It was a first in Anna Nicole Smith FOX News media coverage, and a surprise to a guest who expected a knife in the heart, or stab in the back, on a show that’s been a revolving door for attackers calling Howard K. Stern every name in the book.
Hold the presses: was that Stern, Anna Nicole’s executor and lawyer, live and on the air with host Greta Van Susteren Tuesday? Indeed, only this time it was different.

As I told Greta, I respect her for letting Howard speak first and tell her how he felt her show, her guests,about the statements that have been instrumental in the media slaughter of his reputation. She was gracious in letting him get that off his chest. Whether it served to change anything between them, time will tell. I certainly hope she doesn’t ruin things by letting her “legal panel” on to make their crappy remarks. If that happens, I will take back all the nice things I said about her.
She was fair, and Howard and Lin Wood were straightforward in their answers. Both men are honorable and strong. I have SOO much respect for the way LW steps up and express his opinion of John O’Quinn. lol A Titan against one who wishes he were.
Although Greta tried to bait Howard with the video snippet involving Anna’s mother, he was too smart to bite, it just made the Mom look bad. Still, he didn’t say anything negative about her, as he had reason to do. He is a true gentlemen, but it must give him a tummy ache to hold back.
But then, maybe he wouldn’t because of his love and respect for Anna. (Tummy aches are what happens to me when I hear or read political slurs).
I smiled when Howard stated the reasons for handling the paternity test snafu…because that’s what I have said all this time. He handled it very intelligently, of course.

Howard handled the situation just like I knew he would. He looked so good. Right up front, he told her how he felt about things that had been allowed to be said about him on her show. He was very forceful in his thoughts, but not overly. I think he did a superb job. I think he’s beginning to heal, Lord knows it will take a great while. I very much feel his pain over his loss. He’ll be fine.

I think that is what Howard needed was to get on the airways especially in an unfriendly environment I think to get his word out - this proves that he has nothing to hide. I am still amazed at how there are people out there who still act with complete malice towards him (bloggers and website owners) and it’s unfortunate IMO.

I feel like Howard’s grief over the loss of Anna and Daniel still weighs heavily on him. It saddens me.

I just felt like letting out a big warhoop after watching Howard last night. YeeeeeeeHawwwww!!!!! LOL
I was elated that Howard said the things he said right at the start. They all needed to be said and he did it. Of course he did it very gentlemanly, as one would expect from Howard.
When I saw that clip of Virgie and what she said, it made me sick! How can a mother who lost her daughter and grandson sit there and gloat because Howard also lost them and then smirk about it? She is one demented woman. It was almost as if she was glad they were all gone just so she could feel good about the fact that Howard had lost so much. Yikes!! The devil is truly alive and working through alot of people on this earth.
Virgie and gang are a big pack of rats. As you have all noticed, they all stick together with their own kind, lol. They will all go down together and I can’t wait to see that. I would think they are probably all a bit worried about now.
I was also glad to hear Lin, talk about Seidlin. I know so many people thought he was funny, but that was a very serious matter and a man was grieving and that was not the time to be clowning around. No one seemed to care about Howard’s feelings and that he had just lost the love of his life and only wanted to bury her where she wanted to be, beside her son. It was very obvious that he was the ONLY one grieving and still is. I was apalled the way Seidlin behaved and the things he said. It really made me sick and angry. He was a complete disgrace.
Try to put yourself in Howard’s shoes and see how you would feel, if you lost your loved one and had to go through that farce. I’m sure you wouldn’t think it was so funny then.
I think Howard did admirably and I knew he would. He truly is a real man and a gentle man. I could tell he was telling the truth and anyone who says otherwise, just come to me about it, lol.
Art, you said Greta can be fair. I’m sure she can, but she was anything but fair for over a year to Howard and that, to me is unforgivable. I also noticed she never apologized to him, at least not in public. It takes a real person to do that. I don’t believe any of these people will publically apologize to Howard. Howard is far superior to all of them.
Howard I wish you the best of everything. Don’t ever change for anyone. You are a really decent man and we are all proud of you. You stick to your guns and don’t bow down to anyone and that’s as it should be. Too many people will do anything for a dollar, that has been proven with so many in this saga. You are a strong man, and an honorable man. Take care dear one.

Greta was “well aware” of Opri wanting to try this in the press. LOVE IT that she actually said Larry and Greta discussed Opri’s PRO BONO immediately after obtaining her services.

Howard looked a little strange. His face had no emotions thru out the hour. I thing he did a great job but I don’t know why he gave Greta the interview. This must have made her look good to her boss at fox news to land an interview with HKS.

Dear Howard:
You did fantastic and I am so very happy for you that you were finally able to tell your side…and you did it with class! It is clear that you have been traumatized and it is my hope that this will be a new beginning of healing process for you. Please continue to take the high road and stay strong. I am personally very proud of you for how you have handled yourself under the very, unfair circumstances you have been dealt! No one should have to deal with what happened to you in the media…and because of what did happen Howard, I have faith it will never happen again.
I have seen a change in how the media handles such cases and that is a good thing. I do believe that Greta gave you a fair platform last night and for that, your supporters are thankful.
Howard, when you awake this morning, take your smile out of your back pocket and put it on your face! It is a new day! Anna would want you to be happy and today can be a new beginning. Focus on the happy times you had with Anna and Daniel and the healing will happen. For if you can find the joy in each and every day and embrace it, you will truly find happiness again one day.

