns in this case. The family dynamics, which appears to have extreme enmeshment qualities without clear bounderies, seems to always have some sort of a tragic out come. What do the Cummings, Crosslin’s, Sheffields, Griffis’s , extended family and friends not have in common, except for their names? Why was Ron Jr. left in the home while his sister was taken? Did the abductor not consider that Ron Jr. might have been an eye witness to the abduction or kidnapping of his sister? There have been property transfers within the families that have unusual names, not common in the U.S. It makes me wonder, what in the world these people have been in to, and just how far they will go to get what they want or cover their back sides?

Why the looooooooong, drawn out “re-caps” with your own opinion of what the story meant inserted. For instance “Ron stole Haleigh from Crystal.” Please explain specifically what you mean by that statement, as all of us have, by now, certainly had access to the court records whereby 3 DIFFERENT JUDGES deemed Crystal unfit to have custody of her children. You also sound a lot like you’re probably Johnny Sheffield’s wife, since you insist on inserting his glowing characteristics. Star_bright (aka someone in crystal’s family, obviously), your posts are so one-sided that a lot of us no longer read them. many of us don’t think ron’s family is perfect (he’ll never receive father of the year), but your assertion that they don’t care about haleigh simply because they didn’t choose to attend an event with crystal’s family after crystal and marie have jabbed, prodded, and accused to the point of causing major friction between them is just plain ignorant. if they wanted to take attention from haleigh, that’s exactly what they would have done, because I doubt it would have gone smoothly with the queen of the WWE in attendance and taking aim at the Cummings. how do you know they didn’t have their own vigil for her rather than causing a circus-like atmosphere at yet another “fundraising opportunity” attended by the sheffields?? you don’t. i cant stand the thought of ron cummings, but posts like yours make the rest of us feel the need to point out the obvious, which is that your posts are meant only to intice and incite. there is nothing in your posts that is designed to help with the haleigh investigation…just more mudslinging and cattle prodding. congratulations.

incorrect. because no one knows for sure the exact time she went missing, lots of people, including the media, use the date of the 9th, which is the last time anyone saw her. she was reported missing in the wee morning hours of the 10th, but was last allegedly seen at 10PM on the 9th. I think maybe you’re trying to make something where there is nothing.

Janet # 153 asks some of the same question I have. Why would Ron take two babies to Texas so he could take them to Mexico on vacation? You just don’t do this. The Mexican border towns of Texas are not where you need to take babies. I am a Texan and never took a small child to Mexico, can’t even remember any friends doing that. Has the baby sitter been checked out? Lot’s of good hiding places, it’s a big state & can only think of two reasons to take babies across the border. Dang let me think! mmmmmmmmm! Check it out, the A/C repairman was immediately interviewed, Jeff Hardy’s confirmation to the media back in February, the A/C man had been extensively interviewed, and given a polygraph. Though they don’t release the results of those tests, Hardy says he’s not considered a suspect.

I think Ron is an abusive person hooked on drugs who lost it on his daughter. He married Misty to keep her quiet and as a thank you for covering up for him…I think he’s kissing her ass royally now and she knows it. I think the crime happened at a different time then first reported as he had to make time to hide her…
Also,,I think Art should begin to investigate the police departments and social workers etc. Why Ron had custody of those children is beyond me and the authorities know more then what is being led on. I just dont understand why the cops in Florida cannot find these children….Too many druggies, too many deals and the children are getting murdered becauase of it. Put them behind bars and keep them there!

I have to agree with this. My first gut instinct was that he quit talking and can’t look at the camera because something (his need to keep his “macho” image in tact – his need to make sure Haleigh doesn’t see him upset – something) makes him want to keep it in check. There are those here that just HAVE to see and say anything and everything negative (wither real or imagined) about Ron (when clearly, enough exists that there’s no need to make things up or be creative with the truth), and it truly does detract from any credibility you would have had. If only you’d realize that, and try to stick with opinions if there’s no proof otherwise.

Art, I think we all know that you and Cobra arent joined at the hip or anything. You are just 2 men with a heart for this little child and each doing what you are best at. I think “undone” is just that…keep your chin up. Nobody is tarninshing your credibility. I think that Cobra is getting to close to the finish line and making people nervous. He will find her. Theres going to be alot of swamp stink on alot of people that won’t wash off. ewww. Whats that old saying, a house divided against itself won’t stand….stay united Art & Cobra and TJ Hart too. To Sandeana #165, go buy a magazine to read about Brittany Spears etc. This little Haleigh isnt in any magazines, only Art is keeping the porch lights on for her. HE is her voice right now. All those “starts” have their own publicity spceialists and arent forgotten. ART is Haleilghs Publicist and she is a little child that is lost and afraid. Theres lots of big bad wolves in the world. #89 Jen – What you said about Rainy possibly not being an American. I have several foreign friends who write to me. Their English, grammar and punctuation is much better than the average American. It is far more correct than most of what appears on this site.
#164 Braindead – I have also noticed that IMO, Crystal and her very tough-looking mom do not seem distressed (for real) about Haleigh’s disappearance. Crystal is putting on this awful, just sad act and is trying hard to cry with some strange noises but no tears. Crystal needs acting lessons. I don’t think Ron’s home is a fit place for children either. We should remember that Mark Luncsford, Jessie’s dad, was accused of harming her in the beginning. It was very hard to have her missing and then have that ridicule forced upon him, he said.

I have been reading everyone’s Post’s and I also Listened to The Program Re: Cobra, and everyone! I Know that Cobra and Art, Look at these Post all the time, Which is a good thing, Maybe I can get some answers here. I have a Hypothesis here, and A Question among many Questions!! Like every one else! I get that Haleigh arrived at School By way of Ronald, And I get that Misty Picked her up!What I don’t get is at what time span did Ronald go to the woodcutters and Argue about money owed, and what time did he leave for work! Because if Misty went out that weekend before, and Maybe he was rushing around trying to fine her that morning, that he was speeding around the area, before School, Maybe When he Slipped and Said Haleigh was missing he Probably Misty was missing, and he was Out looking for her, Later on that day, after the woodcutter’s conflict, I think Misty and Ronald had a fight, and Poor Haleigh got in the way, Ronald Killed Haleigh, Maybe by accident, But he Done it, and Misty being Stupidly Young and in LOVE, Stood by her man, and they plain ed for misty to covered it all up, while he was at work, no one to the wiser!!! Ronald Does get home with in the 5 minute span from that store, Misty tells him she put Haleigh in the Dumpster, Ronald than, with a fit of anger towards Misty, tells her She’s Stupid putting her there, Because they;d Be looking there, so he takes, what ever she has her wrapped in and Hides her someplace quickly and does away with her at some point in time down the time line some place.
Than Misty threatens Ronald into Marriage, and to keep her quiet, he Marries her, { As He Didn’t Look to Happy about it.} And Mama, Knows about what happened, Don’t want to see her Baby Boy, go to Jail, so she Tells him he’d better Marry her to keep her lips from talking. Only Thing is – Now He has to keep her happy! You watch!! She is Young and wants more out of life than Ronnie boy has to offer, and she wants to run the roads with this guy and that guy! Ron’s going to have his hands full. My Guess is Ronald is going to want out of this marriage at some point, or Misty, Ronald will find away to do away with Misty, So she wont talk. If – IF, He doesn’t hurt Jr, In the Proses, durning an argument with her, Like what MIGHT Have Happened to Little Haleigh! –

Jenia #85, if there was enough evidence to remove Jr. from Rons home after a 60+ day intense investigation, they would have already done so. Perhaps DHS saw the “evidence” the same way Nancy Grace and the rest of us saw it…smoke and mirrors, with a whole lot of un-truths thrown in for good measure. Granted, Ron’s not what I’d call a “Ward-Cleaver-kind-of-dad,” but my guess is that DHS has had to choose the lesser of two evils with Jr’s parents, and since Ron lives with his Grandmother, and she lends stability and a safe home environment, they see no need to make a change. Doesn’t matter how much Ron and Misty (see how I say their names without having to call them Rontard and Musty? So much more mature!) party – which they’ll eventually end up getting busted for – as long as Great-G-ma Sykes keeps them from anywhere around that environment while they do it. They will self-implode at some point from all their “activities.” The point is to keep Jr. safe, and with his great grandmother, apparently DHS thinks he IS safe, or he’d already have been removed as high profile as this case has become. I’m not defending them or their actions, partciularly since I don’t approve of them, but this is reality. And let’s face it, how well would Jr. fare in a home with another violent offender, another couple living out of wed-lock, and if rumor is true, 2 MORE children, in addition to the other child between Crystal and Chad, AND Crystal not working? I’m thinking the taxpayers and donators are already paying for enough of their living expenses.

