Bald Truth Exclusive: Inside Daniel’s Inquest!

Flanked by her defamation lawyer and her chief private investigator, Virgie Arthur told reporters Tuesday sheâd flown into the Bahamas for the coronerâs inquest into the death of her grandson, in the hope it would jumpstart the âprocess of justiceâ
While Anna Nicole Smithâs estranged mother has been unrelenting in trying to tar executor Howard K. Stern with suspicion, even suing him for defaming her, magistrate William Campbell made it clear to the seven member fact-finding jury police had no evidence the death of Daniel Smith, 20, was a homicide, according to those who attended the first day of the coronerâs inquest.
If they had, my guest correspondents report, the judge said there would have been suspects arrested, and no need for an inquest.
Now, Campbell explained, it would be up to the four women and three men empaneled to determine cause of death after hearing from some 35 witnesses. “Nobody is on trial here,” said Campbell, who added that the jury can recommend criminal charges if it finds negligence.
âHe advised the jury this is not an actual trial,â reported Lincoln Bain, aka Mr. Controversy TV, in an exclusive interview after sitting in on court.
âYou canât find anyone guilty of murder or manslaughter in an inquest,â he told me, âyou can only make a recommendation to send it to a criminal court. He explained the police didnât have enough evidence to charge anyone, thatâs why theyâre having an inquest, or they would have someone in custody already.â
Smith was found dead Sept. 10, 2006, after falling asleep in the same Nassau hospital room where he was visiting his mother three days after she gave birth to her daughter, Dannielynn. A private pathologist said he died from a toxic mix of methadone and antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro.
Also in the room that night were Stern, G. Ben Thompson, the South Carolina developer who claimed title to Horizons, recently abandoned his lawsuit against Smithâs estate, and came out swinging against Stern on Geraldo. Several nurses are expected to be called to testify as well.
Neither Stern, Thompson or son in law Ford Shelley were in court Tuesday.
Bain tells me Stern lawyer Wayne Munroe told the judge heâd advised his client he did not have to be in court, nor does the lawyer believe Stern can be compelled to testify. “Munroe is the Johnny Cochran of the Bahamas,” says Bain, “maybe the best lawyer in the country.”
But sources tell me Stern will be there when the inquest reconvenes Nov. 19, and is eager to tell what he knows about the night Daniel died–under oath–and details about his accusers he’s never revealed. Thompson attorney Godrey Pro Pinder tells me he’s uncertain whether GBT or Shelley will appear.
In other court cases, Thompson has been a serial no show. Shelley promised he’d post a required $100,000 bond to pursue the Horizonâs lawsuit he’d filed, then kept missing deadlines and abandoned the claim altogether; Thompson has also skipped several court dates in connection with contempt charges stemming from the Horizonâs break -in… that could land him in jail if found guilty. In an affidavit, GBT told the judge in that case he was afraid to travel to the Bahamas after unspecified threats were made against him.
That lawsuit, initiated by Stern, accused Thompson of violating court injunctions in place to bar an eviction while their dueling lawsuits were going forward over Horizons; Thompson is now being tried in absentia.
Further clouds hover over the players:
According to an online real estate magazine, Shelley said he hoped to market Horizons for $10 million, citing its celebrity value because the late Playboy centerfold lived there. As recently as last week, he still claimed he owned the house on Geraldo’s FOX talk show, where he tried to rally fresh outrage and suspicion at Stern with yet another edited airing of the so called Clown Video, of Anna painted up and acting gorked out of her mind. Shelley admits he took the mini dv from the house the day after Anna Nicole died, along with other items like paintings Anna did for Dannielynn and hung in the nursery.
He claimed he did it at Anna’s request to keep the items, including Anna Nicole’s laptops, from falling into the wrong hands, but within hours of the Horizons’ “theft,” as Stern called it, her laptop harddrives were copied, according to a former Florida FBI computer forensics expert who examined the harddrives for the estate after police returned them.
Stern had given permission for Florida police looking into her death to examine the computers because they had no probable cause to search them or request a search warrant, state law enforcement sources tell me.
