This is a press release from Ronald Cummings attorneys blasting back at Haleigh Cummings bio-Mom, Crystal Sheffield, for accusing her father of child abuse.
Those charges were based on Sheffield’s undated, non-time stamped photos purporting to show injuries the child suffered AFTER falling off monkey bars at school last fall.
The photos we have here, say Cummings new attorneys, show the original injury and how it progressed normally with swelling and bruising.

RONALD CUMMINGS’ RESPONSE
Allegation I: Injuries to Haleigh Cummings as Depicted in Certain Undated Photos provided by the biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, to the media
All photos provided by Ronald Cummings are date and time stamped. Medical and school records will be available on FindHaleighNow.com, a website now under construction which should be online no later than April 2, 2008.
Timeline:
It is evident to all that Haleigh Cummings was injured at her elementary school, (Browning-Pearce) on November 6, 2008. The school records document a nose cut at 1:50 p.m. A photo taken the previous day (Exhibit A) shows Haleigh without injury.
Haleigh Cummings was taken to the ER at FlaglerHospital in St. Augustine at 4:31 p.m. on November 6, 2008 by Teresa Neves, Ronald’s mother, since Ronald had to report to work.
The hospital records document a laceration to the nose, and facial contusions, and it was noted upon physical examination that Haleigh was suffering from swelling and superficial abrasions, a more serious injury than described by the school report. It is important to note that emergency room physicians and staff are extensively trained in recognizing, treating and reporting child abuse and it is clear there were no such concerns.
In the interim, during the afternoon of November 6, 2008, at 3:38 p.m., approximately 1 ½ hours after the injury, two photos taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit B) accurately depict Haleigh’s injuries. The injuries were also observed by Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin (now Cummings) on November 6, 2008, and on November 7, 2008 by Annette Sykes, Ronald’s grandmother.
On November 7, 2008, three (3) photos were taken at 10:17 a.m. (Exhibit C) by Teresa Neves, which depict worsening discoloration and swelling.
On November 9, 2008, three (3) more photos were taken of Haleigh (Exhibit D) which show the natural progression and continuation of her response to the injury.
On November 12, 2008, Haleigh was suffering from stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting.
She was taken by Teresa Neves to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine where she was treated, and because of the facial trauma that occurred on November 6, 2008, a CT of the head and nose was performed as a precaution. Both tests were negative for any abnormalities. She was provided medication, and released.
On November 14, 2008, two (2) photos of Haleigh were taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit E) showing that all swelling had subsided, with no visible lacerations or bruises.
The undated photos in the possession of the biological mother are consistent with the photos depicted in the timeline provided herein.
The biological mother’s assertion the injuries depicted exist due to abuse by Ronald Cummings is false and unsubstantiated, made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information.
The result has been the slander and libel of Ronald Cummings.
Allegation II Injuries to Ronald Cummings, Jr. on the Leg
Ronald Cummings is without knowledge of this injury. The photo submitted by the biological mother in no way indicates how the scratch occurred, and it is certainly consistent with a bicycle or playground accident, and seems plainly inconsistent with an intentional injury.
Credibility of Biological Mother
In addition to the false allegations regarding the photos of Haleigh Cummings, referenced in Allegation I in this release, additional serious credibility problems exist relating to the biological mother.
The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, previously made false accusations about alleged violence by Ronald Cummings in an injunction proceeding in Baker County, Florida. Ronald Cummings had legal counsel who obtained a dismissal by the presiding judge in open court because of the lack of credibility of the mother.
The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, also knowingly made a false police report about a vehicle which she claimed was stolen. This was widely reported by national media and occurred in Putnam County, Florida.
In conclusion, the timeline and photos leave no doubt as to the cause, nature, and severity of the injuries to Haleigh regarding the events of November 2008.
As mentioned earlier, these accusations were made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information. Instead, Crystal Sheffield and her attorney sensationalized the allegations when they appeared on various TV shows.
Most importantly, the focus has been taken off the search for Haleigh by this tawdry and inexcusable publicity stunt.

I feel so bad for the real mom…the way that people just dismiss her claims so quickly. This still looks like more that just a playground accident to me. Someone needs to find the teacher and talk to her about the playground accident. I have always loved to watch nancy grace, and love the way she trys her best to get justice for the victims…but I feel that she chose sides too early in this. And as for the paternal grandmother, I feel bad for her to after that last story. I don’t think she tried to pull one over on that man. I think that ALL of these family members are missing their child and everyone should just let them be…and if there needs to be court proceedings to find out who should have the brother, then let them do that in peace. All anybody else needs to do is keep and eye out for the little girl and a prayer in our hearts for her and her family. I’m praying for all involved.

It seems obvious that Ronald Cummings, Jr. and Haleigh, when found, should be completely removed from the residence of both Ronald Cummings, Sr. and Crystal Sheffield until both parents have been thoroughly checked out by DFS. This would include testing of hair, blood and urine to be sure there are no drug use by either parent. (This would include both Misty and Crystal’s fiance’.) I would recommend that all adults who will be responsible for the health and well-being of these children should also have to attend parenting classes.
My prayer is that these innocent children are not allowed to slip through the cracks.
I am sure there are some groups that would willingly donate beds and other neccessities so that the children could have their own beds instead of sleeping on the floor. The Salvation Army, Church Groups, and concerned citizens are available and happy to help people who are in need of the
basic conveniences that make life a little more confortable.
Sometimes pride has to be put on the back burner when it comes to the needs of children.
Observations over the past month have focused on the welfare of both little Ronald, Jr. and Haleigh. I am not in a position to decide which parent should have custody, or shared custody. However, seeing their living conditions it does make one aware that closer observation is needed by professionals who are able to make sensible assessments for the good of the children.

Why would Haleigh say that JR’s brusing or marks were caused by using a stick and he even said that he did!! To me someone is lying here!! I can’t see a child lie about something like that. As an abused child like myself, I was raised not to lie, it made my Mom and Dad mad, that I wouldn’t keep my mouth shut about these things, they were afraid that Social Services not only would take me away but the rest of my siblings too!! If I was the parent to these kids, I would make sure that who I left them with was responsible. I had an incident happen to me, we had a live in guy babysit, he not only walked in on Hubby and I showering (dirty old man), he met a gal at the bar. After I went to work on the afternoon shift, I received a call from my husband saying that my daughter was all alone in the house by herself for approximately 4 or 5 hours alone, screaming in her crib. We found out later that the pair of them were on a motorcycle, they had taken off, locking the house up when they did. We had them arrested and after that we changed the locks. I even a a nut case babysit and he tried to molest my daughter while we were gone. I found out later about that from my daughter. So therefore he stated about keeping his enemies close (Misty), I feel that he should have thought twice about intrusting her with the care of his kids, that is if he intented to keep them. A fit parent would not for one go after 16 year olds, but one try to make it right with his ex or seek out a woman of his own age. Ron see what happens when you don’t have a responsible person look after your kids?? Now you have a missing child and I pray that she is alive. I always thought that the children go to the Mother 1st (whether she has a job or not, that shouldn’t matter), unless she is proven unfit (which could be: a druggie, abusive, drunk, it should not be based on whether she has a car or not, there are such things a taxicabs, buses, etc to get to places. Using your Mom’s connections to get custody I feel is dirty pool, uncooth and under handed. You should have gone for split custody.. to me that would have be a smarter move. I still feel when Haleigh comes home, that she should go to the Mother, and maybe in the courts go for joint custody. With that said.. our main focus is Let’s Get Haleigh Home Safe and Sound! She’s our #1 concerns now not this he/she said and wasn’t it you who married quickly (you even admitted that Misty was the link on what happened to Haleigh, not to mention keeping your enemy close (Misty)), you don’t see Chrystal doing that. I am praying for Haleigh that she is alive somewhere to come home safe!! (((((Haleigh))))) Love ya sweetie!! *MUAH* The truth will all come out, and children are a gift and a blessing!!

