While a Bahamian police forensics expert appeared more certain than any pathologist so far that methadone alone killed Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, courtroom observers told me the real shocker at Tuesday’s inquest were medical records that showed he’d been hospitalized for depression and back pain two months before visiting his mother in Nassau.
According to Daniel’s medical records obtained by Bahamian police, Smith entered the intensive care unit of a California hospital in July of 2006, when he was treated for an “impaired mental status” that cited “the misuse of valium,” a powerful tranquilizer often prescribed for anxiety, as a factor.
While Wayne Munroe, attorney for Howard K. Stern, lawyer and boyfriend of his mother, said a physician had prescribed medication for his back pain, and his depression, as well as counseling or therapy sessions, the specific pain drug was not listed in the records.
Observers told me the records were introduced when most media were apparently out of the courtroom and also missed the magistrate’s announcement he would adjourn the inquest until January 28, citing scheduling conflicts with lawyers and witnesses.
As for Methadone, it’s often prescribed for extreme pain, medical specialists tell The Bald Truth, as well as to help heroin withdrawal, and Anna Nicole herself was taking the medication for her own back pain, though family friends tell me she was weaned off it before the birth of Dannielynn. Only traces were found in her bile, according to a Florida autopsy.
No one has suggested Daniel was taking heroin, or that methadone was his drug of choice, but family friends tell me Anna was more and more concerned he might have a problem, and could not rule out he could be raiding her own medicine cabinet in California. Family friends have also told me he’d recently broken up with a girlfriend known as “Maya.
The Nassau Guardian reported that investigator Cleophus Cooper testified Tuesday that in his interview with Anna Nicole following her son’s death, she told him that Smith had been suffering from depression after a breakup with a girlfriend and had been previously hospitalized. He also said she told him Daniel had been kicked out of the house after becoming verbally abusive to her repeatedly, according to the newspaper.
Our special correspondent Lincoln Bain, a popular island talk show host known as Mr. Controversy, also reports that there was no mention in the medical report of any arrhythmia or heart condition in Daniel, as has been misreported by several outlets.
He also said that when the California hospital asked Daniel to name his relatives, medical files entered into the inquest records showed young Smith listed only his mother, the ex-Playboy centerfold and reality TV star. There was no mention of any other Texan, including his grandmother, Virgie Arthur.
“When she heard that, Virgie started shaking her head as if to say, ‘No, No, No!’” Bain reports. “It seemed to really upset her.” There had been virtually no reported contact between Arthur and Daniel for years, according to Anna Nicole who blasted Virgie on TV interviews for their mother-daughter estrangement and her public comments in the wake of Daniel’s death. Arthur has not only blamed her, but Stern for the rift, and worse.
Police in Florida ruled his mother’s death an accidental overdose caused largely by the sleeping medication, chloral hydrate, while a host of other prescription and non-prescription drugs were found in her system at therapeautic levels, according to the autopsy. In the Bahamas, the magistrate announced at the start of the inquest police found any evidence of foul play in her son’s death. An inquest has the authority to recommend further criminal investigation, even charges, however, if new, undiscovered evidence warrants it.
Daniel died Sept. 10, 2006, as he visited his mother at a Nassau hospital where she had given birth three days earlier.
A Royal Bahamian police probe, sources tell me, confirms he landed, passed through customs, then Stern drove him directly to the hospital to spend the night with his mother, Stern, and his newborn half-sister. Methadone could have been in his system when he landed, said the police forensic chief.
Meanwhile, Arthur has filed a defamation suit against Stern and several television shows and entities for conspiring to defame her, and her attorney, Neil McCabe, is scheduled to take Stern’s deposition January 4 in Atlanta, in an attempt to determine if his business ties to Texas are extensive enough to demand any trial or hearing be held in the Lonestar State, according to documents obtained exclusively by The Bald Truth.
It was also learned that the father of Larry Birkhead died Monday in Kentucky and that while it’s uncertain whether Dannielynn’s father will testify at the inquest, he was said to have flown home to Kentucky for the funeral and to spend time with family.
While two pathologists who performed autopsies on Daniel Smith said they believed he died from a toxic cocktail of two anti-depressants, Lexapro and Zoloft, combining with methadone, Arthur’s chief investigative consultant Don Clark appeared elated to hear Superintendant Quinn McCartney declare he felt it was methadone alone that triggered Daniel’s demise, with “bloody froth” reported in the autopsy suggesting an overdose.
‘BINGO!” said Clark in a voice loud enough for several lawyers to comment that a 25 year FBI agent turned private eye would express such emotion in open court. But legal experts tell me a Bahamas inquest is more relaxed than what might be expected of visitors to a U.S. courtroom, where judges might boot visitors for even the slightest display of emotion.
It was unclear why Clark appeared to be celebrating since the Bahamian police have ruled out foul play, and the forensic chief said Daniel could have ingested the methadone before landing in the Bahamas, according to courtroom observers.
