I can’t believe her. Ha ha ha. What the heck is she thinking?? Then again, my in-laws normally blame ME when their son argues with them. hi art, how can vergie arthur call howard a manipulator and deceitful? the first time she met howard was in the florida courtroom. if i’m not mistaken she said she only talked over the phone with him twice. so can she make a comment like that without knowing him. can he sue her for the comments she made in this lawsuit? how can he be held accountable for something anna nicole said about her own mother? anna can’t defend herself. and blaming howard because she has been put in a negative light and could cause vergie’s ability to have the right to custody or visitation with her granddaughter. she has only herself to blame for not being apart of her granddaughter life. two, she has no rights to custody because larry is a great father. people don’t like her because of the mess she has created for herself. she tried to stop anna’s burial in the bahamas, by filing an appeal in florida and the bahamas and the way she threw the dirt on her daughter’s grave and then walked over it. she took a photographer from splash with her to view her daughter’s body. she has brought them twice to the bahamas to document her trip to visit her grandson and daughter. she is responsible for her own bad press. she did it to herself. i don’t feel sorry for her. i have never heard howard said one nasty thing about vergie, and i am sure he has stories that were told to him by anna. but he chooses to take the high road.

O’Quinn wins big money cases in Texas with thrown- together insubstantial clap-trap work like this? (The suit itself, rather comically, accuses Howard of being a puppeteer.) Damn, I’m in the wrong line of work! I’m going to Texas a be a laywer!
My best guess is that it was thrown together in an attempt to work some strategic angles, rather than as a truly serious lawsuit. It must be all fun and games in the Lone Star state! They got time for this?

Just read the VA suit/. Give me a break. Surely no judge would deem this a valid suit. Anns said those words and to try to prove Howard told her to say them????? Really Virgie. Howard sat there with his mouth shut and Anna spoke what was in her heart. And your actions today, i.e.. ” I LOVE THE BOOK”, referring to RC’s book and this suit only proves Anna was right about you Virgie. You are so low you need to look up to see down. How can you supply and “love” a book that defames you dead daughter. She is not here to defend herself. When she was alive, Anna defended herself by keeping you out of her and Daniel’s life. Take a hint. SHE HATED WHAT YOU DID TO HER. And I do believe she hated the fact that she hated you. She wanted you to love her, but you do not know what that emotion is.
By the way, the face lift did not help you at all. You can not cover what is inside of you. And the inside of you is EVIL.

I read the suit and I think it is another o’quinn ploy to get everything moved to Texas so he can judge shop as he is known to do. Vergie Arthur defamed herself when she helped with that horrible book that trashed her Daughter,no matter RC slant on it,Donnie also so I have read told about the beatings.So again ANS spoke the truth as she saw it from her childhood.If anyone can get copies of the Joyce Wagner tapes,that would be a good thing.Still can’t get over Beth Hollawat having anything to do with this bunch.She loved her daughter.IMO vergie loves only her self.

After I stopped laughing I would copy and paste all of O’Q's arguments on why she filed in the wrong juristiction. Next motions to dismiss on the sheer insanity of the complaint itself, costs and attorney fees and a restraining order. Then I would prepare for the next one since I have read that O’Q likes to file in several courts to shop for a more favorable one.

Anna was a righteous person compared to her egg donor of a mother.

VA is truly a discusting character. She is so full of herself that she will not accept responsibility for any of her actions. What good mother, would let her daughter lie in the morgue while fighting over where she would be buried. What good mother, would hold up her daughter’s funeral knowing her daughter’s body was decomposing. What good mother, would walk on her daughter’s grave. What good mother, would accompanied a woman to a party and pose for pictures and say RC’s book was great when her daughter was being slandered in that book. It has been alledged, that VA, OQ, DO,RC are all working together to bring Howard K. Sterns down. I hope they are not successful and I hope they all pay a heavy price. When all the lawsuits are over, I hope the public has a true picture of who these individuals really are. We already know the media are a bunch of liars destroying people for ratings. While they are are trying to show how awful Howard is, theyy are really showing the world who they are. It is so sad that Anna had to go through life drifting as she did because she did not have a real mother’s love. The world is indeed watching, and soon they will know what Anna knew, that she really didn’t have a mother.

