Exclusive: Drug Dealer Haleigh Cummings Help?

The Bald Truth has learned that a convicted Palatka, Florida drug dealer who was arrested again Tuesday night on drug trafficking charges claimed to be using his street sources to help find clues into what happened to missing five year old Haleigh Cummings.
That’s what thirty seven year old Jerome Raymond Williams told me last week in an exclusive interview after discovering two women he’d recently helped bail out of jail had ties to Haleigh Cummings’ family he figured he might be able to exploit in an attempt to cut himself a better deal with upcoming drug charges.
Indeed, Williams told The Bald Truth before his latest arrest he was exploring options with the hard-working missing child task force that hoped the career criminal might be the break they’d been waiting for.
“We thought we had something special with Williams,” confided one law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity, explaining how investigators often have to tap dance with the devil to solve unsolved mysteries like Haleigh Cummings.
Unfortunately, said the source, the drug dealer turned out to be a bust–a ‘VERY dead link to the case.” Out of some 4,000 leads police have chased, so many seemed promising, only to lead to another dead end.
There was cousin Joe in Tennessee who Misty Croslin’s family fingered as their favorite suspect – only police couldn’t tie him to the crime….A so called Haleigh sighting by a government scientist at a beauty parlor outside Nashville: a woman with a tan wearing flip flops and blue jean cutoffs in winter and a little girl the witness swore to be the missing five year old, another bust…a Chad Griffis ’”ex” whose family believed might have had it in for Crystal Sheffield for stealing her man and raising her kids…”We thought that was hot, too,” an investigator told me, “but it’s not on the radar anymore.”
It keeps coming back to the missing hours Misty Cummings can’t account for on the night Haleigh vanished, and a timeline investigators tell me they are still trying to corraborate. Then along comes Williams.
Williams and 30 year old Courtney Renee Leonard were taken into custody Tuesday night after undercover drug officers suckered the ex-con into trading prescription painkillers for what they dangled as stolen TVs, radios and a radar detector, according to the Putnam County Sheriff. .
According to a roommate who shared a triplex with Williams behind the Huddle House in Palatka, he offered a stranger four Loritabs for electronics gear. Drug officers from Putnam and St. John’s Counties, and the Palatka, PD, had been watching Williams, who arranged to meet the undercover officer in a parking lot.
According to police, both Williams and Leonard drove up, and after a little horse-trading, she offered to buy one TV for cash; while Jerome clinched a deal to trade Loritabs for electronics. Afterwards, police found illegal and prescription drugs in Williams’ car, including crack and powder cocaine, and an assortment of pills—Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Diazepam, Cyclobenzapine and Clonazepam.
Williams was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and cocaine possession with intent to sell, possession of a schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell, possession of a schedule IV substance with the intent to sell, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of a legend drug with the intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug conveyance and dealing in stolen property, according to the sheriff..
Officers also served two outstanding warrants for trafficking in Hydrocodone and two counts for selling cocaine. Williams was booked into the Putnam County jail, where Chuck’s Bail Bonds sprung him earlier this month, and had helped arrange bond for Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, and Amber Brooks, Ronald Cummings ex girlfriend and mother of his son, Jordan, after Cobra first rounded them up and bailed them out. Cobra, the nickname adopted by private eye and surety agent William Staubs, had this idea he’d use the girls to cruise the crack dens and try to shake up and shake loose tips from the same crowd they’d partied with the last weekend before Haleigh went missing—when Nay Nay was driving Misty Cummings on her revenge romance in the arms of “White Boy” Greg Page after a dust up with Ronald.
At one party, Nay Nay says Misty nearly came to blows with Amber Brooks, after needling her on My Space about stealing her man, and how she aimed to get her baby, too, a disabled boy named Jordan whose paternity she confirmed when Jerome handed her the phone.
“Yep, Ronald’s name is on the birth certificate,” she told me last week after bonding out courtesy of Chuck’s Bail Bonds.
Charles Durwood Ingram, 49, a former Palatka police officer… is the Chuck behind Chuck’s Bail Bonds, a registered sex offender who plead guilty to lewd and lascivious assault on a child in 2002. After he was sentenced to four years in prison and 11 years probation, he served two years, and began registering as a sex offender, which by statute, barred from the bail bond business. Records show he transferred title to his wife, but when I dropped by the office in a strip mall the other day, there he was, gaunt and goateed, sitting behind a desk; locals say he can be seen riding around town with his wife when she drops off bonds at the jail to spring steady clients like Jerome Williams.
“Chuck takes care of me,” says Jerome of the former bondsman who declined comment. Asked about his status as a convicted sexual predator, Jerome told me that “Chuck says he was set up and framed.”
“If you were set up, why would you plead guilty to go to prison and go on the books as a sexual predator?” asks Putnam County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood, who investigated the case and interviewed the victim. “I just presented my facts and statements. He took the deal. If it was me and I didn’t do something, I’m gonna fight it for sure.”
But with no bond imposed for his new trafficking charges, Chuck’s long-time client was out of luck this time, and The Bald Truth has learned Jerome was transferred Wednesday to a secure facility in St. John’s County.
“He asked to be moved,” says Lt. Greenwood. “There were a lot of guys in jail in Putnam County he’d had dealings with in the past he might be facing as a co defendants in the future. He expressed his concerns (to the jail) that, ‘Hey, these guys know me.” So he was moved for security reasons.”
His co-defendant, Courtney Leonard, remained in Putnam jail, charged with dealing in stolen property; her bond has been set at $2,504.00

