Hillary Clinton Wins: Sour Grapes Math!
Hillary Bean Counters Righteously Indignant…Declare Pop Vote Lead!
By Art Harris, (c) www.artharris.com
It’s all over but the crying.
Yet, to hear Hillary number crunchers spin it, Sen. Clinton walks away with the popular vote over Barack Obama in primaries that end Tuesday in Montana and South Dakota, AND against Sen. John McCain in her own face-off polls.
Just listen to the how-can-this-be-happening indignation from her bean counters in our clip…Hillary insisting she’s got blue collar white males and Hispanics in her hand, crucial demos that seem to be bolstered by victories in Puerto Rico and W. Virginia.
But she’s still losing—and fighting on. Why?
Well, well, well…there’s a personal reason no one has touched on, according to a longtime political reporter who has covered her, that may explain what many pundits cannot.
Never before has Hillary seen such undivided attention from husband Wild Bill, the beloved two-term Prez whose historic infidelities, and recent fumbles and miscalculations in her own campaign (including blowing up Clinton’s bridge to the black vote) cost her dearly.
“What people don’t understand and may not believe is that she really loves Bill, and loves the attention she’s getting from him,” says the reporter.
If she were to drop out, poof goes the magic dragon, the story goes.
So, even as she’s the loser, she keeps insisting she’s fighting on, and aims to keep preaching her vote-getter gospel to uncommitted super-delegates, her advocates claiming sour grapes math adds up to Hillary as the only Democrat who can beat McCain.
But Obama advisers diss her math scores, claiming The Big O leads in the popular vote count that has turned out more voters than any primary in presidential history, and left Obama the clear-cut party nominee. So back off, Hillary and get with the program or risk blowing up your own party, they say.
Many veteran party members, according to the New York Times, Hillary supporters among them, cannot fathom why she’s not making noise about going quietly into the night, with grace.
Is she working out an exit strategy that will give her the vice presidency with Barack, as some suggest? Does she really want it, or might there be a secret Bill agenda, the old hunting dog aiming to mark his spot as a husband with access to the power even a vice presidency might bring?
He’s a popular asset no matter how you slice it, yet a Vanity Fair article by New York Times veteran Todd Purdum raises serious questions about the company he’s keeping and uncharacteristic anger and mood swings aides are reporting after heart bypass surgery–a common symptom that often goes along with depression after surgery.
Clinton blasted the journalist as “sleazy” Monday, when Purdum also reported his medical phenom, a common syndrome, say experts, but possible jet-setter blowback was also raised by one long-time Clinton adviser who wanted to do “an intervention” to alert him to rumors swirling…only to be rebuffed by other aides.
No intervention happened, for whatever it was supposed to be for, and Hillary marches on, with stalwarts like Pa. Gov. Edward G. Rendell eloquently leaping to her defense Monday night with CNN’s Campbell Brown, touting Hillary as the bonafide best buy for Democrats who want to field a winner in the fall.
Even though he concedes she’ll be the loser if superdelegates hang for the Big O.

Art,
Stay out of politics. It doesn’t become you.
June 3rd, 2008 at 9:40 am
I would really love to see Hillary win, but it doesn’t look good. I think it’s time for a woman to be president. Obviously the men over years and years haven’t done much for us, so let a woman try. McCain scares me, he talks and moves his hands to much like Bush and Obama seems arrogant.