Forgot to say, when I adopted my daughter, her Mom was a drunk and she would take off, so her parents agreed for us to adopt her. She is actually my cousin and I never stopped her from know who her parents were, I never lied to her, my Mom wanted me too but I refused too!
I also never got upset if she was in contact with them, I never introferred either.

At least he had pictures taken daily of the progress on Haleigh’s face. The playground incident was believable because the injury was to the face only. Now Ronald needs to dispute and prove that the deep bruise on juniors leg was not due to hitting with a stick. I was more concerned about that injury because the bruise is deep and there are welts around the bruise.
There are far more unanswered questions in this case than answered. “I don’t know” gets old after awhile. If my g/f was the last person who was with my daughter, I would be asking her a lot of questions instead of saying “I don’t know, I was at work”. The truth is going to come out, maybe not today, but it will come out.

Well now, seems Ron’s Lawyer forgot , from my memory, that Ron ADMITTED he whipped Jr and put those stripes on him because he was a “Strong” disiplinary. As for Chrystal lying? She was young, and that does not cover the fact we have heard Ron say Twice that he would use a gun on someone. Nice try though. Chrystal had every right to get an answer to that injury . Had Ron been co-operative before, she would have had that information. Ron looks like a real sleeeeeeeeeeeeeze ball. I hope chrystal wins.

Ronalds attorneys state according to nov 14, photos taken by Theresa Neves there is no; no visible lacerations or bruising. There are still lacerations and discolored bruising from the corner of her eye and underneath her eye. In comparing the photo taken by Connie Sheffield you can see some bruising above the eyelid and from the smile line there looks to be a fresher bruise from the smile line almost to the discolored bruising underneath the eye.You can see in comparing photos that the bruise beside the eye near temple is gone. The laceration on chin area had started getting smaller, but the laceration on the nose appears to be the same size as when incident occured. It appears to me the photo Crystal presented looks worse than the photos presented by Theresa Neves on the 14th.
I do not feel these allegations take any focus on looking for Haliegh. There are those out there probing for tips and still trying to find her or find what happened to this beautiful little angel. If anything Ronald took focus off his daughters disappearance. He marries the teenie bopper who last saw her. He says he married her , because he thinks she knows where Haliegh is. This excuse is BS. You tell the officials and let them take care of her.Better yet!! how could you marry someone that you feel did something to your daughter!!!! Better parent my behind. He says he knows she was messing around but he loves her. Then you have his enabling mother who leads Cobra and Art to the woods and high tales it out of there, but not before wanting to find out how many leads he has( very suspicious). To all the Cummings and Neves family this is no time for games. This is no laughing matter. It is time to tell the truth!!!! WHERE OR WHAT HAPPENED TO HALIEGH!! I feel very outraged , but at the same time my heart is breaking. Casey Anthony was arrested for lying to detectives and wild goose chases. Why not these people?

For as I know, Misty doesn’t have a lawyer. I still feel that abuse was going on in that home but that is just my opinion. I think Jr. needs to be taken out of that home. If Misty is lying and wasn’t at home the night Haliegh went missing then she needs to tell the truth. She could face charges of obstruction of justice if LE deems that she wasn’t at home that night and is lying.

What is going on in this town? Can’t tell us the results are not back on the polygraphs for anyone to be cleared. Shouldn’t the fingerprints be back also? All the drug charges and no convictions but yet, gets custody of both children. On one case, we hear all the information. This case we are getting nothing out of law enforcement. Why? That was also the quickest cleaning of a dumpster I have ever seen. That should have taken them a couple of days to go through that whole dumpster and bag, piece by piece. Why not bring all the dogs back after everything was out? After all, all 4 dogs picked up on the dumpster.

Take another look at the pic’s, Haleigh’s black eye is very visable in the 7th & 8th pic. The pic’s show the original injury and how it progressed normally with swelling and bruising. This was a playground injury and the school has the documented to proove so.
Ron loves his daughter just as much as Chrystal does. All the pics with Ron and Haleigh show a happy child being with her loving father.When Haleigh first went missing I saw Ron a broken man with tears streaming down his face and then I saw Chrystal who looked sad but never once did I see her shed a tear. No real mother would ever seperate herself from her children……love just doesn’t permit it to happen.

My question and or response to this is as follows: Why did Teresa Neves take all of the photos…maybe she was concerned that Haleigh was being abused, by her son or Misty C. Cummings! And work…each time Haleigh was taken to the ER, it was his mother taking her! Ok so, I understand someone has to make the money….Crystal was spending her time…smoking cigs and undoubtly from reports sleeping around on Ronald, while he was at work!! That is not my allegation, just what has been stated in reports! Teresa Neves, from the beginning, seemed truly hurt and concern over Haleigh’s disapperance & the report to Cobra…MAYBE…she is overwelmed with guilt! Maybe…MAYBE, and this is just my opinion…not a JUDGEMENT….she is torn between obligation to her son as to Haleigh also! Maybe, she contacted Cobra, because there was something she wanted to share in confidentally & got cold feet that day in the woods!! JMO Either way…Crystal has raised questions the are justifiable to me!! Also, Ronald’s attorney, must FORGET that Ronald himself has stated in interviews with DCF, that he did hit Jr. with a switch & DCF stated that they found it unfounded due to that he discliplined him in a normal manner!!! Soooo if his attorneys would, EXPLAIN that!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO why is it, Teresa Neves found it necessary to take these photos of Haleigh??? Was it curiousity also on her part, as it was of Crystal Sheffield, that MAYBE the child was being abused ????

The pictures of Haleigh look wrose then just a fall at the playground.Haleigh has bruises all over her face not just in one area on the other side of her face on her chin.The ones on her chin kinda look like a rug burn or something.Haleigh had more serious injurys and thats why she was taken to the ER,Why would she have more injurys if she just fall on the playground?.This to me looks alot worse and i believe it’s child abuse.
I feel so bad for Crystal that no one wants to help her.Everyone is on Rons side no one thinks this is child abuse.If this was anyone elses kids everyone who is on Rons side would do the same thing Crystal is doing (at least I would hope you would ).
It’s obvious that the school wasn’t doing their job.They didn’t say anything write anything about Haleighs face full of bruises when she went to school the next day or any day after this?.If you look at Haleighs school records she missed alot of school.Ron gets away with everything because his mom works for LE and the courts.If this was anyone else with a mile long drug and criminal record they would be in peison and WOULD NOT get cousdy of their children.

ART DID ANYONE EVER FIND OUT WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON WITH TERESA NEVES LEAVING COBRA IN THE WOODS?AS FOR THESE PHOTOS I AGREE WITH #11 WHERES THE ONE WITH THE BLACK EYE?THE BEATING WITH THE STICK WAS’NT ADDRESSED EITHER.WHY? SOUNDS LIKE GUILT TO ME. Looking at the first two pics, the ones that she’s wearing a white tee shirt, you can see where she hit the bar from the tip of her nose down to her chin. In the second set of pics, three of them, where it looks like she is not wearing a top, two of those are the same photo. It does look like there is some bruising and swelling to the bridge of the nose and her left eye. In the last photo, her in the red shirt, thats duplicated, definatly shows bruising to the bridge of her nose and a blackened eye. This is the first time i have seen someone get a black eye from an injury to the tip of the nose. That is usually consistant with an injury to the bridge of the nose, and usually in that case both eyes are affected somewhat. Haleighs black eye and nose bruising looks like it came from a back hand to the eye. How convienient that another injury occurs to the face when the monkey bar incident has just been documented. It has been said that haleigh did not return to school for a while after this happened, since it was not a life or death situation i would have sent her back to school right away so that there would have been more witnesses to the progression of the injury, and also to remind the school personal that THEY failed to keep my child safe from injury.

— Ronald and Misty attempt a quick fix. —
Grandma’s back yard makes a great back-up for a drive thru chapel. “I do’s” are replaced by “Git’er done”.
Now a receipt (certificate) qualifies for change of status. This allows a paperwork change with DCF on Ronald’s behalf. There is no longer a single parent person with 3 minors. We now have 2 parent people with 2 minors. Looks better for custody! Wow, all this for less than it costs to gas up the shiny truck.