I am sure this one will be dismissed. This is totally frivolous (and laughable.) Look even at all the other delay tactics with Anna’s funeral, burial, etc, that Virgie filed. I am sure that O’Quinn is paying all expenses even though he denies it all the time – where else would Arthur get all this money from to file all these frivolous lawsuits. I hear she is going after Larry Birkhead for the child too.

What would be my opeing argument?
*lines up blown up photos, timelines, and court docs* Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, meet Vergie Author’s five husbands, her son with an unneeded hole in his head and paralysis on one side from her leaving a loaded gun out and in his reach, meet the two convicted pedophiles she procreated with, meet the dead starlet with substance abuse issues stemming from years of alleged mental and emotional abuse she told MANY people about, meet the son she raised who’s been convicted of kidnapping and a whole host of other crimes, meet the stepson she raised still serving time for sexual assault. Now we’ll get into details and dates for your veiwing pleasure.
My Closing argument?
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, from the stunned and disgusted looks on your faces I see there’s no need for me reiterate Ms. Arthur’s history. I’ll leave you with the mental picture of Ms. Arthur taking a Splash News photographer to view the body of the daughter she hadn’t seen in ten years. Follow that up with her stalling her daughter’s funeral procession on THE DAY OF HER FUNERAL leaving her to bake in the hot sun just so she could get her buried closer to the money. Add to that the final visual of her demanding a piece of her granddaughter’s potential inheritance and then supporting a book that trashed her daughter in the nastiest of ways when she couldn’t lie, steal, cheat, and kill her way into the money.
Howard didn’t need to trash her, she did a pretty damned good job of it all by herself. Some lipo, a facelift, and some nips and tucks won’t change the ugliness she’s displayed thus far. Emerging from trash like that it’s a miracle Anna lived as long as she did and found what little normalcy she did with Howard, Daniel, and Dannielynn.

VA used to need help walking around all the time in the Bahamas. Always had someone helping her. She sure gets around good now. Just a thought. She used to be embarrassed by her daughters lifestyle. Boy she sure loves it now. She is trying to live the same lifestyle now just like her daughter. AS seemed to hate her mother so much, that I think this is VA way of getting back at her daughter. Very twisted. In her law suit she is saying HS kept her on drugs. Well, she stated in court that she left at a young age because of drugs. hmmm? Can’t have it both ways. About her lawsuit…All I can say is “copycat.” Those were AS words, so now your suing your deceased daughter’s words?
1. He was so dangerous that you delayed all court proceedings and baby had to stay with HS? And who’s household was so dangerous to live in? hmmm
2. The kind of person Stern is? What does that mean?
3. Plastered his address for all to see, did not use his Bahamas address because we all knew that one.
4. Once again, hinting to the fact HS had something to do with the two deaths.
5. Those were AS words and she allowed the tape to be aired for all the world to see.

Art, It really was tempting to take you up on your suggestion of presenting an opening or closing argument.:)
However, I wouldn’t want to be right up there with the proverbial “ham sandwich”.
I’m sure that the defense can get Joyce Wagner to produce her extensive interviews that she did with Anna, which will show that Anna was telling her story like she wanted it to be told, without directions from Howard.
As far as Vergie being a private person who had no wish to be thrust into the public arena…who’s wish was it that she appear on television and then have Splash follow her around to film at the cemetary and elsewhere? In my mind its already Case dismissed. How can Howard be responsible for that?
Question 1: by inserting all the drugs given to her, are they also working toward “unlawful death” suit?
Question 2: Since Entertainment Tonight is named in the lawsuit,and since you are employed by ET, will that have any bearing on comments posted on your website as evidence
of the public being turned against her?

