Dear Art,
You must be on vacation.

You know as well as me, that if 'The Law' really wanted to do their job they could just sit outside those bars at closing time.

What about those illegals?

What about border patrol, LOL.

I love math, but some things just don't add up.

oops...hit the submit button accidentally...my post continues...
NICK is accountable for his actions, as should be anyone who is involved in a similar situation {be it a high powered car or a "stolen" piece of "junk"}..NICK will have to live with the knowledge that he destroyed John..and his families life {probably forever}.
I urge AMERICA to treat this tragic situation FAIRLY..please do not differentiate between the "HAVE and THE HAVE NOTS"...I can assure you that if the driver of the car that caused John's injuries was "penniless" then this would not be in the news!!! {NATURALLY a "penniless" person wouldn't have a high powered car..nor the lifestyle that Nick was used to....Please take this into consideration!}
There is an old saying..."SPARE THE ROD...SPOIL THE CHILD"...I am sure that we are all guilty of this..but sadly Nick WAS in control of a high powered car & under the influence of alcohol...Nick should be found responsible!
Sorry to have been sooo long winded, I hope that others will comment..because I truly do not know how to charge him!
Cheers from "down-under"

I agree with Wayne and Bev... We all know that Nick did not even consider the consequences of his actions that night...BUT...My heart is with John & his family...BUT..he {John} should not have been "RACING"...SHOULD NICK be singled out because he has a FAMOUS DAD & is labelled as a "SPOILT BRAT"???...I don't have an answer to this..BUT I would like to make a comment:- "Most deaths in AMERICA occur from drugs/alcohol/speeding {ignoring the Gang related shootings}...SURE Nick was SPOILT ROTTEN...but should "Hulk" be held accountable for giving him a high powered car???...I think not...THE ONUS IS ON NICK who enjoyed the lifestyle of the "likes" of Paris Hilton etc who are the AMERICAN IDOLS {YUK!!!}

curious....exactly what is the accountablity of the various jurisdictions of Fl police who apparently refuse to apply the laws that apply to juveniles (under 21) driving in this state? As a resident, this is Florida law enforcement typical response to celebrity lawbreakers and their children and demonstrates to everyone once again how Florida's infamously corrupt local and state police departments and county attorneys can be bought or manipulated. Obviously if the police in even one county who caught this kid and charged him with a
DUI, which also has educational implications, the young marine wouldn't be in a vegetative state.

in addition, there are precedent cases in the state holding parents accountable for their child's actions in the case of drinking, driving, and other types of bad behavior..

Wayne, Bev and Joelie, I agree with all of you 100%

I still think that kids that do things like this should be made to spend time in an emergency room and look first hand at what they cause on our highways. No one is safe with spoiled rotten brats like this doing whatever they please on public road that we all have to drive on.

I think when Nick gets out, he should be made to help take care of his friend so many hours a week for at least the next 5 or 10 years. If we had judges doing that, maybe kids would think twice before doing the things they do. I also blame Nick's parents. They encouraged this.

It's hard to feel sorry for Terry Bolea (Hulk) in this situation. If you watched their VH1 show, their family appeared to be consumed with their own pride and arrogance. Bolea may try to "sugar coat" his remarks about the victim when he claimed that "God laid some heavy "stuff" on that dude" ...and then Nicholas Bolea referred to him as "a negative person" ...but those remarks are simply in-defensible and totally "class-less." Hate to say it, but the Bolea's "deserve exactly what they get!"

We have a son close to the same age and we have never nor will be EVER purchase or supply alcohol for him or his friends. What a stupid and negligent thing for them to do. To supply a teenage boy w/alcohol and sports car...what, was a can of gasoline watching a match taken? I think the Hulk needs to loosen his bandana, and how was he allowed to wear that thing in court anyway? If I went to court wearing a tiara they'd make me take it off, I'm sure. Why is this young man allowed to drive after so many offenses? He is endangering his passengers, fellow motorists, public and private property. So he saw a movie about "drifting" and his parents lavishly meet his whims, buy him a sports car and allow him to 'hone' his craft on public streets. I hope the courts see fit to suspend his license to drive for five years and his parents have to chaffeaur his spoiled butt around. When they're not available then he should have to ride a bike wearing a bright pink shirt that has why he can't drive a car and a picture of his victim on it. He should also have to write a check for one dollar and mail it to the family on the day it occured i.e. the accident happened on a Tuesday, then every Tuesday he has to write a check and mail it to the family. It's not the amount that's significant, of coarse, it's just one dollar, but to make him remember what he did and to be mindful. I saw that done on an HBO special where a young person did close to the same thing, but the victim was killed instead. It really made the guy crack, he tried to do everything to get out of that, but to no avail. I believe also that Hulk should be brought up on charges since he purchased the alcohol and the car. We need to start getting really tough on these kids. Who do they think they are, racing on public streets endangering us all for their playground?

Joelie,
You do too, feel sorry (sad).

You wouldn't be 'here' otherwise...

There's a time a place for everything, and what do you think of Nick on a legal track benefitting, or to benefit, his friend that he did permanent damage to, yet not intentionally.

Wouldn't that be nice.

Let's try to save some kind of grace in all of this tragedy we call life...

Dear Nancy,
Now that you're a real live mother I know you can relate.
I wasn't quite sure before, but after having twins I'm absolutely sure.

Isn't this a wonderful world and country...have you ever thought of maybe becoming a Republican?

I know you work hard, and I know how hard you love your babies.

I know you're smart and beautiful...

But you're bosses are...

Oh, nevermind...

I have two feelings on this situation. I do feel sorry as for what their going through. It has to be difficult. But I do believe the parents should take partial blame. I know Nick has a brain, and know's that it's illegal to be driving over the speed limit and underage drinking. BUT it doesn't help him none when his very own parents are buying them alcohol and basically encouraging him to drive fast. I had seen a video on TMZ few months back where someone called Linda Hogan out for saying she loved going fast, and she DENIED IT...but like in the video above she's admitting it. Maybe she needs to think before she speaks. Nick should do more time then what he's already got. Even though the victin isn't dead, Nick basically has killed his life by his poor choices. What I don't understand is, someone can shoot a police officer and get life in prison. But an avarage person could go right up to someone and kill that person and only get about 5 years. WHAT? A life is a life, no matter if you work for the law or not. IMO that makes one life more valuable then the other, and it shouldn't.
But what the Hogan's got is two spoiled brats, who've gotten everything handed to them, and Linda and Hulk should have been more parents then friends to their children.

Have you ever been 'petty' enough to try to make a Leo jealous?

Makes me think of "Moon Pie" lyrics.

OKay, Otay, Art...I know I'm done now, LOL.