June 3rd, 2008 at 9:44 am
Ever since this campaign started, the media has been on a witch hunt with Hillary, and Art, you are no exception. It’s just the way it was with poor Howard. The media was parading every unsavory character they could find to grace their shows and the public bought it, except for a few of us who could see the truth for ourselves. Hillary knows now, how Howard felt, except they aren’t calling her the “m” word, but they are calling her everything else. You have all been on her back from the beginning. Big “men” picking on the “little” woman. Well, she has been taking it like the trooper she is, which is more than I can say for Obama or any other man. She’s the kind of strong person I want to run the country I’m living in. She has the experience and knowhow to do whatever has to be done. Obama has zilch. He ran unopposed for senator. Hmmmmm. Can you imagine what Obama and his supporters would say (or do) if Hillary chose to take her name off the ballot of some state and then have an equal number of those state’s delegates given to her? All hell would break loose. I can gaurantee that. This primary is being handed to Obama on a siver platter. I do not trust the voting system in this country anymore. I thought after Bush stole the presidency from Gore, that nothing like that would ever happen again, but it’s even worse this time. I have always believed a person should win by popular vote alone. That’s the only fair way. With the electoral college, you have to win certain states and the rest don’t mean anything. People are not voting because they know their votes won’t count. This isn’t right. This country is in such a mess.
Art, you have been down on Hillary and have not once said a single word about Obama and that black supremist, anti American, anti woman cult he belonged to. Not one word! Why is that Art? Is this being fair? I don’t think so. And here we all thought you were a fair minded person. Hmmmm.
Obama was finally was forced out of that cult, much to his chagrin and it certainly took long enough. You can better believe he hasn’t changed his views or beliefs on anything. He is just doing this (publicly) to become president and it was like pulling teeth to get him to finally leave. He will still be practicing these beliefs if he becomes president and anyone who voted for him will deserve what they get, but the rest of us will have to suffer also. Anyone who believes that since he’s left that cult, he will also leave their teachings and beliefs behind, are idiots. He didn’t stay in that cult for 20 years because he didn’t believe in what they taught. Wake up, people. I will repeat what I’ve said before, NO church of Christ would ever denounce another race, or the country, nor would they bash Hillary or any other person. This “church” is satanic, in my opinion. The Lord, doesn’t work this way, but satan does. The things that come out of Wright’s mouth and this other idiot “priest” is straight from the devil. This is a “church” of pure evil. People are so easily led astray. They can’t seem to use the brain God gave them. Look at Jim Jones and his followers. These people are just drinking another flavor of Kool-Aid, but it still has the same poison put in it.
It’s so unbelievable that so called Christians are going to churches like this one and thinking they are listening to the word of the Lord. Yikes! Do these people actually think they will be saved in the end? LOL. Too many people think that if you go to church every Sunday, that makes you a Christian, lol. It’s what you practice in your everyday life that makes you a Christian. Or not.
I think Obama is finally seeing that he will have to have Hillary on the ticket if he wants to become our next president, but he won’t have my vote. I will not vote for the likes of this person. I can’t even call him a man. If he doesn’t choose her, then he is even more stupid than I already think. If he does choose her, he will only be using her to become the next president. If I was her, I’d decline and if he does choose her, I hope she does exactly that.
Just think what he’ll do when he gets in the White House, if he gets into it. He’ll do whatever he wants to and the American people be damned, just the way he was taught to damn America and whites in his church. I have never seen such imbeciles as I’ve seen in this primary. Little lambs, being led to slaughter.
Can you imagine how the black people would feel if Hillary or McCain belonged to a church where the “minister” (and I use the term very loosly here) stood up in the pulpit and ranted and raved and acted like the idiots they are, and denounced the black race, and this country. There would be rioting, burning and looting to be sure, just the way they did when the cops that beat Rodney King got off.
I was upset when they got off, but was even more upset when the blacks took to the streets and broke out store windows and looted and burned things, the way they did during the race riots of the sixties. I remember seeing them drag an innocent white man from the cab of his truck who happened to be stopped at a traffic light and a crowd of blacks beat him to within a inch of his life, just because he was white. It didn’t matter to them that this man had done nothing but be stopped in traffic.
I have the distinct impression that if the delegates would somehow decide to choose Hillary, we would see rioting, looting, burning, and beating like we’ve never seen before.
Obama talks about change, but you wait until you see the kind of change he has in mind. One thing about McCain, he loves the country that he’s running to be the president of and he doesn’t have to be forced to wear a flag pin nor forced to finally, distance himself from a cult that Obama erronously calls a church. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is NO church of Christ. Christ would condem this church and everyone in it and when the end comes, he will.
