Howard K. Stern Outside Court Monday After Verdict

A coroner’s jury in the Bahamas looking into the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, declared Monday the 20 year old died of “non-dependent drug use,” in other words, an accidental overdose, ruling no further criminal investigation necessary.

The verdict certainly exonerates Anna Nicole’s long time companion Howard K. Stern of any wrong-doing. “There was never any evidence to suggest Howard did anything wrong,” said popular Bahamas talk show host Lincoln Bain in an exclusive telephone interview after sitting in on court Monday. After months of wrangling, The Bald Truth has learned the court-appointed legal guardian who charged the estate of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter almost $200,000 to look after Dannileynn’s best interests has agreed to accept a drastic reduction of his bill.

“There’s going to be a significant cut in fees, as there should be,” a source inside the negotiations with Miami lawyer Richard Milstein told me in an exclusive interview. “I’d rather not say how much since we hope it will be finalized in court this week.”

Milstein and lawyers for Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn’s father, and estate executor Howard K. Stern, are scheduled for a “case managment” hearing before Broward County Circuit Judge Mark A. LOS ANGELES, March 26—-Movie producer Charles Victor Roven (Batman Begins, Three Kings) comes in on Tuesday, and sits and listens with us to Exhibit 54a, a recording of his former partner, director John McTiernan (Diehard, Predator) telling Anthony Pellicano that Roven is a “rich fuck-up” and “is what he is.”

That had to hurt. A rich fuck-up, is that any different than a poor one…YES!

Roven was the producer and McTiernan the director of the remake of Rollerball, a movie that I hated…Pellicano tells “McT” that he has “to listen to every one of them,” i.e. the wiretaps of Mr. Roven and his wife. This guy McT is getting the Pellicano massage of removing his money from his wallet. Pellicano tells him that he still owes $25,000.00, and that there is so much more work to be done…

LOS ANGELES, MARCH 26–Well, after a three day break in the fun and games of the Pellicano trial, aka “Omerta is dead,” we were met Tuesday morning by a gentleman named Peter L. Knecht, Esquire.

His client and friend is a guy named Bilal Barody…a guy who claimed to live almost everywhere and then again nowhere. A castle, a condo on the Wishire corridor, or who knows. He does, however, owe “Ronny” $300,000.00 and is being handled by “Ronny’s” friend Pellicano. Oh, I almost forgot, “Ronny” is also known as Ron Meyer, the CEO of Universal Studios! We decided to wade into the land of New South Mercy, Marietta, Ga., where a Cobb Superior Court judge this week bestowed leniency on the so-called Barbie Bandits, two young women who, on a stupid lark, donned designer shades to rob a local Bank of America Branch, then went shopping.

Compared to the 10 year prison term granted the mastermind and the 5 year sentence given the teller, well, locals debated whether the two bandits had perhaps received a little too much Blond Justice, to go with their blond highlights.

Marietta, Ga., March 25—-Once, the so called “Barbie Bandits” ranked right up there as pop stars of crime. Now they’re raising questions about “blond justice.”

Caught on grocery store bank security cameras outside Atlanta last year, Ashley Nicole Miller, 19, and Heather Johnston, 20, gave the FBI’s bank robber profile a rewrite: blond, ex-church-going gals gone wild.

Both sported designer shades, smiled and giggled as they slipped a threatening note to the Bank of America teller (who we later learned dicated it), and made off with $11,000 in cash.

After divying it up with criminal mastermind Michael Darrell Chastang, 28, (who Tuesday was sentenced to 10 years in prison for cooking up the inside job, plus the 15 years he’s now serving for drugs), the two “Barbies” ditched their disguises and headed for Lenox Mall, and upscale Phipps Plaza for a shopping spree. This Easter Holiday weekend, I was reflecting on the events of the last two weeks, and wondering whether if I were in trouble, in litigation as a defendant or lawyer, what would I do? I was baptized a Catholic and did attend as a child, and spent years in churches as an adult working as an embalmer, so I have been places where Jesus should have been hanging out!

Like so many Marines, Staff Sgt. Daniel Gilyeat re-upped after a first Iraq tour ended in 2004. Caught in an emotional crossfire, he was fighting to save a crumbling marriage, but also felt he could “make a difference” fighting alongside his Marines.

LOS ANGELES, March 20–The court will not be in session on Friday the 21st and Monday the 24th. Everyone needs a break and I do mean everyone.

It will give Anthony Pellicano a chance to get back his “soft-spoken” persona, as the “old asshole” Tony is leaking through his act. But there was plenty happening today!

One of the first out of the box this morning was a young man who happened to be an attorney. Always fun to watch lawyers snap at each other’s heels! Gregory Dovel, Esquire is the attorney for Bo Zenga.
