Despite charges by his ex-wife’s attorney that “drugs, sex and rock ‘n roll” were rampant inside the double-wide he shared with his missing daughter, Haleigh, and son, Jr., Ronald Cummings claims he takes no illegal drugs.
In a press release issued by Cummings’ Palatka, Fla. attorneys, he only takes “prescription medication for accidental injuries;” he “denies a drug problem,” the statement reads.
Here’s the press release, just in from Ronald Cummings Palatka, Fla. attorneys, T. Jerry Snider, and Greg Kimball, dated March 30, 2009. March 30, 2009.
This press release is in response to the biased episode of Geraldo at Large, aired March 28, 2009. Apparently, Geraldo Rivera is still angry about being given a trespass warning by the police, at Ronald Cummings request, at the trailer park in Satsuma, Florida.
Obviously, Geraldo Rivera did not read this office’s press release of March 27, 2009, a copy of which follows.
In fact there was no response to the merits of our press release at all, other than Geraldo Rivera’s statement that we lied and claimed that cash was paid to Crystal Sheffield by the Geraldo at Large show.
Our press release accurately stated that we had no knowledge in this regard.
Regarding the “investigator” William E. Staubs, called Cobra, this office is still attempting to understand the relationship between Cobra and attorney Kim Picazio. They are both from the Ft.Lauderdale area and Picazio once represented Cobra’s wife in a divorce against Cobra, where Cobra had no attorney, according to BrowardCounty records.
It is true that Cobra tried to befriend Ronald Cummings and stoked his fears about what happened the night Haleigh went missing.
This office received information on March 25, 2009 from an individual employed by a client of ours identifying Gregory Lewis Page as someone the police would be interested in contacting. This individual was directed to pass on all relevant information to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office that day.
Ron Cummings takes prescription medication for accidental injuries, but denies a drug problem.
Lastly, when Crystal Sheffield states that Ronald Cummings’ home is unsafe for Ronald Cummings, Jr., age four, it should be remembered that she was the one who put Ronald Cummings Jr. on the Geraldo at Large show, thus identifying him as an eyewitness in Haleighs disappearance, causing him to potentially be a victim of witness elimination by the crime’s perpetrator.”
PRESS RELEASE from March 27, 2009:
New reports have surfaced about Ronald Cummings, Jr. telling his biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, about a black man that came into his house the night Haleigh went missing.
These reports are in fact not new.
On March 2, 2009, Crystal Sheffield and Ronald Cummings, Jr. were interviewed by Craig Rivera. In a display of shabby journalism, Craig Rivera talks openly about Jr.’s role in allegedly observing certain facts.
Crystal Sheffield, in turn, with Ronald Jr. in her arms, asks a series of leading questions to Ronald that has the answer phrased as part of the question.
Ronald Cummings, Jr.’s response seems to be mystification and/or passive agreement to whatever his mother is saying.
The phrases attributed to Ronald Jr. such as “squeaking shoes,” “couch bouncing,” and “dressed in black” are not appropriate language that a 4 year old would use. Rather, this is adult talk, suggesting coaching.
Any new statements attributed to Ronald Cummings, Jr. have been tainted by the Geraldo at Large show, as any experienced child investigator knows.

Speculation has it that Crystal Sheffield received a substantial amount of money from the Geraldo at Large show, but this office has no knowledge in this regard.

Hair Follicle testing can go back at least 90 days, so heck just test them all!! And, Crystal was never his wife…they were never married!!! This statement says NOTHING for me…if I was his attorney, I wouldn’t be MAKING statements, I would be having my client take a drug test TO PROVE…he wasn’t on drugs!!!! IMO…he blamed drugs on Crystal when she was with him. He is now with Misty that associates with drug ppl. Where is Ronald’s head in being with these types of girlfriends? There comes a point when you have to stop blaming everyone else. I thought at first, maybe it was Crystal, but come one, Misty too? According to Ronald’s mother, Misty is at the top of the g/f list? How can they have it both ways? If the black man in black was something that Crystal made up and fed to Jr., then how can Jr.’s face on TV put him in danger from an imaginary person?
And 4 year olds CAN use words like that. At 3, my daughter was telling very descriptive stories. And to be honest, I’d be less inclined to think that an adult would use a phrase like “bouncing couch” over something like “moving couch.”
Of course, these are just my opinions. Thank you for letting me state them.

I have a 2yr old Grandchild that talks just fine. In fact she shocks us with her big words and she knows the terminology for all of them! It is not strange to me that JR told her about the black man and bouncing couch and squeaky shoes! Kids now a days learn so much faster just by watching kid shows!
I think the reason JR was being quiet when MR. Rivera asked him questions, he certainly didn’t know Mr.Rivera and I ma sure with Cameras in your face would make any child shy!
I am glad Cobra and Crystal’s Attorney know each other, at least they haven’t given up trying to find Haleigh Bug!
I think that Ronald probably got wind of Cobra knowing the Attorney and that had a part to play into his getting a Lawyer himself!

Hello Mr Harris, I am a 57 year old white female from an upper middle class background that abused drugs from the time I was 20 to 48 years old, why is this? they were legal prescriptions…my husband was a wife beater, both physical and verbal..I am telling you from the moment I saw Ron Cummings on TV I have felt he was an addict and an abuser….maybe both Misty and Ron are innocent, but let me tell you he has beat those kids and if you go back to the very beginning of his interviews he states that DCF says you can spank you kid on the buttock…Well how and why would he know this unless he carried it out…This is a very fishy story…That little boy needs to go to the Mother..he doesn’t belong with that man..see how his head moves and eyes roll up…on the TODAY Interview show…ABUSER!!!!!!That child didn’t fall she probably arrived at school like that! I thought I saw marks on the neck…Get real…see this drug addict and abuser for what he is…

I watch this story every night for any updates. Ron Cummings, with all his piercings, and marrying a seventeen year old girl while his daughter is missing is disgusting. I do believe there is drug use in that family and these children have witnessed alot of it. I don’t think Misty is telling the entire truth about that night. It sounds like it all a big mess. I pray for Haleigh every day for her safe return.

If indeed it’s true that Ronald has “no problems” with illegal drugs how do he and his attorneys explain the fact that he has “several” arrests for possession and use of illegal drugs? Like most of the parties to this case these lawyers are experts at “spin”. It is unfortunate that the record speaks for itself and the public knows the truth or has already made up their minds.

Stop donating money to Ronald(the mommys boy) and Misty (the drug addict and cheater) , donate the money to Crystal because she is truly trying to find her daughter. “Squeaky Shoes” not something a 4 year old would say? Rubbish. If the kid has ever seen Spongebob he would know what squeaky shoes are.
As for the drug allegations, I think it’s safe to say that some type of drug activity is going on in the Ronald and Misty Cummings household.
Let’s not forget all of his drug charges that conveniently were dropped/dismissed. And now the truth about Ronalds sister Crystal Cummings arrest record is out also.
But back to Ron and Misty, Ron knows that Misty is out doing drugs, but still has her watching and taking care of his kids the majority of the time, so yes Ron the drug allegations are well founded.
I swear the LE needs to get to the bottom of this and if that means arresting the last known person to see Haleigh then so be it. Cart her butt in and charge her with obstruction of justice. Eventually she will sing. There’s nothing worse for a teenager then losing their freedom, 1 or 2 weeks of sitting in county I am sure Misty will break.

STOP blaming Haleigh’s MOTHER Crystal who is an INNOCENT victim of both being abused (by Ron), who also used his family connections & Crystal’s YOUNG AGE (19 at the time) to TAKE CUSTODY of their two kids that Crystal took good care of EVERY DAY of their lives together. She is a VICTIM also of having her daughter snatched–while in the dubious custody of Ron (NOT the Hallmark dad image of a FATHER).
EVERYTHING that happened to Haleigh is the DIRECT RESULT of the drugs, alcohol, sleep around, party life Ronald & Misty enjoyed. NOBODY else is responsible for their drawing a TARGET on their children for something AWFUL to occur. This is NOT about CUSTODY. Crystal has NOT asked for custody; she just wants ALL THE FACTS known to give cops a better chance to determine WHAT HAPPENED. Either somebody snatched Haleigh TRYING TO “save her” from the Ron/Misty drug-sex cycle. OR Haleigh was taken by SOMEBODY for reasons/interests of THEIR OWN.
EITHER WAY, had Misty been MORE ALERT (or NOT CULPABLE) that night, Haleigh might still be with us.
HOWEVER: being around drug users and party players is DANGEROUS for innocents. But factor in abusive, CONTROLLING, explosive temper – and IT becomes A COCKTAIL for destruction. Crystal should be APPLAUDED for bringing this to light and hopefully RESOLVING a bad situation once and for all!
SOMEBODY must be relentless enough to FORCE MISTY to tell EVERY SINGLE THING SHE KNOWS about Haleigh’s disappearance.

What I find simply HILARIOUS is the fist clenching going on by NG & others over purported “contamination” of Ronald JR’s statement about the black man in black! GET A CLUE! There would NEVER have been ANY REASON whatsoever for a 4=yr TO “TESTIFY” about what he saw (or didn’t) THAT NIGHT.
THE only PROBATIVE value of JR’s information is the FACT ITSELF. MAYBE the black man in black DID NOT snatch Haleigh. MAYBE the black man in black WAS JUST THERE that night (AS JR stated).
The fact is: THERE WAS A STRANGE MAN in that trailer and Misty was RESPONSIBLE for his being there! WHATEVER happened subsequent TO THAT .. Misty and Ron will BOTH have to answer for because of the TAWDRY lives they are living.
NOBODY actually believes Misty’s OTHER PARAMOUR (BMIB) is actually the kidnapper. AS slow as FL Putnam CO LE is, even THEY would have arrested the guy by now.
Ergo: making a BIG FUSS about poor Crystal (or Craig, Geraldo) MANIPULATING a 4-yr old — GET REAL! The entire case of Haleigh would never hinge upon her 4-YR OLD baby brother. METHINKS you guys doth PROTEST too much.

Enough of all that already! Can we please focus on Haleigh!!! I have a few questions Art? Some one mentioned scent traced to the railroad tracks & something about two trucks, is this correct? If so have the trains scheldules been checked that went thrugh that night, along with there destinations and stops? If so have Posters been distrbuted in those areas? Not just the next stop all the way to the end of the line? Also have there been any of the “on watch” or registered “sex offenders” in the area found to be guilty or suspected of animal torture or abuse? Any reports of any one of this nature bringing animals in to a vet to be cared for after having mysterious illnesses or injuries? Thanks

Kim is a highly respected lawyer in her own right! She did not approve of little Ron being used in the way he was, but that is done so she must try to repair any harm done or perceived to have happened. She is moving forward now, so please back off and give her a chance. The first account from Crystal was that Ron, Jr.,said the man, dressed in black with squeaky shoes stole his Sissy. I don’t understand all the mass hysteria over that statement
I was trying to teach my grandchildren concerning abuse and was surprised at all they were aware of. (G.D. is 6 and Grandson is 10.) I asked them if Mommy had ever struck their dad, and they shook their heads, “no” Then I repeated the question using their mother, and received the same answer. We continued our discussions concerning abuse, kidnapping, etc. I was raided in a loving and secure home and I passed these principles down to my children. I see it repeated with my own children in their awareness of what their kids are up to, what they think and ways to address the issues. We live in an upper class environment and feel some sort of safety in our immediate surrounding, however, there are always scumbags out there always waiting for the perfect opportunity to grab a smart, beautiful child.
It seems to me that this whole family should appear on the “Jerry Springer” show.