It would have been irresponsible for Crystal NOT to have reported the injuries to DCF. If it were to be determined that the injuries were in fact the result of abuse, Crystal herself could have been facing charges.
As for Crystal’s “alleged” false report of a stolen vehicle, someone close to her may have “borrowed” the vehicle without her knowledge and upon finding out what had happened she dropped the charges which left her in the position of being accused of filing a false report. (This is not an unusual happening. My next door neighbor thought her car was stolen only to find out that her husband had allowed their son to “borrow” the car to go look for a job.)
As for the abuse allegations Crystal charged against Ron, as a victim of domestic violence myself I can say that sometimes it is “SAFER” to drop charges than it is to pursue them. Luckily for me I am away from the abuse and abuser in my own life but it happened and sad to say it happens every single day for others.
Enough of this….WHERE IS LITTLE HALEIGH??????????

I agree with your comments, I don’t know who should have the children. Perhaps until both sets of parents have completed parenting classes and counseling sessions the children would be better off living with someone else. Ron, IMO, needs some anger management therapy and Crystal would benefit from a victims survivor or abused women’s program. Again, just my opinions…
Oh, Haleigh and Jr. do have beds (not just a mattress on the floor). In Nancy Grace’s tour of the trailer-house they did show Haleigh and Jr.’s rooms and they were nice. I think Ron and Misty said they just put the mattress in there because Haleigh and Jr. wanted to be closer to them.

And…. What could be taking so long for LE to figure this out. Something is amiss in Satsuma, Florida. Please get this case resolved and bring that baby home. It has been too long and the focus shifts too far from Haleigh most days… jmo. Get the FBI in there if local LE cannot handle it! Seems they have already botched it in some area’s. Get it in gear Satsuma Law Enforcement, and to the people that live in the area, please, if you know something please come forward for Haleigh! Don’t be afraid of Ron, he is a punk! Hopefully Cobra can solve this case SOON!!

And one more thing…. What is the story about Ron leaving Haleigh and Jr. sleeping in the car while he worked the grave yard shift? If true must have been before Misty was around. Does anyone know if this is true, and if Ron punched out early or left and came back to work the night Haleigh disappeared? I read somewhere he was hanging at Taco Bell before going home? Thanks.

OMG, Art, you are on the trash the Crystal Sheffield wagon now? Shame on you. If there was nothing to Haleigh’s injuries why did NEVES see fit to take pictures of her daily after the injury if it was just a playground accident? Candace the cousin said Ronald backhanded Haleigh on her font porch! There are witness’s to this abuse. People are coming out of the woodwork to report Ronald’s abuse of his children. The whole town is afraid of him and rightly so. LE doesn’t appear to make any charges against him that ever stick. Something very fishy going on there.
You should do a little homework. Crystal Sheffields restraining order in Baker County was denied because of lack of evidence, not lack of credibility. Lastly, Haleigh was napped or what ever, on the 9th, not the 10th.

I’ll confirm Gayle’s memory that Cummings said on tape he used a switch on that tiny boy and that he’s a strict disiplinarian. Ick, just ick! In his first extremely odd performance the morning after she went missing, he refers to her as a very well mannered little girl. Why? Because he smacks her whenever she isn’t? Because he thinks people won’t look as hard if she’s a brat? He himself has no manners!
People far more articulate than these two have staged emergency calls and scenes, but they always caught out.
In a truthful call the only thing on the caller’s mind is the child is missing and someone’s taken her. Croslyn’s mind is focused on a brick, because that’s her alibi.
Cummings says he’s not afraid to go to prison 3 times! Why?
Why is he thinking about prison at that moment? He says he’s going to kill someone twice, but he’s not out in the yard with his gun and a flashlight, is he?
After all, these people are not supposed to know when the abduction took place. It could have happened just 25 minutes ago and child could be no more than 50 yards away in the dark with a stranger doing who-knows-what to her?
Final note, (sorry for length!) The words Haleigh and Junior use are ‘children’s’ language, not ‘adult’ language.
Daddy hit him with a stick, sqeaky shoes, bouncing couch. Cummings should be out there with a posse looking for this guy. But he didn’t search for his daughter. He stayed in a tent feeling sorry for himself until he got married.
That cell phone call he didn’t look at during his first public plea haunts me. It could have been police or a friend, (We’ve found her!)
The people are as phony as a 3 dollar bill and the case is bizarre.
Although that’s the worst playground injury I’ve ever seen, looks as though the poor thing hit her nose on the bar and then landed face first on the ground, there still should have been scrapes on her hands, etc.
If Sheffield’s lawyer jumped the gun with the pic, so what?Either she has credible abuse witnesses or not, it’ll all come out.
Meanwhile, whether Junior’s memory is correct or not, the Greg person needs to be searched for.

My cousin who flew those great, big ‘copters’ and missions in Vietnam…blew his brains out last month.
He was one of the few, one of the brave, one among a few.
He marched into hell for a good cause and mother nature reared up…and seems he got diagnosed with some disease that’s affiliated with MS…and then he had a heart attack.
And I wonder what part, ‘the Economy’ and ‘our Economy’ and our ‘Good Government’ had to play in all this.
He retired from the Air Force I believe after being a loyal servant of more than 35 years under contract.
Of course his last name was Smith, probably pretty hard to trace.
Meanwhile what makes people so blind or oblivious to the obvious?
And Justice just lags behind on talk shows and web sits such as this…

No one knows exactly what time Haleigh was “napped.” Only that Monday, the 9th was her last day of school, that she went home after, and was discovered and reported missing in the wee hours of Tues., Feb. 10. At least from police reports I recall.

LE has been working hard, but in these parts, tough to find willing witnesses among drug dealers, crack houses and meth labs. Not like you’d march some genteel court reporter into a den of sex, drugs and rock and roll and request an official statement, as some outsiders seem to think possible. Come on, this is Deliverence country, and cops know how hard it is to win friends and informants, which explains why they’re open to hearing and following up on any leads a West Virginia country boy like Cobra might turn up…

Someone mentioned seeing Haleigh’s school records on here and that Haleigh was tardy on Monday, February 9. How can this be possible if she was riding the bus? If the bus was late, there would have been an announcement on the school’s intercom advising this and asking that those students not receive a Tardy mark.
Has anyone heard that Ron or Misty drove Haleigh to school that morning?

I would have the police monitor this site for possible relatives who may be posting something that could jeopardize Haleigh’s safety.
Art, I have noticed comments that appear to have CLUES hidden in the posts. I’m not an expert, however, keep the comments pouring in. A family member may just comment on something that will provide more details than in the initial investigation or interogation on both sides. Who knows, maybe your site will be the one that solves the abduction of Haleigh Anne Marie Cummings.

A hard blow to the forehead and nose CAN CAUSE EYES TO TURN BLUE like this. About a month ago, my mother fell in a parking lot face first and I was shocked a day or so later how her eyes turned blue/black. SO EVERYBODY THAT THINKS THE MONEY BARS FALL WOULD NOT CAUSE SUCH, YOU NEED TO RETHINK! Also, I have net to see a tear come from Crystal (the mother); that pretending to sob reminded me immediately of Susan Smith and her fake tears. A question I have is why did she leave these children with Ron if she felt he abused them? I know the judge ruled in his favor but I would have at least lived near them and called the cops on a VERY regular basis. No, she moved off. I hope the judge didn’t make a grave mistake in awarding Ron the children but so far, I don’t see it that way. Bottom Line…in most cases….a mother of a child/ren that doesn’t get custody is usually a worthless trash bag. Everybody knows that the mother always wins custody of a child fit or unfit, except on rare occasions. Very rarely does a father win custody. That speaks volumns to me about the mama’s character.

I agree with everyone who wonders WHY Teresa Neves was taking pictures every day of Haleighs bruises, no one does that, even she knew or knows her own son is an abuser. Also the police have just dropped the trash bin deal. 3 cadaver dogs hit there, something is going on and either they are keeping quite or they are inept. I hope it’s the former.