I thought the interview started out okay, and I was certainly happy to see Howard tell Greta to her face how he felt about her serving as M/C for all of the haters with second agendas that she had on her show. The first 15 minutes were okay.
After that I felt like Greta reverted to form asking inappropriate questions that she doesn’t ask of others. She doesn’t ask Larry how he supports himself, and she doesn’t ask GBT about his criminal past. She allows the Howard haters to speak at will but she interrupted Howard several times.
Still I am glad that Howard faced her. I would have preferred him on LKL but that might still happen. What will be interesting is to see how Greta handles the haters the next time they appear on her show.
Howard said he had a plan for his future but declined to elaborate. Frankly I hope he gets a BIG chunk of change from the Rita Cosby suit and lives happily ever after.
I am not a huge fan of Larry but I appreciate him allowing to remain part of DL’s life.

I just love Howard and Lin Wood. Howard was great and let the world know what REALLY happened. I think Anna came down from heaven and sat right next to him the whole time. He was not alone.

Hi Greta,
Howard and Lin Wood did a great job on your program last night. Thank you for being fair to Howard and allowing him to talk.
I will never understand why the media takes such a delight in trying to ruin people’s lives just so they can get ratings for their shows, I really don’t believe that the majority of viewers need or want this type of television.
What are you the media teaching our future generation? We are trying to teach our children that to bully is wrong and yet we see so called professional/respectable adults bully and treat people with cruelness, unfairness and what is perceived as hate everyday on our airwaves. Then many low self-esteem hateful people see this in the media and they follow the leader and they take it to the internet where they post their hate and filth while they continue to try to ruin people the same way that they saw their media stars do it.
The problem is that the majority of these posters don’t seem to have the intelligence to realize that what they are doing is wrong, and they don’t seem to have the ability to stop because they think they are so smart, and helpful, and by this time they have gained online friendships and have joined a social network with other like-minded individuals.
People should not be too surprised that children are bullying each other on-line. If adults don’t know that it is wrong and they can’t seem stop themselves; how can we expect children not to follow their lead and understand that it is wrong?
I hope that there will soon be strict laws in place where on-line posters have the same accountability for their words as people in general society do. There are lawsuits in the works now aimed at online posters who have been forced to take responsibility for their words, and hopefully there will be some filed on behalf of what paid and unpaid posters have posted 24/7 for the last year+ about Howard K. Stern.
Just look at your unmoderated board Greta and you can easily pick out the mean, cruel and hateful posters that don’t have the decency to control themselves. Many of the negative comments regarding this interview with Howard are by posters who have been spewing their filth and accusations on the following message boards:Topix, TMZ, Crimelibrary, Court TV etc., (these people are easy to recognize) for several months now, and they are the reason that many of us have chosen to defend a man online after we saw what the media and message boards were doing to him. IMO these people are following and some are working for the person whom Lin Wood said last night on your program was trying to fulfill his agenda and win his case which Howard has filed against him.
Most of us care for our fellow man and we don’t like to see hate directed at people with the outcome to see a single person bullied publicly to the point that they won’t be able to survive in our world. Where is the common decently in the media?
I believe that the media will continue to target people unfairly and many won’t be as strong as Howard and it is just a matter of time before one of their targets will take their own life because they just cannot survive this type of cruelness. Sad but true.

i am glad to finally hear from howard. i have always believe in him. from the start i never for one moment thought he had anything to do with anna’s and daniel’s death. they were his family. he was their family. i could see the love he had and still has for anna and daniel. i could see the sadness in his eyes. i hope in time he can find a way to move on with his life.
i believe greta tried to trip up howard when he was talking about the time anna was in the hospital in april or may of 2006. i believe he took her there to be treated for magaines. at that time she was already reducing her medication thru guidelines set by her doctor. larry and howard were both right, but larry thru his attorney wanted to make anna out to be a drug addicted. but she was there for headaches and anna continued with reducing her medications while she was there. he is also right about when u are in the hospital they are constantly taking your blood, so if she was taking extra meds it would have been detected. plus she had a nurse with her at all times. i am glad that larry knows the truth about why she was there and i am grateful to larry for sharing what he knew about daniel when howard wasn’t there. i am grateful these two men have put their differences aside and are working together for the best interest of dannielynn. i glad they are friends. they were both in anna’s life and maybe they can help each other with their grief over the loss of anna and daniel. i am also glad that larry has gone on tv to let everyone know anna wasn’t a drug addict. she did take prescription drugs and at times took more than was recommendment. this is his daughter’s mother. so happy to know he has allowed howard to continue to be a part of dannielynn’s life.
i believe now the truth is out, so i hope vergie leaves howard alone. john o’quinn and others to do the same. i hope howard wins his lawsuits, because noone should have to go thru what he did. they ruined his personal and professional life. they should pay
howard hang in there. u are a wonderful man and hope only the best for you.

EXCELLENT SHOW. HOWARD DID FANTASTIC. I HAVE A LITTLE MORE RESPECT FOR GRETA. SHE WAS FAIR AND LET HIM TALK. I FELT BAD FOR HIM THOUGH. NOW MAYBE HE CAN HAVE TIME TO PROPERLY GRIEVE AND TRY TO MOVE ON WITH HIS LIFE. MY FAVORITE PART WAS WHEN ANNA SAID WITH A HUGE SMILE……HE IS MY BEST FRIEND, HE IS MY BEST FRIEND. IN A WAY IT WAS SAD TO WATCH HER SAY THAT.

