The Bald Truth Exclusive: Inside The Inquest; Spin Bullies Out To Use Daniel’s Death for $$?

Almost a year after the original date set for a Bahamas inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son, Daniel, the removal of two coronors for yakking to the press and a cloud hanging over a judicial system that rarely allows questioning jurors for bias, it’s inquest time again.
That’s right, saddle up, padnah! Yet a third coroner, William Campbell, will ride into a Nassau courtroom Oct. 30, to preside over an official death probe of Daniel Wayne Smith, 20, the centerfold’s son who died from a toxic brew of two anti-depressants and methadone, according to a respected pathologist the estate hired to perform an autopsy, Cyril Wecht. He tells me his findings point to an accidental overdose.
In the wake of his death, and the eerie accidental overdose of his mother, Bahamas investigators have interviewed dozens of people, from Nassau to California, about the death of what friends tell me was a happy, but recently troubled young man, who died at Doctor’s Hospital Sept. 10, 2006, while staying in the room with his mother and newborn half-sister, Dannielynn.
Friends tell me he was depressed over the break-up with a girlfriend, a sweet, shy kid who had fallen in with a partying crowd to ease the pain and social anxiety.
But police found no evidence of foul play, sources tell me.
No suspects were ever named, and no charges were ever filed in connection with how or where he got the drugs that combined to kill him. Nothing but suspicions fanned by an orchestrated roar of gossip, initially raised by Anna Nicole’s estranged mother who has demanded a say in how her grandchild, Dannielynn’s estate funds, are managed. Larry Birkhead tells me when he heard that and refused, she declared war.
Why has it taken so long to get a date? While the first inquest was scheduled fast, speedy inquests are rare. The Bahamas Journal reports it’s “an unspoken policy that in deaths of tourists or visitors, the inquest process is sped up to mitigate negative press generated by perceived delays.”
That could explain the Bahamas’ race to investigate initially, sensitized by Aruba’s botched Natalie Holloway probe…Then came official missteps that lead the Bahamas Supreme court to remove its top coroner, Linda Virgil, then Judge Roger Gomez, for mis-speaks. Meanwhile, lawyers for Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole’s lawyer and longtime companion, demanded a way to voir dire jurors for bias in a legal system that not only doesn’t allow it, but lets a judge pick a jury off the street at random.
In the run-up to Inquest 1, and 2, Stern was portrayed as “the villain,” said his attorneys, but with the recent splash of Rita Cosby’s controversial new book, Blond Ambition, potential jury taint is virtually guaranteed. The book quotes a questionable source who claims she saw Stern and Birkhead mid-flagrante delecto. Both deny it as a lie, defamatory and plan to sue.
Playing the “gay card” in the highly religious Bahamas, political experts suggest, may be akin to shouting, “fire” in a crowded theater. Might jurors beat a path to the door, or vie to dispense biblical justice for what Stern and Birkhead lawyers are calling concocted, and defamatory — but nonetheless an abomination the Bible calls it.
In fact, many believe hurricane Rita heading for shore has whipped up, or been whipped up by, a cabal of spin bullies out to exploit the harmonic convergence of hype and greed.
Here’s one popular conspiracy theory: lawyers using a mantra of seeking justice for a mystery that isn’t hire publicists and even bloggers to give the appearance of a grass roots frenzy, fool Bahamian officials into believing tourism is doomed without “justice” for Daniel, and generally manipulate the system — all in an attempt to hijack the inquest, use it to sell books, smear Stern, unseat Birkhead as guardian and install Team Virgie in the catbird seat.
I mean, you gotta give Texas and the pack of lipstick pitbulls some credit, if that’s The Plan!
It’s downright brilliant, even bold in its devious design. Scream long and loud, feign righteous indignation, send investigators to dig up dirt and sow doubt. Is Virgie’s billionaire lawyer, John O’ Quinn, out to divide and conquer, in an attempt to split Stern and Birkhead, by wearing down the weakest link? If he can recapture Larry as a proxy, might Virgie win control of what could one day be Dannielynn’s half billion dollar Marshall inheritance?
