Natalie Holloway: Joran van der Sloot Had Her Dumped at Sea?

Joran van der Sloot, once a suspect in the Natalie Holloway vanishing, says the missing Alabama cheerleader fell unconscious after they had sex on an Aruban beach, and a friend dumped her body at sea.
But he feels no remorse, according to our translation of a Dutch TV sting that aired Sunday night in Holland. “I haven’t lost one night’s sleep over it,” he tells an undercover reporter.
Three years after the blond teenager went missing on a high school senior trip, a hidden camera for Dutch television captured Joran’s casual conversation on a videotape we had translated into English late Sunday. Now in college in Holland, Joran is speaking to a man he thinks is a pal, but who actually worked for acclaimed Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries.
Aruban authorities say the tape provides enough new details about how Holloway died that they plan to reopen the investigation. No body was ever found, and van der Sloot has been twice jailed, then released, mocking police all the way, according to his free-wheeling chat in a car that was caught on tape.
He feels no remorse. “I haven’t lost one night’s sleep over it,” he tells his friend, according to our translation of a portion of the video.
Joran has always denied any involvement, along with Kalpoe brothers Satish and Deepak, and after the tape contents were leaked, phoned a Dutch talk show to say he lied on the tape. De Vries told ABC 20-20 Joran threw a glass of wine in his face.
While 20-20 plans to air a 90-minute special based on the new information Monday, The Bald Truth asked a translater to provide an English version of the hidden camera video. On it, Joran tells de Vries’ associate, Patrick van der Eem, a Dutch resident who grew up in Curacao and Aruba, that after he failed to revive Holloway, he hid her body behind a stand of mangroves, then phoned a friend with a boat. Together, he said they carried her body down the beach, to the boat.
Below are translated excerpts from the video we had translated off a Dutch website; J is Joran. P is Patrick van Eem, who was working with the Dutch journalist on the Joran sting.
J: I talked with him (friend with boat) and said, ‘There’s something that happened, something bad.’”
P: Where did you speak with him?
J: From a pay phone.
P: From the Marriott? The one in the lobby?
J: No, the one outside by the swimming pool.
J: No the one just outside by the swimming pool.
Joran says he told his friend with the boats he’d “laid her down by the mangrove things. Then I told him to come over here. He worked at the beach. He has a wife, and he (f—s) her, but lives alone.
He said his friend came over and saw Holloway. “He said, ‘Joran, what did you do?” She looked so sweet. She was laying there, so still.”
According to the story Joran relates on tape:
His friend asked, “What happened?” And Joran said, “I don’t know, man.”
P: Did you try to resucictate her?
J: I tried everything. I tried to shake her. I sat there shaking her and said, ‘What is it with you?’ I wanted to cry. Why did this have to happen to me? And I said to him, ‘This can’t be happening!’”
It was 2 a.m. when his friend showed up, and saw the predicament.
J: He said, to me, ‘This is a problem.’”
Joran explains his friend owns a boat, and works as an attendant for the banana boats, and rents inner tubes to tourists.
P: Oh, the fun boats where you can ride with lots of people?
J: Yeah, he’s got his own boat, but he works for someone at the beach. And if there are groups of people, he sort of hangs out, and trieds to make extra money. He does pretty well. He’s not stupid. He said, ‘I will do a lot for you, Joran, but this is a big problem. Whatever happens, you will be blamed.’ I told him, I don’t know what to do. I can’t go to the police. I can’t do it. I asked him, Can we solve this?’
J: My friend said his boat was at the pier, and I asked him, ‘help me then.’ So we took her to the boat. We both lifted her up and put her in quickly.”
P: No one saw you? You were so close the Marriott and other boats were there?
J: Yeah, but no one noticed. It was dark, and as you walk farther away, it gets darker and darker, and even if you walked with someone, everyone would think you were just playing on the beach.
P: (playing along) Oh, yeah, like you’re drunk, or whatever, you wouldn’t be noticed..
The video was subtitled in Dutch. One hidden camera was on Joran in the passenger seat, the other on Patrick, who was driving.
J: My friend says, Joran, you gotta go school tomrrow and do what you’d normally do. Because if something went wrong with the girl (and they find out),” you need to be low key, don’t bring any attention.
P: Your friend was smart to tell you that.
J: I knew that already, but I said, ‘You’re absolutely right about going to school. And I just have to go about living a normal life. I need to do normal th ings. I’m going to the go to the casino tomorrow night, so I’ll be on their security camera. My friend said, ‘That’s good thinking.’ Then I went home.
P: How did you get home?
J: I walked. (angry, animated tone). How did you think I got home? I had to arrange things, get things together…It’s only 15 minutes away.
P: Did your friend take her shoes?
J: No, I had them and just threw them in the sewer.
Joran’s cell phone rings in the car. He looks down and ignores it. He’s got a small goatee, a dark cap. He asks Patrick if he’s got any weed, that he ran out, but he was stoned when he left.
P: So you went home?
J: Yeah, and my friend took the boat and went out to sea and threw her overboard. Then he came back and put his boat back and came back to my house for a little bit.
P: That night?
J: Yeah. He came back.
k to the house and said, ‘They will miss her. They will look for her, but they won’t find anything. Then we talked a bit and he said, ‘You know it’s going to be ok now. They might come to see you, Joran, so we better make sure we have the same story. We were kind of nervous. It’s not a small deal, you know. He said, Before, we’d done things together. So, if someone calls me I know I’ve got to call him. He’d do that for me. But it had to be a good (story) and we had to get it right. I thought the police might come to us about her going missing, because they (people) saw me leave with her from the bar. The guys left me there. They don’t know anything else. They just dropped me off, they didn’t know anything.
P: You mean, Deepak and Satish (Kalpoe)?
J: Those are stupid guys, worthless.
P: That’s what I thought all along. So they dropped you off?
P: It’s completely screwed up because those guys said, ‘They dropped me back at the hotel. They really screwed up (my story).
J: So I told my friend, If the police come (say) Deepak and Satish dropped me off at my house…I’ve got to talk to them.
P: You never told those two anything, did you?
J: Never. Never! I didn’t tell them anything. I had no idea that afterwards that this shit would..
P: Yeah, you kinda had bad luck with that, didn’t you? With all the gigantic media hype about all this…
J: Yeah, but I know how to manipulate the facts, too, and use it.
Then Joran asks if Patrick has any weed, which is legal in Holland.
Patrick tells ABC after meeting him, they’d spend time talking and getting high, and he realized he had valuable information that could possibly crack a case that has baffled the Aruban police and the FBI, and offered to help de Vries, the reporter.
“Yeah,” he told Joran, “I’ve got something to smoke.”
J: I left yesterday and didn’t have any more weed, but I was stoned…”
Then, in an apparent moment of self-pity, Joran blurts, “I was only with her for two hours! I was only there for two hours!
P: So you were (having sex) and then in one moment, it was finished.
Joran describes sexual specifics, including intercourse on the beach, then says, “I wanted her to suck my dick. I was about to tell her that, then I came, like in a minute. Then she began to shake after I came,” and stopped moving.
Patrick asks something about the police questioning him.
J: The police give you so much information, more than they know, they want to throw it all on the table, but they don’t know shit. So if you tell them it’s so, it’s so.
Then Joran brings up his girlfriend. “I still have my girlfriend. What a sweetheart.”
He tells Patrick he doesn’t feel an ounce of guilt about Holloway. “I haven’t lost one night’s sleep over it. I just have to go on. I have to look good, then they can’t do anything to me. That’s how it went down.
Patrick asks if he’s talked to a friend named Daury, who owned the boat.
“Yes, but not often.”
P: Do you speak on the phone or the internet?
J: The internet. But about this thing (Holloway), we only talk about that if we’re together.