I have a Grandson that says a lot as well, he can swear like a trooper and he watches TV alot, learns from games, can even say “I can shoot the guy” They learn a lot from adults as well from TV shows. I was told that I can whistle at six months. My parents were doing it and I walked in on them, I said, “Mom I hear banging on the walls.” Children today are far more advanced than when I was a child, not to mention they know more than we give them credit for. I can tell you that I was addicted to codiene, and you can be confused (just like Misty), angry, emotional, crying one minite, happy the next. So I don’t care what Ron says, he and Misty were and still are doing drugs. I’ts illegal to supply a minor, smokes, drugs and alcohol, even now whether they are married or not. I won’t donate to Ron or Misty in finding Haleigh, they will only use it for themselves, to eat out, smokes or drugs, but i will donate to Chrystal. I think JR. wasn’t corhorsed into saying that in the interview, he nodded his head and I too believe he was just shy around strangers. He looked quite happy with his Bio-Mom, it’s a crime to knock down his Mother to his son, doesn’t he know the damage he is doing to him emotionally and may need concilling later. To me that is child abuse, and shacking up with a cheater of 17 years old (minor). Mental not e to everyone… I lier can’t look you in the face, they get defensive, or point a finger. You point the finger and it points back to you!! Just watch Misty and Ron’s body language, they can’t look you in the eye.

Ronald’s record shows drug possession. Just because he didn’t get convicted doesn’t mean he didn’t have his hands in the cookie jar. Only the courts can answer why he was never convicted.
Does Ronald know what is best for his children? Look at the beds they were sleeping on, yet he has a nice new truck. Grandma Sykes was bringing clothes over for the kids? I might add that a truck is not a “family” vehicle, especially when that is the only means of transportation for the family. Clearly, this shows me that Ronald is out to please Ronald. Why is a “family” man in possession of a beretta gun? DCF should do their job and do a thorough investigation. If they find something or not, at least they can put to rest any doubts. Right now, there is just a lot of mudslinging from each side. I have not seen Ronald’s attorney come back with a logical explanation for the bad bruise on junior’s leg.

What I don’t understand is why does anyone care about the relationship between Cobra and KP? Does it matter that she handled a divorce or bought a home from Cobra? What does that have to do with the fact that Cobra is out there searching. LE has not given any information what so ever on what is going on. I think the local LE is way over their head. We then get some information from Cobra and it turns into Cobra and KP know each other blah blah blah. Hello, he is searching….KP is trying to make sure that DCF does there job, that they rarely do because they are understaffed and lazy for the most part. Satsum is a drug town , do your research!, and it would not surprise me one bit if some of the LE are not connected to it (not accusing…JMO). How else did Ron get away with all his charges? Ron wants his child back and is hiding behind his attorneys skirt. If a child is missing you do what you have to do to keep the media interested in the story because unfortunately it’s all about the rating. I have not seen Misty beg for Haleigh’s return, nor Ron or that side of the family lately. Bottom line is Cobra is doing what he does best and if some would take the time to do a reference check on him they would educate themselves about who he really is and the passion he has of getting RSO off the street or anyone that hurts a child. That is what he is all about…he is searching for Haleigh and has his technique’s on how to get to the truth……Who give a rats butt if KP sold him a house? NG is being extremely prejudice about this case and has the Anthony case front and center when Caylee…may she RIP has been found….Haleigh has not. NG is rude and disrespectful and I wish KP or someone would put her in her place. She claims that CS exploited Jr. by allowing his face to been seen on the Geraldo show, I agree it was not a smart move on CS…however this is a distraught mother wanting answers to where her child is. Again….LE has not said anything about Haleigh and the local papers have moved on….Cobra, KP and Crystal are keeping that child’s face out there and that is all that matters is for Haleigh not to be forgotten and for people to become more productive in her search rather than hide behinda computer screen and throw allegations about what they believe…..I am not in that family’s shoes so I don’t know what happen to Haleigh…Does anyone know? I have basically stopped watching Nancy Grace because she is all for Ronald. Evidently, she has no tolerance for a mother that does not have custody of their children. It is quite possible that Crystal was afraid of Ronald. Maybe she wasn’t financially capable of taking care of the kids at that time and now is in a better position. I briefly changed the channel last night and saw NG ragging Kim P, accusing her client of “exploitation” of a 4 year old by showing him with her on tv. That was the final straw for me watching Nancy Grace. She treats Ronald with kindness and sympathy but not Crystal. Crystal wasn’t even in town when Haleigh went missing. Ronald doesn’t wear shirts for Haleigh. He doesn’t have any Haleigh buttons on and I don’t hear of him searching. All I hear is him spending money and expecting special treatment. Where is his grief?Misty has received personal invitations to appear on JVM and she has not, evidently not talking to anyone. She needs to get an attorney. Kim P has now talked to White Boy Greg and as soon as things have been verified by her investigators, more information will be coming out. What will Misty have to say then?

NG is simply upset because she is down right annoyed that the bio Mother keeps shifting the focus off of her child.
That is merely my opinion of course I am not NG so I can’t speak for her. All this gossiping & simple stories like ” Man in black, squeaky shoes, and couch bouncing” WT Fudgicles is “Couch bouncing” Not in a metaphorical sense, in actuality to make a counch bounce… to make it lift up & down an entire couch. Was a reactment of the running of the Bulls taking place, couch bouncing?… Rediculous. I feel insulted that someone would ask me to buy that load of simple crap. All that aside, numerous cases have had entire families sleeping, some with dogs in the home & a child has gone missing…..right out of that home. Though it has happened where a person shows no signs & suddenly commits and unthinkable crime, usually leaving their whole family & freinds in complete shock, that is rare. Likely this person has a record, if the child is not found alive or the child is found alive there are different tell signs in that persons behavior. Signs that maybe only family & freinds may pick up on and need to report. This is not looking at the “obvious” This is looking at the easiest from a stand point of not understanding the Phycological make up of this type of offender. If she is alive & being held that is a specific type of person with specific behaviors. How about some real reporting, info from completely seperate sources from anyone in the case, studies on these types of offenders, what caught family members attention in their behavior. Things people need to look for. Geraldo at Large, that sounds like a virus. Can we pop open the can of worms and look at this from a deeper understanding and focus on finding Haleigh!!! Please.

I believe this article should be about Crystal who is the real drug user. It was just reported that Crystal was taken to the hospital recently for having a seizure while driving which happens quite oftend to drug users.
Crystal lost custody of her children because she is a drug user and that is the only reason.
She should clean up her act before she looses custody of her 11 month old. Hopefully Drs at hospital will check for drugs in her system, that test will tell all.

I have been reading the comments here and thought aboutthis allot… first off I totally think Misty and Ron know something that will help LE find Haliegh. I worry though as time goes on she will not be returned alive and it breaks my heart. I think TN knows that Ron suspects Misty but she is doing what he is and sucking it up hoping to have answers! Also FYI NG has always been one sided and bias if you google her there are plenty off websites that bust her lies out about her fiancee that died they are an interesting lil read. Crystal was right to have her son interviewed I soooo agree it is no worse than NG doing she is a celebrity famous for lashing out at child molestors wich make her kids just as much of a target for sick people.

Drug testing can go back a year.. depending upon the length of the hair, and they can use any type of body hair. They can also use finger nails. My comment is why all of the fighting. The focus is all of the search. When Haleigh first went missing, they had cadaver dogs that had got a ‘hit’ on a dumpster near the trailer. It was more than one dog that got the hit. I remember seeing this on Nancy Grace. Does anyone know if they ever took some dogs to the city or county dump or where-ever that dumpster was finally dumped?.. These dogs are usually not wrong. Look at how the Anthony Case turned out. The Cadaver dogs got a hit on the car trunk as well.

What is wrong with Kim trying to help Crystal. Kim evidently believes in Crystal and that she deserves a 2nd chance. Kim is very smart and I give her credit for not releasing information until she has verified it. What Kim doesn’t need is others interferring in an investigation clamining they are a relative and have inside information. I guess they don’t realize they can be charged with obstruction? Kim is reporting her information to the proper authorities, from what I can see. She gave all of her information to DCF as far as the child abuse, etc. So what if Cobra and Kim work together….if they get things done, good. From what Art says, no one in this town wants to talk because of all of the drug action. They at least don’t want to talk to law enforcement. Therefore, it probably will do some good to have outside people helping. So far, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Diane…Misty was not 14. Misty and Ron have only been together 6 months, 5 months before Haleigh went missing. Misty is now 17 years of age. Misty watched Jordan, Ronald’s other child with Amber before moving right in, it appears. Misty has also been on her own for quite some time and probably very “street” wise. I just hope the truth comes out soon and they find Haleigh. Misty is the key but why LE hasn’t done anything yet, I don’t know.

Ok two things about the video.
-Is that Crystal sheffeild the bio mom who walks over to ron in the begining? If so look at how her legs just kind of go out from under her…..you can’t fake that.
-When Ron is kneeling with his mom and talking(crying) to the reporter and he brings his head down to his knees and starts crying…Does anyone else think he said “it’s all because of me” ? because it sounds like that might be what he’s saying. I had earbuds(headphones) in while listing to it and that sounds like what he said.
-Great job Art and Cobra! Please stay with this until she is found….Hopefully safe and sound.
-As for NG It did bother me how she has handled this case and I haven’t been watching her show as I usually do, but that is not to say that I’ll stop watching her show.

Why is Crystal on the road if she had a seizure last month?
Any doctor worth his salt would have told her not to drive.
They have mandated reporting laws of any loss of consciousness to DMV. The doctor can be sued if Crystal hits a mother and her kids while driving and has another seizure. Crystal could sue this doctor today. So either she was told and drove anyway or some of this is more lies. I feel very sorry for both parents. I can’t imagine what they are going through having this child gone and not knowing where she it. But Crystal has been throwing stones here for a long time and if one lives in a glass house, one should not throw stones. Why is everyone so surprised that some people are not happy with Crystal. She also needs to learn about the boy who cried wolf, because in court she accused Ron of abuse and it was proved right there she was lying. So, now she is surprised that some people have some doubts.
When someone has a history of lying and does it several times on national television how are we supposed to take her word anymore? Either Crystal was on drugs at the start of this and is getting off them, in which case I wish he well and feel for her or she has what is called a Histrionic Personality Disorder. I have taken the time to watch all her appearances and everything she says and does.
One of these two has to be the case. Unless she has a worse disorder on the same AXIS. Nobody was saying she was a bad mom. The dad seemed to be avoiding saying anything negative about her. She is the one and her mother that started this. This is a small town, the type of people involved are very different in lifestyle than most Americans. Deep south type of lifestyle. Men control the women, it is not a secret well known and understood. The women seem to be fine with it because if it was good enough for mom it is good enough for them. It is what they know and how they are brought up.
The young people use drugs. It is not a secret and as long as it is not done in front of parents and nobody gets hurt,it is accepted. Yes Ron has a record but so does Crystal and her own mother. I would be looking at who controls Crystal. Because if she has a boyfriend that is who is in charge of her. Crystal just repeats what her lawyer says and is saying what she is told. She did not come up with “Misty is just a child” on her own. Why? Because in this society girls are spoken for often by age 14 or 15 and married soon after. She herself had been with Ron since she was 14 and had Haleigh at 17. For some reason Crystal is really concerned with how she looks to the public. It seems to have been her main concern from day one. What mother after their child has been missing for some time when asked if her child was in school the day she went missing says “I have no idea”? Wouldn’t you find out if it was your daughter and you felt the dad was involved?
Geraldo is a pig. He has done such irresponsible things over the years that I refuse to watch him. The focus should be on Haleigh. Instead of trying to slam the dad every chance she gets, she should be focused on Haleigh. If Junior was being beaten bloody and tossed down the stairs as this Lawyer has said on national television, he would have been removed from the father’s home. Whatever the father’s problems are (and I am not saying he has none)should be addressed later and in court. I do not believe the mom believes the dad did this. She herself said Haleigh was Ron’s heart. She allowed him to take the children to Mexico when she had custody. If he is so abusive why did she allow this? Her boyfriend who is also her stepbrother and the father of her baby also has a record. He also has a restraining order for violence on children and it kept him away from his own children for two years. I do not believe a word the mother says. She had my support till she started lying and I read the court records which show that she has been lying and lies even in court.