His attorney, Lin Wood, tells me if investigators in the California drug investigation want to look at the Clown video, they will have to obtain Stern’s permission as well, since “the property is stolen” and belongs to the estate–not Shelley, or FOX News, which has aired small edited portions of it, claiming it proves Stern drugged Smith.
Stern has called that ridiculous, saying Anna was playing the goofy, spaced out character called Lucy in her last movie, Space Aliens, and was deliberately trying to “freak out” Shelley’s daughter, Riley, for reasons the Shelleys know. It apparently worked since she can be heard begging Stern to call a doctor for “Bunny,” the nickname she called Anna. Stern can then be heard telling Anna to stop scaring Riley.
Shelley, who claimed he was outraged at Stern on the stand in Florida during the burial hearings before Judge Larry Seidlin, later told me in an exclusive phone interview he felt terribly guilty about their falling out and prayed Howard “would forgive me.” He also said he had no doubt Stern loved Daniel and Anna deeply and played no role in Daniel’s death, despite his police statement. (Yes, I’ve got a copy.)
Since that time, numerous phone calls to Shelley and Thompson’s criminal lawyer seeking comment have not been returned.
Two weeks ago, Shelley appears on Geraldo and releases a re-edited Clown video, restating his accusations of a stoned cold Anna hosting the birthday party for his daughter, caught on tape. Now, many months after the fact, questions have been raised why now? Why not? Could it have something to do with the Thompson-Shelley negotiations over Horizons going South (and Thompson faceing possible jail if he loses the contempt case). Meanwhile, Stern burglary charges against Shelley are still under investigation by Royal Bahamas police over the Horizons break in. But when Bahamas investigators flew to Myrtle Beach to try to interview Shelley in April, Horry County sheriff officials tell me Ford declined to meet with them last Spring, citing a conflict with a dental appointment.
Chief Horry County Deputy Paul Butler broke the news and his overseas colleagues flew home dissed and empty-handed. When I spoke with the Bahamas chief investigator, he confirmed the no-show, but declined to comment.
All this was happening against the looming book launch of Rita Cosby, since sued in a $60 million libel action by Stern for charges in her book that he and Larry Birkhead had a gay fling on tape that both deny. Complicating matters further: Cosby cites two nannies who worked for Anna Nicole as witnesses to the tape the ex-MSNBCer concedes she never saw. Nor did she interview the two Haitian immigrants personally, but cites an unnamed private investigator who heard them tell the story they both deny ever telling.
Virgie PI Don Clark says he heard them tell it, but their lawyer, Elizabeth Thompson, said on Geraldo she was in that meeting and Clark was not telling the truth. When she demanded he answer her questions, the Fox News analyst who works for Houston lawyer John O’Quinn, lost it.
“I WILL NOT BE INTERROGATED BY A BAHAMIAN LAWYER,” he snarled, dissing the home girls. She was saying her clients had not discussed the Cosby allegations in front of Clark or another PI he brought along as a “good cop, bad cop” duo, Thompson told me later.
Complicating the complications further: Bain caught Cosby on secret audiotape appearing to concoct a plan to pay the nannies thousands of dollars through Thompson for an affadavit backing up their story, audiotapes that have aired on different shows. Cosby denies that was her intention, and her lawyer has introduced her own tapes she says show a different picture.
Whew.
As for the inquest, before Judge Campbell reset the court schedule Tuesday as a Hurricane bore down on the islands, he asked why Danielâs grandmother, Virgie, was in court.
âHer attorney said Virgie was there as beneficiary of Danielâs estate in Texas,â Bain reports. âShe was sitting beside Don Clark,â a retired Houston FBI agent turned private investigator who has said heâs already interviewed two witnesses expected two testifyâthe two nannies who once worked for Anna Nicole Smithâand did not find them credible because he claimed they asked for money to corroborate a Stern âLarry Birkhead gay tryst reported in Rita Cosbyâs salacious best seller about the late celebrity.
Both Stern and Birkhead deny the account and Stern is suing Cosby in a $60 million libel case.
So many thorny issues, so many tangled webs.
Oh, and when Clark faced off recently against Bain and the nanniesâ lawyer, Elizabeth Thompson, on Geraldo, the host asked his Fox guest panel who they found the most credible. Guess who won?