Wow, what an interview.
I really appreciated the moment when Greta told Howard something like this: “I am 2 feet away from you and can see you are still in pain. It is time to move on.”
How could he? All this time he was harassed and chased legally and personally by all these ‘let’s get him!’ characters.
When is he going to get a break? It took me one year to get over the loss of a loved-one, and I was not under the pressure Howard was and is now.
My best wishes to him and his family!

Howard did a great job with Greta. At first I thought Greta was going to be her normal self when she has made up her mind on the opinion of someone she doesn’t know and didn’t try to check into her facts. I still think she owes Howard and on air apology. She softened after awhile, when she was out argued by Howard. She tried very hard to catch him in lies,,,like the detox thing,,,that answer needs clearing up from her interruptions.
Now, if she doesn’t let her three stoogies run him into the ground with no facts,,,my opinion of Greta will be the same as it was before the interview,,,not very good.

I like the fact that Greta allowed Howard to make the first statement about how he feels about what she allowed on her show. Maybe Greta now sees the truth.
Howard was the same Howard that we have seen from day one, grew to respect, admire and support. I was proud of him.
Anna Nicole Smith was a lucky girl to have a man like Howard in her life. She knew it and she told the world - that must make Howard happy to know that we know how she felt about him.
Howard, Anna would be so proud of you. I agree with you that Anna was a smart girl and “the boss”. She put you, and left you in charge of everything that was important to her - her legal matters, her money, her beloved children, etc. You did not let her down. She knew you were the only one who would never let her down.

I agree fron the videos I saw,did not get to watch the show,other family members had control vut IMO he did just great and I don’t think he would ever raise to any bait by fox news.I bet Great’s ratings were off the wall,no matter how many claimed they would not watch it.Hope there are later shows so I can view the whole thing

Art, I love how you word things! “…revolving door for attackers…” How very true! Heck, Geraldo had an escalator going down to his show for months with that SC bunch and never let them leave it seemed!
Wonder if he (GR) even tried to get an interview with Howard? Probably not, as that would show everyone how very wrong he was!
I did notice that not too much was said about the theft on Horizons. I bet there will be charges filed here in the States if all of Anna’s personal items are not returned. Still can’t believe that FS & GBT had the gall to go to the Inquest! The Bahamian government should have thrown them in jail for burglery! They (FS) brought this stuff to the US, it is stolen property! That means it can be brought to court here as this is where the items are and where they are.

My thoughts echo LaVone’s. Greta seemed fair… but she is the only one that is at the sleazy FOX network.
The most touching part of the interview for me was when they showed a clip of Anna sharing her real caring feelings about Howard. When it was done it was apparent that he is still in so much pain.

After watching it again when it reaired I feel better about it. I thought Howard did well.
When I first watched it I thought he came off as a bit too angry- But I didnt feel that way as much for the second time
for whatever reason. I was really glad he got a chance to talk about that giant douche Ford Shelley.
I kinda wish Howard was more insistent in asking why did Greata air that video when she knew it was stolen.
I wouldnt have let Greata move on to the next subject until she answered that question to my satisfaction.
I’m glad he got the chance to talk about the duffle bag. And how Dannielynn herself had her own monitors.
As a former medtech myself that whole story
never made much sense to me.
I thought it was pretty intresting to learn that it was Howard himself that brought Anna to the hospital
I really liked the part when they played that clip of Anna talking about her friendship with Howard
and I think that Howard is right-If Anna was alive now and they saw all of what people where saying,
watch out!!..It wouldnt be pretty.

perhaphs 60 Minutes. If 60 Minutes can interview Stephen Colbert then I dont see
why they can’t interview Howard.

Can you please tell me in your opnion how on earth Ford Shelley has gotten away with not returning the full clown video to Howard K. Stern as the executor of the estate or Larry Birkhead as the guardian of Dannielynn’s estate.
Its not like this tape was leaked a couple months ago, it was leaked over a Year ago!

I am glad greta allowed Howard to FINALLY state his side of the story. The lynch mob activity she allowed “those” people to present was horrible! Too little to late IMHO! I’m sorry, I just don’t have any respect for that type of “journalism”. I want to hear what is really going on in a news story. If I want slanted, hyped, inaccurate news, I just listen to our government leaders and “wantabe” leaders!
I hope time eases you pain Howard. I wish this whole situation had been handled with maturity and sensitivity!

I felt bad for Howard at first when his voice was shaking and you just could feel the passion in what he said..I don’t think I have seen him smile since the last pics of him at the Hard Rock with Anna..

I usually have the urge to vomit just looking at Virgie but that clip showing her GLEE over Howard’s losses… My God, look at her! The triple chin shaking as she guffaws over what Howard “lost” but “never had”. Her GLEE over what he lost…Doesn’t she have the sense to see that she’s talking about HERSELF?
Replacing Howard with Virgie in her quote: “She is a poor, pitiful “woman” (insert throaty chuckle here) who lost, now get this, SHE lost Daniel, SHE lost Vickie and then SHE lost the baby. (Oh and the look of pure satisfaction on her face as she said this.) They were never HERS to begin with, they were never HERS so what has SHE lost? SHE lost a meal ticket.” It’s obvious that Virgie is still and always will rage over that meal ticket she lost all those years ago, when Anna cut her out.
I wonder does Virgie not see it? Does she not see that’s SHE’S the one who lost everything? Does she not see that she lost her grandson, her daughter and now her granddaughter? But then, you have to actually have the capacity to love someone in order to feel the loss of losing them, so maybe she can’t and won’t ever see it. If she sees it in terms of wins and losses…has she really won anything? I suppose she’s won in that she’s still standing and the daughter who detested her is in the grave (not the grave of Virgie’s choice, but still - it’s something.)
The woman is disgusting. And all I can think is poor Anna. If you ever needed proof that Anna’s feelings towards her mother were justified, just watch that 15 second clip. It’s all right there, garrish and grotesque.