I have never for one minute bought any of the stories any of these people put out. Misty knows what happened to Haleigh and I think Ron does to now. What paretns would not be in front of every camera they could find putting their childs face on it. Pleading for someone to see here and call. Instead he gets married and they clam up. No interview, no pleading and no pictures of Haleigh. On the NG interview with Rom and his mother. Teresa said repairman and her mother were in the home that day. Oh and the cousin, then Ron pops off and says not the cousin! Sombody need to take his smart _ss out behind the wood shed and show him a thing or two. They know what happend! They are guilty! People don’t hide when they have nothing to hide.

What is unfortunate is that Crystal choice to go down his road in the first place…especially on such a public level. Evidently Crystal was not aware these photos existed, however if in private she addressed the issue & her concerns directly with the Cummings family none of this would be transpiring in the first place. I am not sure who is guiding Crystal down this road but it is not healthy, productive, or relevant to the actual issue that exists right now. That issue is Haleigh is missing; addressing concerns privately once she is found would be better for all involved. The Cummings and extended family have every right same as you or I to defend one self against slanderous accusations, it is everyone’s right no matter what other issues are on the table at the time. Because these people have the tragedy of Haleigh missing does not mean they have to accept abuse in regards to any other issues, nor does it mean they do not care about the tragedy of Haleigh missing when they defend their selves against false accusations. All other issues “Marriage, etc”are not relevant to this issue…”accusation of abuse”. Any & all private aspects of the family’s lives are not a permission ticket to carry out abuse on them “False and Slanderous accusations”
Ronald’s mother had every right to check out the premises with the Hogs. Over & Over again is not to many times. Should the lead be innocent the owner will likely open his place over & over again in effort to ease minds and help in finding Haleigh.
Ronald’s mother has conducted herself with absolute dignity through out this horrific ordeal. She works and provides for her self and is an active part of her grandchildren’s lives, she poses no wrong on anyone. Slicing her apart is cruel & certainly won’t resolve the actual issue; “finding Haleigh”.
I hope Crystal will revisit the qualifications of her lawyer and seriously reevaluate this method being used to address her concerns.

This ain’t about no drug lord, or rock ‘n roll, or nothin’ bigger than some obvious bully.
A full grown man child that more than likely never learned how to deal with his guilt, or anger.
But then what to do once justice is served…just through him in jail, or prison for the rest of his life along with all the rest.
And what does that accomplish?
Just more tax dollars going to waste on the aftermath…or after mothers or a drug war that our government seems to be reinforcing every day with tobacco and alcohol and firearms, not to mention shrinks and all kinds of prescriptions from pain killers to sleeping pills to antidepressants….
No one seems to be concerned with the ‘root’ or the ’cause.’
Meanwhile what about that territory in California growing weed, and what about those recreational placed across the border in Canada…or across the ocean in that ‘red light’ district…Amsterdam…

It does make you wonder why they took all of the pictures. It could be that they were or are planning on suing the school district or something. $$$$ Ronald has not hesitated on spending money like crazy….Beer, cigarettes, fairs, etc. There is also the $400 on the that gaudy tattoo. I hope it looks better today than it did after he had it done. Casey Anthony got a tattoo too after Caylee was “gone” It was “Bella Vita” which means beautiful life. She went out partying and went to bars looking for Caylee. I guess Ronald is just doing about the same thing, just different places. Losing pets affect me more than what I have seen here of their children!

I am completely furious the way that Ron and his Lawyers are agressively attacking the statements made by Junior aka Butterbean. Both Ron and his attorneys are blatantly claiming that little Butterbean’s statements are false. Claiming that boys statements are false is the same as calling him a bold faced liar and on National TV???
For a Father who doesn’t know where his Daughter is or what exactly happened to her he sure discounted his own flesh and blood son right from the get go.
I sure hope little Butterbean has an attorney of his own at this point!!!

Both Misty and Ronald have denied that he referred to her as his “Dumb bitch girlfriend.” Well, it’s documented in this report!
Plus, Misty tells the police officer that both the children were in bed WITH HER when she went to sleep at 10pm and woke up JUST BEFORE 3am to get WATER!!!! I have heard her say repeatedly when asked what time she woke up, she always says 3am and she didn’t know the exact time but remembers seeing a 3 on the clock! Misty has this script down pat now.
One last thing Ronald told the police officer that he had a 9mm Baretta which he OWNED inside of his residence?!?! I thought criminals were not allowed to have guns? LEGALLY of course!

Does this van belongs to Chelsey Croslin or Misty Croslin? Chelsey is Misty Croslin’s sister! The van was in Misty Croslin’s possession the night 5 year old Haleigh Cummings disappeared. Misty does NOT even have a driver’s license!?!? How could she possibly OWN a van. She shouldn’t even be driving it!!!
CBS47 says the van belongs to the Croslin family, but if you pay attention to Misty’s frantic call to her sister she refers to the van as “my van”. Ronald probably bought the van for Misty and registered it in another Croslin family members name. So techniquely the police would have to return the van to its registered owner being Chelsey!
Plus, Misty has already admitted to driving Haleigh to school when Ronald is too tired to wake up. I posted this admission earlier this week from Art Harris impromtu interview with Misty.

Chelsey Croslin made the following statement in this video:
The day that Haleigh was missing everybody was looking for her later that night she called me crying she said Chelsey please tell me you’re the one that put the scratch in my van. And I started crying and I told her there is no way that I put the scratch on her van.
The reporter goes on to say:
This scratch wasn’t made by Chelsey Croslin. Also, the headlight was cracked and the van was moved from the spot Croslin parked it. Her only explanation is that a family member staying with them took the van the night Haleigh was taken.
Chelsey: You know I’m not accusing anybody but um you know it’s just me being a mom and believing what I believe and everything piecing together I almost feel like I might know who it is.

It’s been reported that you have been using Ronald Cummings as your snitch in exchange for releasing him after every criminal offense and NOT having to serve a sentence. You need to do what’s RIGHT and give this little 5 year old child JUSTICE! Even if it means losing your so-called SNITCH!

For someone to be taking photos like this, it appears to me that there have been questions before on abuse.
I am curious if Crystal has an arrest record? Ronald sure does.
I hope that Crystal keeps fighting for her son….but to be on the safe side, they need to make sure she provides a safe and loving environment for her son.
I would be scared of Ronald if I met him on the street
Also….I am too, disappointed in Nancy Grace…..she is definitely not giving Crystal a chance…she has sided w/ Ronald so quick….I think she better re-think that because of his temper he shows on air….also, being involved w/ minors.

If you look at birthdates for Ron (10-29-1983), Chrystal (8-30-1989), and Haleigh (8-16-2003) you will see that chrystal was 13 when she had Haleigh, she didn’t turn 14 untill fourteen days after Haleighs birth. Ron was 19 when Haleigh was born, turned 20 two months later. Backing up the dates Chrystal had only been 13 for three months when she became pregnant with Haleigh. Its quite possible their relationship started when she was 12 and Ron 18, almost 19. Isn’t that abuse? And wouldn’t that classify Ron as a pedophile? Doesn’t that send a chill down your back now that his little girl is missing? Why for Gods sake didn’t childrens services take any of Chrystals concerns seriously? And we now know that Haleigh was a bed wetter, a sign of abuse, could it have been sexual?

P.S. If it comes about that Haleighs disappearence was because of abuse from her father, shouldn’t childrens services be held accountable also since Chrystal tried numerouse times to get them to investigate, and all they had to do was the math to see that there was abuse between a 19 yr old and a 13 yr old, that should have been a red flag. Is it a wonder that abuse victims give up. And that it sometimes ends in death. Honestly, maybe childrens services needs to be trained in forensic evidence, so that they are better equiped to analize injuries, such as a whipping with a stick (which should be considered abuse).