I was thinking for a little while, that if Obama would choose Hillary to be his running mate, I’d possibly vote for him, but I’ve since changed my mind. I cannot in good conscience, vote for anyone who belonged for 20 years to this anti everything (but black) church. I can’t vote for anyone who is against the very country he is wanting to be president of. What is wrong with this picture and why can’t anyone see this picture? I can’t vote for anyone who has ties to Islamic terrorists and who sympathizes with the Palestinians. No way. No how.
Art, you and the rest of the media are doing a terrible disservice to the people of this country by trouncing Hillary every chance you get and giving Obama a free ride to the Whitehouse. I’ve never seen a candidate so maligned by the media from day one, before in my life. The media has helped Obama get a free ride, while at the same time, trashing Hillary. Just the way they trashed Howard and left the low down scoundrels spout their lies and hate toward Howard. You are doing the same thing to Hillary as they have done to Howard.
When I skimmed over this article, I wasn’t going to post at all, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, if I didn’t at least try to reason with people. But the sad thing is you can’t reason with some people, no matter how hard you try. Some people aren’t capable of reason. You just can’t get through some thick or sick minds.
I’ve finally decided: McCain gets my vote, if I vote at all. I hope all those who have voted for Hillary, will do the same, but if Obama listens to reason, he will choose Hillary. If he has even half a brain, (which I doubt) he’ll choose her only to get her votes. In other words, he’ll use her. I would love to see her decline, if he would choose her. That would please me very much.
So I have this to say: GO MCCAIN! LOL And I hope I can refrain from saying anything more on the subject.
June 3rd, 2008 at 9:44 am
Yikes! I didn’t realize my post was so long. Sorry about that.

You make an eloquent and powerful case for Hillary treated unfairly…and a welcome and appreciated voice on The Bald Truth! Thank you for your contributions. Art

Behind every great man there is a great woman.
Might even be more than one, LOL.
Reminds me of those Mormons, and that mess in Texas.
June 3rd, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Art, thank you for allowing me to have my say. I knew I was jumping in with both feet, lol. I get very passionate for the things I believe in. Thanks again and sorry it was so long, lol. I really don’t like McCain, but I don’t like Obama even more. This guy does not have enough experience for one thing and there are so many more serious issure I have about him that I do not and cannot endorse and his changing paddles in midstream just doesn’t cut it with me.
And yes, I do believe Hillary has been and is still being treated most unfairly. She doesn’t deserve the kind of treatment she has been getting. She really doesn’t.
June 3rd, 2008 at 5:45 pm
MR con artist has got everyone where he wants them.I will be very surprised if he does not pick patrick duval from Mass as his VP.
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:21 pm
Thank you Joni, keep telling it like it is.
And I am not a Hillary supporter, but I do admire her determination.
They should stop blaming the division in the party on her, Obama and his friends have done more to divide us along racial lines than anyone I can think of.
Art I was excited when you started giving us some articles on politices because in my mind you are an objective journalist.
But I am dissapointed that you sound just like another Obama koolaid drinker. You never even gave us some good arguments as to why you favor him so much.
The media and super delegates are the ones who chose the delegate for the democratic party, not the people. The people should be very concerned.
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:25 pm
should be “who chose the candidate for the democratic party”
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:33 pm
I guess we’ll all believe ‘it’ when she wins…
Like she earned ‘it’ or something.
LOL
I still think it’s all rigged!!!
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:35 pm
‘it’s'….
forgot, those all-important brackets…
Gizmos, and such…really don’t mean much.
June 3rd, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Barack is not going to put Hillary on the ticket! Now all of you that want that, go vote for McCain and remain poor!
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Joni,
Stop being so damn judgmental! You just blow my mind. Who made you judge and jury of people. Worry about saving your own soul and leave everybody else alone. I’m glad God is God and not man. We would be screwed!
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Thanks Freida, you’ve got me crying. I am the only one in my family that loves country music. Actually one of my sisters does too.
I used to make fun of Hillary, using this song. Somehow I cannot do that anymore.