Bain recalls McCartney saying, regardless of other drugs, the level of methadone was high enough “to set off alarms,” and that a bottle of Zoloft found in Daniel’s backpack in California was turned over to Island police, who also found Lexapro in Daniel’s suitcase in the Bahamas.
Courtroom observers, as well as the judge himself, have said several witnesses were ill-prepared, with faulty memories and contradictions, including two nurses who handled two pills found in the hospital room where Daniel spent the night with his mother, Dannielynn and Stern. About 930 am on the morning he was found unconscious, an emergency code blue was sounded in an attempt to save Daniel’s life.
One nurse said she found two pills in the room with writing on them, wrapped them in tissue and gave them to another nurse, but failed to alert physicians, but the employee who said she received the pills described them in a plastic bag.
While 5 mg white methadone pills have no letters, just a line down the center, one pill did test positive as methadone, while the other was found to be a muscle relaxant, testified police, according to Bain.
Clearing up as well as further confusing the tragic night Daniel died, hospital videotapes or digital images did establish a timeline for Howard K. Stern. Bain told me a hospital technical worker testified he had been assigned to review the tapes to look for Stern, Daniel and Anna Nicole, and it showed:
–Stern and Daniel walking through the hospital doors at 11:09, shortly after he picked up Daniel at the airport at 10:30, leaving no time to stop at Horizons on the way to see his mother and new half sister, Dannielynn;
–12:55 Stern leaves the hospital—one time only—to buy takeout food for everyone, and returns just over a half hour later at 1:34 a.m. One nurse who told a magazine she saw him leave twice and stay away for two hours cannot be located to testify, said the judge, according to Bain, and videotapes appear to contradict her account.
–2:28 a.m. Daniel can be seen walking his mother around the nursing station. She was under doctor’s orders to get up and walk after her caesarean delivery to build up her strength to leave the hospital. By then, Stern had fallen asleep in the room, he’s told police.
What shocked Bain most of all, though, is that the hospital tape ends at 8 am, almost an hour and a half before the emergency call to save Daniel, and the rest of the tape cannot be located, since it’s probably been recorded over, said Bain. “I couldn’t believe it,” said Bain. “It seems so incompetent, but there’s still no evidence of foul play, just total confusion.”
As for the nannies, cited in Rita Cosby’s book as witnesses to a gay tryst on tape between Stern and Birkhead—which both deny—and that is at the epicenter of a $60 million libel suit Stern has filed against her, it’s unclear whether they will testify at all. While Wayne Munroe, Stern’s attorney, calls them irrelevant, one may still take the stand, Bain reports.
According to their attorney, South Carolina real estate developer Ford Shelley paid them $100 for an anti Stern affidavit, since retracted, and contradictions could open them up to a withering examination by attorneys.
At the same time, both Ford Shelley and G. Ben Thompson – among the most visible talk show guests who have attacked Stern as guilty of something — have told the prosecutor they are reluctant to testify unless certain “issues” can be resolved before they come to the Bahamas. “I think they are afraid to show,” says Bain.
Last Spring, when Bahamian investigators flew to Myrtle Beach to meet with Shelley, he avoided them, citing a dentist appointment as a conflict. The Bald Truth has reported his then South Carolina attorney sent police a letter, a copy of which we obtained, offering his full cooperation. He did give an initial police statement, but Stern months ago filed burglary charges against him for allegedly breaking into the home where he lived with Anna the day after she died and taking two laptops, hardrives, videos, baby paintings, birth certificates and other items.
Shelley denies breaking in, saying he had a key, and turned some items into the Myrtle Beach county sheriff, but not before copying the harddrives, according to a computer forensic report. He’s said Anna Nicole asked him to protect her private belongings if anything happened to her, but videotape shows they were far from friends when she died, embroiled in a bitter fight over title to the house his father in law–her boyfriend briefly– arranged. She’s said it was a gift and he said it was not.
Thompson has since given up his court fight for title, and Stern’s Bahamian lawyer says he faces contempt charges –and possible jail if convicted of violating a Supreme Court injunction allowing Anna and Stern to live at Horizons until a court ruled on the title. Thompson’s lawyer, Godfrey Pro Pinder, Wednesday told me he’s confident the developer will prevail and no one will be penalized, much less go to jail.
While Florida has closed it’s death investigation on Anna Nicole, relying on the accidental overdose results of an autopsy and police investigation, investigators for Virgie Arthur have been pushing California to dig into alleged prescription drug violations by Anna’s doctors, but the next hearing there has been postponed until February. Still, Arthur’s lawyers say they’re hellbent on digging up more information in the Bahamas to bring to the table.
“I think today (Tuesday) was a big letdown,” says Bain. “Everyone was ready for this to be over this week. It’s pretty anticlimactic, and nothing so far suggests any foul play, it’s like the police said, they found what they found, and it looks like that’s about it.
“It’s pretty disorganized,’ he went on, “there are so many witnesses not showing up, and no matter what Don Clark and his team try to do, Howard Stern is still presumed innocent in most people’s eyes, and certainly in the court’s. Now we’ve got to wait another six weeks.”