After reading Ms.Vergie’s lawSuit” aganist Howard it seems to me that Ms. Vergie is Slandering Howard again and again,
like she has done form the get go.. This lawSuit sound’s like the book Rita Cobsy wrote.
Also the wording in this lawsuit looks like Ms. Vergie type this. Ms. Vergie can only blame her self for her poor mothering skills. And Anna was letting her feelings out. Ms Vergie caused Anna a lot of pain during her growing up years . She should be Sueing herself. This is between Verige and Anna, NOT Howard.

Upon opening arguments, I will show the court that my client, Virgie Arthur, (that pig sitting over there) will prove beyond a doubt that the defendant, Howard K. Stern, that mild mannered well bred, good looking guy sitting on the other side of the room, defamed my client, irrepairably (no less). We will prove to the court my client is nothing but a law-abiding, peace officer who wouldn’t hurt anyone. Never mind the fact that she left her loaded gun lying out where her three year old son was able to get hold of it and shoot himself in the head.
We will also prove that the defendant, Howard K. Stern has defamed my client, by severely injuring her reputation. Never mind the fact that she defamed him by accusing him of having something to do with the death of her grandson and her daughter and put him through a hell that will affect him for the rest of his life. No matter that she helped write, or at least endorsed a book that thoroughly trashed her daughter and the defendant. But, just never you mind all of that. This is about the defamation of my client, by this very nice, respectable man, Howard K. Stern. The same man who worked hard for my client’s daughter for almost 12 years and adored her and her son and baby.
We will prove my client has been treated with derision by those who did not know her, all of which is Mr. Stern’s doing. It matters not, that she has defamed the defendant over and over and ridiculed her own daughter and never mind that Mr. Stern treated everyone with respect,whether or not they deserved it. It doesn’t even matter that she shocked the public, by sitting on her grandson’s grave while Splash News paid her to take her picture, not once, but twice. One time she was even holding the Bible, (what a sweet lady). And Mr. Stern, sitting over there has the nerve to defame my client? For shame Mr. Stern!
We will prove that it is Mr. Stern’s fault that my client was thrust into the limelight, because it’s his fault that she tried to go against her late daughter’s wishes and have her buried in Texas, thus putting everyone through the biggest circus on TV (with a real clown for a judge) since OJ’s trial. Never mind that Mr. Stern was in deep mourning for my client’s daughter, even though it appeared my client wasn’t, in the least. In fact, she, at times, seemed to be enjoying the whole shebang. Never mind the fact that my client held up her own daughter’s funeral (trying to stop it) and made a late grand entrance to the funeral. No matter that the cameras were rolling (and she took every advantage of that fact) when she chose to make a spectacle of herself and show her hatred and disrespect for her daughter, by shoveling 51 shovelsfull of dirt on the grave and then stomped over it with the looks on her face that would surely have killed her daughter if she wasn’t already dead. It is the defendant, Howard K. Stern who is clearly at fault for all of this publicity my client has had to endure. It doesn’t matter a bit that she was in cahoots with Rita Cosby in a book that trashed her own daughter, because it was really the defendant’s fault that my client had to dress to the nines and ride in a limo to the book party in NYC and stand in front of the cameras and tell her couple of fans that she just “loved it” (the book, that is). Doesn’t every loving mother want a book that trashes her daughter, to sell, big time? She even had a complete make over (I bet that took some doing, plus some big coin) to look her best to be in the public eye that Mr. Stern had so blatantly pushed her into. And where was Mr. Arthur? O’Quinn was there with his arm around my client, but I don’t remember seeing Mr. Arthur. Maybe he had to stay home to feed the pigs. Come to think of it, why was Mr. O’Quinn even there? Hmmmm. But still, it all comes down to being Howard K. Stern’s fault that my client had to make all of these public displays of herself. Doesn’t it? Hmmm, I wonder.
And lastly, we will prove beyond a doubt that it is Mr. Stern’s defamation of my client that she cannot obtain visitation rights or custody rights to the granddaughter my client’s daughter never wanted her near. Never mind the fact that one of Virgie’s many husbands allegedly raped her daughter and that my client allegedly tied her to the bed post to keep her from going out, and also allegedly beat her. Never mind the other atrocities other family members supposedly inflicted upon my client’s daughter. The defendant, Howard K. Stern is to blame for the fact that my client isn’t fit to be around pigs, let alone a little baby. It’s the defendant’s fault for everything that has gone wrong in my client’s life. He has defamed my client beyond repair. Never mind that she was already beyond repair long before Mr. Stern came into the picture. Hmmmmmmm.
So that, ladies and gentlemen wraps up my opening arguments against the defendant, Howard K. Stern. Wait a minute here. What in the hell am I doing? Something just isn’t right here. I can’t, in all good conscientious, represent Virgie Arthur. I’m sorry Ms. Arthur, but you will have to get the likes of O’Quinn or McCabe to defend you. I’m an upstanding ethical lawyer and just can’t represent the likes of you. I do have my reputation to think of, even if you don’t.
Mr. Stern, how would you like for me to be your defense lawyer instead? We will have a sure win.