Kerry # 30 I agree with you. Howard appeared to be in so much pain at the end of that hour. Even Greta mentioned that Howards pain was palpable. I can’t imagine the true extent of Howards pain. There is probably much more to this saga that no one, except Howard, will never know.
Despite Howards strong showing on Greta last night, I’m still bitter that she had to shove all of those over the top questions at him. Like how Anna was with Larry and GBT, and “Why did you take the picture of Daniel?” and “What did you love about Anna?”.

I think Howard handled himself with style and grace. I like how he laid the cards out from the begining, and dealt with each issue with class.
I could see the pain in his eyes when he spoke of Anna, especially of the day she lost Daniel. No one but Howard knows the true pain left by the loss of Anna and Daniel. We all can imagine but not really know.
I especially loved the intrview with Anna (was it 2002) when she said Howard was her best friend. What a true testiment from the womans own mouth.
I never seen the May 2nd interview with Virgie and it sickened me to see that smirk and smug look when she all but laughed saying Howard had nothing,he lost Daniel, Anna and Dannilynne. How cruel, cold and calious.

There was one thing that went straight to my heart and that was when Howard said that if Anna was able to be with him now, he thought she would stand behind him and support him.
I know, WITHOUT A DOUBT she would do that. Howard was the ONLY person Anna trusted. She certainly didn’t want to have anything to do with her mother, and I can’t blame her for that.
I agree with Deb H. that Howard should get that beautiful smile back out. I miss seeing it. I’ve only seen it in video clips with Anna.

Lin Wood is a real good lawyer.He is nice looking and direct and honnest!I love this man ! Grreta was OK! Better than a lawsuit, she gave Howard a chance to speak,and explain to the public what he was on.Some say that he look strange widouth emotion.I would say,Howard is a gentleman.He never whent to a drama like that,I mean he lost in couples months all his life.Not an off,he ad these scumbags on his shoulders an ad to deal with it.I think Greta made a good round turn.If she was not impress by the sadness Howard had,I don’t know what to say.
I think he has to much emotions,It’s why he retain himself.

Howard we are still praying for you. We always believed you. Thanks Greta for letting him speak on your show, now I will start watching your show again. I stopped watching you when you had all those people speaking out againt Howard. It seemed your show was one sided and I just did not like seeing someone treated the way Howard was being treated through your guests. I’m so glad that Larry is letting Howard see Dannilynn. Howard has only had one agenda throughout this whole ordeal…to carry out Anna’s wishes and do what’s best for Dannielynn. Don’t let him fool you, I guarantee you he was Anna’s rock. He’s proven it. She was blessed to have him in her life. I wish him the best of everything.

The shinning moment for me, was when Greta told Howard she could feel his pain. That in its self speaks volumes. Now she knows what is true, she felt it. . Sorry guys, I hope I do not get into trouble for not going along with everyone else, but I thought Greta was being extremly self-serving!
Right from the beginning of the interview, every time she would ask Howard for an explanation, she would interrupt him in the middle of what he was trying to say, and TRY TO JUSTIFY HER HORRENDOUS “JOURNALISTIC” SELF.
JUST FOR ONE EXAMPLE: When Howard was trying to explain the events behind the scenes that were going on back when everyone was demanding he take a paternity test immediately - Howard had really good explanations, in detail and over time, as to what was going on - Opri’s interference, the baby’s best interests, and much more. But big mouth Greta just COULD NOT STAND TO HEAR IT and kept stopping him in the middle and repeatedly asserting THAT SHE KNEW WHAT WAS BEST BACK THEN (EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOW VERY CLEAR NOW THAT SHE WAS NOT DEALING WITH ALL THE FACTS AT ALL.) CAN YOU SAY “RUSH TO JUDGEMENT GRETA????” And now, it appeared pretty clear last night that she STILL does not want any additional information that would impede her, oh so superior judgement. Sorry, I wish I could say I thought she was being fair, but IMO, she was just as self-serving and arrogant as always.
It’s also very blatently sexist to imply that when a male teams up with a female and handles the day to day details of a (very complicated, in this case) lifestyle, and has the unique capacity to handle those particular details, that something must be wrong with him or that he is taking advantage- WHEN FEMALES LIVE THIS KIND OF LIFE ALL OVER THE PLACE EVERYDAY IN LOTS OF DIFFERENT CAPACITIES and no one implys that there is anything wrong with that.
And I am really sad to see that Howard is still in so much pain - gosh, I know what he has gone through in one year is more than most people get in 50 years or more. I hate to be a pollyanna, but well, all that stuff about how God never gives you more than you can handle (sometimes not always so sure watching from this angle.) Well, I do believe in a kind of grand plan, myself, for what it’s worth and for some completely unknown reason, Howard was what they needed him to be, like completely and totally, even to this day. How many of us ever get to have someone like that in our lives?
I know that wherever Anna and Daniel are, they are just sending him out so much love and gratitude and understanding and I hope some of it is getting through all of this residual nonesense that the less savory players in Anna and Howard’s story have been throwing his way. Because there is healing in those vibrations.
He’s handled it all with such grace and dignity that you know he must be a very wise old soul. Wise old souls always get tormented by the harpies who can’t stand what is honest and true (and look for any way they can to distort things to their own advantage.) Don’t ask me why. But if you look at life like it is a school - well, Howard must have signed up for some serious high-profile, post-graduate coursework.