If so, the inquest could be a pivotal battle, relying on some 40 odd witnesses, some already reportedly bought or sold, to tell what they know, when they knew it, or saw that relates to how or why Daniel died? Howard K. Stern is at the top of the list since he was in the hospital room, along with doctors, nurses, and at least one South Carolina good old boy with axes to grind and issue all his own.
Enter developer G. Ben Thompson, who says he was also in the hospital room until after midnight the night Daniel died…Will he actually show up for an inquest after skipping his own trial on contempt charges stemming from the Horizons break-in? If convicted of contempt, he could land in jail…amd he’s already told the judge he’s afraid to come back to the Bahamas … “because he’d been threatened,” his affidavit claimed.
Threats? Perhaps from his Cheech and Chong days as a pot smuggler, who once used the Bahamas as a landing strip for his planes in the early 1980s? Is he afraid of threats from Stern, who calls such charges laughable? Might he be afraid someone will raise questions about HIS credibility?
Or might he and son in law Ford Shelley, who has admitted taking items from Horizons at Anna Nicole’s instructions “for safekeeping,” he said, be concerned over burglary charges Howard Stern filed after the break-in?
Would Shelley be willing to testify after blowing off (for a dentist’s appointment, we’re told) two Bahamian police investigators who flew to Myrtle Beach to ask him a few questions this spring?
She’s not on the list, but if we’re lucky, maybe Rita Cosby herself, the author of Blond Ambition, lawsuits be damned, might take the stand, and explain why she left out of her book information about certain inquest witnesses with a past…
…And family members like Virgie…A retired deputy, she boasts solid kids, like an FBI agent son, as well as others who have gone astray or suffered personal tragedy. Will a jury want to hear about son, Donnie, who got shot in the head with Virgie’s pistol accidentally; or how Anna heard the gunshot and saw him bleeding and Virgie screaming, family members tell me.
Donnie survived, he was three years old, but was never the same after that, his ex wife tells me. She was unaware of certain personal details when she married Donnie, she confides, like a 10 year prison sentence he received for his role in a group that kidnapped a handicapped girl and menaced her with a knife.
Thank God he never cut her.
I didn’t see their names on the inquest witness list…or their stories in Rita’s book, even there’s a way to spin it as a tough young mother who triumphed over tragedy… tried to rescue a wayward daughter as a stripper, before Anna married a billionaire and moved to Hollywood.
What happened to her growing up, to shape her, is an untold story, but you won’t read it in the book, or Anna seething as she did in an ET interview about her mother and “the rapes” she never does explain. Perhaps we will see the tapes subpoened again if there’s ever a final custody showdown in the Bahamas over Dannielynn, or the states, before Birkhead wins permanent custody of his daughter.
Nor did I read about another son named Larry, actually a stepson who says Virgie raised him, and urged him to call her “Momma.” We spoke inside a Texas prison recently where he was serving three years for aggravated assault and rape. He hasn’t spoken with Virgie or Anna in ten years. “Momma” doesn’t return his calls any more, he says.
Asked about the upcoming Inquest into Daniel”s death, Virgie told reporters, ”At last we might finally get to the bottom of what happened to my grandson that night. I just pray that we discover the truth about exactly how and why a fit and healthy 20-year-old boy died. I plan to be there every day to hear for myself what really happened.”
We’re betting she’s there courtesy of Splash photos, and available for photo ops at the grave….again, hopefully bearing real, not plastic bouquets this time. Anna HATED plastic flowers, we’re told…
But Debra Opri could be there to remind her, turning out for the Prom Inquest photo ops in that stunning, understated black dress she wore the other night on some talk show. A new symbol of her softer side? Was it part of the makeover advice she paid LA damage controllers $200,000 to dispense? Well worth it!
And, if you follow the logic, she wants Larry Birkhead to reimburse her for the expense, since according to her lawsuit, he’s the root cause of her new bad rap! She also claims he agreed to pay 10 per cent of anything media wise Daddy makes off the baby in perpetuity… all detailed in their so called media agreement…how she opened doors and primed the moolah pump.