Now that everyone on here is permitted to speak their truth, I am compelled to speak mine.
Art, there’s a whole lot that was said on the blog talk radio that couldn’t be said. There was some tongue in cheek comments by yourself as well as Cobra. I got it. I absorbed everything and I didn’t need to hear it twice to understand now. You both have trusted members (sources) in LE. That’s rather clear who’s working their tales off on the case and who isn’t.
I’d like to say, I like Cobra Mr. Art, he’s real. He doesnt sugar-coat this BS at all. I understand some cannot relate to the Hillbilly speak. That’s okay. Some get it and some won’t and be offended by his colorful language. I grew up with some of this sort of hillbilly culture- so I do know Cobra is on the up and up. I just feel it in my bones. And you all noticed that he hushed up something Art was about to say real quick like. I understand why. I need not say more of what I feel is the truth. I am comfortable with that.
Art, you’re so right when you say everyone here cares about this little peanut so much. I think we all can agree thats why we are here- we ache to know that this child did not fall hands to what happened to Caylee and so many other little ones. We fear her fate so deeply that it eats at most of us. I go to bed thinking about the whole thing. Try to stay the course, but at the same time, give Cobra some credibility in the mix. Even if he isnt the one to break it wide open, he surely is a big part of finding out the who & what & why. I visit a site called Eyes for lyes Art and this guy is right on the money. Cobra is too, give him a chance. In the end we are all going to learn he was right about the “boogy man”. Thank you again Art for being such a voice of reason on the talk show. Kim wants Cobra off the case? Why? Who was Cobra talking about when he said he thinks someone else not Johnny Sheffield but he thinks someone else took her for the same reason? Cobra was taking up the whole interview and I do not like how he acts with Art. If Cobra brought Kim in, it takes a lot of nerve from her to want him off.

I still would like the shift hours for PDM bridge, Art can’t you get the normal shift hours for PDM. I do not think it matters what time Misty told LE, Misty can’t get anything right and does not understand how important time is or how important anything she says is. She probably just guess because she said she seen 3 on the clock. I would like to know what time that shift ends. Even if Ron was at a store at 2:30 and I am not taking Cobra’s word for that, he could have talked to someone or stopped somewhere before he came home. I thought I read that PDM shift ended at 3?

Art I hope that is true. It does seem Cobra has influenced your thinking on this case. Did you hear Ron Cumming’s say that he married Misty to keep his enemies close? Have you been able to confirm that Sapp was at the home and watched her on the trampoline or did you hear TN say that yourself?
Do you know what car Ron bought or if he traded in his new truck?

Love your site. Very happy that you are keeping the search for Haleigh alive. With that said, something strange hit me after reading at your site yesterday.
I noticed in Ron Cummings arrest records, he was ALSO bailed out by “CHUCK’S BAIL BONDS” (see below) This “Chuck” a registered sex offender, correct? Where would Nay Nay, Amber, Jerome & even Ron come up with not just the 10% cash, but also the collateral for the rest of the bail????
I think someone should check out this “Chuck” a whole lot more closely. I guess what is odd is, Nay Nay & Amber were BOTH PO’ed at (the very least) Misty & probably Ron too. Nay Nay for Misty telling Ron about their weekend & Amber for saying she has her man is coming for her baby too (or something like that). Maybe these two got stoned & decided to take Haleigh & trade her off to Chuck???? Just a thought, I hope someone will at least check out.

I listened to the interview mentioned in comments. It is very interesting that Kim Picazio wants Cobra off the case.
It makes me wonder if someone on that side of the family is involved and she does not want Cobra to find out. She has said LE has not even searched Crystal’s house and they do not suspect Crystal. But Cobra said (when asked if Marty Sheffield) should be a suspect because he maybe would wish to protect Haliegh, Cobra said he suspects someone else on that side of taking her for those reasons. That and Kim wanting him off the case makes me wonder.
I also have thought people are to hard on Ron. He give a short video clip asking for Help looking for Haleigh and thanking everyone, he talks to Haleigh and people say he has no emotion, he does not mention Haleigh (he did twice)
by name.
Yet in her most recent interview Crystal did not say Haleigh once, did not talk to Haleigh, Crystal’s main concern was that people on the Internet should not talk about her if they do not know her. It was all about Crystal and not about Haleigh. That does not surprise me, I mean her daughter has been missing and she is excited to be starting a new career at Haleighbug? Imagine if the father did anything like what Crystal has done. He is being crucified and she gets away with murder. The media let her lie over and over on national television until Nancy Grace had the nerve to call her on some of her lies. Good for Nancy, more should have done so.

Gayle, Ron says Haleigh on just about every interview he gives. In the one on the website he uses her name to speak directly to her and also in reference to her as his child.
It is not your opinion. You state it as fact. You wrote that Ron does not say Haleigh’s name. That is incorrect.
It is not an opinion. It is an incorrect misleading post.
The one who did not even mention her daughter in her last interview was the mother. Bio Mom (perfect for her)

Have you investigated why Chad Griffis (Crystal’s baby daddy/Crystal’s step-brother of 6 years) had an Injunction For Protection Against Domestic Violence With Minor Children filed against him by his ex, Helen?
What is the usual period of time for an Injunction of this kind?
This one in effect from May 10, 2006 until November 26, 2008. That is over two years. Funny I haven’t read anything about Mr. Chad Griffis’ abusive background.
Imagine if he is violent with his own two children, what would he do to Ron’s two innocent babies when they were with Mommy of the year and her baby daddy/step-brother.

Do you know why she wasn’t paying her child support?

Spoke with two others at bus stop who confirm it.

Three sets of parents also told cops it was Misty, not Ron or Teresa who picked up Haleigh.

Art, what do you think about the following?
1. Crystal claims Ron was abusing their children – What did she do about it?
2. Crystal didn’t pay her court ordered Child Support, wasn’t she worried if her children were going to be fed, clothed, have a roof over their heads, pay for their doctor’s visits and medications?
3. Crystal knew that her children were being left with this 17 year old girl when Ron went to work. I mean if she was so worried about this 17 year old girl caring for her kids and since she didn’t have a job, did she try to work out something with Ron as to her maybe moving closer so she could watch over her children while he was working?
4. Crystal wasn’t worried about her children being around Chad and his background with regards to domestic violence? From the Court Dockets it seems the Domestic Violence Injunction she tried to file against Ron was made by her when Ron was out of state with the children. And dismissed by the courts. Chad had an Injunction against him for over 2 years, I mean seems the man that’s had an Injunction against him for Domestic Violence for over 2 years would be more dangerous around her children than the man she filed a false claim against. Right?

I agree with you to a point, but Nancy Grace and JVM are also unfair to Ron.
I can’t watch NG anymore, she makes my skin crawl. She doesn’t need guests on her show, because her opinion is the only side you hear.
I used to love her but the Caylee Anthony Case and the way she puts Leonard Padilla out there like he is some kind of Anthony expert makes me furious. This man is nothing but a liar and she knows it and she still puts him on.
I cannot wait until the transcipt of his deposition comes out. The defense are going to have fun with him and all the lies he told, you know he can’t remember all of them.

I know you have listened to the 911 call over and over again.
I have also, and I know you probably won’t agree with me, but to me when Misty is talking she sounds like someone that has just woken up.
We all know the way someone sounds when they have been asleep and I think Misty sounds like that.
Let me ask you this also, I know everyone says Misty uses/used drugs, do you know if the police took blood and urnine samples from her that night? I don’t know if that is done in such cases.
But, just give Misty the benefit of the doubt for a minute ok. If there was a man at the house that night, do you think she could have been slipped something? If they had taken blood and urine from her they could have ran a toxic screen to see exactly what she did have in her system.

Have you, Cobra, and/or LE checked out John C. Neves, Teresa Neves’s Exhusband? There seems to be a old battery/spouse abuse incident on his records toward TN. Divorced in 2007 he married someone else a couple of months later. Just wondering if he has been checked yet.

I believe what he means by that is Haleigh was not taken in a custody battle so do not assume she was. Because the focus needs to be on finding her, not on his lifestyle or Crystal’s lifestyle. This is his worst nightmare I believe. His child is missing and all everyone cares about is how he lived his life and how Crystal lost custody. Taking the focus off his missing child. Crystal in doing what she has I feel has shown a total lack of sense as far as her kids are concerned. She has put her needs above those of Haleigh and Haliegh is missing. She should be able to put Haleigh Cummings first. If she felt so badly Junior was in danger, she could have asked DFS to investigate without putting it on every news program that would allow it. The focus can’t go back it seems, to finding Haleigh. Now that the mother has put it on the father and herself. It is sad.

New York–Even Kim Picazio who specializes in family and custody issues says it takes ALOT to permanently take a child from his or her parents, and often, even if there’s some abuse but the child isn’t considered in imminent danger, a judge will leave the child with the borderline parent and order anger management, counseling, drug testing and other parental rehab rather than severe the ties.

