Monday Morning, we’ll likely learn that the tragic beauty died the way most addicts do–too many drugs, too much alcohol and an excess of pain she couldn’t kill… a curvaceous cover girl who rarely covered up, who streaked like a comet, then crashed and burned before her time.
Nothing new here, except Monday morning will be showtime, when Broward County Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Perper and Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger tell us what the autopsy-investigation reveal. Why am I hearing echoes of something a DEA agent once told me, “Art, cocaine is God’s way of saying, you’ve got too much money…’” And too many people who may want to get at it.
We bring this up after spying a Howard K. Stern fansite. REALLY! There is one, shouting in the desert, and gave us a nice mention. And raised the alleged media bum rap Howard has been getting before even going down. Check out their headline…

Not that we’re for or against anyone, but we are baffled that few have focused on Anna as addict, a grief-stricken new Mom, sad, depressed, self-medicating — and who can stop an addict who doesn’t want to stop or doesn’t know how? Larry Birkhead tried and she kicked him to the curb, found a country that gave less weight to Biodads and moved there to raise a child she didn’t want him or a Mom she called “Mommie Dearest” to have… Blame drugs, blame Howard, blame everyone who failed to do an intervention and kept the drugs flowing, but blame Anna, too.
As the ad says, no one can stop a train, or a sultry, superstarlet hellbent on self-destruction. Easier to go with her flow than lobby for rehab. So what if Howard was a loving yes-man? So what if he marketed everything about her, used every part of the pig including the squeel, that doesn’t make him a murderer, does it? The word has a nice ring, and has been fired by so many who know he’s libel-proof as a public figure they can’t be sued…but with all the firepower and forensic labs available to Broward and the Bahamas, make the case or cut him loose…Maybe that’s not as easy as it sounds.
Mmm, but murder has a nice ring to it…And Vergie and her boys keep repeating it like a Texas mantra with a tumbleweed twang. What I’d like to know is more about Anna’s childhood and why she hated her blood kin so vehemently. Drugs is an easy answer, but any therapist in clinical 101 would insist on the why behind it. Dr. Perper is doing what some call a psychiatric autopsy, which takes into account all factors in a life and a death to explain a mystery in dying, so perhaps we’ll know more on Monday. Will he offer up fresh mud for the mud pies, or shut down the ovens?
No statute on murder, so I’m predicting the beat and beatings will go on. But don’t forget Anna’s role in all this…As an addict, she doc-shopped and charmed willing suppliers…Are they Enablers? Killers? Will medical licenses be revoked? Maybe there will be some charges, but for murder to stick, there better be alot more than I’ve heard. Lots circumstances, suspicions galore, but without a smoking gun, or a solid circumstantial case, the magpies will keep screaching with or without a perp walk. Hey, I’m open for an arrest, shackles, hardtime, the chair…fry him or anyone if you can make the case– but I wouldn’t want to be a prosecutor trying to convict beyond a reasonable doubt with tabloid tales.
One thing Judge Seidlin did was to establish that EVERYONE had a $ motive: Larry sold pix of ANS, Howard was on her gravy train, a legal maestro who played puppy dog, too…and “Mommie Dearest” asked her for money, Anna said, and admitted at the trial she’d deputized a peroxide platinum tabloid reporter from Splash as her chauffeur–and refused to answer if she’ or her sister had been paid…but confessed with long pauses to taking him graveside to mourn baby girl in the Bahamas. And now she’s got a top gun Texan as a big time lawyer with 900 cars who slays corporations for hundreds of millions in contingency fees. You go, Vergie girl! Don’t tell us you just want your daughter buried without her coffin of cash? How come no one will discuss fee agreements with the law firm repping you?
So what’s it gonna be in the end, Howard, the Golddigger, or gravedigger? I’ve never met Howard; I’m sure he’s smart, but have to ask, are conspiracy buffs making him a mad, evil genius in their minds and ours? Every consider they may be giving waaaay to much credit.
I’ve covered some slam dunk guilty guys in my time, like … Richard Jewell. Oops! Well, uh, you remember Richard, the small town cop and Atlanta security guard who became a suspect in the 1996 Olympic Park bombing after he found a knapsack that turned out to be a deadly bomb that killed one and wounded more than 100. His crack libel lawyer got him a pretty penny for being touted as a suspect by the FBI, and years later, survivalist and white supremacist Eric Rudolph was caught and convicted. Oh, and Eric was a murderer, too.
Or Jon Benet Ramsay’s parents? Rumored involved, as so many others were, but never charged. And there was a former Coca Cola exec I once covered who came under media glare when his girlfriend vanished, only to be exonerated after her body was found– she’d been murdered for her atm card, and a killer arrested when an angry girlfriend turned rat.
Just a few cautionary tales before we lynch Howard…Unless you want to get me rewrite and I’ll spin a tale that will curl your toes about a brilliant sociopath who schemed to create a perfect murder with interracting prescription drugs, timed just right to kill everyone stood between him and the money, who connived to kill Anna and her son, and how Dannielynn may be next and the $475 milliion will be his…oh, boy what a tabloid dream, or a tabloid bust. But what if it’s not right, right?

Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to consider that there MAY be other reasons for her death. Howard didn’t do it, and I truly believe that anyone who cared for her as MUCH as he did – couldn’t possibly have had mercenary reasons for being with her for 10+ years. She was a handful and everyone knows that. To have loved her all those years and now care for the baby they shared with such adoration tells me a whole lot about the kind of man he is. Clearly the woman was addicted to painkillers for a l-o-n-g time, but that in and of itself does not make Howard a murderer. He simply is not.

Art, thank you for giving QV’s Anna and Howard support site a head’s up. It seemed to be a necessary place, given all the slanted coverage by not only the tabloids, but “legal” shows like Nancy Grace and “news” like Fox.
The main problem I have with the focus on Howard as evil-doer is the lack of logic involved. As an attorney, he could have done many things to ensure his “place” was clearer than it was — transferred assets, married Anna, had an updated will, had Horizons paid up, made sure he had residency for himself in the Bahamas, etc.
Had he wanted the world to think Anna committed suicide, he would have left hard core drugs in the room at Seminole, right next to her bed. No hard drugs were found.
Had he wanted to kill Daniel, there surely would have been better methods than drug interactions — which are surely unreliable.
The cable media has, by and large, been holding a public trial of Howard, and their info seems specifically aimed toward “guilt.” Yet, at the same time, they give a free pass to others — such as Shelley, Vergie, Hattan, O’Quinn. The locus of negativity is predominately focused on Howard, often to the exclusion of reporting the facts on others involved.
So, Art…thank you for being one of the few who have not stooped to the level of unsubstantiated tabloid journalism.

I have written several e-mails on different sites.I have not missed one second of (every)news program(flipping)back and forth – etonline – twx -showbiz, you name it.I cannot believe some of the hosts have not been able to pick out the evil people they have interview.Don’t they ask around first.Do you realize (This Jackie)who says she was Anna’s best friend “called Howard a murderer”?Her exact words were there is a murder walking the streets. Did any of you notice that whenever she spoke of Anna, she would never say Anna’s name. I did. She would refer to Anna as my friend. I think the reason all of these people who are so quick to put Howard in the Electric Chair, all want a piece of the money because they are all greedy. This Jackie had not even seen Anna in 2 years prior to Anna’s death. She did manage to get on around 5 TV news channels. It’s funny how as soon as she said I’m (Vickie’s)best friend,so let me tell you all about everything, knowing full well that she had not seen Anna in 2 years. She was just believed and (I’ll bet you )She got paid for her interviews.I am a pretty good judge of a persons intentions. I believe Howard Loved Anna unconditionally, and Anna Finally realized Howard loved her no matter what. So she just got tired ov all of the noise here, and with the help of Ford Shelly went to the Bahamas to start a new life. This new life was absolutely going to include Howard, and she named him the father on Danilynn’s Birth Cirtificate. Danilynn only knows Howard as “Daddy” ,and I believe any move he makes regarding Danilynn, financial and otherwise, it will be in her own best interest.In this society we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.But Howard is Guilty until proven innocent.I heard this story once,and have not heard anything about it since,but Anna had a horrible expierence with her implants.( when she got over there,she was in extreme pain do to a horrible infection.They had to remove one implant,and she was swollen so bad all the way up to where her neck and face connected. She had to have pain pills…I would –wouldn’t most of us.Then Daniel (according to his room mate in california)was using meth.(wouldn’t that explain his anorexia as some are calling it?)Also as his mother said, she had asked him to leave because his behavior has turned to aggression with his mother.Prompting Anna to contact the roomate in California.Roomate was concerned over Daniels use of meth.

Stern may not have purposely killed Anna but he is certainly not entitled to a fan club or support group!
Stern is violating the rights of the baby by not permitting her to bond with and love her biological father.
ET!/Insider are paying the low-life Stern a fortune so, thus enabling him to keep mounting these legal challenges. – ET!/Insider seem to be living with Stern and NATURALLY he can always come up with something dramatic for them to pay him for, including appealing the DNA test order. – It is to Stern’s financial advantage to keep this whole sham going for as long as possible. It is reported that ET! is buying the other house in the Bahamas for Stern. WHAT ABOUT THE BABY’S RIGHTS?
On the subject of ET!/Insider: They exploited sick and drugged Anna, just as Stern did. They filmed her when she was practically incoherent — when they should have been getting her professional help at a detox/psych hospital. – If any of those “friends” had any love or respect for Anna, they would NOT have supported her drug habit, nor would they have filmed her.
Stern is a WEAK, COWARDLY, CREEP.