Rita spins fairy tales (absolutely no pun intended). Who needs her to explain anything re: her trashy book, and who’d believe her if she did? The next time we hear from her I hope it’s at a press conference in which she admits she lied in that book, and KNEW she was spreading lies.

Art thanx for keeping us always informed as to what is going on in this saga……It really makes me angry how Virgie will go to any lengths to try and destroy her own grandbaby”s father, all for some money that Dannielynn may or may not get from the Marshall Litigation.I don”t understand how she can sleep at night she is truly a “Evil” women I saw this coming and it is a shame what is Happening to Larry and Howard two good men who”s lives and reputations have been tarnished,because of greed. It is disgusting the lenghts these shady people will go to get what they want…they all claim they care about Dannielynn but yet they won”t allow her and Larry to lead a peaceful life.It is terrible how greedy Virgie is. no wonder Anna wanted nothing to do with Virgie or her family…..TeamSmith will prevail and Virgie and her disgusting lot will reap what they sow. Too many accidental deaths, to much information, to many days later. Witnesses forget details, and some of those witnesses are questionable. I will say one thing which is disturbing me after reading the book and many others..
Hear me out, Crosby knew Opri and introd Larry, who got him a deal from Nbc where Crosby worked conflict of interest?
It gets better, I have been saying all along how powerful that Oquinn was, no one listened it is all about the Marshall money and he knows Elaine Marshall very well they travel in the same circles.
Oquinn is just a better salesman than Opri is,he will be there for the inquest and some uncomfortable evidence will be shown.His stradegy will prevail someone will pay for that death watch and see.
Imagine if Crosbys book is true, one thing in that book was disturbing was the fact that Anna did not break up with Larry due to a pair of sunglasses it was about a photo that he sold without her permission than it was over. Again that Birkhead is a greedy money hungrey biatch and Anna confirmed this many times when she was on Entertainment tonight. It is actually good that this is happened take a look all the attention is on Larry, not Howie and this could be a stadegy too. Daniels inquest is just to quiet the masses nothing concrete will be found it was flushed a long time ago…

Art, a very excellent and insightful piece. I have wondered at times what is truly behind the stance of some message board posters who are immovable in their belief of foul play no matter what refuting facts are put before them. Their agenda is to crucify Howard at all costs, at times needing to suspend common sense and rational thinking to do so. I have simply written it off to the hate generated by the past media frenzy. But now I do agree that there may be more behind it than simply hate in some cases.
Cosby, O’Quinn, and Virgie, the unholy trinity, have played the gay card to sell books and influence the Bahamian jury pool. It’s truly vile.

Something that I don’t understand is that “Texas” was suposingly some big pitbull of a lawyer yet in the courtroom in Florida he acted as though he wasn’t even on the same page as everyone else.

I want this inquest done and over with. There is NO logical or sensible way anyone could honestly think Daniel was murdered. He didn’t die of a massive overdose, he died of drug synergy from the drugs in system. Howard would need to have known exactly what drugs, at what doseage, and what speed of metabolism specific to Daniel’s biochemistry would give the result of death it did at the time it did…….in short, it was IMPOSSIBLE! The hate mongers can spin and salivate all they want but the FACTS don’t support their regime of wild, unguarded, and uncalled for hatred. Once this is all cleared up (and it will be, if the Bahamian government honestly thought there was foul play Howard–or whoever else– would have been arrested ASAP and not been free to come and go as he pleases) that poor man can take one more step towards claiming his life back. He deserves to have his name legally cleared and he deserves the chance to go back and sue ever idiot who suggested otherwise for all they’ve got. I know all the people riding on the murder bandwagon will just scream “CORRUPTION and PAY OFFS!” even louder but they’ve long separated themselves from reality anyway.
I’m actively praying for Howard. By the grace of God this inquest will go forward in a timely and ordered manner and the intelligent folks of the Bahamas will reinforce Dr. Wecht and the other pathogist’s findings of ACCIDENTAL overdose. Soon enough he get back to fighting for HIS name and being paid for the hell he, his parents, and his siblings had to go through. Start lining them up to knock ‘em down Howard!

