Kristina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, Misty Cummings Gal Pal Talks to Cobra

In an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, we watch a party pal of Misty Cummings, Kristina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, describe Misty’s spree of drugs, sex and rock and roll with “White Boy Greg” Page, after running from what she says Misty described as abuse by Ronald Cummings, and her duties babysitting his children, Haleigh and Junior.
“When I picked her up” mid-week before Haleigh vanished, Prevatt tells pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter William Staubs, aka “Cobra” on The Bald Truth at artharris.com, “she said (Cummings) threw her against the mirror and she said her arm was all cut up and stuff because she said she was pregnant, and he said, it wasn’t his baby, and he rolled her up and tried to squeeze her into a ball.”
Why was Ronald Cummings angry? “She had a pregnancy test, said it was positive,” said Prevatt in her first television interview. “(It) might have been her sister’s because her sister was pregnant.”
Soon, Prevatt says Misty described how Ronald dropped her off at her brother’s house, and she began walking, then called for Nay Nay to pick her up–and the three day party began.
To hear Prevatt tell it, she squired Misty (then Croslin) and Page to nearby St. Augustine in her blue Lincoln to party.
In an earlier interview, Prevatt told me that Misty ran into Amber Brooks at one party, and the two women had to be pulled apart. Page said Misty was smoking pot, doing cocaine and taking âRoxies.â
According to this new interview with Prevatt on The Bald Truth, she gave a ride to a prostitute she knew named Lindsay, and it was on to Crescent City, and a house full of Hispanic laborers âwho were acting real crazy.â Prevatt says she wanted to stay in the car with Misty, but Greg insisted they all wait inside while Lindsay went to work.
Prevatt tells Cobra, who Monday night bonded both Prevatt and Amber Brooks out of the Putnam County Jail where they were being held on felony cocaine possession charges, that Lindsay agreed to pay her half her sex for hire proceeds for driving, and disappeared into a back room where âall the Mexicans took turns,â paying from $30 to $120 each.
Prevatt says she and Misty were invited to participate. âThey said, we were in their house,â but they declined. âWe sat real close to Greg,â she says, and split âwhen Lindsay got her money.â
As for drugs, she said, âMisty does pills and weed, and xanex, Loritab, but smoking weed, thatâs like her main thing.â
Ronald Cummings, through his attorneys, denies any illegal drug use, though he’s been arrested numerous times for drug possession and once plead no contest to the charges.
After the two day party, Prevatt says that Saturday night before Haleigh vanished turned to Sunday morning and Misty asked to be dropped at her brotherâs house. Prevatt says Misty was trying to conceal she was talking âlike secretlyâ to Ronald on the phone.
âI guess he asked her to bring a condom,â says Prevatt, âand I didnât have any condoms.â
Nay Nay says she dropped Misty at her brotherâs house. âShe was like, âGotta go to my brotherâs house, gotta watch the kids in the morningâŠ.So I said, âYouâre going to Ronaldâs house, and she said, âNo, Iâm not, no Iâm notâŠCome back in the morning, and help me watch the kids,â but I didnât end up doing that.”
For her part, Prevatt says she was so exhausted after dropping off Croslin, she crashed at Lindsayâs house in Flagler Estates nearby, and woke up at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. When she called Misty later that week, Haleigh was missing, and Prevatt says Misty told her âthe same thing Iâd heard on the news, something about the kitchen light.â Then I heard her sister in the background saying, âDonât talk on the phones, the phones are tapped.â Then she hung up.â That was the last time they spoke, she says.
Police say both Brooks and Prevatt have spoken to task force detectives and fully cooperated in recounting what they know about details behind Haleighâs disappearance. Misty Cummings has also spoken several times to detectives who say they are struggling to reconcile conflicts in her stories.
But sources on the team tell me they aim to use Monday’s arrest of Prevatt and Amber Brooks, mother of a third child, a 20 month old disable son named Jordan, by Ronald Cummings, to try to help the women remember more information.
Several weeks after Haleigh turned up missing, Prevatt was back partying, and hooked up with Brooks again, even let her borrow her beige Lincoln.
In her exclusive interview here on The Bald Truth, Prevatt says Amber Brooks got her car stuck in the mud and she found a big dent in the trunk. âAt first she acted like, âI donâtâ know what happened.â Then I said, what the fâdid you do to my trunk?â And she was like, âOh, it must have happened when I paid someone to push the car (out of the mud) when I wasnât there.â
When Cobra asked what Amber had related to her about Ronald and parental discipline, Prevatt said, âAmber says he usually smacks the s—out of Haleigh and Junior, and one time he smacked Junior, and he got like a bloody nose.â
Ronald has denied any abuse, and investigators with the Putnam County Department of Family services once absolved Cummings several years ago of abuse charges after Haleighâs mother, Crystal Sheffield, initially lost custody and tried to challenge a court order to regain it.
A Miami family law attorney, Kim Picazio, has launched her own investigation of the charges, and says Amber Brooks and others have described slaps that have lead to bloody noses. Says Picazio in an interview with The Bald Truth Monday, âAmber told me Ronald always explained Junior had a âweak nose,â and thatâs why he bled so much.â
At the time, county child advocates ruled that his parental discipline was within acceptable department guidelines. âThey have a bunch of nice clothes,â observes Prevatt, who spent time with Brooks when she was going with Cummings.
As the cupid behind the wheel who put Misty in the arms of White Boy Greg Page the weekend before Haleigh vanished, she says she was recently startled when the Cummings and Croslin klan flagged her down.
They’d been reading all about Misty’s assignation with Greg Page, and Cobra says Cummings acknowledged to him he knew it, but in the scheme of things, it didn’t matter, that he loved Misty, and was trying to keep her close to find out what happened to Haleigh.
But that didn’t mean his pride wasn’t wounded, that his bride to be had slept with another man, much less a light-skinned African American nicknamed White Boy.
Recalls Prevatt, âMistyâs Mom and sister saw me and said, âWhere does White Boy Greg live?â And I was like, âI donât know,â and they said, âRonald … and their Dad are looking for him and want to kill him. Ronaldâs going to shove eleven inches down his throat.ââ
A task force investigator tells me police have heard the same alleged threats, but shrugged it off as red clay hubris, a once cocky rooster trying to regain his strut.
For his part, police say theyâve ruled out Page and say heâs fully cooperated in the Haleigh probe. In our exclusive interview, Page told me he doesnât know what happened after he left a message for Misty a day before she reported Haleigh gone. He says she never called back.
Sources inside the investigation tell me Page was forthcoming about his wild weekend with Misty, who also confirmed some details of their sexcapade. As for the threats, Page has heard about them, and says he’s laying low.