i typed my name wrong in my comment #18. it is kim, not kum. sorry for the typo. i am glad that people are starting to realize that howard is a good man who stood by the woman he loved. he realize when he and i first started dating that anna wasn’t ready for a committment. i don’t think he liked having an open relationship with anna, but accepted it because he loved her and knew when the time was right, they would in the end be together. they were to be married the month she died. he is the only one who accepted anna for herself. he is the only one who grieved for her when she died and is still grieving.

i would love to see some inteactioin with Howard and Dannielynn. I bet he would be smiling then. My wish for Dannielynn, is for her to be able to grow up and life a life, she deserves, without all the baggage Vergie’s trying to lay on her. She knows what happened to Anna, she knows why it happened, and i hope she is not wishing the same for Dannielynn. Leave it up to Howard and Larry and Howard, and she will have a life of a princess. How lucky that baby is to have these two men at her beck and call, and with the families that surround her . I would like to slap that look from Vergie’s face and tell her , if she EVER had any love for Anna , she would back off, and let Dannielynn, live in peace. Tuesday’s Guest: You said it was just a matter of time before someone commits suicide from the grilling they get some of these shows.
That already happened. Nancy Grace did a telephone interview with a mother whose son was missing. I beleive her last name was Duckett. After doing this interview, the mother went and shot herself.
I think they went ahead and aired the interview anyway, if my memory serves me correctly. I didn’t see it, but heard about it and checked it out some time ago. To me that is the lowest of low, to do that, knowing the mother committed suicide right after the interview. The fact that the mother committed suicide after talking to Nancy Grace, didn’t matter to them. I heard about all of this when I first came online to support Howard.
Nancy Grace kept right on doing the same thing to other people. Some people have no concionsience. She’s one of many. The fact that Greta could have the people on her show and allow them to spew their hate and venom and lies about Howard, night after night, is apalling. She finally left Howard say a few words at the beginning of this interview Tuesday night, but that doesn’t come near to making me see her in a better light. She has to do a whole lot better than that and for good. I didn’t like the questions she kept harping on and they weren’t anyone’s business anyway.
I just wanted to see him put her in her place and he did. I still will not ever watch her show again (unless she would have Howard on again, lol) or Nancy Grace or Geraldo Rivera. I don’t like any of them. They are all about sensationalisim, ratings and ultimately, money.
We had all emailed Nancy Grace, Greta and others, about what they were doing to Howard, but to no avail. As long as there are enough low minded people out there that will watch that garbage, I’m afraid it will continue. After all, it’s the ratings and money that matter to these people.
I really think there should be some laws governing this sort of thing. It’s one thing to report the news as it already happened, but entirely another, to cater to the lower segment of humanity and allow them to lie and destroy another human being.
I get so sick of people’s speculation. I don’t want to hear speculation. I want to know what really happened, if I’m interested in the story at all.

Gosh, Virgie lost her daughter and her grandchild, and I think she ‘is’ feeling that pain.
She has been called all sorts of ‘words’ and yet, words can never hurt yu, right?
She must feel empty, like the whole world has toppled her down….although she didn’t know Howard, she just went with her instinct, I think.
I’m sure she feels the loss, and I hope a few people are working behind ‘Those Curtains’…
All I can do is imagine, what all of this might be like.
Still the Networks will spin this tale out of proportion.

Kari: Howard, a wimp? Surely you jest. Cripes, if I had to go through what he did for the past year, I don’t know what would have happened to me. I know I wouldn’t have made it. It takes a strong and good person to rise above all the crap that was thrown his way and still is.
Could you lose your loved ones and then go through the lies and hate all over TV and all over the world, actually, and hold up? Who is calling who a wimp here Kari?
As far as him working. Why in the devil are so many people up in arms about how he makes his living? (including Greta) It’s no one’s business and you really shouldn’t concern yourself with it.
Howard worked diligently for over 10 years on Anna’s case with Marshall. That takes a very good lawyer to do what he’s done and won, and it takes great intelligence and perservence.
Could you do that Kari? I somehow doubt it.
Also in case you haven’t noticed, he’s been rather busy for the past year because of people like you. He has to keep fending off these vile people and that takes alot of work and alot of time. I’m sure he’ll get a “regular” job when all this is over. Will that suit you then Kari?
What I really hope is that he sues them all silly and won’t have to do anything but enjoy life, one he so richly deserves. What will you say to that Kari?

Wasnt it another interview with NG that a young mother after being “grilled” by NG commited suicide. Her young son was missing or murdered and NG wouldnt let up on her.
If memory serves me the mother did kill him. But it wasnt known for sure at the time.

#55 Joni: I also believe that this has happened before, and it was the media with Nancy Grace as the leader with her interview who IMO pushed the young mother over the edge and probably contributed to her death. I did think of this when I was writing my post…but then I lost my train of thought and forgot to add it. You know there are probably other deaths that have had the media as a contributing factor when they hounded people but it just isn’t common knowledge because they are not as high profile when they aren’t covered by show’s such as Greta’s and Nancy Grace’s.

I think everyone should still consider going to the Bahamas on their family vacations. The Atlantis since opening The Cove has some great concerts. Just started a few months ago. Go to http://www.atlantis.com to see schedules of events. I get emails with every concert, this is the latest one. Off topic, but I want to help promote tourism in the Bahamas and help those wonderful people when I can. I am small apples but every little bit helps.