Funny thing Art I was going to email you about the Aruba case and was wondering if you maybe were down there.I saw a video of a Aruba news cast a Dan Young and Kelly Castillo were being interviewed about this same case. Their views were somewhat different.any comments on who they are and why they would say what they did?

Did this guy know Natalee was dead or did he think she was simply unconscious when she was dumped into the sea?
It’s hard to believe this guy could be so stupid that he’d discard someone like a piece of garbage, be suspected of murder, get arrested, seemingly get away with murder, and then just tell some guy he met in Holland what happened and what he did to this girl.
Sadly, I can believe someone could be so heartless, but it’s hard to believe someone could be so stupid.

Wake up American and boycott these islands that don’t protect these criminals. Also why leave these young kids go out of the country at such an young age and party…………….

Joran is not all that unlucky! He is very lucky that the girl he and his asshole friend dumped into the ocean was not my daughter! He would have had to go from wooden shoes to living with Osama as I would hunt him down…….and discuss things only as a greiving mother or father could.
Of course in the appropriate atmosphere…..what a cold blooded prick, oh he is so slick and then I would go for a boat ride with his ‘little helper’.
If ever a case cried out for revenge this one does!

This idiot Joran should be in a pshyc ward if only for his arrogance, or taken out in a boat in the middle of the sea and be thrown overboard. What he felt Natalie deserved then he should be happy to be treated the same way, he is dangerous and should be locked up for life, if for nothing more than his thoughts about the whole matter and we’ll see how well he sleeps then. This is really sick.

He will reap what he sows, you always get caught or karma gets you in the end. If however you are pscopathic like this guy is he will never feel remourse not even for his own daughter, sister or mother something happened invitro for this to occur. Could be some inbreeding or something like that.
Unfortunatly the body has never been found that would tell a story greater than anything, they need strong forensics team, to do a test on all his clothing bedding car etc, if she died there has got to be some bodily fluid on his persons belongings somewhere got to be, they just did not look hard enough. that is the tye in right there the bodily fluid. His bragging rights are soon over I feel it coming.