Jerome’s phone went to voice mail when I tried him today. Last week, he sure was sounding upbeat. He’d buried the hatchet with Cobra, after the self-proclaimed “hillbilly” went toe to toe with the drug dealer and alleged pimp for taking Amber and Nay Nay under wing after they were bailed out.
At first baffled over how he was suddenly in everybody’s crosshairs, on the one hand he told me he was worried locals would think him a snitch, yet he was boasting to another Palatka bail bondsman that he was a bankrobber who took “federal money,” and a “drug dealer like my Daddy.”
‘That’s what he said in our office when they were trying to get one of the girls’ bonds transferred from Cobra to him, “ recalls A-1 Bail Bonds owner Donna Jaquith. “He was yelling and screaming and acting like an asshole.”
Last month, Amber was booked into the county slammer on a Friday night, on the same cocaine and failure to appear charges that landed her there originally.
Only that time, it wasn’t “Cobra” Staubs who bailed her out (within the hour), but Chuck’s Bail Bonds, the same local outfit that put Misty party pal Prevatt, 18, aka, Nay Nay, back on the streets after jail docs took her of suicide watch.
That release, while legally kosher, irked investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department who tell me they’d hoped she’d detox for a few days in jail and clear her head enough to remember something useful to their investigation into the missing five year old.
It was Prevatt who told The Bald Truth she drove Misty (then Croslin) on a three day binge of parties, drugs, and sex, the weekend before Haleigh turned up missing. After they were arrested together earlier this month, it was Cobra who bonded them out for Donna Jaquith’s A-1 Bail Bonds, a Chuck rival, to cruise the drug netherworld of Putnam County in search of tipsters who might know something, anything.
Then Nay Nay tried to snatch her 9 month old from the child’s father and sent a suicide threat text message to Kim Picazio, the family law attorney for Crystal Sheffield who has been trying to encourage Prevatt to go into rehab. “She actually called to ask if we could pick her up from a drug house the other night, that she didn’t want to be around it, or do it,” Picazio tells me.
Then she was back with Williams, who, according to Picazio, took the girls clothes when they were staying with him so they couldn’t run away. When I got Jerome on his cell phone two weeks ago, he confirmed Amber Brooks had been was staying with him, too.
According to Picazio, he’s been furious at Cobra for cruising through the ‘hood and driving customers away, and Staubs tells me that before their detete, he was interrogating a witness in a cheap motel when Jerome pounded on the door and demanded Cobra stay away, or else, then began threatening his witness.
Moments later, Staubs was detailing that encounter for detectives, when 911 calls came from the motel.
Then, Amber Brooks turned herself into the Jail; Chuck’s bailed her out; she moved into Jerome’s studio with Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, and the convicted felon realized he might have two golden girls who could come in handy as part of a radical makeover he was considering after warming to attorney Kim Picazio who describes feeling out of place as she hopped out of her green Hummer in an Eli Tahari suit and high heels and sat in the tiny apartment with Williams, the girls and three beds. “I was polite and just treated him like a human being, and he was all ears,” she tells me. In fact, he actually considered allowing Nay Nay to go into rehab, says Picazio, and seemed hopeful about a fresh start.
“I’m gonna do what I can to find that missing little girl,” Williams told me in a late night call last week after starting to understand how might benefit from ties to Misty Cummings galpal “Nay Nay” and Amber Brooks.
Sources tell me Williams recently met with Putnam County sheriff’s investigators, who, after three months of dead ends, were ready to entertain how the drug dealer might help them. After all, there was an immunity offer on the table for anyone, even a dealer with a past, if he could help bring Haleigh home.
No specifics were ever discussed, sources tell me, but Williams implied he might know drug dealers who knew Misty. Only his wheeling and alleged dealing apparently rocked on, and the triplex where he was staying behind the Huddle House in Palatka hit vice cops radar.
On one visit, Picazio tells me she met a Williams friend named Daniel Bass, 47, a registered sex offender who called himself the landlord. Picazio says she warned him he might need to evict a needy family with young children in the complex, if children of a certain age nearby violated terms of his sex offender status.
Then came Tuesday night’s bust. “Nay Nay” was not arrested. Picazio who has been checking up on her between representing Crystal Sheffield in her bitter custody dispute with Ronald Cummings, and pressing her case with Florida’s Department of Family and Children, got her on the phone.
“She told me, ‘Kim, I didn’t have anything on me,’” says Picazio, who has been urging Prevatt to seek drug rehab and lobbying Jerome to let her go if she wants help. Police tell me they’d wanted Nay Nay in jail to “dry out” and get her head clear enough to remember anything she might have forgotten in previous interviews about Misty Cummings.
Investigators have interviewed Misty at least 10 times—and tell me they are still trying to reconcile “inconsistencies” in her stories, and plug timelines in others.
Meanwhile, her husband, Ronald, has been asked to return for another police interview with his attorney, Greg Kimball, “to clear up a few things, minor stuff,” a task force member tells me. But that pow-wow has yet to occur.
My sources also maintain police still do not believe it’s a stranger abduction, more likely someone “in the loop” of Haleigh’s family and friends whose name may have not yet surfaced. “We’ve got to keep an open door and an open mind,” says a source close to the case.

When Texas EquuSearch was here they made comments that the neighbors had said that it was a well known that Misty was having sexual relations with Rons uncle .. Do you recall having heard these same comments ? ..
If so , do you have any confirmation on whether it was rumor or not ?? .. & What uncle were they referring to ?

What a set of characters……..Poor little Haleigh never had a chance in this environment, did she????? Both the mother and father of this little girl, should have been sterilized….Drugs and sex leads to poor children being born with maladys and brain damage…Its obvious the grand parents of all invloved did the same things and just passed them down to the ones involved with this case…….Some one down there,,,please try to save the innocent children….

& If so how does he keep coming up with the money ? .. I know he’s a drug dealer but where would he hide his cash so that the cops wouldn’t be able to confiscate it ?? ..

I say bust chuckie for not regestering with fdle as a sexual offender(I checked the database and nothing came up). had to go back a few years. seems their keeping the preasure off the hookers. because somethings being hidden.

Thanks so much Art and Cobra! I do have a request…could you do a little digging in Ajit (spell?) and Brittanee Drexel? There are too many missing, exploited and dead children. I don’t know what is going on! No one would be looking for Haleigh if ya’ll weren’t. Keep on keepin on we’re relying on you. People of FL, pahleez, protest the Anthony’s showing up for the vigil or whatever it is on the upcoming weekend. Putting them and the Cummings together is just too much evil in one spot.

Well, maybe this time they will keep Jerome locked up, I dont think he was gonna be of any help with this case anyway. I wish someone would just find Haleigh,,These people are nothing but druggies and dealers and thats all they are concerned with is getting a fix. This poor child didnt stand a chamce with all this going on so close to her.
Ronald should be running up to jail every time he hears that LE wants to talk to him, and he should drag Misty’s butt with him and make her talk, thats the only way they are ever gonna find out what happened to Haleigh…..Misty knows..

I have been reading all these posts as well as other media. It would appear to me that whomever knows the whereabouts of Haliegh and the events directly connected knows all the characters involved. I think the missing link is someone who is able to assist all these people in getting charges dropped, getting charged with lesser crimes etc. I think people should be researching law enforcement etc that have been involved in all these charges that are looked up for these people, not just the charges. I bet a common link will be found, perhaps that is why some prople with info are quiet. Afraid that their inside help will not be there to bail them out.

I truly feel that Haleigh’s body will turn up very soon. Her bones want to be heard… That is where all of the key evidence will be found and the case will be solved!

Why is this just getting messy-er?

Also if you check Chuck’s Bail Bondsman at the Putnam County Court House you will find they did not pay a bond on a certain person, and this should have caused them to lose their license. I have a feeling some people in Putnam County are on the take.

Not an accusation here but maybe Ron Jr. and Amber’s son Jordan needs to be checked for drugs in their system with a random test and subsequent screening including hair sampling. Often when druggie parents want to party they sedate the kids so that they sleep through it.
Art, have you checked into this? Will it take a court order?

Art – do you know where Nay Nay & Amber are staying now that Jerome Williams is locked up & will not be out on bail?
This may be a chance for Nay Nay to get into rehab, if Jerome is out of the picture. Maybe after going through detox, her mind & memory may be clearer. And who knows, if she isn’t under the influence, she might be amenable to an appeal to her conscience.

Did we learn anything new that would move this case forward in our minds? I dont understand, am I misunderstanding the story about Jerome? It sounds to me like he was playing ya’ll trying to get amnesty for his offenses.
Art, when a “source” tells you to keep an open door and an open mind” who is she/he refering to in the case? And I cant make a determination if I dont know who that comment is coming from. I have had an open mind on the case and then Mistys & Rons behavior painted a different picture for me. I would like more clarity regards to that statement. Because in my mind sweetie, we need a direction for our minds to go to…I’m still at a loss over this little girl. I wish she could come home Art. I wish her mommies heart wasnt broken and she wasnt taking a lot of the blame for her disappearence. People all over the internet are divided and fair enough, she’s made some mistakes, but Ive got two eyes and can see she’s in a lot of pain. I would be too.

This is all very interesting and I suppose no stone should go unturned when it comes to a missing child, but I think none of these low-lifes has any information on this case. They are only using poor Haleigh as a bargaining chip.

I google earthed the street level behind the huddle house in palatka and found the triplex where the perv and drug dealer reside. and yep its a dump. couldn’t get a closer look because google cam didn’t go to the end of the street for the rest is dirt road. that the same with ronald and misty,dirt road.g.cam only went so far. i did see a man on a bike at the intersection and a childs bike behind him but he was blocking the veiw of anyone behind him. he looked like a grandfather and a grandchild out for a ride. good neiborhood at day, but dont go out at night?

Well, we see how drug dealers get their pay. In some instances bartering for stolen goods. Art or Cobra, has the question been asked of Amber or Nay-Nay how Misty paid for her drugs? She’s 17 without a job, nor do i think her bf Ron paid for her baby sitting services. So how does she pay her dealer, with stolen goods? And what would that be? And then how does her dealer pay their dealer for her party favors if she has no funds or goods to barter with. I do fear and this is hard to say, but little bitty girls bring in a lot of money in a child sex ring. There is a lot of money in that business, as even those in high paying political positions will pay big money to have sex with children.

