On the campaign trail for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, special correspondent Art Harris scored an exclusive sitdown with Gov. Palin her first day back in her Anchorage office Nov. 7, several days before her other “exclusives” aired with Greta Van Sustern of FOX News and Matt Lauer of the Today Show.
Palin took time out from a budget conference with staff, wrestling with dropping oil and gas prices and how she’d have to juggle Alaska’s tax shortfalls and cover key funding requests by the likes of the state police. Read the rest of this entry »
NBC’s Matt Lauer in Alaska on the Sarah Palin Post Campaign Trail

Last Monday in Anchorage, we bumped into TV superstar Matt Lauer, who was about to drive 45 miles to Wasila to finish his post-election interviews with Sarah Palin. He tells us he found her “very human,” and was planning to go live from her house in Wasilla the next morning, and toss to the interview that ran last Tuesday on Today…
Along with NBC’s veteran producer, Jim Bell, we were delighted to later find ourselves in the same Starbucks line at Anchorage International the next day, heading back to the Lower 48. Matt says Gov. She packed a wallop whereever she went, firing up crowds, even as she turned others off, and we were along for the amazing ride to report on the rise and fall (and likely rise again) of Sarah Palin, and will be bringing you some tales from the trail and video we shot.