Digging up more information to bring to the inquest in order to continue the harassment should not be difficult. Don Clark can go find the gardener who worked at the Horizons and since the gardener hardly speaks English, a few hundred dollars in his pocket might do the trick. Clark will have to practice with him over a few sessions to get him to say the perfect words that will elicit another “Bingo” from Mr. FBI.

I wish I had posted the letter I wrote half of the other night, but I was too tired! In a nutshell, knowing much about Methadone, and family relations, I wrote: I think it’s pretty clear that Daniel took it willingly. I think that maybe he was having withdrawals from whatever pain meds he was taking. He maybe couldn’t bring them into the Bahamas. Keep in mind, if he was addicted, it’s unlikely he had a legal prescription. I’m sure he took an amount of Methadone he had, at sometime, been comfortable taking and it was too much. Even if he got the pills from his Mom, I’m quite sure they thought it was okay. I know family members of my own that used to borrow a Valium here or there back in the 70’s! Would they be called murderers for handing one over to an adult? Daniel was a grown man. No one held him down and shoved pills in his mouth, come on! As for Clark and his little “Bingo!” Please! We already knew Methadone killed the man! You’re gonna have to keep looking for your Smoking gun! Do you people honestly think Howard is going to just off someone that is practically his own son? Even if you believe that, do you think he would have been stupid and done it that night, in a public hospital? He’s well educated, I’m quite sure if he was going to do that, he’d be a little more slick about it! Don’t you people think about that? Or the killing Anna thing? So much misinformation put out there so little truth.Now it has come out.Clark should have said Bingo when tapes showed HKS only left the hospital once.Maybe why the nurse can’t be located to testify is because team stupid have her in hideing OMHO I am sure VA knew thatthe drughs were found in his suitcasr as she could have asked and gotten that information easily.IMO they are counting to heavily on the Methadone when Ana Was weaned off of it by the time her Daughter was born as far as the people close to her say.After Don Clark had his melt down on national TV he is a non person in my eyes anyway,even if he is (FBI)

It’s just too bad that Virgie Arthur and her team cannot be stopped for the continual harrassment of Howard. Just when I think she can’t sink any lower, she and her team find another way to harrass Howard. They do not take no for an answer no matter who it comes from. After all this time, you still have not had the peace of mind and actual litigation-free time to grieve over the loss of your dearly beloved friend, Anna Nicole, and her young son. It’s almost inhuman what you have to shoulder. I’ve been your supporter from waaaaaaaay back when, because I believe in your innocence: naturally you did not murder those two, and naturally you did more than your very best for Anna Nicole.