I just hope the people in the Bahamas can see how corrupt alot of these players are. Virgie will stop at nothing to get her greedy fingers on anything that even remotely resembles money.
Howard is the only person in all of this that I believe and trust.
I hope to see Virgie get put in her place soon and hope those “good old boys” from SC get what they deserve too, prison time.
I’d also like to know why those Bahamian detectives didn’t stick around and wait for Shelley to come back from his supposed dental appointment. I’d like to know why they aren’t having their asses hauled down there and be made to pay for their crimes, scum that they are.

Everybody and their mama is after this one man. If there is an inquest, I think everything will be ok. If camp enemy (Virgie,OQuinn,Cosby, Opri, Stern haters) is behind all of the commotion and want Howard to fall, it’s not going to happen. I fully understand that innocent people have gone down, but I have the true faith that it won’t happen in this case. I don’t think it’s wishful thinking that I have, I think it’s True Faith!

“How do you know he was a troubled young man???” Well, Peggy. how do you think he knows? You think Art might have interviewed FRIENDS of Daniel who knew what Daniel was going through in the last few months of his life? Some journalists actually do that, instead of making things up.

Some message board posters at Crime Library have admitted writing the letters to the Bahamian newspaper. This it is a very small group that is dedicated to destroying Howard. It it my no means indicative of the majority view there or anywhere else.

Great post! I would like to add to the nonsensical scenario.
There was medical personnel coming in and out of Anna’s hospital room at unscheduled times. If Howard gave pills to Daniel, to kill him, he would not have known when Daniel would be discovered and run the risk of Daniel being revived and revealing who gave him the pills. These scenarios (including yours) also apply to Anna’s death with Taz, a trained nurse, in her hotel room.

I think he’s afraid of all these things and more. He won’t show. I wouldn’t show either if I was him. All of these shady characters are going to get their just rewards when and if that inquest is held and the finding is accidental death with no liability attached. Then it is time for us to party hardy!

Rember it was Howard and his attornies, who halted the inquest. AS they should have. There was too much adverse attention on him at that time. All the smut that Vergie, Oquinn, and Opri was spewing. And the guy who was talking to the press, that was removed. Opri taking all the lawyers, and who ever else out to an expensive dinner, on Larry’s dime. They at that time were all working against Howard. The juisist, there are kind of innocent i believe about all the junk that these players were were spreading around. Now i believe, the all the trash of the Oquinn OPri ect. team, is about them, I do not think there will be any trouble for Howard. THere is no way , he did anything wrong, except maybe to say that Anna gave Daniel something to sleep, because Daniel could not,fall asleep on his own. and she not knowing what he had taken before. But Howard would never say that. I thought perhaps that is why Anna went really out of control, when she found her son dead, and if she blamed herself, she could not live with that. NOW that is just a suposition. but it could have happened. what ever happened, Howard needs this inquest, to clear him. It seems to me that Howard “the only honest and decent one among them all” was caught up in the middle of all these horrible people for one simple and beautiful reason - he loved Anna. He loved her so much that he was forced to associate with all the lying low life scum that associated with her for one reason or another. If he had not loved Anna - never in a million years would he ever associate with the likes of any of them - they know it and enjoy their attempt to drag him down to their level - it never happen and none of them would, or will ever, have another chance at at getting up close and personal with someone as decent and with as much class as Howard and I think they all have a real problem with him because of that. The main focus is the money and media attention but I think that plays into it as well for some of them.
I am worried to death that the inquest will not be fair to Howard.