Art, I must applaud your ability to see through the media spotlights and state facts instead of some media spun wetdream.
It has come as a sad day when respectable “news” anchors take to the gossip tabliods as a reliable source of information. Yet does it really surprise anyone?
Our society has lost its moral compass (thank you dr. phil for the title of what we have indeed lost) We have lost the adage of “INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY” and the media has taken to “lynching” an innocent grieving man as if it were their last “great” story.
Howard may have indeed not conducted himself in what would be viewed as the “Strong Male Role” in this relationship, but the man does deserve credit for all that he did do.
He picked the pieces up of Anna’s career on many more then just one occassion, he was her friend that embraced her when people, media and the likes, took to ridiculing her to the worst of extent, he was the only person to be by her side through thick and thin, whether to be acknowledged as the one true man that loved her regardless or as a manager wanting to see her reach the stars she so wanted to touch.
Can another human fault another for loving someone enough to accept the things they can not change of another. Who is to deem that unacceptable? Until you have lived a mile in those shoes one can not cast any opinion, nor an unfounded sentence.
The media has glazed over many facts in this story. The fact that Larry had no qualms of disregarding any legal contracts to the extent of illegal monies gained from selling images he no longer had the rights to, I would personally in my frustration invite his creditors to jump their contracts of privacy and agreements and show him what it is indeed like to disregard a legal binding contract. His correspondence that was aired during the court hearing in Florida left many with a bad taste in their mouth. His ignorance and selfishness was definately noted, as well as his disrepect to allow anyone to grieve over the lose of a child, speaks louder then any booming media voice. And for those supporters stating it was for the greater good, what greater good is there. As a man proclaiming paternity of a child that not only lost her brother so soon in life but also her mother, this man has disrespected her mother to the greatest lengths that the media has allowed. All for the sake of a juicy story. If at any time this man had one ounce of care for the child he would not have taken it upon himself to the media in such a blantant sign of “personal interest” but instead conducted himself in a fashion that would deem appropriate respect.
This child is going to grow up with many outlets to seek the truth and if Larry is indeed the father, now would be a great time to back pedal and stop making a spectacal of himself in the media spot light.
It does not surprise me though, that Ms. Arthur has too taken to the media like a bad habit. Anna chose to distance herself from her family, for justified reasons. Her family sought to live off the drippings of her career, the shadows upon them do not seem to be brought to light as they should be. For a mother to conduct herself so poorly makes me wonder how any mother would respond to these actions. There was never any doubt that Anna wanted to be buried next to her son, no question! But apparently mother knows best… not so much. Ms. Arthur had little respect for her daughter through out living years, and showed yet again what lack of respect she had for Anna in death. That to me speaks louder then any media spin.
As I am one who enjoys a juicy story this story has gone too far ! When media outlets look to the gossip tabloids as reliable sources and where anchors conduct themselves poorly, all one can do is shake their head in disgust.
I do hope that someday the media goes back to their “roots” where fact is stated with no extreme dash of sensationalism to boost ratings. As this story continues to play out in the spot light, I offer one to take a personal inventory before they point any fingers.
May the truth finally be reported, and support be given to those who indeed lost their voices while the media spun their juicest story around the lose of someone we all took notice to for our own reasons.

Incidentally, we usually don`t release preliminary observation. And the reason why we did in this case is because of the large public interest. And we wanted if not to eliminate at least to reduce the kind of unreasonable and false rumors which are bound to fly.
GRACE: Dr. Perper, I agree with your policy completely. And in this case, I`m glad to put rumors to rest in a situation that`s already very, very painful to the family of Anna Nicole Smith. One day, her little girl, Dannielynn, is going to grow up and she`s going to read all these transcripts and she`s going to view everything that surrounded the death of her mother. I have, quite honestly, been astonished at the lack of empathy Howard K. Stern has received, and how he has been vilified.
In many ways he is having a Job experience: the love of his life has suddenly died, he had to fight publicly just to bury her, all the time knowing she was laying in a cooler; Larry B. has hounded him all the way to the Bahama’s over Anna’s child, he has been served eviction papers, Anna’s mother appears-and every night on Cable News he is trashed..and accused of murder by Anna’s long lost father.
All while coping with the shock of Anna’s death.
This story has revealed to me the sad, heartless state of many people who will attack a wounded soul.
In our tabloid society it is considered tacky to sell the pictures yourself and keep the money rather than letting Joe Paparazzi pocket the money, which will happen anyway…another thing he has been vilified over- all the while destroying someone’s reputation and making fodder of their tragic situation…for money. I am sure Greta and Nancy Grace have had their sponsors profit over this story-but that’s considered ok.
I hope he is found to be the father, not responsible for Anna’s death, or Daniel’s, and that the public that has so condemned him has a tinge of conscious left for the horrible way he has been treated during this tragic time in his life.
And at the end of the day we can examine the kind of people we really are.