At the risk of sounding harsh and unsympathetic, I’m not saying that Natalie deserved to die, BUT! She’s not ALL innocent in this! I lived near Panama City Beach FL and the way those kids behaved, if the parents had any idea they’d die of shock on the spot! “That’s what spring break is all about! Gettin drunk and gettin f****d ! WHOOOOO!” I’m not saying that’s how Natalie was behaving, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she was acting wild. She was away from home without supervision, partying hard. She broke the first commandment of safety-STAY WITH YOUR CROWD! She left with a GUY she didn’t know, she was very drunk and that was ASKING for trouble!
Her mother allowed her TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY in the care of a travel company she didn’t know and ASSUMED that the adults going were chaperone’s. They weren’t! Their only function was to make sure the kids got on and off the plane.
This was a missed opportunity to educate parents about the perils of letting their kids go on these kinds of trips, and what to look for to insure other kids don’t end up as statistics- mainly, find out exactly what the responsibilities of the chaperones will be.

When my child went to Bermuda or wherever it was her class went, I was worried but nothing of this sort would have occurred to me as a possibility. I trusted that she was responsible enough to do the right thing and fortunately it was uneventful.
Can you honestly deny your child a seemingly great class trip with his/her schoolmates and live with that guilt if you are unaware of possible dangers other than turbulence? I am glad I was operating on innocence at that time.

I was a nurse AND a forensic investigator for FDLE! I’ve SEEN kids on spring break! Yes, I WOULD deny the trip IF the answers I got from the company sponsoring the trip weren’t to my satisfaction. I’m SIXTY YEARS OLD, and I’ve seen a LOT! Nancy Grace is WRONG! People CAN die from drinking! It’s called alcohol poisoning, and it CAN cause convulsions, I’ve seen it with my own eyes, and It CAN cause death especially if the person drinking isn’t used to alcohol, and who knows if her slipped this girl something!
And Vivian, I’m sorry you’re so blind! Van Der Sloot is a MONSTER no doubt. BUT, this girl was in a foreign country, drinking herself into oblivion, her OWN CLASS MATES said so! She WASN’T behaving herself, she left with strangers and ended up a statistic! No one poured booze down her throat, and when she left that club with Van Der Sloot, it WASN’T at gunpoint! She made bad choices and now she sleeps with the fishes! Did she deserve this end? ABSOLUTELY NOT! But I’ve seen this kind of thing more times than I can count! It may sound brutal but it’s the truth; we DON’T know what our kids are doing when they’re out of our sight.
What also annoys me is that Natalie isn’t the ONLY kid to go on a trip like this and disappear. It happens so often in Mexico that there are TRAVEL WARNINGS, but not a word in the media!

HOWEVER, you LESSEN your chances by doing things like obeying trafic laws, watching how much you drink, keeping track of your company, not walking the streets after dark or going ofg alone with guys you don’t know.

As a stupid American let me assure you I do not believe anything until my mind is good and ready to believe something.
Go ahead and protect Joran but make sure he gets the help he needs because no human with any sense would simply dump another human in the ocean as if it were trash. That type of thing is done by the sub-humans such as those hired to commit crimes.
I, myself, do not agree with Peter De Vries’ taking the chance he took because he had a 50/50 percent chance of being believed one way or another.

I’m not mean, but the real world CAN be, that’s my point. It would rip my heart out when having to interview people who’d lost a loved one, especially a child to violence. BUT I would ALSO wonder why a 13 year old was out on the street at 2 AM! One of my cases involved a pretty college student who was blown away while sitting in the car with her DRUG DEALER BOY FRIEND. She didn’t use or sell, but she knew what he was! She KNOWINGLY put herself in harms way! We had a period in Florida where someone was piking up hitch hikers along a certain streach of road and were skeletonized by the time they were found. Signs warning people of this were placed, yet people were still hitch hiking along this streach! My message is don’t put yourself in danger!

4 yr.olds know how to dial 9ll. he had a cell phone in his pocket. instead of using it, he hides her unconscious/dead body in the bushes and makes burial arrangements. if natalee’s problems were medical or accidental, he would have dialed 9ll. being the son of a lawyer/failed judge candidate, and amateur criminal law hobbyist, he knew evidence found on the body would convict him of criminal charges. it just doesn’t get any more simple than that.

what doc uments are they showing her flight time? she says in book she got there at 11 they say 745… what poster in book?? she beth shows different poster who are these 2? did you try Art to contact them and ask for proof? what if they were right? Has beth or juggs threatened to sue them? why not?
I read there web site why would they lie? there is some truth to there story.? I know it must of took a lot of guts or they are dead wrong. and sue them Beth

Hey art they just sent e mailed me the aruban country doc,,filled out by beth. beths arrival time they also sent me the first poster beth passed out.it is different then her book time. I have and know her book very well I have followed this case. you know no life,, (Lol) they had nothing to hide they said, they are tired of the lies from the american media. they e mailed me there phone number also. who are these 2?