I don’t git how she can do this when her kid is missing. Because she is mixing things up and telling huge lies and she knows she is doing it. No way does she even believe what she is saying. I can’t figure this and I am starting to wonder if her or Chad is involved in some way. Cause why is she doing all this. I do know her to a bit from before and no way does she believe this. You would of thought NG would have learned, how wrong she could be, with the Duke Lacrosse team, she wouldn’t even get on the air that night, the whole truth came out……to apologize for the way she slung mud!!! Whatever the truth may be of all this….AND I do have MY OPINION, of what the truth is…I pray that Haleigh is safe & found…and even if the angel has gone HOME where she will always be safe, I wish they could lay her to peace! I watch Nancy Grace every night . I think its wonderful what she does to help missing children and also adults.
Some people don’t like her becauseshe doesn’t put up with the B S and she gets down to the truth of it all.
It,s also ashame and dishearting that some people fail to see the goodness in others and how they make a difference in this world we live in.

With Misty being such a heavy sleeper, it doesn’t make her a very good babysitter if that was a viable story.
Also, since Misty is so young and in a very bad situation, why can’t they put her in protective custody? I think it would be enlightening.

It’s been 40 days since Haliegh has been missing and I’m afraid that(God forbid) she is no longer with us. But I had an interesting dream the other night. Haliegh is alive and well and has been hidden from Ron and Misty for safety reasons. In the dream Ron and Misty get their comeuppance from law enforcement and Cobra and Teresa Neves lost her job in law enforcement for withholding information about Haliegh. Someone is hurting Floridas children and it seems no one cares. Has John Couey been executed yet?

If you aren’t smart enough to interpret a court record you shouldn’t be commenting on them. Anyone who thinks Ron “got off” on his drug charges needs to go back and read the record and take their dictionary with them.
It’s way too late for Crystal to fix her public persona. She lied coming out the gate and there is no way to take it back. She lied when she said she was served for the custody case at a bogus address. This can be verified by the online record. (Take your dictionary if you have comprehension problems.) She responded in writing, then when a hearing was set she blew it off. Then she came back AFTER the hearing, and the judge allowed her to make her case (which was really pathetic when she admitted not taking Haleigh to doctor appointments because she didn’t feel like getting out of bed). She and her mother both took to the airwaves saying Ron was a druggie. If you live in a glass house you shouldn’t throw rocks, though Grandma Griffis’ arrest was back when Crystal was a 12-year-old. Some role model, heh? Is Grandma Griffis still using drugs? Is she still running a drug house? Is that where Crystal’s boyfriend bought the cocaine he was arrested for possessing? Sarah’s pictures of Crystal’s 23rd birthday certainly don’t indicate Crystal has extricated herself from the partying lifestyle. When was the last time you were in your car with a beer in your hand? Crystal and her boyfriend were in their vehicle with beers in their hands on her 23rd birthday. They posed for pictures under the blacklight pot leaf poster and the STONER WAY sign. Do you know anyone who quit using drugs, but still hangs out with their druggie friends?
If Geraldo and Craig didn’t pay Crystal for their “interviews” where did she get the money to rent the building, paint it, etc? If she has that kind of money, why didn’t she pay her child support? Crystal is a deadbeat mom.
What kind of mother wouldn’t take her child to a doctor if she felt they were being abused? Why didn’t Crystal take them to the doctor? If you believed that your child was the only witness to a crime and the perpetrator was still out there and unidentified, would you put your child on TV so the criminal would be able to identify him on sight?
Crystal once said “He loves Haleigh. I know Haleigh is his heart, and I do not think he hurt her” and now her ‘attorney’ is claiming he bashed Haleigh’s face. Geraldo, Craig, and Picazio have not done Crystal any favors. Maybe one day a professional family law attorney will explain to her how the presstitutes threw her under the bus. They don’t give a damn about Haleigh or Jr. They want their mugs on TV and they don’t care who gets hurt in the process.

I wonder, and I have not agreed with everything Nancy Grace has done and said on this case, but still I wonder if maybe she knows something we don’t. Nancy doesn’t normally let herself be backed in a corner people!! We only know what Art keeps us up on, but none of us know what is REALLY happening in Satsuma, behind closed doors. There may be a very good reason for her taking the stand she has taken, and certainly for confidences she may be keeping….along with many other journalists who know the consequences of letting certain information out too soon. I have all my own theories on this case, but I am not going there. Let me close in saying that I think, of all journalists I have seen, Art Harris is reporting ALL that he sees, knows, and hears of, in an un-biased manner here on his site. I don’t tune into any channel anymore, I just come here daily to get the latest, and I know it will be here, no matter who is implicated in the report. Art, I think you are doing a great job and one of these days we will be seeing your face on your own show more than we see any other. God be with Haleigh.

I just want to say that when Haleigh first came up missing, and in this video here..Ron is balling and sobbing the way you do when a loved one is dead, not just missing.
also- People don’t get memorial tattoos for a living person within just 2 weeks of their disappearance. THAT IS A MEMORIAL TATTOO, NOT ONE OF HOPE.

The reason I don’t believe a word of anything that is on these blogs is for the pure fact that at least 1/2 of what is being written is incorrect. To Diana, Crystal was actually 13 when she had Haleigh which means she wasn’t 14 when they started dating. (Her DOB on the police report says 08/30/1989 so I don’t know why people keep claiming she’s 23) If Misty is 17 now and they have been dating for 6 months, how could she have starting dating Ronald at the age of 14. Debi, there are school records that prove that Haleigh fell from the monkey bars. I am not saying, though I do not believe, that nothing happened to Haleigh after the fall, but she did not show up at school with those bruises to begin with. To Karen, Crystal did not get an attorney to help “streamline her attempt” to find Haleigh, she got an attorney to regain custody of her son. Poochie, do you know for sure that Ronald just purchased his truck, if so, how do you know that? That’s a pretty bold accusation.
These are all pretty petty little facts, but it just goes to prove my point that not everything you read is the truth.
And for all of you that said that Ronald “took” those kids from Crystal, I have to disagree. He had them for his scheduled visitation and for whatever reason, Crystal never went back to get them. She claims he never brought them back to her. So what, oh well, I guess he can just have them? It’s not a sweater we’re talking about here people. To me, that’s abandonment. I don’t care how old she was or how scared she was of Ronald, those are her kids and she should have done anything and everything to get them back. She managed to have another baby with her step brother within the last year, if she felt stable enough to do that, why didn’t she fight before to get her first two kids back, especially if they were in an abusive situation. Horrible parenting. I left an abusive husband at the age of 23 with two small kids. He got an attorney and tried to fight me. I didn’t have an attorney. I showed up at every court date, by myself and did everything I was told to do. I have had custody of my kids for the last 16 years.
I am in no way defending Ronald and Misty or am I saying that they are ideal parents. But, I think Crystal is a sad excuse for a mother and I can’t believe how many of you are so defensive of her. We quit watching her too! I think she has been charmed by the snake. My ex who was(probably still is) was an abusive ass who lured people in by his “ever so caring attitude”. He abused his son as well as me badly. He stalked me and threatened my life while out on bail. When the authorities contacted him he charmed them also. Even his mom blamed me for sending him to school that day(I had cops waiting at the school), when asked why I sent him with the bruising and didn’t let him stay at home, I told her because he was safe there! They told me they couldn’t get him for bail jumping because he was looking at enough charges already! I feared him like nothing else in the world, but I wasn’t afraid to testify against him for what he did to his son. Nancy is charmed by this dim-wit and his Ms. Nancy bullshit. She will learn! I have never heard a drug addict admit they use and if they do they always say every once in a while. And the reason she hasn’t had much on the show lately is because she knows she is wrong.

Are you people kidding me??? The emotion shown when they called 911 is real – or he should be an award winning actor. I don’t suppose it occurred to anyone that Ron may have married Misty because he thinks she has some information that is needed, and marrying her will help him get her defenses down. Just because someone is poor, uneducated and lives in a trailor park – doesn’t make them bad. Alot of people right now have to live in trailor parks. The fact that everyone (who knows nothing about this case) is throwing stones at these poor parents is absolutely SICK! It is a miracle that they can get through the day right now. All they want is their daughter back. And if that means making Misty feel like he believes her – in order to get to the truth – I say more power to him. I would do the EXACT same thing. And the number of people that are calling this poor man all of these names, and throwing stones is just deplorable! The name calling and assumptions about his character started because of the mom’s lawyer Kim. Personally, I think she should be disbarred, coming out and saying things on national tv – that have not been substiated. She is making the situation worse. Of course Crystal is concerned about her son. Isn’t the lawyers job to help her navigate this? Kim you are doing a damn fine job of screwing this up. And I don’t blame Ronald for getting a lawyer. He certainly did not “lawyer up”. He got a lawyer – once Kim started piping up without the facts. He does need to protect his son, and himself. Innocent people do go to prison you know. And this thing about Cobra? Are you kidding me!!! He has a personal relationship with her, has purchased a house from her and everything else. Yeah, I really believe his non biased view. You can really tell that he is trying to get to the bottom of this. At this point, I think Kim is out to salvage her career, and nothing else. She looks like a damn fool on tv everynight – spouting off about things she doesn’t have all the facts about. This is about finding a 5 year old little girl! Not about careers. It just makes me sick that the majority of people aren’t after the same thing.

Briana–Jermonick Luther is said to be RON’s sister’s boyfriend, NOT Crystal’s sister’s boyfriend. Crystal Cummings is Ron’s sister. She has multiple arrests, as does Jermonick Luther. Jermonick Luther has nothing to do with Crystal Sheffield or the Sheffield family.
Vicky–You say “Kim started piping up without the facts.” So have you: Kim Picazio purchased a house from Cobra, not the other way around, as you stated. And how do you know Kim has no facts? DCF has confirmed that eyewitnesses have come in and provided sworn statements to them regarding how the children were treated. Kim also has been quite open about how she met Cobra, and that she later represented Cobra’s wife in a friendly divorce. I’m not sure why the fact that Kim knows Cobra would be a problem.

