For those who can’t get enough of the Debra Opri’s dogfight against Larry Birkhead, we offer The Court Documents detailing the judge’s recent rejection of all 25 grounds Larry’s ex-attorney offered as reasons why her fee dispute should be arbitrated, rather than go to trial.
Sorry, Ms. Opri, said the judge, upholding his earliar ruling, but he expects to see you in court for a pre-trial conference Dec. 20 to set the stage for a jury trial to settle the $620,000 legal bill you sent Larry, and how much you may get to keep, if anything.

Well Miss DOPE-RI better put on her big girl panties and be prepared to face the music….She will be lucky to skate out of this with dropping her claim to the money she stole,now sitting in her ten-finger-discount, account…
She may just have to FORFEIT her fees,pay punitative dammages,lose her Law licence and face CRIMINAL CHARGES for forgery.After this lawsuit is done with Larry, the State Bar of California is going to take a crack at her ass. Collusion is a big NO-NO.

In my opinion Opri is an embarassment..loud,
obnixous..pit-bull with lip stick! She took
a lot of jabs at HKS and now LB that are and
were unethical..reminds me of a school-yard
bully!! She should pay all court costs, LB’s
lawyers…maybe if she’s hit hard enough in the
pocket-book ..she’ll zip those “flappin’ Jaws”

Great news Art…I think it’s time she be put under oath
and tell the TRUTH for once. OJ’S “dream team” got one million dollars for a double murder trial with much bigger named lawyers than she is, and she wants almost that much for a paternity case!!!!NO WAY. I hope she has another profession she can go into because I think her days as an attorney in Ca. are done.

Boy, I had read that declaration of D. Walker in previous court docs. & didn’t ‘catch’ that the bottom didn’t have:

That is too bad that Opri & ass. [associates] asked & most likely; falsely ‘pressured’ Dana to write that garbage of a statement. As, Dana has now threw away a 20 year friendship w/ LB’s sisters & family. That kind of stuff isn’t usually repairable.

It’s hard to believe how many people are involved in all of this. I’m hoping that Opri, Rita Cosby and Virgie and their Attorneys are penalized in the end. Howard’s name has been attacked over and over by vicious rumors started by Virgie and her group. Jackie Hatten will not be able to verify her statements about Larry and Howard in Blonde Ambition because she made the stories up. I really think that woman is mentally unstable. I’m sure Virgie helped with that too and I don’t believe her investigator and his so called memory of what the nannies said. I guess I don’t believe anything that group says. I do believe that in the end Anna and Daniel will be able to rest in peace knowing that Howard came thru for them just like he always had when they were alive.

I have read all this and still can’t understand what Opri did = did she refer clients or someone to the gossip on Art’s site? I think she is the biggest jerk I have ever seen so someone please explain it to me. I read the 3 filings above and see Larry won the trial part and Dana’s statement was not allowed so please explain how Opri was referring people to this site.

I do not like Opri and didn’t from the first moment I saw and heard her rants. I do not like, trust or believe Larry and did not from the first moment I saw his face, heard is voice, listened to what he had to say and realized what he was willing to do in order to reach the goals he had for himself. IMO he does not deserve Dannielynn and the lifestyle he has due to the misery of Anna and Howard – Opri at least deserves something – she did work hard for Larry and he went right along with her dirty work and dirty deeds. They deserved each other. Let the chips fall – let the best of those two win.

Ha ha ha ha. My, my, my. I just love it when the tables get turned, especially in such cases where so much wrong doing has taken place. I want to see her bankrupt and really would LOVE to see her on every television station apologizing for all the lies she’s told about both Howard AND Larry.

I totally agree with ART and all those who posted. “Dopey” pushed herself in front of the cameras every time Larry was seen…personally I found her despicable…I have “coined” the nomeclature “BITCHES OF BIRKWICK” stating that “Dopey”, Cosby & Arthur conspired to get money…and to get it in every disgusting way that they THOUGHT THEY COULD!!!…
Sadly this case will play out in the courts for many years to come…BUT…I truly hope that “Dopey” & Cosby never get to practice Law nor Journalism EVER AGAIN…

As many of you know I served the lawsuit on Ms. Opri at her home. She asked me what kind of lawyer Michael Trope was and I told her that I would not want him ‘ chewing on my ass ‘. Michael is a highly trained lawyer, in saying that he would never take on a case unless there was something there to sink his teeth into. I would imagine that Ms. Opri may want to check with a medical specialists as to ‘deep bite’ marks.
Again, I am wondering what is her plan of attack, she has to feel the mood of the court is not shining in her direction. And we all have to wonder at this point what she is doing. It is a little like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Michael Trope is not going to back off, and he is coming full speed ahead! Trope and DeCarolis is not a firm you want to be charging at you. We will watch this develop in the days and weeks ahead! Also remember this, judges dont like lawyers to play games and this judge may have some thoughts already based on what he has seen! We will see.

Opri’s claim for $620,000 seems pretty excessive, I’m sure after arbitration she’ll be awarded a reasonable fee and this whole nonsense will end. This was just a sideshow anyway until the real showdown occurs. When Larry enlists the help of his better half, Howard, and they go after Anna’s right to share in the estate of her former husband.

Apparently, you are misinformed on a few points, so I’ll fill you in. Dana (& her family) HAD to distance themselves from Larry & co., once she (they) saw what was really going on. She did now “throw” any friendships away, she made a difficult choice, especially after 25 yrs, to not be associated with someone who is capable of what Larry Birkhead is clearly capable of. Of course his sisters are going to side with Larry, that is where the money is…

When Larry and Howard both decided to do what was right for the baby, she ran away with her tail between her legs because she wasn’t gonna be top dog anymore.