LE, if you’re reading this, I strongly suggest you track down persons who post negative comments about Crystal. My guess is that you’ll find some Cummings and Croslins who are trying to throw off everyone off track (similar to Casey and her Zanny the nanny accusations).

Does anyone remember what this is all about?
Haleigh, a beautiful 4 year old baby abducted from her home. There was NO custody battle until Geraldo Rivera started a rift between the two families. Then, all of a sudden, four new people show up in the picture. An attorney for Crystal, a PI/Bounty Hunter , one radio news reporter and Art Harris. The focus was taken off of a missing child for more than we know.IMO
The bio mother is making more money than she ever has in her life. She now has a business, which is illegal. Is she a loving mother who pays child support? NO. Why is her new found wealth more important than her own daughter? This is despicable. IMO
It is more important for some to make a circus out of a missing baby. I have to ask myself why? What is in it for the rest of the cast of characters. I hope you take this the way it is meant.IMO
Did Haleigh’s mother sign a contract for future revenue from book and movie deals? The acting lessons are not working well. You can see right through the fake tear and passing out. I have to ask myself. What kind of mother would want to cause so much conflict to take the focus off of her missing daughter? IMO
Haleigh does not seem to matter with some of these characters. Please, have some decency and put a beautiful baby back in the headlines, Haleigh. Thank you. All IMO, of course. Be well

1. Why would Cobra say he has it narrowed down to ten people. That someone on Crystal’s side he thinks may have done this but then accuse Ron and Misty.
2. Art have you been able to confirm what Cobra says about the store at 2:30 or did Cobra get that from this website.
3.Why would Ron Cummings want to go to a vigil when the press has treated him like dirt. When Marie Griffis is speaking about Haleigh. Marie is making a buck off Haleigh as is Crystal. They will get salaries from Haleighbug the non profit and begin their new “careers”. It was not legal for Crystal to take money for Haleigh but she found a way to do so.
4.If Kim Picasio and Crystal believed Junior was being beaten bloody and thrown down stairs they would have been in court yesterday. If DFS found this to be the case they would take Junior away. Beaten Bloody, thrown down stairs?
Kim Picazio lied just like she lied about the black eye.
Lets not forget Crystal lives with Chad and he has a protective order for violence with minor children in place 2006-2008. So maybe Junior should go to another relative.

PDM did not want Ron back. If they did they could have called him. Told him he needed to fill out the paperwork.
I think they did not want the media attention. They did not want a crane operator with a drug history and with everyone saying he was currently using drugs. I think there is a good chance they PDM are lying here. Ron’s lawyer should have had Ron get something in writing. Because without it PDM would know they could do whatever they wanted. Companies do it all the time and PDM would know that people are not going to believe Ron Cumming’s. They should be ashamed.

Sometimes actions, or lack thereof, speak louder than words. These two are lying up to their eyeballs about the night Haleigh vanished. I agree with the poster who said this le department should be investigated. Time and time again we see Ronald get by, with no arrests/dropped charges, yet everyone else gets thrown in the slammer….can we say CORRUPTION together? How long does Haleigh have to wait? Wasn’t her five years on this planet important enough to demand the truth? For months we saw residents/people picketing outside the Anthony home, why is no one in Satsuma doing that to Ron and his childbride? Is it so okay in the eyes of those residents that there is no need to demand justice for Haleigh? What a bunch of cowards, the whole lot of them! I pray for the day that Haleigh will be found and Ronald and Fibsy are hauled off to jail and throw away the key.

It’s just that since day one I’ve always heard it reported that Haleigh was discovered/reported missing on the 10th & last seen on the 9th (not went missing on the 9th). RC’s attorney should have worded what he said differently (& not have said that she went missing on the 9th since we don’t know exactly when she went missing). Most attorneys pay close attention to how they word statements, especially when on a case that has gained national attention. I guess I was pointing out that RC’s attorneys can’t be that competent. Although, anyone can see that from reading their press releases.

Cobra needs to quit saying Ron spent money for the search on rings (that his mom handed down), Vehicles (that he did not buy), Trips (that were paid for by others). The Haleigh Cumming’s Family Relief fund was just what it says it is. Relief for Haleigh’s family. Set up by Watts because Ron could not work. It was not for a search for Haleigh.
Cobra should look to HaleighBug if he wants money for searching. The HaleighBug website says all money goes to Crystal for her expenses. But they clearly made it seem like the money was going to search for Haleigh. I wonder what expenses Crystal has since she did not work. Most people support Crystal. This site is actually one of the more fair sites, believe it or not. So Crystal has probably collected 20 times more that Ron. Also, because people think when they donated to HaleighBug it goes to searching for Haleigh.
Are you being funny Art? Marie Griffis is at that vigil to promote haleighbug her business as they have called it.
Why should Ron go? Crystal and Marie have hit the lotto and I doubt they would go if they had not.

I had to chuckle when I read your post. I’d have to say that being as Art is a world class investigative reporter, he’s really wasted on celeb-gossip –especially when Howard Stern, Birkhead and Oj, etc have done NOTHING NEWSWORTHY since all concluded their legal battles. But, you could catch a break if Howard murders someone –or someone kidnaps Larry’s baby. THAT would give Art something to investigate.
(Do you really see Art w/a camera peeking into somebody’s bedroom window?) I don’t.
When you are (also) an in-depth investigative journalist, you don’t cover a multitude of stories. It simply isn’t practical if you’re going to do justice to the “inside scoop” of complex cases. For every post Art makes –there is DAYS of interviewing, tracking people down, playing phone tag and getting to the people who refuse to talk to the cops –or anyone else. It takes time to establish relationships, build key contacts, etc.
Besides, I think Art really takes this particular case very seriously; I think Haleigh touched his heart –and he’s genuinely working night and day to bring her home. Whatever her condition.
And besides, Joan and Melissa -and now Lisa Rinna have got the Red Carpet shows monopolized.

Great job Art and Diane Art said he left message with Ron’s lawyer about Vigil and I believe what Art says but even if his lawyer failed to tell him, it was an advertised event I knew about it a week before so as her father it looks like he would keep up to date on things like that and even if Misty didn’t want him there around Crystal he should have gone anyway, this child belongs to RON AND CRYSTAL not Misty,bottom line he and his family should have been there IMO. I don’t think Ronald has a case against PDM. No matter what the circumstances, you should keep in touch with your employer or it will be considered abandonment. If you are ill, you are required to let them know when you will return or be released from the doctor. If that changes, you contact them. All it took was a phone call from Ronald.
The fact that Teresa said on National TV that Ronald was not worried about his job and he could get another one…imo points to the fact that he really didn’t care.
It is just common courtesy to keep your employer up-to-date. Is an employer suppose to assume?

Just because someone copies and pastes other’s information, it does not mean it is fact. Things have been said here numerous times, not by one, but by several ppl that live in the area.
If you don’t like what someone posts, skip over it. No need to put others down because you don’t like what they say. This is a blog of opinions. I haven’t come on here and said I saw Ronald and Misty do this or Crystal do that, as some have done. I am not there and I have based my opinion on what I have read from here or in the news.
Ronald and Teresa not knowing about the vigil? I don’t think that is true IMO. It was in the news. It was nationwide and for all missing children. Even the family of Trenton Duckett were there.
L.L – a lot of ppl copy and paste a comment they want to address so that the person does not have to scroll back. IMO, there are a lot of name changes on here. There have been posters that have stated things as fact and they were not addressed. Why is that? New names and on the attack of certain bloggers?

I thought, in the beginning, I had read or heard something about a repairman being at Ron’s home the day of Haleigh’s disappearance. I know that LE would have questioned him but does anyone know the time of his visit and the length and results of his stay? Wouldn’t the repairman be able to say who was in the home at the time he was there? Does he recall seeing Haleigh, Jr., Misty, Ron or anyone else? Did he use the back door? I would think that the repairman might be of some help in determining a timeline. Hopefully he kept written records of his visit and time spent. Check it out, the A/C repairman was immediately interviewed, Jeff Hardy’s confirmation to the media back in February, the A/C man had been extensively interviewed, and given a polygraph. Though they don’t release the results of those tests, Hardy says he’s not considered a suspect.

Of course, at this point in time, nobody has been formally named a suspect, so I agree with that portion of your post. I also agree that the A/C person would have been interviewed, although I used the word “questioned” in my post. I apologize if that confused you. The point of my post was to see if there had been any knowledge gained from the repairman during his interview that may have assisted in establishing an answer to the propped open back door and a much-needed timeline. Who and what the repairman may have or may not have seen and done might be of great value in this case. Do you have any information to offer in that respect? Do you know if someone other than LE interviewed the repairman? Do you know if anyone witnessed the repairman’s visit? Do you know who called for the repairman and for what reason? Do you know the company the repairman was from? Do you know his name?