I want to know the timeline for the preceeding weekend. It’s alleged that Misty was on a bender the weekend before. Was she with WBGreg? If so, what goes down on Monday when she is at home with Ronald?? He allegedly tells Cobra that he knew she was messing around so wouldnt he be pissed? By all accounts he appears to be very controlling and abusive so I highly doubt he just let it go and everything was fine when he went to work on Monday. What happend between Misty & Ronald Monday morning & afternoon?

I’d like to add this… When Chrystal first came into the picture after finding her daughter was missing. She collapsed from dyhidration and for not eating. She was rushed to the hospital. I saw that on NG, that happened to me when my mother passed away. I never ate or drank anything, I just wanted to die. Had it not been for my husband, son and his friends who cared, I would have died, my other family members didn’t care at all, I think when people see her, she has to act strong and brave for Haleigh’s sake, she probably doesn’t want Haleigh to see how scared she really is. Who knows maybe the people enjoy seeing people going nuts and gets a kick out of it and that’s why he isn’t returning her. It’s just my opinion and one more thing, no parent should ever have a child sleep in the same room with an adult, nor should they sleep in the same bed. Everyone should see “Nanny 911″ or better yet call them to come into their homes. A newborn however can be but after they get older, it isn’t healthy, physically or emotionally, the same applies to Misty sleeping with the children. As far as I see them sleeping and peeing the bed shows all signs of insecurities. A healthy home is a home where you all have your own rooms, and respect everyone’s privacy. A child also after a school accident should not be kept from school, kept at home to me shows possibly they abused them physically and didn’t want anyone to see the brises till they were all gone and perhaps they were afraid someone will take them away or it be reported. After all Ron does have a short fuse as he admitted The truth will all come out in the wash sort of speaking. Then and only then will they decide who should have permanant custody or joint. I think Chrystal should have them, and Misty and Ron should start their own family!
I think it is great to have sites like this, one reason the more you get the word out the more people will find her faster. Those who have her will run out of places to hide, because they all will be recognized. Or perhaps they are right under their noses, get the physic’s in, look at what happened in Caylee’s case!!

GROW UP, ALL OF YOU!! My god, nobodys entire life is perfect! But even from Ronalds “arrest” record, that is actually only 3 arrests (multiple charges brought on same day/offense) and one being a ticket for hunting and then NOTHING since 2007. Now lets look at Bio-mom, Crystal, addicted to drugs, lost custody to Ron who works F/T, she owe’s over $4000.00 back child support and doesn’t work, filed false police report of stolen car, Haleigh was found in River drowned in Mom’s care and recessitated back to life, thank god. Father took pictures of injury from school and progression as any good parent who cares about possible long lasting facial scars/injuries could cause and in which school would be liable for and in my eyes was smart to make sure if pictures needed would have been there. Now, lets look at public…with NO PROOF of any wrong doing at all, accuse Ron and his girlfriend of being responsible for disappearance of his daughter! Well, I hope none of you ever have this horrific thing happen to any of you, because your entire life will be on put out there, true, alleged and untrue! So when you throw stones at others make sure you can handle the bricks or cement blocks that will likely be thrown at you. Remember, if it does ever happen to you and you need compassion and the publics support and help to find your child…sorry it won’t be there and the only one who suffors is the child and the only one who gains…the child molester down the street who just took another child in the middle of the night and had all the time in the world to make his escape while the world focused on the family instead of him. Nasty food for thought, don’t choke on it!

I’m reading alot of questions here as to why all these pics were even taken of Haleigh’s injuries.
I would think they were taken because Ron probably was going to hire or did hire a lawyer and was planning on a law suit.
Also they may have been taken to keep as evidence just in case Haleigh showed further injuries at a later time steming from her fall at the playground.
Just my thoughts.

Everyone is so patient in Satsuma, if that were my child, God forbid, I would be screaming from the rooftops for help in finding her. Nothing would be left to chance. Crystal’s family is at least trying to do something productive. Ron’s, nothing. Well except spending the donated money that was to be used for searches for Haleigh!
Enough messing around, let’s figure this out and get this child home! Put Misty in a room with Cobra and a couple other hard-arse cops and pressure her (without Ron there). She will break, Satsuma LE is too easy on her. JMO…

What did you expect the paternal grandmother to do but document this accident after school after all her son Ron and Crystal Sheffield were in a custody dispute over the children and by the sound of reports it was a very bitter dispute. My parents were in a bitter dispute when I was a kid and let me tell you it was nasty and even now they are not able to get along with each other. My dad had to pay child support and he always looked at my arms and legs to see if I had a bruise. One time I got a bruise after falling on a rock so my dad took me to social services and told them that my stepfather had burnt me and had me repeat the same thing because he coached me over and over and promised if I said what he wanted I could go home to my mother and if I didn`t I would have to stay with him forever. For a six year old child as I was at the time it was scary. So I can relate to some of the things that are now going on in this case. Luckily for my dad he didn`t get arrested for reporting false allegations. My mom got sole custody and no matter how many times I say I am sorry about the whole incident it just doesn`t seem enough no matter how many years have gone on.

Put all of this custody issures aside for now. These are school play injuries. Law enforcement get the truth out these red neck people!! Cps, invistigate the Dad, and ignorant girl friend. I don’t think this case will be ever be solved.None of these goof balls will fess up,and there won’t be any closeur on this case.All people involved in Haleigh’s life didn’t seem to provide a safe nurturing environment. Why not have a decent bed for her???You don’t leave a 17 year old in charge what with sex predators within your door step.(there are some adult 17 years that more responsible) This little one fell through the cracks on every level. It will be nothing short of a miracle if she is found.

Ok here is my question? If Crystal was so concerned about the bruising to the face why did she just take a picture? If that were my child I would have gone straight to the police right then and forbidded to give her back to Ronald until I had concrete evidence of where this had accured. I donot think she is as stupid as she wants us to think she is. BUT I donot think she was involoved in the kidnapping of little Haliegh. I feel like yes Ronald is an abuser and I do believe he abused Crystal and he probally does do more to the children than a simple spanking. I feel like he is covering for Misty. I can’t figure out why though. SHE WAS NOT HOME that night. I have said that from the first day. It seems that every single time she appears on tv she is high as kite. I DONOT think either parent should have those children. They are both unfit! Misty will never tell the truth because she knows Ronald with beat her up. I feel for both of these children it seems like they have been raised in a very unstable home. My heart does go out to Ronald’s mom because she is truely broken. I just hope that they will get a crack in the case SOON so they can bring that sweet baby home where sh belongs! I have two children and I can’t imagine someone taking them from me! I have a few things I would like to say, first keep up the good work and thank you for bring us the news & giving us as viewers a place to sound our thoughts & feelings. I noticed something I am not sure any viewers have but misty talks about haleigh in the past tense when she is talking about the night she went missing she said ( I loved that little girl) she should have said love that little girl. People keep trashing crystal why!!! Everyone makes foolish mistakes in their young lives and she did, but she never stopped loving her children. I would like it if everyone could just step in her shoes for 10 minutes and feel what she is feeling!!! second; I am a mother and my son fell off the top of a slide when under the care of my sister and he was bruised from his bum to the middle of his back & had a few cuts also but I never documented the time line why is TN doing that for haleigh there were only two things that came to mind #1 she was suing the school and wanted documentation of it or she felt there was child abuse going on in the home. now for something crystal said about when her & Ron were together, she stated that Ron really never cared for the children & she did it all, well it looks like she is telling the truth because misty said in the interview too you that she has the kids 24/7 and why is it that Ron’s mother has to take haleigh to the hospital both times NOT Ron??? It is his duty as a father to do so
Not his mothers. I watch Nancy grace & I have always believed her to be fair but NOT with this case why is it that she wants to trash crystal & put Ron & misty up as great people??? I feel that she should report all the good & bad of all involved in the case. We as viewers should see her bring cobra onto her show so he can shed light on what he has found & his views because he has been the most neutral person on this case. I believe that crystal & Ron need to go through parenting & anger management classes along with counseling when this case is solved. I personally was in a custody battle for years, when I was not only did I take pictures, I had a weekly report from the school, hand signed by the teacher. I had weekly reports from the after school daycare, signed by the administrator. I had a weekly visit to the Doctor in which I had him sign a letter of the condition of my child. When one is entangled in a custody battle YOU DOCUMENT Document Document & yes an injury would have to be daily documented, it is ammo for other if details & facts are not kept. This so called white/black who cares secret visitor is never going to be found, oh many will talk of him, many seen him, many will again, yet he will never actually exist…because he does not exist. Now that the words Lawsuit have come up, the mysterious squeaky shoed couch bouncing man all in black will continue to exist only with a caption….”We are not stating that as a fact” Sqeaky shoes and couch bouncing, all in black and possibly black, in my opinion it is nothing more than small town gossip and a story so simple it is easy to see clearly through it. I watched an episode of True Crimes the Investigator could not solve the case, it was a small area so what he did is petitioned to the area to open their homes cars, boats everything including their mouths for DNA through that process & it was a long one the killer was found. Every home, yard, car was sniffed they held DNA collection on different nights at a town arena. Though this would be a huge undertaking and costly I wonder if it is an option. The picture painted here and other reporting paints the area as though every 3rd house is a crack lab and the streets are riddled with violent addicts, drug dealers, all living in trailers which apparently means they are less than, uneducated & white. I’m not sure what a black man living in a trailer is….These are just obsevations I have made on different boards, personally I do not buy into all that. Should the area actually be that bad then I guess it would not be a reasonable request of the people. Our prayes are with Haleigh for a safe & speedy return, & for the families in her life to mend the rift, unite in parenting and rise above this. A united family a child with both parens active in their life by proven facts has a far greater chance on all levels. God Bless Haleigh & all her families.