This is the biggest bunch of trash I have ever seen. These people are low life and that little boy needs to be taken away from them all including the grandparents. I would beat them all senseless until someone admits what happened to Haleigh. Why all the pussyfooting around them? Everyone acts like they are scared of Ronald Cummings. He is a two bit thug and I would love to see him taken down. That Chrystal is trash too, she dosen’t need those kids either. No telling what they did with Haleigh. I hope Amber loses custody of her son. Obviously, she is another one who just does not get it. So, she is arrested for cocaine posession and is asked, “do you have any drugs on you??” She says, “No” and then they find drugs on/in her at jail. Hello????? The chick doesn’t get it. Probably why her son has physical issues.
As far as Ron, WTH???? And what the hell does “eleven inches” mean?? I KNOW what it means, but come on…do people really talk like that? I hope they have really checked all these druggies. I hope that some freak on drugs did not take her. Drugs bring out the freak in people. IMO someone very close has taken her. I pray that her father or mother is not involved, but things don’t look good. One other thing I wanted to say. Ronald (IMHO) may have done some things to become less dependant on his mother (bet she stifled his drug use while he lived with her!) but has shown terrible judgement in his bringing his druggie girlfriend/now wife into the children’s lives.
I hope DCF dies the right thing where JR is concerned. He may not be in immediate danger as long as his Mom and Grandmother are monitoring the situation but I DO NOT believe Ronald has shown a willingness to change and use good judgement in his discipline or choice of childcare arrangements.
The decision on where to place his children for their safety and wellbeing needs to be seriously re-examined NOW before he disappears with all of his children (including the child Amber had).

Nay Nay’s comments reaffirm my belief that Jr. should be living with Crystal. However, I still worry about Crystal’s fiance’s behaviour, given his record of abusing his own children. I fear this could hurt Crystal’s chances of getting Ron Jr. if she remains with her fiance.
Here is what I am having difficulty reconciling:
— Jr. has stated that he saw a ‘black man dressed in black take sissy’. This would indicate that someone other than Ronald Cummings was the perpetrator.
— Ron and his mother have both lied about each one being the individual who picked up Haleigh from the bus stop the day she went missing. Meanwhile, a neighbor insists Misty picked them up. First, I wonder if this neighbor remembers what Haleigh was wearing that day and if the description matches that recalled by Haleigh’s teacher. More importantly, why would Ron and his mother lie if they are innocent? I can only think that it is because Ron murdered Haleigh and mom is trying to protect her darling son.
Misty, with her inconsistant stories, clearly has some involvement in either scenario.
I am wondering if the skin cells on the cinder block propping open the door had either skin cells from Ron, Misty, or an unknown person on it.
I am also wondering if Nay Nay or Amber know of anyone who fits Jr’s ‘man in black’ description (possibly Misty’s dealer?) – or – if they have ideas about who Misty partied with the night Haley went missing.
One last thing…,
re: KP’s abuse claims against Ronald
My children, who are younger than Haleigh, have each fallen from jungle gyms at local playgrounds. They landed on their knees, bottom legs, and forearms. Their faces did not get marked up. I can understand how Haleigh might have scraped her nose on concrete when she fell at school, given that the nose protudes from the face. However, it makes no sense to me whatsoever that flat concrete or a monkey bar could have poked into her eye socket and given her a black eye on her lower and bottom eye socket.
Can Amber verify whether she ever witnessed Ron used his fist on his children or on her?

We knew there was more to the story and I’m sure there is still alot more–like WHAT HAPPENED TO HALEIGH? Misty & Ronald did something to that little girl or they know who did. IMO
But these people are pure white trash–no, I take that back since that would be an insult to white trash. They are just scum of the earth. I am from WV and believe me I know white trash and would probably throw myself into that catagory sometimes but these people are way beyond that. There is no shame to what they do or who they hurt. They seem proud to be uneducated, unemployed & drug-addicted. I suppose there are good decent people in Satsuma but so far the players in this drama havent represented them very well. And that includes LE–of course that is just MO since we dont know exactly what they are or arent doing but from the media reports it doesnt seem like much.