Got a question. What does John Merchant have to do with this case? His name was mentioned on the today show by Ron Cummings; and Ron seemed to know him well. JM has been rumord to be a narc in Putnam county for a couple years now. I’ve heard his name in connection with some drug busts; and am curious if this case is about drug dealing on a bigger scale. Is it possible that Haleigh was taken by some drug peddlers in revenge for something Ron did? I had dismissed this before, but now wondering if this is where all the drug players are coming from.

I have read about this so called breathing machine that was supposedly taken from Ronald’s house . Are we referring to an aerosol machine which is to help breathing become more easier. If that is the machine that is being mentioned she has to be registered to receive the medicine to go with . I have had a good 5-6 years experience dealing with that and the stuff that goes into it . Or are you all referring to the nebulizer that you push down with your fingers , in which case is more easier to get through doctors than the other is. If Haleigh was diagnosed with asthma , then it would depend on how severe it was , which she could out grow it as all four of mine had . I do give the puffers to mine but only when needed .
Also regarding the heart murmur , I don’t think it’s a very serious case considering the doctor would of found that at birth and would of done something for it when first born into this world . All four of mine have heart murmurs and as far as I can recall they did one test upon each of my kids and nothing became of it . It just gives them a little bit of irregular heart beat . One thing that needs to be watched where murmurs are concerned is sleep apnea . I have one that has sleep apnea and that can be scary at times especially when it goes down to 23 for heart rate.
Art and Cobra , I think you are doing a great job considering what you got to work with . And for those that are nit picking about what is being said or done in the media then how’s about those that find conflicts to go out and write your own story regarding this and see what’s being said in done in the long run . Bet you would all see the same as what is being said in response to Art and Cobra’s intake of it all . Did that make sense ??? It sounds better in my head than it did on here . JMO anyways for what it’s worth .

Marilee….Your theory is one I thought of long ago. I too, LISTENED and heard Ron was put on notice for her being late & absent from school too much. He sped by to get her to the school faster. Even earlier for once than the bus. Or he was so “out of it” he didn’t realize the bus was there.

I find it disturbing that some want to know why Ron and family didn’t attend the “vigil” put on by Michelle Bart, the Anthonys and company…huh? I would never associate with any of those people, and media coverage of their events is bleak at best, and ridiculed at worst. IIRC, the Cummings’ asked these people to leave when they showed up in Satsuma trying to create their own media blitz, and were told to go back to Orlando and take care of their own business. Everyone knows what the Anthonys are about, IMO. We’ve watched their lies unfold on national television for almost a year now. Would I want to put myself or my child on the same stage as them? Never.
The Cummings family holds vigils all the time for Haleigh in Welaka–does Crystal attend? I can answer that–NO.
So why the double standard? That was a rhetorical question which doesn’t require an answer, I think we all know why there is a double standard. So use whatever reason it takes to help you sleep better at night, but it’s still hypocritical.
Something I think we all need to keep in mind is that THIS (both the Sheffields and the Cummings) is Haleigh’s family–these are the people she loves and who love her. I am not asking you to respect them and their choices, but at least have some sort of consideration for Haleigh’s sake and stop looking at everything as though it were some sinister and evil plot.
A precious child is missing–THAT and only THAT is the focus.

Phaysithong, who appears to be from Laos, turned around and borrowed $250,000.00 against the property sold by Sykes/MCloon. Just because a person doesn’t act the way you think he should. Even if he is a creep or an ahole and I do not know that he is but it seems like he may be one. Does not mean he killed his kid. When Cobra blames Ron and Misty and then says if he locked up ten people he would have the person that did this. That says to me that Cobra has no idea who did this and it could even be someone that is not in his top ten. He does not know. Then he said that he thinks it is someone that did it for the same reasons that Johnny Sheffeild would have if he had done this. Meaning I suppose that he also suspects someone on Crystal’s side of the family. Kim Picazio want him off the case and to me that would make me wonder if it was someone in that family. //// I will say again that Cobra was very defensive to Art and I did not like this. ART, I love this site man, and reading it all wears me out, so I KNOW, you must be exhausted!! Thanks for all your hard work. Have you found out anything else on they fight at Grandmas and if Misty took Jr, to health clinic. Maybe she was going to clinic he was just with her, I can think of ALL SORT of STUFF she might need to be treated for, and maybe she was being a good little wife, Dr shopping and pilling popping. JMO

As someone that is hesitant to believe that either parent was involved based on what little we know to be concrete facts, Cobra said something in that online interview that really rang true to me. Cobra mentioned that early on, people took sides in this case and I think we can all admit that this caused major divide between people. I never really thought Chrystal was involved in Haleigh’s disappearance especially since the police ruled her out almost immediately. My main problem with her accusations was that they took focus off finding Haleigh and put the focus on the custody battle raging between the parents. I am not saying that this was Chrystal intention but it did cause everyone to start speculating on which parent was the more “fit” one rather then the timeline leading up to Haleigh’s disappearance. I truly believe that connecting the dots and figuring out the gaps in the timeline leading up to Haleigh’s disappearance is the key to figuring out what happened the night Haleigh went missing.
I understand people don’t agree with the way these people live and the choices they make. I get that Ronald has a shady past and has made some bad choices however, that does NOT automatically make him a murderer. As time goes on, people are getting frustrated. I think it is easy to make allegations about both sides but you could just as well speculate that someone entered the trailer that night and took Haleigh. Just think, if Misty really was partying as hard as people said she was, is it really out of the realm of possibility that someone that was familiar with the trailer was able to enter unnoticed? Did she do drugs that night before going to bed? Had the door been left open? Was she in the right frame of mind to be watching these children? We know that the surrounding area has registered sex offenders and these are just the people that are registered (scary but true). You can argue that Ronald was a horrible father but the fact of the matter is; he was awarded custody on more than one occasion. If he was abusing Haleigh or Junior, multiple people failed in protecting them. None of us ever saw him interact with his children, so we really don’t know. I agree, marrying Misty was strange but I have come to the conclusion that I cannot figure out some of the choices these people make. We can argue over bite marks, sticks etc. but until this timeline is sorted out, it is all speculation and Haleigh remains missing. I feel for both sides of the family and everyday that goes by without a lead is frustrating- I can’t imagine how they must feel.

Sorry this is so long, please edit as you see fit. I have tried to shorten my commits & know it is still to long.
First I want to say I do not think any family member harmed this child. I really feel like she is still alive.
This is all my opinion! I just have a lot of questions about the 911 call and what leads up to it!
Was this staged to throw off DFS or retaliation because of something Ron did or said and was warned if he didn’t “pay – up” or whatever the terms were they would take his pretty little daughter?
Ron believed them & help from friends or family packed up or the person knew just where to find a few needed items including the breathing machine. Then while Misty was passed out, (her words) or asleep the person knew she and the kids would be asleep. The story was hatched about her being “stole”, to look like a kidnapping. He didn’t tell Misty his plans because he’d be afraid she would let it slip. After all she had just turned 17 in Dec. I believe Misty may have laid down when she put the kids to bed. Jr. came in later and got in bed. With a habit of regular using or if like most teens she would sleep dead to the world and the children were probably sound sleepers too. Any one that knew the house could take the things she needed from her bedroom, wake Haleigh, motion her to be quite and change her clothes and leave. The kitchen light is enough to light the way for anyone who knew the house. Ron was at work so he could honestly say; “I don’t know I was at work”. I think Misty knew of the warning to Ron but didn’t know the final plans. I believe she is covering for something. But is not afraid of him! She is holding something over his head. JMO
I believe the 911 call was planed? Thinking if 911 were called this would scare the ones making the threat to back off and she could just be left in a safe place. He did not think past this stage or expect to go this far! I think it was a plan that just got out of hand! I believe all the Ron drama in the background is just that, drama! Again JMO
My big question is if not planed why did Ron have Misty call 911? She sounded half asleep and really sounded scared or upset. If he’d just gotten home he should have been calling the second he saw she was missing. He could search the house and talk at the same time! Why would he remove his phone from his pocket or wherever he carried it, did he put the phone down while taking the house apart to look for his daughter? I don’t think so! It only takes 2 min. to search a house that size. On the 911 call at the start Misty said, “I just woke up! The dispatcher asks; what did she have on? Misty said in her pajamas, we were sleeping. With in the first 40 sec. of the call Ron is in the back ground & it “sounds like” Ron is saying; “why? or how did? my daughter (gets?) stole? home? in the middle of the night”. I read several transcripts of the 911 calls and didn’t find where any one transcribed this. After Ron hung up on the dispatcher and calls back, to talk to Misty, it sounds like she says “I don’t want to”, then you hear Ron “How the f’ did you let may daughter get stole?” About 2.44 sec. in to the call when Ron says something to her she is crying & said again; “I just woke up!” Towards the end of the call Ron is saying, “ where is my f’ing phone…we’ve got better people to talk to ………” Misty must have hers in her hand because she made the call. He is not out side looking for Haleigh, because he is standing right with her while she is talking to 911. Why isn’t he out waking up neighbors???? Calling her name? I DO NOT BELIEVE MISTY WAS AWAKE OR EVEN UP WHEN RON GOT HOME! The interview by Reported by Mark Spain 2/17/09 “I was over-exhausted. I was real tired. I had a long weekend,” she said…………..” remember him being up…I was half asleep…That was right after I laid down…Got up and walked out of my room…And the next thing I know I was out. Did Ron go by the store at 2:30 AM because he knew he would be seen on the camera? Did he turn on the light? After all it is really dark in the woods. Then woke Misty and told her Haleigh was gone. Maybe he called her from the store phone or pay phone to wake her so she would notice Haleigh missing (If she was up)? Did Misty leave the light on for Jr. to watch his movie in the LR? We all know the back door was not standing open unless it had clothes piled in front of it and they didn’t say that, so no way could she see the storm door standing open, but Ron makes a point to say on the 911 call, again in the background, that the lock is turned sideways. Why would he even bring that up? Sure it is turned side ways if it is unlocked; Misty had already said it didn’t look tampered with.
So what if Misty really didn’t know any thing at first. only need-to-know-details to call 911? Someone who has an addiction problem can’t always remember details. Most all have blackouts, some worse than others! They can be told they did or did not do something and they begin to doubt what they really know to be true! Little by little bits and pieces start to return maybe not in the right order! This would account for her story changing. As time went on here story became better and better rehearsed. Even being told to look at the camera, why was that important to Ron, his daughter was missing!! Just get the story straight?
In my opinion Ron is a very insecure person, with low self-esteem, other wise he would not need young girls he can control. But it’s not all his fault he has a lot of enablers including his Mom, Grandma, Dad, Sister, Misty, Amber, even Crystal and probably other family members and friends. I was an enabler my self for over 25 years so I understand how easy it is to be one! As far as Ron not working, if he was fired he has probably already applied for unemployment and food stamps.