My prayers go out to both sides of the family. I am not going to judge either side of Haleigh’s family. They know the truth about all of this. Haleigh needs to be found, then fight over custody of the kids. Haleigh is the one to be worried about, I am sure they are taking good care of Jr. right now.
My heart breaks for this little girl. I know everyone of the family loves her more than words can say.
I pray everyday that she is found real soon, she needs to be home.
Throwing word at each other is not bringing her any closer home, please remember it is Haleigh that needs all of the attention now.

In looking at the photos of Haleigh’s facial injuries and the progression of the “symptoms” (as an experienced pediatric nurse) it all looks quite normal to me. In the later photos, she appears to have “cellulitis” which happens sometimes, even in normal, healthy children.
As we all sit in our homes, and nit pick apart every word and picture, let me say that we have not walked in their shoes and therefore need to be reasonably compassionate. The individual verbal and body language of people vary by region, education and stress level.
However, of real note, Misty’s dilated pupils in early interviews. Pupil dilation does not vary by region, education or stress.

Thanks for clearing up the mattress/bed confusion. I guess I was concentrating too hard on the bedroom that Haleigh was kidnapped from. I do remember that particular Nancy Grace show, now that you mention it.
Does anyone know what particular type of Turner’s Syndrome that Haleigh has? I have searched Google and learned there are a lot of different types. They blame all her school absences on the Turner Syndrome but there does not seem to be anything associated with regular TS that would keep her out of school. Perhaps, drug hangovers, late partying, etc. is the REAL reason behind her missing so much school. Another thing, Tuner’s Syndrome requires frequent doctor visits and close medical supervision.
And, what 5-yr old doesn’t love to ride the bus? Misty said that sometimes she drove Haleigh to school when she didn’t want to ride the bus or Ron didn’t want to get up and take her to the bus stop, (or school?). My personal experience with raising four kids and babysitting three grandchildren, is that not one EVER protested about riding the bus. (That is, until they reached their teen years!)
I hope the responders to Art’s website will give the LE some new ideas or tips to follow up on.

For everyone that believes the father,Take a real good look at the photo’s!!!!!! Her whole face is bruised and scratched up, monkey bars do not effect the whole face!! That means there is no way that both sides of the face could be effected, unless her face fell in between the bars! since there are no bar marks on the sides of her face,this is inconsistant. So tell the truth already!!!! I think she fell that day, but I think more happened and the incident on the playground was a great cover!!!As for Crystal, I understand that you were abused. But for your children you should not have waited so long to press charges. It is a good thing for you that his rap sheet is longer than most peoples D.M.V records….Maybe this will help you.. I hope they find your daughter soon.

Misty didn’t call 911 right away. I wonder how long Haleigh was actually missing before Ron got home. She could have given the person that took Haleigh enough time to get out of the area.
What I do not understand is why Ron has gotten away with so much. I know his mom is a dispatcher for the police, but what message is this sending out to all of the other druggies. It seems as though he can get away with doing all of these drugs, pediphillia, and now possibly murder.
Thresa has no right working for the police department with her knowledge of what her son does.

Is Cobra in jail? OR is this a rumor?.I read that Cobra went to Daniel Snodgrass house the Sexual Criminal and took him in his car and was questioning him for hours,he called police and Cobra got arrested.
I would like to know the truth and whats going on.If LE isn’t going to say anything then we need to hear it from some one who knows.

TN would of taken pictures to document any injuries because Marie Griffis had called DCF in the past on him. Thank goodness the injury was documented. Arts earlier report states that Crystal saw the children on the 12th of Nov when she took them to visit her father Johnny. I would say that is when Connie took the picture of Haleigh, the bruising matches in addition to the pink shirt Haleigh has on.
Police have the timeline from 7pm – 3am for Haleigh missing. I am assuming that is from the a/c man being there, family members and the neighbor that saw Haleigh in the yard playing, and the Grandmother that dropped off clothes.

Did anyone ever check the date stamps on Ron’s pictures and Haliegh’s school attendance records to see if they match. That would be a good way to make sure the little was indeed at school. Remember, it was Teresa Neves, Ron’s mother who took the pictures. One discrepancy and we have a story. This whole sordid affair seems more like “he said-she said” with the children in the middle. Remember on Geraldo they said that Ronald had “back handed” Haliegh. How reliable is little Junior as a witness. Is he being coached by someone?

Haleigh was taken to the er the date of the fall. She was taken back on the 12th not because her injury worsened but because of stomach cramps. They did do a cat scan at that time I would assume because symptoms of a more serious injury to the head can be vomitting, nausea. I believe she was diagnoised with e-coli at least from medical records read on NG.

accused child molester reportedly filed complaint against cobra for cuffing him while the licensed bounty hunter made sure his bond papers were in order, then released him. deputies were there when it happened. cobra was not arrested.

Being a citizen of Putnam County for the past 16 yrs I would have to disagree with the synopsis you gave of the county being Deliverance Country .. I wouldn’t call it a destination & would move if I could but that is mostly due to the lack of QUALITY MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENTS .. The facts are that it’s hard to get witnesses to a crime that obviously had none .. & I’ll tell you my reasoning for that statement .. People can’t keep their mouths shut in this county .. You couldn’t keep a secret if you wanted to unless you were the only one that knew .. & I believe that is the issue we are dealing with .. Whether it be Misty & Greg ,… or Misty & Ronald that caused the disappearance of Haleigh .. Misty is the key ! .. I am just shocked that whoever is involved has managed to keep it secret for this long .. Considering the mentality of those involved .. I know the area over where this happened .. You are not going to stumble upon that area .. As for your take on our Sheriffs office basically being a bunch of sissies .. I guess I would say that they are probably a little camera shy being that the entirety of the world is watching .. & That its’ self is inexcuseable .. People in this county think that Misty wouldn’t last long under some true pressure .. PCSO is either onto something or in over their heads & who the hell knows because they say nothing .. Time to round up some people & get them behind some bars & that’s when the stories are gonna start flying .. No one is going to say anything while they are free to come & go as they please .. These people are not cleaver .. They just need to be “enticed” into speaking .. If someone was out to get Ronald or Misty why take Haleigh .. A kidnapping brings WAY too much heat .. I find this underground hog pen very disconcerting! However things are not always as they appear and no one should jump the gun on that, but please check it again. I heard of this story where a man used his animal quaters for smoke screens! Hay bails to hide guns,I don’t know about a Marine but I heard he was a ” rear end gunner” had pigs, used them for exscuses, had isolated property, searched 5 times nothing turned up….until a missing girl came out of the his isolated property nearly a decade later. So is two times to many to have to do it again as Cobra says? I have my suspicions she would not agree with Cobra on that one. I heard he had moved her numerous times in the beginning. However today they have DNA & other nifty stuff. Please go back & check again & any where like that in the area. Please check these prermises completely

I’m not only concerned about the pics of poor little Haleigh but I’m also very disturbed with the pics of little Jr still in a diaper with what appears to be “switch mark” bruises on his little legs. Unbelievable! It just makes me believe that there is some truth in what CS is saying and that RC is indeed an abuser.