This poor child never had a chance. I cringe when I think about the kind of home environment she has to look forward to when she is found.
Kudos to Kim Picazio for braving this bottom-of-the-barrel cast of characters and trying to help. Truly these people put the saying “We’re all God’s children” to the test!
I’m guessing that Crystal can’t afford Kim, and that Kim is working pro bono. If so, Kim Picazio deserves the Pro Bono Lifetime Achievement award for handling this one case.
Please keep up the excellent work, Art. If it weren’t for you and Cobra this case would have died already– even though the police, I’m sure would claim otherwise.
Lastly, a big a round of applause for the police, who’ve actually managed to make some drug busts– landmark achievements when you look at Ron Cummings record…

Some of may think Art just pops up with these stories, no there is a lot of research to insure a proper story with as much factual truth as possible. I went to sleep at 4am waiting for the very tired Art to put his writings on post. I read the stories too and it is quite the difference to read what you see everyday. I am incouraged to know that we do makes a difference. Maybe we can save a few more children while the hunt is still on to find Haleigh. Art, I could not have explained who is who, any better than you did- it still makes my head spin. You never know who could be involved.
Years ago my sister lost her husband. A friend was going to help her with coping with yard and cars and selling her house.. Long story short – he wormed his way into her life-(was’nt dating her, just always hanging around )started doing things with her and grand kids. He then offered to babysit kids. My other sis and I decided to go to her neighbor, which was a cop. He ran a check on him. We contacted the sex offenders dept.. HE WAS A NUMBER 3 SEX OFFENDER…Years before that, he had went to prison for the rape of his girlfriends 4 yr. old daughter. When my sis confronted him he said he got railroaded, but the child loved him..He did six yrs. in prison- (not long enough.) LE told us that they thought he was in the process of what they call (grooming) the grandchild. That is where they get the childs trust. He did not get far.. God only knows what would have happened if we did not check. They don’t seem to have a cure for them. He got pulled in for being around children, but that is all we could get him on. He did not go back to prison. Does anyone know if there were any sex offenders hanging around haleigh’s house??? And are these sex offenders registered as a #1, 2, or #3??? I am talking about the one’s you just spoke of… There are so many different twists and turns in this case. I’ll bet the good hard working people of the town are happy to know where all these low lifes are located, but wish they could be cleared out. We have them in our town too..Why is Daniel Bass renting to families for in the first place? If true, he can’t be around children – right? How can Jerome hold Nay Nay & Amber there? Why would he take their clothes away from them? LE has some peices of this puzzle that we don’t have a clue to.

I don’t think poor little Heighly will ever be found. All the drugies stick up for each other and lie to save their own butt.My opinion is that Missy is the one that was behind the whole thing..just so she could have Ronald all to herself (like any other 17 year old owuld feel)..This whole thing will someday come to a big HALT!!!!! When Ronald finds out that his “wife” was the one behind all of this…maybe another beat up wife?????

This is my second post, I didn’t see the first, and I’m wondering if I did something wrong.
I am thinking about where all these prescription drugs, (not to mention the crack and cocaine), are comming from, who is the main source? Perhaps now LE will do something about this BIG problem and not just accept it. This is so odd, that these people are breaking the law left and right, and the sexual preditor, x-police officer – just bails them out and then the judge may slap their fingers and back to normal life in Putnam county!
Finally – Jerome Williams has been removed from the picture at least for now. Has he taken a polygraph? Maybe Nay Nay and Amber can get the help they need.
Charles Ingram assalted a child 7 yrs. ago. Do we have access to any of the court records? Is there anything similar to Haleigh Cummings, was her, or perhaps his family also involved in drugs? Did he know the childs family, or was it a stranger abduction? Again, if he should be registered and he is not, why in the name of all that is holy is he allowed to just carry on?
Gainsville, FL, is not far from Patlaka, The University is located there, and they have a very good Mental Health Program, with alot of educated professionals. If these people involved, ie. Nay Nay, Amber, Mitsy, even Ronald want to help find Haleigh, I feel certain these professionals could help them remember something even though half of their mental capacity if probably fried.

I know when my brother was missing I stayed in constant contact with the detectives, I am just wondering does Haleigh’s parents ever have contact with L.E. to find out
anything about the case. I saw Ron on t.v. tonight and he appeared to be doing good. First time in a vey long time
that the news has done a story on Haleigh. John Walsh

I’ve read that a breathing machine of some sort that belonged to Haleighs was missing is that true ? ..
Any missing clothes, shoes, toys, some other possessions ?
& Back again to a question I asked a few days ago ..
Did law enforcement find childrens footprints around the area of the railroad tracks? .. & If so were they barefooted or shoe imprints ? .. Right size for Haleigh or no ?
I read somewhere that over 300 interviews have been conducted by the Sheriffs Office ..If true do you have any info on who those people are ? .. I know some are probably repeats but still any clue ?
In closing , .. I was in town earlier today & I was driving down Palm Ave by where St Johns & Palm Ave intersect ..
In that area there is a hair styling or coloring place there.. I don’t recall the name but it is beside a computer repair business & across the street from a church ..
I saw an unmarked LAW ENFORCEMENT car there & what appeared to be a well dressed 40 something detective getting out & walking into this establishment .. BELIEVE ME FOLKS .. I doubt he was going there to get a trim .. It looks like kind of an “eccentric” kind of place ..
Anyways ,.. Do you have any information regarding any people in this case owning or frequenting this particular business ?? ..

WoooooHoooo!!!!! As the stomach turns!!! I don’t think they could do it better on a soap opera. I agree with the cops is was an inside job! I just hope and pray that beautiful little girl is still alive. I can’t believe such things are going on in such a small town. These are the sort of crimes that plague big cities.
I can’t say enough about you Art and Cobra. Thank you both, I think you (Art) should be given your own TV show on Cable TV. We need someone like you out in the mainstream media. This blog is wonderful but you would reach more people on TV. I know you will get that one clue that will lead to Haleigh. Bless you, (Art) and Cobra and even Jane for keeping this story alive.

Since we can only speculate on Ronalds actions because he is no longer talking to you I believe there may be a very simple answer regarding the “speeding incident ” the morning of Feb. 09 2009 ..
Misty , the woman that Ronald seems to be truely in Love with spent the weekend with another man ..
Among other activities including drugs & hanging out with Nay Nay – Kristina which I believe it has been said that Ronald didn’t like much .. & Ronalds ex-girlfriend Amber as well..
SO,.. He may have been pretty “ticked off” that morning after finding out what all she had been up to ..
I would be more interested in knowing where Ronald went after he dropped Haleigh off at school ..
Is PDM open Monday through Friday or 7 days a week ? ..
I believe the answer will probably be 7 days a week so my next question is ..