I am glad that the Majestrate over seeing the inquest seen Vergie for what an imposter she truly is. Her present was not necessary nor ever has been. She chose long ago to abandon her daughter and her grandson. This is no more of a play then any for her to get her greedy hands on pennies that were never earmarked for her.
From what select statements the Majestrate stated in court today I dont think it will be surprising when the inquest concludes an accidental overdose.
The SC Crew needs to come forward and reap what they have sown. Breaking the law should hold repurcussions that NO ONE is above. Their absence and blantant snubbing of the Bahama laws reflects their character and lack of moral responsibility. Hmmmm I wonder if there be a way to have them demanded to the Bahama’s to face their wrong doings… or if they can be held accountable in their home state …
Being that I do not know the in’s and out’s of the US laws it would be a worth while research to find out

hi art, how can vergie arthur the beneficiary to daniel smith’s estate? since he died before his mother, his estate would go to anna and now that she is gone, it goes to dannielynn. he didn’t have an estate. he was only 20 years old and what he did have went to anna. could you please explain this to me? is she claiming to be his next of kin or beneficiary so she can file a wrongful death suit in his name? if he died in the bahamas, wouldn’t she have to do it in that country? dannielynn is anna nicole next kin and daniel next of kin.

what can of stunt is she trying to pull. she needs to go home to texas. she didn’t have anything to do with anna or daniel since 1994. she could have reach out to them, but now that they are dead, she wants to play the grieving mother and grandmother. if it can be proven she isn’t daniel beneficiary can the bahamas keep her out of the inquest. it not like she has anything to add to the inquest. i hope she is told to wait out in the hall. is there a way howard or the bahamain court keep her at bay. please let me know. thanks

VIrgie as “beneficiary of Daniel’s estate in Texas”? How’s that? Wasn’t Anna Daniel’s beneficiary? And DL is Anna’s beneficiary, right? Her lawyer said that? Am I missing something, or is the lawyer?
Glad the Judge asked why Virgie was there. I guess her lawyer couldn’t give “photo op” as a reason.

Although Daniel’s inquest is very important, and hopefully will bring some closure to those people who have yelled fowl, its a shame that it was scheduled ahead of those Bahamian’s who have lost a family member by accident, murder or otherwise, and have waited so long for a coronor’s ruling to be able to collect insurance. Pressure from people in the states should not have influenced the Bahamian authorities, if that is what happened.
Judge Campbell seems very astute and probably will not tolerate interference from some in the audience and their reasons for being there. At lease we can hope.

Vergie and ‘Team Stupid’ are the best thing that can happen in the Bahamas! If I was in charge of damage control the last person I would be sitting next to is Mr. Clark! LOL So many people are involved in trying to make Howard and Larry look bad, they have so insulted the integrity of the government of the Bahamas and it is officials! I am surprised we have not had a political incident!
This court is not going to be jockeyed around or influenced by some Texas sidewinders! The people of the Bahamas are watching, and are sick of what they are seeing! Howard and Anna were a part of their community and from what I am hearing they have had enough! And you know what who can blame them! People coming from the U.S. and throwing their weight around, and making demands! Like Howard the Bahamians are not about money, they love their country and we all might be well advised to learn from these wonderful people. And just as we love the United States, if the tables were turned we would not like it either! So take ‘Team Stupid’ and go home!
Missing an appointement with the cops due to a dental appointment, is that true? Hell, if poor Howard and Anna had known this they could have put cut outs of the cops to keep you know who away! Too bad all those personal items were stolen by you know who ‘just trying to help’.The Funny thing is you will often find bad guys dont like police stations, court houses, border check points and the like as that is were the cops tend to be! I am glad the inquest has finally began. We will finally get the ‘facts’ of the testimonies and evidence. I am SO Glad the judge explained to the jury how no one has been arrested and no homicide acccording to police.

How could Virgie be a beneficiary to the “Estate of Daniel Smith’? His mother, Anna Nicole would become the “beneficiary” by right since she was living at the time of his death. I do not understand how it is possible for her to make this untrue statement, especially when being questioned by a Judge. I do not understand why this is being accepted as fact. Is Mr. Quinn footing all her bills in hope of gaining a settlement if and when the Marshall lawsuit is ended? Virgie has no rights to her daughter’s estate because the direct line is Dannielyn by right of blood. Dannielynn is the only one who has the right to inherit. No one else, not Virgie, not Larry. I do not understand why G. Ben Thompson has been allowed to freely use stolen goods. He has brought them into the United States and our government has done nothing. He is still supplying to the internet and the TV, items that are stolen property? Why has no action been taken against him by US authorities? Is there no recipricol agreement with the Bahamas on stolen property?

Was VA there to take notes again for another future book fiasco or a photo op? She was not in the will, not in the estate, not executor, she is not getting Dannielynn nor controlling her estate. Anna did not leave her a thing. So other than stir more suspicions her way, I do not understand why she is there. If DWS did have a trust it would go to Anna and then to Dannielynn her next of kin. So is she saying now she is the beneficiary of his estate in Texas? Is this a fact or hearsay? This is new. She just wants so bably to be in control of something, when Anna clearly did not want her to be. So she can try to have his body removed? Anna was his mother and she decided where he would be buried, the end. If she truly wants more information as to why DWS died maybe she and her team can focus on the SC clan and what they were doing there that night and what they might have given him. But then she could not gain any control over anything that way, so why bother with the facts. Seek for the real truth to find the real answers. Who is paying for her trip again, meals, hotel, flight, makeover, and again in November? Is her estate that she claims paying for it? Someone is investing a lot of money to end up with nothing. She is too revengeful and full of hate for HKS all because ANS had him do her dirty work and tell her to go away, as he did to others that she did not like, at ANS request. VA and team should really focus more on the criminals that have proven they had a lot to gain, if they really want justice. Let these innocent people and their families rest in peace. JMHO
What is up with the theft of Horizon. Enough already. FS admitted his guilt under oath. He had the stolen property with him and no one took it. Even if he was a landlord and had a key, which is not true, he still could not just go into the house. He would have to give notice unless it was an emergency like a fire. File charges, arrest them, get the stolen stuff back, take them off the TV shows with their bs, file charges for trying to sell stolen goods, take their passports, and throw them in jail already. The only thing worse than a thief is a liar.