Black man in black from Junior is given little credence by FBI behavioural experts who met with him. Sources tell me. A child may have some investigative value even if such young testimony won’t wash in court…but this one is a toughie and may not be much use.

Hmmm my question is Misty went on this 3 day weekend binge corect me if I’m wrong fri,sat and sun. was she not the one to watch haleigh and jr. who was wathching them, while she was supposed to be there? I have not heard that in the media. I have been following this from day one(cnn Nancy Grace) and there is so many twists and turns I’m just trying to put the puzzle together(like many of you just bring haleigh home) Someone set this family up put the puzzle together all of a sudden the 2 girls misty was with get arrested on coc poss. hmmm someone knows something.. let me know of any updates please…

This is all too surreal.
I wouldn’t drive through this town (or county) for nothing.
I think these people are white trash and the Sheriff’s department is something out of a bad “Walking Tall” movie.
I think the Florida State Attorney’s office need to launch an investigation into this whole Satsuma mess. Kick Ass and take names later. I believe this poor child is gone forever and Ron Cummings and Misty know exactly what went down.
Thank you Art for keeping Haleigh’s story alive. I only wish her family had loved and cared for her as much as everyone here.

Thanks Art and Jane for being the voice of these 2 little Angels who don’t belong in the Cumming’s House of Horror’s. We have to keep it alive of Missing Haleigh and bring her home safe and alive!! No matter what Ron says he is lying and the truth will all come out in the wash as they say. Misty not coming out nor Ron proves there is something wrong and the world not to mention child services will open their eyes and see that the children don’t belong with the Father. The Truth will be known and Haleigh and JR. will finally be set free. Someone should talk to JR privately and he will tell the truth as to what is going on. I continue to be confused about all sort of things: why LE in that town gives Ron a get out of jail free card once a week or so (grandma working there might be the reason,but it is a bad reason), and now, why on God’s green earth Cobra would bail those two out of jail. He may have ruined the last chance to get some information out of those two. Stuck in jail with no drugs or cigs, they might be willing to deal. However bad or corrupt they might be, those in LE do seem to want to find Haleigh. Unless of course, they already know where Ron has stashed her and are helping him and his child bride and his mama rake in the big kidfinder bucks.

I think the law enforcment handling this case have been keeping quiet not because they are inept- but because they are making sure they get an indictment.
IMHO any law enforcement agency that has the integrity to keep what is going on behind closed doors quiet in such a high profile case should be commended. Let them do their jobs.

To #41 Becca: You have a right to express your opinion but exposing these zombies that live below trash, yet have the money to stay high on drugs is the right thing to do. Yes these are real people, a thorn in society. We need to wake up and start cleaning up our own back yards and protecting innocent children that are getting harmed. Statistics show EXPOSURE will cause enough outrage from the public that the wheels in will be set in motion to find out not only the truth of what happened to Haleigh, but to clean up this drug infested area. I think the Sheriff’s department, IMO

It is because of Art that we are able to find out anything about this case. I think that between Picazio, Cobra and Art Harris, the pressure is building on Ronald, and this is why he’s acting so stupid and crazy. I hope they have him under surveillance, although sometimes I wonder whether they want to solve this case or not. It remains to be seen. I feel that maybe something will happen soon involving Ronald. I would so like this case to be solved, prefferably with Haleigh coming home, but sadly, I don’t think she will.

Art, I am going to put out a theory here. Don’t post it if it could possibly be right.
I believe Ron does not work on Friday evenings after he gets off of work at 3am. I think he went to look for Misty as she had taken off with Amber and Nay Nay. He got into a fight with someone and maybe even took some of their drugs, money etc (property?). He did not find her.
I think Amber and Nay Nay (and some guys) showed up at Ron and Misty’s house Monday and said to Misty “let’s party”. Misty propped open the door and put the light on in the kitchen and they sat in the car to “smoke” or whatever (they do not smoke in the house and the kids were inside asleep). After Misty was good and stoned one of the guys went in and grabbed Haleigh (wrapping her in a blanket) while other’s restrained Misty. She screamed at them as they took off (sound of woman screaming and loud car late that night heard by neighbors). Why? to pay Ronald back for whatever he did and stole while looking for Misty.
I do not believe they were going to hurt the child but with this blowing up into a national case, who knows. I pray they have stashed her somewhere and are waiting for the right time to let her go.
Ron said he was pretty sure he knew who who had done this (75% sure). Maybe he went to get Jordan and “stash” him to force Amber to reveal where Haleigh is or bring her back? This is the first theory that seems to fit. It would also explain his comment about “this is not just property, it is flesh and blood” (or something to that affect).
Dear Lord I pray that this is close to what happened and that little child is OK. Maybe, just maybe this will have a good outcome if it is handled right!

I totally agree with #58, Jen. I’ve been saying for a while that LE is too quiet for a reason. Either they KNOW what the skinny is, and are just securing enough evidence for a rock solid indictment, OR, they’ve got a pretty good idea what’s going on, and they’ve got eyes and ears (both digitally and in person) so tight on those involved that they’re not about to miss a single yawn that goes on. Why anyone would insist that they bring in Misty & Ron or whomever and “make them talk” is beyond me. You can sure do that, but if it doesn’t work (and probably wouldn’t), then what are you left with? You can’t just keep bringing the perp in over and over just to keep them in jail, and even if you got 2 or 3 shots at them, you’ve ruined all credibility you have, and run the risk of making it look like you really don’t know who did what, and you’re just grasping at straws. No one wants that, do they?

