Exclusive: Anna Diary Threat Letter #2: Lin Wood To Auction House: Don’t Do It! Hollywood Collector Tells Me: Not Stolen!
He’s been a busy attack dog for Howard K. Stern.
First attorney Lin Wood demands the Heritage auction house in Dallas yank Anna Nicole’s diaries off the block for sale, claiming they were stolen. That was Thursday. When they decline, he fires off another letter today that you can read here exclusively, warning that the title to the two diaries’ is “vague,” and how the diaries were acquired is “questionable.” Threat Letter #2
Next, he drops a bombshell lawsuit for defamation against Virgie’s Texas lawyer for trashing Howard K. Stern on national television. Can hardly remember how many times the 10-gallon Texan spat out the word, “Murderer,” along with Debra Opri, Virgie Arthur and others, perhaps gambling that slander would make it true and no talk show host would stop them because the M Word makes great TV!
Now, we can expect O’Quinn to file a wrongful death claim against Stern by conjuring legal standing for a grandmother other lawyers tell me has none at all, but it appears anything goes if it spins Virgie Arthur closer to her payday, and diverts attention from professional screamers. In the hypothetical case against Stern, O’Quinn surely knows it’s unfair to blame even an alleged enabler for the accidental death of an adult addict, or alcoholic. So who will be next? Ford Shelley?
Whew! It’s a wonder Wood has any energy left for a big baseball game in Atlanta this weekend.
As for Wood’s letter, he claims the man who sold Anna Nicole’s diaries to Hollywood collector David Elkouby at his store, Starworld on Hollywood Blvd., is unnamed and the circumstances too “vague” to prove the seller actually owned them, or acquired them lawfully, so if the auction goes forward tomorrow, as Heritage tells me it will, guess we can expect another lawsuit soon .
But Elkouby says he bought them lawfully from an unnamed dude who wandered into his store three years ago and said Anna Nicole had thrown them out, and did he want them. He paid a pittance, he says, but can’t look over his shoulder at what might have been had he not then sold them to a collector named Thomas Riccio of Unversal Rarities who sold it to the guy who handed it to the Dallas auction house.

In this case, it seems to me that Stern/Wood will have to prove they were stolen. As I recall, the owner was on TV right after Anna’s death, before he sold them on eBay. With Anna on drugs and so irresponsible, it seems like it would be impossible to prove they were stolen.

One of those goofball idiots selling diaries was on a YouTube Video, near the end, he confessed to killing Anna Nicole.
Now can I get a lawyer to defend me for witnessing this jerk, I’m having nightmares?
He must know the Shelley guy or his dad.

Seems to me that it would be impossible for the “owner” to prove how he acquired someone elses diaries without stealing them…

Thanks for the updates Art!!
I have a hunch Mr. L. Wood already has proof they were indeed stolen.
When the break-in occured at Horizons the day after Anna died, Amoung the list of stolen personal possessions were Anna’s diaries.
Of course, if you look on the internet, it seems everybody has a logical explantion for having possession of them.
Some articles go as far as to say, these Diaries up for auction are not the same ones that were stolen.
We shall see soon enough

Art Harris is Lin Wood’s mouthpiece didn’t do his homework. The owner of the auction house was on Greta. Wood DID NOT file a temporary restraining order or temporary injunction banning the sale from going forward, OR SHOWING CAUSE. The sale goes forward tomorrow. These items have been around for YEARS, they were NOT part of the Horizons items taken after the death of ANS.

DEAR ART,
Ya know what, I take pictures of everything in my house, for insurance purposes, I keep the pictures in a safe location.
And I’m not even a Lawyer.

Where is any type of police report about these diaries Art Harris? What kind of “investigative reporter are you? You post allegations by Lin Wood without a shred of supporting factual documents backing them up.

One of those goofball idiots selling diaries was on a YouTube Video, near the end, he confessed to killing Anna Nicole.
His name is Thomas Riccio, seen him on TV tonight.
Doubt this info is needed, or helpful.

Lin Wood cannot keep his diaries straight. These are not the same diaries that were at Horizons and the original owner has had them for years.
Finders keepers. If they were retreaved from the trash as the original owner claims, then they belonged to them.
If they were stolen, Anna should have filed a police report.
Lin Wood is in left field and is out of his league. I would love to hear him explain all of the improprieties his client has done. No wonder the baby give up was so simple once the DNA was ordered.

I forgot to add that perhaps Stern does not want these diaries to get out in the public because there may be something in there which proves Anna committed perjury. Or something which would hurt the money hunt appeal.

As far as police reports… I remember these diaries being listed as stolen from the Horizons, but also, some talk about another set of diaries stolen from ANS’s Texas ranch. Well, the job of investigative reporters such as Art Harris is to spotlight questions, which he is doing right now. And surely, Harris and others are investigating this and other matters closely, even right now, this moment.
Personally, even though I do not know Howard K Stern from beans, having watched him being attacked and maligned from so many corners, I am glad he’s got Lin Wood, and I am glad he is fighting back. Good luck!

Diaries are personal property.
How would anyone here like their written thoughts,
exposed to the world?
April 16th, 2007 at 8:37 am
The man who originally found the diaries was on a talk show and he obtained them in Los Angeles after the reality show folded. They were abandoned. He did not get them in Texas.
April 16th, 2007 at 1:04 pm
These diaries were in Los Angeles at the house she lived at during the realty show according to the guy who too them. She wrote them in Texas, but he gained possession in Los Angeles.
April 18th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
The auction house has authentication as to the whereabouts of the diaries, a store in Los Angeles, for the last 3 or 4 years.

The downhill slope of the Career slide it appears to me. Old Art, you aren’t what you used to be and quite transparent. Connected (paid by?)ET and the Stern side are ya? How ‘investigative’ is that?! You need to take that TRUTH slogan off your site. I suggest replacing it with Nothing but Bald PR.
Well ol Art, it is a month later and guess what, Lin Woods has accomplished NOTHING on the diaries. More energy to go to those baseball games.
You have heard Howard’s not the father right? All the propaganda looks pretty silly now, as do you.
