O.J. Simpson To Serve At Least 9 Years; “Monster…Where He Belongs”–Fred Goldman
Judge Jackie Glass Doesn’t Buy OJ’s Spiel for Mercy
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) www.artharris.com
At least Fred Goldman says, O.J. didn’t get away with murder this time.
As part of a father’s relentless hunt for justice, Goldman sat in the Las Vegas courtroom, like he did every day at a trial I covered 13 years ago, when Simpson was acquitted for the brutal double killings of his son, Ron, and O.J’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson.
While the evidence was overwhelming—DNA, bloody shoe prints, hairs, fibers, carpet threads and mountains of testimony—it was not enough to convince a majority black jury to send the Juice to jail.
Too much bad blood between LA’s black community and the LAPD that Simpson’s late attorney, the legendary Johnny Cochran, played on, spinning a tale of police conspiracy, contamination and corruption—topped off by the drama of a glove that did not fit, and a superstar celebrity who made the moment fit like a glove.
Only this time, Judge Jackie Glass said the evidence WAS overwhelming and could not be denied.
Simpson was caught on audio tape quarterbacking a team of gun-waving goons who muscled sports collectors at the Palace Casino hotel he said were about to sell his belongings. Simpson can be heard raging at his former friends, and apologized in court Friday.
That was not enough to sway the judge, as she slapped the fallen gridiron great with 33 years in state prison for the fumbled hotel room heist.
According to a clerk for Judge Jackie Glass, Simpson will serve at least 9 years before he’s eligible for parole, in 2017 when he will be 70 years old. But inmates rarely get out of jail at their first hearing.
Dressed in blue prison scrubs, OJ was lead away in shackles, as Fred Goldman and daughter, Kim, wept tears of joy and embraced. Goldman said “the monster” was finally behind bars, “where he belongs.”
Judge Glass emphasized her punishment was not payback or retribution for that what many believed was justice gone wrong in an era of a racial divide, a get out of jail free card for Simpson, and she also pronounced Simpson arrogant to the end.
He winced, and appeared to fight back tears. Then, I swear I saw him twist his manacled hands into a weird thumbs up for someone in court (a fan, a relative) — even manage a faint smile as he was lead away.
Attorneys announced their plans two appeal, but one thing is certain—the Juice won’t be on the loose for a long time.

I feel sorry for OJ. If he was guilty the first time (I don’t know), but this time I feel that he was set up.
At the end, all things work together for good. Perhaps OJ needs this to make him consider his ways and turn his life around. The Lord punishes us because he loves us.
Hopefully this will bring closure to the families of his deceased wife and her boyfriend so they can also move on with their lifes.

Who could ever feel sorry for Simpson? This SOB is in jail for a very long time. He got what he deserved. And I hope he rots in hell! And good for Fred Goldman for persuing Simpson all these years. It’s his turn now. His son was brutally murdered, & taken away from him. He showed up in court at this holdup trial, & got his own justice that was long coming to him. It was good to see Fred Goldman, & his daughter Kim observe Simpson’s sentencing. Good riddance, OJ Simpson. I hope you die in jail, you scum of the earth!

I also feel sorry for O.J., but we all have to be careful what we do. He should never have gone to that hotel room. He of all people, should have known that the eyes of the world were upon him. As far as that erratic person called Fred Goldman, he is so full of hate after all of these years. He had better be careful what he wishes for and get all that hatred out of his heart. I believe God allows certain things to happen to us to teach us a lesson. Even though they say it will be at least nine years before OJ can be paroled, God hasn’t spoken on that yet. He can do ALL things.

You know 13 years ago I was amazed when they read that verdict and I was so impressed with Marcia Clark and all that circumstantial evidence.
It really hit home how justice so often doesn’t get served.
And Fred’s son really looked like the perfect match for Nicole. Sure wish she had met him first.
But, I do hope OJ’s kids are OK…all they did was get born.
I don’t believe OJ was always always “A Monster.”
I’m sure drugs or alcohol, or both were his inevitable downfall. And ultimately not just him but Nicole and Fred’s son’s, too!

Everyone I have talked to believes OJ was set up and the sentence given by the judge was unfair. As for the one’s who appear on national tv to joice their “joy” that Simpson is going to prison for 33 years (you know who you are) have joined the lynch mob attitude. Nancy Grace and her kleenex dabbing was total drama and uncalled for. She lead the cheering section.

Ditto on comments 1.-2. and 5. My opinion of Mr. Goldman is that his hate is so deeply rooted that he will never move on…
Frieda..be serious..tell us how you really feel.

What a mess.
Might be nice for Goldman to visit ‘that son’ in jail.
Maybe it’s way past time they had a long talk.
In conclusion, or comparrison, wonder if there’s a reason or some reason might be had.
Guess that’s remote, to think nonesense.
But, what is gone is gone, and what’s still alive might be worth investigation.
Here today, gone tomorrow…
So take it by the horns, as ‘they’ say.
A little kid with rickets, and the mom to his kids…a beautiful woman…and really just…
You man…since we’re not supposed to pronounce the ‘h.’
Rather reminds me of Jesus…or He is us…or a hatchet.
Bury it?

Reminds me of “2001″ and Spacey and Lennon.

“Reality TV”
Of course, with the likes of Riccio…who could really believe…well, maybe for a while.
I kinda think maybe.
There was no easier way to pin something on someone famous kinda like Michael Jackson…
We will never know the truth…seems there’s a ‘Gate’ makin’ a monkey of us…or just a bunch of money.
Fine with me, if only they’d just diversify a bit more and tell us the ‘Good News’…equal time….instead of feeding us this garbage everyday.
I’ve just about got my fill.