Don’t know the name of the place, but there ’s a beauty shop in town where locals tell me Sheriff Jeff Hardy got a nice cut before going before the cameras early on in the case.
Maybe that’s who you saw.
Haleigh breathing machine; Crystal had one and it’s accounted for; not sure about Ron.
Where did you read about footprints on the tracks? Mmmm.
Let’s see. Interviews would include several with each family member, including at least ten with Misty Cummings alone; Cousin Joe, the beauty parlor folks in Tennessee, Ronald’s neighbors, at least three times each, according to a sheriff’s department official, numerous sexual predators, PDM workers, Haleigh teachers; busstop parents, Chad Griffis’s exes, and their family members…and on and on…If they actually spoke with every sexual predator in the county, you’re up to almost 250 there alone…

Excellent, points RoseRed #14, I have wondered the same as to what Ron was doing while Misty was off on her *payback* sex and drug weekend. Who was caring for Haleigh and Junior while Misty was gone? I think Ron was *nutting-out* and it built up to *rage* by the time Misty did show up. I bet the next time Ron *nuts-out* and *slings* Misty around again, she will do the right thing and go to the cops and tell them the truth. Ron has a habit of *slinging* his women around, he will do it again. If Misty is covering for Ron, I worry about Junior. Wonder why the cops didn’t tell Ron that Misty ratted him out and tell Misty that Ron ratted her out, when they had them at the police station. I guess that only works on TV crime shows. I still think Art needs his own TV show!!I do enjoy and look forward to Art being on shows like JVM-Issues. Keep up the great work Art and Cobra!

newsjunkie–you suggesting Gainesville psyche or med students set up a satellite clinic in Satsuma? As far as Chuck goes, there are files that turned my stomach, frankly, and I see no reason to showcase the victim, a member of the family, who is doing well now I’m told. According to files I’ve obtained, he was under investigation as a Palatka cop for allegedly taking liberties with young women in the police Explorer program. Some bail bondsmen in town have griped his business transfer is a charade, that even though it’s in the name of his wife, he’s in the office and on the phone, and Jerome implied was giving him strategic advice on what to do about Amber Brooks that day. One local tells me the state licensing board couldn’ t prove he was actually working as a bondsman; he’s claimed he just goes to the office and hangs out to visit his wife.
Curiously, though, a former employee tells me he rarely if ever bonded out sex offenders before he became one. Now Chucks appears to be the go-to guy; remember the accused pedophile who tried to make furniture donations to the Haleighbug building? He’s facing trial on capital sex offenses for allegedly using his purported circus background to teach young girls how to ride a unicycle, but not before they change into skimpy costumes he’s got in his wardrobe, allegedly grooming them for further advances, according to court files.
Well, circus boy first went to Donna’s A-1 Bail Bonds, but she insisted he put up collateral like the title to his house since he purportedly had relatives overseas and might be a flight risk. He balked apparently, as did a girlfriend who didn’t want to put up her house either, Donna tells me…
Then along comes Chuck’s. No problem; willing to assume the risk; lets the accused predator bond out of jail with no collateral; a major insurance company exec tells me they’re called “junk bonds.”

I was wondering if LE has interviewed Lisa Brooks (Amber’s mother)?
I’ve read that Crystal and Amber are cousins. Didn’t Lisa file charges against Misty late last year over something or other, and Misty and Amber had a confrontation the weekend before precious little Haleigh disappeared, add the immature MySpace post by Misty on Amber’s site “I have your man and I’m going to take your child too” might just have been enough to prompt Lisa to teach Misty a lesson.
Is it possible that a ‘friend’ of Lisa’s went over to Ron’s on the Monday evening, ‘distracted’ Misty, and at some point unlocked the back door, then proceed to ‘distract’ Misty again which allowed Lisa/Amber to enter and take Haleigh from her bed? Haleigh wouldn’t have been alarmed or afraid, as she knows both of them. Wasn’t Misty their (Ron & Amber) baby sitter at one point in time?
I don’t know, I really don’t know, I just pray that dear Haleigh will be home very, very soon.

I missed a part of the Haleigh case on HLN, w/Mike Galanos or maybe it was JVM. They were saying something about Ron’s cousin Chad and a dumpster by Walmart- can someone fill me in? I wish they could feed misty one kind of drug, truth sirem. It would save so much money. I think it is to late as far as saving Haleigh’s life. Maybe not.
I seen Ron on TV- He looks better – took his ear rings out-but still seems something is wrong.. I feel he is holding back on the truth. I went back on pic, and noticed he had grave diggers on the back window of his truck and has changed it. I feel dumb but what is grave diggers suppose to mean? I got it now about Jerome….I swear, him, NayNay & Amber “could have helped”, but gosh darn it all Art, they just cant seem to care enough for five minutes about someone else other than themselves.

I also watched Ron on his lawyers website…Where are the experts to look at this? Art, this guy is as nervous as all get out. He tries to hide his nervousness, he fights a nervous grin not just once but several times. I can see the lips curl and his eyes sparkle. Who is he foolin? What is this guys reason for being so nervous he has to read a scripted message, why when he gets emotional, he fights it and then 3 seconds into it, it stops without a big sigh, he doesnt even breath his way out of the emotions, he just shifts. Just like the 911 call Art, its staged. Why? What is he hiding from? He’s holding back something, something big, big enough to lie about.

Thank you so much for the update and thank you for your dedication in keeping Haleigh in the spotlight.
They say a crime is perpetrated by a person with a motive and an opportunity. After reading your latest update, my head is now spinning with possibilities, although Ron & Misty still appear most suspicious.
Regarding motive and opportunity:
Ron – motive: has a bad temper and is physically abusive. Ron was also under investigation by DCF and may have needed to hide Haleigh for a bit after losing his cool with her. opportunity: Ron, in his own words, is the only person with a key to the trailer — which showed no signs of forced entry. This would explain why Ron is dragging his feet to talk to LE again and it explains why he and Teresa Neves lied about picking Haleigh up at the bus stop.
Misty – Motive: Misty was roughed up by Ron after she told him she was pregnant. Ron, perhaps, told Misty he could not afford to support an additional kid. Maybe Misty sold Haleigh to a dealer, so she could get her fix for the night and so Ron would be in a better position to afford another baby. opportunity: Misty babysat Haleigh every night. This would explain Misty’s lying about that night.
Cousin Joe – motive: he’s a pedophile. opportunity: He had been to Ron’s trailer earlier that day or the day before I believe. Joe could have unlocked Ron’s back door while visiting, so he could reenter later as Misty slept. This would explain why the Croslin van, which he had access to, was damaged that night and why he beat it out of town that night.
Donald Sapp – motive: he’s a pedophile. opportunity: He hangs with Misty and the Croslin family. Could Sapp have unlocked Ron’s back door that afternoon, so he could return again later at night and snatch Haleigh?
Misty’s brother: motive: Don’t know enough about him.
opportunity: He was at Ron’s after Haleigh got home from school. He could have unlocked the back door, so he could later let himself in later. This also would explain the Croslin family van being moved that night and acquiring a huge scratch on it.
Jerome: motive: He relies on two convicted sex offenders/pedophiles to bail himself out of jail / partner up with him in business (Charles Inghram, Daniel Bass). He also pimps Amber who got into a catfight with Misty that prior weekend. Perhaps, Misty ticked off Amber with her facebook rant ‘I stole your man and I will take your child too’, so Amber asked Jerome to teach Misty a lesson. Amber could have sent Jerome or another dealer to make sure Misty was over sedated that night, bounce on the couch with her to pay for the drugs until she passed out, then the dealer /Jerome could have gone in and taken Haleigh and then sold Haleigh to one of his pedophile associates. This would explain Junior’s ‘man in black’ comment.
In the end though, what is most troubling to me, is
– Ron and Teresa’s need to lie about picking Haleigh up,
– Misty & Ron’s changing stories about who slept where that night
– Misty’s changing stories about why she even awoke at 3 am (to get water vs. use bathroom)
– Ron’s dragging his feet to speak again to LE (Personally, I would run over there asap to clear my name and get LE to focus on the real perp)
– Misty’s original statement in the LE report that Ron ‘arrived 5 minutes’ after Misty saw Haleigh was gone (3:05 am) vs. Ron and Misty’s later claims that Ron arrived home at 3:20, which would have been almost a half hour after Misty saw Haleigh was gone.
– The delay in Misty / Ron call 911 (did so at 3:27 am)
– Ron’s slip in a Today show video (dated 2/10 or 2/11) that he would trade his ‘life for Haleigh’s life back’.
Re: Ron’s latest video on his lawyers’ website, HelpHaleigh.com
– Ron shakes his head ‘no’ as he urges people to call in more tips. This is typical body language of someone who is lying and truly feels the opposite of what they are saying.
– I was also surprised Ron did not pause or well up with tears before he spoke to Haleigh on camera. Instead, he merely paused before he urged viewers to call in more tips, as if he forgot his script.
Unless Haleigh’s meds /med supplies at Ron’s trailer were missing in action when LE arrived at that early a.m., I think LE should be focusing on what time Ron left for work according to witness, what time he arrived at work, what time he left work, and what time he arrived home. I also think LE should search on the roadside along Ron’s entire route to work.