Howard DOES have a JOB- as Anna’s lawyer and Executor. He just finished with the inquest, he has the lawsuits with Rita, O’Quinn and that FARCE VA filed against him in TX to handle and all of THAT is more than a FULL TIME JOB! What business is it of YOURS whether Howard’s family supports him? That is a PRIVATE matter between them and frankly, not at ALL unusual in the uncertain economy of today. I wager there are probably a million adult children (many with kids of their own) living with their parents and/or accepting financial assistance from relativesin the USA right now. Howard cannot leave the Bahamas or leave Anna’s home vacant (remember what happened the LAST time Horizons was left unoccupied?)and he also cannot practice law in the Bahams at this time. He did say on Greta that he has a plan and will reveal it when he is ready…I assume it is a “job” of some sort - or at least will provide an income.
And since Howard is suing O’Quinn and Rita Cosby (and her publisher) I think his parents will live the rest of their lives as millionaires once the judgements are complete. They support him now (and how much can it cost - he lives a really simple life in the Bahamas) and one day he will begin taking care of THEM - in a life of total leisure and luxury. Because you know Howard and Lin Wood are going to WIN and WIN BIG - Howard and his faithful, supportive family will be SET FOR LIFE. And then MAYBE Howard can go on with his life without Anna and Daniel and even find love again, have children. Until then - Howard is Anna’s representative - the person she trusted, the person who was her love and best friend.
And VA MAKES ME SICK!!! She is so bitter, hateful, nasty, vindictive and her outside reflects what is inside her…and it’s UGLY to the core. She gives Mothers a bad name and I thank God every day that my Mother is nothing like VA - VA is the ROOT of Anna’s psychological issues and Daniel’s as well. VA should NEVER be allowed in the SAME ROOM with Dannielynn - that sweet child should NEVER be exposed to the ugliness and hate in VA - or her twisted definition of motherhood. VA hated Anna and was jealous of her and her heart withered and turned black and dead before Anna turned 13. Anna was lucky she got away from Virgie when she did - as damaged as Anna was, at least she survived and had success her mother only dreamed of.
Howard, before you finish Anna’s business I hope you nail Ford Shelley and GBen Thompson to a WALL in SC for ALL to see what they truly are - con men and thieves - common criminals of the lowest sort.
Till then, there is support for you in every part of the US - remember that when you face negative energy and fight for Anna and Dannilynn’s future.

To # 58, I truly believe that Anna, bless her heart was a handful! He did anything and everything for her, that is work! He was almost like a manager, and there were a lot of different legal contracts. He is smart, he worked hard in school and became a lawyer; which is no small feat for anyone. If his parents are helping him with his personal costs right now while he takes care of Anna’s estate for Dannielynn then there is nothing wrong with that. His small fee of 6% of the Marshall estate will pay him back for all those years of hard work. If it was O’Quinn he would be asking more than triple that. I bet some on here would know the standard fee, I have forgotten. Howard was never in it for the money anyway, he fell in love. He could not control that Anna at times was with others, for whatever reason. I think it is in part because he knew of her horrible childhood and knew she could not commit fully at that time.
Whatever the reasons, whimpy he is not! He is a man who has had a job, the same job for over 12 years. Before you go putting people down, tell us all if you have had the same job; 7 days a week for over 12 years?
It is not bizarre as Greta rudely said to his face, she and you do NOT KNOW how hard this man works now and has worked in the past. Please do some research on the facts before you pass judgement. Thank you.

.You take issue with Howard saying: my family supports me. (which is fine with me. As a parent, I would do the same under the circumstances)
But, lets consider a couple of hypothetical statements, ok?

1. If, for instance, Howard said…Oh, I have income from a trust fund.
The headlines would be….”People with money have Justice on their side, and can get away with anything..” People out to make an easy buck would say “Lets sue” for whatever reason.
(hypothetical)
.2. What if, by Howard’s statement, “my parents support me”,… In reality he is saying …..My personal income is in no way anyone’s business. (I would definitely agree with that.)
So, will you agree with me that personal privacy is very important to all of us?

So I guess Kari, VA and the rascal gang would like us all to roll over and play dumb. It may work for you circus clowns but as for us. The light has always been on. It’s pointless trying to pry any kind of room around the shallow space squeezing your brains to death and I won’t entertain it by getting into pointless discussions. If I had millions of dollars I would pay his bill. I know if Anna was here she would stand by him and pay his bill and I dare anyone to tell her otherwise so who stepped aside and made you honorable Judge. I stand by my support from day one and still do. Never waivering. Howard step on grace and jsut know we support you all the way. You are a true gem and you will be rewarded greatly for being you. Be proud of who you are because we, I some I know are proud of you.

Anyone who thinks that lawyers pack up and leave the office at the end of each day with no more work to do, are naive. The big shots who ripoff their clients and get rich quick, farm their work out to the young lawyers who work their ass off through the night. The paralegals work very hard, as well, to get the work prepared for the big shots who appear in court to put on a show. They were probably filled in on the work they take to court just before they leave for court, by those who stayed up most of the night to get it prepared.
It takes an ignorant person to make the statements that Virgie makes about Howard. I have a strong suspicion that Virgie is not merely suffering from stupidity. She is illiterate, ill-mannered, low-class and very likely scores low in intelligence.