All of these kids are very much at risk for neglect, sexual abuse, physical abuse and more. Parenting classes and a few trips to a shrink and drug rehab won’t cure them. As a former foster parent for 19 years I see the writing on the wall. I agree that Law Enforcement is just waiting for someone to slip up and then heads will roll. Isn’t it amazing how many people in our own Country live in such a different culture. Unseen and unnoticed by most folks. I know many will find their behavior shocking but yes, there are people like this in every city and town. It’s part of the ghetto/drug culture. I’ve seen many families like this too up north here in Ohio. Ask any school teacher and they can describe similar families (if you can call them that)

Has anyone even considered asking why cobra bailed the girls out? Cobra does work for kim picazio and im sure the two girls will say anything they want to hear since he bailed them out! Either way it is all crazy and the focus should be on finding that little girl first. The custody battle should wat until she is found. I just find it odd that the mother lost custody of the kids so it makes e think that she has major issues also.

My question is this. Art, I know you know Nancy Grace, why is she soooo obsessed with casey anthony. every night I flip on in hopes to hear news about Haliegh only to hear about the Anthonys, Maybe if she worked hard on this missing child they might find her too. They found lil Caylee by all the media coverage and now its old news. Nothing will be coming from that one until the trial. You need to convince her with your powers as a journalist / detective, that we need to put presure on Haleigh’s case. I have even taken the time to write to Nancy grace show, but shi** they won’t listen to just one viewer. I have quit listening to nancy Grace show because she is like a broken record with being hung up on Anthony’s case. She is becoming sick to even check on nightly for news of Haleigh. So I check out your site for evening news of Haliegh. Tina – re: #74. DCF has always been notorious for dropping the ball on cases. When a tragedy happens, then we here about how many times it was reported to DCF. Many a child has died over the years because of it.
Yet, time after time, it happens again. I don’t know what it is going to take to get DCF overhauled. They should be there to protect the children and get them out of harm’s way. It is not just Florida, it is nationwide. There was a story a few years ago about DCF “losing” a child. The lost track of who was suppose to have the child. I don’t think she was ever found.
Tragedy after Tragedy and DCF is still doing the same sloppy job they always do. Look at the little boy in Kansas that disappeared years ago and they just found out about it. geez

What is wrong with the child protectors in that town? All those children need to be removed from their home including the 20 month olf son of Ambers. In MN they would be gone like yesterday. If they wait any longer another child will be taken. I am so worried about Hayleigh and have to agree that the drug usuage and all this abuse played a big part in it,

Art, I want to thank you for your website and reporting. It seems like no one wants to cover this story on little Haleigh. NG just dropped it all together. She repeats herself each night with the same thing over and over again on the Caylee Anthony case with only a few minutes of something new. I have half of her show memorized.
I hope Haleigh is still alive, but with all the drugs, booze, and lifestyles of everyone connected with this family I believe in my heart she is probably dead.
It is unbelieveable there are so many drug users and low lifes in ONE town! Sounds like the entire town needs to be cleaned up! Makes you wonder about law enforcement there!?

ROSE RED: I may start replying in posts when I have time–When I was at Misty’s parent’s home with Cobra, her mother, brother and sister in law tried to explain how cousin Joe had allegedly stolen a gun from Ronald’s trailer and stashed it in a drainage pipe on their grounds. That’s the trigger for the anger and suspicion of the family that the police focus should be on Joe in Tennessee.
My sources tell me he’s not high on the list, but the family thinks it odd that he would try to steal the gun and sell it, if true, and that he was not sleeping where he went to bed the day Haleigh turned up missing, slept in his clothes and had access to the van keys. That’s from memory of my time with them several weeks ago, and I may not have it exactly right, but it’s close. As I said, investigators aren’t putting much stock in Joe as a suspect or the family’s theory.

some important info.
It can’t hurt to get people talking. I agree these people seem pretty messed up but it doesn’t meen they know nothing, they could provide some answers. These people are mixed up in the social life of people that are linked to Haleigh. (Its like everybody knows each other.)
Something that may not seem important on its own may be
the missing link when added to the big picture.
If it is someone from this bunch of people who all seem
to be druggies they can’t be that swift to pull off an unsolvable crime.
Someone has to know more then they are letting on. Hopefully they will come to their senses and instead of worrying about themselves they will think about this defenseless little girl and help bring justice for Haleigh.

I have no knowledge about your statement but I sure do agree with it. In Picazios first interview with NG, Picazio stated she was there to help with the media. She’s done a great job with that. Putting out statements from unreliable sources who tell you what she thinks you want to hear.

Fl. just happens to have a small town police department like every state in the US. were you have to be carefull who you are speaking to,because more than likely you are talking to relatives.Cannot beleive Nancy G. is not more involved,maybe it has to do with the mom from Orlando that committed suicide after her interveiw with N.G a couple of years ago.I am sick of tot mom and the trial will come with out the help of N.G. prosecuting her or her parents.
I feel the investigation on the Heleigh case was botched from the get-go.Too sad. I think that if RC.,MOM, and child bride would have been seperated and kept apart,we all would have answers,because they all have been together on media interveiws,and look to each other for confirmation on answers.they should have been kept apart and not sent to N.Y for the celebration of the Media Frenza.What has happend with Poor Ron’s JOB.Maybe he will clean up he and his family’s garbage left in the site were he had his tent in the mobile home park were there are some good people that call it home.He does not deserve the custody of a pet let alone a child.