I am trying to wrap my brain around,why Don Clark is making such a (BINGO STATEMENT).I need a answer,as the 2 pills one of which was methodone,was found by the nurse,now if ANNA had liquid meth in the bahamas,and pill in california,I would assume danniel had to take it on his own.or what did FORD SHELLY HAVE,?Also if Danniel wanted his grandmother to be called,he could have told the nurse. DANNIEL DID THE SAME THING ANNA HAD TO DO,LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR LOVE AND HELP.HE KNEW (GRANDMA WOULD NOT BE THERE FOR HIM),SHE WAS NOT THERE FOR HIS MOTHER.

Please remeber the world loved Anna, and her dear son, now the world has been captivated by her daughter as well.
In the tragic turn of events there will always be those whom are cruel and unforgiving. There are family members who are still mourning these deaths. Knowing they never will get to say the words they wanted to share with family members who lived a different life, one may never understand these things.
My warmest condolences to the Birkheads, whom have faced so many losses in this past year.

hi art. thanks for your article about yesterday inquest. thank mr. bain for me as well. why is mr.mcabe taking howard deposition? don’t tell me that texas thinks she has a case against howard and cbs. she made herself a public figure. they are argueing stating she is a private citizen , but say howard is a public view due to the case in florida. they can’t have it both ways. i think vergie needs to go home. if daniel really thought of her as family she would have been put on the medical paper he filled out in california. maybe now she will realize that daniel and anna didn’t consider her family and leave the family that anna and daniel created for themselves a change to grieve. stay strong howard. we are rooting for u.

BINGO, you got that right, so the facts and truths come out. Why was he celebrating the fact that a young adult was so troubled BEOFRE he got to the Bahamas? He and the, non family member as clearly written in records shaking head as in disbelief, should be thrown out for that unprofessional outburst, that the jury so obviously had to witness. Some will not be able to come to terms with what most of us have already known. Makes for some good lawyer work before January session! JMPO, as always, they clearly have no business there at all, none whatsoever.

I am not sure why Vergie is filing a defamation lawsuit. She was never famous. She misrepresented herself by down talking and insulting Anna and Howard in the midst of their grief over Daniel’s death. She ought to have known that she opened herself up to criticism and ridicule stemming from her shady past. She should have known that the media would start uprooting her past.
Also John J N. I think someone should really dig deeper into GBT and FS. Were they not in the room with Anna and Daniel? Given that they were so upset over the house and also the fact that they had a key to the house. Everytime Anna went out, they could have switched things around. Greed is a very ugly thing and no telling the extent what some people will go to get their way. Their actions are purely premeditated. They saw dollar bills. Big profits. I would not be surprised if it turns out that they are the culprits in this whole saga surrounding Daniel. Don’t rule them out. They could have done that to derail Anna psychologically and emotionally into giving up the house??????? Stealing the tapes and running all over town selling to everyone and trying to create doubt about Howard as the fall guy is their idea of keeping the heat off their trail……

I would like to know if howards lawyer Wayne Munroe,got a copy of danniel,s counseling records?and I DID NOTICE DANNIEL,S FORMER GIRLFRIEND WAS NOT THERE,SHE TO MY WAY OF THINKING WOULD BE A GREAT ASSET INTO THE MIND OF DANNIEL LIFE,BEFORE GOING TO SEE HIS MOTHER IN THE BAHAMAS,Also,after breaking up with his girlfriend,he did not call or go near anyone of his (TEXAS FAMILY).HE WAS DEPRESSED,YET DID NOT FEEL LIKE CALLING A MEMBER OF HIS TEXAS FAMILY.NOT ONLY VIRGIE,HE DID NOT WANT TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANY OF THEM.