Just got a nice note from one of the Howard K. Stern fan site monitors and wanted to share its wisdom and media insight with all my much appreciated readers. Since starting the blog, a few weeks ago, we’re closing in on 35,000 page views, with Anna Nicole leading the pack of interest–Art
…thank you for your efforts to curb speculation-based reporting. I don’t usually follow “celebrity” news, but I became interested in this based solely on the persecution of Stern in the media. How could I not? Granted, the example may be superficial, but I do feel that the public fascination in the handling of this story can be perhaps traced to deeper issues. To me, this story represents some of the very fundamental fears many of us have of both media bias and mob mentality. If such fluff is deemed worthy of manipulation and public outcry, how can we possibly buy into the mass media’s coverage of more serious events with which there are massive stakes at hand? I’ve already obnoxiously quoted Murrow once, so suffice to say that the standards of his generationare the standards by which I still believe media ought be measured.
“Our” site includes an interesting bunch, some purely emotional, some a touch on the sycophantic side, but there is an earnest and grass-roots effort to disseminate fact, which I respect. That and a sense of humor make it worthwhile to me. I am glad you have taken the time to have a look. I don’t know that I fancy being followed by the real persons on whom we comment too much, but I hope knowledge of the existence of the site lends some comfort to those facing public execration. We may be an off-kilter bunch, to put it mildly, but there is a great deal of empathy and respect for those who refuse to condemn a man in the absence of adequate cause.

I simply would like to say this is the first web site I have seen that has given this poor man any a decent word. I lost my husband suddenly in 1998 he died right in front of me. This gentlemen reminds me of what i went through I you can tell he is in agony. I think he is the father and if he is not, he sure is not showing it. But he doesn’t even get credit for that. The media has lached on to the whimp Larry and made him a God.

Howard is an innocent man. He loved Anna and Daniel. Whether he is the biological father of Dannielynn does not matter. He deserves the baby and everything else. The media has been one sided and that is not right. Howard needs to know people care. I can not believe these doctors and nurses and emt/bodyguard can just have blood on their hands and get away with it. This all disturbes me that Howard is blamed for everything. I can`t wait until he gets to sue all of them for slander. Has anyone not thought if Howard loses the baby that he may do something to himself? The media can be blamed then.

I just want to say as I’ve been saying on alot of message boards for the past couple of weeks, that I think Howard K. Stern seems like a really nice guy who wouldn’t hurt anyone!
I’m so sick of all the low down media hype that is on every cable news channel. They have all stooped to new levels and just when I think they can’t go any lower, they do!!!
I don’t beleive for a minute that Howard had anything to do with the deaths of Daniel or Anna. I believe Howard loved Anna and did whatever she wanted him to. I should be so lucky to have someone like Howard in my life. I think he is sweet, gentle, kind and patient. They are the best qualities anyone could ever hope for in one person. No one like that is capable of doing the things he is so wrongly being accused of doing.
If anyone can be called an enabler, it’s that Dr. Kris who was prescribing all those meds and was with Anna while she was taking them. Why aren’t the media hounding her? They all decided to zero in on Howard for some strange reason and it was like a snow ball getting bigger and bigger. It seems like they can’t get stopped in their accusations against Howard. In the end, they will all have to eat their words and then some.
I feel so badly for Howard and I hope to God that he does have someone there with him to help him through all of this crap! I wouldn’t have been able to hold up from losing a loved one, let alone having to go through that circus of a hearing just to get Anna buried where she wanted to be buried. I would have been a basket case a long time ago, but this poor, dear man has to keep going through battle after battle, all because of money grubbing slime balls and that includes the media, along with Vergie, Larry, Ford Shelley and many others, including Mo, his wife and Dr. Kris. As for Kris, Mo and his wife, when things get tough, they take off.
For the sake of this man that has been only trying to do what Anna wanted done, please let this poor soul grieve in peace!!! Howard has not been making any money off of Anna’s death, but everyone else is, yet all the fingers are pointed toward Howard. How utterly unfair!! He is also keeping Dannielynn out of the public eye and you can better believe that if that horrible Vergie or Larry had her, they would be making all the money they could already.
I believe Vergie was thinking she could get Anna buried in Texas so that she would be able to sell her funeral to anyone that would pay big bucks. She must have been very worried that she wasn’t going to get the money so she tried to have the funeral stopped. That was absolutely dispicable!! Poor Howard had to sit in that church waiting for Vergie to finally show up and for Anna’s body to be brought in. I think I wouldn’t have been able to keep myself from strangling that fat pig.
Please, everyone, think with your own brains and don’t beleive all that’s on tv or in the tabloids. They are only saying all these things about Howard to get viewers, ratings and ultimately, money.

