With Sen. Hillary Clinton blasting away at Sen. Barrack Obama on the eve of the crucial Pennsylvannia primary to rescue what she considered, once, hers for the asking âthe Democratic party nod for Presidentâwe had to ask maybe the top political correspondent in the country, CNNâs John King, do they actually hate each other?Â
âWhile they publically say theyâre friends when this started, the question is will they be friends when this is over,â the veteran politico told The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview in Las Vegas, where we caught up with him at a National Association of Broadcasters campaign roundtable.
âWithout a doubt, itâs more personal,â said King, perhaps anticipating a vicious final hours between the Barack-Hillary teams before Tuesdayâs vote.
âIn public, no matter what they say about each how much they like each other, itâs a bit of a stretch. “In the end, the question is, not just personal, but what do they think about their political future.
“For the moment, their future is now, in the trench warfare of a crucial showdown in Pennsylvannia, where Clinton was favored and took off the gloves in the final hours to accuse Barack of taking money from lobbyists who rule Washington he has vowed to reign in.
âThere are increasing tensions between them,â observed King, âraising questions about each otherâs character, trustworthiness, credibility, but by historical standards itâs bruises, not (yet) bloody.
Neither has hinted at burying the hatchet. Not yet, says King, reporting deep rifts between camps that feel up close and real personal.
âThe question for the Democratic party is, are they bruises or open wounds? “The answer to that question is an unknown right now because the (only) person or persons who can heal them, or decide not to, are Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama.
“One will come out on the losing side and face the difficult question, âWill they step out of the race?âThen the question is what do they do next? Do they shake a hand or do they actively campaign? Do they call their fundraisers, interest groups and constituency groups? Do they tell their staffs, âno nasty post game stories? Shut it down, unify and go?â
âWe donât know the answer to that. Theyâre both grown-ups. They both care about the party and want the party to win, but when you invest a lot of money, energyâŠthis is an exhaustive process.â

No, they are both arrogant spoiled brats and will continue to undermine each other. They do not care about the party or the people, they only care about themselves and their huge egos.

I don’t think they’ll ever be friends and I blame Hillary for that. I don’t think she’s gotten the message that most of us have woken up! We see how the negative focus on everything BUT the issues got us eight years of GWB, and the public is now focused on ISSUES as opposed to gossip! What she’s also been too blind to see, is that IF she wins, she’ll need Obamas supporters come Nov to defeat McCain, and if people see her as having won dirty, they’ll stay home on election day. Obama has been smart enough to see that if HE wins, he’ll need Hillarys supporters come Nov and for the most part has tried to refrain from mud slinging unless she brings up something that can’t be ignored.

I have to agree with you jangie.I often wondered why he said nothing about some things she said or had her campaign members say.For the most part once something is said it is to late even if the person is repremanded the misinformation is out there. From what I have read Hillat doesn’t think she needs anyone she thinks it is her turn and IMO she thinks if she can’t win no one in her party will.

I have a question, Art.
Who’s doing Hillary’s and Obama’s job while they are, you know, busy ‘with all this other stuff?’
Guess their real jobs as Senators, are very demanding.
How many hours a week do they work?
How much do they make?
Hey, Art, maybe you and your staff could tell us.

More people die in traffic accidents in the United States, than die fighting that war in Iraq and Afghanistan combined!
Why don’t ‘we’ know the statistics?
Or, rather why doesn’t ‘The Media’ tell us the “Bald Truth.”
Gosh, sure is good to think we might be making a difference in the Middle East.
Gosh, it’s scarier to think of my teenager getting a ‘Driver’s License.’

Dear Art,
No doubt John loves you!
So many words so little time, can’t beat ‘em join ‘em, right?
Give John a few more years to lose his hair, LOL.

CNN needs to give this guy a chance to ’serve’ us in the Middle East.
Or, maybe give him a little ’seat time’ with a Blue Angel.

Dear Art,
Please forgive me, LOL…I’ve just gotta make one more wisecrack…
Is he related to Larry, not Birkhead, but Larry King?
I see no resemblance, but he does seem to have Richard Gere-type eyes.
Awe looks, and he doesn’t even need makeup!

Neither have enough delegates to win the nomination. And since there are voters remaining in states who have not held primaries - they should have the opportunity to vote for names on the ballet. The Obama compaign would love for Hillary to just quit, to make it an easy win without the work. The DNC would like for someone to quit so they do not have to deal with an inadequate system that has created the problems these candidates are dealing with. It is the system that is causing the long DEMOCRATIC process. If Obama was the winner - the race would have ended already. Oh yea, blame everything on her because YOU have not taken the time to keep up with all of the political news and make pathetic and uninformed statements in an attempt to make idiots believe you speak with any real knowledge or authority.

Sure is good to be back.
This ‘John’s’ forhead isn’t quite high enough for a great big brain.
Might as well apologize before I begin.

Hilliary’s going to win, it’s destiny, LOL.