Shows how violent of a person he is…and PLEASE don’t hand me…his daughter was missing, he could of said anything….I WOULD HAVE BEEN FOCUSING ON WHAT SHE WAS WEARING, TRYING TO FIND THAT OUT, he didn’t even want to listen to the dispatcher…he was just screaming, he was angry NOT worried! There is a difference!! It’s obvious that he felt Misty was some how responsible for this, after hearing him ask her “Bi**h how you let my daughter get stole??” WHO cares if Cobra bought a house from Kim P. No one is really looking for the little girl. Not Ron, not misty, not Crystal, not Cobra, not Kim. The cops know that something terrible happened and they also know that the time line is not accurate. They know that Ron abuses both drugs and children. These two factors led to a discipline-related tragedy on the day in question, Probably before Ron went to work. Ron’s mom is in on the cover up b/c Ron is not smart enough to organize it himself. Misty is covering for Ron b/c she is scared to death to do otherwise. The rest of the family are just mopes. Crystal is playing this for all it worth. Kim smiles ear-to-ear whenever they say her name on national TV. Pro-bono my butt, you can’t buy that kind of publicity.
Those of you who are taking sides on this forum sound about a dumb as the multiple blended families and here’s a newsflash-most of you are not really looking for the little girl. You know darn well what happened. I would like nothing better than to be wrong on this but do the math. And as far as the commenter who compared this to the Jessica Lunsford case, you couldn’t be more wrong. Jessica really was abducted and killed by a pedophile. Her dad was sincere in his grief and did not appear to be stoned when interviewed. Notice that I was able to say all this without typing any words in all caps.

Misty said she woke up JUST BEFORE 3am then changed it to 3 somthing that she only remembers seeing a 3.
Misty said both children were in bed with her.
Misty said she woke up to get WATER then changed it to the bathroom.
Misty said as soon as she noticed Haleigh was missing, she REACHED for her cell phone to call Ronald on his cell phone. Therefore, Ronald ALREADY KNEW Haleigh was missing BEFORE he got home!
PLUS, Ronald when giving a report to the police officer refers to Misty as his “DUMB BITCH GIRLFRIEND”.
Both have denied he ever called her that! However, it’s reported here and on the 911 call.

The van was in Misty Croslin’s possession the night 5 year old Haleigh Cummings disappeared. Misty DOES NOT even have a driver’s license!?!? How could she possibly OWN a van. She shouldn’t even be driving it!!!
CBS47 says the van belongs to the Croslin family, but if you pay attention to Misty’s frantic call to her sister she refers to the van as “my van”. Ronald probably bought the van for Misty and registered it in another Croslin family members name. So techniquely the police would have to return the van to its registered owner being Chelsey!
Plus, Misty has already admitted to driving Haleigh to school when Ronald was too tired to wake up.

Wow, we all have so much to vent..what a lot of incredible humans we are..we really do love our own species, we are all caring and loving Americans who believe that good should prevail..it is sad to think that our system is so broken..Tracy # 65..I worked in the school system for 15 years, I have two daughters that are school teachers..schools dismiss many things..Haleigh could of arrived at school that morning with marks not yet trueley seen, the yard duty could of seen her on the monkey bars and perhaps she did fall..but these are severe for tan bark playground that is most common for her grade level activities. Cement yes, or abuse yes..I was abused for almost thirty years and believe me if I thought I could of walked out of my marriage alive with my three children intact, I would of long time before I did. I walked on egg shells my entire years from 20 to 48..of course this was my fault and I have to carry my poor choices with me every day…now i have the chance to make good choice, but even now bad behavior gets in the way sometimes and it is very difficult to by pass it..There is nothing more my heart would like to feel, than little sweet Haleigh coming home, but I do not think this is a reality..I believe that an accident happened at home, she saw something, she knew something, she was punished perhaps..and a cover up was made to to the police..there is something about Ron, Misty and Teresa that speaks Susan Smith to me..Forgive me! for my feelings..I believe that Jr belongs with his mother, until you have walked in those shoes of abuse..you will do just about anything to get away…Crystal could not of been 13 when she had Haleigh, that would make her only 18 now.
The pig thing with Teresa Neves is just so strange, I think she wanted to tell someone what she knows. I think the Florida system really needs to do some house cleaning within the Police Department.

I have not seen Crystal mention Haleigh in the last few weeks except for mentioning her name with regards to abuse allegations against Ron. Or when she mentions an event to obtain donations. I know if my daughter was missing I would use precious media time to sling mud, and not beg for my daughters return, not tell her I love her just in case she happens to be watching. Crystals attorney wants to blame Ron for giving Crystal drugs at a very young age, abusing her, tearing her down and the list goes on. Crystal was exposed to drugs by her mother who was charged with maintaining a drug dwelling, when Crystal was 10 yrs old well before Ron even came in the picture. Crystal was exposed to violence by her father and the other man she had a child with Johnny Lauramore well before Ron came into the picture. Crystal admits to using cocaine during her preg with JR and she was not even living in the household with Ron at the time. Crystal is living with a man who has possession of cocaine charges that are more recent then Ronalds drug charges, this man also had an order of protection that involved his two minor children for two years. When do people start taking responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming others and playing the poor victim card.
Ron works for a company that does random drug testing, is it not possible that while not perfect Ron straightened and stopped using illegal drugs so that he could do better for his children that he fought to get custody of. He has been reported to DCF by a vengeful Marie Griffis, and nothing has come out of those investigations. Are we to believe that Ron is abusing those children, yet doctors, school professionals, members of the church, DCF and LE all looked the other way? Which story of Crystals do we believe she never saw abuse on the children until Haleigh went missing. Or I took photos and have reported him a few times over the last 4 years?
Does anyone find it odd that Crystals seizures happen when only family member witnesses them? Yet the hospital just checks her out and sends her right on home? Not even sure about the fender bender, it was reported Johnny saw her stopped and she was having a seizure and taken by ambulance, however 2 other stations report Crystal drove herself to the hospital and told them she had a seizure and it caused her to rearend a car.

Haleigh was taken just hours before Caylee’s Memorial,with all the Nation watching.Four years ago to the day,Feb 10th, two boys were taken in Jacksonville walking home from middle school.In Crystal City,in the last two weeks,a 10 year old boy was taken from his home in the middle of the night,man went in a locked door,without a sign of a break in.He didn’t harm the boy,dropped him off in the road a mile away.LE went to the parents home,knocked on the door and the family was not even aware he was missing,they had been asleep.The man had a pick up truck,with a boxer or similar type dog w/muzzle.He had a tatoo with an alligator with fish in it’s mouth on one arm and a bear on the other arm.I wonder if the locals would know of a man fitting this description could have seen him at dog fights using his dog.I think someone wants attention,maybe he took the boy,because he wanted to use him to draw attention to himself.How much fear would that cause to parents,knowing a man could get in a locked door and take your child and you wouldn’t know it?Maybe not the same guy,but how many other circumstances as this are happening in the surrounding areas,this could be a serial or copycat?If so,he will strike again and while all this custody bickering and garbage is going on,someone’s taking children from thier beds.Misty’s a teenager and I think flighty,so maybe it’s being misinterpreted as having something to hide.She could have been sleeping.In the meantime,information needs to be gathered in the last maybe five years of things such as this for similarities in names,dates,etc.DCF employees or people having access to children.Ronald used to live in Leesburg,where Trenton is missing.Was Trenton’s parents involved with DCF?I think there’s a bigger problem than what people are seeing.

The reason is Tracy… she had no drivers license, Ron wouldn’t let her get one while she was with him. It was when she left with the kids, and Ron came and took the kids, and using her Mother’s influence got custody of them. It was after that she got her licence. I do believe she said it was when she turned 20. I did the Math on her Birth date and it says that she was about 15 when she had Haleigh. Quote me if I’m wrong… 2009 – 1989 = 20 – 5 = 15, and she left him because he was abusive to her, she was smart to leave with the kids. He never even spent time with them, while they were together in fact he hit her in the stomach while she was pregnant. He was on drugs at the time and from what I know she was too but stopped when she was pregnant, who wouldn’t I know I would. While she was with him it was her that took care of them it was when she left that he became spiteful and took them. To me that is a form of kidnapping, as it is my belief that the children belong with the mother until proven otherwise. Look at him both Misty and Ron both are doing drugs, they can’t even look you in the face, not to mention if you look at his behavor, he has a gun, screams, spends the money not for looking for Haleigh but for smokes, knocking his ex down, possibly drugs, who in their right mind would leave their children with a 17 year old, not to mention marrying, child molester in my books and contributes to under age. In fact he even admits to preferring young woman, that is just sick!! look at his behavor… wanting to kill someone while in a cop car, sure that must be stress talking but even so what does that show you and his kids what type of person he is not to mention what kind of example is that for your kids to see that. That would tramatize them for life and have to seek councilling. At lease Chrystal has a web page and his also helping to find other missing children with the donations. I just want to say one thing. This case is about a missing little girl not their parent`s problems no matter how much everybody wants to know everything about them. Ron was not charged with any drug possession in the courts. So if there was not any charges all of these arrests could have been fabricated by cops(not saying they were,but there is always a possibility.) I live in an area that the police here would plant any kind of evidence on a person and claim they did this and that. As for another point doesn`t Ron`s place of employment do random drug testing. I know at my place of employment they do and if you get caught with a positive result you are usually fired or demanded to go to rehab before you are considered to be allowed to work in the company I work for.

I don’t believe Ronald’s tears in the first video are real. He has not shed a tear since…oh how we get over grief quickly and Haleigh isn’t even found.
Give Crystal a break. She is trying. Unless you have been in a controlling and abusive relationship with someone, you will never understand why some women just walk away. Ronald has drug arrests on his record…funny, I didn’t see any on Crystals.

Whatever – you all act like you know who did what. When you don’t. You are judging people that you do not know. This is a country where you are innocent until proven guilty – and you all say you would act this way or that way – but you don’t know until you are in that situation.
If I came home from work at 3am and my daughter was missing – I would be taking zanax too. So saying that Ron is stoned because he is a druggie is wrong. You don’t know. Crystal is also taking zanax too and I would be doing the exact same thing. They have been on national tv day after day – keeping Hayleighs’ name out there.
Personally, one of the things that I have found fascinating about these comments are the number of people who accuse someone of being an abuser and they don’t know them. The number of people who assume because someone got a tattoo there is a neferious reason for that. It seems like a bunch of you know so much. Then why is the child missing? You know what happened? Where is she??? Instead it is alot more fun to make value judgements about these poor parents. There have been alot of children taken from their home. And some of these children have been kidnapped from affluent homes with parents that are above reproach.
I just pray that Hayleigh is going to be found soon and I know the majority of you feel the same way. But man, talk about kicking someone when they are down. Ron did not lawyer up – until Kim P started mouthing off. It is blatantly obvious that she is all about being on tv.