About a month or so, a new website http://www.annanicoleandhowardkstern.com came into my path. I have been a true follower of the site which states FACTS first and OPINIONS second. I have met alot of nice people with some of the same thoughts as me. True supports of anna…..a mother’s wish and Howard K Stern. It is truely amazing how the media will only show what they want whether it is true or not. They do it for ratings and state their opinions first and facts later. The media puts their spin on things which is how RUMORS get started. Here at this website, who have caught the media in many false stories. The knowledge of all of us at this website and digging we have done, has made us TRUE believers of Howard K stern and Dannielynn and what Anna would have wanted. This whole story does not add up. I give credit for Mr.Stern staying out of the spotlight, but because of that, the media is making him the bad guy. Please come to our website and see the work we have done as a group to totally support Mr. Stern!!!! My heart breaks for him and the loneliness he feels without Anna, his best friend and lover and mother of his child. We love you Howard! Howard, if you ever get to this site, you’ll see that there are so many people that believe in you and love you and can see what kind of man you really are. We all support you and pray for you and pray that you and you alone, will get to raise that darling little girl. I think you are doing a wonderful job so far and she needs you so much.
I know you are still grieving for Anna and Daniel and I feel so badly that you have to be going through all this crap at all, let alone while you are grieving. I hope that everyone that has done you wrong, pays dearly for what they’ve done to you and will probably keep doing.
Stay strong and know that there are loads of people that care about you and worry about you. We do all love you Howard. We can all see that you are a loving, decent, kind, and patient man who deserves the best in life and I hope that you start getting the best. You certainly deserve it!

Will the media scum ever stop!!! They are still at it and it makes me sick. They just won’t let Howard alone. I as well as alot of other people have been emailing the media but they just won’t listen.
They are the real villians here. They are purposely trying to destroy a sweet innocent man!! When will they stop?
They obviously aren’t taking a highly respectable man like Dr. Perper and his team’s word for anything. I think that is terrible! I think Dr. Perper is beyond reproach and that they looked into this with a fine tooth comb.
I pray that God will be with Howard tomorrow as he goes to that inquest and I’m sure he will be and will keep him strong. This poor man has gone through all kinds of hell, with losing Anna and Daniel and then having to go through that travesty of a hearing when he was grieving and just wanting to do what Anna wanted. I think he is a wonderful person and should be commended for all that he has done over the years for Anna. Also for taking such excellent care of Dannielynn. This man should be praised, not hung.
The media are nothing more than a lynch party and they all seem to be having a good time doing the lynching and it doesn’t matter if Howard is innocent, they still want to hang him.

I, too, have been drawn into this case because of the irresponsible vilification of Howard K. Stern. I’ve compared the media’s condemnation of this man to Jewel and the Ramsey’s many times, and was surprised to see you make the same connection. I was under the impression that the media vowed to learn a lesson after John and Patsy Ramsey. After all, I heard many of the same reporters screaming for HKS head on a platter, mince and scrape and wince as they suggested that MAYBE, PERHAPS, it was POSSIBLE that they were wrong to accuse the Ramsey’s of wrongdoing so early into the investigation.
Perhaps HKS is all of the things the media has accused him of, or not. What I find refreshing is that a reporter has chosen to take a step back and allow the facts to unfold without hyperbole.
A very brave step, Mr. Harris, to be the lone voice whispering in a cacophony of shrieks.

A number of people stated that this is the first site that has good things to say about Mr. Howard K. Stern.
Since the majority of the population feels strongly about his resistance to the DNA test, he is probably the most despised man in America right now.
JANE DEVIN, who posted in this forum, has a site that supports Stern. She is quite articulate and is probably an attorney or writer. She offers her warm and fuzzy site and she even states that opposing opinions are permitted.

However, upon posting a respectful but opposing view, I saw that it magically disappeared by the time I got up the next day. To be certain, I tried again and the same thing happened.
I did notice that VERY subtle opposing opinions are permitted, but Jane jumps right on it and explains why it is wrong. Anything less than 999.9999% approval of Stern means DELETE.
Well, what is wrong is that her site does Stern no good. People don’t like to be censored or manipulated and people don’t like to have their Constitutional rights pulled out from under them.
As an intelligent and educated person, I believe that it is un-American to present a website that is nothing but propaganda. Under no circumstances would I consider visiting again.

My site, Linda, does not support Stern as much as it supports the right of people who’ve commited no crimes to live in peace, and handle their personal affairs with dignity. For the news to actually be the news — even-handed, fact-based and credible — and not a tabloid wrapped up in a gossip magazine. And yes, there are posting rules on my site — the first amendment does not apply to privately managed websites. If views are intelligent and reasonable, based in fact, and the e-mail address is valid, they make it on the page. If not, they don’t. TMZ provides an option, and they seem to have few rules.