ART, Why in the world would fishy Misty let a pedophile Don Sapp and her cousin Joe, watch little Haleigh jumping on the trampoline on the day of her disappearnce ? Sounds like she was offering them candy to me. It doesnt get any sicker than that. There should be a criminsl charge just for that agains Misty. Does Ron know she did that ? Does he know that she took them home to her house where her cousin and other peerbs hung out alot. Maybe they were grooming that poor baby and I have not doubt it was with Misty’s 100 % approval. Come on, she probably gets a cut of money and drugs in the kids that she baby-sits…like she said “they all like her”….thats called grooming. It doesnt take a rocket scienctist to see she is not a maternal type of person that would feel preotective for them, (unless people are watching her). I think she pretends to PLAY with them and the kids think that means she loves them. RON she isnt who she pretends to be. Look what you have in bed beside you…someone that will lie down with anyone, if it means drugs, alcohol and having a man with a place of his own…people that are being fooled by a CON dont know it…she is of the worse kind because I think she has all intentions now of throwing you under the bus so you cant find your little girl. I still think she is alive and hope God stops anyone from hurting her and lying to her. Come on Haleigh, you are strong because Jesus is in your heart and He has been holding you in His Arms of Everlasting Love. #208 Jenna- I know that there are a lot of non-native English speakers who have impeccable grammar, but usually they have had some formal education in its usage. I happen to live in an area where there are a lot of migrant farm workers and her writing patterns were somewhat similar. However, after reading some more of Rainy’s posts it is obvious that he/she is playing some sort of game. The writing style changes from one post to the next. I am still not convinced it is Misty though.
Captainobvious- I am not sure where you are seeing that I have made the same post over and over- but if that is the case please point them out. The one I mentioned that was lost contained completely different content than the one that was actually posted.
Whoever mentioned the dumpster again- it was established that the dogs were hitting on some sort of feminine hygiene product that contained menstrual blood. Not a cadaver.

When Crystal was with him. Amber is clearly a drug addict and she actually looked like she was drug free after she had her baby. You are blaming Ron for Crystal using drugs? Her own mother was convicted of running a drug den.

I looked it up it says Ron Cumming’s got of at 3:00. He told Nancy Grace he got home at around 3:30. If Ron got off at 3:00 how could he be at a store at 2:30? What is Cobra doing?

When did Ron take the children on “vacation”, to Mexico and Texas. Do you know if he has any connection to drugs comming from Mexico? Maybe Ron was really stepping on someones toes. I know there is a large Mexican population near Patlaka. Ron was dealing drugs, where did he get them? If this is what happened, I can understand why they all are scared and not talking.
I keep going over some of the things that have been released, No forced entry into the trailer, but then really – just about anyone could have had access to Misty’s keys. Somehow the van was taken. the very time that Haleigh goes missing, and was returned with some damage to the body.
Both Ron and his Mother lied about picking Haleigh up at the bus stop. Misty picked he up. Why would they lie?
When did the gun go missing? Why? Did someone take the gun to prevent Ron from hurting someone when he was so angry about Misty going on her weekend fling.
Was Ron an informant? Who had no respect for Ron? Was White Boy Greg a pimp? Maybe a pimp want to be, Does he know Jerome? Did they think Misty had joined Amber and Nay Nay? Did someone in the police department tell Chuck Ingrim, the pedaphile, that Ron was an imformant for LE.
Was the washing machine really running at 3:00 – 4:00 AM? One of the first dogs found a childs footprint, on a path behind the trailer. And finally the cadaver dogs hit on the dumpster.
Looking at the timing of all of this – the crazy weekend for Ron and Misty, all the pedaphiles around these children, the drugs, fighting over money, recklessness, etc. Maybe it was truly just a matter of time that something like this happened. But now thats no excuse.

Hi Art, and everyone…….There are several people posting on this blog that IMHO is surely kin to the Cummings clan…I think everyone here knows who they are…….I wish you would update the blog more often as this gets entirely too long, to even read and follow everyday……The topic will be the same (all about Haleigh), just rename the title, and start anew……….It is very frustrating to wait for this little angel to be found……..Haleigh is the first thing I think about when I wake up and she is the last thing I think about at night before I go to bed……..Not to mention, listening to the news all hours of the day and evening thinking there is a break in this mystery, and that precious little girl is found………….I certainly hope you, Art, and Cobra, and JVM do NOT stop looking for this child……….In answering someone on here saying I was calling names…….I went back and on this blog the most I said,,,was someone (misty) was nasty……She is and that’s that…End of that………..If in fact, Haleigh was killed in that trailer, I don’t believe she is far away….Like in another state…..One more thing,,,,,,,,,,,,This is to Misty,,,,,,,,,,Ronald will get rid of you,,just like he did with Crystal and Amber…..He will, either by his own hand, or you get smarter and leave him….One way or the other, you will be gone……….This is a fact of life, given the info we have on this guy up until now… Anyone want to make a wager??????? Does anyone know if Haleigh was receiving any type of dissability benefits? The breathing machine would be covered under medicaid, but I would think they would only cover one. If a breathing machine was located at Crystal’s home, I would think she would have borrowed the one from Ronald’s home, or rented a breathing machine. It wouldn’t be too difficult to find out.

Was parental rehab, as you call it, ever pursued? I don’t remember the Judge ordering it for Ron or Crystal.I do remember Ronald telling Geraldo “CPS told me it was ok to spank my children”…I still find this appalling. Children are not to be hit, and abused.. I wonder if Ron is still hitting Jr., because CPS said it’s ok? I feel so sorry for those children…Two beautiful children who never had a chance in life…I pray for Haleigh’s return, alive, but it doesn’t look likely…Jr. should have been removed from the Cummings household before now.. Unless he is taken out of that drug filled atmosphere, he will be like the rest of the druggies, as he grows up…It seems Satsuma authorities aren’t making a big deal out of illegal drugs..

Emotionally (“He loved his little girl, and hopes she’s still alive”) and financially. “He can’t support his family after losing his job; he’s taking odd jobs where he can get them. He did some yard work the other day, and after deducting gas and expenses, made 20 bucks. Crystal is getting all the money. No one is giving to the account set up by Jamie Watts at Bank of America. He could use some help.”