Princess Mononoke, I had heard it was a memorial tattoo from folks around Satsuma. I agree with you that this is foretelling.
I remember seeing her picture flash across the screen, after watching the Caylee Marie Anthony memorial. My eyes were still red from the tears that came strolling down over this beautiful little girl. A child I have never met.
I went and turned up the television so I could hear better. I suddenly got chills. I had seen this little girl before ,but at that moment I could not remember where. Then the reporter stated it was in Satsuma,Fl. I must have seen her briefly in one of my often visits.
I listened carefully to the interviews and right from the beginning I knew Misty knew something.
I don’t care about Kim Picazio, Cobra and their relationship or how they may know each other.This is irrelevant to the matter at hand . Who cares about how much publicity they recieve as long as its positive and their help in this investigation helps find Haliegh.
If people would just stick to the facts they would know Crystal Sheffield is not the one behind her daughters diappearance. Crystal Sheffield did say Ronald loves Haliegh
, but she also stated that he has no control over his temper
and hopes he did not lose it with Haliegh. Crystal says she did not witness any abuse , but she has seen him hit the children. It just was not in abusive way. Nothing in any way to call DCF over and be told it was in legal means of discipline. We all know you can love someone and still do harm to them; especially if you cannot control yourself. The regrets are there after , but by this time it often too late.
Lets all just keep praying to bring Haliegh home no matter what. I would surely hate to see another child taken so early and by the hands of the ones they should be able to trust the most.
To comment on the criminal history of Ronald Cummings. Ronald had primary custody of Haliegh and Jr. while he was still involved with his habits well after Crystal Sheffield left him. Where were his children at the time of all these arrest and complaints? Ron told Meredith on the Today Show his personal life is noones business, but I beg to differ. When anyone comes up murdered or missing your personal life could very well be the cause of it.
Everyone has a past. Some worse than others. If Crystal can go into a court room or on national television and tell the truth , as damning as it is, to try and find her daughter; then why can’t Ron? You have to respect Crystal for that. She is not worried about her personal life, because her life will be hollow with out Haliegh. I don’t see Ron marrying Misty because she may know where Haliegh may be. If this were true he could have gained her trust without marriage. People ask why now! That Crystal is bringing up abuse allegations. Well this has been answered many times over. People came to her after she arrived in Satsuma to give her this information, not to mention the calls she made to DCF prior. Remember Crystal was not the only one who called DCF on Ron for abuse allegations on his children. There was his other teen age girl friend Amber, who also had a child from Ronald. Amber got away from him. Crystal got away from him ,but not without consequences.
To Art, Cobra ,Kim Picazio and to any law enforcement personal, please keep looking and investigating. Don’t let these children fall through another crack. Let Justice prevail!!!!
Oh by the way to anyone who watched NG last night. She pointed finger to Putnam LE for taking so long to get cadaver dogs involved with Halieghs disappearance during an interview with detective in Tracy California. Sandra Cantu, the 8 year old girl missing there. They already brought in cadaver dogs and checked the surrounding dumpsters.
In closing I would like everyone to pray for Haliegh ,Sandra Cantu and do not forget little 6 year Adji Desir out of Immok, Fl and all missing. They need to be found.

I happen to think that Ron is “not” the best parent to have custody and although I have never met the man, I just don’t like his actions and I don’t care for Misty’s either. I suppose if I was living in Satsuma and involved with drugs then I might have had the inopportunity of meeting up with him. And “no”, not everyone has done wrong like Ron has, but if you think that he needs “help” to get back on track than maybe you could recommend a good rehab center. I was just thinking,Awhile ago 3 differnt cadaver dogs hit on the trash dumpster by Haleigh’s home where Ron used to live.I was just wondering if the police and FBI have searched the landfil?.Cadaver dogs don’t hit on things if there was no body.If not maybe you should tell LE to go search it.Thanks again.. You know what Crystal should have went about things differently when it came to regaining custody of her children but the fact is she was just a child herself and sure she should have thought about that before she had an adult relationship with a man!! But I think she is trying to do the right thing now! Ronald is no saint what the hell was he thinking leaving his children with a 17 year old that he know was not responsible!! If my child came up missing and the other one was still living in that enviroment I would want to know my child was safe to and the way to do that is to make sure I got custody back from two apparent irresponsible people one being her father!! And obviously the girlfrriend knows more than she is telling which i find disgusting! How dare her let these parents go threw this knowing what happened!! I really am trying to grasp why people or some media outlets are more outraged about crystal trying to protect her some from these two monsters and regain custody than they are about him getting married in the mist of all of this i thinks this is far worse than a mother trying to protect her child!! Why would you marry a girl that may be responsible for his childs disappearance!!! And as far as the whole house thing between the KP and Cobra I bought a house and the people we bought our house from I know nothing about them and didn’t she represent his wife in the divorce?? In response to Debi Marion’s post on March 30th, I agee totally with you Debi. I recognized immediately that Ron seemed like a woman beater. It appeared that Misty was totally afraid of him. I think though that Ronald is the one that did something to Haleigh and that is why Misty didn’t call until he got home. I think the 911 call was a complete fabrication that Ronald made up and that he had told Misty what to say and that that is why she can’t keep her story straight….because it is not her own made up story…it is one that someone else directed her to say. From what I hear, the authorities are scaling back on their efforts to find Haleigh….if she were alive it is a crime that because of all the shit Ron and Misty are feeding the authorities is causing them to not even want to help them anymore….but I don’t blame them. I, too was beaten severely for 12 years, and the abuser can hide it from most people, but once you see one, they are easier to spot.

Yes, people do make mistakes, just like Crystal did by giving him custody to begin with. In light of everything that has come out, Crystal deserves a 2nd chance. Crystal wasn’t even in the area. Ronald left the children with Misty and she may not have even been home at the time. Crystal gave a drug test and was clean. Where is Ronald’s drug test?

Vicky I beg to differ with you… for one i’ve been watching this case from the beginning. Just look at this man’s temper, he calls Misty a Biotch or why did you let them take her B***** and who in the right mind would marry a Minor when their child is missing and he admitted to liking them young. It has been said that she was with another Man the night she was taken. I see the way he acts on TV and if it was my child I wouldn’t marry someone (enemy to keep closer as he stated, and his sister has a criminal record not to mention her b/f too BTW is Black, i’m not prejudice when I say that… just for the record and sake of arguement) He even said he would shoot the man who did this, that might be caused by stress but who knows for sure. You can say it but… will he act?? Are main objective here is to FIND HALEIGH!! ASAP Setting all aside which includes both sides, she’s the important one and when found the truth will rear it’s ugly head!! Not to mention within the courts, we will find out who is responisble and who did what, whether it was Ron and Misty or just Misty!! Now don’t you think someone is sick for marrying a Minor?? I know I would say NO!! When my daughter was with my parents, BTW: I could have charged them with kidnapping but I thought maybe the could help her, but looking back I know I was wrong, but i can’t turn the clock back. I came from an abusive family and we still don’t talk to each other or have anything to do with each other as well. I do believe my belated Mother was trying to make emends.
Anyway my daughter at 16 snuck out of my parents house, got knocked uped my a 22 year old, she was drunk one night while driving a Quad, they were both using Meth too, even while she was pregnant. She jumped off the druck while it was moving as well. Well on the Quad the handle bar hit her in the stomach and they flew her to the Hospital in a Helicopter, she had a 2 lb. baby boy and now he has cebral palsey and with a nurse now, the only way he can eat is with a tube in his stomach. They took the child away fro them because they felt they were unfit not to mention and to me this matters, they weren’t married. She went on to have to kids later, they’re still not married and the 10 years that they were together, he screwed around on her 9 years out of the 10. So you tell me who is not a good authority on such matters as these. I saw a councillor or a shrink and he said there is nothing wrong with me, i’m not coo coo as my parents claimed I was, we were and are a normal family. Hubby and I have been together now for over 30 years. My parents mentally, physically abused me and my brother raped me so to me I think I came along way from that and still surviving, they have to stand before God with what they did and are still doing to me. I even beat my addition to codiene by myself with no help from anyone. So with that all said, and check out all the links on these posts as well as everything and find out for yourself who is bad in all this mess. I for one wouldn’t have anyone like Misty watch my children, she is by far very untrustworthy not to mention immature to boot. He should have let is Mother watch her instead and I bet Haleigh would still be here!! Even that is better than Misty or even the Bio-Mom!! I am still praying for you and love you Haleigh!! *MUAH* oxox

Winterrose, I don’t think it is silly to not watch Nancy Grace. She has lost her sense of fairness lately. Nancy Grace is not the only show in town. With Primetime and JVM, they cover the same stories and are nicer about it.
Seizures are caused by several things so please don’t attribute it to drug usage. Some are born having seizures all their life. I hope it is nothing serious.
As far as Crystal wanting custody of junior…to get him out of the house now before something happens to him. When and if Haleigh comes home, I am sure Crystal will pursue custody of Haleigh too.
You do not go through life with that many arrests for drugs and there not be some truth to it. What amazes me is Ronald did little or no time; often, even the fines were written off or suspended. Why? I have never heard of that happening before. You can tell the character of a person by the company he keeps. Well, Misty is binging with other men and drugs seems to fall in the family so why associate yourself with ppl who use drugs if you don’t use them yourself? We are not talking about an occasional joint here. He has been arrested for possession of cocaine, meth, GHB (rape drug), so what else has he had and not been arrested for possessing? There is definitely something very wrong here. It is not normal for a man to marry someone that he knows just had a binge/intimate relationship with another man. Why and what was he thinking? He doesn’t have to keep her close to keep an eye on her because LE is not going to let her go anywhere.
As far as the door. The inside door was not closed. There were clothes on the floor in front of the washer and dryer and they stopped the door from closing all the way. When the tape of the inside of the trailer was shown, they did put a piece of clothing down on the floor and it did stop the door from closing all the way.
I don’t like the fact that law enforcement has been so mum about this whole case. I can understand about not wanting leaks but it has been almost 2 months since Haleigh went missing. What are they doing and where is this investigation going. You can’t tell me they don’t have some evidence from within that house or on the doors. Maybe the FBI should come in and take this case over because something is just not right in Satsuma.

Sharilyn & Debi Doll – I can’t believe that this is bothering me so badly, but I also did the math and if Crystal is 19, as stated on the police report, she will be 20 on August 30 of this year. If Haleigh was born on August 16, 2003 she is 5 and we will be turning 6 before Crystal turns 20. I believe that 19 – 6 = 13. Correct me if I am wrong……and I am serious, this is causing me such a headache.
I don’t understand what her not having a drivers license has to do with anything. If you are having sex, having babies, doing drugs, and hanging out with a 20 year old man, you certainly have the street smarts to figure out how to get on a bus, especially to get your kids to school or a doctors appointment, which she apparantly could not do.
I just find it too coincidental that the only proof of abuse that they have just happens to coincide with her fall at school. If they had any other proof, I would be more willing to belive that this injury was caused by abuse. Not speculation, not gossip, proof.
Again, I am not saying that Ronald & Misty are not involved in some indirect way by that they have been leading a very dangerous lifestyle. But, I honestly do not believe that Ronald hurt that little girl. Just my personal feeling, not saying that I am right, it’s just what I feel. I just think that there are so many rumors and some exagerated story telling coming from people who believe they know someone by seeing them on TV. None of us know them personally so we can’t act as if we do.
I hope this is resolved soon for the sake of everyone involved. No matter how they are perceived on TV or in the media, I feel sorry for all of them. No one she have to go through this.