I would like to know if Danniel,s former girl friend, is on the inquest list,?i would think her testimony,would be of great help in determining,danniel state of mind before comming to the bahamas.i think,this inquest could show Virgie,how vulnerable,danniel was,she sure did not care,it is sad,all those years,she could have been a help,she was not.her fake interest now,makes me sick,she is not there for justice,she is there to find out what else she can use to harm Howard.and put herself and O gin in line for marshall money.when virgie lawyer spoke after the inquest,i got that same feeling,he made my skin crawl.

Virgie has sunk to a new low, claiming to be beneficiary to Daniel’s estate. This is just another tactic to gain control of Anna’s estate, when the Marshall case is resolved. Then she will inherit millions, instead of Dannylynn. I hope the judge and jury see through her. She will try anything. Art, I don’t know how you keep this all straight. I love reading your column. OK Art…I will not ask the popular question…I will just offer my opinion…perhaps Virgie’s lawyer stated she was the beneficiary because she needed to have a reason to be there, so that they were not thrown out. I am just wondering if the people who support Howard K Stern also are fans of the late Anna Nicole Smith. It is my opinion that Ms. Smith would have preferred to be buried in the United States where people who did adore her and did not ridicule her could pay their respects to her. I am continually disheartened at the blatant disregard for the wishes of Daniel and Anna on where their finally resting place should be. Furthermore it is exceptionally disappointing that one Howard K Stern has left Anna and Daniel alone in the ground for quite some time now. This, on the promise that he would never leave her side. Only when he could no longer control her and guide her into unfortunate situations he finds it safe to leave her. I guess I can see where he gets his security, Anna won’t be doing anything now.

It seems they started to “lose credibility” when they came out to set the record straight about the affadavit that Ford Shelley paid them to make. They were told the information in this affadavit was “not to leave their lawyer’s building.” Then how did it get posted to TMZ?
A logical guess would be that it was done by the only person having access to it and a reason to make Anna and Howard look bad.

I’m thinking that if Daniel died intestate his next of kin would be Anna AND BILLY SMITH. Maybe Billy is the door Virgie is coming through. She may have gotten Billy to sign a Power of Attorney to represent him for Daniel’s estate. My guess is that’s the way she’s going to try to sue for wrongful death. Who knows what she and O’Quinn got Billy to agree to? I’ve hear, and I don’t mean this unkindly, that Billy may be mentally challenged and someone who could easily be manipulated by Virgie and O’Quinn.
The one thing I don’t understand is how Daniel’s estate could be opened in Texas since Daniel was a California resident.

Sun - LOL, beleieve me, I know people like Vergie, and if Daniel did leave a shoe in Texas and she thought she could get a dime from it, she would go for it. My experience with these kinds of people is that she will relentlessly search for ways to profit from these deaths and has teamed up with like-minded souls to find any way possible to do it.
There will be a book, (ironically, Vergie’s book will probably villify Rita Crosby- now that Rita has dropped one of the balls) most certainly, and as many legal attempts to get at that money that the courts will tolerate. Expect to see ever more photo-ops ….
Really, one bought-off judge or “witness” is all it’s gonna take to keep the ball rolling for a long time. It’s a sad state of affairs when an individual … gets an “in” to work like this one. Makes me totally and completely understand why Anna struggled throughout her life with such enormous self-esteem issues.

Are you for real? Take that theory and misguided jibber jab somewhere else. Anna held Howard in high esteem and a true friend amidst all the other crabs that shimmied out from under rocks. I am a fan of Anna and BELIEVES in Howard’s innocence. If Miss Smith had preferred to be buried in the USA she would have bought plots here. She sought peace and felt that she could have it in the Bahamas a place she made her home. When her son passed she solidified that by burying him there and buying a plot for herself. I’m pretty sure she would not want people filled with disdain and contempt for her judgments and the notion that they knew her better than she knows herself, trampling all over her grave. A grave sight is sacred and not suppose to be a high traffic area.
As for Howard, he loved her and Daniel and visits here gravesite when needed. Do you want him to camp there. guard it like the “Tomb of the unknown soldiers”. ANS estate will have to go to CA courts and have Billy removed as a parent because he did not see Daniel or support him for the past 18 years. It is the abandoment statute. We have had it done even because neither parent contributed to the child for at least 2 years and all their rights ceased. We had guardianship of the child for 12 years and adopted him to have parents rights stopped because they were only hanging around for the trust fund.