Art, remember Jessica Lunsford’s case? In your opinion, if Haleigh met the same fate, could she be near her home like Jessica was? Could the police have overlooked something? Also, do you know if the St. John’s River Current was checked to see where she could have flowed if she was placed in the river? With what’s happening now in the Cantu case, I’m wondering if there are any pedo porn rings surrounding Satsuma. Have you heard any chatter regarding such activity? What about trafficking? It is my opinion that sex offenders tend to live near one another, so as to blend in…especially in areas that have an “easy market” to feed their appetites. I think that’s why so many RSO’s live near amusement parks, shores, campgrounds, etc. What’s your take on this, your opinion? In your gut, do you feel Ron & Misty may know more? Or do you think that maybe somebody seedy that has become part of their family is the culprit? With all the deadends in this case, I’m wondering if maybe they are actually hiding something. today is one of those frustrating days we all have. I’m really p… at Ron and Misty. After that interview, I feel like they are feeling- Honey I was sleeping – Baby I was at work. those two sentences should clear us. Yah! lets get married and go on… happy – happy – hhaapppyyy – Oh I better get on TV and thank every one… Sorry people… I just want them drug in and make them stay until they tell the honest truth. I would love to know the inconsistancies in their lie detec. tests. If Misty was sleeping when Haleighy was taken, I don’t think they would be dragging her in so much. To the person claiming Ron Cummings will not meet with LE. Where do you get that information? The task force has to set up a date where they can have everyone present that they need to be present. This includes not only LE on their end but Ron’s lawyer on his end. I have never found evidence that Ron Cumming’s would not meet with LE. The only reason he even has a lawyer is that he really had to get one. Kim Picazio was on every show she could get on and she was lying about a playground injury. He had to get a lawyer to keep his son. Anyone that would allow this Lawyer to continue to lie and not lawyer up would be crazy. Ron has a lawyer because Crystal got a lawyer. Not a very responsible one either. Who brought in Crystal’s lawyer?
I heard it was Cobra. Cobra has complaints about Ron getting a lawyer. Well, Cobra you bringing in Kim caused that. So lets not complain about it.

What is up with that area of FL? Now we learn a bounty hunter is also a SEX OFFENDER??? How did that happen? This case just gets more weirder as the weeks go by and still, no Haleigh and you wanna know why? She, I feel was murdered by Misti, at least I have the guts to say it and I would say it to her face, let her try to lie to me. I think she did not like playing second fiddle to the children, no matter what this low life clan says and she killed Haleigh and that is why her stories have changed. If you speak the truth, your story will not change from the first interview to the last, and I saw her on the Today show and clearly, she was as nervous as a cat and why have we not seen her out and about, she in hiding??? Jane has asked her to appear on her show and if I was not guilty of anything, I would show up and defend myself. But what can you expect out of an uneducated, brain dead twit? Could Chuck’s Bail Bond, be a money laundering front? There has to be alot of cash, hidden or circulating in this otherwise very poor area – somewhere. I bet alot of the locals have a pretty good idea who has the drug money. LE has to know too.
If we had more of the facts, if LE would release more information, like they did in the Anthony case – We could put this puzzle together. It’s like pulling teeth. I hope (for the Putnam County area), that this is soon resolved, the interest in this case, ISN’T going to go away. It’s like some people have just written the entire area off. Why is this?
I keep wondering how Ron’s gun ended up in a ditch off the side of a road near his home. I don’t think he put it there, so who did? Could have the children been playing with it? Why did the dogs hit (three) times on the dumptser? I don’t want to think about it, but it doesn’t add up that there wasn’t a body in there.

I saw the video. It seems to me that he isn’t trying to muster up emotion for Haleigh…I believe he got mad at himself because he was about to repeat his “thank you’s” again. He apparently started reading at the top of his cue card again after reading it the first time and it flustered him and caused him to have to try to refocus on where he left off. I too, believe that he looked at peace and almost in a serene state. I haven’t tried to judge any of the family, because I truly don’t know who to blame, but I do have to wonder, WHY is almost everybody in the whole world looking for Haleigh EXCEPT for Ron & Misty? Rose-Ok so we have a local reporter saying HE saw a small child’s footprint…no follow up by cops to make a cast, a photo, or any impression that would document it was a foot size like Haleigh…not terribly reliable but widely reported and taken as gospel that someone found what could have been her footprint…tx for the research!

Jan–As for Chad Reynolds, rumor had it that he told someone he’d been sleeping in a dumpster and to meet him there. No proof of that. But according to a local story I read, his mother reported him missing from another county, Marion, where he was living at home…around Feb. 3…six days before Haleigh was reported missing. He’d been at a bar night before, and foul play a real possibility…If his GPS doesn’t put him near Haleigh as well, I’m leaning to rule him out, as investigators have with all the local pedophiles and registered SOs. He’d committed his crime IN Putnam, but was living in another county…

Rose–Re Chuck…you found him. You also recall he bonded out Daniel Snodgrass, the accused predator who was scheduled to go on trial in August for capital sex offenses. He’s the guy who tried to donate furniture to the HBug center before manager Jeremiah Regan declined on the grounds of charges against him. He apparently used Chuck because he was demanding no collateral; Donna Jaquith of A-1 Bail Bonds tells me she demanded a house note, but his girlfriend declined to put her house up to guarantee he’d show up for trial.

Thanks for the kind words. I will say it again and again, Ronald has not been accused or charged with any crime, and denies he’s in any way guilty of anything having to do with Haleigh gone missing. His lawyers do not return calls, though they do diss accusatory reports in their press releases. So be it. You have to assume he’s a grieving father even if his expression of grief in the way he acts it out in restaurants and bars makes it hard for many to believe.

Only Amber ex I know was Ronald, and I don’t think she’s in touch, though some suggested using her to lure him out and try to loosen his tongue. But Ronald is very smart, and doubt would fall for it…Though a couple of times, Crystal’s family tells me he approached her to get back together, sounded like during Misty mishaps…once when their tents were near each other at the vigil site. But she declined. I’m sure RC would deny that.
On the run: I’m told Amber is in hiding, believing cops are looking for her when they are not, perhaps confused that her mother may be in their crosshairs.

Art – I think Ronald is smart and playing things cool. It will be hard to trip him at this point.
IMO, there was an alterior motive for calling Cobra in the midnight hour, per Cobra’s video. Why hasn’t he met with LE with his attorney, if he doesn’t have anything to hide? Where has Misty been lately? No one seems to see her on camera anymore. Instead of his wife beside him during the LAX4 interview, it was Teresa Neves again.
I don’t think LE has put Crystal in the area at the time of Haleigh’s disappearance. If she is involved, it is not showing at this point. IMO, I still think it is Misty and Ronald or at least they know.

Art, I love reading your reports on haleigh, You seem to be the only one still interested in finding her. I usually look a couple times a day on your site to see if theres any news about her. I saw you on nancy grace, and thought you did a great job, Nancy sometimes cuts people off when they are talking and it irratates me because they may be trying to tell something important about the case and she just cuts them off. grr, anyhow art you investigation on this case is really wonderful and i think if she is ever found it will be because of your reporting.

i was listening to kim p’s comments about the hbc, and am curious exactly what qualifications marie griffis or crystal sheffield have to be president and vice-president of a not-for-profit organization!?! what an absolute joke! we’re talking about 2 women who barely have high school diploma between them, and they’re president and vice president of an organization? LOL! not-for-profit – does this mean they’ll change the purpose of the “organization” from supporting crystal to actually helping with the cost of the search(i.e. Cobra, LE, etc.)? and now marie’s a spokesperson at events? this woman can barely form a sentence using proper english (and factual occurences), let alone be a spokesperson! i also noticed kim says crystal’s “now a stay-at-home mom.” as opposed to what? the career she had going for her before haleigh went missing? i can hardly stand to listen to the spin she keeps putting on this situation. it just gets worse and worse!