The people only know what the people read & hear in the media. This is why so many have so many questions.
When Howard told under oath he had no income except Anna how is he paying for all the lawyers? Is it coming from Anna’s estate & is that legal for him to do? People are watching him complain about the media & trying to block the inquest on Daniel’s death & at the same time he is doing interviews on ET. It looks like a double standard to people watching this drama.
Can you explain these?
People want answers.
How can there be more than one story of what happened by the people involved?

Taz, the wife of Anna’s bodyguard MOE, recounts the tragic afternoon —
and when she first realized Anna was unconscious.
“There was another person there with us, but she was in the living room of the suite.
My husband called me and I was speaking with him on the phone and so
she heard me talking and thought I was speaking to Anna …
she came into the room and I said, ‘Please don’t wake up Anna, she’s

and I didn’t like what I saw … her mouth was open …

I spoke to and that would ring back to his phone, and I told him,
‘You need to get back here, I don’t like what I see. Anna’s not responding
to me and she’s not breathing, and you need to call 911.’”

Taz, the woman who discovered Anna Nicole’s lifeless body, tells ET what
desperate measures she took to attempt to revive the star!
After discovering ANNA NICOLE SMITH in her bed not breathing and her skin covered
with purple patches, TAZ, a registered nurse and wife of Anna’s bodyguard MOE,
began using her skills to try and bring Anna back to life.
“I tilted her head up and listened to see if she was breathing and there was
nothing,” she tells our THEA ANDREWS. “I tried to give her some breaths, but they didn’t go in.”
Soon after, her husband, a registered paramedic, arrived on the scene.
“He said, ‘What happened? What’s going on? What’s wrong with Anna?
‘ I said, ‘Anna’s not breathing, Anna has no pulse, I can’t get a pulse,
I can’t get a pulse,’” she says.
At the same time, Taz was giving Anna CPR, but she says Moe soon took over.
“He said, ‘Is there any reason she’s still on the bed?’ He said this was not effective,
telling her, ‘You have to get Anna on the floor.’”
She told Moe she tried but Anna was too heavy for her. “He pushed me out of the
way and picked her up like a feather and rested her on the floor and went to do CPR.”
According to Taz, when the paramedics arrived, they told Moe to continue CPR
while they set up. Once the paramedics began to work on Anna, Taz thought she might be okay.
“At that point did you think Anna was going to live?” Thea asks her.
“I was hoping she would,” Taz says.
And although Taz admits she thinks “it’s possible” Anna committed suicide,
she says no one will really know how she died until the toxicology reports come
back in a few weeks.

booze-fueled frenzy that ended in a hotel room so stocked with meds that it resembled
a ‘pharmacist’s shop.’”
A bouncer at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is talking (here, here—it’s about time!).
He said Anna was drinking so much into the early morning hours before she died that it
took two people—a body guard and that fool Howard K. Stern—to carry her back to her hotel room.
“I saw two guys walking her out. She was pretty much all trashed. She was messed up.
She couldn’t walk on her own. … Her bouncer (MOE)was on one side and her lawyer friend(STERN)
on the other,” the bouncer said.
Hours before she died, Anna was, a bartender said, “tossing back double shots.
Her eyes were droopy. It looked like she was really, really drunk,” a bartender
later said. “She was slurring her speech. She looked plastered.”
There are photographs available of Anna’s last hours—because, the bartender added,
“fans surrounded her that night, snapping pictures of her as she laughed and downed drinks.”
“She talked to a few people but she was mostly concentrating on the drinking,” he said.
“She was wasted out of her mind, but that’s the Anna Nicole me and my friends
have grown to know.”
The Star magazine is reporting that “entering [Anna’s] room was like walking into a
pharmacist’s shop. Outfitted with a canopy bed, tall plants and leopard-print hangers,
the room was filled with prescription medication including Xanax, Provigil, Vicodin
and ‘a … lot of methadone.’”
Methadone kills its victims while they’re sleeping. So a report that no one called 911
right away would jibe with Anna taking an overdose of methadone. No one would
have known she was dying while it was happening. Loud snoring is also a reported
symptom of a methadone overdose. We talk about silent killers—well, methadone actually is.
Look, no one forced Anna’s to take all those drugs and drink like a skid row bum.
We heard she had the flu that week and all sorts of other “theories”
(that incredibly inept, tabloid network, FOX NEWS CHANNEL, is leading the pack,
reporting any rumor it can dredge up). The fact of the matter is, she was medicating
the thumping pain that had become her life after her son died.
Howard K. Stern facilitated Anna’s death. If he didn’t stop her from abusing alcohol
and drugs, he is as much to blame as a street drug dealer. If those prescriptions are
in his name, he might as well have put a bullet in her head. What kind of man would
sit around and watch the mother of his child—so he says—kill herself? Stern has
some explaining to do—maybe not to the police, but to the public.