I have read ALOT about what people think happened in this case here at ARTS site & other places .. What has my interests peaked is that a few people who claim to be psychic & whose posts I’ve read all have differnt opinions on WHO took Haleigh .. Like that’s a surprise ! .. BUT I’ve noticed that the area they seem to describe sounds an awful lot like RODMAN DAMN .. I don’t understand why the Sheriffs Office isn’t still doing ground searches .. Mapping & gridding etc .. etc .. Putnam County does have dense areas of forrest but if someone disposed of Haleighs poor little body they probably didn’t hike through all of that mess.. Would have probably just went somewhere remote & accessible to the road .. WE ALL WANT HALEIGH TO COME HOME ALIVE !! But it’s been more than 70 DAYS without a trace & NO ONE IS SAYING A WORD !!!!

I don’t know how to get hold of Cobra, other than through you. Hope that you don’t mind.
There is an area, near where Haleigh Cummings disappeared, that the local teens ‘party’ at. It is called 6M and it’s a rather isolated area. This area has 2 lane trails, where the brush comes in close to a vehicle when driven. I’m thinking that this brush could have caused the scratch marks on the van if it were used in the abduction in any way. It’s also a very sandy area and if the wheels get caught in this sugar sand, it could slide a vehicle one way or another and into logs/brush that line the area trails. Of course, I’m not thinking at this point and time that Haleigh is alive, but instead, perhaps buried somewhere in that quagmire. It also boasts some muddy pits that the local teens enjoy ‘bogging’ through, especially after a rain. In this area, is also an old sand pit, that is referred to as Shell Pond. Just thinking that, since we’re dealing with locals, in their teens and early 20’s they’d know about this area. Deputies don’t normally get down in the area, I’m describing, as it is impassable in most cases with their vehicles, as they’re not 4 wheel drive. Therefore, the kids like to do their drinking and drugs in this isolated area…no one around to turn them in, etc. Some of this land where it is actually closer to the St. Johns River, has in recent years, been ’supposedly’ closed off with gates across the trails, trying to block egress. However, the teens manage to get around those, or actually knock down those gates. It is also a nasty area where illegal dumping is done…
I personally think that y’all are on the right track with the drug leads and those involved. The recent major drug bust in the county, is seriously just the tip of the iceberg, unfortunately. Pomona Park and Crescent City has a lot of drug activity and in the past has had the least resistance from law enforcement. There are many, many, many Hispanic ‘labor camps’ as they’re referred to, usually consisting of a mobile home rented with as many as 15 to 30 individuals camping out in them. They work the fern farms in the south end of Putnam. They’re also associated with drugs…
Thank you for keeping Haleigh Cummings in the spot light and keeping us informed of any tidbit that comes your way. These, I feel are puzzle pieces that if we can piece them together will give us the tip needed to find Haleigh.

LE needs to drag that lake again behind Ronald’s House again & again and walk that lakes perimeter, This poor child is not far and this Misty has taken notes from the Casey’s cookie jar on what not to do.
I mean, a cinder block was found at the back door , maybe a cinder block was ties to this child and sank in a remote area of that lake………….. LE needs to stop playing I’ll do my job when it comes to me as caylee finally did…

To; Art,Cobra, and all others that feel LE isn’t doing anything. IMO LE is not conducting searches as they must have some belief or evidence that Haleigh is deceased. They can’t prove who the perpetrators are or all of who may be involved,also there is no body and don’t know yet where to look for her body,if her body/remains can be found.There are lots of places she could have been disposed of where it would be impossible for there to be any remains. LE now is looking for the one break,tip,lead etc that could lead them to her murderer/murderers. This is just my opinion and my strong intuition.My gut says they have not checked that river thouroughly and the surronding swamps.The railroad track and where that leads holds very strong in my thoughts but its a little late now for checking those areas but might find some clues or evidence,not of her being alive but her remains if any by now.This is my opinion and gut feeling. To all those who feel Crystal is not fit to be a mother,maybe in years past that might have held to be the TRUTH but she has cleaned up her act and Crystal is the only one of all the family Haleigh has that is doing anything at all to keep her name and face out in the public.I would like to know what Ronald is doing to help find his daughter? I do beleive that the local LE has not done enough in the past to uphold the laws regarding illegal drug activity in Satsuma(PALATKA county would not be in the condition that its in right now.Trailers/tents in the woods where there are meth labs?Underage drinking? Driving without a motor vehicle licence? Stores selling beer and cigarettes to minors under the age of 18? WHAT THE HELL DOES LE DO WITH ALL THERE TIME? Something has got to give on this case. Someone in that group knows something I am sure of it. Have been wondering if Haligh had been seen later in the day, after she returned home from school? If this has been mentioned before then I missed it. I have feeling she had not worn that pink pajama top on that day. Could it be possible that Misty went out while it was still light out and Haeligh went out to look for her and couldn’t find her? Thus wandered into the woods, or the river, or was then abducted?
So many questions and no answers, thank you Art for not giving up on this child.