Art, I respectfully beg to differ. I think Ron is as dumb as a box of rocks; however, he may be “street smart” but as far as any semblence of intelligence, I say a big NO.
As far as he trying to get back together with Amber, I would not put it past him, as he strikes me as the type of idiot who MUST have a woman, umm..girl by his side at all times in order to make himself feel like a big man..plus..he Loves the control thing.
And IMO, Amber is probably so strung out on drugs that she is paranoid.

It cannot be debated whether a childs footprint was found ..
Who it belonged to, & how long it had been there are the questions ..
They found it due to the canine leading them along Haleighs scent trail ..
Whether they thought much of it at the time , or took a casting impression has not been made public to my knowledge.
BUT it did spark enough interest that the person writing the report took note of the fact Ronald stated that Haleighs shoes were still in the home ..
Here is the last two paragraphs from the report :
“Police initiateda track beginning at the back door and down a wooded path, as we travelled down the wooded path, we located what appeared to be asmall child’s footprint in the dirt. It should be noted that Ronald said Haleigh’s shoes were still located inside the residence. The track lead up to a small pond and then back to the railroad crossing. At the last residence on the right side of the Green Drive was a small building with a door which had been left open. I entered the building but found no one insire
The track then continued past the north residence, where police made a left turn on Monroe Avenue. We made another left onto Buchan Circle, which we followed in a loop back to Monroe Avenue. We then made a left onto Tyler Street, and travelled past 116 Tyler, which is a location where Misty stated she had walked with Haleigh in the past. We then made a right turn on BUffalo Bluff Road to the railroad crossing, where we found were forced to end the track, because the canonwas unable to follow it any further. ”

I am not aware of how long a human scent can last outside but I doubt it would be there for any considerable amount of time due to environmental conditions .. Wind, Rain, etc..

Greg talked to Misty Monday & being that she said she would call him later .. Misty never said to Greg that she was getting back together with Ron ..
SO THAT MAKES 2 people that had a belief that NO ONE WAS GOING TO BE IN RONALDS HOUSE THAT NIGHT because Ronald had to go to work .. & Misty & Ronald were believed to be broken up ..
As far as the locked door ,.. I am sure that with the crowd they hang around with SOMEONE knows how to pick a lock !!
They go in,.. Turn on the light ,.. BECAUSE NO ONES THERE RIGHT ??.. They are quietly looking for the drugs, money, or weapons when who pops up ?? .. A sleepy little Haleigh that was woken up by the light.. You can tell by the angle of the rooms that the kitchen light would have been directly on the area whrere Haleigh was laying while the rest of the room & the bed Misty & Junior were in would have been dark still ..
They didn’t know what to do .. They couldn’t just walk out .. Maybe someone was there that Haleigh recognized .. Someone they brought with them because that person had been in the house & knew the layout & location.. They decided .. Lets take her .. All they found was Rons gun to which they realized they couldn’t get caught with because it would link them to the house .. So they threw it in the ditch or in the canal & continued to flee .. ” …
So,.. After I read that Haleighs scent ended at the railroad tracks I still couldn’t figure out why someone would to avoid detection take a path through some brush or woods instead of taking the main road from the Cummings home to only then walk to a parked car sitting my the railroad tracks as though that would not be suspicious in it’s self ..
I thought & thought about it then I realized .. Maybe the car had not been sitting there the entire time .. Perhaps the person or persons who snatched Haleigh used their trusty cell phone to make the call for the driver to come & get them .. To have the car waiting at that point .. By the railroad tracks .. That would explain why the scent ended there ..
The railroad tracks are isolated in the sense that only a couple of homes can see the tracks clearly .. & In the middle of the night they may not be awake or pay any attention to any activity due to the usual traffic ..
Now the house closest to the tracks right there on Tyler St. used to be owned by a couple who were from up North & used the home when they decided to come down ..
I am not aware whether they still own the property or not..
I believe those scent dogs were on the right track ..

Naplesfla, Ron Cummings has been cooperative with LE by all accounts. They have to tell him when to come in and they have to coordinate with his attorney. The people at LE that want to meet with him as well as his attorney have to set it up. Just because they have not does not mean Ron Cumming’s is not wanting to meet with them. I have not heard LE at any time say Ron Cumming’s did not cooperate have you? On the Today Show LE gave a statement that they are satisfied the Ronald Cumming’s really does not know where his daughter is. They have said he was at work. What more do you need?

Art thanks for your post. Ron Cumming’s has issues no denying that. But to turn that into him killing his daughter who he loved very much is just wrong. He loved her so much and everyone knew it apparently. He had Haleigh tattoo all across his back in huge letters. I do have to wonder if someone hurt Haleigh to hurt Ron. That would explain why Junior was left behind, thank God. I also wonder if Misty was out or passed out and Haleigh was up.
She changed her clothing. She could have turned on the light since she is afraid of the dark. Someone could have come with other intentions like to steal and she was up and they got her to come with them. She would have to know them. But it seems possible. I also have to worry about these sex offenders. Seems like the most likely person to want to steal a little girl would be a sex offender.

Pepper, All of your post sounds good but the part about Ron. Many people who kill their kids might have had an ounce of love for them and more. Angry people do kill with a lot of remorse. Anger issues are scarey. Who had the issue? It would have been a po’d drug dealer or cousin who were ripped off, a crashing Misty, sneaky exgirlfriend, or an angry father. I can find two choices out of these people. That’s assuming no pedo’s are involved for sure. Known or unknown. I am also leaning towards unknown slightly.
Wish Haleigh could be found now.

Pepper – I am not saying Ronald is involved direct, but definitely indirectly. His rush to marrying Misty brought huge red flags. This is the same man who called her a fb and blamed her for Haleigh being missing. Why not wait until Haleigh is home safe and sound? He says he loves her and the weekend of partying didn’t matter. Strong love could have waited too. His 1st priorty was not Haleigh, IMO
Haleigh would have wanted them to get married, then wait so Haleigh can be present.
BTW, the first thing that Casey did after Caylee was “gone” was get a tattoo. That is something to think about too!
There were drugs in the past and he was accused of giving someone a pill. LE says no money exchanged so hard to charge. IMO, he is still doing the same thing, just not getting busted. These children are exposed to and seeing far more than they should. He has a short fuse also. I believe he made the statemet to Cobra “You keep your friends close, your enemies closer?” Good reason to get married huh?

I did notice in the 911 call,Misty started going over the script,”OK I PUT HER TO BED @8:00pm BECAUSE UMH.. THAT’S HER BED TIME AAH…YA KNO..CUZ..SHE HAS SCHOOL”and yadyad before the 911 op. even asked her what exactly happend.just sounded too rehersed IMO.Each time this STORY was told it always began with,”OK”not to mention she[Misty]almost always made it a point to say “umh bcuz she has school.” WE ALL KNOW SHE HAS SCHOOL.
Cobra also mentioned 2day in the interveiw that JR knew how to prop a door open and what size brick was needed.This may or may not mean anything,but I wonder if LE has looked into this.