My closing arguement to a jury would be “Shut This BS down right now before it makes the whole world sick. We know how far my argument would get in a court of law. LOL. I know mommy dearest didn’t teach Anna anything, but Anna learned to talk on her own and did it very well, I might add. How can this woman(Virgie), in her wildest dreams feel she has been defamed by one ADULT when another ADULT spoke the words. Bottom line is she has been defamed a long long time brought on by that seeds she has sown. There is so much I could say about this, but I will leave it right here.

I have worked with some very mean spirited people over the years.
shown malice towards me
I have had coworkers and supervisors do the following to me at work and in front of other employees.
1) directed hatred or contempt toward me
2) ridiculed me
3) implied or said that I was dishonest
4) undermined my integrity
5) treated me so badly on a daily basis so that I got headaches and upset stomach from the stress.
6) caused me to leave work from the stress, the headaches, and/or upset stomach
7) caused me so much stress from dealing with this on a daily basis that I have had to leave work to keep
from blowing my top and losing my job blowing my top and losing my job
Does this mean that I could have sued every one of them for lost wages, medication costs and the mental and emotional anguish that they caused me? Could I have also sued my employer for allowing this too happen? None of these people as individuals had any money to speak of. If combined with money from the company it could have amounted to a pretty sizeable little nest egg.
Can you imagine what it would mean do to our court system (already overloaded) if everyone who had these type of things directed towards them filed a lawsuit?

wow. they are completly humiating themselves. wonder how ANYONE in the court room will keep a straight face! …..at least it’s giving everyone a good laugh though! aside from the obvious comedic value it’ll also be pretty depressing if this case doesn’t get thrown out…. it’ll make a mockery out of our justice system, not to mention wasting countless tax dollars that could go to helping homeless children! reminds me of the judge with the missing pants. i’m actually shocked that vergie was able to conjure up such a theory (if indeed she is the one behind it)… mind control? seems a little too abstract for her. must of been her genious cohort jackie hatten feeding her the theory. or perhaps it was mark hollywood hatten? well anyway, will get right back to you with an amazing opening argument that will blow them away. hope they read this column cause they’re gonna need it!

It’s about time that Vergie took a stand against Stern and CBS. I always felt that this interview was a purposefully thought out public “lynching” which should never have been aired. CBS should have been aware they were exploiting Anna in her hour of grief. CBS allowed Anna to slander Vergie without proof of any wrong doing. Stern was more than willing to participate in the “lynching”. Peronally, I hope she takes them all down!

At the end of Vergie’s lawsuit she says she never wanted to be in the public spotlight. If i am correct she put herself there first and Anna responded to her, correct?
There’s constant mind games going on with this woman.
No wonder Anna was hateful to her mother. I am almost sure this is one of the mental abuses she put Anna through on a constant basis. Start trouble and then place the blame on the nearest victim. Who would be the easiest for Vergi to do this to? Her own children. Innocent victims unable to defend themselves or even understand how a situation became their fault. She could bully her children and deflect all of her ill- parenting skills on the them by turning everything around to blame them.
A note to Vergi….THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!……..
Until you are willing to accept and admit the TRUE mistakes you’ve made raising your children the public will always see you for who you are…manipulative, greedy, and deciptive.
To all the Family Justice’s, PLEASE NEVER allow this woman to have any child in her custody until she gets some SERIOUS couseling. The wounds from physical abuse heal, the wounds from mental abuse never leaves a person.