To Stacey {#38} I do think about Anna, she thought along time before deciding where to bury Daniel. Then she bought 4 plots for her family to be together in the Bahamas. Anna’s wishes were not ‘disregarded’ in my opinion. Due to the paternity ‘actions’ and other factors…she picked Nassau. There is no way she would want to be in TX. Daniel’s father never supported Daniel, he has no rights! Biological father or not.
I hear that Virgie might want to file a ‘wrongful death’ suit on behalf of Billy Smith…this will not be accepted in the US or the Bahamas. Daniel was 20 years old, he purposely wanted nothing to do with his dad or Virgie for over 10 years! They were not close! They were NOT in Daniel or Anna’s lives on a regular basis, they have NO STANDING in any of the courts.
I don’t know why, [maybe greed] but O’Quinn’s team has to know these things are not going to be upheld in court. Maybe they think they can legally fool the Bahamian people, I personally think the Bahamians will be insulted and it will backfire on them.
The O’Quinn team might also think that Daniel’s father can get him ‘relocated’ to TX…then according to Florida ruling Anna would follow. Then Virgie thinks she would have ’standing’ in the Marshall case. WRONG!! Again, since Billy and Virgie were NOT in Daniel’s life they have NO SAY; LEGALLY for anything about Daniel or Anna or any of the estates.
Thank God they have no legal say on anything about that innocent baby girl either.

I am a Howard K.Stern supporter and I was not a fan of Anna. I became a fan of his when I saw how unfair the media was to him because he did not fit into their mold of what they felt a lawyer should be. I believe you have been drinking a bit too much kool aid. Anna is dead and Howard is fighting for his life and reputation. No one should be allowed to call someone a murderer on t.v. or in a book. I wish we could check out the lives of Geraldo, Greta, Nancy and all the other people speaking ill of Howard and publicly slandering his name. As for V, she has no shame. Anybody saying Anna and Daniel are ALONE in the Bahamas seems to be missing a very important detail. They’re DEAD. They’re not waiting for visitors to come stand by their graves and chat with them. They’re not alone and lonely waiting for a living soul to stop by. It’s nice that the two dead people have each other in the ground - but maybe it makes no difference to them anyway, since, as I said before, they’re DEAD.
Should Howard set up a tent by their grave and never leave it? That would be quite a waste since they’re not there anyway. Their bodies are in the ground because they are no longer alive. There’s no need for anyone to go visit.

I don’t think their as big of liars as Virgie and the SC crew, but they have lied. Over on Bain’s site, there is that famous so-called vomit picture of Anna. Above it, it says. “One of Annaâs former nannies has confirmed that Howard did take this sick pic of Anna. She says that At the time of the pic she made mash potatoes with bacon and chives for Anna and went to feed her.” Now we all know after the whole picture was released that Anna was eating something from KFC. I now support Howard because Anna would have wanted that, since he was the one she chose to keep in her life the longest, and she could always count on him. But I find your comment a little unpleasant. Yes he promised to never leave her and Daniel alone. By that, I take as he will never move away from the Bahama’s. That doesn’t mean he cant visit the U.S from time to time. Anna knew he would still continue the fight for the Marshall money, that means he would have to leave the Bahama’s for awhile. But it doesn’t mean he has abandoned them.
And yes, before, Anna always said that she wanted to be burried next to Marilyn Monroe, but she can’t be. And I’m sure back then she figured she would always be in California, but things changed. Her life went in a different directions when she got pregnant and then Daniel died. She chose to burry her son there, and it’s not our place to say he shouldn’t be burried there or she for that matter. I’m sure if she was in California, the press and ppl would be all over her grave..atleast in the Bahama’s there is a limited of visitors to her site, and it’s not a money making place.

#38 what a nasty thing to write, Anna wanted to be with Daniel, so she buried him where she wanted to stay so they could be near each other. I don’t think she planned on dying and actually being next to him but she did and that is what has happened. You don’t dig up people and move them around.
With the amount of pressure Howard is under fighting Anna’s fight I am sure he feels as if she were with him. I also remember him saying he has to visit her grave after dark.