One thing this campaign has done, it has made me see Hillary in a different light. How could we have been so cold to make fun of the humiliation she suffered? And still everybody keeps laughing at her, and always will, I suppose. And perhaps rightly so, apparently she did some bad things to many people, but still.
And yes, I can never vote for Hillary, but I can also not make fun of her anymore.
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Art, I did not mean to be disrespectful.
I thoroughly enjoy to read your work and always will, although I may not always agree with your viewpoint.
June 4th, 2008 at 12:15 am
I agree with Freida – JONI,YOU ROCK!!!
June 4th, 2008 at 12:44 am
Sorry for the snippy remark earlier. Just an avid Hillary fan and having a bit of trouble dealing with the end of a dream.
June 4th, 2008 at 1:00 am
Joni:
You DO rock!
June 4th, 2008 at 1:04 am
Sarafina:
You, too, rock! And you are right. Due to what has been going on, thanks to Obama, I admit I have been affected.
June 4th, 2008 at 1:09 am
One thing is for sure. If all the people who cling so tightly to their beliefs were to move to Africa, they would soon find out how unnacepted they would be there. I would like to hear what they have to say when they get kicked out of what they have been telling themselves is their “mother land” and their roots. They will definitely feel uprooted, come back to the US and kiss the ground.
June 4th, 2008 at 1:23 am
Indeed, Hillary has been put through so much humiliation from so many directions, it would please me to see her repay people’s “kindness” in any way she sees fit.
June 4th, 2008 at 2:46 am
EJ, do you actually think Obama can make us wealthier? LOL Now THAT is funny and you pretty much blow my mind too. I thought you were alot more intelligent than to fall for Obama. This person, is bad news. I can feel it. I trust my instincts and they’ve rarely failed me.
I may not be wealthy, EJ,( I don’t know why you keep mentioning wealth) but I have a nice little home with some land(all paid for), my family, my cats, friends, and I love to do simple things, like growing beautiful flowers, and alot of other things. I can probably enjoy these things more than most people can enjoy things that cost alot of money. And you know what? I probably appreciate the things I have so much more, when they have been very hard earned.
I don’t think I’m being judgemental, EJ, I’m just being realistic. I tell it like it is. Life’s too short to beat around the proverbial bush, lol.
So EJ, are you saying we should just worry about our own little souls and the hell with everyone else’s? That would be a tad selfish, wouldn’t it? Now what kind of person would do that, LOL? Obama, possibly? I’m beginning to see why you like him.
I do believe the media are the ones who have helped him get to where he is right now. They can sway anyone who can’t think for themselves, just like they did when they were tearing dear Howard apart. We all saw first hand the power they wield and how they influence minds that cannot think for themselves, and believe me, I had no idea there were so many of those floating around out there. Now they have done the same with Hillary and are still doing it to Bill. I have to wonder who will be next.
Obama has the media behind him for some reason and he has alot of money behind him for probably the same reason. I’m just not sure what that reason is, but it greatly disturbs me and should everyone.
We know nothing good about this person and everything bad and yet people are following him just the way Jim Jones’s followers did him. I believe with all my heart, Obama is up to no good, not for the American people anyway. I do believe he has an agenda. I think it possibly involves Iran and also Kenya in general and definately the black race in particular.
I want him to answer the question John Roberts put to him a while back and that is what he would do about Iran, if things got worse there. He refused to answer it and as usual, he wasn’t pressed for an answer (go figure). He also refused to answer the next question. Hmmmmm. You can better believe, if I was the one asking the question, it WOULD get answered. The media just lets it all slide by.
I have to wonder what all Obama has been buying these days with all that money that has been pouring into his campaign, and who is behind all that money. Could any of it be coming from Rezko’s rich Iranian buddy?
There is a definate movement to get Obama into the White House, by hook or by crook, and I want to know who all is behind it and why. What is the media getting out of their strong support of Obama?