Art, Personally, I think the main objective is to get Haleigh home. All of the pieces will fall into place then. Be it move in with friends or relatives to make ends meet, sorry , but so be it. I think COBRA who is the one searching for her and by the way,, he is way out of his own money, he needs funding to find her. Its as simple as that. If he were able togo chase 51 bad guys that have jumped bond since this, well he could do it. But theres something about this little girl like the rest of us that has kept us coming back to find her…me on the site, but Cobra, Art Harris, TJ Hart and others, well you guys are right there on the front lines….the guyus on the front lines are often shot at….so keep your heads down. The Man Upstairs, has Big Eyes. I dont feel that her parents killed her…she is treasured by her whole family, thats in her favor. But I would be happy to help Ron and Crystal after they find the baby. I mean it…and my hysband of 33 years just lost his job and I’m a grandma of 4 tiny ones, I adore them..I’m battleing cancer and winning, but I my only son Jake was killed and I don’t want anyone to ever go through that kind of pain again. My son was a leader, he use to glow and he loved people. He was smart, strong but blinded by someone from the wrong side of the tracks, that wasnt so innocent…she had a hidden past and was older, that ultimately cost him his life….not before his death made her a fortune though as she tried to destroy our close family and danced on his grave with a boy she met at the funeral…now how does that sound…9 months later we got our only grandchild from her a son…whom the state took away frowm her after 4 years. My daughter has 3 little ones and going through a divorce and boy are there alot of frogs out there. She needs her big brother to protect her and his guiding hand to hold onto ….so I feel sorry for Crystal and yes Ron too. Take some parenting classes and anger management you two…i know you are willing to be the best parent you can be for the love of those babies the Good Lord gave you. And by the way, contrary to what some say on here, God doesnt make mistakes…remember that. He wanted you both, you all in this life, just wants you to search His Word and get and stay in church. I would question your source that is the friend of Teresa’s. There has been word that the Cummings family hasn’t wanted anything to do with KFN and the Anthony family for quite awhile.
Also, you should take a look at the press release issued by Ron’s attorney today. They make it quite clear that they want nothing to do with anything in which the Anthony family is associated. I think perhaps your source misled you, or that they misspoke and didn’t know Teresa’s true intentions.
I can’t help but wonder how people would react if it were Ron Cummings that had went to that vigil with the Anthony family instead of Crystal and Marie. I suspect your site would be swamped with hatred and nasty innuendos. But, because it’s Crystal, it’s all good. Rather hypocritical if you ask me.

I have a big mouth but in general people like me. I am a for real person. I love kids and have been in that line of work all of my life. Johnny Sheffield’s wife? LOL. I live in CT and have never met the guy or any of the players in this case. Given all the blind accusations on this blog towards Crystal’s father, I felt it was worth mentioning that Art and Cobra have spent time with Johnny, like him, and attest to his good character.

Ron did steal the kids from Crystal. He asked Crystal if he could take the kids on vacation in Texas and then never returned them.

Well, he married the GF Art, why would you think people would wake up and smell somethings wrong. You reported the NayNay & AMber thing with Cobra- Why do you think people stopped handing the guy money, tattoo’s & free campers to lay out in? Give the guy a break. Have a heart for both parents, they lost their kid. Try and imagine if it happened to you and you did not do it. What if someone kills themselves? I mean they already lost their kid. Come on.

Ron didn’t steal those kids from Crystal.He kept them because she was using cocaine.It’s all in the court documents about custody.
Regarding the fine upstanding J.M.Sheffield,he was living with Marie,Crystal’s mother,in a drug house.None of these people are clean living and I sure am tired of seeing one side get beaten down in the media and blogs.

Art, as for Ron needing money. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for him. He had money and spent it very foolishly and was proud to show it off. Not too mention, wanting free meal,drinks,etc. He ran his scam on his own daughter’s expense. Just can’t feel sorry for him. How about with some of his free time he help Cobra? Oh, I forgot he doesn’t do that.He doesn’t go to vigil’s either. What has he done to help find his daughter?

Misty picked up Haleigh at the bus stop the 9th. Then she left Hermit’s Cove in the van.
The van was at Chelsea’s at 4 am.
How did Misty and kids get back to Hermit’s Cove?

It’s been said that Misty was seen out on the town that night. Who was watching the kids and where were they watching them?

IMO anyone involved with the Anthony’s is in it for $$$$$$$.
It sickens me that Crystal is making out like a bandit through the Haleighbug Centre, I really hope she’s considering her son’s welfare and sharing some of her new found wealth, i.e. the outstanding child support, and I hope Ron sue Ms. K.P., but more importantly, I truly hope Haleigh is returned to her family very, very soon.
Praying very hard for the safe return of Haleigh.

How did Ronald set up Johnny in the charges for running an animal fighting ring and animal cruelty charges? Seized from Johnny were 30 bantam roosters, as well as a video camera. Johnny later filed to have the video camera returned to him. Did Ronald plant 30 bantam roosters and come up with a Johnny look alike and use Johnnys camera to video tape this look a likes involvement in an animal fighting ring? Wow I guess I have not been giving Ronald enough credit all this time, thats quite the setup to pull off.

No one should be sending money to either parent! Send it to cobra if you have to send it. I wouldnt send a dime to either parent. Please could you verify whose trampoline Haleigh was jumping on. I heard on a news broadcast that it was Daniel Snodgrass, the same guy that showed up at the Haleighbug Center but they sent him away. Cobra informed on that blog talk interview that it was Donald Sapp. Do you think he could have confused his notes between the two DS’s? I’ve read on other sources that Misty, Ron, and the kids have spent some time being around Daniel Snodgrass…who has a horrendous charge against him right now. Then again, Donald Sapp’s past indescretions are nothing to be desired also. IMO, these two people are sick and not trustworthy (DS).
Early on, in an initial foot search, a makeshift lean-to and stick chair were found. Do you know if anything found at the makeshift camp was taken into evidence? Or is it possible it belonged to a fisherman/hunter? There are alot of vagrants in that area, alot in Florida altogether, so maybe it belonged to a homeless person…just sayin’.
Do you know if a drug test was performed on Misty (or Ron) before they took their polygraphs? I am of the opinion that Misty still had stuff in her system so they couldn’t get a verifiable poly, which is one of the reasons the popo gave her more than one interview…might have something to do with her timeline. If she had an kind of inhibitor flowing through her, they wouldn’t be able to get an accurate reading on her poly. Has a drug test been done on Misty since Haleigh’s been gone, specifically asking if one was done within a couple of weeks of Haleigh’s absence.
I have been told from sources in the neighborhood that the mobile homes are on concrete slabs (in Haleigh’s neighborhood). Do you know if they are all on slabs? Or do any have openings underneath? I keep thinking about little Jessica Lunsford and how she was buried so close to her home.
Is the RSO that was arrested, Timothy Loukakis, still in jail? Or has he been released? Since he was picked up and placed in jail because he went out of his zone or wasn’t back in his home for his curfew, then I assume his whereabouts have been searched thoroughly. Do you know the radius of the ground search, if indeed it was even scoured?
Has the current flow of the St. John’s River been checked and searched accordingly? I’ve been told that the current was flowing faster than normal on the evening Haleigh went missing, however in researching this, I’ve found that the current is normally a lazy flow. There are many alligators in that river, as well as all/most bodies of water there, but I was told that the alligators probably would have left Haleigh alone b/c of feeding or hibernating season or something. Is that true? I always thought an alligator would feed no matter what time of year it was, only that they feed more during mating season.
The Ocala National Forest is vast. There are many vagrants that live in it. Crime is still taking place there, just not publicized as much as in prior years b/c the police have been pulling out the weeds, so to speak. Do you know if there’s been a search of the forest or the 7 Sisters Islands? With all the boats people in Putnam County have, and with all the people that would volunteer to search either by boat or foot, you’d think it would have been searched by now. There are alot of streams cutting through the forest. I’m only wondering if it’s been searched or not, officially searched that is.

o.k., Lisa E, let’s do use this site constructively. it i not constructive to have to read 10 different people’s 20 paragraph posts, complete with THEIR one-sided take and play by play. how many different people have to post on here that it’s just not necessary to have to sit and sift thru all the b.s.?
as for johnny sheffield, are we to understand that ALLLLLLLL of johnny’s criminal record is due to ron setting him up? if so, then you don’t give the guy enough credit, because that would mean he was capable of causing johnny sheffield to raise and fight roosters, have assault charges, drug charges and a number of other charges in addition to the dog fighting/animal abuse charges. on top of ALL of that, who lets their 14-year-old’s boyfriend come live in their home and sleep with their daughter under their roof? crystal was pregnant at 16 years of age. it boggles my mind how many people are so quick to accept any old excuse about being set up, etc., rather than taking responsibility for their own actions. was Marie set up as well for her drug dwelling charges? what a fine example for 2 parents to set for their impressionable kids. history repeats itself in this case. as for ron “stealing the kids,” i’m sure you can read the court records that show she never once bothered in all the time he had them to call and check on them. and before you use the “he changed his # routine,” court records also showed that he’d had the same cell phone for YEARS at that time, and actively used that same cell # while he had the kids. is it his fault she “just didn’t want to get up out of bed” to take haleigh to the more than dozen missed doc appts? his fault she no-showed how many court proceedings related to custody? just another excuse among many how she was “done wrong” by ron and the system. THAT is what gets old.