Lived in Bermuda for 10 years, been all over the carribean this is Virgies Karma storms will form like I speculated in one of my postings earlier, later,and be more brutal the ocean is heating up…. and this court procedure will be indefinitly delayed.
Delays cost money for all parties that have lawyers working on time clocks especially when they have to travel very long distances, pay for hotels gather information and try to do their best in the heat of the day, with ceiling fans over head shadowing the walls.
Really it is amusing that someone has convinced Vergie that she is beneificiary to Daniels estate unless an older will has been found, that declares this as rightful information could be the reason, that might be the intent of Howard to declare Dannilynn as rightful hier to the estate.
This has to be settled first otherwise it is possible that the good ole windbag Virgie and her team stupid have made to be the most brilliant move that this case has seen in months.
If so than that means that were Birkhead lives is now hers, the belongings and rights are hers of Anna’s an the now pending lawsuit is now hers to fight to win. Remember the word COULD even if it means change it is possible….the news will come out shortly.
in the meantime pray for a solution to this situation no good is going to make anyone happy after this inquest Virgie is looking to blame someone for Daniels death, she will not rest till it happens even if it means destroying someones innocent life because she has trouble being accountable for everything she did not do to help them when they both needed her the most.
Emotional intelligence means taking responsibility for your actions first which is something that she has little of be patient with her it will all come out during the next few weeks. It will be an epeffany and it will be a brutal one at that.

Stacey, I was never a fan of Anna, I never thought one way or another about her. I had never heard of Stern before. So, no I wasn’t a fan of Anna’s then, but now I can say I’m a supporter of both of them. I happened to be watching ET when Anna started doing the interviews, and my heart broke for both of them. I believe every word that came out of their mouths. How VA could see her pain and not go to her and comfort her is beyond me,,,I wanted to Mother her myself. It was heartbreaking. After that, I was hooked on this story.
Anna, NOT Howard, picked where she wanted Daniel buried. I don’t think for a minute ANYBODY told Anna what to do. I think she chose the Bahamas because that was the first place she had actually been happy while living there and intended to stay there for good. She bought the plot, and I’m sure Anna made sure she picked everything out for Daniel with Howard standing by her side. I’m sure he helped choose a lot of things because Anna knew he was smart and she respected his opinion about things. A burial plot is the main thought when you bury a loved one. Anna wanted Daniel in a beautiful place, where she planned to stay and loved it there.
Despite all the crazy people who think Howard needs to get a job, life does go on even during severe misery. As for a job, I’d say he is probably working at least 16 hours/7 days a week just on helping the lawyers file the suits, and answer the suits. He is a lawyer, and he KNOWS the answers, whereas a lawyer has to take the time to get the answers from him. He has filings in other states that require him to be other places.
Why would you think he has moved? I have read nothing to think he has moved to California. Or was you thinking that Howard should pitch a tent at the cemetery? No one stays at the cemetery constantly and if they do, they need to see a doctor for depression, it is not healthy. Anna and Howard had some great happiness there before the tragedy happened.

Anna went to the Bahamas to get away from her past and start a fresh new life with Howard and her baby. Away from all the harmful memories and people that would not leave her alone. Now some are following her after death and still tormenting her. She is resting were she chose for her son and her family.

Everyone talks about the circus in Florida, now the invisible family and team are creating the circus. They act like everything is about them, well it’s not. All we ever hear is estate this and estate that. I have not heard them once talk about love. They are more interested in any estate they can try to get. First is was Larry, Dannielynn and her estate, Anna’s estate, now Daniel’s estate. Someone give her a piece of paper and write the word estate on it so she can have an estate. She just wants any estate, not love for Dannielynn. She should be home baking cookies for that precious baby. I suppose she is not that kind of grandma. OQ at first talked about the grandma that wanted to see her granddaughter. Where?
It is about one innocent man with loved ones that are gone. She did not want certain people in her life for good reason. Now the world is understanding why. Ridiculous for some to think they are entitled to anything she owned. It was hers and she left it to Dannielynn, with Howard as her executor. The Bahamian people are surely very hip to what is really going on. Hopefully they will take care of this nonsense soon. So very disturbing.

It was Anna’s decision to buy plots in the Bahamas for her entire family. At one point she may have wanted to have Daniel buried in the US, but once she found out the cost would be prohibitive, she wanted Daniel buried right there in that beautiful island. Not once did I hear that Anna was homesick for California. To suggest she would be homesick for Texas would be a joke. Accept the fact that Anna, like more people than you realize, did not have any attachments to anyone in the US. By her side she had the only people who mattered after Daniel’s death and they were Howard and little baby Dannielynn.
She found true friends in the islands, namely Mrs. Gibson and Mr. Gibson. She wanted to wipe out the bad memories she left behind in her country. The country, obviously, having nothing to do with the leeches that had sucked her blood. Sometimes people would love to do anything to wake up from a nightmare and find that it was all a nightmare. I strongly believe that was the case with Anna. Her dream was to start life anew in a new land.
Some people have an irrational need and desire to be with “family” even though it may not be an emotionally healthy family. That is why the family is like an appendage to so many people. Think of the appendix. Anna’s US people became infected and the appendix was on the verge of bursting.
Most importantly, Howard does not have to be physically close to the cemetery in order to be with them in his mind and soul. Anna and Daniel are safe. The only disturbance would be caused by some wicked witch grave robber. Not to worry, though, as the wicked witch draws a lot of attention when she travels in her hearse with cameras flashing. The island people would undoubtedly take notice and recognize the culprit.
Like Anna and Daniel, you too may RIP.