It seems every one who was ever involved in the Anna Nicole tragedy is all over the map and media with each their own spin, including Larry B. I am sad to say. It seems Howard Stern is the only one who has tended to stay in the background and try to do the right thing for Anna and both her children. Maybe after the inquest things will settle down for Mr. Stern. I tend to think we will continue to see Larry B. in the media with the little girl. I just hope his motives are good in all areas of the continuing saga. It is also of interest that so called media hosts like Gretta VS, and others do not appear to have much interest in the story since it appears they might have been wrong about their suggestions of criminal behavior by Mr. Stern. No ratings in the real truth you think?

IMO and reinforced by a number of articles I’ve read over the months from interesting but not commonly known sources, it becomes more clear, especially with RC’s new book of trash coming out when it did, that this has all been a very dark plan by individuals and their paid off henchmen/women, to go to any lengths to insure that the big payoff never gets paid out and the money stays in the family. Sounds like this plan is/was to eliminate and destroy by whatever means, once and for all, as in “enough already!”, all the potential $$ recipients and the “public embarassment” (including even mockery and disrespect via ANS show openings and one particular segment) they caused to this private family over the years by misguidedly feeling they deserved & would only settle for a really, really large piece of the pie.
So, has Vergie been lied to and told crazy false stories and set up “unknowingly” to be part of this plan? OQ sure appears to have a bigger agenda than helping out the poor grandma. As no. 5, mentions above, he travels in same circles as Elaine Marshall??? That’s a real “connect the dots” verification.
The more this drags on in the public arena, the more transparent everything becomes in spite of the many multi-layered levels and assorted side agendas this story has. I don’t believe HKS killed anyone, either on purpose or by accident. My sympathy and prayers go out to HKS, his parents and family members suffering through this sordid story, and LB’s family also.
For all those that hate Virgie: Yes, she did say all the wrong things on national TV about her daughter and her actions were not ones we would expect from anyone’s mother. I do however, feel sorry for Virgie on her losses and forgive her actions, as I sense she may just be a “lied-to dupe” and unknowing player in the “plan”.
This unfortunately is the most interesting, tragic, multi-layered, riveting story of the year. Art, I’m glad you are keeping those interested in truth, updated with your excellent articles….thank you.

This inquest has not nor ever been about Daniel per say nor any fear of Howard’s. It’s been apparent all the way through Wayne Monroe has political reasons to have challenged the Bahamian Justice System to up grade and use this case to do exactly that.
The man is head of the Bar Association and found perfect opportunity to challenge the process the Inquest hearings have been handled in the past, Howard stepped aside and allowed Monroe to do exactly that; nothing more, nothing less.
Daniel for all purposes was sweet,shy and according to Anna a computer geek thus very intelligent also. You must consider this young man was raised where drugs were plentiful,he had a knowledge of them and what they accomplished. He was hospitalized in California for stomach problems and given medication. He knew how to take it on his ownand I doubt anyone forced them down his throat. Ray Matino is telling in that he gave Daniel 2 Valium because the young man accepted them with out fear or reserve, thus telling he had taken them before.
It’s time to take the Martyred Stigma off Daniel Smith and accept the fact that he knew what drugs were,he knew what feeling they gave and he took themby his own choice. The when will come out in the Official M.E. report at the inquest.