In this video of Ronald picking up Haleigh, I mentioned Ronald saying imagine that, it is half way through when he is asked if he had other children? I might be reading too much into it, but I feel he said it as he wished it were Jr. instead of Haleigh. Would someone else watch this video and let me know what you think.
Also, I am very upset with Nancy Grace as well. Cayley has been found, but little Haleigh is still missing. Fine, keep us updated, but stick to the missing. Then there is the little 6 year old auju that went missing and heard even less of him.

The Thing that really gets me is that all these theories about Ronald being some abusive murderer are solely based on his ex’s testimony. Mind you, this is a woman that lost custody twice (in a court system that typically favors keeping children with the mother) has established her own life over 200 miles away, and claimed Ronald abused her yet seemed to have no problem letting him have full custody up until Hayleigh’s disappearance. I am not saying this to be mean; these are facts. The main problem I have with the bio’s mom’s allegations is that they have completely taken focus away from finding this child. It is simply her word against Ronald’s, who by all accounts seems like a hard-working man that like a lot of others, has made some poor choices. I know a lot of young men out there that are not the most mature fathers but by all accounts, try to do the right thing and provide for their families. I think marrying Misty was foolish and inappropriate but guess what? None of that is any of our business.
As others have mentioned prior to this, when a person is injured a black and blue will predominantly become much worse before healing. Why on earth would Ronald and his mother have documented this and taken the child to the emergency room if someone was abusing her? It just doesn’t add up. I am really shocked at how some people are crucifying these people based on their economic status and their verbiage in front of the camera. If the biological mother is telling the truth, the truth WILL come out. All people are going on right now are allegations and marks that were documented by a school official. The marks on the little boy are marks that are seen on any child that age. I think anyone that has ever spent time around children can admit that bruises are common.
Could Ronald be involved? Of course, no one has been ruled out. However, I have no reason to believe he had anything to do with his daughter’s disappearance just like I have no reason to believe the biological mother was involved in anyway. Whoever took this child, I hope they are found out and held accountable. Like others, I have a problem with Misty’s inconsistencies and why she is not yet ruled out as a suspect. I can’t help but wonder if she was out that night but either the police have no leads or they are gathering all the facts slowly and carefully. Until more facts are gathered, I really hope some of the crazy theories that are out there are put to rest. This is a family that is going through something I hope none of us ever have to experience in our lifetimes. I can’t even imagine functioning to be honest. LET’S KEEP OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ON HAYLEIGH!!!!!

It is interesting to consider IF the abuse allegations had been documented & investigated months ago –Haleigh would likely NOT be MISSING now. SCRUTINY of a dysfunctional father/step-girlfriend with a history of criminal activity and drugs … where there is SMOKE …
As to the ABUSE ALLEGATIONS: it is also interesting that the ONLY RON supporters DENYING he is an abuser are HIS IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
On the other hand, THOSE believing RON TO BE AN ABUSER –are unrelated 3rd party witnesses who are coming OUT OF THE WOODWORK now with tales of his abuse of his kids. If there were ONLY 2 or 3 people coming forward, that would be ONE THING. BUT THERE are a LOT MORE than just 2 or 3 making signed statements. THAT seems significant.

Right Karen Lee….and if there are drug charges on your record and no convictions, it just means you got out of it somehow. Fancy trucks, tatoos, etc. but yet, the kids don’t have a headboard, boxspring and mattress type beds. Where is all of Ronald’s money going? Grandma Sykes brought clothes over for the kids that night? Sounds like to me Ronald comes first before his kids. How many times have they moved in the last few years? How many girlfriends have the children been subjected to in the last few years? Misty moved in rather quickly and became “stepmom”. I hope Crystal is ok….I know the stress of all this is not helping.

I cried right along with him as I watched him cry

I wanted to say that I know Cobra was concerned about being set -up in woods by Teresa . WhatI think happened there was Teresa was most likely told by Ron ( lawyer’s advise ) not to say anything to anyone from now on and so I feel Teresa did so behind Ron’s back and I have a feeling that Ron called her on her cell phone at that moment while they were in the woods searching and that made her feel guilty, panicky, causing her to leave just in case Ron was close by. I just think she had very good intentions of having Cobra help her look in that area for Haleigh but wanted to do so without Ron knowing is all.
I really dont think it was a set up. Teresa seems desperate to get someone to keep looking for Haleigh and Cobra is best man for the job.

I am not heartless, I feel very sad for all involved and I’m praying for them all, but I just wanted to point out a couple of things about the video.
-The scatches on Rons knuckles
-The fact that he says “I would give my life to have my childs life back” instead of simply saying I’d give my life to have my child back. And he seems to catch what he’d said and looks very upset and then goes down into crying.
But I must admit that I don’t read much into these words or the words he said when geraldo confronted him that “he’d believe she was alive until they found her” because if your child goes missing and your distraught your not going to worry about properly wording your sentences.
It might be important and it might not…I just thought it was worth pointing out.

From what I see and hear they are trying to say the black eye did show up till later? Well I know first hand that black eyes show up almost instantly. My grandson fell down the outside steps slipping on some ice this winter, and it was dark outside. He fell down four steps, by the time I got him in the house to see if he was alright a matter of about 2 to 3 minutes the eye was already black and blue. Yes a couple days later it was darker and had some yellow in it but it black and blue instantly. As for Nancy Grace I just don’t understand what she has against the mother crystal. Let her talk Nancy!! Nancy is living in a perfect world most of us are not. People that should have custody of there children do not, because yes nancy grace the system is not perfect in are world only yours!!!

this is sooo frustrating! why won’t LE give a press conference to update their progress?? even if only to say we don’t know anything, our leads have run cold. and if they are playing this close to the vest because they do have information what is taking soooo darn long for them to make a statement or arrest? I can understand they don’t like all the media attention but by not putting the info they have out how do they expect to get new leads. If someone has valuable info they are holding back they sure are not feeling the police will be at their door anytime soon. I’m sure they feel as if the cops are not on to them. why can’t someone find this child?? the silence by LE is very unsettling and the incident report I have seen does not ease this creepy vibe! there is just not enough detail and it even has Haleigh listed as male. I’ve read every blog I can find on this and we all feel the same in that something is not right with this investigation, when will a higher caliber of Florida or federal LE step in?? I do not think Crystal Sheffield is fit enough to have custody of her son. You don`t take your child on a tv show and let him be interviewed just to soften your image. That in my opinion would be called child abuse. This poor little boy if his story is true witnessed his sister`s disappearance and misses his sister really very badly and wants her home. What kind of parent would exploit their child after he has been through so much in the past couple of weeks is no parent. And for her attorney Kim to make excuses about the interview is stupid. It shows them in a bad light and it makes them look like fools.

Marie, what evidence do they (or YOU) have that Misty is obstructing justice? I agree she probably is, but what PROOF do they have? You keep asking that same question to keep it on the thread, but the reality is, if they arrest her without concrete proof, she could completely walk! Ever heard of double jeopardy??? You really want them to arrest her now, without concrete evidence of anything, then have some slick lawyer (paid for by us) get her off the hook AND fix it so she can’t be later arrested when they DO have proof? Art I admit I copied the photo of Haleigh standing in they yard onto my computer to blow it up, wearing a little tank top and shorts. I blew it up and cropped her arm. My Lord in Heaven it is Black and Blue from the bend of her are to her wrist. Looks like a bite on the arm. Somebody did that, and that is not from a fall off the Monkey Bars.