This is a story of the most pathetic group of people that I have ever seen gathered together in one group. A lot of people don’t have much money, but that is no excuse for raising children among drug dealers, prostitutes, child molesters and emotionally and physically abusive people. Neither parent should have any of the children involved and I am sure, just based on the facts in these posts, that child protective services could take them away.
As for Nancy Grace, she HAS gotten very rude to her guests. I think the reason that she dropped this case is that in the beginning she came on so strong for Ron and Misti’s side. When she realized what they really were, she was embarrassed and just dropped it hoping people would forget that she had made the wrong choice and she could try to save face.
Despite the white trash (not because they are poor, but the way they behave) involved in this situation, I pray that Hayleigh will be brought back safe and sound…and then placed in a safe, secure, loving environment far away from the criminal element that she has been exposed to.

Naples, how the moderation works is that Art reads and approves (and somes responds to while posting) each and every post that comes to this site. Sometimes he’s travelling, interviewing, investigating, etc., and can’t take time to sit down and read/approve each post – and with some of them being 20,000 words long, it becomes increasingly difficult to find time to do all of the above as quickly as we’d all like (which is why it’s important to make them as BRIEF as possible, while still getting our point across). If it takes him 1/2 hr. to read one post (usually yours or rose reds), how likely is he to get the the other 75 waiting in moderation as busy as he is? And while YOUR’RE posting, there are several dozen OTHER posters posting, falling in line/que behind YOUR most recent post. I have been watching this story very carefully and lately the only news I can find is on this website. I don’t understand why Nancy and JVM are refusing to investigate this story any further. I have my opinions, but they are not important. The comment I wanted to make was that Ron has stated on severl occassions that he (himself) had installed a deadbolt lock on the back door that HE alone had the key to. So I have come to the conclusion that either someone with a key opened that back door or someone unlocked it from the inside.

Art, what happens to NayNay and Ambers bonds now that Jerome’s in jail? He’s certainly in no position now to assure either one of them show up for court. Will they get picked up again, or will the bail bondsman let it slide? Also, I know you touched on it briefly in this article, but how were they able to get the bond responsibility changed over for Amber from Cobra to Jerome?
2 Spunk–Good questions. He paid the money, and Chuck’s doesn’t have to give it back, it’s a non refundable fee, like a non refundable plane ticket. They can get in as much trouble as they want and wind up back in jail, maybe get another bond set, and get out again if they can get someone to pay the money. But for now, they’ve not violated their bond, and there’s no reason for Chuck to send someone to pick them up unless they skip court.
Then he’s got a certain amount of time to produce them or he has to put up the balance for each about $2,400.
Remember after Cobra put Nay Nay back in jail it was Jerome via Chuck’s –his longtime bondsman –who got her out on, with a little help from landlord Daniel Bass, one bonding company tells me. It was very strange how they got Amber out from under Jerome’s bond and out from under Cobra…She threatened to flee, representing herself as a flight risk, and Donna Jaquith felt a little queasy as her bail bondsman described. But she’d done nothing wrong, so no reason to violate her. Still no one was demanding she give her fee up and off Amber went to the jail to turn herself in, which is rare if ever done, only to be b onded out with in the hour by Chucks for Jerome.–art

Rose Red, thank you for your posts. I would rather read something a little longer than usual, thought out, and your opinion with conclusions. I really think everyone on here has one thing in common, they CARE. I do not like reading posts from people slapping others with insults or name calling. If there is a particular poster i wouldn’t want to read i would just skip it. If Art has posted it than apparently he does have the time. And i guess thats just part of the territory of having a web site with a comment section.

Why is it so hard to believe that Ron & Misty had nothing to do directly with Haleigh having seemingly vanished ? ..
Especially now that a much broader picture has been painted with regards to their family, friends, & how they choose to live their life ? ..
I think Haleighs diasappearence is absolutely solvable ..
1 . Misty covering for Ron – NOT
2 . Ron Covering for Misty – NOT
3 . Intruder plans invasion & burglary under assumption that no one was home due to recent upsets in the tennants relationship with his girlfriend & she was last thought to be staying with her brother .. & Got more than what was bargained for when that assumption was found to be WRONG !.. , & winds up with a child , & only a firearm for their trouble.. To which once they realized the gun would link them back to the house if ever caught with it in their possession decides to toss it in a ditch & continue to flee with the only witness that could possibly know them or identify them ..
4 . Intruder plans invasion , kidnapping, & burglary with full knowledge that the tennant has a firearm but decides .. Ahh, I’m 10 feet tall & bullet proof .. Then continues with the intent to take only the female child but willing to take all , or to murder , or tie up anyone else & take only the girl .. Grabs the gun on their way out

Even if the drug house loot rumour has nothing to do with this ..
It is still a widely known fact amongst those who know Ron or of him that he has prescription medication in his possession on a regular basis ..
People will knock over a pharmacy, vets office,break in to homes, go from one doctor to the next to get a prescription, check themselves into the hospital complaining of unbelieveable pain, hang around a pharmacy & wait for someone to pick up their own prescription & either snatch it off of them in the parking lot or follow the person home & retrieve it from them there , etc.. etc..
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION is just as sought after as crack , pot, beer, & on & on & on …
I think it would help narrow down the suspects possibly by having Ron explain how he managed his firearm ..
Does he hide it extremely well ? ..
Good enough for someone to have to know where it was in order to find it ? ..
Did he always keep it in the same location ? ..
Who all for sure knew he had it ? ..
Where was it at on the night Haleigh & it were taken ? ..

THE PILLS –
Even though he had a prescription for them surely he didn’t carry them with him when he went to work ..
Were they left at home the night that Haleigh went missing ?

It seem like everybody has a different opinion about Nancy Grace lately. Well, I am one of those. Did anybody see her Monday night show? I believe it was an attorney (maybe LE)that was asked to weigh in. He told her she was a joke and her show was a joke. She asked the producers to cut him. Nobody has ever talked to her like that!! Just last week another guest laughed and made fun of her when she interrupted him. Maybe she will soon realize she is NOT Amazing Grace.

Naples, how the moderation works is that Art reads and approves (and somes responds to while posting) each and every post that comes to this site. Sometimes he’s travelling, interviewing, investigating, etc., and can’t take time to sit down and read/approve each post – and with some of them being 20,000 words long, it becomes increasingly difficult to find time to do all of the above as quickly as we’d all like (which is why it’s important to make them as BRIEF as possible, while still getting our point across). If it takes him 1/2 hr. to read one post (usually yours or rose reds), how likely is he to get the the other 75 waiting in moderation as busy as he is? And while YOUR’RE posting, there are several dozen OTHER posters posting, falling in line/que behind YOUR most recent post. Now multiply that by however many other articles he’s got going at any given time and see what you get. See how that works?

Pepper – I think Lisa Brooks because I feel it was a female that took Haleigh, it was someone Haleigh knew and trusted, also someone that was aware of Haleigh’s medical condition. Amber and Ron lived together for 3 years I believe, Haleigh knew both Lisa and Amber. Misty’s childish comment about taking Amber’s baby may just have been enough for Lisa & friend to teach Misty a lesson, what better way than taking Ron’s heart (Haleigh) knowing it would leave Misty in the s**t!! It may also explain why Ron was at Grandma Brooks house that evening, looking for Haleigh not Jordan. And I wonder why Amber is now in hiding, is it really because she thinks the police are looking for her? Art has said that they aren’t.

Will they please just find Haleigh!! It seems to me that Crystal got out of the whole drug situation and was getting her life straight and Ronald has yet to do that…he put his kids in a bad situation and around bad people. He should be at the police station anytime they need to speak to him and he should be MAKING Misty talk..not keeping her quiet!

To Amber Milan: One of my conclusions about Nancy Grace is that I too think that she is embarrassed because she gravitated to the side of Ron and Misty. I also think that she offended Crystal Sheffield and her family and in the end they would not correspond with her. Therefore, she was left with no sources on the story(except Art Harris) why by the way, I commend for keeping up the fight for Haleigh. I would like to add one other conclusion on my part. The amount of drug use in that community is not surprising to me. Florida is the prescription drug capital of the country. I live in SE TN and I know people who have traveled to FL to see doctors to get these medicines. It is the only state in the country that doesn’t have a prescription drug data base. Why this is so, I have no idea. This probably isn’t important in the search for Haleigh, but I do believe it may explain the actions of a lot of the people involved in this. Keep praying for Haleigh.