It seems to be coming out now that Daniel was fighting his own demons and it didn’t just happen on the day he died.
Prescription drugs for depression warp the reality in the person taking them.
I have been through my son being weaned of valium and it took 6 months after taking it for 3 months. Also Zoloft. He had no perception of time and took his tablets when he felt anxiety. He ended up in emergency. It was bad, very bad but he didn’t need to be admitted, just have them wear off. I hate to imagine what happened to Daniel to be hospitalised.
This is the reason of my interest in this case, it seemed to have a few of the similarities that I knew about. I was terrified for my son as he was on the same meds. After it all went pear shaped I was able to get him to my Doctor and get his meds reviewed and changed.
We also went to counselors and they helped but they also isolated him. I am still fighting the depression and anxiety in my son but he is alive. But for Daniels story I wouldn’t have been so frightened and worried. I know I stopped a tragedy with my son,I hadn’t a clue what these pills did. I actually took a zoloft to see and I felt like Ronald McDonald with his big boots. How you can function I don’t know.
I have also found it frightening how common this is in young men, it is an epidemic.But it is not a crime and it is not a suicide. It is a tragedy and it should be remembered that this is not an isolated case.

These are human beings whose lives have been devastated by loss. And what did McCartney’s testimony change? It’s still an incredibly tragic accidental overdose.

Daniel listing only his mother as a relative says a lot about Daniel and how he may have felt about his Grandmother and Father.IMO Shelly and Thompson won’t come over unless they are guaranteed they won’t be arrested for the thefts at the horizons.Sure hope that does not happen!!!!Art you are right when you say they are looking for anything against Howard that would make everything go their way.Sometimes I just cannot believe how people can’t see when the truth is shown,they still want to twist and turn everything as per Clarks bingo out loud when he knew better.It is like when a guestion is asked even if not answered it puts it out there to be speculated on.

It is very common for parents to help their children especially when in pain, perhaps Anna did not know what he took before he arrived. No one can ever tell you if you mix this pill or 3 pills together what the reaction would be. Because everyone’s body chemistry is different. Weight and height are the only true measures for exact dosage otherwise only a true pharmacist knows the exact dosage one should take. Perhaps Daniel just did what his mom would do
Just swag it back without any knowledge of how to take drugs properly. Why am I saying that is because some pills need to be taken before meals up to two hours before to be key word effective, or after meals or with milk or water some if you eat grapefruit can prove fatal like that antihistamine a few years back. People dye from drugs every single day in America and in the world, due to allergic reactions etc.
It was accidental it was not something anyone could possibly know that this tragedy would happen. I am sure if you could reverse time, this would not have happened it was not deliberate.
I am happy that the judge is waiting an additional 6 wks to render his decision because that will give him enough time to sort through all the information that he has to make a logical and rational decision on this tragic case, once this is done no one can say either way that it was done in a rush fashion.
Virgie your grandson did not want you in his life, nor did your daughter there were reasons, and NO one told her or him to stay away from you they did it on their own because you were so mean spirited and always wanted something from Anna, and guess what you know what you did to deserve this treatment. You have to accept this and stop blaming the whole world for your failure to rekindle the relationship or trying to mend fences which you never did. Suddenly when Daniel dies your are finally in the picture, saying nasty things than when Anna perishes you are there again commenting on things that you had no knowledge of except Virgie you have a keen scent for money.
If Anna were alive today she would still not have any contact with you Virgie, especially after what you said about her when Daniel died.
Now I wish Larry and his family my deepest sympathies, on the loss of his beloved father, so young, especially at this time of year.

I was thinking along the same lines. I only hope that the person who is innocent and has been wronged will one day soon find peace and happiness. For all of those who have caused the pain and suffering to an innocent man and the people he loved - there is no punishment great enough. I believe that when Anna met Howard he introduced her a complete new world and a different class of people that she had never been exposed to before (excluding Howard Marshall - and I think he loved her and was good to her) so Howard was a constant in her life until the end. My hope is that when this is over for Howard that he will be able to keep Dannielynn close to him so he can teach her, love and protect her just as he did her mother - his beloved Anna.