I don’t post here very often, am usually on the fox orlando blog, but all the bickering about that vigil on who attened and who didn’t made me want to post, I really don’t think it matters if rons family attened or not, or that crytal and her mom talked to the anthonys, believe me i am not a anthony supporter at all, i think casey did it period, but that vigil that was held was for all missing kids, i think ron didn’t want any trouble between him and crystal and thier moms and misty so he didn’t attend. as far as crystal family goes i imagine they need all the support they can get, i know i would if my daughter was missing, i’d want any one who could help me cope thru this. The same with rons family, I am not going to take sides in this, as none of us truelly know what has happened to haleigh, because if we did, she would have been found by now. I have never been a anthony supporter as i stated above, i don’t think they are helping their situation at all with their daughter casey, but stop and think about it if your child or grand child was missing, i know i love my 26 year old dqaughter beyond words, and i would stand behind her, but not lir for her, i don’t agree with alot of what ron has done, but i think its just poor judgement on his part. Both parents are having a hard time of it right now, i don’t know if i could go back to work and just pretend everything was fine either, i think they need some one to help them with the money coming in, someone to advise them on how its to be spent, i don’t either parent is intentionally trying to profit off of this horrible thing. May a little mis guided is all. There has been alot of wrong decisions in this case, the custody battle should of been put on hold until they find haleigh, but thats just my humble opinion. I really hope they find haleigh alive, but with every passing day with no leads i am beginning to think the worst. I know everyone here just posts their on opinions on this site, i recognize a few names from the fox blog, but i have started coming here to find out whats going on as the blogs that use to keep us informed have turned into a social networking site for just bs. Just put Ron Cummings working till 3am in a google search or put Ron Cummings shift 3pm-3am. Some may be wrong but that is what has been widely reported in this case. LE said he worked his shift. Art I really would like to offer some help to someone in this case. Do you have the information about Ron Cumming’s and his shift hours? Would LE tell your or PDM? This for me I need confirmed because it has cause some doubt about Cobra. Which is very unfortunate. Because I had high hopes he could find the child. That he was an honest upstanding kind of guy. But if Ron is struggling to work odd jobs for $20 then when Cobra claims the money is poring in to Ron, that is not accurate. I am torn here. Thanks.
Look to Misty if anyone at all is involved in any way. Perhaps she was just out or past out but in the 911 call Dad seems frantic and does not try to make himself look good and Misty well, she could just be in shock, I think it strange she finds Haleigh missing at 3 or so when Ron is due home. Maybe Misty came home to find her missing. Maybe not. Misty does seem to love the child. I have seen more real pain and tears on her face than the mother. The mother however could have been on drugs or in a state of shock. But if you look at the way they responded. Then again Crystal could have had a real rough life and be a tough cookie. I do not know.

I read PDM was laying off tons of workers and Ron had asked for a shift change. PDM said Ron did not contact them since Haleigh went missing. But TN said how great PDM had been about the entire affair. If one of my employees had a child taken I would reach out to them. Certainly I would let them know if they needed to fill out paperwork in order to keep their job open. Something about this PDM issue does not sit right with me. I have been in charge of large companies that do whatever they wish simply because they can. Why did PDM make it public that they let Ron go because he did not call in? It seems like a preemptive strike to me.

Art, I wasn’t down on the Cummings side for not going…in fact, I think it was the wise thing to do, even if they had known, because the friction and animosity caused by the Sheffield side has made it so their (the Cummings’) being there would have detracted from the true purpose of the event. I know it was broadcast on tv for a couple of weeks beforehand (including a Marie Griffis interview during the victims rights week kickoff), so I truly just assumed they didn’t go to keep from causing more focus to be taken from Haleigh.

these two have no fear of anything…break laws everyday , in front of the world…..i don’t want to imagine, what they do, when no one is looking…
even henry VIII,waited a short time and tried to change the laws of his church, when he wanted to get married to his second wife…not ron..when his church said we do not approve of this union, he got married anyway, within a day.
and the entire world was watching, but that didn’t phase ron, for one second.

tlk, court records and judge’s statements show the kids’ insurance was covered by the state Even still, I just purchased a nebulizer (breathing machine), brand spanking new, with 2 month supply of albuterol for $50.00, so it’s not inconceivable that an extra one could have been purchased vs. rented.

NG has a lot of nerve to call anyone a liar, especially the parent of a missing child…just last night, i believe she said she didn’t care about the truth…for 3 nights, she has called CC’s girlfriend a stripper…when she was finally corrected,…(hostess)…. she seemed to say, she could care less, what the truth was…i bet anything, tonight, at the beginning, of the show, she will do this again.
just as this has nothing to do with this case, neither did what NG said about crystal & omitted all of ron’s criminal record..the person, who has the criminal record.

Another thought to ponder here is: Johnny Sheffield being an X Deputy Sheriff, Maybe he has someone wanting to get back at him, for maybe putting them{ Who Ever } Behind Bars at some point, And That here comes Ronnie Boy, with all his doppie habits and wheeling and dealing in drugs, Came across Someone, Whom Johnny Had put away and not knowing it, tried to make deals with the person with a grudge against Johnny, all in all – Ronnie trying to be a Big shot, maye telling this person, that he has the Sheriffs in his back pocket, lets it spill that he was Johnny’s Son in law to some degree, and this fellow with a grudge, gets ripped by Ronald, takes his revenge against Ronald and Johnny, Makes Friends with Misty, Long enough to fill her full of dope while Ronald is gone to work, and walla, this guy walks off with Haleigh! why else would Ronald Spout off at Misty, ( why did you let them take my daughter – on the 911 call. ) or it could be like I had stated earlier, Misty was left to clean up the mess, Put the Child in the Dumpster, and told one of her friends or Even Ronaldo’s Mother and even her mother – Both, and they came and took Haleigh from the Dumpster and took her someplace else!! and that’s why Ronald muddled ( why did you let them take my Daughter) why else would his mother, through What I call Fake Tears, be smiling, at the beginning of this whole mess! I saw her Smiling, you can’t tell me she doesn’t know something, their all holding something over each others heads. The Key is with Ronald And Misty, I’d be finding out Just what time he was at that wood cutters, and what time they was all there at the house,after Misty got Haleigh and Ronald Went to work, And!! I think I head the grandmother said she was there that night, I don’t think I heard weather Haleigh was up! when her grandmother was there or all ready in bed Asleep! Maybe the Grandmother didn’t notice that Haleigh wasn’t breathing, If she was in bed, and Covered up!!! and maybe that’s why Misty Washed the Blankets, Do away with what ever evidence! – Keep it going Art and Cobra!!

Also I want to say this: Misty is – was only 17 years old, into drugs,upset that she couldn’t go out with her friends, because she had to stay home and play mommy! Looses control because the kids are cutting up! or maybe just Haleigh if Jr Was All ready in bed! and Misty flips out after the grandmother leaves,if she was even there at all, Because Haleigh Doesn’T want to go to bed, and she Hits her, to the point her brains rattle, and dies, Concocts this hole mess up to cover her BACKSIDES up!!! when people are on drugs, they do the most stupidest things, and think they can get away with it! And Look!!! So far she has – or they!!!!
And if Jr, awoke and saw someone carrying his sister out, that was dressed in Black – well that could have been Misty her self, thinking it’s late at night! no one can tell weather it’s Me – meaning her!! and I’ll just hide the evidence, than after she done that, Because Ronald might have hit Haleigh earlier that day! made him think it was him, and or she gets scared, calls her mom and his mother, and than they move the body from the Dumpster!! Because His mom doesn’t want for her baby boy to go to jail!

2Spunky-I went to this interview a blogger radio show on I think Blog Talk. It is on once a week and this show was on Sunday the 18th, with Art, T.J. Hart and Cobra. I followed a link that is in comments on this story near the top.
NaplesFla-So, you can have an opinion and post it as fact. But I can’t post my opinion? I saw where you posted that people must be changing their names because to many had issue with you. Naples, it is because you have in many posts lists of what appear to be facts that are not true.
Why would you repost facts that are not true? What is your objective in doing so.
To all those that claim the Cumming’s are on this site.
If they are then so are the Sheffield’s. They are making big money off this missing kid that none of them could step up and pay child support on. There are reasons under the law accounts for missing children are for the custodial family. That is because they support the child and if they can’t work they loose income. So, why in the world is Crystal making out like a bandit while Ron is working odd jobs? Because she and her family got mad when she could not be on the account with Ron under the law and decided to lash out at him. They do not believe he killed Haleigh. You have all fallen for it. It is so sad to see. If Crystal had not started this the focus would be on Haleigh and finding her. Her father tried very hard to keep it that way while her “mother” did all she could to change the focus. What mother would do such a thing? She is on the same cluster and Casey Anthony in the DSM I can promise you. Look up Histrionic Personality Disorder and you will find a photo of Crystal Sheffield.
I started on her side by the way. But she is so pathological and I waited awhile making excuses for her.

