Aretha Wows ‘Em: Obama Country ‘Tis of Thee
Lady Soul, Aretha Franklin, Sings It Like It is: Sweet Land of Liberty
The Bald Truth wants to know if you were there, or if you were watching, how you’re feeling about today, tomorrow and President Barack Obama…What a day!

Seriously though, where did all that gas money go?
January 21st, 2009 at 6:08 pm
And, how long does it take to put ‘coins’ into circulation, and to make fine China plates?
January 21st, 2009 at 7:25 pm
What about separation of Church and State?
January 21st, 2009 at 7:26 pm
What about an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?
January 21st, 2009 at 7:27 pm
What about Birth Control instead of an ‘Obama Nation?’
January 21st, 2009 at 7:28 pm
What about Bank of America and all that ‘fine print?’
January 21st, 2009 at 7:36 pm
What about Tobacco and Lobbyists, and ‘That Road’ leading to nowhere man…reminds me of a song.
Really, though loved hearing ‘The Fat Lady’ finally sing.
Reminds me of a bird in cage.
Anyone want to buy a house?
It’s a really nice neighborhood with an especially nice, little elementary school, that’s just precious. But, there’s an ‘All Black College’ that seems to need some real good teachers and ‘Government Funding’ or something.
But wait there’s more.
There’s a beautiful ‘Pink Palace’ within walking distance and a bunch of special ‘restaurants’ to feed all those hungry Attorneys, and Law Makers.
And to top it all off, they just built one heck of a fortress…it’s a jailhouse.
Lord have mercy, it’s just business, BIG BUSINESS, and it’s called GOVERNMENT.
WUNDER IF THEY’VE GOT ANY JOB OPENINGS? I’m a pretty good ‘runner.’

Aretha surely did sing that song. She put some real soul in it.I feel like President Obama is going to do a fine job. We must remember what he was left with, not just a plate full, but a buffet of problems. However, I feel that God didn’t put him there to leave him now. He will do fine. To all the haters, get over it. LOL

Art!
I have missed your articles!
Hope you have been doing well.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
I am a middle-aged and white, I watched the President-Elect get sworn in! I cried like a baby!
I have been a moderate Democrat for years and I do like some Republican Politicians… a very few LOL
I think if Colin Powell or Newt Gingrich were in this office the last 8 years we would not have had such a big mess.
I am so angry that Bush who truly is not very smart, let Cheney influence him into so many horrible decisions!
I hear now Cheney is mad at Bush for not pardoning Scooter Libby! What a joke Cheney, Rumsfield and Bush have been for the last 8 years. IMO
For anyone to not want an educated person in this high office (Republican or Democrat) is just totally beyond my comprehension!
I honestly do not think that President Obama can unfix all of this mess, but I do know one thing for sure!
*He surely will not make it worse!
I was a little disappointed that the Chief Justice did not ‘read’ those 35 words slowly and directly to President-Elect Obama during the swearing in though. Since it was the Chiefs first time he should have not just tried to say the words from memory in my opinion.
As I was watching it I thought oh crap, that could have went a little smoother!
I am very glad that they re-did the oath just to make sure there were no lingering questions.
I have a sneaky feeling the far-left in Washington are not going to be as happy with Obama as they would have been with Hillary or some of the other Democrats that ran for this office. I like Joe Biden, but think that he needs to be a little more professional… I think Obama will set a good example for him to be better after some time passes.
Strange isn’t it? Biden has been a Senator in Washington for over three decades and Barack just seems so much more mature and responsible. That is why I love this President!
Not just because he went to Harvard, and was the first African American to be President of the Law Review. Or, the fact that he specializes in Constitutional Law, it is he is just very street smart, book smart, and the rest of the countries in the world respect him so much more than they did Bush. I just feel in my heart and soul that the United States of America is in much better hands than we were before!
ps, I like Obama much more than I did Bill Clinton!

Our Government rather reminds me of cheese, especially ‘Swiss’ all full of holes..
Sweetish; nutty with large holes; deep ivory to pale yellow. Gentle-flavored, meltible, and easily sliced. Used for dessert, cheese trays, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and as an ingredient in cooking. Goes with fresh fruit and squares of crusty French bread.

I just hope ‘they’ keep ‘printing’ that money.

FDIC…WHAT’S THAT ‘STAND FOR’ really?
January 31st, 2009 at 8:25 pm
What is a ‘figure head?’
February 2nd, 2009 at 7:17 pm
So how’s it hanging?
Reminds me of ‘chads.’

None the less, there’s something in ‘those sparkling brown eyes.’
Obama has those ‘eyes’…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go
And…
I sure hope he has the strength to overcome all those critics…and become what I hope he’ll be.
More than inspiration for us, more than music or ‘aftermath’ …
More than ‘Wall Street’ or ‘The Media’…
And, definitely more than any of these ‘threads’ on this ’site’ so-called…
“The Bald Truth”
I hope Obama knows how well he’s being played…
And hope he makes a difference.
I sure do hope a lot, LOL.
I’m better at being funny, and witty!!!
Hi EJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should have had Mr. ‘T’ singing “I Pity The Fool.”
First they make all those real, intelligent Americans pay taxes, then they give it to the banks, then the banks just say “Charge It.”
LOL

That lady of soul, no doubt believed in herself and bought or paid for her ‘publicity’ and ‘promotion.’
I think she has Thyroid Disease…seems that’s a pretty common ailment among females especially.
I call it ‘Burned Out Disease.’
That lady of soul has more than a voice.

“Oh, say, can’t you see?”
Sure wish our great government would vote on one thing at a time, instead of ‘package deals’ so they can all go on vacations. Just like those bank CEO’s.
So we pay the interest, and of course, we pay the tax…then just look at those crooks taking off on jet airplanes.
Might be a good time to really look into those LOCAL ELECTIONS.
Yet, even then, seems their ego gets all blown up out of proportion once they are in.
“Tag, you’re it.”

Did you get tired of us Art?
I sure do wonder when, or if you’re ever coming back.
Sure wish you’d come back with a vengeance or something.
Of course, I know if we really knew what you thought, you probably wouldn’t be soooooo POPULAR!!!
HOPE YOU’RE SAFE AND WARM…AND I’M SURE YOU ARE FINALLY OFF YOUR FEET AND TAKING IT EASY ON YOUR BACK.
You’re probably, or hopefully like Laura Bush, that didn’t listen to OBama’s speech.
I didn’t either.

Regarding Ron Cummings #1. Why is he getting away with child molestation? #2. He was reported to the police for leaving BOTH children in the car for awhile why he did “business” with man in shed (reported as possible drug deal)#3. (He said did Chad say I hit my kids)who is Ron’s Chad? #4. (He has had numerous drug arrests in the past) Why is this not being talked about #5. Do you not realize that cursing young girls is verbal abuse?

Who was that ‘Opera Star’ singing on the radio in that movie called “Driving Ms. Daisy?”