Give me a break! I assume they were asking for his next of kin. I have NEVER listed my grandparents on a medical form and I have filled out plenty. As a matter of fact, I usually only list my father as the closest relative not living with me. Otherwise, I list my husband. So, naturally, Daniel would only list his mom.
Virgie not being listed as a relative means absolutely nothing, especially when a 20 yr old is filling out the form.

the video footage clearly exornates howard. it pick daniel up and went straight to the hospital. he did leave to pick up food and returned in 30 minutes. no time to go by horizons. we also know anna took liquid methodone instead of pills. so daniel could have gotten those from california. anna was completely weaned off of methodone before dannielynn was born. i hope we can put this behind us and allow howard to grieve for anna and daniel. their deaths were tragic but accidental.

hi art. i was hoping u could clear up something for me. in the nassau guardian it stated there were six more witnesses that they would like to call. ray martino, larry, ford shelly and his father in-law, one of the doctors who performed the toxicology report and dr. kapoor. dr. kapoor declines to go to the inquest. in the bahamas journal it has added two more witnesses, the two nannies. but they didn’t give know daniel. so why is their testimony needed. i believe them when they say they never said to investigators about the gay tape , but have serious concerns about their account of the drugs anna was taking after daniel’s death. dr.kris was there and if anna was to be given any medication it would have been her or howard. they wouldn’t want the help to do it. when will this nightmare end for howard. the nurse who said howard left at 2am and didn’t returned until 4am has been proven wrong and can’t be located. i think the papers are getting this nurse confuses with the nurse who testify by the name patricia h. she never said anything about howard leaving. the news account in the bahamas and usa are using incorrect information and it is misleading the public. would u please clear this up for your readers.

Something is just terribly unsettling about this family as a whole. Daniel is sort of a tragic figure in that he was clearly abusing drugs at an age when you would think he’d be too young and healthy to need them for healing purposes. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had to use them just to deal with his BATTY family. Not surprising that he didn’t list virgie as family, he was estranged from her and who would claim her? She’s a despicable woman who I have hardly ever seen with anything less than questionable motives. Then where his mother is concerned he saw that woman gold digging every day for half of his life, and made a spectacle of in the media. Hopefully he is finally able to rest easily.

Now finally there is a balance in the reporting. The rest of the media reports for Team Stupid, while Art Harris reports the other side. So there you have both sides now. Did you take the media to task (FOx news, etc) for only giving you Team Stupid’s side of the story? Did you insist they also give you Howard’s side of the story? NO, you are mad at Art and us for daring to make up our own minds about Howard. You people have such double-standards. And the truth does hurt, that is what you find at Art’s site and that is why you are so upset.

I’ve seemed to notice, and sorry if I sound like I’m lumping people into catagories, but I can’t understand how the people that say their only out for truth and justice (with monikers that proclaim the same ) can have so much hate in their hearts and take such glee in watching people that actually cared about Anna and Daniel, suffer. Does it help you to sleep better at night? What kind of battle do you really think your winning? The right to be ‘right’. Sitting here shaking my head in disgust for the glib actions of a night when if Ms. Arthur really cared about her daughter and grandson and watched the whole film, how she could not have headed straight to her hotel room and cryed herself to sleep in her husbands arms. It takes quite a cold heart to slam a few back instead.

Somebody has to take responsiblity for not having taught Larry, Jr. how to treat a woman. Also, both men and women have to understand that when their “significant other” dates others, it would be wiser and more sensible to understand they are not as important as they believe themselves to be in that person’s life. Since Larry had both parents while growing up, it is safe to say that neither should expect a passing grade in instilling honor and virtue in their offspring.

Mrs. Seder…….For MUCH TOO LONG now I have felt like “banging my head on the table” in total fustration where Howard and Anna are concerned. I feel such profound sadness, such anger and it is hard not to HATE all the people who have hurt them. I can only imagine how Howard feels. Now, about Larry….It really stuns me to hear anyone say that Larry LETS Howard do anything. IMHO Larry could not figure his way out of a paper bag without Howard’s help. IMHO Anna would be alive today if it were not for Larry and his actions. IMHO the only hope for Anna’s little girl is that Howard will soon be free (from the WAR he is fighting) to spend more time with her because she needs his gentle, loving guidence and the proper upbringing that only he is capable of giving her. My hope is that time with Dannielynn can help heal his broken heart. Larry got exactly what he wanted (custody of Dannielynn)and no price was too high, broken lives and broken hearts were of no importance so I feel sure that he is more than happy to LET Howard clean up the mess and deal alone with all the legal problems, his broken life, his broken heart and his tremendous grief. I am sorry about the pain that Larry must feel at the loss of his father. I do wish the best for Larry BUT I also wish for a different sort of Larry. The best thing for Larry and Dannielynn is for Larry to watch and learn from Howard how to be a real man and a good father. Howard has a history with Anna and Larry does not. Howard can share wonderful memories with Anna’s little girl and Larry can not, so maybe it is in his best interest to LET Howard take care of EVERYTHING.
Mr. Nazarian……… I have total faith in you! You know more that you tell us so when you are upbeat I feel hope for Howard.