I think it was abominable for the network to go ahead and air that interview after the mother committed suicide. I never saw any of that, but had checked it out a long time ago after hearing about it online.
Of course, no one can prove that she committed suicide because of the interview, but I’d bet the bank that is what contributed to it. I don’t know if the mother had anything to do with her son’s disappearance or not, but that is still no reason to make it so hard on her, that she took her own life.
I wonder how Nancy felt about it. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, if I contributed to a person’s suicide. But she goes on and on and doesn’t bat an eye. Nancy, Greta and Heraldo. They are all alike.

Isabel (#74) I totally agree with how you worded your last paragraph. I also believe this is why she was so easily manipulated by these so called lawyers. A shame really, as this manipulation she chose to partake in, has lost the last bit of Anna there is. I do believe in my heart that Dannielynn is better off never meeting this person.

After Howard commented about how the networks slautered him and his name including Greta…..her remarks were just “Alright now.. lets continue”
I did not hear one appology for her behavior or her comments or “I am sorry for not listening to both sides before I judged you”…key word “I am sorry Howard for the pain that I caused you during this very difficult time.” nothing nada zero disgraceful to him and his family.
I want to know what her excuse was for airing that video that was stolen, ratings its all about ratings nothing else.
Unprofessional and demeaning to a man who only cared and loved for this woman and her child. It is disgusting, what he had to endure during that time it is even more disturbing because what he was accused of was a sin..murder
Howard I admire your strength and courage to go on a show that previously slammed your character.

Great interview Howard. My hope for Howard is that someday he is able to go on with his life. I feel his pain and sorrow. I also lost someone close and dear to me. That person like Anna was my whole world. Howard I pray that someday you can find some happiness in your life again. You deserve it and I am sure Anna would want you to go forward with your life. Mish: I don’t know if she left a note or not. I really don’t know anything about it, except that she shot herself shortly after the interview with Nancy. If she was responsible for his missing, then she should have been prosecuted if found guilty of anything, but no one should have grilled her so soundly as to push her over the edge.
In my opinion, that is no better than whatever she may or may not have done with her son. I certainly don’t condone anything she may have done, but it’s no excuse for what Nancy did to her. I honestly don’t know how some of these people can go on and on doing these things to other people. Look what they have done to Howard. It’s totally inexcusable.

The gal that killed herself after being on NG’s nasty show had killed her little boy. She killed herself because she knew everyone was on to her. While I agree NG is a disgusting…well, I’ll let it go, she’s Art’s friend. I don’t care for her show. I don’t think it’s her fault.

In fact, the only one I’ve seen was when they were at the OK photo shoot for Larry and Dannielynn, and Howard is holding her toes while Larry is holding her. It’s like a half smile. Greta is a robot, bent on one thing only–sensationalism. Her days of fair and balanced from CNN are long gone now as she joins with Geraldo in the usual questioning, picking and choosing her interview questions to suit the gullible audience and rehashing the same old line of baloney we have endured for over a year.
Why on earth Howard subjected himself to that nonsense is beyond me, perhaps it ws Lin Wood’s idea as ‘an old friend of Greta.’ (or so she claims).
The emotional endurance of such robotic questioning, as Greta sat and read from her script, had to have been phenomenal for Howard and the pain in his voice was evident but didn’t seem to deter good ole Greta from what she excels at–slamming people.
So, we are to be treated once again to the same old parallel story written by fanatics in lieu of the truth…a story outlined by Greta from a rancid perspective? Wanna know the TRUTH? Go read the facts and expect nothing but shame and humiliation from the likes of tabloid TV.
Stay away from talking heads, Howard–they offer nothing but negativity to anything they dip their hands in.

It didn’t get good reviews. I believe they were instrumental in planning Anna’s funeral since Howard was up to his eye balls in law suits trying to get Anna’s body back. I was hoping the book would address that time period from an insiders perspective.

The effect of the emotional cruelty forced on Howard has affected him immensely and rightly so. How much can a human withstand? Howard is doing well under the circumstances and it is easy to see why Anna considered him her rock.
I imagine some people who have had bad relationships are jealous of Howard, while others, such as myself, feel a tremendous admiration for him.

And you know the “facts” because you were there in the room too, right? I would say YOU need to get your “facts” straight - there is a difference in a FACT and a rumor and in this case. FACT, Anna was detoxing from MEthadone during her pregnancy and got headaches as a result. She went to a hospital for help. No nurses, Drs or others AT THE HOSPITAL have reported a duffle bag of drugs, Anna using non-prescribed drugs OR having any addiction issues OTHER than the reported detox. Larry and Anna were NOT getting along at the time and Anna was very close to RUNNING to the Bahamas to GET AWAY from Larry. At the time Opri dropped this load of BS, Larry was still fighting for custody and also very close to FIRING Opri for NOT following his orders. The corroborating evidence to support Larry’s version IS NOT and HAS NEVER been there and I don’t hear LArry telling that story right now - or defending it as TRUTH - and he has no reason to lie, he has Danni and doesn’t NEED Howard or Howard’s “help or cooperation” any more.
Facts can be PROVEN - give me some PROOF, other than Debra Opri said LArry said it…..otherwise, it’s just another rumor. And there are onlt TWO people alive who were there and I am hearing only HOWARD on Greta telling his side and I am not hearing LARRY refuting Howard’s version of events.Why not??? Perhaps because Howard is telling the TRUTH???? (and LArry knows it)

TO BRENDA— Have you ever been a pt in a hospital,i have been a nurse,and pt,having just had a kidney out ,because of (C),I did not take a duffle bag.I took a suitcase,For my bathrobe slippers makeup,hair brush and hair spray,personal items.that is what Howard say he brought,unless you think a woman would go,to a hospital without those items,i do not know of any.As Howard said,and he is correct,they do bloodwork every morning,so if Anna was taking anything they would have known,YOU SOUND BITTER,TO BAD FACTS ARE FACTS

Brenda I am responding even though you don’t like it.Howard did say there was a duffel bag just dot filled with drugs and he made very good points about a nurse being in the room,the baby being monitored and all the blood tests.IMO The remarks made by LB were put into his head by Debra Opri and expanded on and embellished because of the DNA testing that was wanted and because they wanted custody of DannieLynn.anything and everything was said to make Anna look bad along with HKS.