Anne, as usual, I agree with everything you say and I know Howard loved Anna and as a result, he has had to put up with more than anyone should have to endure, because of all these horrible, evil people.
He is all class, that is so obvious, and you are right that he would never associate himself with these people. No one should have to go through this because they loved someone the way Howard loved Anna. I pray all these evil people will all go up in smoke from their own fires. Your website is now widely ready in depth for news by the haters as well as the rest of us who support Howard. Dealing with the haters is another story and one that only you can judge as to putting their hate-filled posts through or not. They are TMZ people, many of whom are banned and wish their voices to be heard to a larger audience.
The warcry of ‘Justice for Daniel’ translated into hater jargon really means a jury verdict recommending charges be filed against Howard. They make no bones about it. This is the only ‘justice’ that is acceptable to any of them.
However, we all know the term justice and what it has to do with the law and that the purpose of any inquest is to resolve any questions regarding the death of someone.the questions remains can and will these people accept the findings of the coroner or not?

Ha some people who write on sites are quite funny. One poster on CL has made ten email accounts up to write to the Bahamas to get the inquest started and threatening them with lack of tourism etc. I think its sad that some of these people sit on CL with maybe 5 to 10 names each just to trash Howard and say over and over how they hope he will be brought to justice for Anna and Daniel. After the autopsy results for Anna were found to be what they were..it was well they was bought etc a n d according to these sick people if Howard isnt charged with anything then the Bahamian courts will be crooked too. Oh yea and Seidlen is apparently also for not giving Vergie the body. These people really need to get a life. JMO

Dear Art …..Read your article. I was wondering where you got the information that Mr. Welch was highly respected.? I wonder if you have ever read about his Indictment of 80 some counts. About him using County Workers for his own business, or for a few years giving the bodies of the dead without relatives to the university for lab space for his company. One body did have relatives. Did you ever read about any of this? Mr. Welch is know in the community as one who sells his opinion and is paid well for his assessments. Anna or Howard paid him 100 thousand for his results. He complained on National TV that he was not paid. But soon after he did get paid. The problem is the results the pathologists got in the Bahamas is different than Mr. Welch’s. I read in the Bahamian paper that they also do not rescept his opinion as you do. This will be an Inquest into the death of Daniel. Nothing more or less. All the other baggage you address is worthless ranting. Most of it seems to be biased. I will wait for the Court to decide the result. I think you do a diservice to all in how your present your article.

You did not like what I wrote about, how you write for your audience and present slanted opinions of the truth. Journalist are supposed to present the facts. Cyril Wecht is an extremely good pathologist. Do you think Anna would have wanted a lesser one to find out the cause of her son’s death? I would have chosen Wecht too.

Havana I know where VA was working at that time and also that it was determined to be an acident. The point I was trying to make was that since Texas Has a permit to carry concealed did VA have a permit at that time.And we have had quite a few people charged because they had a loaded gun even if hidden where a child might find it.Back then they

Does that make it BETTER or WORSE? IF we’re all so into accountability, where is accountability when it comes to Virgie? She had a loaded gun in her purse and look at what happened. She should have been charged with NEGLIGENCE, whether it was an ACCIDENT or NOT. That tragedy happened because she didn’t take care to put her purse in a place where it was safe and secure. Some great mom she was. Did she keep the bleach next to the lemonaide, too?

Im with ya hun !! Vergie is one pathetic excuse for a human .. Her conduct as a mother is horrendous …to think she was permitted to procreate … and after all the issues she had with her children, let alone the numerous husbands and boyfriends she paraded around infront of them. ughh she makes me physically sick really … to think her children have to admit that is their mother … I wonder if they ever realized that drinking her koolaid was the reason they had sooo many problems … ughhh **gag**gag**

hmmm … regardless where VA worked there is NO excuse for leaving a loaded or unloaded weapon within reach of any child … or anyone for that matter. It is irresponsible to be sooo neglectful. Hell I put my lighters on the top shelve in the cupboards to ensure no wondering hands touch them. Parents “child proof” their homes to curb the chances of at home accidents … to leave a weapon of any caliber is just simply WRONG ….
Aside from personal feelings of VA … that situation alone speaks volumes of her character and her personal set of morals and values let alone her appreciation of her children. Considering the stories we’ve heard since .. well it hits the nail on the head that she alone is a questionable person … ughhh … prime case for any shrink thats for sure …

I have a question,that has been on my mind.Virgie was a police officer for some time,watching her actions,and her accusing her daughter and howard,of having something to do with danniel,s death.after not seeing either of them for 10 years,watching all her actions,how in the world,did she handle other problems for the police department.what was her judgement like,god only knows if she did not like someone what she did,and if she can shoot her son and it was called an accident,what else was covered up?