@OhSnap: There are two points of confusion as to Crystal’s age element.
1. During one of Crystal’s interviews, she state that she was first with ron at the age of 14. She does not clarify if this was the beginning of dating or living together. So, that is a confusion.
2. The date of birth on both the court papers from 2006 and the Police report were given by ron, not Crystal.
3. To date, I do not believe that Crystal has openly stated how old she is, rather than what she placed on her myspace, but, her sister also has the same age listed. Should we assume they are twins?
I conclude that her age and date of birth is not important enough to disagree about, because we don’t have clarification, and how is this important to the issues of Little Haleigh, gone missing?
These photos of Haleigh, given to be posted as a “dateline” of her injury’s, with identical copies, photos taken on the same date.. look at her clothing in photos. And then the double copy of the tiny photo, which in reality she has buising and injury on the little right arm. This is another smoke screen. And I ask again, what does that photo have to do with Haleighs injury at school, when apparently something occurred. Were they left small as they are, because ron hadn’t caught on how much this photo screams out, Haleigh was injured again, apparently last fall or summer? I would love to see if they took a photo of her after her little fingers were put in boiling water, which has been reported. Little hands covered in bandages, a weekend her visit with her Mother was cancelled, and Crystal never told why. Very simple, you burn the child’s hands, they are bandaged.. Your going to let her go to her Mother, so Crystal could see the injury? Issues of child abuse have had already been reported. Children’s services had already been to the house… That would have been like icing on the cake.. get my drift..

Also, if you look near her wrist real good, you will see , what looks like a second bite mark. There are no marks on her face in this pic, so how could this be from teh monkey bars? They slipped that one in to try to act like it was. What about the pics with the burned hands???? Can anyone explain that? Art?

I am still curious as to the hands being wrapped in bandages! Also, before I read these past few comments, I wondered what the pics of Haleigh were about, where there was no injuries to her face…then I clicked on the pic…I see those bite marks…Why was Ms. Neves taking other pics of other injuries, if she was just documenting the school injury??? IMO, I feel she suspected abuse also, but now is COVERING things up!

I read about the burns and I do swear I saw a photo.. And the information was included that the visit to her Momma was cancelled because of the burns. I know where I read it, it was a statement overheard by an teacher in the school system who use to work for Children’s services, he stated that he was told or overheard the info, from a relative of Misty, who stated that Misty hated Haleigh and even put her little fingers into boiling water. It is on the site of a retired FBI profiler from that area. Thats it.

mlee, Crystals myspace says shes 23….Sarah’s says she’s 21. As for the alleged abuse, as bad as the info on Ron is, there’s nothing I’ve seen on him that’s nearly as bad (in terms of care of the children) as I’ve seen on Chad Griffis, Crystal’s step-brother and fiance. He was court ordered away from his own bio kids by another woman for 2 years for abusing them…not alleged abuse, but found guilty by the court. Additionally, I just read the court documents posted on another thread here by (obviously) someone in Crystal’s camp, but that posting seemingly backfired, as it showed Crystal barely even cognizant during the proceedings, the judge multiple times asking her to answer in, and her mother interjecting throughout the proceedings, and being told often by the judge that CRYSTAL needed to respond to him. She was unfocused, answered every question with an uh-huh, or “inaudible,” was found to have missed multiple court dates, and over a dozen doctors appointments for the children. She was fond to have used cocaine, and in the time frame that she would have been pregnant with Jr., which could definitely have contributed to his heart murmer and Haleigh’s condition. All of her allegations of abuse by Ronald were found to be unfounded by another court, as well as this court, and she even no-showed the follow-up to that proceeding whereby the judge found her unable to care for her children…and not because Ron gave the courts the wrong address for her and she didn’t know to show, as the judge verified all of her information during the first proceeding. He also found that she had no job, no home, no means of supporting the children, and no stable relationship with the children. She also repeatedly told the judge about Ron being high on cocaine when he wrecked his car with the kids in the back, but when pressed, admitted she had been told this by a friend of a friend. Even after the judge was shown that Ron voluntarily took a drug test the following day, she still had an attorney put in a followup document that Ron was high on cocaine when he wrecked. What’s WRONG with her??

If an adult used an object such as a stick or a belt to hit another adult it would be considered a weapon and a felony. Why is it not considered a weapon when using it on your child? Why is it necessary for Ron to spank a sick child in the first place? He is a giant compared to those children and certainly one smack with the force of his hand would probably send any one of you sailing against the wall let alone this tiny child. Picture that!!! For those of you defending this action of a grown man “spanking” his tiny children then why aren’t you defending the parent that “shakes” their baby? In my opinion hitting your children is only teaching them that’s it’s ok to use violence when you are angry about a situation. That’s right, it is the anger within that causes you to physically lash out at another and your own inability to control your emotions. The Cummings family obviously agrees with this type of corporal punishment and it shows in Ron’s attitude and actions toward his women and children. Some cultures allow for beheading of their wives.
Ron has accumulated “time stamped” photos of Haleigh’s injuries showing the progression stages. Who on earth would have those on hand other than the treating facility, school personnel, DCF or someone in law enforcement? Ron is not bright enough, without being coached, to have made the decision of creating a portfolio of Haleigh’s injuries. If so, then where is Jr.’s? JMO

I think Teresa Neves took the pictures,so Crystal couldn’t say it was Child abuse..Crystal had visitation every other week..I still want to know how we can find out who picked Haeleigh up from the bus for sure?? Also who brought her to the Bus?

Why is Jr. still in the custody of Ronald and Misty???? It’s only a matter of time before he goes missing, and again his missing will be swept under the rug, as Hayleigh’s is…I think the G’ma Neves is covering for her son and Misty…If you watch her mannerisms when she and Ron are questioned together she squirms when the heat is on…The whole Cummings bunch knows what happened…I fear poor Hayleigh will never get justice..I also think she is buried within a two mile radius of the home.. Who stopped volunteers from searching for her? Has Ronald and Misty spent ONE day looking for her? It seems like this will be just another cold case, and it makes me mad as hell that someone is getting away with this murder…. IMO

Mary, to anyone not having a personal stake in this, these photos are absolutely consistant with a playground accident. Further, the entire situation has been documented by the school, Flagler Hospital, and with daily photographs with timestamps. Who, in their right mind, would beat a child, then heavily document the injuries with medical and photographic evidence? No one. Who would beat a child ONLY on their face…the very first place the injuries would be noticeable? No one. The school reports very clearly document everything that happened, and every cut, etc. Crystal and her family getting in front of a tv camera and saying the school records said “there was only a tiny scratch on her nose,” and that “Ron didn’t take her to the hospital for a week after the accident” when there’s documented evidence to the contrary is embarassing for them…and it’s also a lie. Why go on national television with allegations that are clearly documented otherwise by not only the school at which the accident occurred, but also by a very reputable staff at Flagler Hospital? It defies logic. Worse, it completely negates any credibility they could every hope to garner.

Someone once told me than abuser begets another abuser a smart person who wants to stop the cycle, and really stops it is a good parent. He admitted to hitting JR with a switch and as far as I am concerned no one keeps a child out of school unless they are hiding something.. example: if it happened on the playground as he claims, why keep her out of school, and my thought is because he did more to the injury and that is why he kept her out of school, because he doesn’t want to loose custody. Maybe some of it happened at school, and perhaps he did something and made it worse, I did see the blue around her eyes, maybe not in this picture but in another picture that Crystal had. A child will always love their parent while they are getting abused. That is of course JMO. Since shes not here to defend herself, perhaps that is why she is missing, so she wouldn’t tell??

This little girl probably missed school due to the fact-A.) that drug abusers can’t get up on time B.)too tired from running the roads all day and night looking for Misty C.)arguing too much and making up to notice that children even exist in their household. These aren’t your everyday run of the mill rednecks. I live in FL in a small town like theirs. Want to know about these people? Just ask me.