Woah, take the blinders off, there, Joan Stewart! Before you talk about what a GREAT mom Crystal is, let’s talk about why she doesn’t have her kids, how Haleigh ended up face down in the canal, why she’s got drug and alcohol photos all over her MySpace page (oh, and a couple of pictures of Haleigh and Jr. among the 50 or so of her stepbrother’s kid), and why she didn’t bring any of this to light BEFORE all this happend so Haleigh would still be here? Why did she miss all those doctor appointments for Haleigh? Why’d she move 200 miles away from her 2 kids? Why’d she report her car stolen when she lied about it? (did she loan it out to HER dealer in trade for a few hits?) There’s a lot of blame to go around in this mess, and it goes ALLLLL around. How’s grandma’s arrest record? How come no one in the family stepped up if all that happened as you say it did really did happen? There’s culpability for every single adult that knew what was going on with those two kids and turned a blind eye to it! Every single one of you! How horrible for Haleigh. If she ever does come back, they should be given to ANYONE in either of these back-stabbing families.

I am sooooo glad somethings are coming to light about “POOR INNOCENT MISTY”, Cocaine, sex, pot…the weekend before Haleigh’s disappereance!!!! It is amazing to me the number of people that know Ron, Misty, and Crystal. What I think is really funny is how many of you know for a fact that Ron is an abuser! It is amazing to me that you all know that based off of television interviews. You know what he did and Misty did – and Crystal did and do. You say because he called Misty a name – that makes him abusive. Personally, I can’t say that I wouldn’t call someone the same thing when coming home from work at 3am and my 5 year old was gone. Can you imagine the automatic panic? I know how scared I was when my teenager broke curfew and couldn’t find him – let alone my 5year old – specifically when Caylee has been in the news. I would imagine that my mind would automatically go to worse case scenerio? And I would imagine that I would threaten to kill someone too – as the parent of a little girl – considering what is happening in this world. That must make me abusive as well. All of these people know that Ron is abusive and feel the need to defend Crystal. Well guess what? If Ron is indeed abusive “what does that make Crystal”? She moved 2 hours away – and did absolutely NOTHING to protect her children. The fact of the matter is nobody knows or has said where Hayleigh is. Personally, I happen to believe Ronald. I do – he has consistantly said that he will answer any questions that he can – all he wants is Hayleigh back. When you look at that in comparision to the Anthony’s – it is really upsetting that because these people live in a trailer park, and don’t have the same resources – it is assumed that they did this. Misty is 17 years old. In many states that makes her an adult. When someone commits a crime in Michigan – 17 makes them an adult. This isn’t the 1950′s you know. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old – the mother of his children chose to move 2 hours away – and obviously wasn’t helping him much – it was much more fun to have a baby with her step brother. I guess he should have stayed home and collected welfare versus supporting his children. Give me a break!

This press release is the one of the few intelligent things I have seen in this case. I agree with Ron’s lawyers — first, to those citing Ron’s arrest record –Those were a couple of minor arrests where the charges were dropped. There has simply been no proof displayed of Ronald having any kind of drug problem.
Second, what IS the relationship between Kim Picazio and this screwball William E. Staubs? She seems like an extremely unethical lawyer and he seems like a wannabe cop.
Crystal Sheffield, to me, seems learning disabled to the point of being what used to be called retarded. She can barely speak. I think it is morally, ethically, and legally wrong for any journalist or any lawyer to involve this woman in any doings when she obviously lacks the mental capacity to judge. No normal mother would bring her young child on television and display him to the public as a witness to a crime.
Picazio, Staubs, the Riveras, and some others are using Crystal for their own fame and gain. This to me seems to be preying upon the mentally disabled. I think Picazio and Staubs should lose their licenses — if Staubs has any such thing. Staubs’ behavior is particularly nefarious in that he is trying to drum up racist hate by publicly accusing a named Black man of this crime. And Picazio is thoroughly unethical for publicly making her claims of child abuse. I have rarely been so ashamed of a fellow lawyer as I am of her.
Throughout this incident, I have been frightened by the display of stupidity by the commenting public. it seems it is very easy to trick many in the public with shoddy journalism, rumors, gossip, unfounded accusations. I am equally appalled by the poor sentence construction, grammar, and spelling in many comments I have seen. It makes me fear that we are moving toward an illiterate America. This is no trivial point, for if a great number of people lack critical reading and thinking skills, our democracy is in jeopardy.
This three ring circus has not brought Haleigh back.

I know there is one e-mail address that it defaults to when the bookmark to your site is opened, and likely each person only changes the name and doesn’t bother with the e-mail address. I personally try to remember to change the e-mail address when I post, but I can’t speak for anyone else. We do enjoy your site since discovering it, however.
As for monanoke…contribute your $ to whomever you choose…I hardly think anyone cares. The point was, someone posted that the money donated to the Haleighbug Foundation was to help find Haleigh and other missing children, and per their website, that simply isn’t true. The website clearly states that the money will be used by Haleigh’s mother (Crystal) and HER family for living expenses while they’re relocated in Satsuma while Haleigh’s gone. The question remains, what did Crystal do for money before Haleigh went missing, because we know she didn’t work or pay child support. Feel free to pay it for her if you so choose. I noticed Ron’s going back to work on Monday, which actually surprises me. Now Misty will have her evenings free again to do whomever…errruhhhhh, whatever she chooses. This will be about the time she trips up.

Wow! I guess you told me, Staci. Did you know that a 17 year old is considered an adult if they commit a crime? No? Didn’t think so!
You might want to consider therapy because obviously you have problems with men. You are not perfect, nor do you know what really happened.
It makes me sick that these people are being dragged through the mud, during the worst time in their lives. Like I said before – nothing like kicking someone when they are down. Did you realize that Polly Klas, Elizabeth Smart, and Danielle Van Dam (sorry can’t spell) were all taken out of their beds in the middle of the night? These parents are above reproach. Then you look at Caylee. Her grandmother is a nurse, and father was a police officer. So you would think that what happened to her would never happen in that type of family.
Just because they live in a trailer park, and do not have the best education or resoures do not mean that they automatically did it, or are abusers. Alot of people live in trailer parks, and are great parents. It is difficult though when you are trying to raise your children without alot of help from the other parent. Because she chose to live 2 hours away – having her keep the children at night isnt really an option.
But because you know Ronald, Misty and Crystal personally, you have all the answers. Maybe you should contact the detectives that are working this case, because you know what happened. Obviously they are not doing their jobs. And you should do it for them.

Well, Art…I can tell you the 11 of us here that are involved with this site are 23-41 professionals, all very caring and committed individuals who are very active in abused women/children causes. This story has hit us all particularly hard, as we’re all from around this area (St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, etc.). The majority are convinced Misty’s far more involved than she’s letting on, and ALL are convinced that with Ron going back to work tomorrow, it’s just a matter of time before she can’t stand it any more, hits the road partying (maybe even with Greg, but you can bet there’ll be eyes AND EARS all over that little party – maybe even courtesy of Greg), and runs her mouth to the wrong person while drunk and/or high on something. She’s been under Ron’s thumb now for a couple of weeks, and you can BET she’s chomping at the bit to “get her party on” without him, particularly since his moods bound to be really BAD, what with her making him look like a complete fool over the Greg thing right about now. All are also convinced that Crystal doesn’t have her head on straight enough right now to handle one child, let alone 3. No job, no driver’s license, physical “conditions” being looked at…it’s just not an ideal situation for 3 children, particularly if one of them has been through a horrible ordeal (sweet little Haleigh) like this. Add that to the fact that Haleigh will be needing a large amount of counseling, as well as ongoing doctor’s appointments for her condition, and none of us can imagine that Crystal is capable of handling that. We all know Ron and Misty party, and if her 23rd birthday photos a couple of months ago are any indication, Crystal likes to party a bit herself. Even if, by the Grace of God, she really HAS slacked off, the tension of this situation, plus being dosed with an addictive mood altering drug like Xanax, does not lending itself to a long-term, successful recovery. We’re also all (for the most part) convinced that Kim P. hasn’t done anything to help her situation, and if anything has made it worse…that and the new makeover/nails, for whatever reason). So there you have it from 11 professionals who follow this story VERY closely. We do like this site, and are pleased that you let people have their say here.

P.S. – I’d say you’re probably pretty close to accurate in your assessment of your audience, though it’s obvious there are also family members from both the Cummings and Sheffield camp on here, and they seem to be the most convinced that their opinions and theories are the most accurate of anyone’s.

Ethel, Webslueths has an automated system, per them, that accepts or rejects e-mail addresses, and they don’t allow any free e-mail sites (yahoo, hotmail, AOL, etc.). They will only allow you to register using a “paid for” service, like the e-mail address provided to you by your ISP provider (bellsouth.net, comcast.net, etc.). Stinks, I know, but that’s their policy!!

Put aside the mud slinging, criminal records, drug use and focus on what has been reported and what the police initially found the first several days.
Someone was sleeping. Different case, same story. I child is missing. The police noted foot prints. The cannine had a trail. The parents are distraught as is the jaded teenage girlfriend.
The cadavor dogs also hit on a smell in the dumpster nearby.
They did not note they saw any other footprints along with small foot prints. The father noted Haleigh shoes were still in the house.
What is plausable? Haleigh was not well and needed an inhaler 3 x a day. If she was having health problems could she have left the home to a family memebers home nearby and the case would have to be researched from there.
Did she get lost? Hit by a car? Kidnapped or have an episode that required immediate healthcare and someone cover up the tracks?

Why do people say things like “arrest her ’til she talks?” Don’t you think they would if they could? They have nothing to arrest her for! They can guess all they want, and we can be sure she knows something all we want, but the reality is, they have no grounds YET for which to arrest her. They can’t keep her with the evidence they have now, or they would have. Are you wanting her to get a free walk?? ‘Cause that’s absolutely what will happen if they arrest her. And in the meantime, she’s not in a place where she can slip up like she is now. And when she does, they’ll be watching…waiting. Then, and only then, will they arrest her…when they have PROOF she’s done something. Until then, it’s all just speculation.