Thanks for answering Art! Sounds like Misty had a pretty busy week before Haleigh disappeared. Maybe Amber and/or Nay Nay do know something, they may not even know that it’s important to the case. I hope the pregnant part is not true, those people shouldn’t be trusted with a goldfish. IMO
Oh and sounds like Ron needs a new ruler, either that or Misty isn’t the only one that has problems getting measurements right.

After watching your interview with Nay Nay, it dawned on me about the dent in the trunk of the Lincoln which she loaned to Amber.
1. Were Nay Nay and Amber busted on Monday in the Lincoln ?
2. Have the cops impounded the Lincoln or at least checked it out (particularly the trunk!)?
3. What happened to Misty’s clothes that were in the trunk?
4. Where did the Lincoln get stuck in the mud that Amber had to pay someone to get it out?
5. Have LE taken tire impressions by the dumpster and west on Seven Sisters Road down by the river?
6. Why did Amber borrow Nay Nay’s car, where did she need to go?
7. Have LE checked out the house where WBGreg and the girls were druggin and turnin tricks?
Our Topix group (http://www.topix.com/city/satsuma-fl/2009/02/... )have come up with a theory that we are tossing around. What if Amber borrows Nay Nay’s car to steal Ron’s daughter (for revenge, for trade, for the Mexicans, who knows why) and somehow something bad happens. She backs the Lincoln up to the dumpster and puts a dead little girl in there, and then goes back later to move her and gets stuck in the mud down at the west end of Seven Sisters Rd. She gets someone (visiting cousin of Misty’s or someone else) to drive Lindsey’s blue van to tow or push the Lincoln . The van ends up getting a big scratch from the deep woods.
Just supposition on our part, as we feel the stories and body language of Nay Nay speak VOLUMES!! Please let us know if you get (or already have) any answers to our burning questions, we are working hard to figure this one out!

Just tell everyone where the location is and people other than PC or LE can search the area. If they find anything then they can call 911.

Art I hope you keep Haleigh alive… Years ago I was with a guy just like Ron. The mental abuse was much worse than the physical. I would break up- go back (over and over). I was 14 and stayed with him until I was 20. When he was good, he was overly good. When he was bad- (watch out) I was scared of him. I always had an excuse for his behavior. I hid the bruses and mental pain and thought he would change. They don’t change. Missy and Ron’s rounds have only began.. She will get into it over and over… She might take enough and tell a friend what really happened. Art stay with this story. You may find Haleigh. She does not deserve to be left out there. I can’t understand why Ron’s mom thinks Missy is so great and she said she is such a responsible girl. If so why did they do the laundry and clean the house up? And picking Haleigh up from school? Missy does not work. What were her responsibilities?? Art, sorry for just going on and on… I am just trying to figure out what could have happened to Haleigh….

In trying to get names from those around here, citing rumors, etc. is difficult at best. I know, as I’ve been trying to get to the root of the rumor that’s been circulating amongst the teen/early 20 set of kids. They’re claiming that Misty was out that night scoring some coke, they know they claim, cause they were there scoring some themselves. I ask why these people who make this claim won’t go to Law enforcement and I get that ‘dumb’ look… Oh yeah, DUH! They don’t want to implicate themselves into any wrong doing.
Here’s the rub, it’s going to have to be someone who isn’t involved in LE, like Cobra who is able to dig and go with the roll of things. Then, maybe then…something will break and that one thing, that one tip will be the deal breaker that LE needs to wrap this case up.

questions from jennabelle, I am sick of Nancy and all of the ones that call in to thank her for keeping Caylee alive as well. It mde me sick when Caylee was missing, but she has been found. I don’t think that right now Nancy is reporting for Caylee, it is more hate for Casey. She is determined to keep Casey’s actions in the news regardless of how many people go missing. She might give them 10 minutes of her time, but I think this is only because she has to. Even after she first started to mention Haleigh, she accidently started to say Caylee.
I am so upset over Haleigh being missing. I wish there was something I could do to help. To see this go on the back burner is so upsetting. I started wondering last night, why she is no longer mentioned by any of th family members?
I could not sit back and leave it up to the police. I would have to do all I could no matter the danger the situation.

I don’t think Misty was home (JMO). It is quite possible she has done it more than once…She has been on her own for several years and I am surprised she wanted to be tied down at this age. I am sure she felt if Haleigh and Junior were sleeping and Ronald at work, piece of cake. I am sure there are ppl out there that could verify this especially since she had family so close in proximity.
This is not the first night job he has held. I think I read in the court documents that he was working nights at that time also.
The longer that Haleigh is missing, the more it does not look promising. I wish some family member had her hidden somewhere but in my heart, I don’t think so. I think LE would have been able to find that out quickly.
Ger, I wish more ppl understood that LE needs leads and I believe they would work with the person. We are talking about the life of a child. On the otherhand, I am sure the informant would be fearful of exposing others, etc.