Sherry, you are correct about the heavy drug use/abuse and the pill mills. Fortunately for us here in FL a new bill was just passed to enforce the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. It may also cut down on the number clinics that can stay open, who owns them and the amount a doc can prescribe. My husband is in legit pain mgmt. and I can tell you we are so happy that this finally passed and bunch of these druggies can be put out of business. If someone trully needs pain mgmt. and they got it the legal/legit way then they will have no problem!

It is a shame another child is missing!!Many other children have been abducted-from their beds,through the years.Just because this is clearly a poor family.From the wrong side of the tracks.Does not mean that Ronald,or Misty-harmed that little girl.When It is all over with,They will most likly find her little body-When one of those sick child molesters-that the state set free has finished with her.Shame on Florida people!!! Was it the fault of a decent family-when their child was, snatched from under their noses.While they slept.And didnt hear a thing.And it has happened.If Ronald cummings was such a bad drug-addict,he wouldnt be holding down a job.Misty,is young an a party girl!! But calling Ronald at work-asking him what to do to get the child to settle down,doesnt sound like someone who would harm a child.She would have busted the childs butt-an that would have been that!! Ger, it would be one thing if what Naples wrote were original and not repetitive from day 1. As MANY posters on Art’s sites have commented, what she posts is what she heard from someone who heard from someone who thought they may have heard. Then when she’s pressed for the accuracy or verifiability of the sources, her response is always “I read it here.” Well, if she read it here, I’m betting the rest of us did as well.

They call me J, what are YOU doing to help find Haleigh? You come to Art’s site to condemn him, yet you’ve brought nothing to the table. He puts more blood, sweat and tears into this case than anyone else I’ve seen, and HE’S NOT GETTING PAID. Where do you get that? If you know something, then tell it. If you don’t, quit condemning Art for his work, otherwise, you’re just being mean-spirited and hypocritical.

that would be nice noreen. shes not been paying it with all the dough shes collected since haleigh disappeared so i’m not holding out much hope! so sad all these people have these babies and cant/wont take care of them.

Cobra has done all he can do for this case….he offered to do this case pro-bono….if he cant afford to do this anymore than he needs to step away and let the real cops do their job…They question people everyday without a camera in their face….They sit hour after hour going over leads , questioning people, watching things, setting things up….all without cameras in their faces….we never see this….why…because they are doing their job….not seeking glory…just seaking Haleigh!
Then to make matters worse, they have to answer calls from people complaining about Cobra and the silly things he is doing, he hasnt found out one thing …not one clue…that LE didnt already know! Just caused them to have to leave their job of looking for Haleigh to come take a statement about Cobra and the silly little act he has going on! He’s not looking for Haleigh…He’s looking for stardom, he sits down at MeMa’s half the day, talking about Haleigh and finding her, if he did as much searching as he does showboating he might actually get something done! I go out every day and put up posters of Haleigh, take old ones down, wear my Haleigh shirt, my braclet, and look around, ask other people to look around…all without a camera………If Cobra wanted to find Haleigh he wouldnt wait for the camera man to get ready and set up and come with him…he would just go!!!!!! Stop playing games and stop begging for money……Just Stop!!!!!!

Here we go again the good guy looses and the bad guy wins. When will this ever change for our country. We are so concern for the rights of the criminals that all the moral values of our great Nation have been lost. God help us. I do not understand the men of Samsuna do the have no B A L L S. Have you not head a CHILD IS MISSING. This town reminds me of the old west days when all the good people would run and hide when the bad guys rode into town. I GUESS THEIR STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO RIDE INTO TOWN AND CLEAN UP THEIR MESS. Will guess what Corba and Art have arrived and where are you. O yea I guess you are still hiding. I hope and pray that Haleigh will be found soon. But I do not believe she is alive and that this Police Department can solve this case. I wounder why the Governor of Florida has not sent some extra investigators into this area or ask the D.N.A. or the F.B.I. Public Integrity Unit to investigate this department. Is Ron’s Mother still working for this Sheriff Dept. are is it the Police Department. Why are the the citizens just out rage with this whole case. Maybe the Governor has not heard either that a Little girl name Haleigh is missing SHAME ON YOU TO. As for Ron how to you lay down a sleep next to the person who is not even willing to help with the infestation to help find YOUR Daughter Haleigh. It would make my skin crawl.

Poor Ron–he’s skeletal, absolutely gaunt, and he can’t seem to produce children who aren’t disabled in some way, for some reason. Well, at least Amber wasn’t NURSING the poor little thing offspring.
Does he become bored with them, like, maybe when they turn 26, and then does he trade them in for two 15-year-olds? In defense of those folks, Amber’s father’s wife, pregnant or just having given birth, is AT LEAST THREE YEARS OLDER THAN AMBER.

This is not a tip, but an observation about the Haleigh case. I sent
this to Nancy Grace awhile back but never heard back and never
heard it mentioned on any of the shows I have watched.
I know the police have mentioned inconsistences in the baby
sitter’s story, but wondered if they ever picked up on this.
The baby-sitter said she “got our of bed, went into the kitchen and
saw the back door open.”
There is no way she could have seen the back door open. There
are two doors, a screen door, which was propped open and a
wooden door in front of that.
It was demonstrated on one of Nancy’s shows that the wooden
door closed automatically as it must be a little off center on its
hinges.
When the “person” who “snatched” Haleigh went out the door, the
wooden door would have closed by itself and there is no way the
baby sitter could have seen the screen door propped open through
the wooden door.

I THINK THINGS WENT WRONG REAL FAST, POSSIBLY, HALEIGH BUG SAW MISTY DOING WHAT A OR THE BLACK MAN WITH SQEAKY SHOES ON AND GOT UPSET AND WAS GOING TO TELL DADDY RONALD ON HER. OR, HALEIGH BUG WET THE BED AGAIN, AND IT MADE MISTY MAD AND SHE BEAT THE LIFE OUT OF HER, RONALD CAME HOME, HELPED HER DISPOSE OF THE BODY, SO HE WOULDNT LOSE CUSTODY OF HIS SON, AND WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT. OR, A BAD DRUG DEAL GONE BAD, RON OWED MONEY FOR DRUGS, AND SOMEONE TOOK LITTLE HALELIGH BUG AWAY AND KILLED HER. OMG! THERE SEEMS TO BE SUCH EVIL DOOERS IN THAT TOWN AND THE BACK WOODS! I LIVED IN THE SOUTH , THEY HAVE THEIR OWN CODES DOWN THERE THEY LIVE BY, IN THEM THAR WOODS!!!!

#198,199,&200 From what I could gather, that Automatic door was made for the last handicap individual who lived there, thats why they had the ramp and all. The auto door was made so the wheelchair could glide through and the door sensor tells it to shut so the individual would not have to turn the wheelchair around to shut the door in that small hallway. With that said the “insider” knew by propping the door that the main door would not shut and cause noise then pulled it shut quietly on the way out. I may be wrong but i’m assuming thats what the “bricking” was meant for. P.S. I also heard that cousin joe was known for using bricks on doors in previous breakins elsewhere. Just food for thought.

i just took a look at pictures of Daniel Aubrey Bass(above) and this guy Chad Donald Elliott that just got arrested( the one who hosted the house party in the mondex letter) and they look kinda the same. Could they be the same person using aliases. Both are 47 !!! Coincidence or not? With 2 months of coverup on his skull and all the coke , his face seems sunken! The connection seems clearer when WB Greg Page is a roomate of Chad who is 47 and Amber Brooks gets bailed out by similar looking guy Daniel Bass whos 47 !!!