Well, I myself don’t FEEL for Ron!! I myself FEEL for Crystal! As a mother, I have LIVED a situtaion similar to hers! No, I wasn’t on drugs…TEST proven…I did not just marry my EX…I MARRIED HIS FAMILY, if you can understand my meaning of that!! When, it came to the resolve of my marriage..I didn’t have a chance in hell for custody of my daughter! WHY??? Because talk is cheap Briana, his family wrote affidavits of LIES on me…and now they admit it!!! Do, I have my daughter, No…I moved away as Crystal did, why she did, without talking to her one on one, I don’t know!! But, let me tell you, I relate to Crystal, I feel compassion for her! Because you have no judgement on that woman UNTIL you have walked in her shoes! People judge her because she DIDN’T have custody of her children…you read stories on the net & you hear gossip on the TV, you don’t know her!! I have saw records of Ronald’s arrest, I have viewed him out getting married, running off to NYC, I have seen him leaving a tattoo shop on TV. Crystal, I have saw her trying to stand up for herself, opening the haleighbug center…which I am sure came from donations!! That wasn’t just put there for free…someone is paying for the electricity in that building, the phone lines…have you ever given HER the benefit of the doubt?? NO you haven’t, you have done nothing on this site, but talk about her makeovers!!!! What has she done, except put some make up on??? How do you know those are NEW clothes she is wearing??? We all come on here, with our opinions…but honestly…and I am guilty myself, of assuming things and assuming doesn’t get anything, but making an ass out of u and me both!! You continue to FEEL for Ronald ok…I pray for you Briana, that if you have children, you never live in a controlling relationship to where, you may at sometime loose your child or children!! As for me, I have joint custody of my daughter…but AFTER all the filing of paperwork is done & things are WORDED certain ways in documents…MY JOINT CUSTODY, don’t amount to shit!!! I love my daughter, whose name happens to be Haleigh…same spelling, she is beautiful….and I am so emotional now, typing this, I can’t even read what I am typing!! So you see, if you don’t have money to fight for what you know is right, you do all you can do, to protect your children!! I have, and I didn’t do it out of spite. My daughter, was living within 20 feet of a pedohpile…her step-mom’s uncle…he had molested her (Haleigh’s) step-sister & I found out…I reported it, because her mom knew about it months before, when it happened & did NOTHING!!! HER OWN DAUGHTER…and my daughter, was within feet of him, living in a camper in their back yard!! I went to social services, they investigated, interviewed the child & it was founded she had been molested, the uncle was arrested & admitted to what he did!! Ok, another one for you, I reported this at the same time…for it was when I went to the state in which my daughter lives to check this out, that I found out about the molestation…I went because my daughter had an accident…and needed immediate medical attention, she was bleeding & her father tried to take her to the ER…stepmom steps in and says no…so my daughter didn’t go to the ER…she went to my g-ma’s a few days later & the injury she had was FILTHY and INFECTED!! My g-ma called me, she took her to the ER, I was on the first plane there!!! The emergency room report was given to Social Services along with several other documentations & still…after that and the molestation thing…my daughter still resides in that home!!! NOW…that I have hashed out my personal life…maybe you will understand a little better of me FEELING for Crystal Sheffield!!! My daughter Haleigh, is another child, that has feel through the cracks!!! As far as fighting for her…you got $5,000.00 to retain my attorney??? And, that is just a retainer fee…any ideas for me there Briana??? OH, and I assure you I WORK!! After, paying my bills, SUPPORTING my children…I do PUT money away, I just hope by the time, I have enough, it’s not TOO LATE!! I pray for Haleigh Cummings every night, day in and day out…I don’t know what it is about her, but she has touched my heart & soul & it hurts to know that not just MISTY BUT RONALD also, have admitted that her cousin was bad news, that he had attempted to mess with Misty, BUT THEY STILL ALLOWED THAT MAN around Haleigh & Jr. You know I could go on and on with this, but I will stop here, the more I type, the more I get IRRATE!!!

As far as the van in concerned. It is Lyndsey’s van. She had loaned it to Chelsea that day . Lyndsey called Chelsea and ask her about the scratch on the van. Misty was not involved with the van that day. Lyndsey noticed the van after chelsea returned it the night after the child disappeared. Misty did not have the van that day.

Ethel…me too! I think they only accept “paid” accounts to register with because it’s easier to keep up with who is who. Free accounts can be made up by anyone, although they’re always traceable if you go back far enough and have the resources (like they do).
Wonder if Ron will actually go back to work today as planned? Misty will be chomping at the bit to hit the streets if he does! Bet old Greg’s the first one she calls. And I bet LE knows about it the second his phone rings! She might be smart enough to use a friend’s phone or a pay phone to call out on, but I betcha his is being traced. Staci, someone IS paying for the Haleighbug Foundation, the electric, the phone, etc. The PUBLIC is paying for it…and paying for everything ELSE for her as well. She doesn’t have a J.O.B. Everything she eats, the gas in her car, the hospital bills, everything is being paid for by either John Q. Public, or the State of Florida, via welfare. It’s easy to get people to paint a building purple, then pull up a lawn chair, light up a cig, and have absolutely nothing else to do all day but walk up to the car window of whatever car pulls up to donate money. How is that difficult? I was by there the other day, and that’s exactly what was going on…a few people in a couple of chairs, sitting around, laughing, talking, smoking (all of them)…there’s nothing difficult about that. In the meantime, several on here keep saying “give Jr. back to his real Mommy!” So let’s think about that…mom can’t support Jr., OR the other baby she’s already had by her step-brother…and looking at HIS record (and they reportedly live together), he’s been banned from seeing his OWN children, and a court order of protection was JUST lifted against HIM. How is that better? Judges don’t take that action very lightly, as evidenced by the fact that they gave Jr. and Haleigh to someone like Ron over Crystal. While I do feel for both Ron and Crystal in terms of how tragic it is to lose a child, I certainly feel this current situation is a direct result of the circumstances they put their own children in. If Crystal had lived near them and been involved in their lives (other than every 2 weeks), SHE could have been with her own children while Ron was at work. Then maybe we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

Can’t add – “I also did the math and if Crystal is 19, as stated on the police report, she will be 20 on August 30 of this year. If Haleigh was born on August 16, 2003 she is 5 and we will be turning 6 before Crystal turns 20. I believe that 19 – 6 = 13. Correct me if I am wrong……and I am serious, this is causing me such a headache” was my exact qoute. My math IS correct, but the DOB on the police report is wrong from what you are saying. How was I to know that? I don’t have time, like you, to get this information and that’s why I asked. No need to get hostile, but it seems as though that’s what these blogs are for. I am sorry that you took it so personally and chose to laugh at something that was just an innocent question, but obviously you have nothing better to do than judge and convict and that’s why you spend your days here. Staci – do you know Ronald and Misty personally? I am confused about the venom with which you talk about this situation. And if you don’t know them – how can you say the things that you do. You don’t know! Part of the problem with this case, is that so many people believe so many different things it is almost impossible to know what the truth really is. Go ahead and help Crystal as much as you can, because it is obvious that you believe that she is the victim in this situation. But you may also want to include Crystal in your rant. Because as much as you feel that Ronald and Misty did not protect this child – Crystal didn’t either. She is the one who said he was an abuser, and druggie – she is also the one that did not show up for court the first time, and moved 2 hours away from her children. If he was so bad, why did she leave them unprotected? You can’t have it both ways. If you are going to blast this guy for that…then where is the same venom for Crystal?

Now I get it. You are basing your entire arguement over something that happened to you and your children. As much as this situation may be similar to yours.
These people do deserve kindness until something more is proven. If Misty did something to that child – I can’t see her being successful in deceiving the police for much longer. She doesn’t seem like she is extremely intelligent. And we all know Ron was at work. Crystal was 2 hours away – so something hopefully will come to light soon and this baby will be returned to her family, healthy and whole. All we can do is keep praying for them all.

I am equally appalled by the poor sentence construction, grammar, and spelling in many comments I have seen, not just on this site. But, I feel like contrary to what some are stating, this is a very low level, poorly informed group that continues to fly off the handle when comments are made that go against their personal theories. As bad as I hated, hashing my own personal business here, I just wanted you to be aware…that a lot of parents are judged by their past! I am not at all stating I am 100% for Crystal, these children have been raised in circumstances that are NOT fair to them at all & I understand that! I don’t understand ALL of which Crystal has done, but I do believe she loves her children! We all have made mistakes & the things that were being said about Crystal reminded me so much of the mud slinging I went through! I also believe Ronald loves his kids…I was for NO ONE in the beginning BUT Teresa Neves…whew did I call that one wrong! I apologize for the negativity here, that I have said, but I have had my opinion as well as others! And, as sad as it sounds, sometimes it takes a RUDE awakening as this with little Haleigh, for some people to grow up & I pray that this has helped Crystal see her life in a different perspective! Ty Briana…I do intend to keep fighting for my little Haleigh, in every which way I can…I see her as much as possible & talk to her many times a week!! Maybe the name similarities & the situation has put my heart with Crystal…I just believe people can change & I am hoping for that iwth Crystal! AAAAAAAhhh, now THERE’S a surprise, Art! (NOT!) I was weary of believing that, because I think he knows, as the rest of us do, that Misty’s 100% going to hit the streets the very second he does go back to work, and he’s not about to let that happen! Did your sources give you a reason? Perhaps an article re: same on Tpx will help bring him out of the woodworks…what do you think?
Vicky, I agree with you on a lot of points. Crystal did no more to protect her children than Ron has. In fact, she’s got all three of her children (Chloe, plus Haleigh and Jr. when she has them) right there in the house with a man who was banned by the courts for seeing his OWN children, reportedly for abuse against them! Not to mention the fact that her sister, Sarah, with whom she spends and abundant amount of time (as evidenced by both their MySpace pages before they made them private) was arrested for assault against Ron’s other “baby mama.” I’ve looked at police records for most of the people in BOTH immediate families…and I’ve never seen such a mess! I’ve honestly never known two families who have this many convicts between them! That we know of, Ron, his sister Crytsal, Crystal Cummings, Chad Griffis, Marie Griffis, Johnny Sheffield, and reportedly a couple of Crystal Sheffields brothers ALL have records, and I’m sure I’m leaving someone out. How in the name of all that is Holy and right in this world will either of these 3 children have a fighting chance in this world? Drugs, alcohol, police records, and non-stop fighting are all they’ll ever know if something drastic doesn’t change. We all know when children are raised like that, it becomes a way of life – the only way of life they know.
As for Briana and Staci, it would be MUCH appreciated if the two of you could post on this site without all the vulgarity, insults, and name-calling, as some of us don’t appreciate having to filter through your rants to get to helpful information. Is that a lot to ask? I’m asking as nicely as possible, and would appreciate it if you’d be so kind as to tone down a bit…the same thing can be said, and received much better by those of us reading your posts, if a lot of the unnecessary is left out. Cantadd..Crystal, does have a Dr. License. Also, with the proper meds she can live life just fine. I have seizures and take meds and rarely have a siezure. It’s been 2yrs. U just have to be able to find the correct meds to take. That does not make u a bad mother.
Art,do u know why Ron did not go to work? Although, I’am not surprised. I can not imagine him leaving Misty on her own. Also, Art, I say get your own show. God knows NG has screwed up BIG TIME, with this case. U think she knows that? Thanks for all u do. Blessings to u.

All you had to do was correct me and let me know that they had the wrong date. You are such an angry, bitter person…maybe it’s from all your time “saving abused women”. Before Geraldo had the time to pack up his camera gear, LE obtained a court order of restraint and issued him a trespassing warning the minute he began revealing Ron’s background. This appears to be just as speedy as they were in “dropping” the “many” drug arrest charges against Ron. I wonder how many other people living in that community receive the royal treatment that Ron seems to get? JMO

Tracy, if you’re the mother of two teenagers, then you should become familiar with MySpace, because it has become a parent’s worst nightmare. Know what your kids are putting on MS, because you can bet every perv in town does. Regarding Crystal’s MySpace page, it was linked on one of these sites…no detective skills needed there. I’m neither an angry, hateful, or bitter person, and it shows your level of compassion that you’d sneer about anyone working with the abused.