As I was reading through the comments posted on this article I had a light bulb moment. I’m sure that Virgie wants any money that she can get from all of this. Another thought is that maybe Virgie is trying to get revenge on Anna. Think about it. Anna kept Daniel from Virgie. Anna had more money and fame than Virgie (some people are jealous of their own children). Anna would never have let Virgie near Dannielynn. Virgie tried to keep Anna from being buried in the Bahamas with Daniel. Virgie showed her disrespect for her own daughter by causing Anna to lay in the coroner’s cooler while she was involved in a court battle over Anna’s body instead of letting her be buried. She took Splash to the viewing of Anna’s body. Again disrespecting Anna. She caused the hearse carrying Anna’s body to the church to sit in the road waiting for the verdict in her attempt to stop the funeral. Again disrespect for Anna. Then there was the shoveling of all the dirt on Anna’s grave and walking on the grave. Where I come from walking on a grave is disrespectful of the dead. I bet it’s the same in Texas. Does this sound like a loving mother or an angry revenge seeking woman?

Virgie said over and over that all she wanted was to be a grandmother to Dannielynn. Then O’Quinn started saying on TV that Virgie wanted custody of Dannielynn and she wanted to raise Dannielynn. Was O’Quinn’s plan from the beginning to use Virgie to increase his own coffers? Was the potential for making millions of $$$ for himself too tempting for O‘Quinn to pass up? He said he spent $400,000.00 of his own money for Virgie’s case. Do we really think he spent $400,000.00 out of the goodness of his heart? Was he expecting a large return on his investment if Virgie won custody Dannielynn? What if O’Quinn lays out a plan for Virgie in which she can have millions of $$$ at her disposal from various media sources and possibly money from the Marshall estate? To gain access to all of these millions of $$$ Virgie has to have custody of Dannielynn. Was the prospect of having millions of $$$ at her disposal so tempting to Virgie that she changed her plans of just wanting to be a grandmother to wanting full custody of Dannielynn?

Virgie wanted custody of Dannielynn from the get go. She wasn’t fooling anybody. She went straight to the Bahamas after Anna died, why? to get Dannielynn. But there was a hitch in her get along(Howard). He was the blocker in all of this. That is part of the reason they hate him, along with them just being plain ignorant. Howard stopped Virgie dead in her tracks. In reality, he stopped ALL of them from taking Anna’s belongings and destroying everything that she worked for. I’m glad Virgie got nothing and she won’t get anything. I know what she wishes would happen, but it’s not going to happen. I still say she’s done.

TO Sarah,I believe Virgie never changed her plans,Virgie,s plan goes way back, when anna first met marshall,VIRGIE,S STATEMENT OF JUST WANTING TO BE GRANDMA WAS A SMOKE SCREEN.She thought Larry was a pushover.so you destroy HOWARD AND WORK ON LARRY.Virgie had a lawyer,that was so busy trying to even the playing field,he let his guard down VIRGIE was playing to the womwn of the bahamas,that,s what she has been doing right along.that is why she was at the gravesite with a bible,if OQ KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT HER PLAN MIGHT HAVE WORKED.THAT IS WHY IN THE BOOK LARRY AND HOWARD WERE GAY,NOT A LIFE STILL IN THE BAHAMAS VIRGIE FIGURED BY THE TIME ANYONE COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT SHE WAS DOING,SHE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER WAY