Hi Art and all who are here:
First, I want to thank Art for keeping Haleigh’s name and disappearance public and for sharing all the information surrounding this precious child.
I have been reading many of these posts and I would like to respond to all the posts that question Cobra and Leonard Padilla bonding out NayNay, Amber and Casey. It would be more productive to follow and investigate offenders and their stories/actions on the outside, as well as to eavesdrop on conversations, etc., as opposed to trying to do these things from a jail cell.
Also, I understand that Crystal had a drug problem but she has also worked hard on rehabillating herself and appears to continue to do so in spite of this overwhelming situation. I hope KP is able to direct Crystal toward a more positive future.
The custody battle should be pursued as there is still a child in Ronald’s custody and his safety should be as strong of a concern as finding Haleigh. Child protective services act on what they see and hear at the time of their visit……….anyone can become an academy award winner when faced with legal action. Unfortunately, family, friends, neighbors, etc., tend to “turn the other cheek” when it comes to children and abuse which hampers investigations.
Ronald’s history and recent life includes many affairs with young teenage girls. I believe he does this so he can continue to control these girls, something he might not be able to do with a stronger older girl/woman.
Where has Misty been? Since their wedding she has all but disappeared off the earth. Who is keeping her from the public eye? Herself or Ronald her husband? Why isn’t she out there pleading for Haleigh’s return, afterall, she claims to have loved the child as a mother?
I also do not believe that the LE’s investigation is being harmed by the custody battle. That is just absurd! They can assign one investigator to work on these claims that require their attention and then let the lawyers battle the custody in court, and the rest of their team can continue to search for Hayleigh.
Thanks for letting me vent! Hopefull JVM will continue inviting you on the show and maybe NG can follow her lead.

If all is true about Ron, his lawyer may dump him. You have to be truthful with them and I don’t see him doing that. I think it is his way or the highway. I don’t see the girls lying if they know anything to help find Haleigh. They may take drugs, but I think they would have a soft heart when it comes to children missing… If not – I hope they throw the key away on them. If Missy was lying, why is she still out? With all going on, I do not know why the TV stations are so hush…Art – Thanks – we learn something new everyday. My prayers are with all the people involved and especially with the little children. Jr was use to having Haleigh by his side. I don’t think words can express the pain he is going through now. I hope he has someone to help him.

Molly–Hate to disappoint, but rumors are not what I hope people come here to read, or what my reporting is about…if you’ve got pix of Ronald out fishing with more jail bait, then we can do fish stories, because as a preacher who busted another cheatin’ preacher once told me, “pictures is purty good proof.”
And that’s why you won’t find alot of pictures among the swapfest of rumors and opinions in the comments area here, though we’ve got alot of great web detectives who grab court records of assorted parties, and we love that, but need more reporting to put it all in context. Like Chad’s record…his family would say he’s not like that anymore…upstanding…and so would Ronald Cummings Momma. And you all can duke it out all day long how to interpret the latest theories.
But I hope readers come here to get real stories, as well as rumors and half truths which are often leaked at the same time and printed on other message boards without any vetting. Ready, fire, aim.
Already the rumor of the red truck in the ‘hood waving 50 dollar bills for tips to where White Boy Greg lives, has grown into urban legend, someone threatening to burn houses down, which is dramatic, but not backed up by anyone I’ve spoken to, or police reports I’m seeking as corraboration. And I’m betting those who posted, did so without checking and now the murky, muddy water is everywhere because general blogs don’t serve up stories by journalistic standards, a story you can rely on. That’s why I hope you come here…
The folks who seek to spin the truth know I’m happy to check something out, but will not just print what they tell me without doing my best to vet it. That’s why what journalists do takes alot of time, a little skill, knowledge of the how the system works, sources who trust you and you trust, and an ability to weigh their agendas, and factor it in the way we write, to come up with a story you can take to the bank.
You know where to go to get stories you cannot rely on, and that’s why unscrupulous, lazy posters on those sites copy and paste stories from The Bald Truth or other bonafide journalists.
Bottom line, that’s a theft, since they have no rights to it, and those sites know it, but are like the fence or pawn shop in a burglary, hear nor see no evil, and happy to take the stolen property, even if they have to give it up later, and maybe face possible prosecution, if cops show up with a serial number from the victim proving ownershp…
As for a rumor you may want friends to check it out, they could paste one paragraph from a story of mine that might speak to that rumor, and refer you back here with a hotlink to check out what I may have done to check it out, and what my brilliant and dedicated posters always bring to the table. That’s kosher and proper internet etiquette.
At the same time, you all can come on here using bogus names or nicknames, hiding behind a wall, a mask, and lob rumors you’ve heard all day. If I let it go, doesn’t mean I agree or endorse what’s here. I just don’t always have time to read everything, but if I see something I can add to or debunk and have time, I’ll throw it in a comment.
So what you read from anonymous posters we all have to take with a grain of salt. Now, put your real name and number behind it, that may raise your creds a little. But show me the documents, show me the tape, the photos…your background and bonafides. Most folks on the web prefer the anonymity. I’m not hiding.

Art – good points. However, I am not hiding from you. You have my information. I never started blogging until the Casey Anthony case and believe me, I have seen some really scary people out here on the web.
I like to see proof as well. Bloggers, please beware that people are suit happy and some would not hesitate to sue for slander. It is best for everyone involved to go with the facts or use IMO. Then you have bloggers pretending to be someone close to the case, etc. just to get information. It is not fair to anyone to start stuff that can be very hurtful.
If I post something, it is either my opinion or I put the link to the news site. I do not know any of the parties involved, nor do I live near Satsuma. I look at all the angles and post my opinions based upon what I think or things that just don’t seem right.