#55. I really think Annaâs estate could care less if Daniel has an estate, because he didnât have any money. He also reached the age of majority; he was legally an adult. People talk about him like he was a little kid. How do you abandon an adult, unless maybe theyâre disabled? That boat sailed a long time ago. Whoâs going to bring suit now, Howard? He wasnât related to Daniel. Some of you people are so bitter, youâre scary. Youâre too wrapped up in this saga.
Billy Smith was 17 years old, just a dumb kid, when he had a son. He was 3 years younger then Daniel was when Daniel died. It sounds like heâs still broke and not too bright. And BTW, when an adult dies with no children, his parents are next of kin (BOTH parents), not a half sister. I didnât see Billy Smith come running and sniffing around when Daniel died, so at least give the man that much. Dannilynn would be next in line if both parents are dead.
#60, we opened my fatherâs estate 2 years after his death to resolve an issue with the motor vehicle administration. My mom got everything, so we never bothered formally opening an estate until that time. I asked the clerk at the court if that was unusual. He said they had an estate opened that same week where the person died 14 years ago. So youâre wrong; there is no statute of limitations, just like thereâs no limit on how long an estate can stay open. Elvis made $49 million in the last 12 months. His estateâs been open since 1977.

About” Daniel’s inquest! OK” Daniel die from a drug overdose ” which is sadden’ but not unusual, How many of our young men/women have died of a drug overdoze. Alot of times we don’t know what our adult children are doing until its to late. Then here we go pointing our fingers at this person or that person, my “OPINION ” I can’t see blaming anyone, but that person for their own drug overdoze. An adult is more likley to overdoze themself. A lot of people are hooked on pain /sleep medication, maybe Daniel was one of them. Imagine this scenario and I am assuming you are a female: You are in your declining years and health with nothing to live for, so you suddenly decide to visit the neighborhood bowling alley. In time, the soda fountain young man treats you with respect, is pleasant to you and you suddenly feel a surge of life creeping up on you. It now seems that life is worth living but when you go home to a dreary house and crappy kids, you long for that shot of adrenalin that makes you smile. Eventually you decide to get married to the nice soda fountain guy who happens to be divorced. No matter how hard you try to be perky, your body is steadily giving up on you, slowly robbing you of your independence. One or both of your crappy kids begin to worry that you are failing fast, so they kidnap you and forbid your husband to see you. He is young, unsophisticated, he consults lawyers who are mostly female and admire his physique. He feels isolated, desperately lonely but nobody will take his concerns seriously because of your age difference. You moan, groan, cry, beg to see your young husband but your kid(s) tell you to keep quite because you are feeble and you don’t know what you are talking about. The old thoughts keep creeping up on you. You, once again, wish you were dead and soon you die.
While you take your last breaths and you look at the sinister faces surrounding you, do you actually make the final decision that the young husband who gave you some happiness will not inherit your pot of gold? If not, say so with a straight face.

Apparently you missed the ET report days after Daniels death. It stated that Anna intended to bring Daniel back to the U.S.A., Besides, she was distraught over his death, Howard picked the spots. He admitted it in court. Then again, maybe Anna didnt care where Daniel was buried, Vergie puts me in mind of Anna, you know, the whole letting her kid lie in a morgue while she attended to her intrests. In Vergies case, its money, in Annas, it was a committment ceremony and we all know that it doesnt take 6 weeks to get “committed” to your drug pushing buddy. Anna just needed a name for the baby, she tried the old guy, then found out about the vasectomy, so then it was on to the next ol joe. Howard seen $ and went for it.

The swell of indignity on behalf of the Bahamians is well placed on VA and her team of muckrakers! This is a god loving country and will never be dragged into any sort of evil doings on the part of anyone! The magistrate as well as members of this panel will do their job and will not need no help from TMZ, ‘team stupid’, and the magazines, Oh No!, Soaked and the rest!
This stuff does not work in the Bahamas, they are smart and self made! The Bahamian’s have a lifestyle that many in the U.S. wish for! For that reason alone they are finding this interference and insulting behavior on behalf of VA just that! INSULTING! And Art I am being flooded with comments from the wonderful people of the Bahamas!
We all need more coverage from people like Bain who tore the curtains from the windows of Reeetah’s little scheme! This is a Bahamian process and outsiders have no business trying to play the games that are allowed in the United States! And this Magistrate I think made that very clear!
All of you ‘with the ear to the wall’ keeping contacting me, your thoughts are very helpful! Also you are hearing it here first, I would not be surprised if in the future we dont see protesters venting their anger and frustration towards VA and her crew!