Personally, I don’t think Howard called Larry a liar at all. I thought Howard was pretty clear in saying something like Ana Nicole was detoxing too at the time, so it would be easy for Larry to think that was the primary reason for the hospitalization. And besides, who the hell cares? You freaks will latch on to anything even remotely salacious! So stupid!
This has nothing to do with any of this. I don’t see Larry on TV up in arms cause ‘Howard called him a liar.’

The paid bloggers are the ones that have been paid to tear Howard down. They are the ones who are supporting Virgie and her gang. Maybe I should say Virgie’s gang is “supporting” them, lol.
There has been a movement from the beginning to bring Howard down. We here on Art’s site have been able to see the truth about both sides and we have seen that Howard is a decent man, who was crazy about Anna and Daniel. Our minds aren’t filled with hate. We have been able to see everyone in this saga for what they really are.
If you check out Virgie and her gang of hoodlums, you’ll see what despicable people they really are.
Don’t be so quick to judge some people before you’ve delved deeply into all the players in this story and their motives.
I have never, in my life, seen so many unscrupulous people in one bunch, in my whole life.
John O’Quinn has loads of money and has been spending it freely on Virgie in her attempt to somehow get her greedy little hands on any money Dannielynn may or may not get in the future.
John O’Quinn and everyone else in that camp have very dirty hands. Check them out Katherine.

Katherine, if you had been following this story from the beginning, you would see what we have all seen in Howard. Also if you had seen the things and heard the things that Virgie and O’Quinn have done, you would understand why we feel the way we do about them and all these other unsavory characters that keep piling up. I call them the rat pack. That’s what they are, every last one of them. You go ahead and check them out thoroughly and you’ll see what I’m talking about. You will also see if anyone is being paid, they are the ones paying them to spew their hate all over the internet.
Virgie once said, on camera, something to the effect that she would never give up on trying to bring Howard down and she has been good to her word on that. She actually “loved” the book Rita Cosby wrote that trashed her daughter. What a mother! Yikes!
If you had seen the video Art had in here of Virgie and what she said about Howard losing Anna, Daniel, and Dannielynn, it would make your blood run cold. It made mine run cold. This woman is from hell. Virgie seemed glad they were dead, just so she could relish in Howard’s pain and loss, never mind the fact that this was her daughter and grandson that she also lost. That didn’t seem to matter to her at any point.
I suggest you find out what everyone is really about before you judge Howard. He’s the only decent one in this mess. It’s deplorable what he has had to go through and is still going through and will be for who knows how long, because of Virgie and gang. I guess until O’Quinn’s money or patience runs out.
We are law abiding people on this site and we want to keep it that way, so go and try to cause trouble somewhere else.

I have to say, that I have been behind Howard Stern all the way from the beginning. He is a man who is in a lot of pain because he lost people he loved. I do not understand how some people think he should be acting…I felt his emotion, felt how close he was to tears for all the sorrow that he has inside him. I don’t see how anyone could have missed that. He is a very private person as are many people and everyone shows their emotion and pain in their own way. We are not all alike, nor do we respond alike. He has shown his way of privacy all along. Yes, he did join Anna, everytime she wanted him to be there when she was being interviewed. That is because he is very much in love with her and would do anything for her. He was the only person in her life that did not try to use her. She was very lucky to have him by her side and I do not think she realized that as soon as she should have. After Anna was gone he did everything he could to protect and shield her precious baby girl. I am glad that he had her best interest at heart and wanted to handle things away from the media to protect her. I hope that Larry will always honor the fact that Anna wanted Howard to be in Dannilynn’s life, because I feel that he will be a stabilizing person in her life. He will always love her and will always do everything he can to protect her and to do as much damage control for her mother and brother that he possibly can. I believe that Howard and Larry will work together to help that little girl grow up knowing all the good things about her mother. It is shameful how many people are out there saying anything destructive they can to make a buck or get attention at the expense of an innocent little girl who should be able to grow up and read good things about the mother she will never know. I believe Anna called a spade a spade where her mother is concerned and I do not think Virgie should be allowed to have any connection with her at all. When Dannilynn is grown, she can make a choice about whether she wants to know her or not, but as a child she should be protected and her mother’s wishes should be respected. My heart goes out to the three of them and I hope only the best for them. I think everyone should quit worrying about Howard’s family helping him. Apparently they love him and I am sure they loved Anna and Daniel too and their support consists of more than just money. People should spend more time worrying about their own lives and the choices they make daily, since that is what they will have to answer to ultimately. We were not put here to judge everyone else.

Years ago I worked in a law firm whose senior partner held get togethers at his home during the holidays. The elite clients were invited. Sometime later, I discovered that some clients were being billed in some way for the privilege of having been at the party.