My husband said something about NBC/MSNBC having financial holdings of some sort in Iran. Art, do you know if this is true? I haven’t heard that. I don’t know what show he saw that on. They are the ones who have really been supporting him, shamelessly, all the while, bashing Hillary, also shamelessly.
Obama would never have gotten past first base, if it hadn’t been for whomever all is giving all those millions to his campaign and for the support of the media. Why are they pushing so hard to get him in? Why aren’t they trying to find out who is behind all this money? I have questions and I want answers and he had better start giving us some. He was virtually unknown and has accomplished nothing to date and has no experience, and there he is, being driven right up, almost, to the White House door. Hmmmmmm.
A while ago I had seen a video on youtube where he was talking to a crowd and he started yelling at an old lady who had asked him a question. I couldn’t hear what she asked him, but he yelled and then apologized, but I don’t think he ever did answer the question. I mean, he was really hateful to her. I am seeing a barely concealed anger in this man and it scares me. I see it in his face and I can feel it. It is almost palpable. And his wife? Yikes! If he makes it, they sure won’t be bringing any class into the White House, lol. Michelle needs to go to a finishing school (if they still have them) and have some speech lessons also. And maybe they both could use an anger management class or two.
He never answers the questions. He “doesn’t want to speculate” lol. John Roberts wasn’t asking for speculation, he was wanting to know exactly what Obama would do. Hillary answered the question right away. Any question anyone ever asked her, she had an answer for. Not Obama. He refuses to answer. Maybe because he doesn’t know the answer or doesn’t want us to know his answer. And people want this man running this country?
No one should vote for him until he answers all the questions put to him. I am still holding out a glimmer of hope along with Hillary that the delegates will decide she is the one who can beat McBush in the fall and throw their support over to her. Wow, wouldn’t that cause a riot? I doubt very much it will happen, but as Frieda says, there is always “hope”. LOL
Well, let the games begin and the fireworks start. Again, Art, I apologize for the length of this post. I think I need a muzzle, lol.
June 4th, 2008 at 2:50 am
Sarafina (Joy), you are right about Obama and his friends being as much to blame for dividing the party. Hillary has as much right to run it to the end as he does and I’ll be very dissapointed if she doesn’t run it to the end.
June 4th, 2008 at 2:53 am
One more thing, Sarafina, you are right. We should be very concerned about the way this voting has been conducted. It has been anything but fair. Fair to Obama, but not to Hillary.
I really do believe they should do away with everything except the popular vote. That’s the way voting should be. It’s the only fair way for everyone.
June 4th, 2008 at 9:28 am
Hillary lost the damn race! That’s all it is to it, Now we can move in whatever direction we choose. She’s not the first person that’s ever lost something. Be a good sport and just say she lost. LOL
June 4th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Joni,
I probably shouldn’t be, but I’m very shocked at your attitude. You’re always pitting blacks against whites. I’m not going to dignify that black/white bs. because that’s exactly what You’re spewing, hateful bs. You are wrong in saying that being a christian depends on what you do in your everyday life. You need to go read the word and stop taking other people’s word for things. You’re totally confused. Before judging others, ask yourself if you’re christian or not, and what makes you think you are or aren’t. If your heart and mind could talk, what would we learn from them about you? I probably already know, unfortunately. LOL
June 4th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
As usual EJ wins hands down.
I think she knows, I think she’s been hurt.
But you know what the President of the United States is mostly just a face, I think, except some of them also have beautiful bodies.
So EJ what do you think about simple respect?
You know I believe in babies, and gosh I sure would hate to see Obama end up like Kennedy, he has 2 little ones.
Sure is a scary world we live in…what will Obama and the Democrats do…bring all those men and all that equipment home and then have to send ‘it’ all back?
I think we might as well keep a little reminder ‘over there.’
June 4th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
…oh, I forgot ‘even if it takes more than 100 years.’
That would be ‘a generation’s attemp’ to bring or deliver peace to a place that’s so hot…people I think, should find a better place to live…some places on this earth aren’t fit for habitation, just near survival, so let them pump oil, but maybe they should find a better place for their family.