I worked with a girl who was in an accident pulling out of the OB’s office. She was 9 months along. The baby died but they took pictures of the baby and her holding the baby as part of the grief proccess. I dont know why, but its done.

Ladies and Gents of the jury do yall have mothers,? well some are great mothers who direct and raise their children with love and respect. Can yall honestly say this woman had any of those virtues or integrity for her long lost child? Or dyall think it was bout the money her child could bring in for her as her reason for doing this frivilous lawsuit? I’m not sure either but Im looking to yall to make this decision because I trust your judgment on this…

My Daughter hada child that was born too early and lived only a few minuets.The Nurse at the hospital took a picture of the child wrapped in a blanket just before she passed.The only thing my daughter has left of this child besides her ashes

Ok, I’ll be the unpopular one. She speaks the truth. How can everyone base their opinion of this woman on the drugged out rantings of her daughter. The grief and anguish ANS was suffering was obvious, as was the fact that she was misinformed about what her mother said. i saw that interview, all she said was “watch out” & “be careful of those around you”. Turns out she was soooo right. Give that woman a break! We don’t know her, we dcn’t know the truth of the whole thing. In the end, it doesn’t even matter. WE decide who we will become, not our parents or anyone else!

I find a few things in her lawsuit pretty damn funny.
First, her “daughter wouldn’t sleep with a man so deceitful & manipulative” or whatever she said…yet she approves of her daughter sleeping with Mark Hatten?? And a fried chicken cook?? What did mama teach her who she should be sleeping with? I guess an attractive, young, well educated lawyer wasn’t on her list….lol.
Next, She says that by Howard being there with his arm around Anna during the interview, Howard made her say those things…lol.
Then, she says she never wanted to be in the public eye…right. So she didn’t think fighting for the body of a daughter that hated her, trying to stop a funeral, getting a new make-over and attending a book party for a book trashing her deceased daughter wouldn’t put her in the spotlight??
Piece of work. Her lawsuit has slander all over it. I hope Howard counter sues.

Alice, I respectfully disagree with you. If you are going to be a parent you better realize we influence our children. They learn through watching us and our behavior. Any parent who does not realize this is dangerous.
I am not saying we can not correct our behavior as adults but realize it makes it so much harder on the child.
As far as Anna’s pain, it was real and it was caused by her mother. She worked hard to over come it but became weak when her son died. Her mother behaved true to herself and showed the world why Anna had so much to overcome.

He was, as you say, attractive, young and well-educated. He was also a very decent, loving and caring person and most of all he loved Anna. She never let him out of her life and it seems she loved him as much as he did her. She trusted him – he earned her love and trust. She was indeed a very lucky girl in that she did have one person who loved her more than they loved themselves and more than they loved money. It seems Howard was the only one who really loved Anna. He wanted to protect her from all the evil that he could. We all now understand why, and who, the evil people in her life really was.

At the risk of being sued by others on this site – I must say you can’t be for real in supporting this woman!! She’s insane! I read (can’t tell you exactly where) that she admitted that her first husband (ANS’s father) raped her 10 yr old sister and she remarried him!! That says it all in my book!

You know I tried to blame Virgie,s actions on (THE CHANGE) but the more i thought about it,the more I remember she was always like she is now,SELF CENTERED,COLD HEARTED,AND JUST PLAIN EVIL,I liken OQ, to a dog,sniffing,another dog.OQ smelling Marshall money and virgie smelling Marshall money when this is all over virgie is going to have to live with herself,if you notice,Larry lost weight,HOWARD has lost weight,and virgie is fat as ever nothing upsetting her,someday she will realize,she lost her daughter,grandson,granddaughter,all because of her actions she lost them way before they died,dannielynn is in the right hands,the last pictures she look so beautiful,i am sure I would not want to miss her growing up.