Thank you for pointing out Howard is not a bad guy. He is a man who feel in love with a drug addict and did not understand the disease. I don’t think Anna needed an enabler. Anna was able to obtain drugs with out any ones help. She made the money. Howard helped her make the money but that is his job in which he performed it good. Maybe he could have not done his job and left her broke but he loved and cared for her. He just did not understand how to care for a drug addict. I don’t believe for one minute he knew exactly what she was taking. Drug addicts do not report their intake to any one.
The second thing I would like to address is the real story which is the drug epidemic. Years ago we could feel the drugs we were taking. Some time late 90′s the FDA changed the drugs to take the euphoric effect out of them. Since this change the overdoses have become the number 2 cause of death in America. People can not feel the drugs and think they need more and are overdosing. Especially older American’s who are use to the way the drugs were when they actually made you feel better. The government thinks they are helping with drug addiction but in reality they have created a far worse problem. People are dying, no one seems to care because after all they are only drug addicts and most people seem to think their lives do not count and are not real. I can not understand why we are not concerned about the real story. Anna and Daniel are only one of millions of families that are losing love ones. You all want to blame Howard but if you ever tried to control a drug addict you would understand it was out of his control.
Remember when Judge Seidland spoke about roots, look at Anna’s roots, can’t we agree their was a problem way before Howard came onto the seen? Did you see the way her mom acted on the stand, all those stale tactics. Then their is Larry Birkhead who directly after Daniel died came after Anna, and those horrible emails, the words he used towards a grieving mom, it must have made her feel so bad. Don’t you cry for her? Her son dies, her mom on CNN, Larry…Howard took care of her for so many years, the best he knew how. How can we honesty believe he was only there for the money. You don’t think he could have gone and gotten another star to represent? Look what he did for Anna’s career. I believe he is with her out of love and loyalty. I pray he regains all the straight he needs to protect Dannielynn. Anna understood the importance of a good parent and wanted that for her child.

I thank you Art Harris for posting my complete post. THAT I consider fair & balanced.
There are many questions & they need to be addressed. You give that chance for that to
happen. I had heard Jane Devin’s site was fair to discuss both “sides” which to me is just
ALL the information out there as “we” weren’t there & know nothing but what the media outlets
tell us.
But when we are seeing the people involved making statements in interviews then we
have questions when we see those vary. We’ve heard the experts state things that warrant
explanations. Such as who was questioned when we know 3 other people were at the scene
and weren’t interviewed. I consider your site fair where as at the other recomended site I get
my post heavily, well 99% cut & a bias opinion back.
What I like others would like is answers.
And my post doesn’t even cover all the inconsistencies that I’ve heard & read but I think it shows
questions that would be nice to know what is true.
I guess the next choice would be to turn the TV off.

The people only know what the people read & hear in the media.
This is why so many have so many questions.
How can there be more than one story of what happened by the people involved?
Editor’s Note: Teena, I read the very lengthy remainder of your post, which
essentially was doubtful of Perper’s report and statements from those who
were around Anna when she died. I saw that some of the inconsistencies in
various media stories were, as you said, questionable. But I would not rely on
the tabloids and other outlets to be truthful or factual. They are the same ones,
in fact, who told us that a website that belonged to Kim Walther was hers — and it wasn’t.
They are the same ones who said Big Moe “changed his tune.” He didn’t.
As a result of all the rumors, speculations, and just poor reporting, I simply don’t
trust their accuracy or their intentions. What I do trust is that professional men — men
of science and experienced investigators — took six weeks to exhaustively examine
every piece of evidence. I trust their conclusion. That some in the media and the public
would believe their opinions should usurp these men’s credibility — that they
would continue to cast aspersions — is truly beyond me.
You are welcome on this site, but we will not launch an laymen’s independent investigation here.

Teena reiterates ALL that we have ALL viewed on the video-taped interviews – timelines, etc. all changed day-to-day by witnesses in room – I’ve e-mailed Seminole and Broward Homicide so many times re: same over last month – they never call back. Yes, Teena is absolutely right – the parties have changed reports over and over and over and all conflict with each other. My God, how can any police dept. ignore these conflicting statements! It’s ludicrous! if not infantile! And then the issue of Dr. Erosh and HK$ completely having control over the drugs! Oh, well, I guess if anyone out there wants to off someone, all they have to do is do what’s been done in this case, and, of course, make sure Dr. Perper is the coroner.