lay off of Larry. Danny lynn is not Howard’s daughter, she belongs to Larry and he loves her. Anna would be alive today if Howard had been stong enough to say no to her drug addicition. Larry did not give Anna the drugs that killed her or her son. We all know that Anna and Howard both were week individuals and neither one was stong enough to resolve the problem. Larry was the one that was strong enough to walk away but continue the fight for his daughter. Larry knew it was not a safe environment for a child being around the lifestyle that Anna could never give up.
I wish Howard all the luck to win the law suits and to overcome the people that have tried to destroy him. But Larry is not one of those people. Howard made a lot of mistakes in that relationship and he has paid dearly for it. He should just get all the legal stuff cleared up and move on and live his life.
Larry is doing just fine. He only need’s Howard for a while, until everything gets in order. Besides. Larry has been more than fair with Howard and it is a wonderful act for Larry to let Howard in Danny Lynn’s life. Louise, I don’t think anyone believes Howard would get DL. I certainly don’t mean to ‘trash’ Larry. But, first and foremost, I feel he is pawning off DL, not that I don’t think he should sell the pix, just maybe go about it another way. And I also think he had very bad timing when it came to ‘going after’ Anna for the baby. But, there again, truth be told, had it been MY kid….
Regardless, I don’t say these things in order to get DL away from her Father. Do I wish, with all my heart Howard was her Daddy? Yep! But he’s not. Just wanted to tell you, at least in my case, that’s not my M.O.

I have no doubt that THE HONORABLE, JUDGE LARRY SEIDLIN, knew the whole story to this ’saga’ and so, does the DNA Daddy,
and ‘that man’ that original ’signer’…that ‘one and only Howard K. Stern.’
I also think THE HONORABLE, JUDGE LARRY SEIDLIN, knew exactly what would go on in the Bahamas at the Crackerbox Palace, while holding Howard to that Court like a hostage.
I also think THE HONORABLE, JUDGE LARRY SEIDLIN, knew what O’Quinn and Virgie, and DO, were up to.
And I think, THE HONORABLE, JUDGE LARRY SEIDLIN, is a great daddy!!!

Speaking for myself, I do not want to destroy Larry. I vent my disgust when I remember how he needlessly went public with his dirty laundry. I picture his former attorney holding the basket of dirty laundry while he sifts through it.
I also vividly remember him in court in Florida mentioning the duffle bag, and how the judge treated him especially well, while with Howard the judge was rude and mean. Howard was treated like a piece of garbage and that was very disturbing. When people treat others without respect, those who have any sense will turn against the ones thrashing innocent people. I believe that Larry badmouthing Howard is what started this mess; once Virgie got on the bandwagon with Larry, then hell broke loose. Those two want(ed) to punish Howard because Anna chose the good man, at last. As soon as Virgie did not get her way with Larry, then it became free for all. Virgie’s mountain lions jumped through hoops in order to remember all those “repressed” memories of “events” that had taken place in Anna’s house, a house they never stepped in.
I suppose people who spend their time gossiping and concoting stories to outdo each other on hot summer nights, while shooing away those biting horse flies get tired of imagining the good life that Anna was living in Hollywood. They see Anna’s (their own Anna’s) picture on a magazine cover while they, themselves back home seat on a pile of manure, chewing tobacco and thinking: “How dare she live the good life in Hollywood?”

I am in total agreement with the way that so called Judge in Florida made it so CLEAR about who’s testimony he liked better. I also remember Howard’s reaction when it was finally said Anna would rest next to Daniel.
There has not been a ‘true’ kind word said by Virgie about her daughter since Anna disowned her over 10 years ago, that family only wanted money from her…she was right to make sure they were dis-inherited from her children and her money.