Reminds me of those ‘rigs’ in the Gulf of Mexico…women aren’t out there having babies for the ‘price’ of pleasure.
It’s just not a good place for women and children…in so many parts of this world.
June 4th, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Let’s get one thing straight here and now. If Barack stepped aside right now and handed the nomination over to Hillary, she wouldn’t win. I can guarantee you that and you can take it to the bank. With all the damage she’s done, she would have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning. As I said before, each individual has a right to do with his or her vote what they wish. Joni, don’t get me wrong, I don’t care who you vote for. To me, that’s a personal choice. Threatening to not vote does what? LOL. It’s silly. I’m not always talking about wealth or at least I don’t mean to insinuate that I have more than someone else. That’s not my intention to do that. I’m not saying that Barack can make anyone wealthy, all I’m saying is more years of the same old thing is definitely not going to enhance your way of life. There is more to life than just breathing. We know what the last eight years have yielded us, nothing. This is my last comment on this subject, so don’t bother to refer to me in your response.
June 4th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Dear Art,
Those crowds of supporters for Obama, rather remind me of those screaming women that loved “The Beattles.”
What a shame, to think we don’t have crowds like that when our service men and women come home.
June 4th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
EJ, what on earth is going on with you? You have become a nasty piece of work. What have I done to you personally to get this crap from you?
And being a Christian certainly DOES involve in what you do in your daily life.
EJ, are you going to one of “those churches” like Obama did?
I’m not pitting one race against another. Obama and his cohorts are doing that.
You are a bit mixed up these days EJ. I will pray for you, lol.
June 4th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Joni, I had the same concern about Obama’s anger, that many times seemed to linger just behind the surface. And I did not even see the youtube video you were talking about!
He does not like criticism and always acted like every thing said about him is unfair. Even so, no-one likes criticism, but the way we react to criticism is very telling of our character.
I believe we have till November to speak out against Obama. After that we should be very careful.
I have a feeling he won’t tolerate critcism and I see some new laws coming that will negatively affect freedom of speech in this country. I also see some retaliation against those who now so freely speak out against him.
I have seen too many “leaders” like Obama in my lifetime to be fooled by him. He reminds me of Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. Believe me Mugabe was as charming and smooth talking as Obama.
Today they can still not get rid of him, because his friends in SADC (Southern Africa Development Community) is still so charmed by him, they cannot take firm decisions to get him out, even though the people have spoken in the recent election. All that matters is Mugabe, and opposition is not allowed. We may even end up having the constitution changed to give Obama a longer term in office, sounds far-fetched now, believe me I have seen all this before.
It is fair to suspect that there are some people who are trying to force Obama into the white house come hell or high water and we can just wonder WHY?
Obama said sometime last year we should get involved in Sudan. I heard last night that a terrorist group in Sudan wants to be taken of the terrorist list. Please do yourself a favor and find out who is fighting who in Sudan. I won’t say, do not want to be labeld as anti-youknowwhat. I was thinking, do not worry, soon Obama will be president and you will be taken of that list. That is the kind of foreign policy that he is openly proposing, but we are also not allowed to discuss his proposed foreign policy.
Let’s do all the praying and speaking out now why we still can.
After that if he ends up as president let’s be honest and acknowledge that God knows best and He is in control. He appoints leaders and he also removes leaders, provided we do the praying.
June 4th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
should read: Lets do all the praying and speaking out now WHILE we still can.
June 4th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
Completely off topic – Gosh Americans can sing! Heavens! Whether its country, soul, rythm and blues, pop, gospel, they do it well.
I saw on another board that Beth loves country music. If you are here Beth, please follow Freida’s link, you will find some of the good old days there.
What happened to Charley Pride and Jim Reeves, over in Africa my parents and most everybody else loved them. I grew up with their music… Lorretta Lynn and Convey Twitty, Dolly and Porter, Tammy Wynette and George Jones..