#178 – Teresa is a dispatcher for Palatka, I believe. It is not Putnam County, that I read. I have no idea how long she has been there and I don’t think it has been addressed.
Ronald has had a few jobs since gaining custody of Haleigh and Junior. From the listings of the income on the court documents, he switched jobs inbetween because his salary went from $10 an hour to 2100+ per month. I don’t believe everything he stated there either. He had just finished his 90 probation at PDM Bridge. Teresa Neves stated on NG that he had just gone on the night shift…That too is questionable also because he worked nights during the custody battle also.
As far as Crystal receiving notice on the child support recently, I know that when you file taxes, you will receive a balance sheet from the state as to what is owed, if any is past due. Someone stated she had just received notice of what was due 3 days prior to Haleigh missing. I have not read that and to me, it is just a rumor. Keep in mind, the support was not just for Haleigh. I don’t see what the purpose would be for her to take just Haleigh and hiding her.
The truth is bound to come out sooner or later. I don’t know why we have not heard of fingerprints in the trailer, etc. Someday, somewhere, someone is going to slip up and LE is going to be there waiting.

OMG! One thing is clear: None of these people seemed adult enough to be taking care of anyone’s children! Misty Croslin is a lying piece of crap who knows what happened to that little girl – or atleast knows she wasn’t there when it happened. I don’t think the kid’s disappearance happened after she supposedly went to sleep. It happened earlier in the evening and Misty stagged the kidnapping to take the blame off her. Junior should be taken from Ron Cummins and given back to his biological mother. It’s clear that Cummins is not fit to be a custodial parent.

This is unreal. This is better than any novel someone could’ve written, but it’s so sad because kids are being brought into these people’s lives who have no business reproducing. And I don’t think anyone in this crew is done having kids with illnesses from drug use, etc. that we are all paying for with our taxpayer money. This is fascinating, and thank you for getting to the heart of what’s going on here. It’s brave to do considering the ilk you are dealing with. Geraldo was the first I saw who nailed this father with info, and yes, Nancy Grace was dead wrong here siding with Cummings and Misty so unfairly and she hasn’t said boo since. I’m not sure Crystal is a whole lot better, but hopefully can’t be worse than the other 2.

Did anyone notice in Misty’s Video Hypnosis and her Video lie detector test she talks about her Brother selling vehicles right after Haleigh dissappeared? In the Hyponosis one she said he sold his RED TRUCK immediately after Haleigh dissappeared and in the Videp for the Lie Detector test she said he sold his wifes Van out from under Their Dad immediately after Haleigh dissappeared. She did both of these the same day. Am I the only one that noticed this. Also has anyone heard about Misty saying something about a rose and a place. I saw that on another Blog but I am not sure where it came from can anyone answer that for me?
If so please post a response. Art you are awesome to keep this going for Haleigh. Also Misty says she knows Haleigh is still alive because she can sense it. Misty knows something she is not saying. This has gone on long enough and I pray that she will finally come out and speak. I am not so sure that Haleigh and JR need to live with Dad and Stepmom they are TRASH in my book. But I do know if Haleigh is alive I pray the Lord brings her home. I feel like she is still alive too. I pray everynight for her to come to the surface and come back but not be returned home to those crazy people.
Also Misty says that her cousin and her brother both molested her when she was a child. I have been raped and molested and I would never let anyone around me my kids or any kids I am around and 1 family friend and 1 family member Molested me when I was young and another family friend raped me as an adult. So why did she let her Brother around those babies and her cousin around those babies. I am disgusted. I am glad COBRA is back too. God Bless Everyone here and their Families and God please bring HAleigh back.

i keep wondering if you and i can see it -then bloody hell-why can’t ‘nancy grace’. Everytime i turn around nancy grace is kissing ronald cummings and his mother neves ass.
Like they’ve been life long friends.
I some how feel like with the drew peterson case -his fellow officers looked the other way when his wife was recovered in the bathtub and somehow ronald cummings fake crying wins sympathy from people who dont see through or past his acting.

I have thought from the beginnig two scenarios. One being Ronald and Misty were fighting possibly over the time she was out partying with White Boy Greg and Nay Nay and Hailey maybe got in the middle of it and he in a fit of anger backhanded her and possibly broke her neck or she hit her head or something. Two Misty was entertaining where unsure and she had possibly given the kids something to “help” them sleep and Hailegh walked in and said she was going to tell her Daddy and they had to shut her up whether it was murder another pill or what who knows Then she set up the whole thing with th block door open and kitchen light on to convince Ronald when he came home. I also think both Misty and Crystal are more terrified of what Ronald would do to them than what the police would do is the reason they both act so strange when questioned. I think Ronald married Misty to avoid statutory rape charges, along with contributing to delinqucies of a minor. Having been raised in a home with an abusive parent you can read body language and I am telling you Misty and Crystal Shefield are terrified of this bully who himself is a child molester, last time I checked 18 is legal adult age and he tosses them when they turn 18 to get another teeny bopper for his pleasure. His mom and grandma know and are covering for him because they all know the little girl ain’t coming back and they don’t want to lose their baby Ron. He is the one who sickens me because he allowed a child who he knew was strung out on drugs be his children’s caregivers. Lock Misty up for a few days she will talk.

Here’s a thought: If RC needed a “child” to provide to a drug lord/pimp, perhaps that was why he was after Amber’s child to turn over. When that child couldn’t be snatched, the drug lord/pimp took matters into his own hands and took HaLeigh.