Read the post daily but this is my first post. My heart goes out to both the Cummings and Sheffield families. I can understand why both sides speak as they do.
What is to say we could have expressed ourselves any differently had we been informed our child was missing ?
In time Haliegh’s little body will be recovered either dead or alive. Lets pray it be the later.

Ronald wins the public relations war here! By Crystal and her mother Marie embracing the presence of George & Sindy they proved they are oblivious to more then just their own lives and what goes on around them in their own camp. Ronald’s behavior on this one wins. As for his other problems – sooner or later everyone’s actions catch up to them in one way or another. The same people you step-on on the way up are the same people you see on the way down. Karma is a b**ch!

Under Florida law nobody should be collecting except the custodial parent and that should be for basic needs. So, while Ron Cumming’s struggles to meet basic needs, others make money? Cobra has told lies about Ron spending donation money on tatoo’s, cars, rings, and that is because Cobra wants people to donate to him.

Was Misty home on Sun night? She does not say anything about Sun. or all day Mon… She says Haleigh peed the bed- I guess…Why does she say I guess? Misty says she always got Haleigh ready for school and she liked like a queen.. If she peed the bed she had to have smelled it. It had to be Sun night, because Mon. is when she went missing. Who got her ready for school Mon? When did she bath these kids? AND JUST THROWING A MOVIE IN FOR THEM DOES NOT GET A CHILD TO SLEEP. Where are their bedtime stories and now I lay me down to sleep????

llisa – You are really a hostile person. I read somewhere that the information that I found concerning Sapp was incorrect. That is why I said not post it.
You will have to find someone else to call an idiot. You are for Ronald 100% and anything anyone says bad about him, you go on the defense. What did you do, do a search for naplesFL only and base your hatred toward me?
I did a search on Sapp and saw how many times you brought up the name to try to point the investigation in that direction. I bet LE investigated him too! Go through all of Art’s stories and search SAPP, you will probably find the answer you are looking for.

If Ron’s shift was from 4:30pm til 3am, where/what was he doing from 3pm (Haliegh got off bus) until 4:30 when he reported for work? The G’Mother dropping off clothes at 7pm, and seeing Haleigh, is questionable… IMO

Kim Picazio sent out the longest email defending herself and she sounds like a raving lunatic. I think that Ron wants the focus on Haleigh right now but I hope he will consider filing a lawsuit against Kim Picazio.
I think it is ironic that Kim wants Cobra removed from the case and I wonder if that is really true. Could be that they are working together just to get publicity and expose what she wants for this custody issue. But that as more people are figuring this may be the case they are trying to put some distance between each other.

Gayle-Sounds almost like a threat to Art. Just because he posted the truth that Ron Cumming’s is having a hard time financially. If you do not want to send money, don’t. But some of us would rather support a father of a missing child who lost his job than a bounty hunter seeking a reality show and spending his time doing interviews to slander the child’s father, being arrested for false imprisonment, and making up any story he can to get himself on the air or on the inter-net.
You do the same to posters that support the father. Why do you have such an issue with that? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You seem real upset that Art has been a little more fair as of late. Thanks

3) I googled Ron’s 3 pm – 3 am shift and could not find any confirmation that Ron worked those hours.
Moreover, it would be difficult for Ron to work until 3 am that night if a convenience store camera filmed him making a purchase at 2:27 am.

What kind of evidence does DCFS need? Another child to go missing? Give me a break.
Nancy Grace is nothing but a barking little dog and she barked up the wrong tree this time, IMO. I don’t even think she knows half of what’s going on with the things she discusses. Except Casey, of course. That woman is obsessed with Casey. Too bad she isn’t obsessed with all the missing kids in the world.
The less of the two evils, IMO, would be Crystal from what I’ve seen. Yes, he lives with his dear old grandma right now. But what about when all this dies down some? Then what? Back to leaving Junior with the uneducated Misty again? Wondering how many times he’ll have to go drag her butt back from the next party.
The point is to keep Jr. safe. I agree with that statement ou made. Too bad they couldn’t have kept Haleigh safe, too. You are worried about Crystal not working? I’m worried about Ron and Misty not working, just as much or more so than I am Crystal. Far as I’ve heard her significant other is working, so there’s one out of that relationship, where there is a big ZERO with Ron’s.
I’m thinking the taxpayers and donators are already paying for enough of their living expenses, including Ron’s.

Did ya’ll consider the fact that Ron’s children all have health problems (Jr. I think too) that qualify them for SSI benefits, food stamps and Medicaid in the state of FL. He doesn’t have to work he collects. Misty may even get a check for something being wrong with her. He’s probably still collecting for beautiful little Hagleigh who is missing and not considered, God forbid, deceased. Oh, they don’t have to pay for rent living w/Grandma. Isn’t it her government paid for pills that Ron is rumored to sell?

Noreen, Ron has no continuous work history. He needed a job to get custody and said he lived with his Mom who helped all the time. It’s been proven he didn’t stay long after gaining custody, moved out and shacked up with one of the other little girls that soon popped out another kid. He only gets jobs when it looks like he might have to go to court or the urge hits him. Never stays long.

I forgot, If you make 5 or 6 thou a year and have kids the government will give you back around 6 or 7 thousand in income tax. He has to work a little to get that good payoff come Feb and April. Sweetie, it’s the white trash redneck way!

I do hope Ron can find a job very soon. With the economy as it is that will be hard. He does have a family to support and he himself needs support and a few kind words.
I hope Crystal can get her seisures and other problems under control also.
What better tribute to Haleigh than to prepare a stable home for her to come back to.

Hi Art and readers. I’m new at posting here, but I’ve been reading all the posts, listening to radio broadcasts, and I’m a regular poster at WS. I just posted what I wrote below to that site and I thought, because I referenced Art, that I should be fair and post here too. That said, I’m very thankful, Art, for your helping to keep this case in the news, but I think we’d all get somewhere faster if we had a few gumshoe investigative journalists on this case, folk who were dedicated to nailing down the details!

I’ll say it again – it’s all about the time line and it’s frustrating as heck that the ones who are supposed to be ON this case the hardest, including AH, are NOT doing the hard, detailed, work of nailing down RC’s [and Misty's] step-by-step whereabouts the whole day into the next morning.
Instead, these folk are making assumptions they shouldn’t be making, taking the word of what they think LE sources are saying, and skimming the surface of the case, following one bizarre scenario after the next.
It took, forever, for example, for these journalists to even believe that RC stopped at a convenience store at 2:30 am that morning – a stop that was only 5 minutes from his home, which he reportedly did not arrive at until just after 3 am.
I think RC was at work that night. I understand the cell phone pings from the tower. But none of that establishes his time line at work. One of the so-called journalistic investigator’s even says, “RC was at work. I don’t know what time he got there.”
Well for goodness’ sake, go find out instead of tracking down crazy leads which make little sense.
Profiling is more up my avenue, but I think if any of you who are really gifted at sleuthing took the timelines (Ron and Misty’s) in hand you all might be the ones to break this case.

As I research this case my thoughts are evolving, and while I am not profiling LE, I am becoming suspicious – from what they are NOT saying, from the fact that they are not talking about RC’s timeline that day and the next morning, from the fact that they continue to throw us tiny bits of information about the inconsistencies about MC’s timeline – that what LE might be doing is deliberately leading RC to think that they believe him, that his alibi of being at work (which he repeats smugly like a mantra) is tight, and that if they’re looking at either one of them it’s only MC.
As I’ve profiled RC he’s controlling and grandiose, believing his own press that’s he’s more than capable of pulling the wool over LE’s eyes and I think that LE – probably with some very good coaching from FBI investigators – is encouraging RC to keep right on believing that he has.

crystal came clean, risked every thing-humilated herself on tv speaking of the ‘drug days’-anything to bring her daughter home.
Interesting to see ron’s fake cries how he forces it.
My personal belief is ‘he had something to do with it’, his character appears of someone self centered. The tatoo is bizare- almost like a memorial. It’s like a casey anthony creapy feeling.

I have read all the comments on here and the truth that I feel is that neither Ron, Misty or Crystal had any thing to do with Haleigh disapearance. Lets all just pray that the child is alright. I can tell you that rumor and gossip is cheap and it damaging but the bottom line is I think both families loved this little girl I will pray that she is return safely like everyone else does but like the police do their job and find this little angel…….

check out(celebration of life/ haleigh cummings) google. click photo albumn, go to page three(3) ronald taking haleigh to the bus. look at the first of (3)real close. now google: (hernan e. enriquez/fun at riverfront park) scroll down to photo. if this little girl is not haleigh i must be blind. hernan took these photo’s 2-21-2009(10 day’s after haleigh went missing. the individual their with is local the van has a partial tag showing in the next photo. junior said a man in black took haleigh or was it a black man took haleigh. ronald and misty in their interviews with the media have a black friend with them. i see scam all over this