Ok Art, I am sorry. Perhaps we need a country music forum
June 4th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
Art, I hope you didn’t think I was being too hard on you, but I knew you could take it, lol. I was just getting so tired of hearing Hillary being bashed no matter where I turned. I can’t even remember if anyone ever said anything nice about her. I guess when you see someone really seeming to care about the average person, you just hate to hear that person being bashed for it. And you know what? She took it with class. Alot of class. Can you imagine how Obama would have taken all of that crap? Maybe we’ll get to see very soon, lol.
Also it reminded me too much of the way the media went for Howard’s throat and I thought: they are doing it all over again, only now it’s Hillary. Who knows who will be their next victim.
Maybe it will be Obama, LOL.
I still think of the three, she is the best one for the job.
As always, Art, thanks for letting me have my say, lol.
June 4th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
Just heard on the news now that Hillary is throwing her support behind Obama. But apparently unlikely that Obama will consider her for the VP. At least she is doing the right thing, some may say.
June 4th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
Art I was just being silly about the country music forum, its ridiculous.
I am just being nostalgic. I am in a marriage where there is no tolerance for country music! I am starving! Me and my sister are the only ones who inherited my parents love for country music, but we have been ridiculed for that all our lifes by the rest of the family!
We only had the white radio stations to listen to for the longest time in SA and they loved to play country, that is how we were introduced to country music.
I recently read in a local newspaper about an Iraqi translater that asked his American friend to send him some country music CDs. It seems country music even made it over to Iraq.
I promise Art I will never get off topic again, provided Freida stays on topic too.
June 5th, 2008 at 1:09 am
EJ, Hillary lost. Does that make me a good sport now? LMAO
Also, are you related to Jangie?
June 5th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Joni,
Why would you ask me if I’m related to Jangie? I don’t know who or what you’re talking about. I get the message that you hate blacks, what else is new? I think it’s funny. It doesn’t matter if you say Hillary lost or not, SHE LOST! This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. We all lose some and we win some. I’m still trying to figure out what your mind and heart would tell us if they could talk. LOL, LOL.
Freida,
Are you still sitting down? lol. Fewer and fewer are. LOL

Sarafina, I don’t think what you have said is too farfetched at all. You can almost see the writing on the wall.
One thing about Hillary, she does everthing with real class. Michelle has her work cut out for her in that department, lol.

Sarafina, I was trying to find that youtube video of Obama shouting at that elderly woman who had asked him a question, and can’t find it. It seems to have been taken off as so many others have been taken off. This was a legitimate one (not some of these that people make themselves). It was him at some rally and he was shouting at her. I was so shocked. I replayed it incase I had not seen or heard it right, but sadly, I had seen and heard it right. Now it’s no longer there. I looked through the first 13 pages of sites for videos of Obama and couldn’t find it. There were many more pages, but I have a feeling that it’s not there anymore.
I heard on some blog I happened upon a few weeks ago, that alot of things have been disappearing, just as the word “black” disappeared in the 10 points of black theology in that “church’s” website.
You are right in saying that we won’t be able to talk freely. That has already been happening and will only get worse if he gets in. Anytime anyone says anything about him he takes it the wrong way. This guy needs to get over himself already! We need someone who can roll with the punches because he’s going to be getting plenty of those along the way. Just think, if he makes it to the White House, he can start a war anytime he takes something the wrong way, even if it wasn’t meant that way. He is a very negative person and that is not good.

Sarafina:
Enjoy the music you like. I, too, like country music because the words are so moving. I rarely understand the unintelligable words (if there are any) when there is yelling and screaming in most other music. Opera screaming, too, would drive me mad.

Dear EJ,
Yes, I’m still sitting down on my rear end instead of standing up for what is right, I guess.
You know I just don’t want to pay anymore taxes, LOL…so I’m a Republican.
I don’t even believe in most charities, ’cause instead of the people that need the help and the hand-up, the persons that are involved in those organizations have jumped through so many hoops, and trip on so much red tape…and by the time they get done paying for the advertising there’s nothing left, except what went into ‘their’ pockets.
