Sex Ed in Tampa

She’s a teacher on a mission, and it’s not hooked on phonics.
Now we know why Stephanie Ragusa was so popular with boys at her Tampa middle school; at least two students became her boy toys, say police, who busted the 28 year old brunette again Tuesday and charged her with two counts of sex with a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious battery, all stemming from alleged flagrante with a 15 year old boy.
It’s not the first time. In March, Ragusa bonded out of jail after she was charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery with a 14 year old boy while teaching at Davidsen Middle School.
After her cell phone was seized on a search warrant after her first arrest, investigators purportedly found a March 10 text (book) message romance with one boy that lead them to heartthrob numero two.
Released on a $22,500 bond Tuesday night, Ragusa was suspended without pay, pending a Hillsborough County School board vote. She also stands accused of serving alcohol, making us wonder if the local water might be 80 proof.
Reports of inappropriate student teacher liasons are percolating in Tampa, with three local teachers accused of sex with students, and a band teacher recently charged with having sex with at least one underage girl.

You got to know,in today, world, there are very few if any roll models for the younger generation. The adults are to busy trying to stay young, remember,we got to be friends with our kids, not parents. If it is put in front of them, what boy.would say no,To get a teacher in bed,Boy that would make him stud of the year. I will say this again,as I said many times before,it comes down to parents, taking the time,to TALK,LOVE,AND BE PART OF THERE LIVES,you know, there are so many experts, always giving there advice, yet this country is in a MESS, We have not yet learned how to deal, with human being problems, these teachers need help,IF it was me ,I WOULD DISMISS THE TEACHER,AND COURT ORDERED MENTAL HEALTH,PRISION IS NOT THE ANSWER,

Anybody who abuses a child for anything is a disgrace to our society and we need to wake up before it is too late.
This is such an obvious breach of trust, and horrible act of abuse,to a child.
One wonders why the school system does not have something to protect the children from preditors like this. Unless the person who hired these so called teachers was a preditor themselves.
This act will only teach these children to re offend with someone else later on.
I know the affects of this abuse because a very good friend of mine was abused at the hands of a teacher when he was younger, during his life he suffered drug issues, depression almost commited suicide many times, broken marriage and detachment from his own son, he was never an offender however he buried this information for years and on his fortieth birthday he and a group of friends came forward to sue the school system and won some money. Famous case in Montreal with a private school system ..
However this money does not bring back your innocence, or trust, or years lost thinking about your self esteem or what you did to perpuate this when you did nothing because you knew not how to say NO because authority spoke louder than words, and forced themselves on you.
Perhaps these teachers should be questioned if they were ever abused to make sure they were not victims either at the hands of someone else in authority.
Here is good game plan, teachers have to be finger printed, go through a barage of psycological testing and see a psychiatrist to make sure that they are not harbouring sexual needs of a preditor waiting to react. These tests have to be done yearly unless they are given a clean bill of health and if they step over the line they are immediatly arrested placed in jail, and lose their license.NO trials for two years let them rot in prison. These are our children we are talking about, they need to be protected till age 18. If we don’t protect them, who will?

Was this woman back teaching again after getting out of jail? If she was, why on earth was she?
Anyone that does this sort of thing, should NEVER be allowed to teach again, anywhere. They should never be allowed near children. I think it’s awful the sort of people we have in our schools, supposedly teaching our children and supposedly setting an example. These people aren’t just in our schools either, they seem to be everywhere. Kids should be protected, not preyed upon.
What is wrong with people? It seems the whole world is going crazy.

Hi Art
What the hell is the matter with ppl today? I guess she was suspended with out pay as she should be. Why was she ever teacching again any how??
Every time I read the paper all I can do is shake my head and say exactally what Joni #3 said.
It’s a very sick world out there today and things that used to happen in movies or horror movies are part of our everyday life now. Very sad!!!!!!!
I have a hard time trying to understand what a grown woman would want with a boy that age, for some reason I just can’t wrap my head around that one. butterfly is right SICK!!!!!

Well said Missy & Joni. A society that doesn’t protect our innocent children is a society in a downward spiral.

“She’s a teacher on a mission, and it’s not “Hooked On Phonics.”
Shouldn’t there be QUOTATION MARKS in that sentence?
LOL