I am still in shock regarding the lack of responsibility from respected ‘news’, ‘court’ shows while reporting on Anna Nicole Smith’s death.
My reading is that these people loose touch with reality and think of themselves as emperors and empresses. Should be a ‘term’ (employment) limit for them. They all sink into the gutter like exploitive politicians and silly tabloid fools.Forming a public media lynching party to “get” Stern is beyond educated responsible journalism.
For me, back to public TV and the private news sources with integrity. I wish Howard best luck in legal remedies against all of them.

I am baffled at this whole Anna Nicole Smith situation. I think this whole situation is tragic for her, Howard and Dannielynn. It is so obvious that Howard was in love with her and loves that baby. Well first of all, I wish to be contacted regarding this. If Howard could get the tapes of THE ANNA NICOLE SMITH SHOW he could certainly prove his love to Anna and Daniel. I watched that show faithfully, and remember it was a reality show. Anna controlled everything in her life including Howard, Daniel and Kimmie. No one told her what to do. She was almost 6 feet tall and weighed over 200 pounds and I would love to see someone force her to do something she didn’t want to do. Next is Virgie Aurther. What a sleeze trailer trash good for nothing person. She is in this for the money. I hope none of them get a cent. Anna’s supposed friend Jackie Hatten was an embarassment to the caucasin race. What a liar. And to think Nancy Grace and Larry King actually put her on to ask her questions about Anna. The CEO of Trimspa’s wife told it like it was. She and her husband had been around Anna for a while and they had never even heard of Jackie Hatten. Next is Larry Birkhead. What a pretty boy. He completely sold Anna out and he don’t give a darn about Anna or Dannielynn. He is always posing and he is the one who sold Anna’s pictures. He is the one profiting from her. Howard isn’t and hasn’t been doing any of that. Wake up America. Howard is the one who worked for her for 12 years without a cent. He genuinely loves her. Another thing is this. If you know anything about methadone you would know that you can’t take vicodin, demerol, fentanyl or anything like that because methadone has a blocker in it and you couldn’t feel any of the narcotics that you were ingesting. You could overdose by taking multiple narcotics but you certainly couldn’t feel the effects of the other narcotics. The only medication that works with methadone are valium, xanax and darvocet n-100. So when I hear all this crap about all these narcotics she has, she couldn’t take them all at the same time because it would be defeating the purpose. If she was heavily addicted to methadone, in a 24 hour period if your body doesn’t have the methadone you become very ill. Vomiting, diarrhea cold sweats and chills. Hydrocodone, demerol and anything like that will not stop that. Methadone is the only thing that will relieve those symptoms. You are right about snoring being an effect of a large amount of methadone being ingested. Anna had very little methadone in her blood. Very little. Howard isn’t to blame for her death. Once again she controlled what she did. He loved her and how do any of us know that he didn’t confront her and leave her with options if she didn’t get help? Don’t criticize if you haven’t walked in his or her shoes. It’ a terrible tragedy and one that can’t be undone. I’ve been addicted to pain relievers and to methadone and luckily I lived through it. It’s a lonely existance and no one believe me, could control me. Addicts don’t have people control them. The drug controlled my life and the drugs only.

Larry Birkhead, you should be ashamed of yourself and you should let Howard K. Stern to visit Danielynn anytime in the future. Let him in Dannielyn’s future. Mr. Stern is a good person. He has a good heart. Anne N. Smith controlled everything in her life including Howard, Danniel and baby Dannielynn because she trusted Mr. Stern above of it. No one told her what to do. He is an innocent and he love Anna and Daniel and baby dannielynn. I believe in 100% Howard K. Stern is deep love with a unconditionally and a finally realized he loved her no matter what. So she just got tired of all noise/rumors. Please let this poor soul grieve in peace. He is sweet, gentle, kind and patient. Howard K. STern, you go for it. Do what you would have wanted you to do. Take care of her baby girl. Don’t look around you at the fools you encounter everyday just remember. Anna trusted YOU (Howard K. Stern) with greatest gift she had. God bless you and may god keep you and Dannielynn strong faith. Keep in pray…
Larry Birkhead, I know you feel lucky to have Dannielynn but you did not respect what Anne real want for Howard K. Stern’s future for Danneilynn. Howard is not look for money but he does love more than he lose loves one.
To people to pleae consider and pray to let Larry B to share with Howard K stern to be part of Dannielynn’s future. I believe Howard love Dannileynn in his heart if she was his own. Please allow him. He is good man. He is very sad. He is supportive to Larry 100%. why can you let him see Dannielynn’s future and safety. LEt Anne Smith be happy and peace..

Howard K. Stern is SADDEN and he missed Anne smith and he now missing Dannielynn. He felt lost everything he love ones. I hope Howard K. Stern will see Dannielyn’s life and yearly. So go fight for Howard’s Rights to see dannielynn. He not ever touch any Anna smith’s $$$$$$$$$…