Marie, it’s not the siezures that make her a bad mother. And FYI, she’ll not be allowed to drive for 6-9 months now, having had 3 seizures…but I’ll bet she still does, and the risk she places on others by doing so will be lost on her!

Crystal is 22 or 23 now. She dropped out of high school. 10th grade I think. Pregnant in her teens, shacking up with Ron, til she left him at 19, taking her two kids with her. With no higher education, it is hard to get a good paying job to support oneself, much less two children. Even with government support it’s nearly impossible. Forget child support, it’s rarely honored or so low, it’s an insult.
In Florida it is against the law for anyone under the age of 18 to smoke cigarettes. If one does not complete high school, you lose the privilege of having a driver’s license until the age of 18.

No, Staci…some of us were just taught “finicky etiquette” and “how to use large words” growing up. Doesn’t mean we want to be President, just means we rather like speaking where people can understand what we write, and acting as though we were raised with manners and class. It has been a few days since I posted. Staci – I am sorry that has happened to you and your family. You are absolutely RIGHT that people can change and everyone should be given a chance. I know that I am not the same person I was when I was 20 years old (I am a bit older now
) In retrospect, I don’t think that I even liked that person very much.
You are right that Crystal can use this as an opportunity to change her life. So can Ronald for that matter. All that really matters is that baby being returned to people that love her. Let’s all keep praying for her, and I am about to be vulgar – so everyone look out! What the HELL is happening in this world right now??? All HELL is breaking loose! It still doesn’t mean that I do not believe Ronald though – CantAdd – I agree with you regarding these children’s lives and how they are being parented. But not everyone that comes from bad homes become bad people. Sometimes children see things and decide “that is not how they are going to live”! And that comes from personal experience. So let’s just keep praying that change comes to their parents and that they are successful in life.
I will also add you and your family to my prayer list, Staci. I really hope that things work out in your fight for your daughter. Because you are right – not everything that the courts do is necessarily right.

Yes I saw her web site… in fact I linked to it, I wish she had a comment spot there but alas none. Yes I knew that she not only was donating to find children but also her lliving expenses, I thought I saw her birthday and her year and I also saw the clip with her telling us how old she was, the year that haleigh was born as well as the year that JR was born, plus not to mention when I why she left Ron. She was on TV talking about the abuse that Ron did to her when she was pregnant as well with Haleigh. She also said she was scared of Ron, and he wouldn’t let her drive. She took care of the children and he didn’t want anything to do with them, while she was with him. It’s when she left that upon his visit took the kids and then he rushed to get custody of them. He also said he prefered younger woman and he admitted to that as well. She also gave the age to NG when she finally got her license it was… 20 years old. No matter what age she or Ron was or is… Haleigh is our prime concern and I think rather than all us get defensive or slinging mud at Ron, Misty, Crystal (what a threesome, maybe they should shack all up together lol j/k). We should wait to see who the bad ones are and the courts decide where JR and Haleigh belongs!! Maybe all this mess and it would be nice if… Crystal and Ron get back together for their kids sake, who knows perhaps that is why this all happened!! I guess I better check all the facts out and piece my own conclusion, and keep it to myself lol I think I am going to write down the pros and cons from each side and see who is the better person, however I still think that the kids should be with the mother unless legally proven otherwise and visa versa. After Crystal got a web site I heard that Ron got one as well!! I am going to Google it lol Custody should be fair like joint maybe to me that would be so much better for the children’s well being etc… lol

I’m going to have to disagree with your post #218, Sharilyn. As much as I disrespect his behavior, there was no rushing to take custody of his kids after his visitation, and I don’t say that based on my opinions, but based solely on the court proceeding transcript posted here of the custody hearings (all 54 pages of them). I recommend reading them, as long as they are. It was August when he took the kids for a visit, and the last week of December when they went before the judge. During that time, Crystal didn’t call him for 5 weeks, which she grudgingly admitted to the judge. Most of the 1 hour or so of that proceeding, Crystal barely sounded coherent, to the point that the judge repeatedly had to ask her not to shurg her shoulders or nod her answers, as the transcriptionist couldn’t see her nod, nor shrug her shoulders. Further, her mom kept interjecting thru the whole hearing, even with the judge repeatedly asking her to let Crystal testify, not her. Finally, after the judge made his ruling, he asked if they wished to appeal, and they both said no. Then he says “I’ll give you 10 days to change your mind – let’s reconvene here then.” She no-showed, and didn’t appeal within the 10 days. Then weeks later she had an attorney try to appeal. There was no rushing this process…it’s all in the transcript. No guesswork…all facts.

Sharilyn, if that’s the case, then why did she no-show so many of her court appearances, doctors appointments for the kids, etc.? Why didn’t she call the court, as the judge said she could, and advise them that she’d like to appeal his decision? Why didn’t she get a cab? Take a bus? Get a friend of family member to take her? If it’s important enough to you, you’ll find a way…she had 2 weeks to work that out. Why didn’t her mother take her, as her mother was so involved in this hearing that the judge had to repeatedly ask her to hush? Most importantly, why did she tell the judge that she missed most of these appointments and court appearances because “she just didn’t feel like getting up out of bed?” Doesn’t hold water. And most importantly, if Ron were truly threatening her, then a court of law would most definitely be the place to bring that up! The two in my home invasion both said they’d kill me if I showed up to court – one even used his one phone call from jail to call my house and reiterate that point. I showed up to each and every trial and parole hearing. If you can’t take a stand for yourself, or those you love, you can’t expect anyone else to either. Happy Easter!

#227 and #231 Spunky, I agree with everything you said about Crystal. Apparently, the judge agreed with us also that she was not fit to raise these children. There is no excuse that she didn’t get to the court hearings and the Drs’ appointments. Surely, she could have gotten someone to bring her or at least had enough money to get on a bus. Most welfare offices give out free bus tokens. I bet her ADC caseworker would have insisted that she got where she was supposed to be when her children were involved. Sometimes they even drive people where they need to go. I got very bad vibes when seeing her on NG. Her mom looked like to me that she could fight Mike Tyson and win, and with her running a crack house, Crystal was probably introduced to drugs long before Ron came there for his drugs. In my judgment, no judge should ever give her a second chance (to endanger these kids further what with her stepbrother/lover).
I don’t think Ron and Misty deserve to have the kids either. I have worked for psychiatrists and psychologists. The recovery rate for drug addicts is very slim. It used to be 2%. IMO, though Amber and Crystal both seem to hate Ron and report a lot of abuse, I think they are both jealous now that he MARRIED Misty. What Ron has to get all these women mystifies me.(DRUGS?) IMO, he was very foolish to get married to Misty (probably because of possible statutory rape charges). His actions showed much anger about the marriage.
I do not like the fact that both families back to the greatgrandparents, almost everyone in the family has criminal records and many drug charges. I don’t like that Crystal is driving when she has epilesy as she doesn’t know enough about it to realize how dangerous that can be. She could kill her children or many others. She isn’t eating or is dehydrated which can encourage seizuresl. She should know that in order to avoid seizures, even if she is taking her meds, it can happen. When epileptics are going to have a seizure, most of them have an aura before that so they know to stop what they are doing and lie down. She could kill her innocent baby and many other people. She looked stoned or wasted to me on NG. She. conviently has all these medical problems just when some important place where she should be comes up, usually concerning the children. It took her 5 hours to get to Satsuma when Haleigh vanished.
At first, I was impressed with Teresa as she seemed much more intelligent than the other family members and surely would have to have AT LEAST a high school diploma to work as a police dispatcher. I know that Teresa is enabling Ron , especially since she stated that Misty is the BEST GF HE HAS EVER HAD!! Perhaps, Ron has been horribly abused by a family member and that is why Teresa is so protective of him. I am no longer a Teresa fan but she does appear to be grieving. I suspect she has done a lot of babysitting these children, therefore, is much closer to them than a lot of grandmas.I don’t like the situation with Ron and Misty at all. I can see why the Baptist Church did not want to marry them. believe that these adorable children deserve a chance to be adopted by some other loving family, perhaps in a far away state who are not drug-infested, who really want children and will care for them properly. These beautiful children deserve a chance in life and it’s not going to happen if they are placed with either of these parents.

Jenna: So epileptics shouldnt have their children? My son is epileptic and has his son and he drives. While it is true that he gets an aura, it is not always the case. He takes his meds, but often they have to be adjusted. Chrystal looks drugged perhaps because she is tired and worried? Lack of sleep? Chrystal made mistakes, but I believe she has changed and she is being honest. Ron , on the other hand is a jerk and drug user from what I see, and perhaps a murderer.

Gayle #233 I don’t know the answer to your question = SHOULD YOUR EPILEPTIC SON HAVE HIS CHILD? It would depend upon the circumstances. If he has a wife who can look over the situation, it would be all right. For example: Our nextdoor neighbor has a grown epileptic son. He is not allowed to drive. He does everything right with meds and taking good care of himself but he still has several seizures a year. My thinking is if he was a single father, was out driving and went into one of his seizures which last a very long time and he is so exhausted afterwards, he would unlikely be able to get home – all he can do after is lie down and sleep – a toddler could get into a lot of dangerous situations with this father. Luckily, he has no children. Hopefully, your son has a much lighter case and I wish you good luck.

Gayle, for me, the seizures and driving with no license aren’t the deal breakers. For me, the deal breaker is that if she were to gain custody of the kids, she’ll be taking from the (violent) frying pan straight into the (violent) fire…from one home with a violent man to another. That’s the MOST important reason I would be very hesitant to give Crystal custody. Add that to the fact that she told a judge she missed so many court hearings and doc appointmenmts for the kids because, and I quote what she told the judge, she “just didn’t feel like getting up out of bed.” Mothers have to do that, whether they want to or not. Just like they have to work to provide for their families.

Gayle, the reality is, most people with seizure disorders aren’t allowed to drive, whether we agree with that or not. I personally don’t think anyone prone to seizures should be behind the wheel of a car, for their safety AND ours.

Jenna: Unless your epileptic, or lived with one, maybe you wouldnt know that everyone is different. My son has been seizure free for 4 years, accept for some staring seizures which is totally different. BEing epileptic does not mean you cant drive. Adjustments in medication is usually enough. So 4 years and no seizures. Should he never drive? Never have his child? Why not quit living? My son has grand mal seizures. But again, he gets an aura before hand. So everyone is different. To show how uneducated people are, his kindergarten teacher ask if he should be “in a special ed school” since he was epileptic. It’s crazy. He made straight A’s. So Chrystal having epilepsy, doesnt mean she cant raise her child.

Crystal Sheffield has been proven a liar. Her mom marie griffis lies also. It seems to me from the court records it maybe is Marie Griffis that really wants custody and not Crystal Sheffield. Crystal is clearly a drug addict. She was on drugs when Haleigh went missing. Maybe she is getting of the drugs and that is why she is having seizures.
In any case she should not drive if she has seizures. If Ron was such a bad dad and haleigh was in such danger why did crystal not do something before haleigh went missing? Why did she live so far away? Everyone seems to be giving Haleighbug money. They seem to believe it goes to search for Haleigh. It goes to Crystal and I wonder who is keeping track of this money? Much of it is cash. Now she is bitching that Cobra is getting donations, or her fans are.
Cobra needs to look close at Marie Griffis and others in that side of the family.