I was raised to be ‘prejudice’ I think, and I fought with my Dad about it and we had early debates, when I was a young teen…and one of his best friends was a great, big black cop…yet, I know my Dad was really just trying to protect me.
Hey, by the way, my sister-in-law is…oh, nevermind…
I didn’t even hate the man that once told me I did because he said, “You hate me because I’m black.”
Yet, he was convinced I did. And, I think he had a hard life and probably harder than I could ever imagine.
Sure is nice to talk to think that Obama might inspire a nation to be more tolerant, and yet, I really just think he’s the ‘prettiest.’

EJ, So sorry to inform you, but, I DON’T hate blacks, not in the least. Some people I don’t like just happen to be black, and even more people I don’t like, just happen to be white. Go figure, lol. But you go ahead and think whatever your narrow little mind allows you to think. I really don’t care.
Also that didn’t make sense what you said about “it doesn’t matter if I say Hillary lost or not, SHE LOST!” I really am getting worried about you, EJ.
You also seem to want to know what is in my heart and my mind.
Well EJ, for over a year now, I’ve been stating here exactly what is in my heart and on my mind. I’ve poured my heart out in my support of Howard on here, for everyone to see. I don’t know what is so hard to understand about that and now I’m pouring my heart out in my support for Hillary and how I feel about Obama on what I’ve seen of him and the things I’ve learned about him and the things he’s said. Just the way we feel about Larry Birkhead from what we saw and heard of him, that is the way I’ve come to feel about Obama. See, it’s really simple.
I don’t keep dark things locked up in my mind or heart. They are all out here for anyone to see.
What is in my heart is also in my mind and vicey vercey, as Fred Flintstone would say, LOL.
I happen to be a very aboveboard and forthright person EJ. You can ask any member of my family about that. I tell it like I see it and feel it. No holds barred. I don’t keep anything hidden. You sound so much like Obama. When someone doesn’t like him (for very legitimate reasons) then that person just has to hate blacks, LOL. Go on believing your own little fairy tales EJ, just don’t bother me with them anymore, because this has become very tiresome.

Freida,
I have no problem with you being a republican. That’s your choice and that’s what democracy is or should be about. It is just wrong all the way around for people to use race as the main factor for voting against someone. My parents never taught me to hate or dislike anyone just because. I was here back in the day when things were’nt very pleasant for the blacks, but that didn’t make me hate the white man. Nothing could or can. I know we’re not yet where we should be as black people, but thank God, we’re not where we use to be. Take care of yourself and always strive to be the best you can be. That’s what I do and I don’t care what my friend, Joni says. LOL. I know who I am.

Joni:
One of the questions people should ask themselves (re your June 4th comment) should shake people up and ask themselves how in the world did a young man, still wet behind the ears, manage to attract such unbelievable contribution. They have said Obama’s supporters give small but often to his campaign. How many people can make millions and millions accumulate so fast out of “small” donations? If that is true, he should put his talents and Harvard know-how to better use by teaching others how to develop that rare gift.
June 20th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Isabel,
I agree. We need to find out who is really funding his campaign, I’ve said that before. Why isn’t the media asking these questions? Why aren’t they asking any questions concerning Obama? They would be if it was anyone else. Why is this guy being escorted to the White House. Something is really wrong here.

I heard on the news that a day or so ago, the man went to some shindig with the Hollywood crowd where the plates were $30,000.00(!) and Ogama ended up collecting or raising $5 million. If I could stomach the guy, I would befriend him so he could teach me his fantastic abilities to raise money.
July 6th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Isabel,
I saw that too and thought, wouldn’t it be nice if he would do that for a charity also. Just think of all the good this guy could do for so many charities since he can bring in so much money in so short a time.
I just don’t understand what his appeal is and why so many people are so blinded by him and taken in by him. Where have their brains gone?
It sort of reminds me of all these stupid followers of Jim Jones and his kind. And he reminds me of Jim Jones and others like him. That sure is alot of kool-aid he’s been handing out, and alot of kool-aid drinking going on. Scary.