Ford Shelley does not deserve Howard’s forgiveness. This person is despicable. Shelley can pray for forgiveness till doomsday, but there isn’t any forgivness for the likes of him.
I wonder if Virgie is aware she is probably the most hated female in the world? There are no existing words in the English language that can describe how vile this woman is.
How I await the downfall of these two, plus many more.

Mr Nazarian,it would please the hell out of me if you would make sure the article on McCabe got to the bahamas,McCabe was doing so much BUTT KISSING, after day one of the inquest.it would make you vomit,it took a short time before SPLASH started picture taking ,and getting virgie,s ugly face on tv.This piece of nothing does not have a right to be in the same room HOWARD IS IN,I know filth like McCABE EXIST ,BUT WHEN I read what he did to that girl,I would love to castrate him.I have never been able,in my whole life and my nursing career, to handle this type of person.HOW DARE HE PASS JUDGEMENT AND MAKE ANY WISE REMARKS ABOUT HOWARD.THIS CREATURE BELONGS IN A PIG BIN,I WANT THE BAHAMA COURT TO KNOW WHAT THIS THING HAS DONE,AND I WILL PRAY THIS YOUNG GIRL,AND HER FAMILY WILL GET JUSTICE.

I have been reading on Anna,s thread,some think Virgie,was a good police officer,well I disagree,You better believe,today her butt,would be in jail,handcuff your child to a bed,drag her out of a strip joint by her hair,loaded gun in her purse,first one is child abuse,the other is crimminal negligence.those are the ones we know about,how many more that we do not know about.virgie,has made more money off of her daughter dead body,then she made in her police career.and she has been going for the gold for a long time.she will never come to the realization,she was the cause of Anna problem.Anna was on certain drugs because she had many problems,she was also unhappy,because she could never get her mothers LOVE.

Spent some time to go back thru your articles Art. I don’t understand why some say you are bias. Early on you laid out the facts as you found them and I don’t see where you deviated from that.
What I’ve gathered is Anna was a addict. How or why she came to that point we may never know. No one ever wants to admit they may have played a part of being an enabler or a huge part of what lead to an addiction lifestyle. I’m really curious tho if after all these investagtions are done if Anna’s medical history will be revealed. Somehow I think that played a huge part in her addiction history.
And from reading your articles, I may have softend on Mr. Birkhead and the opinion I held of him. At this point in time he now knows what Anna lived being a tabloid joke. All anyone has to do is look at TMZ to see how celebrites are ridiculed and harassed. I’m surprised Harvey doesn’t know what kind of toilet paper Brittney uses.
Will charges be filed against Anna’s doctors? Possible that the drugs were administered to help her to wean off of them?There were doctors in the Bahamas also? I think that Anna was finally after all those years looking forward to life. That she was looking ahead to the future instead of dwelling in the past. That she was finally going to have the loving family she always wanted. That Daniel’s death shattered that dream. Her story is one of hundreds/thousands out there. So sad that it didn’t end with a happy ending.

Vergie has a SELF IMPORTANCE ISSUE. WHO PUT HER IN THE beneficary list, ahead of everyone. If there was one. On the Texas side, we have Billy. Billys parents, Daniels Grand father. and Vergie.I would think all but Billy, would be in the same category. She needs a BOOT from someone to get her out of there. It is a ploy for her to be seen, God those people are vile

hmmm- Virgie and her “team of destruction” co-horts may have opened pandora’s box. Daniel’s “estate” in Texas?? If that is a fact (which I doubt it is), it belongs to his surviving sister, not his grandma. Did the best attorney in Texas and the ex-FBI agent not take that into conideration before making such a statement. Sounds like a SNAFU on the part of VA and O’Quin. Since JOQ and the Marshalls are probably all Texas friends, no telling what they are up to. Larry should end it all and order Howard to drop all actions involving the Marshall money. I guarantee, everyone would back off. They would not have a reason to fight any more. If they think they are not getting money, they will not stick around.
As far as Daniels death, that is another story that will work its way through in the Bahama’s. That is a wait and see.

I do believe Tompson gave Daniel the pills that took his life. I don’t think Tompson cares about going to jail in the Bahamas for stealing Anna’s item, BUT i do think he dose not want to go to the inquest because they will ask him the hard questions. Staying out of the Bahamas has ALL TO DO WITH NOT TALKING ABOUT DANIEL’S DEATH. Tompson and Shelly were the first to go after Howard when Anna died. Trying to descredit him the best they could. They have much to hide.
